Chocolate Muffin Drama

A/N: So i'm on the olympic chocolate muffin tiktok and then this appeared lol. Everyone is aged up, sports/countries are not specified (except for Vil, Rook, and Rollo), and Yuu/Reader is a female

Everything starts when Ace wants to get breakfast at the Olympic dining hall and his eyes land on Yuu eating about 10 chocolate muffins

Yuu literally has crumbs on her face and the chocolate filling (or sauce? Idk) on her fingers. She looked like a hot mess that someone from the German team showed up to "clean the potato"

Ace is both surprised and confused

Later on, while sitting in the audience for a sport, he watches Yuu destroying the opposing team. Gold medal worthy, in his eyes

Ace rn: "is that the same girl who devoured those muffins in one sitting?"

Yes, yes, it is

Anyways, Ace is SMITTEN by Yuu and is determined to win her heart

How does he do it? He grabs a muffin at the dining hall and tries to give it to Yuu, but she is not there.

He comes back the next day to find out there are no more muffins! (gee I wonder why???)

Plan B: give it to Trey

Ace: I need you to tell me what ingredients are used to make this muffin

Trey: okay....

Eventually, Trey cracks the code to the muffins and even writes down the recipe for Ace

If only all's well, ends well

Meanwhile, a muffin thief was currently bringing the muffins back to the Village

Ruggie drops off his stash to Leona (while also taking one or two for himself. Leona pretends to not see it) so he can give it to Yuu later that day

See, Leona has been doing this for a few days now, but he waits until Yuu gets her servings before taking the rest to avoid suspicion

Yuu caught Leona's eyes at the same event Ace went to

He would have gone for more had a certain Frenchman not sat by him

Leona: there are other seats, ya know?

Rook: au contraire! These are the best seats to watch Madame Trickster perform!

So Leona repeats the process and basically plays hide and seek with Rook while Ruggie works.

He ends the day by being Yuu's prince charming (literally) and gifts her the muffins

He knows about the redhead who is trying to recreate the muffins.

It would be bad if the recipe got stolen...

Except, it wasn't Ruggie who took it. It was a bat

Lilia is grinning like he won the lottery. He saw how the muffins became viral on MagicTok and he just had to make some to share to all of his fellow athletes

(Little did anyone know that Lilia would accidentally end the Games if he succeeded)

Luckily, Silver is there to save everyone

He recognized the muffins from the dining hall and Malleus mentioned his new friend loved them

So he goes out to the nearby shops/places in Paris to buy the ingredients, unaware of a group of six guys currently on a goose chase to find a recipe

(tbh idk if the athletes can explore the city but let's pretend they can)

Silver has never met Yuu, but according to Malleus, she was a nice person.

Malleus suggests that Silver makes Yuu some muffins (it's a miracle he was able to at the Village). Silver gives some to her as a thank you for befriending his brother

What he doesn't know is that Malleus is trying to set the two up, so he talks about Silver when he's around Yuu and recruits Sebek to stop Lilia from adding his "secret ingredient" to the muffins

Bonus:

Malleus also drags Silver to Yuu's sporting events, sitting away from Ace and Leona

Except he has his own problem with someone from the French team

SATORU. Hates rainy days. He's more of a sunflower. Won't stop complaining about being stuck because of the rain and how bored he is. He would be such a baby about it, all whinny and annoying.

Binge watches TV. But like, a whole series or a full fucking trilogy. Eventually loses interest and the TV becames some background noise as he scrolls through his phone.

Eats sweets cause he's bored. He would finish with all the snacks in the house and won't have a proper meal for the whole day.

Sex. He would chase you around the house, flirting and throwing shitty pick up lines until you give in.

SUGURU. Trying so hard to just chill. Since he's an overthinker, he enjoys rainy days when he has company and can keep his mind busy. Hates them when he's alone.

Windows open. He loves the sound and the smell of rain. Specially when it rains at night.

Bokworm. If you're into books, he would enjoy a long reading session as you both listen to the rain in the background. If you're not, he would still want to be in the same room as you, following you around with his book.

The only movie that came close to representing a girl like you, with your body type, was My Big Fat Greek Wedding. That was the right kind of rom-com, the one where the woman didn't need to change herself. She just developed confidence and scored the guy of her dreams.

Unfortunately, real life was not as kind as the movies.

"You can't quit tennis!"

"What makes you say that?" You play with your food, poking the fettuccine alfredo with chicken recipe you cooked up for the both of you. You were craving something creamy this time of night. And Tashi was too.

"You just can't. You're amazing. Why would you quit? With talent like yours, it seems like such a waste to just quit." Tashi had already finished her plate.

"It was fun while it lasted. But I don't see myself doing it."

"Bullshit (Y/N)." You could never look at her when you lied.

Tashi recalls the first time she saw you play. It was the day after her own match. And you were pure fire. Your strokes were quick, most of your serves unreturnable. She felt bad for your opponent because you never gave her a chance. Instead, you decimated her. In short, you were a phenomenon. Someone like herself.

You two played the next day. Tashi won, but she never felt such a thrill, such a surge of adrenaline. You were the only opponent she's played so far to have her respect and friendship. You were great. And she wished the world could see what she saw.

Your passion for tennis rivaled Tashi's. It was your purpose in life. It was the perfect sport for you to destress yourself to, hitting balls and rallying yourself against the walls in the public park. You wanted to achieve that envious Grand Slam career title. You wanted to continue in tennis. You didn't want to quit.

"Is it those assholes again?"

You look up at Tashi. You both dealt with your share of racism. But you had an extra pile of shit thrown on top of you. People say all the time that chubby people can't play tennis. "Come on. You can't listen to them." Tashi sets down the pasta bowl. You painted it for her that one time you guys decided to try pottery painting. She takes a sip of water from the mug you gifted her. And the cherry on top was that she was wearing one of your shirts. You left it at her house when you slept over.

"That's easy for you to say." You set your plate down.

A frown forms on her face. You don't like it when Tashi frowns. "(Y/N)..."

"It's all they talk about." Your eyes rake over her figure. Thin arms. A limber, slender body. Athletic with the right muscle balance so she didn't seem like too much of an athlete. She was model material, Tashi Duncan. And that's why all the offers came rolling in for her. All the brand deals, all the money. And you were instead left with scraps, still wrapping duct tape around the handle of your dad's Wilson racket. Relying on the graciousness of Tashi Duncan when you were in a tough spot. She bought you new shoes in time for the U.S. Open this year because your old ones had holes and were worn down. You hated relying on her. You hated that she always insisted you didn't need to pay her back. Your company was enough.

Your love was enough.

"What's the point in playing tennis if no one is going to talk about me playing tennis!" You raise your voice out of frustration. You were so angry that you could throw the plate at the wall and break it. "All everyone wants to talk about is how fat I am and that fat girls don't belong in tennis! It's not going anywhere! No one but you sees my potential. And my family and I have been losing money! It's too costly. Stanford didn't even take me for tennis." You were accepted for your brains. Not for your true passion. It wasn't worth investing in tennis when you were getting nothing in return. Nothing but racist, fatphobic vitriol that continued to wear you down every day.

"And that's why you should continue to play. You need to prove them wrong!" Tashi keeps her voice steady. "You prove them wrong, then they can't say shit."

You wanted to believe her. But you knew the truth. You weren't Tashi Duncan. You could never be Tashi Duncan. Only girls like Tashi Duncan and Irina Petrovska got the brand deals, got the fame, got the money.

Only girls like them got to continue their passion and turn it into a career.

"Proving them wrong won't do them anything. At this point I'm just...a circus pig." Your voice drops, but Tashi can hear what you said.

"You're not a circus pig."

"That's easy for you to say! You're...You're fucking perfect! You're the face of tennis! You're who people think of when someone brings up the term tennis player. Not me! You. I'm not meant to be on the court."

"Don't say that. Don't. Say. That." Desperation bleeds into Tashi's voice as she looks at you. "Do you remember what we agreed on during that after party? After our match?"

Your lack of a response tells her that you do. "We're going up there. Together. Next year. Doubles. Me and you. We're going to take over the world." Her fingers tap against the table. "You can't quit! You promised you would play with me! You promised you would. And we always keep our promises."

"Well maybe I'm fed up. Maybe I'm just done with it all." You sip your water. "Proving them wrong only seems to enhance the insults I get! It only makes things worse for me! And it only hurts you!"

"Why would it hurt me?" Tashi is in disbelief.

"Because I'm someone you shouldn't associate with. I shouldn't be playing with you! I don't deserve to! I'm a terrible friend!" Your voice cracks. "I am so jealous of you Tashi. All the time. There's always this sick twisting in my stomach. And you deserve everything that you've gotten but I can't help but feel that some of it should go to me! But it doesn't because I'm the fat one! And no one wants to see a fat girl in an Adidas ad. And it's not fair to you because you didn't do anything! And I don't deserve to be friends with you or even play against your because I'm a terrible person!"

She doesn't respond. She's too busy looking at you, watching the way your face contorts with emotion, the way your tears fall from your eyes. It was like you were unloading everything.

Tashi hated seeing you cry.

"You can't quit tennis."

You look at her with shock. Is that all she could say after everything you dumped on her?

You expected her to fume, to lash out. Or maybe to tell you to go kill yourself. She's done her fair share of that to people. And yet, all she can tell you is that you can't quit tennis.

"You still somehow managed to make this about tennis."

Tashi leans forward, her hand taking yours. She enjoys the feeling of your soft skin. You always took great care of your skin, moisturizing constantly. If she needed some cream to moisturize her dried out hands, she could always ask you. You had so much in your purse. She could smell that lavender cream you used. Some said it was the scent only old people picked. But she found herself craving that lavender smell late at night in her bed.

"I understand...everything...you're saying. Remember that time we were talking? About how we both envy white girls and their opportunities and their easy life and their ability to get away with everything on the court." She remembers the thinly veiled racist remarks fired at the both of you when you were playing against white opponents. The rage she felt but couldn't exercise because letting her emotions run free would only make her the angry Black woman and they would instead penalize her.

"Tashi-"

"I don't hold it against you. That's...the way the game is right now." The both of you were playing a white man's sport. Unfortunately, this was the reality.

"It's...stupid. And ridiculous. You shouldn't even be friends with me!"

Your breath hitches in your throat. You couldn't believe what you were hearing. Tashi Duncan...loves you? Even after everything you confessed? You wanted to say so many things, wanted to tell her that she was wrong to love you. She couldn't love you and shouldn't love you.

About a week ago bc I was laughing too hard Also techinically this morning. My eyes just started tearing up a bit while I was still in bed & staring against the wall. I guess that white wall was just tugging at my heartstrings

The only children I have are my OCs <3 My current beloved OCs are Aym, Marchosias (💖💖💖💖💖), and Baal; all for Obey Me

04 - What sports do you play/have you played?

So as a kid, I took MSE (self-defense) classes, I did ballet for a short while, and I played badminton. But now I'm not really doing much sports anymore. I'm occasionally working out in a sad attempt to stay healthy but that's...not working out all that well because I keep forgetting about it lol. That being said, I walk anywhere as long as it's a walkable distance away (to me, that's around 90min max), idc it's the European mindset. Der Fußbus hält überall :)

06 - What is the first thing you notice about people?

When I pass strangers on the street, I try to look for little moments that bring them joy. That being said, 90% of the time I'm just lost in my own thoughts & have completely tunnel vision, so imagine noticing anything 😭 When I first meet people tho, it's usually the way they look at you, which tbh is a little ironic because I sometimes just cannot look people in the eyes NFDHSKGJHKSDLGS

They used to be blue, but now they're more of a greyish green with a few brown spots in them

08 - Scary movies or happy endings?

Okay endings, actually! Where characters don't get the happy ending they were hoping for, and some things are still a little messy, but all in all things are okay and they finally get to breath again. Though I guess that's kind of a happy ending? lol

My newest talent is being able to imitate the cry of an owl. My sister explained it to me earlier & once I got it to work I've been doing it non-stop until I got lightheaded 😭 Worth it tho Other than that, being able to teach myself the basics of a lot of things within a day (one of the upsides of ADHD), as well as abandoning a lot of my projects after a while because I suddenly decided to start a completely different one (one of the downsides of ADHD) I also have a real talent for writing angst. Ask any of my closer mutuals, I keep terrorizing them with my ideas (love you guys 💖) And finally: telling myself that I'll go to sleep early & then it's 5am

Randomly deciding to take up multiple really time-consuming projects, such as the OM card rec thing I did that I still need to update ahhhh, my Obey Me OC & MC ask game that originally had 200+ questions before I cut it in half out of fear of it being too long, half of my side blogs, and SOOOO many other things. <- or in short, being insane 💚 I also really love cooking & baking! I used to have clownfish and a starfish, but other than that I've never had any myself. I love the dogs I dogsit with all my heart tho, and there is this cat that I sometimes meet on my way to work. She always runs up to me when she sees me and won't stop meowing until I start petting her, and last time she climbed onto my lap (I sat down in the middle of the sidewalk, I did not care lmao), she's literally the sweetest 😭😭 I also ring the doorbell for her whenever it rains so she doesn't have to stay outside lol

1,68m or 5'6 if I got the conversion correct lol

14 - Favourite subject in school?

Heavily depended on the teacher, but generally art class because we usually got to work on whatever we wanted with and listen to music. Also English in 9th grade, math in 10th and German in 11th because the teachers were great

15 - Dream job?

I've been thinking of translations in general/software localizition for a while now. I just love dissecting all the small differences between languages (D.D.D.s being called 'D3' my beloved), + there are so many invisble choices made when translating. You'll always lose something because every language has its little quirks and a different mindset that can't be translated directly, but you'll also gain something that the original version didn't have. It's an art form in itself, and I really love that <3 The other job that keeps popping into my mind is event mangement. I already get to organize a ton of things for my uni since I'm part of the student council for one of my two majors. It's exhausting, but also really rewarding when you have people come up to you afterwards to tell you how much fun they had!

3. Dates would involve a lot of physical activity so if you weren’t physically fit already you would be soon enough. He would ask you to play catch on warm sunny days and the days the you both hang out inside, he would integrate you into his workout routine and make you sit on his back for push ups.

4. Alex would regularly compliment your appearance. He loves telling his girl she looks stunning. “Are those new jeans? They are doing something right ;)”

Alex’s cake would turn out surprisingly good, thus discovering his talent for cooking (thanks to Evelyn’s genetics) and the back up cake would go to the rest of the townspeople. 

8. Alex is really glad that you gets along with Evelyn, especially when it comes to them both cooking together. He loves watching you take part in domestic chores. Not in a sexist way, but it warms his heart watching you bond over something with Evelyn and be all feminine.

9. George on the other hand takes a long time to get used to your presence. He’ll often look like he’s scowling at you but he’s actually just judging and observing whether you are someone who will hurt him and his loved ones. When he sees you being bubbly and genuinely having fun with his family, George will wheel up to your conversations to simply listen. Alex notices this change in George over time and that’s how he knows he found the right girl <3

10. Alex is totally cool with you coming over to his room to just chill and listen to music or whatever while he works out. some things I do that help me feel myself :)

☆PLAY☆

Exercise is a must for me personally! Of course quadrobic are very popular but as a deerkin I heavily enjoy running [we can follow each other on Strava <3] Long walks and hikes in wooded areas are also very nice! Deer in my area live in riparian zones, and I will often take long slow walks by the water at dawn to try and catch a glimpse of them in the mornings. Make sure when doing any of these activities though to have enough water and food at the right times, and bring a friend if you struggle with exercise or mobility. A buddy can not only provide emotional support, but also safety or help in the case of an emergency. Please look out for yourselves !

Participating in martial arts or contact sports can also be helpful for younger bucks looking for a healthy way to get out that August-February aggression. Boxing gyms will usually offer a mix of weight training and sparring, both a great way to channel energy in a healthy way :)

☆SNACK☆

Adding some of the same foods to your diet that deer eat can be both validating and very good for you! As a generalization, most deer will eat a variety of shrub plants, fruits, and nuts or "true nuts." I am in the process of creating a recipe book, but here's a cheat sheet for now.

please note: Some of the foods deer eat are toxic to humans bodies! The most common are Beggars lice [and some other forbs] , Pokeweed, and Blackgum. Of course many deer also consume Fungi, which should always be verified before consumption. When eating anything always double check that you can confidently identify WHAT it is and WHERE it came from.

Not everyone's going to enjoy the salads that come at restaurants. That's okay!! One of my biggest turning points was finding out which plants/veggies I personally enjoyed and learning to make my own salads. This is dependent on personal taste, so its more a process of trial and error but don't be afraid to enjoy the things people tell you not to! Same goes for fruits and nuts. Making your own dried fruit or trail mix is also super fun and yummy when you cater it to your own tastes. You can also bring those last two on your hikes!

If you don't have access to these foods that's okay!! Even eating what you can outside can make one feel more in tune with themselves :)

If you don't have food stability period, please look into any government programs available to you. feeding your body is so so important. I've linked two from my area below that I know to be very helpful from friends testimony, but there are many others.

As crepuscular creatures It's often very healing to be awake and outside for dusk and dawn. For years now I've enjoyed watching the sunrise, but the sunset is also very kind to our hearts. It's up to you. I'm fortunate enough to work the night shift and be up very early for practice so very often I get to see both.

If you have the tools to do so, I'd also recommend very early morning hikes as mentioned earlier. I like to start when it's still dark out, and time it so I reach a resting point as the sun comes up to watch. Night hikes are very enjoyable as well but make sure you bring everything you need, including one or more trusted companions able to help you if needed.

Getting in touch with your local species can make one feel more connected too. Go deer watching if you can! [no, looking in the mirror does not count] Take pictures, draw them, write about what you saw, or just sit back and enjoy the others.

☆DRESS☆

This ones pretty self explanatory. I wear mostly browns, black, and cream, sometimes graphic shirts with the woods or deer on them. I prefer very baggy and sturdy clothing for mobility and coverage when going out in the woods, but that's your choice. For those like me though, I'd recommend work wear. Much of it is in browns and its generally very durable. I get mine second hand, but if you're going somewhere really wooded and thick you might wanna get it newer and less worn in. Also! for those who like to hang out in the riperian zones [I'm looking at you mule deer] some hunting stores will sell water resistant pants and shoes!!

I prefer hard, chunky shoes reminiscent of hooves, usually my Cody James, but again wear what's most comfortable for you, and appropriate for your setting :) [closed toed for hiking, lightweight for swimming, etc...] For my fishhead people, you can also put a line down the front to make them more hoof like as pictured below. I do this to all my converse :P

Something silly but fun to try if you wear makeup and have a lighter skin tone is henna freckles, if you're darker white or cream freckles look really nice too :)

I have no wardrobe solution for the absence of antlers, but I have a shed antler from a white tail with a hole drilled in the base that I sometimes wear tied to a belt loop... sorry bucks.

you helping out dave with his invention? you and dave trying out weird pizza recipes? maybe dave teaching you how to make simple circuits and electronic things. Maybe all Dave needed to make working inventions was another person to audit and check his machine after he had finished them, to fill in the gaps and blind spots that he missed lol.

- you think you're not helping at all and only slowing him down with the mistakes you made, but Dave assures you've been a big help and tells you the things he wouldn't have noticed without you. He suggests dividing the task to something you're good at while he does the other work, and your both work together really well.

I think Dave would enjoy puzzles (unsure if he does in canon) so you and him trying to solve various of those either like puzzle boxes set or completing jigsaw puzzles. Or maybe trying out an escape room together (in the warehouse?).

NINAAAA. you and nina cooking. nina trimming your hair or fixing it up. you and nina trying on clothes and outfits.

🏰 I think he would have really missed his family. Especially because of the fact that he was forced to leave them all when he was so little.

🏰 He can get incredibly homesick to the point of not being able to eat or leave his bed unless he’s eventually forced. He was really close to his mother and siblings, and even if he likes his cousins and aunts and uncles in Oldtown, he misses his real family.

🏰 When he’s not homesick, he can usually be seen partaking in hobbies such as racing horses with his companions in Oldtown, or trying to train Tessarion into doing tricks in the air.

🏰 He likes to take nighttime rides with Tessarion as much as possible. He uses that time to get away from the politics of his family.

🏰 He takes his training rather seriously. He can usually be spotted in the training yard for hours and hours out of the day until he’s told to leave and eat something. Aemond sends him a lot of letters about his training, and Daeron wants to be like his older brother.

🏰 He collects all of the letters that he gets from back at home and saves them all. He likes to read them all after his dinner. He enjoys his mothers neat handwriting, and giggles at Aegon’s scratchy handwriting.

🏰 In his room, he has several different things that Helaena has made for him. Some of them can be hung on the walls and from the ceiling, while others are pillows with little bugs on them that he hugs each night when sleeping.

Modern…

🧺 Daeron had been on the soccer team at his school for years now. He loves the energy of the game, and he also loves to look over to see his whole family shaking signs of embarrassing pictures of him that say “Go Daeron!!!”

🧺 He has a habit of doubting, or comparing himself to others. But Aegon, who’s about to go pro for soccer, will always get him out of his head. It seems that his elder, and shorter, brother always knows what to do when it comes to helping Daeron feel better.

🧺 This is usually through having the twins force Daeron to play with them, playing a game of soccer in the backyard with Aemond and Aegon, or helping Helaena with her new recipe. He also likes to help his mom garden on the weekends.

🧺 Besides soccer, Daeron loves to garden. There’s something about it that he finds to be incredibly calming. And when he gardens with his mom, it’s even better. The two are usually sporting two beat up ball caps, gloves and arms covered in dirt, and smiles on their faces as music streams from the porch.

🧺 Daeron would never be able to decide what his music taste is. His family is full of music lovers, who also happen to have almost completely different styles of music taste. And being the youngest, he was subjected to all of it growing up. His mom likes classic rock, Aegon likes country, Helaena likes pop and sometimes classical, and Aemond to everyone’s surprise likes rap but also classical.

🧺 Daeron enjoys being able to watch the twins when Aegon and Helaena need a break or a night out. He lets them watch all of their favorite movies and have a sugar overload. His mom isn’t to happy about Daeron letting the twins run around the house with chocolate all over them. But she usually just flicks him behind the ear and takes the twins up for a bath.

🧺 While it’s just Daeron and his mom living at home, it doesn’t mean that the house is ever empty. Aemond with usually stay for a couple days sometimes because he doesn’t want to be alone in his apartment, and Aegon and Helaena are over every single day. The twins love the backyard.

🧺 Daeron, through the teasing of his friends, has not been on a date yet. He’s tried, but the idea of being alone with another person that isn’t his family or friend rather scares him. Don’t get him wrong, he loves meeting new people, but it’s difficult to have a dinner with someone when it’s expected that you’ll be romantically involved somehow afterwards.

🧺 He’s obsessed with reality shows and watches them whenever he can.

🧺 His style is rather hectic when the seasons change. When it’s hot out he’s just trying to survive with shorts, shirts, and hats. But when it’s cold he’s bundled up to the max with sweaters and coats that will keep him warm.

1. Are you named after anyone?

Allegedly named after my mom's favorite author, but my first and middle combo was basically the default name for girls in my class growing up. It was her second choice of a name which is disappointing considering her first choice was awesome. Instead I am literally Trendy McTrendName for the year I was born.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I don't really cry unless I have gone through something life altering or am very, very drunk. As such I'm guessing the last time was last St. Patrick's Day, as it likely will be again tomorrow.

3. Do you have kids?

No, never wanted them

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

Competitive swimming was my entire life from elementary school on until I had to dial it back and eventually quit in college (too many injuries). I also did a fair amount of skiiing/snowshoeing/hiking/kayaking/etc growing up. In my 20's I got very into distance running but had to quit in 2019 because of (new and different!) injuries. These days I mostly do running (though less than before) and weights. Since the TikTok brigade took over my gym post-pandemic, I have been trying to somehow build a home gym in my 800 sq ft apartment and at this point I am only a stationary bike away from being free of them forever.

5. Do you use sarcasm?

You could say so, yes

6. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Honestly I am usually trying so hard not to make eye contact with people that I don't see much of anything. I suppose the honest answer is that I can tell if their body language is genuine or fake. Fine! A lot more people should like Atticus, he's the most peaceful, most emotionally mature and charming of my OCs. And he's so handsome!

You know about his very exotic taste in clothing. Weird patterns, flashy and bright colors, Hawaiian shirts, maybe even crocs and mid-calf with all that instead of sneakers! He's a révolutionnaire! But! Did you know! All that is also true for his underwear? He's very lucky boxers and briefs and masc-type undies have such a big market of weird shit. That means his butt could be covered in... watermelon boxers! Or a papaya pattern! Oh, a papaya with sunglasses playing the lute pattern! Trumpets! Croissants!

Since I know you're interested in him, in the biblical sense of the word, let me tell you his favorite type of underwear has a thick waistband - he thinks it's cool when it shows a bit because his pants are hanging juuuuust a little bit low. Since he rarely has genitalia summoned, he switches between undies with and without a jock cup or a fly. He likes elastic materials too, the kind that hug your body snugly - he doesn't have many curves to show off, he just thinks they're comfortable!

Most of everything he does is with music in the background. It's not like he wants to feel like he's in an eternal musical, but having that noise with him helps him stay motivated through the day, he doesn't like silence much. He will sing and dance to it, and he's a silly guy so you know he's not above an impromptu tap dancing break while doing the dishes if the song hits right!

The king of fucked up stuff in the kitchen. He knows how to cook, but if someone asks him for a weird obscenity in a cup or some sort of wacky internet recipe, he's going to do it! It looks fun! And he likes experimenting!

If he were human, I think he'd have longish hair, a soft, wavy mane, shoulder length... And he's fortunate about the volume, or he'd look like a medieval page. He'd keep it in a bun anytime he's doing something active or dirty, like cooking or going out to gather mushrooms, but in any comfortable area or at home leisuring -or if he has a date -, he'd let it fall naturally. Unfortunately, he's a skeleton, so no hair for him. Though he could maybe be wrangled to wear a wig on Halloween, after some convincing.

He doesn't know much about sports. But he's a very cheerful guy, so if someone wants to watch a match of something with him, he'll "yay, sports!" up and try to get into it soooooo very naturally.

Are you named after anyone?

I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. My real name is Anna-Valentina Alexandrovna (The first part is pronounced like Anna from the movie "Frozen" if you're curious). "Alexandrovna" is the patronymic from my father, Alexander, so I suppose technically I'm named after him, but I don't think it really counts because all Russian names are like that. Anya is a diminutive of Anna, although it's my preferred way to be addressed.

Anyway, there's a family rumour that my father named me after his first crush which, if it's true, must've absolutely thrilled my mom. Her name's Yevgenia; Zhenya or Jenny for short.

When was the last time you cried?

I try to cry as little as possible. The last time was quite recently, though. It was a couple of weeks ago, at the airport, just before I boarded the first leg of my flight home. Kolya — you know him as Nikolai. He'd never tolerate that particular diminutive from anyone who's not close to him — came to say goodbye to me. He was trying so hard to be brave, poor thing, but he was crying a little bit and trying desperately to hide it, and that set me off. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

I tend to notice little imperfections; asymmetry in a face, birthmarks, moles, wrinkles, scars... that sort of thing. Those are the things that make faces unique and interesting and beautiful. The little creases between Nikolai's eyebrows, for example? I love those. I'm a professional photographer, and I think I've always had an eye for fascinating physical details.

Scary movies or happy endings?

I'll admit, I enjoy scary movies. Not the ones with senseless, gratuitous violence, but the ones that have the potential to be truly scary. Psychological thrillers and films that are scary enough to make me look over my shoulder for a few days afterward. When we're together, Nikolai watches them with me sometimes, but I know he doesn't like them. When the really scary or messy parts come up, he just wants to be cuddled and doesn't really want to look. I won't lie... I like scary movies for that reason, too. I'm a bit enamoured with the idea of him needing me to protect him from something. He's typically the strong one, or at least that's what he'd like everyone to think, so it's oddly nice when he lets himself be even a little vulnerable with me.

I would say photography, but that's also my job, so probably that doesn't count. My main hobby is painting and drawing. I also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. I absolutely love to dance. I think that could be considered a hobby as well. Oh, and I like to knit.

No, I don't. My job requires a lot of travelling, and it wouldn't be fair to the pet if I constantly had to leave them with someone else while I'm away.

I used to be a competitive figure skater. I also did gymnastics when I was young. One of my favourite sports is skiing, and I also enjoy weight training and yoga.

I'm lucky enough to have my dream job right now. I'm a professional photographer, and I specialize in sports and entertainment. My studio is called Shooting Stars, and I've gotten contracts from all over the world to do shoots for actors, musicians, athletes and performing artists. My photos have been in magazines, on the internet, and in loads of advertising and promotional materials. Between contracts, I actually do have a physical studio in Brindleton Bay, where I do both corporate and private portrait shoots for clients. It's just a little hole-in-the-wall place, but it's mine and I love it. My flat is above the studio, so it's convenient to be so close to my work when I'm at home. I can't possibly imagine anything better. Not everyone can say they're living their dream, but I'm proud to say I am.

Technically my middle name now is after my stuffed rabbit Owen bunny :)

2. When was the last time you cried?

I watched Lord of the Rings (extended edition) the other night and I always cry at Arwen and Aragorns scene on the bridge. So probably then?

3. Do you have kids?

No I don’t have children currently. I have very complex feelings about it all. I love kids, I wish more than anything that I felt like I lived in a world where that was more attainable. But no, no kids for us. Even if I could afford to I am not going to bring them Into this world the way it is.

Plus I already spend my entire life parenting my self and my sister. Oye yeah as I said, complicated feelings.

4. What sports do you play/have played?

I played a ton of sports when I was really young. Soccer, volleyball, basketball, track, cross country, gymnastics, ballet, anything that would keep me at school and not at home. But when you had to start paying more for the sports In middle school, I couldn’t afford it with my babysitting money anymore so I switched to theatre and arts which I also loved. Then I was in color guard and marching band in high school.

5. Do you use sarcasm?

Rarely. I use it in ways I’ve heard others use it, like a mimicking their own language way. But I don’t usually create my own sarcasm unless I’m interacting with someone who uses it a lot on a regular basis and I am trying to interact with them in a way that makes it easier. Like sarcasm as a social coping tool 😅 helps me blend in lol

I just find sarcasm leads me anxiety. I end up worrying about if they understood how I meant something, I’d rather just be straightforward as much as I possibly can be to avoid miscommunication.

6. What is the first thing you notice about people?

Usually how they’re holding themselves; Like I’m trying to do an emotions scan. The next thing I notice is eye contact or lack thereof.

I feel like I just instinctually look for sign of distress or discomfort in people before anything else 😅

English, I always loved reading and escaping to other worlds and learning and meeting all these people and friends! When I started being able to write my own friends and stories that was huge for me.

Then when I was older I really liked analyzing lots of different written works, different worlds and cultures. I just, really enjoy a good story, filled with emotions and meaning.

15. Dream job?

Well fuck, who knows? I always wanted to be a teacher, but the reality of that in this world is very different from how it would need to be for me to be comfortable with that being my daily reality. That is a topic for another time though or we’ll be here all day.

Now my dream job is a place where I can make money and to feel like I am doing work that makes a difference in peoples lives and doesn’t suck my soul out of my body (as much as a job could possibly not do that). The less social interaction, more outside time and more money the better but 🤷

But all things considered my current job is as close as I feel like I will get to a dream job for me in this world. Especially now that I work from home!

How do I deal with this?

I wanna experience eating medium well, medium rare, medium meat and just meat that done only just enough to be brown on the outside? I don’t know, I wanna eat more salads, I once a blue moon can look at just about anything that’s flesh and bone and think about-… eating. Yeah, and I wanna eat a lotta nuts and fruits and some veggies and I wanna shapeshift and swim more, I wanna fly, I wanna try to play sports and sing and dance…

i’m not too well versed in meat cooking levels but please make sure all meat you’re consuming is safe for humans. if you want to try a meat that is too raw for humans to eat safely then i suggest looking into faux meat and similar substitutes, or pet food that is also safe humans to eat. when it comes to cooking your own food, it’s quite easy!! just make sure you find a detailed recipe and start with something with minimal steps. you can also usually trust steaks in restaurants and stuff to be quite yummy if you eat out. when it comes to nuts and fruits and veggies you can usually incorporate all those into a salad (important to note that salad is basically just a tossed bowl of lettuce with some seasoning so always good to add croutons and other veggies to it) but you can also just keep them to snack on. nuts last a very long time so you can keep those around the house basically whenever. for fruits and veggies i recommend storing them (and your lettuce) in the freezer if you don’t use them that often as that can keep them fresh longer. don’t be afraid to get pre chopped stuff as well, especially since they’ll be easier and more convenient to snack on. if you have the ability to you can also buy premade salads that have all of these things as well (and they’re quite yummy!!). also don’t be afraid to break ingredients down one at a time if you don’t have the energy to put them together. (so eating a handful of nuts and a handful of lettuce separately).

swimming can be hard if you don’t have a pool so look into community ones you can go to for cheap, some gyms will also have pools so look into that as well. dancing and singing you can always learn from youtube, sports too!! one a lot of nonhumans tend to be drawn to is quadrobics, which focuses on flexibility as well as core and upper body strength. make sure to look into beginners videos for all of these as well as warmups, both for your voice and body. start slow and you’ll feel yourself getting stronger and more energized day by day. you can also look into to pilates if you need to focus on loosening up your body, like your hip flexibility, or as a way to strengthen your core. you can also look into groups focused on specific sports like dance or basketball and see if you can join (if possible). while flying can be a bit harder, maybe look into gymanastics or parkour or really anything that involves a lot of jumping to keep yourself in the air. the more you train, the more vertical your jump, the longer you’re up in the air!!

for shapeshifting, or shifting in general (like phantom limbs and such) try to make your own!! it doesn’t have to be fancy, you can start making extra limbs out of spare cardboard or towels and blankets. if you have the money you can also order stuff online, but if not there should be some diy tutorials out there. don’t be afraid to break apart stuff you never use anymore for clips or structure :)
