The most confusing thing to me is when people bring up Joker having diplomatic immunity after Jason's death as something he would care about and would change his perception of Bruce not avenging him. It’s a good few weeks, and it feels like everyone’s back on track, settling into their lives again, figuring everything out one day at a time. Buck’s happy. He has his awesome girlfriend, his best friend seems finally more at ease, even if the divorce is adding some stress, and his other best friend is happier than ever with his mom around. I’m not entirely certain when they started calling me that, actually. Annatar used to be known here as Tar-Mairon, not Tar-Glóriel, but… it was sometime in the first decade of our marriage, I think. He did crown me in silver, and he wears his jewelry (and often his hair, nails, and ambient light) almost exclusively in gold.

Honestly? I think he just liked the pun with my name and the framing it created, of us as a matched set; and people wanted a royal title for me. Personally I thought it was funnier watching our people (used to all the flowery honorifics Annatar likes) having to call me by my bare name, but I can’t get everything I want.
