Ami’s saved my behind more than a couple of times— I owe her, but uh, I’m not too sure on how to really pay her back, plus she always denies whatever I throw at her, insisting she doesn’t need it. She’s not good with her drink, so a good malt’s out the window and she’s pretty set in her ways with her weapons so I can’t get her something new… I’m at my wits end here…

reminder that taiya has known genba longer than anyone on the team. this was implied in the series and in the episode blogs, but was also shown in chapter three of the comic when genba notes taiya has a new informant, confirming that he already knew taiya prior. i think back to early episodes and recall that genba had a boonboom booster prior to getting his change axe. he also noted that he and taiya had prior conversations in which he turned down taiya's offers for him to fight as a boonboomger. genba has really been a part of this team the longest, he just didn't officially change until after the others (excluding sakito bc that's a separate thing that we don't have an exact timeline on).

Gosh, rewatching OUAT, I love what a cringefail loser Hook is. Man got Worf Effected straight out of the gate. He's introduced all cool and suave and capable, and he proceeds to be absolutely destroyed in every fight, ever. Good grief, he's 0 for 2 against Belle of all people; not to knock my girl Belle, but she's not what I would consider a front-line combatant.

What's the percentage breakdown of scenes ending with him being knocked out? 40%? What does his MRI look like? It can't be good. Did he become redeemed purely by the power of traumatic brain injury? How many times has this man been flung fully across a room? I think his ribs are dust held together by tenacity.

Day 11: Symbolism/Themes

Almost forgot to put these up today lol. They're both a bit older so they're not up to date on either Izz or Candor's designs, but all the symbolism is still relevant (and Izz can have whatever hairstyle they want, anyway).

Btw for reference for Izz's feeling (and the black heart in the song one), in the game setting they come from changelings have black blood, and even though they are no longer in the game, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna keep that. Also the amulet is a holy symbol and legendary magical item, only attunable by a cleric or paladin. When it's unattuned, it's clear, and becomes red when attuned. So that's representative of Izz taking on the oath of it's former wearer, and being accepted by that deity.

Also I'm pretty sure gas leaks don't actually have a smell, but honestly that still works. 'Something is wrong here, but you won't know until it blows up in your face.' (It's the repression)
