What do you think about mav actually being super hypercompetent in his every day life? Growing up in foster care forced him to figure out how to make really delicious meals, budget tightly, and be really handy about repairs early on. Whereas slider and ice are not...useless, but def inexperienced. like before they are able to figure it out, mav will swoop in and finish up whatever they are doing or demonstrate his expertise in some way. Not in a on purpose way to make them feel bad but in a hypercompetent way. Also goose and carole are in the same position as slider and ice, but a few years wiser. Bradley has caught on too and doesnt know why his parents wont just ask uncle mav to do it instead of wasting time fucking around trying to figure it out themselves.

I think Maverick is hypercompetent but i think it stems from more than just his childhood (although that would have a big impact) (and if we’re really going further afield, rejection sensitivity could be an influence) I think after his dad died he became financially aware very young. As an adult he simply looks at his water bill and can think of ways to decrease it by what ever % right off the top of his head. He’s also the type of guy to look at something and just…figure it out. Busted oven? Give him a manual and twenty minutes and it’ll be fixed.

It’s not that everyone else is incompetent, but regardless of salary, a dual income household changes things a lot. I HC that Slider’s parents divorced messily when he was in college and got a lot closer with his aunt. He saw the strain a on his parents after they split and how they had to adapt to being on a single income, where as his aunt (and Maverick) have had it down to a fine art for a long time. So that is to say, broken fridge? Get a repair man. They’ve got busy lives and the spare change.

So in the domestic world Maverick is highly competent because he’s been doing this sort of thing for years already. He can sew which Carol loves. But he’s also impatient so he doesn’t like teaching these skills. More often than not, instead of telling Ice that he needs to more the wrench another quarter turn, he just reached over and does it himself.

Later on in life it’s why he ends up with the P-51. To some it’s a massive project where they don’t know where to start, nor does Maverick. He just starts.

Carole’s a bit better than the other boys but feminist and traditional gender roles etc etc. Maverick gets Bradley a mechano set for his eighth birthday and teaches him about moving parts and it sets bradley on the trajectory to be a mechanic for a solid two months.

Ice has a competency kink so he really doesn’t mind when Maverick is like, really good at everything he does. At the end of it all though, there’s still a certain guilt Maverick carries. There’s no root cause, he just feels bad asking for help and is highly uncomfortable when he’s not good at something. And being the best is the exact reason he’s so arsey at TOPGUN. What do you mean “figured out who the best is” it’s obviously him.

So yes, maverick is highly competent for lots of reasons :D

also small announcement below the cut!!! especially considering ive been experimenting more with dead dove/nonconventional topics and themes.

first thing; i made a side blog for my dead dove and other extreme fics. the reason why i'm doing this is bc some people don't want to see that kind of stuff- and that's totally okay! and ik the filtering/blocking tags thing doesn't always work, especially for more "niche" topics.

i plan on branching out my repertoire by writing about topics that are "scary" or "new" to me- so this little counterpart to my blog will make it easier for me to post things that aren't typically sought after by the gen. pop. things like sickfics, whump, noncon, and other graphic or heavy themes.

in addition/addendum to that:

idk if this is common knowledge for any of my followers, moots, etc, but i have a severe phobia of vomit. like. huge. and at my big ass age of 21 (lol) i think it's time to start...getting through that fear. i've struggled with contamination OCD for a really long time and it's something i never thought id even try to overcome- but then i came across a creator on here who makes fetish art- which def wasn't something i was looking to encounter. but like a car crash, i couldn't stop looking at their work and i ended up coming across a post of theirs where they explain that they do what they do to get over their fear. at first i was fucking baffled as to how they couldn't manage to do that, but i get it now. taking something innately fucking horrifying and flipping the narrative so casually can be cathartic, and i finally after over a year of contemplation, gave it a whirl in my own writing. i mean, what better way to get over something by attacking it from my best angle??

typically this isn't something i'd ever consider doing. but...here we are. and i feel like im doing myself, and other people who feel the same way, a disservice by hiding this type of content in my notes app, never to be seen by anyone but me.

my blog has always been a safe space for the freaks and weirdos, and i want to keep facilitating that space while also keeping it enjoyable for all crowds. so by keeping a little separation between the two blogs, it'll ensure i feel comfortable, and others do too. i'm not gonna force everyone who follows me to come across some crazy fetish content they didn't sign up for, especially when previously i'd stated i don't write that kind of stuff. but alas people change and grow and i don't want to stifle myself from writing good things because im too afraid of judgement or my own insecurities.

i think kink is a very important thing in the fanfic world, because it allows the writer, as well as the audience, to connect on an even further level through the delivery of fetish content. as someone who hyperfixates on the development and accumulation of fetish and kinks, especially from a psychological level, this is something i was considering in the past- but not to this level, yk? like yeah, i could continue to just write sweet little hcs of softgaraki, and i love doing that, but also...like, i need these freak ass men to live their truths, and i need to live mine.

honestly after watching presto i think it actually makes a lot of sense that adam didn’t like jonah at first. ive seen a couple posts talking ab how it was ooc but honestly…? i can definitely see it. not just bc adam is a little hater in general but there is def potential for deeper, interpersonal reasons too.

i mean think about it. hunting alternates is something that means so much to adam. i wont expound on lynn and her tragedy; we all know what happened then. but he doesn’t. (well, didn’t.) it’s his raison d’être, almost, to find out what happened that cold night in 1992. that night but that changed everything.

whereas with jonah… we really have no idea why he joined BPS, actually. I have my own hcs of course, but little has been depicted so far as to give any canon motive. shits and giggles, maybe? thats what adam would’ve thought at first, at least in my eyes. he never really seems to be taking it seriously, always joking and messing around. i can easily imagine adam resenting, almost loathing jonah for not realizing the extent to how much this matters.

dont get me wrong, i dont think adam /continued/ to hate him. that log was written two years prior to what we see in vol 2, after all. plus, it wouldn’t make much sense considering their dynamic shown before in canon (which isn’t to say there still aren’t underlying tensions ofc).

what adam told thatcher during presto was very contradictory; both “hating” jonah and felling guilt over his death. which is good!! it adds more complexity to their dynamic! but yeah, i definitely feel that adam has conflicting emotions on jonah, and was mostly just trying to convince himself it was that simple.

idk i just wanted to get this idea out there while presto was still fresh in everyones minds. theres more i wanna say than this but i dont wanna derail the post so see yall later 👍

oh he’s just the best. he knows your strong, independent, and capable, so i honestly don’t think he’d hover too much. he knows you can handle yourself, which is one of the reasons why he loves you so much.

all that he ask is if you leave the palace to either take cressida, varian, or one of the guards just in case.

one thing he will do though is make sure you’re eating and sleeping well. he wants this baby to be healthy, so that means keeping YOU healthy.

a/n: okay so i used Terushima (our lovable f-boy) in Tsukki’s hc, but changed it up for the rest of them. i also made it so that you weren’t their s/o yet, but there are def feelings involved! hope this is ok!!

Tsukishima:

the Karasuno boys were getting restless waiting outside for their beloved manager by the bus

and it’s not that Tsukki was super worried… but you’d been missing for a little while now

you weren’t answering his phone calls and Tsukki had a sneaking suspicion that something was wrong

“What’d you do this time, y/n…” he sighs under his breath, making his way back to the gym

he starts his search where he last spotted you, but there’s nobody there

Tsukishima is slightly concerned now, listening out for any voices or noises in case it had anything to do with you

when he reaches the hallway, he recognizes the echo of your voice

“-not interested and I need to find my team, sorry!” your nervous response directed at a bleach-blonde volleyball player… with piercings?

“Come onnn, babe. I just want your number!” Terushima’s hand his now by your head, your back pushed up against the wall

“Oye, back off, asshole.” Tsukki’s voice rings out, still walking his way over to you

Teru only briefly glances at him then immediately turns his attention back to you, stepping closer

you have a panicked look on your face and for the first time in a while, Tsukishima’s chest tightens in empathy which morphs into a muted fury

“I said get off of her.” Tsukki’s hand is on Terushima’s shoulder now, pushing him away from you

“Jeez, okay bro.” Teru responds with a smirk, throwing his hands up, “I was leaving now, anyway.” 

as soon as he’s gone you can finally breathe again

Tsukki turns to ask if you’re okay, but before he gets a word out, your arms are around his back

“Thank you, Tsukki. I’m so sorry you had to see that.”

the shock of your touch fades a little and he slowly wraps his arms around you, a barely noticeable flush on his face

“Stop going off on your own, stupid… and don’t be sorry. You didn’t do anything wrong.”

Oikawa:

it was 30 minutes into practice at the Seijoh school gym and you were a no show

which is incredibly unusual considering you usually arrived before the rest of the team (besides maybe Oikawa, who’s already warmed up)

Oikawa checks with the entire team, asking them if they’d noticed you on their way inside or if you’d said anything about missing practice, but no one has seen or heard from you

luckily, Oikawa keeps tabs on his team, which includes you since you’re their manager (and he kinda-sorta likes you a lot)

so he takes a short break, quickly making his way to your usual hangout spots and checking around corners

it takes him a moment to soak it in, but there are two guys cornering you near your locker

he knows, in most cases, you can handle things by yourself… but this feels so wrong

you’re clearly uncomfortable, uninterested… and once he catches you eye, he can tell you’re scared

before he knows it, Oikawa has already grabbed one of them by the shirt and shoved them away from you

“What the hell is your problem??” he shouts, “Get away from her.”

Oikawa is literally seething at this point, hand gripping even tighter on the boys shirt, threatening to tear the fabric

his friend recognizes Oikawa and knows that the whole school would find out about this if they didn’t leave soon

so they both take off down the halls

he turns around, grasping your hands firmly

“Are you okay, y/n? Are you hurt?”

“I... I’ll be okay.” but he feels you shaking

“Let���s just get out of here then. I’m gonna take you out for a few to get some fresh air if you’re okay with that?” he gently tugs you toward him

“...Yeah. Please.”

this will be the first time he’s missed a practice in years (but he’ll make up for it later in the week)

and right now, his main priority is you. making sure you’re okay and that you can recover peacefully... preferably with an ice cream cone or a cold drink in hand

Iwaizumi:

you and Iwa have shared several classes together over the years and happened to sit next to each other for most of them

so it really isn’t a surprise that y’all have gotten pretty close

he’s actually the reason you became the Seijoh manager in the first place since he’d been complaining to you about how unorganized things were getting on the team without one

unfortunately, being the manager doesn’t just revolve around caring for individual teammates… it also means you have to keep up with their dirty laundry sorry hun

Iwa, since he did drag you into this mess, normally offers to help take the jerseys and clothing  to the laundromat with you

you usually refuse his offer, but for some reason, you let him join you this time around

you and Iwa bring in the first batch of clothing, greeting the laundromat owner, and get everything started

“I’ll head out to the car for the next basket, Iwa!” you tap his shoulder, letting him know where you’re going

“Okay, I’ll be here. Lemme know if you need help.”

he waits a while, but when you don’t return Iwaizumi lets a slight panic set in, hurrying outside to check on you

“Y/n are y-” he stops talking when he notices an absolute sleezebag hitting on you in the parking lot

the stranger is reaching out to grab your arm, but not before a fist collides with the man’s face

Iwaizumi knocks the man to the ground. his fist curl back, fingers digging into his palms, ready to swing at him again

“Get your filthy hands away from her.” he growls out

this sends the creep running, shock setting into your body

and you look over to notice just how tense Iwaizumi’s body is

you gently grasp his wrist with your shaking hands

“You shouldn’t have to come out here by yourself, y/n. I’m coming with you next time.” he says, and you notice a flash of guilt in his eyes as he turns toward you

you just pull him into a hug, releasing your own fear and calming the both of you down

Ushijima:

all of Shiratorizawa’s volleyball team is indebted to you

you’ve traveled with them to every single game, you’ve dealt with so many strange players, and above all, you’ve brought them together, completing their team

so it’s no wonder they hang out with you outside of their volleyball obligations, bc fr they all love you so much and you bring them some much needed normalcy

when you suggest heading to the beach for a day trip, they’re all on board. even Ushijima

you and Ushi usually end up sitting together on the way to any practice games or tournaments so you can plan and prepare together

so you both naturally sit next to each other… but it’s super casual and the conversation is actually fun and chill. relaxed Ushijima is such a nice change of pace

when you all arrive, everyone splits separate ways to get changed

but as you leave the changing room, all cute and beach ready, there’s a guy leaning near the door, outside

“Hey sweetheart, you need some help with that?” he smirks pointing at the sunscreen in your hand

“Uh… no thanks.” you say, starting to squirm under his stare

you attempt to walk away, but he just follows you, so you move faster

Ushijima spots you, noticing that your movements are a bit frantic, so he approaches you

as Ushi finally reaches you, the man runs into him and stumbles backward into the sand, Ushjima’s frame blocking him from you entirely

“Y/n, is he bothering you?” his eyebrows furrowing, looking at you with a tinge of concern

“Because… he really shouldn’t be.” A stone-cold glare overtaking his features

“No, I’m just leaving actually.” The man dusts the sand off his legs and walks away, annoyance (and fear) etched onto his face

you turn to the tall, incredibly attractive ace and thank him profusely, apologizing for the situation

“You’re safe with me, y/n. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

you know what ? im gonna write the basic plot for soogas backstory here now too-

- his parents were both sheikah soldiers serving the royal family, they were nearly never home so he barely even knew them and was pretty much living on his own from a young age on

- they both died while on a mission far away, but that didnt change much for him other than him having to find a way to earn money himself now

- when he was a teenager he was recruited by the royal family (he wanted to tho) which is also where he met Hibiki (my only real zelda Oc .. sorry gotta involve them now- this is how they look, although they are older here than when sooga first met them

i think i forgot to post this on tumblr lmao; anyway they are an artist and a bit older than sooga)

- since they were both outcasts with no relatives that cared about them they quickly became friends (tho it was def more one sided at first bc Hibiki is a way more extroverted ) tho Hibiki has been a bit longer in the army so they rarely went on missions together and only hung out during breaks or when they had both time off

- even after years of training they both stayed in the lower ranks of the army and never managed to climb to a higher one, part of the reason was that Hibiki didnt do a good job of being a spy, not bc they were detected, they just never had much information to report for some reason and Sooga always defended them when they got bullied by higher ups for it (you know how he threatens ppl) which in turn made him less liked and got him almost kicked out once (and yes, Hibiki did have a crush on Sooga but he never realized that even tho they made it REALLY obvious)

- you know the story how link got appointed as zeldas bodyguard ? with him deflecting a laser from a malfunctioning guardian to protect the princess ? yeah, so in my hc, while he did deflect it it didnt straight up hit the guardian back but rather was simply redirected and although Hibiki tried to pull Sooga away it still hit the left side of his face which is how he got that big af scar and lost his eye

- he survived and of course Hibiki was there to take care of him whenever they could, but the more time went on while he recovered it was made clear that the higher ups wanted to kick him out of the army after his wound healed bc they didnt think he was fit to fight anymore missing an eye (thats what they said but it was pretty obvious they just wanted a reason to get rid of him) 

- Hibiki reassured Sooga they would do everything they could to convince them otherwise bc they knew that all he ever wanted to do is be a strong and respected soldier serving the royal family, but who would listen to the worst spy in the whole army .. he got kicked out anyway of course and was forced to work as a farmer (more like help other farmers really) 

- from then on Hibiki was trying to be a better spy, so they could earn enough respect to maybe get the army to welcome Sooga back into their ranks

- but one day when Sooga returned from some field work he noticed a new grave at the corner of the village, and asked who died, it took some time for him to find out it was Hibiki who fell in battle bc after they left the village they never returned so the other villagers forgot even their name, the army brought their body back into the village since they were borne there and didnt have any living relatives

- that was what pushed his resentment for the kingdom and the other sheikah over the edge really, he stole some ancient hidden away sheikah scrolls from the elder of the village and used them to teach himself some techniques ... or at least TRIED to, the only one he was able to manage was a half functional clone, which he used to fake his death and live a live in the shadows, staying away from settlements out of fear of beign recognized

- he made his way into the gerudo desert where he never went to before, and in a cold night snuk undetected into the yiga hideout in the search for shelter since he wasnt equipped for that kind o extreme weather .. tho he didnt realize what he just did

- in the morning he was found after all and, understandably, attacked bc wth how did that guy even get in here ?? after he managed to survive for pretty long given the circumstances, he tried to flee but was stopped by master kohga himself, and while kohga was monologing about .. stuff, Sooga realized this might be his chance to live a proper life again and that pretty close to what he always wanted, so he promptly asks to join them

- positively surprised kohga of course cant just accept him into the clan like that, i mean Sooga was wearing sheikah clothing and got UNDETECTED into their hideout and took a nap there for several hours before being found, thats suspicious as hell

- after being put through several tests and challanges he is accepted into the clan after all-

- now fast forward post calamity (just a few years tho) the topic of Soogas origins comes up and he tells kohga alot but is interrupted bc koh ask him if the friend he was talking about was “a kinda weird artist” ... turns out Hibiki died in a clash with the yiga clan and ... was killed by kohga himself.

- Hibiki always carried a sketchbook in a bag around with them, and the clan took it after their death bc they thought it might contain useful info, it didnt, but since the sketches in it where pretty good they kept it anyway even if it was only half readable since it got soaked in blood

- that is a reveal that tested soogas loyalty to the clan like nothing else could (everyone in the clan including kohga, was expecting him to turn against them again, but were still waiting for him to actually betray the clan)

- sooga didnt turn on them tho, reason was, he managed to seperate the pages of the sketchbook that were stuck together from blood and discovered finely detailed art of the hideout, of its interior too and even of kohga as well

- Hibiki never had much info to tell their superiors bc they snuk around the hideout when on a mission but never with the goal to rat the clan out. they secretly admired kohga and the clan, even wanted to join them for a long time, but never got to do it bc they didnt want to leave Sooga behind but also .. they were afraid to tell him bc he was so focused on becoming a good sheikah soldier they were sure he wouldnt feel the same; they were torn between wanting to join the yiga but afraid of destroying their friendship with sooga ..

when they got into that fatal fight with the clan, kohga didnt even attack them with the intend to kill and they could have easily dodged or parried the hit, the reason they didnt was, ironically, bc they were so stunned by admiration of seeing their idol right in front of them they didnt move a muscle until it was too late...

this got longer than i thought, maybe i went into too much detail here, but anyway this is a summary of the backstory i came up with for Sooga, it doesnt end here tho, this is more like the story of how sooga became part of the yiga; after all of this comes alot more tho it wouldnt make much sense to add that here too xD

I've become attached to the kiddos you have written for them and I'm wondering, what if they had trouble conceiving? From IVF to surrogacy, not everyone has an easy time making kids. I’ve been reading some hc from other fandoms *cough* Haikyuu *cough* and I felt that it was about time to tackle this ask. Since I’m a 17 year old toddler you would assume that I know nothing about this. But I study biology and that doesn’t make this any easier bc I don’t know a single thing about this topic. So I did my research and I tried my best. Hope you like it. Love yaa. 💖💖💖

warnings: triggering content, trouble conceiving, some depressive thoughts. 

-Keigo and you have been together since high school and he married you last year. 

-Even though he’s a pro hero which is a very stressful and time consuming job, it doesn’t take him much time before he wants to start a family. 

-You are in love that’s for sure so a person made form your love is not hard to imagine but you are beyond concerned. 

-Keigo doesn’t have much time for himself and as much as you don’t mind not seeing him for long amounts of time but a child needs to see their father. 

-And you don’t believe that you can raise a child on your own. 

-Your relationship has been built on trust and communication, so you sit down and talk everything through him.

-If he’s being honest he has been concerned about the time he will get to spend with his child as well because he’s number 2....and that’s a handful.

-So you made an agreement.

-You would make a schedule that Keigo would have to follow unless something urgent came up and he would try to minimize his time spent at work. 

-You would give this schedule a try for a month and if he could keep it up you would begin to try for a baby. 

-Surprisingly he made it work and had to leave for an emergency only four times.

-So you got to baby making and you went at it for months. 

-When you got no results even after trying the “best” positions and eating specific foods that would make you more fertile, you started getting discouraged. 

-Keigo suggested going to the doctor to check if something was wrong, with both of you. 

-After your appointment you had to wait for some days before you could get your results back.

-And boy if they weren’t disappointing. 

-Turns out that you both had problems of your own, Keigo not having a strong enough seed and you having an overly hostile environment so conceiving would be a challenge. 

-To say your were devastated was an understatement. 

-You closed yourself off and for the first time in your relationship, there was no communication. 

-Keigo tried talking to you, tried to pull you out of your own thoughts, but to no avail. 

-Your brain was working against you and it showed. 

-You wouldn’t eat, you slept longer and became sloppy in the workplace. 

-He would find you bawling your eyes out in the bathroom and then coming out with a hollow look.

-It was killing him as much as it was killing you.

-So he did some research. 

-And when I say some I mean that he went to like 15 doctors and bought 50+ books about the issue and he came up with around 10 solutions to your problem. 

-Of course the last two on the list were the ones you wanted to avoid, adoption and sperm donation, not that you minded adopting but you wanted a small Keigo to be honest and the idea of donation was off the table. 

-You felt very uncomfortable with the idea. 

-So after he talked to you and convinced you to try what he found, you agreed to try for a year.

-If nothing came of it you would adopt.

-And that’s how it all started. 

-Vitamins and special pills, doctor appointments and hormonal treatments. 

-Nothing seemed to work and you were staring to get disappointed. 

-It was nearing the end of the deadline you had set when you started throwing up in the morning. 

-Your appetite changed and everything smelled awful, your feelings were all over the place and you couldn’t seem to control your tears. 

-Keigo was the logical one for once and took you to the doctor.

-When he came inside the room with the results of your tests with a smile so wide and bright that it blinded you, you knew something was up. 

- “I’m happy to announce that you made it! You are pregnant dear.”

-You swear that the whole clinic heard your squeals. 

-Keigo went full dad mode even though it would be some time before the baby could actually be seen on a sonogram.

-He changed his work schedule even more, staying home longer and minimizing his patrols. 

-Sure he was the number 2 hero but his baby is his top priority and you cannot change my mind. 

-When you got your first sonogram and saw them, Keigo had been called in for an emergency and try as he might he couldn’t avoid it. 

-You had to push him out of the clinic because he wouldn’t leave. 

- “The public is in danger you dumb bird!”

- “I AM NOT MISSING MY CHILD!”

-What in the world??

-You got home before him and you waited patiently, sonogram in hand and two champagne glasses one for actual champagne and one for some apple juice. 

-The moment he stepped through the door he rushed to you and would’ve tackled you if you weren’t pregnant. 

- “Are they healthy? Is everything alright? I don’t like that smile you’ve got. Is it the baby or because I ate your Doritos, I swear I’m going to buy you more!”

- “YOU ATE MY DORITOS????”

-When you raised your hands in the air he saw the pictures you were holding and he focused on that and that alone. 

-You followed his gaze and giggled, patting the space next to you and pecking him on the cheek. 

-He looked at the images in front of him and....was confused beyond belief. 

-Is..is that a baby? It looks like a shadow. Is it a shadow? Are all babies shadows? Shadow babies....

-Seeing the look on his face you let a hearty laugh before grabbing his hands and making them into fists. 

-You brought them together and traced one of them with one finger while your other hand was tracing one shadow on the sonogram. 

- “That’s one baby and that’s another baby.”

-He froze, looking at his fists with his brows furrowed until it hit him.

-Twins.

-He was having twins. 

-All this hard work for a baby and he had been blessed with two.

-He looked at you then, tears forming in the corners of his eyes as a smile made its way on his face. 

-He hugged you tightly, his tears wetting his your shirt and a string of ‘thank you’s and ‘I love you’s spilling from his mouth. 

-He was truly happy with his family.

-Just him, you and your two nuggies against the world.

this is the inciting incident for one of the most dangerous things that could possibly happen during quarantine,, a prank war.

he goes back down to the shore while you’re asleep and fills up a whole BUCKET. with sand and water and ever so carefully positions it on top of your bedroom door

of course he’s mindful not to get you after you’ve just showered because that would be mean, and jim is a lot of things, but he’s not a MEANIE.

“you’re cleaning this up, mason.”

“already on it, l/n.”

so to get him back for that, you pour the milk and orange juice out of their respective containers and switch them on him

so he ends up taking a big bite of froot loops with orange juice, and washing that grossness down with a big gulp of milk

which you got on video of course

“come on, y/n, you can go deeper than that.”

spoiler: you can’t.

you can’t find it in yourself to do anything that might possibly hurt your baby or make him upset with you

except when you suddenly find enough courage to switch his shampoo for hair dye

which ends up working in his favor bc he totally LOVES IT.

“come on, i can work green. don’t you think?”

this ends up starting an impromptu fashion show

let’s be honest here: this boy?

he was PREPARED.

but not as much as he thought he was

like spending weeks trapped indoors with his baby? what could go wrong?

a LOT OF THINGS

he underestimated how quickly he would get bored

he is literally willing to do ANYTHING as long as it’s a modicum of entertainment.

he sees you playing minecraft one time and he is so instantly invested

“hey y/n, what’s that?”

“it’s minecraft, you have to build a house to survive and you can play all kinds of games with other people.”

“can... can i try? 🥺”

in literal,,,, seconds he’s built a massive mansion

of course he cheats to get so much wood, but he doesn’t use commands or codes or anything

he just stares at the screen and then SUDDENLY his inventory is full of wood

but he gets bored of that pretty quickly

bc lets be real,, he has the attention span of a 5 YEAR OLD.

so he turns to the next best thing

which, logically, is of course:

sex. literally marathon sex on every surface imaginable.

he even does this thing where he takes you on the coffee table in front of the other outpost residents, but he makes it so they can’t see either of you

also the breeding link jumps OUT ON THIS ONE, but we’re not gonna talk about that.

basically, you have to come up with manymanymanymany activities so this man baby doesn’t get bored

quarantine with mr shepherd doesn’t start off so well

he’s SO absorbed in his work, he doesn’t spend a lot of time with you.

but that changes quickly once he sees the toll this is taking on you

you try and pretend he isn’t instantly forgiven because his puppy dog eyes are just soooooo cute 🥺🥺

hear me out: this man goes on a whole shopping spree for you, without your knowledge

literally everything: makeup, lingerie, new clothes

and he has you model them for him, hooting and clapping like an audience member and making you blush every time you struck a pose

mr shepherd turns into the perfect housewife™️ and is always cooking huge, delicious meals and keeping the house clean for you

he’s a little ashamed to admit he took advantage of you always doing these tasks when he didn’t know how long it took to do them all the time

he’s come to appreciate you even more than he used to

he may be into more proper, sit down meals, but i’m not saying he wouldn’t be down to snack a lot too

there are definitely lazy days in bed where you two just loaf about, leaving the bed as little as possible

there are also entire days where you do something else in bed if you know what i mean

you guys end up taking the vanta-c out for long drives

usually parking somewhere near a pier or something for a nice view

like i said, he’s not really used to being stuck inside for so long, so you have to come up with inventive things to pass the time

he definitely has a bunch of aerobics lesson tapes sitting around

he begs you to do it with him, and who could say no to that face?

you do it for a while but it gets exhausting pretty quickly since you don’t do it as often as he does

oh, your muscles are sore?

xavier gives AMAZING massages, change my mind.

like absolutely magical.

he loved to take your shirt off, sit on the back of your legs, and rub your back while slowly letting his hands float to your front 👀

and did i mention his sex drive?

this man is literally insatiable!

this idiot will go out for groceries and probably come back with like,, a copy of kama sutra or something

he wants to try every! position! in the book!

even the really awkward ones that you can’t quite figure out

“xav, it says i have to put my leg over here.”

sometimes he just gives up and you ride him or something lol

but overall, he’s very fun to be quarantined with, even though he complains a lot about having nothing to do
