if you think about it. if you were just some random no-name cultivator who somehow got invited to the phoenix mountain night-hunt, and you heard something about 1. hanguang-jun of the sterling reputation, 2. wei wuxian the demonic cultivator already flouting social norms, and 3. a forced kiss....which would you believe? that lan wangji forcibly kissed wei wuxian? or that wei wuxian forcibly kissed lan wangji?

alright this one's a little different

its a thumbnail comic of a scene from a silly fic i have YET to write (but i have half of it plotted out/partially written). was a fun choreo exercise. additional context at bottom.

had to omit some plot details for simplicity's sake, but the basic premise is as follows:

"sort of crack taken seriously in that a freak weather event occurs in radiator springs. the green and white cars are just random tourists who lightning is helping evacuate. he's borrowed one of mater's towing cables… but alas he is not a tow truck. also i throw rocks at him! {he doesn't break his powertrain [axel] just a link arm + a few other suspension bits. it's to nerf him for later to let another character do a good deed in his place} {also he has the tow cable because he was closest to rescue the tourists but everyone got separated}"

the tourists also were NOT supposed to be out exploring carburetor country, there were weather warnings posted, but they lied and went anyways and lightning had to find and rescue them </3 (and then they get detoured and This happens</3)

Maybe the reason Jake is so "casual" about his parents being criminals and leaving him alone is nobody needs to know that the Golden Boy of the school has it rough because that would fuck with his reputation as the CoolRichAwesomeSpecial guy with a perfect life. Maybe it's framed comedically because he wants you (the audience and a hypothetical peer) to view it as a fun thing. Yeah they're running from the law so they're not gonna notice if I throw a rager on a school night, you comin' or what.

Maybe he's "casual" about Rich burning his house down because he has like 4 spoken lines in The Play and 3 in VIMH (depending on how you count them) and we don't know what his thoughts are on it because why would he talk about that with anyone when he's got a role to kill in Midsummer Nightmare with broken legs, like a badass. Because he's a badass. Don't feel sorry for him just look at how much of a badass he is. He's walking on broken legs because he can't feel pain. How cool is that. Tell him how cool he is.

He wasn't given much doylist development so I'm putting a watsonian spin on its absence. This is what we do with side characters.

um 🥹 . what happens next is that . we . um . we kiss . um and . and when we pull away from each other, i cradle his face in my hands and look at him in distress, “yao, i think we need to kill femi.” he nods slowly, a bit concerned, but still takes me in his organic arm and uses his bionic one to propel us out of his house and to femi's location (yes he breaks the roof in the process) (yes we are still half naked) (yes we time-skipped into your plane of existence). he sets me on my feet and i run and break down the door to your house and hold you at gunpoint. <- gun that shoots out heart-shaped bubbles (they will kill you from how cute they are). you grovel at my feet, tears in your eyes. “coco, it had to be done, there was no other way!” i don’t care anymore. i hold the barrel to your forehead and then... the scene cuts to black before anyone knows what happens next. christopher nolan style ambiguous ending. period exclamation mark justify paragraph save as pdf upload file. aaand submit.
