randomly remembered about that one time my classmates & teachers made me a well wish/goodbye card before i left for germany in 10th grade (really really sweet) but my history teacher wrote "as the saying goes: "travel shapes youth". so, i hope you'll travel a lot".

Wait what happened with Maisie Peters

so she opened for taylor on night 7 of her london shows

she has this song where she basically mocks her ex who’s calling her to say hey wanna hang out and generally when she does it live she changed the lyric to fit. and this time she sang “i’m with taylor tonight”; and posted the vid of that on her tiktok (here’s a link)

and swifties saw that and a big big part of them took to hating on maisie publicly saying she can’t sing. which then migrated to other clips of her and basically all clips of maisie singing recently are flooded with swifties being really vile towards her and saying she has no talent, can’t sing, didn’t deserve it, bullshit like that

but as you hear in the video her voice only shakes a bit, she could’ve been nervous or excited to be saying that she’s opening for her idol (i mean she’s literally wearing original taylor merch from debut era). and also some people have also said it could be that she’s out of breath cuz the stage is so big and she’d ran across it beforehand

anyway it’s just such an annoying thing bc taylor has consistently talked about how society and the music industry breeds hate between female artists specifically and how it’s fucked and then. swifties do this.

I didn’t even tell you about how I sobbed on the phone to my mom the first morning when I told my “friend” who was with me that she hurt my feelings calling me naive and she told me I deserved it and “did I really want to ruin my own trip bc that’s what you are doing” Over the fact that I couldn’t figure out how to lock the sliding glass door of our room that was on a private, gated resort. Or when she made me rush to keep up with her on a hike/zip line tour causing me to hyperventilate and have a panic attack and cry and almost pass out bc again, hyperventilating, then I had to leave the hike halfway through (the tour guides were SO incredibly nice about it) and she asked if she could continue the rest of the hike without me bc she paid for it and wanted to get her moneys worth. I definitely don’t look at it as losing a friend, more like revealing an asshole for who they really are. Worst person on the face of the earth fr fr. Also btw this two things? They happened the same day. The 2nd day of a week long trip. It was an amazing trip and I made amazing memories but no thanks to her.
