talking about victor being found on the side of the road again except this time ft edward
the fact that the indianapolis gazette talks about victor being found along the side of the road lacking fine motor skills makes me insane.
“The bodies were discovered early Sunday morning, after Creel was found wandering aimlessly along the side of Highway 49, south of Hawkins. Deputy John Snow from Hawkins police department intercepted Creel and made the discovery upon returning him home.”
“Creel at first told authorities that he knew nothing about the things found at his home. He is described as 5 feet 10 (?) inches tall, weighing about 180 (?) pounds with light skin, light brown hair, and ‘appearing unable to perform basic motor functions,’- a condition likely brought on by the psychological consequences of committing the murders, said head psychiatrist at Pennhurst, Alexis McMurry.”
Like cmon, Victor was found missing his memory (as he had no idea what happened at his house), wandering along the side of the road, after being found by Hawkins police, on the south side of town, near the lab. That’s got HNL and Brenner written all over it. And lacking fine motor skills?? Like Terry??
Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if the road Victor was found on was Mirkwood, the same road that Will vanished on, but I need to do more digging for that.
This is also the paper that mentions Edward Creel instead of Henry Creel. Meaning that this Victor may very well not be the same Victor that we saw with Nancy and Robin at Pennhurst, as Edward Creel seems to have his own timeline, a timeline where Victor is 38 instead of 40 in 1959, where Victor’s wife is named Alice and his daughter is named Virginia, where the Creels lived in Hawkins for two years, and where there’s a ton of other differences too.
However, this is interesting to me because in this post, I talked about how we see Victor being arrested at night by state troopers (who were working for the lab in S1 with Will’s vanishing), and how those troopers likely took him to the lab that night and then the lab dumped him on the side of the road to be found by the Hawkins police. But if that’s the case, then that means that this shot:
Is a shot of Edward’s timeline. Which would mean that the guy talking about Victor getting arrested that night:
Is Edward. However, there’s still lots I need to dig through when it comes to sorting out Edward’s timeline vs Henry’s timeline and what happened in each timeline regarding the Creel murders. Both the Indianapolis Gazette (Edward timeline) and the Weekly Watcher (Henry timeline) have different dates for the Creel murders too. Edward’s the one in the timeline where the murders happened on Will’s birthday, which could also tie into Edward being vecna.
There’s also something else that’s been gnawing at me regarding that scene of Victor being arrested, because look at Henry/Edward’s dialogue:
“He” was arrested? It’s almost set up as if it’s a totally different monologue cutting in/as if we’re missing a line of dialogue, because there’s no establishing who “he,” is, Henry/Edward wasn’t talking about his father previously, because this is what he said previously:
And yet, it just suddenly jumps to this wording with “he,” there’s no dialogue between “and it nearly killed me,” and “he was arrested, blamed for the death of my sister and mother,” and that line is also interesting, because he specifically says that Victor was blamed for the death of his sister and mother, but a.) does not name the sister or mother, which is suspicious considering that Edward’s sister and mother have swapped named compared to Henry’s sister and mother and b.) he doesn’t say that Victor was blamed for the death of Henry/Edward, which is odd.
Also jumping back to that last newspaper clipping, I’m staring at the wording of “the things,” at Victor’s home (the bodies) and all of the imagery with The Thing and what I’ve been talking about with Virginia’s eye goo and regenerative healing and goo from The Thing.
There’s just. So much to think about.

WAUGH FINISHED S3 😭😭😭
Season 2 remains best season of MASH to me but two things stood out to me about S3 esp... the Mutual Delight, it seemed like Trapper was constantly looking over at Hawkeye and giggling/Wayne breaking, and there were several episodes that were Thinkers to me...
House Arrest not even your extremely good TrapHawk moments can atone for your sins ❤️ IDK I have a high tolerance for bad 70s sex comedy but this one was just weird tonally, it was supposed to end on comeuppance for Frank but it just felt really weird, especially since Hawkeye was under arrest for sucker punching Frank and Frank was falsely accused... Did make me think about Margaret and her deeply fucky wucky relationships with men in power and wonder if Col Reese's seduction/assault of him is meant to parallel those relationships
God I have so many thoughts on The Consultant I need to marinate on them another day or two but really interesting ep
There was also more conflict between TrapHawk this season albeit p subtle... Little jabs, little bickerings, makes you wonder where the relationship could've gone if they'd had more time *pops on my fic writer hat*
I've long had the vibe that Trapper is one of those guys who doesn't know how to relate to women outside of a sexual context and there were two contrasting moments this season that v much validated that vibe... When he and Margaret get stuck in the supply shed together under shelling and have a charged moment and he makes a move on her, and then in Aid Station Hawkeye has sort of similar moment and Trapper asks "How was she" and Hawkeye is like "C'mon a man and a woman can have completely professional respect for each other" and Trapper goes "Pull the other one" basically... Like seeing those two episodes in close succession definitely contrasted for me
Baby me thought Adam's Ribs was stupid so I was vaguely dreading that episode but it was actually really funny and good so that was a delightful surprise lol
So many good "nasty streak of morality" Trapper moments this season ❤️ his unhesitating support for the prisoner exchange in Rainbow Bridge and his disgust over Iron Guts Kelly's fake death esp stand out to me
OR MY BELOVED HAD BETTER WIN THE BEST MASH EPISODE TOURNEY seriously so so good
Check Up made me 🥹 Although there was an assault joke that literally went over my head until it was pointed out bchcmcn
I love the recurring singing surgeon Spalding jdjfjfj The TrapHawk singalong with him was the highlight of There's nothing like a nurse along with the return of 5 O'Clock Charlie
So many good little moments this season ❤️
Final thought but Henry being praised for his humanity not his command was interesting... He's not necessarily moral but he's very humane, and that did give me Potter comparison thoughts I need to unlock and better articulate kfkfk
As far as deranged timeline endeavor this season had a lot of eps that take place over 1-2 days so only ~2 months pass on screen so insane timeline project is officially viable
God I love MASH

I don’t think FNAF was ever intended to be about cyclical abuse and repeating circles, but I do think that’s the theory that makes the game most enjoyable for me personally. In general FNAF has super lackluster story telling, and I just get so much fun out of viewing it like this, I think a lot of people would too. I also think Matpat convinced everyone that FNAF needs to be a literal, linear, direct story, when in reality I think there’s a lot more gray area, considering the main storyline is about childhood abuse and how that affects someone.
Williams revival and return to the series with every game is pretty cheesy and cheap, sure. People feel like it strips his character of anything scary he had going on, and cheapens the experience. Which I can totally understand. But I also think it’s perfectly in character and fits the story beats. William is shown to be an insanely controlling person, as well as having a think for monitoring people and keeping them under his thumb. We see it with the cameras in CC’s bedroom, or the controlled shocks, or how impatient he’s shown. We are also constantly reminded about how his victims are hurt by this, SPECIFICALLY the Afton kids. Not any of the murder victims, specifically, but the AFTON KIDS, and the Emilys. His entire breakdown as Dave Miller, to springtrap to scraptrap to burntrap is drawn out, sure, but it’s also very reminiscent of the types of wear and psychological trauma abusers get from being, well, abusers. His descent from being a bad person to being truly horrific, rotten and inhuman, and still not stopping can be interpreted as him digging his hole further and further and further. William clearly has some conflict between himself and his actions, he DOES care about his kids, and himself. And he yet still can’t, or more importantly, wont stop.
Vanessa being possessed is a cheap, lazy excuse to have Afton be the villain again. It’s also a quick bandage to try and sloppily clean up Vanessas writing abnd make her seem more split apart and “separate” then she actually was intended to be. But I also think Vanessa is a fascinating case of an abuser trying to not only abuse someone into their ideal victim, but also attempting to re-create old victims. Vanessa and Michaels parallels can’t be ignored, they are basically the same character! It feels like after Michaels death, Aftons trying to recreate another child he can keep under his thumb the same way he did with his son. And Vanessa is the perfect victim. She’s traumatized, she’s lonely, she’s desperate. Cyclical abuse, he repeats his process with her, and chews her up the same way he does with any of his other victims.
The convoluted, the inconsistent timeline, it’s all more fun for me to interpret as a metaphor for an unreliable memory. Trauma fucks with your head, especially dissociative trauma, and FNAF has a heavy focus on identity, and masks, and dissociation from the self. Dates switching around, restaurants switching around, not being able to tell which one is Michael and which one is William, and who’s doing what. It all just slots in so perfectly with all the descriptions of Michael and William being compared, how that’s a major part of all the games, considering that’s why the animatronics are attacking Michael TO BEGIN WITH. The Aftons OOZE inconsistencies and lies, of course they do, how else would William keep everything under wraps? How else would Michael skirt underneath everything? How else would Henry push through, justify Williams actions, just to meet his own goal? Elizabeth lies, and sneaks. Vanessas whole thing is lies. While I know it COULDN’T ALL be done on purpose, I think a lot of people could really benefit from changing how they interact with fnaf!

Your employee trio au is INFECTING MY BRAIN/POS SO SONCE YOUR ASKING TAKE MY QUESTIONS/lh
OKAY SO What is everybody’s dynamics? Like between Vanessa, Henry, and Will how do they all interact with each other n stuff???
Also just tell me anything abt Henry he is my bbg always <3
ALSO ALSO MIMIC??? MIMIC!! I NEED TO HEAR ABOUT THIS ANYTHING ABT THE MIMIC IN THIS (if that’s okay ofc!!)
Also also also are the afton Kids important at all? Are they just minding their own business meanwhile everything else is going to shit
Sorry for the mini-onslaught of questions your au’s all infect my brain!!! If I didn’t get more information I would explode!!!/j Anyway yeah have a good day!!!!!!!!
RAAAAAAAH IM SO HAPPY U LIKE IT!!!! GRAAAAHHH
William killed kids first and Henry made the mimic and the mimic started killing ppl (more on that in a sec) so William managed to rope him into the killing and got him to build the funtimes and Henry became interested in remnant (tho he'd never admit it) and when he threatened to kill william himself william told him shed jsut have vanessa kill charlie and ofc if william died ness would be OUT OF THERE but henry doesnt know that so he lets william go. (also vaneassa does NOT trust henry so she doesnt want william to die. shes convinced henry is jsut as bad as william but doesn't need her the way william does
they all hate each other but william and henry also used to kiss sometimes. they are horrible for each other. vanessa just wants them to kiss again so she doesnt have to constantly pry them apart.
basically after henry makes the funtimes and theres a lil accident (cough elizabeth cough) william starts hating him more because he didnt implement things the way william asked. the claw was not supposed to kill the kid, but rather stuff em in the robots stomach hatch so william could kill them and put them somewhere else (he didnt want the funtimes to be possessed bc that causes problems. he knew how possession worked by now and he did not want it happening to the murder bots) but the claw was fucked up and killed elizabeth in the stomach hatch
but now cbby is possessed, cassidy is finally coming around, michael is suspicious of william, and luis is dead. rip luis ig.
sammy charlie and michael are th emost important kids in this! they investigate the murders and stuff because michael "finds it interesting" (knows his dad is doing it and wants to get him caught) which ends... badly. for charlie specifically.
so henrys PISSED AS FUCK because williams STUPID FUCKING DOG (vanny) jsut FUCKING KILLED HIS DAUGHTER and he is SOOOO PISSED but he cant kill william bc again this trio is incredibly dependent on one another to stay out of jail
ALSO MIMIC MIMIC MIMIC OAKY SO! Henry built the mimic. the mimic saw william kill a kid and then followed him adn saw vanessa kill her dad and was like OH! NEAT! and then ofc william put it to use as an endo ripper and it ended up way more violent than it was supposed to be and also way smarter. whoops.
so now they have WAAAY MORE DEATHS THAN INTENDED, WILLIAMS RESEARCH IS FUCKED, AND MICHAEL KNOWS 100% THAT WILLIAM IS BEHIND IT AND TECHNICALLY HAS PROOF TO INCARCERATE HIM. but william is a smart guy. michael is close with sammy and evan (he became kind of paranoid after liz and charlie died and didnt want evan to die too bc then hes all alone with his dad and for michael that is fucking terrifying so hes not NICE per se but he wont hurt evan or put him in danger and is protective of both of them)
so basically the timeline goes
william kills kids -> sees vanessa kill her dad -> the mimic starts going batshit -> henry gets roped into this shit and makes the funtimes -> liz dies -> charlie dies -> mimic is free and causing horrible mayhem -> everything is on fire -> the end (except not its a work in progress)

the more i think about it, the less i think i want Will to have any powers at all...
like, just thinking about it in relation to his character, and also to El's, and to Vecna/Henward and the story as a whole... i find it harder and harder to place Will having powers into it?
like... he is an extremely non-violent character, and while his powers don't necessarily have to be like that of El or Henry which involve violence sometimes, i just... have trouble imagining what else they could take the form of. (which is just on me more than anything, but still.) the only thing i can really think of that would make everything come full circle is "casting" a protection "spell" like he almost did in season 1 in their campaign. but imo that wouldn't even require him to have any real "powers."
i'm just a total sucker for "he uses his sense of love, kindness, and understanding to save the day." like he doesn't use any sort of magical/psychic powers, but his steadfast love protects him and his friends from harm; they create an "armor" that Vecna can't break through. (kind of like It, how the Losers weaken It by basically laughing in its face and not letting the fear take over. i'm in the middle of reading It rn so i don't remember exactly how it all works lmao sorry)
and again to go back to his non-violent nature, he's a smart kid. he doesn't need brawn to fight back. he can run, he can hide, he can outsmart the bad guy.
and that leads me into how this relates to El and Vecna: i feel like it would be fitting for both of them to learn they're not "superior" just because they have their abilities. like, for the sake of El, she doesn't need to have powers to be powerful, to be a "superhero" if she wants to be one from time to time, she can just be herself, and that alone makes her worthy of love and praise. and Vecna doesn't belong on his high horse just because he has these powers; they don't make him better than anyone else. and he needs to understand that he is just like everyone else, and someone simply holding out a helping hand is all he needs. and i feel like Will should be that person. Vecna's true opponent isn't someone who's on his level, like El, imo. his true opponent and the one who will really change him is someone who is simply kind to him.
and isn't that what the whole story is about? about being kind to each other and accepting each other, no matter the differences or the grievances? people do bad things sometimes, but it's always better to try and understand them rather than simply condemning them to death. life is messy, we're all human, we make mistakes, and we simply have to learn to grow from them.
now, I’ve seen plenty of "Will with powers" theories and the ideas of what they might be, and I’m not opposed to it at all, bc I trust they’ll be handled in a way that’s good both for him and for the story. earlier i even mentioned the "outsmarting the bad guy" discussion that he and Joyce have in season 1, and he says there that he needs the fireballs because sometimes the bad guys are smart, too. cool! maybe Will has some sort of power involving light and fire, which would work thematically with the interactions with the lights (maybe Will was the the one who made that happen and it isn't something default to the UD) and the constant connections between Will and sunlight.
but again... does that mean he has to have actual powers? or is Will, himself, the "light"? is Will and his kind nature all that they need to break through to Henry and Edward? we've already been shown that physical violence will not work against Vecna. he was turned into a flaming slice of swiss cheese and he still got up and walked away. we’ve even been shown that he can’t be defeated by psychic abilities, since the main timeline(s) we see don’t result in his actual death in HNL, so why would Will need psychic abilities to defeat him?
idk i just... think it's interesting and i'm curious to see where it goes. because while it could and would make sense for him to have powers of some kind, i feel like it would also be extremely satisfying if his "power" was simply being himself: a kind, sensitive, and simple boy who just wants to find love and happiness. like, if his arc is about learning he's allowed to want love, and he's deserving of love, then why not have him extend that to Vecna?
in short, i think a lot of my thoughts and questions about it boils down to: what does it bring to the story as a whole? what makes it necessary that he have powers like El and Henry? what kind of message does it send to the audience? what is the purpose?
#ramble ramble ramble idk if I’m making any sense!!!#ive just been thinking about this a lot lately and had to put my thoughts out into words#i say things#will byers#stranger things#watch me come back and edit this 5000 times throughout the day as i remember more things that change my opinion#bc that always fucking happens lmao#also thinking about hxh ‘gon. you are light. sometimes it’s so bright I have to look away’

I'm not sure when we get the inspiration board for Stranger Things 5, but I have an opinion (relating to Will's powers) that American Horror Story: Apocalypse would serve as a good addition with the character Mallory.
I'm always flip-flopping between what kind of powers Will has. I have been thinking for a while that if he does have time-related powers, him having cleric healing abilities is still achievable through him rewinding time and reversing a person's injuries/dead-ness.
Then today I realized - Mallory in AHS: A does the same thing! (I am aware this season of AHS was released after ST)
In AHS Apocalypse, it is revealed that Mallory is actually a very gifted witch who can manipulate time. The current witches in charge wanted her to become the next Supreme (basically the big witch in charge). But, her memories were (temporarily) erased and she was hidden to be kept safe from Michael Langon - he's basically demon spawn who wanted to be Supreme and she is a threat to him.
When it is revealed to the audience who Mallory actually is (as she was also kept a secret from the audience until the end), we are told and shown that she can use her powers to manipulate time. She even uses her powers to reverse the injuries on a dead deer and bring it back to life. It's on YouTube here if you want to watch it.
I think Will's powers will work like Mallory's, and I think he has already used his powers before to revive/heal a rabbit (see here for my explanation).
More on Mallory's time-related powers (she has a lot of different kinds of magical abilities) and how they can relate to Stranger Things:
With her powers, she is able to create new timelines. I'm looking at all the multiple timeline theories here and the season 5 time travel possibilities.
She heals by reversing injuries or even reversing the cause of death (disagree if you want, but Mike is 100% dying in season 5 and Will is the one bringing him back by doing what Mallory does).
The power of resurgence will have to do with Max in season 5. Her soul is lost and needs to be brought back to her body, but it makes more sense for El to be the one to do this (although with Max's soul being lost to Henry, and Will having his connection to Henry, I feel like Will might be the one to find Max in Henry's world and then El brings her back).

Please read l'espirit de l'escalier by catherynne m. valente. It’s basically “died and came back wrong” with modern day Eurydice and Orpheus. I read it and couldn’t help myself but want to apply it to mc/the demon bros
TW for graphic descriptions of death, decay, and a reanimated corpse, tho
I finally got around to reading this one anon and I love it so much. Just - people are not meant to return from the dead. Perhaps MC was not dead for long. Perhaps their soul, caught by Lilith, did not fully pass on to wherever it was meant to go.
Their body, the one they inhabit now, the one they dropped into, kicking out the soul of its original inhabitant - this body has never been dead. The heart has never once stopped beating, the mind never lost the impulses that sparked between each neuron.
There were two copies of the same person in this timeline, for a little less than 30 minutes. One lost their body, one lost their soul, and now they are one.
There is no reason for this body to decay, but the soul - sometimes, the soul forgets that it is alive. Forgets that it has a body it needs to nourish.
In the lounge room Asmo must shake their shoulder, remind them to breathe. The instinct disappears, sometimes. The movement of the lungs becomes a manual process. He tries not to panic, in these moments. Asmo likes to have their concern and sympathy on him, but their eyes are distant and he must wait for their love and care to return.
Mammon holds them as they sleep, head rested against their chest to listen. In the dead of night, he sits up and pumps his hands against cooling flesh, count of 30, checks their breath. The nerves that once controlled the heart's beat forget, when his human is deep asleep. He must do it for them.
Beel has the relatively easy task of reminding them they must eat. It is a task well-suited for him and, in truth, the only one his brothers want to allow him to take. Beel, they know now, has always shouldered far too much of the burden when it comes to guilt and grief. It is better that he simply adapts to their change in taste, providing them with meat served bloody rare.
Satan does not generally flaunt his position as an elder brother, but he does feel protective of the twins and Asmo at times. He shields them from just how much more vulnerable their human has become. Little wounds, even paper cuts, do not close. The bleeding is slow but it does not stop. All the magical strength of the fourth born is focused on their healing, yet it feels like a bandaid. Satan swears that if he looks closely, he can still see all those little wounds. He keeps healing them anyway.
Levi was a general, is an admiral. He can think ahead, and as soon as he notices these little problems cropping up, he strategises. He has blood thinners for the days their heart is working too hard to move blood that is sluggish, slow, pools in their legs and feet. He stocks his room with vitamins, orders a sun lamp, gifts them with warm Ruri-chan socks and sweaters for when they can only feel the cold. He does this with all the care and boredom that comes with ordering Henry 2.0's food and cleaning his tank.
Lucifer cannot hide everything from his brothers, but he does try to take on the most brutal of the work.
He slices through skin that does not bleed as vividly as it should. Satan takes care of the surface - Lucifer takes care of what's inside. He banishes any rot that sets in their lungs. Pinches and fixes any veins - or, his father forbid, arteries - that have split. Ensures each organ is in its place. Sews them back together good as new. They never thank him. He doesn't ask them to.
And Belphegor - what can he do? Whenever he approaches, their skin cools, their breathing slows, their heart skip-skip-stops. The greatest miracle any of them have ever seen, and he cannot even touch it without it breaking.
Souls were not meant to return. The price for a miracle never stops being paid.
#asks#anon#obey me#obey me mc#death tw#body horror cw#undead mc#to clarify - my opinion is that mc died#their soul was shoved into the body of timeline 2's mc#and timeline 1 mc's body disappeared#hence the two versions are combined

Ahoy, Crewmateys!
And welcome to the Dead Men's Tales (DMT) fanfiction hub.
Info:
Fic tone works to mirror the Henry Stickmin games: goofy, sincere, and emotional when deserved. Expect to laugh and also to hurt a little.
Basic knowledge of Completing the Mission is required, knowing the bio lore is recommended.
No lewd themes, though a small amount of cursing and some graphic harm/death.
The chapter drops themselves will be spoilered, but be warned: if you scroll the blog, you'll DEFINITELY see spoilers.
If the chapters get buried, find them in the TOC section of this post or at #dmt full
This is an ongoing project and I might make revisions. If a revision is important enough, I'll make an info post about it.
Chapter drops are not standardized because I have a gig based work schedule, but I'll try not to leave you hanging. Expect at least 3 days between chapter drops.
My concept artist and beta reader is teknamy on tiktok! All art, unless otherwise stated, is credited to him. He would like to ask that you not be gross about his art. No, he will not draw the stick guys making love.
Have fun!

OUAT Thoughts Pt.31--Episodes 20-21
I have watched through S3E21; spoilers DNI. Also, spoiler warning for anyone further behind than I am.
—Every time people are happy in this show, things get worse. Last time everyone was happy, Peter Pan almost wiped out the entire town. This time, there are time shenanigans. When will we reach the lowest possible badness level and have nowhere to go but up?
—This show feels like it was written by the most top-tier fanficcers. It’s an exquisite piece of art, and despite the sheer beauty and intelligence of its story and characters, it doesn’t shy away from utilizing the plot devices and tropes that are common in fanfiction. Which, by the way, is simply a form of media that goes to show how many genius writers exist in the world, and how certain concepts are naturally appealing to a large majority of the population.
—The streaks of grey in Rumple’s hair are quite fetching.
—Maybe Granny should join the Merry Men. She already has the crossbow.
—Yay, Dr. Hopper crumbs! I’m glad he got to have a conversation with Henry, because he has been rather important in Henry’s life, and it would be a shame to not include a scene like that when it fits in so easily. Also, sweater vest!
—It’s very selfish of Emma to still want to take Henry back to New York. Now he remembers he has extended family in Storybrooke, not to mention a whole other mom. And it’s not fair to them, especially Regina, either. Seriously, for a hero, Emma’s being about 0% empathetic right now. She hasn’t even considered Regina’s feelings about it. Also, Henry has spent all but one years of his life in Storybrooke, so for him that is home. Emma is just not being considerate of anyone right now.
—Of course Dorothy was disappointing.
—I do kind of appreciate the way the good witches were talking about the Wizard. If he had gotten a chance to actually be a devious trickster, he might’ve been kinda cool.
—Regina putting the pendant in her vault is so stupid. That’s basically the first place a badguy goes if they’re looking for magic. It’s the opposite of secure.
—I’m not disappointed in Rumple for killing Zelena. Frankly, she had it coming. And it would be pretty ooc for him to not exact vengeance, even if he’s a semi-changed man. There is, after all, a difference between natural growth and bad characterization, and after Bae was the center of his machinations for centuries not avenging Bae’s death would be the latter.
—I am kinda disappointed that he’s lying to Belle, especially now that they’re engaged. That’s going to come back and bite him in the ass eventually.
—Emma looks extra pretty in the fairytale clothes. Honestly, find me someone who doesn’t, because cloaks and blouses and fancy jackets with gold buttons are just lovely.
—The timeline is going to be so messed up by the time Hook and Emma get home. Everybody’s going to end up with like three heads or something.
—Seeing Charming and Abigail’s interactions with each other is fun now that I know Abigail isn’t happy with their arrangement either. Before, she came off as a spoiled princess. Now she reads as being equally unhappy as Charming is. And he’s doing his best, but when it comes to Abigail he’s hardly an attentive fiancé (which again, is understandable) so her reactions are quite understandable.
—Emma introducing herself as Princess Leia is hilarious. Who wouldn’t pick that as a codename?
—The book turning blank because Emma messed with her parents’ relationship is terrible.
—It’s pretty cool that Emma got a chance to experience the life her parents wanted for her. I think she actually would’ve been a decent princess, if she’d gotten to live in the Enchanted Forest. Though, her dress wasn’t quite as elaborate as some of the others; seeing her in a full-on princess getup would’ve been fun.
—I gotta love Rumple sending people off in style. Charming needs to rescue Snow from a sleeping curse? Not in that outfit, buddy. Emma and Hook need to encourage Snow to steal from Charming? Royalty don’t dress like that, dearies. He’s so frickin extra.
—Regina using light magic was awesome. I enjoy that she gets to illustrate how neither good nor evil is entirely inborn.
—You know, I’d still love a holiday episode where absolutely nothing important happens and nobody is in danger of dying. Maybe split between Christmas and Thanksgiving; we start at Christmas, with everybody already acting annoyed at each other, and over the course of the episode flash back to Thanksgiving to find out what caused it. Of course they’re all fighting over something stupid, because it’s a holiday.
—I’m quite relieved we didn’t go far enough back in time for Emma to literally become her own great-great-great-grandmother. Although, she is messing with her parents and drastically lowering the chances that she was ever born, so…kind of a lateral move.

if you could give 3 positive and 3 negative personality traits to each of the next gen, what would they be?
ooh love it. okay. we know i talk a lot. A Lot. i’m doing this in waves. first set of siblings under the cut (wcm). 2.9k. ily!
wyatt i think it’s say kind bc like. he genuinely tries really hard to be a nice person. considerate which is kind of the same as kind but again he like. he knows the elders almost killed him as a little kid he knows there’s a world where he does go dark side and that does weigh on him, so he tries to put other’s feelings first as much as possible. and then third positive trait ummmm generous which again is kinda all in the same category but it’s like. like wyatt is insanely talented not just like as a witch tho he’s that too he’s also like really smart but he’s not a dick about it he’s one of those kids who’s always like i’ll help u with your homework! what r u doing after school later! like. he has a wealth of knowledge and he doesn’t just sit on it he likes to share. this is one of the reasons henry jr is also so close with wyatt because like. they both share this genuine love and interest in the study of like old magicks so to speak like. histories of witches and demons etc most classes the rest of the next gen honestly find kinda boring. on the flipside his negative traits would be like um a tendency to play by the book he’s a little too strict not because he necessarily believes in it but more again he wants to stay in line so as not to get you know. murdered or w/e. another negative trait is a i would say wyatt gets like way too overattached, especially in relationships, but it’s not limited to that. yes he’s a jump then fall guy & i’ve written about this before (multiple times), but i also think it’s the same with like innocents. like the fact of the matter is is that you literally cannot save anyone but wyatt has never and will never learn to accept that and i think he gets. he takes it real hard whenever he loses somebody and gets really pissy and closed off in the aftermath. a third negative trait is like. overprotective. like. in my writings he’s not the twice blessed anymore but he’s still wicked powerful, and he’s also like. the eldest. so he kind of feels this burden to protect his family. it doesn’t help that throughout their youth like chris ever the demon hunter always sought out trouble and leo who Really Didn’t Want To Watch Chris Die Again kind of always passed on whatever the mission was to wyatt. which, yeah, gave chris issues, but it also gave wyatt issues! because in his head, it really is his responsibility to handle these things for his family. and, yes, sometimes he can relinquish this power a little bit like not actively hover over his family while they’re demon hunting, but if he’s not you know. actively there, he’s either scrying or he’s sensing (if he can do that idk) and just. he’s got this feeling that anything bad that happens to his family is his fault. like he has this great power, so if someone gets hurt, like, he should have been there because he definitely could have stopped it. however, this energy kinda harshes everyone else’s buzz, which is why the other tend not to involve wyatt in their plotlines too much.
moving on to chris who just for the record i already wrote for but thanks to the beauty of this site i accidentally clicked the wrong button & now it's gone. so. take two! i don't remember what i said. okay so first trait i'm giving him is. i honest to god cannot remember what i said previously no wait that's a lie because i remember now because it was interesting. because i think chris is interesting, and i think that's a good thing. because like. i wouldn't describe him as likeable i would not say he has the personality trait of Likable™ because like. he doesn't. but people still really like him. because he is interesting. like they see him and go huh wow i wanna know what's going on there all in all i think people kinda gravitate towards him. but of course flipside i think he doesn't necessarily choose to become friends with everyone who approaches him i think he tends to be a bit picky just because you know he's so guarded so i think he has friends but no like. really super close friends. so like first negative trait is he kinda appears aloof because i mean. he's kinda gotta lotta issues you know and it's not something you can really easily explain to someone non-magical because magic is so deeply ingrained into who he is (which also adds to the aloofness because there are just certain topics he'll drop certain things he just won't talk about and its not because he doesn't care or anything it's just like. that's a really big reveal and rather that spin some elaborate web of lies i think chris just like straight up does the i can't tell you that bit, which makes him seem you know well like aloof kinda a little bit dickish). and then of course there's also like. like a lot of vulnerability involved in understanding who chris is he really doesn't have any middle layers nothing that sits between the surface mortal chris and the charmed chris with an inferiority complex it's either you know it all or you know. he just seems aloof. but again like. i think he's interesting. so much so that a lot of people are just kinda willing to look past that. so like. a lot of just external relationships. surface level. & then another defining trait of his on the positive side is clever. because like. he's smart. like i think he's a really skilled witch i think he's an excellent spellcaster and then like. i also think he can do math and stuff (in my fic he is a coder so like. yeah.) but i think it's kind of beyond just like Oh He's Smart i think it's the way he applies his brains applies his knowledge that really kind of sets him apart from the rest i think he really is clever. and then third positive i think chris is resourceful. i think like. i think he likes to have a sense of indepence away from his family because like. i mean he is a halliwell and he doesn’t shy away from that but at the same time he doesn’t really want to like. lean on that rest on well the thing is it’s not even his laurels to rest on. he wants to have this sense of independence and he’s actually p good at getting it. like i having him living on his own (so 2 speak, he has like. 4 roommates? i’m p sure) and yeah he’s not super great at it from just like. a living perspective you know but he’s making it i think like paying his own rent all that and yeah like the food he eats isn’t great and his room is kind of always a disaster but like. he’s made it p far i think a lot farther than people thought he could no disrespect. so i think he's really able to take what lifes gives him and make the most out of it i don't think he likes to coast by on others' accomplishments. which kinda segues into the second negative trait which i think you probably could guess he's overly-independent like independent to a fault. because like. i think he really wants to define himself with kinda comes in a two-fold way because like. okay in-family he wants to. okay so like obvi, there's a major drop off in power between him and wyatt. and i think he's always kinda been insecure about it think what on earth caused such a cosmic fuck up that he's just a telekinetic and then his brother is like. a baby god. so i think chris really feels this need to prove himself worth of a place in the warren line like cement his skills as and really say you know i deserve this title. and then flipside!! he really doesn't want to rely on titles you know he doesn't want respect because he's a charmed one or because he's a halliwell he wants respect off his own merits he wants people to know him by his actions not the legacy he carries. (also maybe gives reason for chris to occasionally use the name chris perry in the altered timeline??) and then. kind of building off that negative trait for his third one i'm saying listless because like. i think the crucial difference between the chris from the dark timeline and chris from the light timeline is like. darktl!chris has always had purpose. like yes it's a shitty purpose it's a burden it's too much to place on one boy but he is the last halliwell you know it's like basically all on him to stop wyatt from you know annihilating the world. (someone should probably tell him the cupitches exist in the dark future lmao) you know from like very very early on in his life darktl!chris has known he's destined for something big and honestly he might fail but he's gotta give it the ole college try because this is the world on his shoulders he's gotta put up a good fight for it. lighttl!chris literally does not have that. he does not have some grand, epic purpose, some monumental destiny to fulfill and like. what is he supposed to do, you know? why is he here? and he feels like he should have some epic destiny hmm well no not exactly he wants some epic destiny but he feels like if there were some epic destiny to be had it'd probably pass over him in favor for something better just like everything else in his life does. like why is he here? literally why is he here i mean okay so like disclaimer is that chris in my story is like. 20/21 and um. also a college dropout lmao haha and like. call a spade a spade we're probz looking at some undiagnosed depression here like give him a zoloft he'll be fine but like. chris feels like he's kinda on a raft in the middle of open ocean in a sense like. the best option is to pick a direction and paddle and hope he reaches land but he's literally in open ocean there are no markers no indicators he doesn't know where to go and like. if he picks wrong he's just heading closer and closer to nothing at all emptiness death whatever And There's No Way To Know Which Way Is Towards Land. and if he fucks up, like, he's screwed. shout out to all my early twenty-somethings. woot woot. but yeah. i think chris really wants a sense of purpose that simply put he does not have and honestly? will not be getting. i am not giving him a prophecy. i am not giving him a destiny. he will have to live with that. and, at this point in his life, i think he's doing a p bad job at that. lmao.
melinda!! baby girl. angel. honestly? i'm going to give her kind too because i think a large part of her just really wants to help people. i've previously called her the most-whitelightery of the next gen, & then also she is currently going to school with designs to become a nurse because like. she's also an empath you know and i think she definitely has aspirations to kind of mix her magical and mortal sides find a balance of both worlds and use her magic powers to enhance how she can better care for people in a mortal way. i'd also say she's really understanding. like, she's the third sibling to the wyatt-chris duo And she's an empath like. even if she doesn't get it, she gets it. like. things are complicated relationships are complicated like she can literally feel all sides of the story whenever there's a wyatt-chris-leo argument and like. what? is only one of them right? is only one of them allowed to feel the way they feel? no. she gets it. she all kinda understands where they're coming from. she understands. and then third positive trait she's really loving. like she's not a person who's stingy with her love (in a platonic sense. i think it a romantic sense it gets a lot more complicated because like. as an empath on the first date well it's just too weird man and it's. it's not like she can't keep her feelings sorted it's just like knowing exactly how they feel about her….. like it's weird. pass.) but i think she really like. i think she loves her family i think she loves her friends like. ❤. wow. on the more negative side i think she kind of like. self sacrificial. like she'll goes to the ends of the earth for the people she loves before she ever stops to think about herself. she doesn't. like she won't self advocate she won't draw a line in the sand when it comes to the ones she loves she fails to um. to see how sometimes her needs might actually be more important that others like. like if she loves you she will walk until her feet bleed. like. you have to be real careful because like. if you ask her to do something like she'll do it you can tack on that "but it's fine if no you don't have to" because if she feels your need to have this task done she'll do it. it's for love. but it's not good. (she will also extend this to non-loved ones again if she feels their need their like desperate need because at the end of the day she's a giver. hey kinda like the giving tree. i think she loves that book.) i also think she's just a shade naive and i kind of hesitate to use that word because like. i feel like it implies kind of a lack of worldly experience and like. melinda has seen a lot. but i think she like really does kind of see the world through rose colored glass i think she believes that people are intrinsically good and want to help each other and um. this can kinda tee her up for a lot of heartbreak and/or disillusionment with the world when kinda the reality is placed there right before her and it just kind of blows. i think it kind of hurts fresh every time. and then a third and final negative trait i think she like takes on too much, from an emotional standpoint, and doesn't really give anything back. kinda the same as self-sacrificial, but like with a twist. like, yes, as established, she has a lot of love in her heart, and she will take on her friend's emotional burdens (as well as any other burdens they might have for her) but then kinda gives nothing in return. she's a bit guarded in a sense. because again. this all comes back to the empath thing. kind of build on the dating thing. you really get live feedback on what exactly they think about you when you unpack, and like. melinda can't take that. she's too in her head on how this directly impacts their view of her and then she's just reading them and not focusing on her own problems you know like. like ladies if you've ever hit like. 1:30 in the morning at a slumber party when shit starts going from hehehe chetoh doost lasdkajldf to like. i don't think i could ever reasonably get married because divorce has really been the only constant in my life and i genuinely don't think i could trust another person enough to tie myself to them legally.? that's melinda's mcfuckin time to shine i think she does play therapist/peacemaker like a lot she likes it because again. she likes helping people! especially the people she loves!! but um. she'll never partake the other direction she really doesn't like getting vulnerable herself because like. you know if your friends are lying to you like you say something really personal and then cap it off with a y'know? and they all go yeah totally but you can feel them going what,,, the fuck. no?? like. like melinda could not take that it has not happened to her yet (probably) but she's come up with the hypothetical and she could not take that. this doesn't really extend to family just because she knows them so long like oh what chris thinks she's lame? okay. wyatt thinks she's overreacting? yeah i know what i've seen buddyboy. & then. for the record. neither or her brothers would never think she is lame or overreacting even If melinda is being lame or overreacting because they just like wouldn't they know her too well. but melinda's def the person who comes up with worst case hypotheticals in regards to her relationship/empathy powers like. all the time.
#i'm lying it's not actually 2.9k it's only 2889 but like. like. :| : )!!#charmed#next gen#charmed next generation#wyatt halliwell#chris halliwell#melinda halliwell#margaretsminiessays#💌

So this is kind of like a part 2 to this post I made earlier. This is just a quick overview of Talons, not super duper detailed
Talons
What is a Talon?
So this question can get a little weird when trying to determine what context it’s in, but basically, they are highly trained/super-human/mutant assassins that work for the Court of Owls. “Work for” is a general statement, as most were originally kidnapped children inducted into the Court that were then raised to be loyal and carry out the Court’s wishes, so enslaved assassins is a better term for description. When referring to a singular assassin, you can say “A Talon” or “The Talon”, or just call them by their actual name if provided. But, when referring to the league/group of them all, it’s typically just “Talons” or “The Talons”
Going back to the whole kidnapped and enslaved as a child part, Talons are typically given an electrum infusion that gives them superhuman abilities, such as super-human strength, immortal like healing abilities and endurance. DC never specifically says who they are trained by, but it can be assumed that the Court hires or teaches the Talons themselves, and then past Talons can teach later/newer Talons. Their specific abilites that don't fall under the electrum infusion powers are unique to the Talon in question themselves, as some, like Calvin Rose, were known for their ability to escape virtually any trap or enclosure they were palced in.
How is a Talon made?
Talons are given a serum infused with the mystical element electrum (which is a chemical compound that can reanimate dead tissue and heal living tissue over and over again; it is fueled by body heat), granting them superhuman endurance, strength and speed. Their abilities, however, begin to fade if they’re cut off from their regular electrum infusions, which means the Court must be strategic in their usage, as the element is rare and expensive.
Something you may not know is that many of the Talons, unfortunately, are provided by Haly’s Circus. In the New 52, Haly’s is revealed to be an operation run by the Court of Owls and its purpose was to raise or find youth to be an assassin for the Court. Some of the Talons that resulted from Haly’s Circus include: Mary Turner, William Cobb, and Calvin Rose. It’s been speculated that the death of Dick Grayson’s parents was orchestrated by the Court so they could easily take the child without anyone really noticing. Had it not been for Bruce Wayne taking in Dick, Dick would have most likely become a Talon and followed in his great-grandfather's footsteps.
What is a Talon like?
Talon’s are almost immune to pain, have super healing, endurance, strength, and speed and can be preserved to be resurrected from death. They are excellent marksmen that work with blades, but the ability can be applied to other objects. Their only known weaknesses are cold temperatures (slowing the regeneration process) or severe death, meaning total decapitation with the head being removed away from the body, or injuries severe enough for healing to be impossible. In order to take the main position of Talon, the chosen Talon must best the previous in a battle. The former Head Talon will then be killed (if they weren’t already), and will either be preserved for later usage or disposed of. They are essentially immortal assassins, relentless with pursuing their targets/given missions. The former main and defeated Talon must fight in order to keep their mantle after being deemed unfit by the Court.
Because of the electrum infusion and insane healing abilities, Talons can recover and continue fighting even after being dealt a deadly blow. This also comes as a double edged sword as they can be kept alive for hundreds of years and continue working for as long as the Court needs them to. What makes them lethal isn’t their fighting capability (which is still extremely deadly) but the fact that they can continue fighting without the hindrance of pain or an injury to stop them.
Misconceptions about Talons
Often in fanon or fanfiction, Talons are depicted as these robotic like beings that have no real thoughts or emotions. However, this is untrue. They are capable of personal thought and feeling, but have unwavering loyalty to the Court, putting their mission first and having unquestionable faith in their Court. This loyalty comes from being raised and reared by the Court, as many of them are kidnapped from a young age and raised to serve the Court. This lifestyle is all they know, and outside of missions, they have not been exposed to anything else their entire lives.
Additionally, not all Talons have been men. Mary Turner was a Talon, her first appearance being in Batgirl #9 2012 and was offered a position with the Birds of Prey after escaping the Court during a mission/transportation gone wrong.
Who has been a Talon?
One of the more famous and most used Talons is William Cobb, AKA the great-grandfather of Dick Grayson. As of right now, William Cobb is considered the Head Talon, or The Talon when Talons are thought of. However, William Cobb was not supposed to be the Head Talon initially. It was another man named Alton Carver, who was one of the best Talons, but the Court of Owls felt that Carver had become sloppy in his kills and missions and threatened to replace him with his successor (which would mean death for Carver). During this time period, it is revealed that Dick Grayson is to be Carver’s successor; at this moment, Dick is still a child performing with Haly’s Circus. Seeing Dick’s olympic level abilities at such a young age without the help of any enhancements (like electrum) first hand, Carver realizes that Dick would eventually outmatch him. Carver weighs the thought of killing Dick then and there, but debates too long on the subject and is spotted and pursued by Batman (nothing really results in this chase however, and Carver gets away). The Court, seeing how Carver had disobeyed their orders, retires him and only re-awakens him for the attack on Gotham City. This is when William Cobb takes over as the prime Talon.
Here is a quick timeline of all the Talons that we know of:
1600s: Uriah Bone, the oldest surviving Talon of the Court of Owls
1666: Ephriam Newhouse
1840s: Henry Ballard
1850s: Alexander Staunton
1940s: Mary Turner, joined Bird of Prey
1950s: Alton Carver
1980s: Xiao Loong
1990s: William Cobb, great-grandfather of Dick Grayson and considered to be the most formidable Talon the Court of Owls has ever produced
Current Talon: Calvin Rose, the only Talon ever to escape from the Court maze
There are many other facts/specific features that I've left out for the sake of keeping this post to the point, so feel free to add what you know. Maybe later, I'll make another post about backgrounds/history of a few of the Talons
Something I find cool about Dick Grayson’s lineage is that “Grayson” isn’t actually his last name. The name is a play on words for “The gray son of Gotham”, referring to the gray area that divides the rich and the poor. Cobb was scorned by his lover's father for being poor, and after willingly joining the Court of Owls, William stole his first born son and brought him to Haly’s Circus to be raised and hopefully become a Talon. This son was the father of John Grayson, Dick Grayson’s father. This is why you’ll see Dick Grayson be referred to as “The Gray Son of Gotham”, as Cobb had originally hoped his son, and now great-grandson, would be the one to blur the lines between the class divides.

Explanation please I need a valid reason to cry
OKIE-DOKIE,
HERE WE GOOOO-
In the Valiant Hero ending, Charles dies with plenty of people to grieve for him and pay respect. He also got a proper burial and died painlessly, accomplishing what he really wanted. And that's all the explanation I need to give for VH.
Moving onto Revenged, I'm going to go WAAAYY back for this one. As Reginald was being held hostage by Henry, we surrendered instead of demanding his members to fight back, because he cares about them so much, and he didn't want them to get hurt. The Toppat Clan is basically Reginald's life.
Now, after RPE, Reginald saw Henry as a reckless leader and busted in to take control for himself. During FtC, RHM was undergoing his cybernetic enhancements surgery or whatever it was, probably making Reginald worry his top hat off. We don't know the time period between ItA and FtC, so Henry could've had potential as a leader, but we're not sure. So, when Henry called the Toppats for help, Reginald betrayed him, as we all know. I'm sure we all thought Reginald was an asshole when we first saw that he was a traitor to Henry, but he's actually completely justified for it. As I said, the Toppat Clan was basically his whole life. He could have not wanted to even betray Henry in the first place, but he did, maybe it's because he thought it would be better for everyone, maybe it's because he thought the rest of the clan would prefer it without Henry. Or maybe he is an asshole, we don't know. But, he PROBABLY did it for the sake of the clan. Now, Henry died twice in this route, and BOTH of his deaths were probably painful. First death, after his betrayal, he was dropped into the freezing cold waters of Russia/Canada, (I think it's Russia.), and he was paralyzed by the cold. And, not to mention, he was drowning too. The freezing cold was probably stabbing him like knives or needles or something sharp and pointy like that, until he either drowned or froze to death, whichever came first. Now, for his SECOND death, oh boi, there is a lot of different ways that could've gone. Here are some of the ways he could've died;
Overheating
Electrocution
Battery melting (Poisoning)
Exhaustion
And more, I don't know them all. And most likely, ALL of those were painful. I mean, getting shot in the spine is bad enough, but climbing a hill while enduring even more pain than just that? Yikes, that's just... You know. Continuing on with that, nobody grieved for Henry. Nobody paid respect, nobody grieved, nobody was even there to give him a proper burial. Nobody was there to care for him. Not even Charles. He probably died having more people wish he was dead rather than wishing he was alive. Some people were probably even happy by his death. Also, Reginald asked if it was worth it before he died. That could've given Henry the chance to rethink it all, and maybe that would be his last regret. Taking down the Toppats, and going down with them.
Another thing, Henry probably remembers other timelines and stuff. So, he probably went with the fact that Charles was dead in another timeline, and wouldn't be able to care for him, and Ellie hated him in other timelines. Ellie probably would've wanted him dead too.
And there you have it. This is why Revenged is Sadder then Valiant Hero.

Amnesia AU (to be edited into something comprehensible)
(I did not edit it into something comprehensible. Rambled about this AU two a few people, part 1 is the first part 2 is the second, good luck understanding this)
Part 1
Ok so basically
AU starts when Tommy&Tubbo show up for the discs
But Dream isn’t interested in fighting them at all
He hands them over and also says that they’re fakes
Before showing them his house
And it basically turns out he’s lost his memory but only partially
He still remembers stuff and people and places but not really how they relate
And he remembers a lot more about what’s important to people than the person themselves
One idea I had was that the closer the original Dream was to someone originally, the less au!Dream remembers about him
He has almost no idea who George and Sapnap are, but will remember stuff easily about people like Ranboo
Not sure exactly when or why the amnesia happens
That’s still in development
Definitely in between Doomsday and the Finale
But in this AU at least it’s Ranboo who placed the signs for him and it was planned before he lost his memory
Tommy&Tubbo show up expecting this whole fight but au!Dream is basically just chill
I definitely want him to share a lot of traits with original!Dream though, it’s not like he suddenly becomes a different person
So he might manipulate people a bit and is willing to be ruthless when he has to
I also feel he’s probably sort of what og!Dream wanted to be? He’s not invested in the discs or Tommy anymore, he’s not attached to anything
bcos he doesn’t remember enough to
thats sort of the basis of his memory loss actually
He still remembers things it’s just the attachments between them are lost
Part 2
anyway I now have a title for my possible amnesia!Dream fic
“Dream hit the ground too hard”
in reference to the death message
but instead of dying his memory just gets messed up
although original!Dream does sorta die bcos amnesia!Dream probably sees them as different people
Wilbur/Ghostbur situation
also it’s not like.
can’t remember anything amnesia
He can remember things and people and stuff fine, it’s just how they relate + timeline stuff that’s messed up
In a way, amnesia!Dream is what original! Dream wanted to be
No attachments to anything
Amnesia!Dream: I literally couldn’t care less about these discs, here have them. Anyway want to see my cool base? Can’t remember building it, but apparently that’s normal for me!
this entire au is just so I can have Ranboo&Dream bonding moments
but everyone comes through the portal dramatically just to see like
Tommy&Tubbo with the discs and Henry and stuff
and Dream bringing over chocolate chip cookies bcos he got bored waiting for them
“I did not make enough for all of you”
tempted to make amnesia!Dream like. a slight Techno fanboy. I have the power
look he might not. actually remember half the stuff that happened on the server but he *definitely* remembers Techno being cool with withers
also! another contrast with original!Dream
amnesia!Dream only wears his armour when he has to
based off how I play minecraft he like. goes around in plain iron
when he has maxed netherite in his enderchest
he probably still doesn’t have a house tho
he doesn’t sleep so he doesn’t see the need for one
he just has vaults to keep stuff in
but unlike original!Dream he’s not defensive about it he’s just “yeah I prefer to just wander around”
honestly I’m basing him a lot off extrapolated manhunt!Dream personality
(about community house) he remembers places and important events so yeah
but I don’t think he would really remember spending much time there?
I think any loss he’d feel about it it more of a “it was there for so long and now it’s gone” feeling than personally attachment
And he definitely shares a lot of traits with original!dream! That’s something I’m very determined to keep
He still has the tendency to be manipulative and ruthless when he needs to be
one of the things I find most fun about this AU is that amnesia!Dream is both what original!Dream aspired to be and at the same time not at all
Like amnesia!Dream feels like the type to just help someone out because he happens to be in the area and have nothing better to do

2x3 rewatch
I keep forgetting that Brach is still in S2. Oops. Also, I apparently went to check something in S6 last time I watched something, so it started at 6x2 instead of 2x3 and I yelled. But anyway, on with this mess. “Death Came in Like Thunder” apparently. It sure did.
Ah yes, let us not forget that Branch is MANLEH. This shall be proven to us by him murdering his cousin, Trunk, with big ax. Chop chop, Branch, kill Trunk. But oh no, must also show that he is People Smart, so must also lose because this makes him likable. And many white people clap. Yaaaay. But be sure to say, “I let him win, Ferg,” while your competitor is right next to you, so he almost surely heard you. Good good.
Oh Ferg. Could you look more gormless if you tried? (I mean, probably not, since presumably that was the goal of the actor, so he would have been trying. But still.) Bb.
Heh, nice thematic cut to Walt also chopping wood. And YAY, Henry’s gorgeous truck (and gorgeous self). I’m just going to take a moment to appreciate the fact that Henry rolls up and just helps himself to some of Walt’s thermos of coffee. Because of course he does. But I do so love these touches that they put in that do underline the fact that they are married have been besties for going on 40 years. Also, I love this jacket of Henry’s. The woven top, jean jacket sort of one? Yeah, top 5 costume pieces of his for me. (Also on that list, all basically tied with each other, basically any pants he wears. I am reminded, when they cut back out to a full body shot. Because I am very shallow, and he is very pretty.)
Haaaaaa. And of course Cady talked to Henry before she talked to Walt. Walt is a butthead. And, yeah yeah, she just found out that he’d been lying to her for over a year, but that just proves my point that Walt is a butthead. And we’re back to this whole idea that she left her phone, which just... ugh. No. But Henry’s face when he says that she said that she is safe, and he’s so worried, but still willing to respect her boundaries.
“She is an adult, Walt.” “She’s my daughter.” For fuck’s sake, you jackass, your ADULT daughter; that’s the whole flipping point! Also, that little emphasis on my daughter, pfft. If you didn’t want to feel like she preferred her cool dad to you, maybe try being less of an AAAAAAASSHOLE. And, like, respecting her. Even a weensy little bit.
“Etta Place” I don’t remember if we find out why that’s the ‘assumed name’ that Cady chose, but I’m intrigued. Wait, I just googled. Looooool. She spent years with Butch and Sundance. Nice.
Walt is such a soft touch with teens. *snack crackle pop* that kneecap back into place. Vic starts this scene saying, “The 911 operator,” though, which is interesting, because I was kind of under the impression that Ruby was the main dispatcher, so it would be kind of heartening if she actually had back up with that. ...Or maybe they’re just far enough out that a cell call made would be picked up by a tower farther out and have to be routed back in to the station/them. I have no idea how that actually works. Another rabbit hole for me to totally not go down. Hopefully. Shit. They’ve apparently upped the fine for trespass since the show, though, because it’s $750 (or 6 months in jail) now and Walt says it’s $500.
And once again, we see Vic actually wearing gloves while investigating a suspicious death, and Walt just squinting into the distance helpfully. I suppose “things got bad” in Basque country around WWII, but there has been friction there that dates back before the Spanish Civil War, or even the Carlist Wars the previous century. It did get gnarly with the dictatorship of Franco, and the formation of the ETA in retaliation, though, so yeah. (Francisco Franco is also on the list of people who anybody with a time machine should go back and beat the shit out of.)
Shit, I forgot about the animal death.
Knock knock, no answer. Better just wander in without a warrant. I know that the guy who they know lives there is dead, but still, no fricking warrant; I suppose the worry of a poisoning could count as probably cause?
Gods, but there are moments when I do absolutely adore Vic, and they are usually when she’s taking the piss out of Walt. “Reclusive bachelor chic; you and Marco have the same decorator.” Looool. But also, sad, because Martha has only been gone for a little over a year, and Walt is not the kind of person who would, like, change stuff and get rid of her things, so that’s kind of odd. Maybe Henry and/or Cady went though and put away some of her things to try to help Walt move on? But damn, the ‘excuse you’ look on Walt’s face when she does say it, pffft.
AND AGAIN, Vic wearing gloves, Walt with his bare ass hands picking up the picture of Picasso’s Guernica; can you at least *pretend* you’re a cop, *some* of the time, buddy?
Lol at the barrabilak; they are pretty well by the Rocky Mountains, so it’s probably not all that surprising that Walt’s had some “Rocky Mountain oysters” before.
I had forgotten that Vic had four brothers. But her comment about Sal going off to look after the sheep and how if someone had told her that one of her brothers were dead she “wouldn’t care about any damn sheep,” I don’t know. It kind of annoys me. It’s totally in character for her, which is good, but I think it’s part of what can annoy me about her character. Different people grieve differently, but also, I know she’s only been in Wyoming for a year or two, tops, but how is it so hard to fathom that someone one would be concerned about their livelihood, even in the face of personal tragedy? Just, seeing beyond her own very narrow experience doesn’t seem like something she’s very good at. It would be one thing if she’d framed it as “this is suspicious, and here’s why I think so as a cop,” but it was, “I wouldn’t react that way personally, so it’s sus.”
Sure, be suspicious because there’s a suspicious death and family members are always suspects until ruled out, but approach it like a cop. Or at least think about it from more angles than just your own, not terribly similar experience. You’re a white city cop who can’t (or won’t) adjust to being in BF rural-ville, but these are immigrant shepherds whose family come from a homeland where the cops were just as likely to kill you as answer questions, and you’re side-eying a guy for going to make sure that their meal ticket doesn’t get obliterated?
I need to keep reminding myself that I really did want to like Vic. I really did. She just... they don’t make it easy for me. Maybe she’s serving as an avatar for audience who don’t know about some of the culture stuff, and the audience get answers from her ignorance? But honestly, I wish they’d picked a different way to handle that, if that’s what they were trying to do. Her response to Henry being salty about Thanksgiving still really pisses me off. Because it was shitty and racist, and... do we really need a character basically rolling their eyes and saying, “It was so long ago, why don’t you just get over it,” about something that is intrinsically tied to the genocide of so many people? Why are Indigenous people just supposed to “get over it” but “Remember the Alamo” and “Southern Pride,” and shit? Fuck’s sake. Honestly, that might have been the moment when they lost me on her character. She has moments where she’s awesome, but they never really address her being fucking racist or give her a chance to grow into a better person. Which sucks a lot. Fuck. Ok, that was a lot. Sorry. Back to the actual ep.
AH, nice of you to beam in from the campaign trail, Brancheroo!
Uh, so I paused it to look at pic in the newspaper, and then being me, started to look at the articles surrounding the pic. And the one with the headline “Fans Injured At Local Game” is actually about the Stewart case? From 1x3? I’m guessing that somebody went to the trouble of writing up an article for that for some S1 ep after it and they just plugged it in because when not paused, you might catch “Sheriff Longmire” there and that’s all they need. Especially since the text starts to repeat after the first paragraph. (I am the worst pedantic little shit.) Ooooor, maybe even though it’s S2, it’s hardly been any time since 1x3? The date on the newspaper is March 31, 2012, so there’s a timeline hint.
Awwwwww, once Walt points out the bird, Ferg knows exactly what it is. Occasional twitcher, are we, my lad? “A red-tip meadowlark,” indeed. Oh bb; Ferg’s face when he sees Walt looking at the pic of him with Branch in the paper.
“You go too fast, you miss the little things.” Every once in a while, he actually sort of mentors Ferg. I wish he did more of that, especially since we see later how capable Ferg can be.
Go suck an egg, Branch. Why does she get all the “good” assignments? Maybe because she was actually on the job when they found the body, not campaigning.
OPE. Lizzie’s gift. Yeah, I’d probably choke on that coffee if I were you, too, girl. Better hope that there wasn’t perishable food stuffs in that gift, because that has been in there for a whiiiiiile, hasn’t it. Wait, was Ferg in the office when Lizzie dropped off the gift? Because his face said more than just “Did somebody give Vic a present?” Suuuuper subtle with that whole pushing the drawer closed with your foot there, Vic. Pfffft.
“Cyrano Caballero” How daaaare that skeeve take Cyrano’s name in vain?!?! (I have a thing about Cyrano de Bergerac. It’s quite possibly my favourite play, and I adore the character, and have exactly 0 chill about it at all. I find Brian Hooker’s translation of “The Ballade of the duel at the Hotel Bourgogne Between de Bergerac and a Boeotian” with “Then, as I end the refrian, thrust home,” vastly superior to any other translation that I’ve heard or read, though for the rest of it, I will grant that there are others to be preferred. But that version of his Ballade is exquisite, and I will not be swayed. Holy shit, FOCUS. That is so very much not the point.) It’s not even a throw away line in this ep, it’s just a random, very well chosen, if utterly appallingly insulting, company name. It’s actually incredibly clever for what the business is, and if it didn’t make me so stomping mad, I would applaud whoever came up with it heartily.
Vic’s face listening to this jackass’ spiel is a thing of beauty. “A good woman goes a long way of easing the obvious stresses of your daily life,” the jackass says, cutting his eyes at Vic when he says “obvious stresses,” and I caaaackle.
What is it about this guys’ horrible glasses that just makes him so much more hate-able? I’m not entirely sure, but kudos to whatever costumer put those on him, because they are perfect. In the ‘I want to punch him’ way of perfection.
And after all of that about Walt’s “lady friend,” Vic brings Lizzie’s present. Womp womp. That went super well. Yuuuup, run while you can.
Poor Ferg. Branch manipulates him, Vic ignores him, Walt shuts him down... Poor guy just can’t get a break.
I actually kind of like this motel manager--the one who “doesn’t judge people” and is a stickler for warrants? At least somebody in this county cares about warrants. Also, those doors are actually really pretty. Nice colour, and the carved scrollwork designs are nice.
What an odd shot: the one when they’re coming out of Walt’s office after talking to Skeevy McGrossFace and Rosa. It’s a weird sort of shaky-cam stepping back, just preceding Branch walking, and then turns to follow him when he sit’s on his desk. But it’s a really different style of shot than I can remember, so much so that it’s a bit jarring, especially after the series of nearly stationary close ups that we just had. Weird. [18:42-18-50]
Cady! I haven’t made much note of her costuming before this, but it seems notable that’s she’s only in monocromatics. Especially next to Fales in muted tones, but still some colour, and surrounded by the colourful grafitti of the alley where her mother was stabbed. Nice way of setting her apart from everything.
SHEEPIES! Ooooo, that wagon is so cool. Ah dang, the way that Sal corrects Walt’s pronunciation of his brother’s name is so gloriously passive aggressive. Good for you, my dude. Names are important, and people should have the respect to make the effort to get them right.
Aaaaaand Walt, the definition of Do, Don’t Tell, just shoves the guy to keep him from drinking the possibly dangerous water, rather than, like, using his words. Walt’s gonna Walt.
Iiiiiiiii am a mess, truly. It cuts to an architectural model and I start giggling like a 6th grader, because I know it’s going to be a Jacob scene. He’s not even on screen yet, ffs. HANDS. I’m fine. Totally fine. (That’s totally a lie. I just rewound to the beginning of the scene because I kept giggling too much to pay attention. What the hell.) First time we’ve seen one of the chips, which at this point must be a marketing mock-up, since nothing is built yet. And he actually types, not just doing the hunt-and-peck thing that is sometimes easier on a tablet.
Looking at the weaving that is up on his wall (maybe a rug?) I’m hoping that the prop people actually did buy from Northern Cheyenne artisans. They apparently did most of their filming in New Mexico, so I hope they made the effort to get the patterns right, and buy from the actual tribe they’re supposed to be portraying, I guess? And now I’m distracted by the fact that the random hanging light behind Jacob is at a weird angle?
Look, ever since I realized that the “Hey,” that Jacob does is apparently just A (thanks to it also happening in That Damned Xmas Movie) I am endlessly amused (and charmed) whenever Jacob does it. I don’t know why it makes me so happy, but it does. (This is legitimately embarrassing. How much trouble I am having focusing. Beyond my normal focus issues, which, as shown above, are already impressive. Because thiiiiirst.)
“My boys at the lumber yard did just throw you a campaign rally.” I love how Jacob is basically apparently not just his secret angel-investor, but also a sneaky campaign manager. Did Branch just think shit like the rally just happened? He’s not fricking Ferris Bueller; somebody organizes those. And apparently it’s either Jacob himself, or someone who Jacob appointed to do so.
“I thought you were just a casino developer.” You have noooo clue, Brancheroo. “I prefer to remain a silent partner. White people get nervous when Indians start taking back their land.” Oooooope. Especially interesting because there are previsions for the Tribal Council to purchase land to be Tribal land (Section 6 of Article IX of the Tribal Constitution), but this seems more along the lines of personal acquisition. Though maybe not, because “on the board” doesn’t necessarily equate to being the owner.
The set up of Jacob’s office is so interesting. Functionally for the show, it’s probably for better shooting angles, so that we can see more of Jacob behind the desk while Branch is sitting in front of it, but from an in-the-verse decorating standpoint, bit’s fascinating. He has this focal wall with the gorgeous wall hanging, flanked by floor to ceiling window, but instead of having his desk centered on that wall and directly facing the bulk of the room, it’s at an almost 45 degree angle on a huge rug, and it’s so unexpected. I kind of love it, and want to analyze it for days. Also worth noting is that pride of place is given to the Hotamétaneo’o headdress which is on a stand centered in front of the wall hanging.
How fucking tired must Jacob be. He’s used to Walt... Walting, but then Branch comes in, who he is literally spending his own money to support in his bid for sheriff, and he pulls the same shit of assuming that he’s behind Bad Shit. And then Branch frames it as “bad P.R,” so he’s there to “discuss it with [him] privately.” And then basically threatens him with Walt. I swear. ...there is something a little amusing about Walt being used as the stick in the carrot and a stick method of negotiating. He certainly is enough of a blunt object most of the time.
Oh fuck you so much, Branch. Playing the “can’t give you details about an ongoing investigation” card as though you have some professional or moral leg to stand on after basically blackmailing Jacob with Walt’s vendetta is just such shit. You don’t get to look down your nose at Jacob’s quid pro quo pragmatism when you were the one who came to him for financial backing. You sanctimonious little shitheel. If you didn’t want to deal with Jacob, you shouldn’t have taken his $100k. He’s a business man, and you’re an investment, and not a quixotic one.
“He’s probably the only person to have died from [hemlock] since Socrates.” And then Walt’s incredulous look and her, “Alright, I googled it,” were subtle comedic gold.
Ooooooo, that was a nice little shot. Not quite foreshadowing, but showing Branch’s suspicions and sort of inviting the audience to share them. Walt says his bit about the Army poisoning “Indian wells” to kill them off and get their land, and then we see Branch fiddling with the Four Arrows chip and narrow his eyes considering and slip the chip into his pocket, looking suspicious. It’s a really neat little moment of visual storytelling, no lines, literally three seconds long, just sort of snuck in there, but super effective. Really nicely done.
And again, Cady is in monochromatics. And, shit, just gave Fales Henry’s name. Aaaaaand right after, she realizes that the junkie was killed and realizes that it had to have been one of her dads (or so she thinks).
Sal’s monologue in the cell is a good emotional payoff that plays off of Vic’s comments towards the beginning of the episode. I see the narrative worth of her making them, and how the structure of the episode benefits from it; but seeing those writing elements from the outside of the show doesn’t make me able to like her as a character who said them in-universe. And then the threat Sal makes of vengeance on someone who killed one he loves also underscores the stuff with Cady’s investigation into her mother’s death very well. As much as I gripe about the writing *cough S6 cough finale cough* there really is some damn good writing in this show, and I don’t show enough appreciation for it.
Huh, and now there’s a sort of inverse of that weird shot preceding Branch from earlier, but this one is much more effective and less off-putting. This one [33:00] precedes Walt as he walks back into his office, still a medium close up, but it’s much steadier, and the way it is framed, it does quite a bit to convey his mindset, and he walks out of the shot and we see the three deputies following him in like baffled ducklings, making the shot serve another purpose, too. Which honestly makes that earlier shaky follow shot of Branch even weirder, because this one was so much better.
And then Walt has his creepy little speech about how someone would want to watch the light go out of their eyes and not caring if you get caught. I do appreciate that when he’s talking about the psychology of killing with poison he doesn’t just call it a “woman’s method” which media so often does. It might have been the writers keeping who the killer was abstruse, but it was still more gender neutral. Especially since according to The U. S. Department of Justice's report on Homicide Trends in the United States (1980 to 2008) of all poison killers in that time period, 60.5 percent were male and 39.5 percent female. (Table 5 on page 10.) So that long held idea that even Sherlock Holmes was written to have that poison is “of course” a woman’s weapon is pretty crap.
Awwww, the good old days when Walt paid attention to animals. ...I am still bizarrely salty about the fact that he never named his horse. What a good pupper!
And then we have a classic example of Sneaky!Walt, which always takes people quite by surprise, because he’s usually as subtle as Miley Cyrus.
Also because when he does this, it tends to be pretty fucked up, in a Make Someone Think They’re About To Die way. And then he does His Thing, where he just lays out all of his suppositions, with no proof, only the terror of her thinking that she’s been poisoned and you’re withholding medical intervention to get her to confess. And is, irritatingly, correct about his theories. But I’m pretty sure this qualifies as coercing a confession? She thinks she’s fucking dying. Even Vic looks at him like it’s fucked up, and her moral compass where he’s concerned is... skewed.
They way this reveal was played out, (”How’d they find her so fast?” “Hard to say...”) is somewhat ambiguous as to whether it’s supposed to be that Branch went there to tell Jacob or not, but I kind of doubt it? I kind of figure that the meeting that Jacob was having when Branch rambled in was already with Rosa signing the paperwork. Jacob is smart. So, HAH. Little good your “can’t comment on an ongoing investigation” schtick did.
And then the news that someone in law enforcement has been asking after Henry.
“Lizzie was waiting for you here tonight. You should talk to her, Walt. She seems to think she is in a relationship with you.” ....omgs. The tone. I mean, yes, the blisteringly glorious SASS, but how does one not read that as incredibly shippy? Howwwww?
“You are an honest man, Walt. I would like you to stay that way.” Oh Henry. When did you decide that you weren’t? Was it when you hired Hector? Or was there something before? ...I feel like there were things before that. Hello darkness my old friend.
“It is not your job to protect me.” “It is my job...” THOSE WERE THE DAYS. Those were the fucking daaaaaays. And the emotions on Henry’s face after Walt says, “That was my right,” as though Henry cheated him of something. I am so deep in OT3 feels I cannot even see daylight here. The feels of them having been an OT3 and then Walt pulling this shit, and Henry having to defend his own “right” to avenge Martha? It wrecks me. “A good woman was murdered. A bad man is dead. End of story.”

Little something for everyone while y’all are in quarantine. Part 2 coming whenever.
Transcript under the cut:
Five Nights at Freddy’s. Where do we even start with this one? FNAF is probably one of the most confusing games out there when it comes to trying to figure out what the hell happened in it. Everyone has their own opinions and interpretations, so I figured I’d provide my own.
Do keep in mind that I’m not going to cover every single part of the lore, as some of it’s fairly self-explanatory. Instead, I’m going to focus mostly on FNAF 4, as that’s where this Gordian Knot of confusion really stems from.
Be warned, this video’s going to contain something truly scary: OPINIONS. [scream effect] Yes, my views on the lore are much different than everyone else’s, so don’t get your springlocks set off just because my theories don’t align with yours. Because for starters…
[Why I don’t think Michael is the brother]
[Mob noises]
Okay, okay, hear me out. Basically, there are two main family in FNAF: There’s the Aftons, comprised of William, Elizabeth and Michael. Then there’s the - is this really their name? Really? okay - Emilys, comprised of Henry and Charlie.
However, in the books Charlie had a brother named Sammy. So the question is, is Sammy canon? And the answer is yes: During Stage 01, we see one of the kids disappear when left alone with Spring Bonnie, which parallels Sammy slash Charlie’s kidnapping in Fredbear’s by William.
This raises another question though: Who is Sammy in canon, then? And I’ll jut outright say it: He’s the Bitten Child. Yeah, I’m kind of amazed more people don’t realize this. The Fredbear Plush is implied to be possessed by Charlie, as its talk about putting the Bitten Child back together parallels the Puppet giving cake in Happiest Day, and the empty girl’s room indicates that the Bitten Child has a dead sister - her being the Plush explains why the Fredbear Plush cares so much about the welfare of this random kid.
Likewise, Charlie and Sammy were twins. The Bitten Child and Charlie have the same blocky sprites, and they both have brown hair and brown eyes.
Most importantly, the Bitten Child is spirited to look exactly like the Puppet. Given that he isn’t the one possessing it, the only way this makes sense if the two were related.
Finally, the Bitten Child freaks the hell out when approached by an employee in a Fredbear suit, and the Fredbear plush says that he’ll “know what happens if he catches you”. Many people believe this means the Bitten Child witnessed the children being murdered, but it’s too early in the timeline for that - Phone Guy says in 2 that the Freddy’s where the murders occurred was shut down and left to rot afterward. The restaurant in 4 is still open, meaning the murders haven’t occurred yet - given some other context, it’s likely they died in 1985.
The only other incident the Bitten Child could be reacting to… would be the kidnapping back in Fredbear’s, where William stole one of the twins while in a Spring Bonnie suit. And the only way he would know about it is if he was there during the kidnapping - which is enough for me to say with confidence that the Bitten Child is indeed Sammy.
Also, Sister Location has a lot of kidnapping references. [I kidnapped you.]
Especially in the Immortal and the Restless. Vlad represents William throughout the games - not dong much in FNAF 1, working the night shift in 2, being in the burning building in 3, and the hidden scene representing Baby not killing Michael who she thinks is William. And what is said every episode?
[The baby isn’t mine]
The baby isn’t his because Sammy literally isn’t William’s child; he’s Henry’s.
However, if the Bitten Child is Sammy, then that means this [Older Brother footage] cannot be Michael.
Now, I know all of you smart people out there are already thinking the obvious: The books are an AU. Couldn’t Sammy be the one kidnapped in canon, thus allowing Michael to still be the Brother? And to that I say: …Yeah. If you want to work with Michael being the Brother, then this is the best way to do it, and it’s entirely possible this is the correct answer. …But with that said, I’m not entirely convinced.
[Why Charlie was kidnapped and not Sammy]
For starters, there’s the simple question of motivation. Why would WIlliam be raising Henry’s kid? Killing kids is kind of his M.O.. Even in the books, he killed the child he kidnapped. The idea of him kidnapping and raising a kid is even brought up in the Fourth Closet… then dismissed because it would be out of character for him, which would be strange if he did exactly that in canon.
As established earlier, Sammy also remembers the kidnapping, which would make it weird if he was the one kidnapped and yet is just allowed to freely wander the neighborhood. What’s to stop him from telling someone else, or even just running away?
Moving on to actual evidence, the map in SL’s breaker room lists the FNAF 4 house and the minigame house as two separate observation areas. This could be to differentiate the two for the player, but I don’t know why they’d be separated in-universe unless they were two separate houses. This would also explain why the living rooms don’t look the same and why the grandfather clock is in two different locations.
Likewise, the Fredbear Plush has either a camera or a walkie-talkie in it to spy on Sammy. However, the private room also reveals that William has the FNAF 4 gameplay house bugged. He shouldn’t need to use the Fredbear Plush to spy on Sammy, given that he can watch him both through the house cameras and the (presumable) cameras in Fredbear’s - unless Sammy is still in Henry’s house, which would force William to slip a camera into the place discreetly.
Speaking of the minigame house, there are a few parallels between it and Henry’s house in the books. The house was connected to an underground location in the Twisted Ones, just like it’s connected to the Sister Location in canon. And one of the rooms contains a tiny toy animatronic - just like the ones Henry built for Charlie in the Silver Eyes.
Continuing on that train of thought, let’s look at that tiny Toy Mangle. Assuming the Toy Chica principle is in place here - that being that the literal toys in this game look the same as the Toy Animatronics - the Mangle here looks like the FNAF 2 version of Mangle, not like William’s Funtime Foxy, pointing to it being Henry’s creation and not William’s. The SL extras even reveal that Funfox was supposed to be purple at first, which doesn’t make sense if it was supposed to match the tiny toy version.
But perhaps one of the biggest pieces of evidence regarding this toy is in Mangle’s Quest. While walking, you can encounter a huge silhouette of the Puppet… which makes Mangle look toy-sized in comparison. This only makes sense if this room was Charlie’s, and the Mangle toy was hers.
This also makes sense considering that Sister Location didn’t exist at the time of 4′s release. Scott claimed you could solve the lore back then using only the first four games, and if this was Charlie’s room, you could do it by combining the knowledge of the Fredbear Plush with Sammy’s missing sister and Charlie from the novels. If this is Elizabeth’s room, the only way that could be would be if it was retconned into place behind the scenes.
Additionally, I don’t think Elizabeth’s death is the correct date for this room to be empty in 1983. Handunit says that CBEAR didn’t open until after Freddy’s closed, as it gave them the opportunity to move into the entertainment space without competition. I’d assume this also applies to the original Circus Baby’s Pizza World, which indicates Elizabeth didn’t die until after FNAF 1. Given that Michael still has eyes in FNAF 1, SL in general had to have taken place after it - it’s unlikely William waited 10+ years to finally send Michael to save her, so her death being after FNAF 1 makes more sense timeline-wise.
Meanwhile, Charlie died in the very first Freddy’s location, before the other murders. HW confirms the FNAF 4 location was this first Freddy’s, meaning that she died in 1983. This not only lines up with her death date in the Fourth Closet, but also explains why the room in 4 hasn’t been cleaned out; she only died recently.
This would also explain why Henry claims that no-one was there to save Charlie. It’s his restaurant; wouldn’t he have, like, been there and been watching her if he was the one who brought her in?
And finally, I do have one massive piece of evidence that I feel proves the idea that Charlie is the one who was kidnapped.
[Chica School Days opening]
I know, I know, stay with me. Each of Toy Chica’s husbandos in these cutscenes represent one of William’s victims and how he killed them, as proven by her talking about running over a dog which aligns with Susie’s death in both Fruity Maze and the novels. There are a total of six people she targets.
However, that’s the thing - there are six victims, one for each of the original five - and the Puppet. That means Charlie’s death has to be included in here. And yet, none of the deaths line up with what we see in the minigames… unless you assume Charlie was the one kidnapped. In which case, there is one that fits…
[Toy Chica talking about kidnapping]
There are six deaths, so Charlie must be included. If the only thing that lines up with her death is the kidnapping scene, then Charlie must have been the one who was kidnapped, not Sammy.
But that brings us back to the original problem: If Charlie was the one who was kidnapped, Sammy is still living in Henry’s house. Which means Michael is not the Brother.
[Why do people think Michael is the Brother?]
Let’s move on to explaining away some of the evidence for Michael being the Brother.
The first and most obvious piece is that we play as the Brother in FNAF 4. Michael lives in the FNAF 4 house, so he must be the Brother. Which is a fair piece of evidence. However, I do think there’s something that explains this: Midnight Motorist.
Yes, the reason this minigame has perplexed so many fans might be because they’ve been looking at the entirety of FNAF 4 wrong. Let’s start with the Yellow Guy, who’s likely Henry. Why? Well, he’s driving William’s purple car and yet isn’t purple himself, so he can’t be William yet must have a connection to him. Henry and William were friends and business partners, so the idea of this being a company car or one of them just borrowing it for the weekend makes sense.
Likewise, every minigame and cutscene in FNAF 6 pertains to one of the main characters. The Puppet minigame for, well, the Puppet; Fruity Maze for William slash Scraptrap; and Candy Cadet’s stories for Scrap Baby and Molten Freddy. Henry is the only main character who wouldn’t have something in-game pertaining to him unless this sprite is him.
Moving on, we see him interact with a green sprite. I’d wager this is Clay Burke, for no other reason other than the sprite is presumably color-coded because we know the character, and because Clay is a cop and therefore could easily kick Henry out a bar.
Out a bit from Henry’s house, we see a grave, and around the back of the house there’s a smashed window and an animatronic footprint. In the books, the Twisted animatronics specifically targeted Henry’s family, kidnapped people through aggressive means, and buried themselves during the day. Given that the Twisteds are just AU Nightmare animatronics, it’s likely one of William’s robots was trying to kidnap another one of Henry’s kids.
However, the kid being targeted doesn’t seem to be Sammy or Charlie. Henry’s wife is still present and this is a different house than the one in FNAF 4, suggesting this is early on in the timeline, as Henry got a divorce and moved shortly after the kidnapping. The kid that was targeted here was old enough to lock himself in his room and make a run for it, suggesting it wasn’t one of the two babies but rather the Brother from 4, who’s certainly enough of an Angsty Teen to lock himself in his room several times.
As we can see by the footprints and Henry’s blase attitude, it looks like the Brother escaped from the animatronic… this time. It’s likely William kept trying to kidnap him until he succeeded, locking him into his house once he was successfully captured after the Bite. The dialogue from the FNAF 4 trailer might actually apply to William; he brought home the Brother, he think he sees a ghost haunting him which is why he’s observing him in the first place, and he treats this whole thing like a sick game.
So with the FNAF 4 house out of the way, there’s only a few other pieces of evidence. The logbook shows Michael having drawn N. Fredbear… but given that the Nightmare animatronics were still in his house, it’s likely he would have seen then at some point during the night.
The logbook also indicates that Michael is Mike Schmidt from FNAF 1, with his pseudonym being a combo of his own first name and “Eggs Benedict”. FNAF 4 plays like FNAF 1 does, and you can hear one of Phone Guy’s calls in the background, meaning the Brother must have worked in the FNAF 1 location and heard Phone Guy’s messages. And while Michael does fit these requirements… there is one other character who fits them even better.
