Okay i dont know how in my last post i didnt talk about the part of siren song where benny puts him in the closet with the headphones but it is so autism swag and it really reads like this is not the first time this has happened which i adore, having a friend who knows the drill when youre having an autism moment can be such a lifesaver like some of my friends and I have hand signals and bits of asl we use to communicate when things are too loud or bright or when the verbal thing just isnt on the table and i could see ethan having a system like that with his friends because school is a sensory nightmare especially if youre plagued with visions oh my god that sounds like a sensory nightmare just ebing pulled out of reality to see things and hear noises it makes my skin crawl just thinking asbout it

speaking of visions i know if it was me that would absolutely trigger self destructive stimming/ self injurious behaviors :( and yeah ill project this on to him too I think coming out of a vision would be super stressful and trigger scratching and biting arms, hitting his head with the heel of his hand and his friends are aware of this and try to redirect but its hard sometimes yknow. but in terms of other stimming classic hand flapping, walking on toes, rocking back and forth, pacing in little circles hell yeah that is so fun. Deep pressure! this is the best most calming thing ever, he is a weighted blanked enthusiast and will ask his friends to just crush him, though idk if this hits the same if your friends dont have body heat or heart beats

nonverbal ethan is dear to my heart the words thing is hard, also echolalia like he is jsut going to say the same word over and over or repeat your words back to you so deal with that how you will

also unusual sitting positions i dont have a lot to say about this but he doesnt sit normally he couldnt possibly

I like the idea that Cross realised Killer was touchstarved (he didn't have the words for it but he noticed how much Killer would settle down from it) and started giving him very small basic affection. Pat on the back, hand on the shoulder, maybe a quick friendly hug, all things he probably learned through royal guard training and thinks of as normal friend/coworker stuff.

But as they both got more comfortable in the routine of it, Killer started instigating touches and he was not shy about it (like not just leaning into Cross's side during movie night, he looks like he's trying to get into Cross's jacket with him)

And that this more intense affection made Cross realise he might also be just a little bit touchstarved
