what's the difference between what wanda did to those people in wandavision and what tony did with ultron?

I have so many asks about this. Hate asks, and people wondering what’s going on. This is the only one I’m answering.

Both of them are responsible for their actions. I’ve seen people try and take away either Tony’s responsibility for that or Wanda’s engagement and accountability. 

In Tony’s case, the Ultron program was supposed to be a global peacekeeping program to protect the people, acting as a suit around the world to prevent events like the Battle of New York. He was doing it in the name of peace and safety. Tony was rightfully scared because he was the only one who knew what was coming. Wanda intentionally enhanced that fear in him and this drove him to create Ultron with Bruce. He has responsibility for it. Same as Bruce. He owns up to this, he took full responsibility and agreed that they needed to be regulated. 

Tony Stark: A few years ago, I almost lost her, so I trashed all my suits. Then, we had to mop up HYDRA... and then Ultron. My fault.

If people think he needs to be in jail for it, then I’m guessing the rest of the Avengers too since all of them have made mistakes and killed people too. It’s a big possibility that we don’t have all the info about what happened in Wandavision but we’re going to go with what we know so far. 

In Wanda’s case, she did it to appease her grief and pain, and I can understand why she would get to that point, she’s been through a lot and maybe she was about to lose her mind. Instead of recruiting Wanda after the Sokovia incident, they should’ve given this girl treatment for her mental health problems. She just lost her brother and passed through a very traumatic war zone, of course she needs assistance. Cap and Natasha were the ones responsible for her because they were training the ‘new’ avengers. Sam was with them and he used to be a counselor to veterans with PTSD. He could’ve helped Wanda with some of her traumas. As shown in the series, Wanda did the whole hex business before meeting Agatha, which means creating that little reality was all Wanda’s responsibility. Hayward and Agatha did exactly what Wanda did to Tony (and the avengers/other people) in AOU. They manipulated her and played with her emotional traumas. Hayward showed her Vision’s body parts and Agatha started to pull strings to know how Wanda did what she did and her real powers while orchestrating against her. 

Both of them have made mistakes. No one is better than the other. I don’t understand why some fans want to make someone responsible more than the other or blame one character for the other. While Wanda gave Tony that vision and pushed his self-destructive side to obsess over saving the world, he did create Ultron, what Tony didn’t predict was that the robot was going to corrupt itself. Same with Wanda, while Agatha and Hayward contributed to her trauma, she held hostage and isolated 3,892 people to create her perfect reality, ripping these people away from their identities and free will to fit her own fantasy. Don’t turn this into ‘omg poor her, it’s Tony fault that she’s this way'. I can’t believe I have to repeat this but you don’t see Peter Parker obsessively looking for the person who manufactured the gun instead of the criminal who actually killed Uncle Ben. Ridiculous that I have to repeat this example. 

Oh and about Vision’s body (damn yall have a gift to turn everything into Tony’s fault for some reason). I can’t believe some of you think Tony (while grieving for 5 years) would give Vision to Hayward. You’re either pulling stuff out of your asses or you didn’t pay attention to the show. Maria Rambeau founded and was the Director of S.W.O.R.D. In 2018 (when IW happened), this is where she came up with a new policy within S.W.O.R.D. to ground snapped agents in case they ever returned. Maria was diagnosed with cancer, then two years later (2020), she passed away. Then, Hayward was promoted to Director of S.W.O.R.D., in his first years (2020-2022) he refocused the organization’s work from extraterrestrial operations to robotics, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence, etc. There, that was the 5 years. Then in 2023 it’s when he started project Cataract, which revolved around rebuilding Vision as a sentient weapon. Tony was dead when this happened. How come yall don’t get this part? I don’t understand, do you really think his dead corpse signed some papers to give Vision to those people? LMAO

Instead of thinking Tony would give up Vision just like that, think (possibilities):

Maria was the head of S.W.O.R.D., she might have just been keeping his body safe without doing anything with him. Maybe she trusted Hayward and he, obviously, betrayed her because he’s turning her organization into something else after her death. 

One of the Sokovia Accords regulations states that the use of technology to bestow individuals (the term ‘enhanced individual’ in this book is defined as any person, human or otherwise, with superhuman capabilities) with innate capabilities is strictly regulated by the government, as is the use and distribution of highly advanced technology. Vision signed those accords ('I'm saying there may be a casualty. Our very strength invites challenge. Challenge incites conflict. And conflict... breeds catastrophe. Oversight...oversight is not an idea that can be dismissed out of hand’) The Avengers were no longer be a private organization and they operate under the supervision of the United Nations. This means they (UN) were the ones that referred Vision’s body to S.W.O.R.D., to a trustworthy leader, Maria. 

Vision died in Wakanda, not in New York. Tony was missing for 22 days after the snap, the rest of the avengers should’ve taken responsibility for his body.  

Why is it always Tony’s fault but never consider that other parties are also involved in this? 

I want to address some other asks with this one. I know some of you are angry because people are starting to blame Tony all over again, so a few things to remember:

Tony did not create the Accords. The Accords were the result of all the collective actions the Avengers have done in their superhero careers. All of them have made mistakes and the collateral damage of that was taken into consideration by the government and 117 countries around the world. He signed the accords because he knew that he could amend them with the support of the rest of the avengers and he knew about Thanos (something big was coming). 

Obadiah Stane (it’s so bizarre for me seeing that some people don’t know who this guy is, I’m guessing that the people who are watching Wandavision are too young to remember or didn’t watch the Iron Man movies at all which is highly probable) was the one selling weapons to the wrong people, not Tony. Obadiah was the CEO of Stark industries and became second-in-command for two decades. He grew jealous of Tony and began cooperating with the Ten Rings in Afghanistan, selling them Stark Industries weapons illegally. Imagine blaming all of it on Tony when Obadiah basically murdered thousands only because he felt a little green. If someone who you trust (he had no reasons to doubt Obadiah since he was like a second father-figure for him) does something behind your back (take into consideration that people like Pepper; who was Tony’s assistant and had knowledge of all of Tony’s activities and responsibilities, Rhodey; who was the liaison between the military in the department of acquisitions and Stark Industries, and Happy Hogan; who was his personal bodyguard and Head of Security of Stark Industries, didn’t know what Stane was doing either), how are you going to know about it? Tony trusted him. And when he realized what was going on he immediately stopped all of it. He worked hard to be better and people overlook that because they want other characters to look better. 

Don’t act like Tony was the only one assisting the military. All of the avengers assisted in one way or another. Natasha (who used to be an assassin) was in the Red Room, trained in the Black Widow Program in association with Leviathan and the Soviet Armed Forces, served for KGB, etc. Bruce Banner used to work for the United States government and was commissioned to create a super serum for them. Same goes with the rest, Sam, Clint, etc. Steve Rogers was a soldier lmaoooooooooooooo like, what happened to Tony with Obadiah happened to Steve with SHIELD/HYDRA in TWS. He trusted the people working in there (SHIELD), served for them, did missions for them and as soon as he found out what they were doing behind his back he turned against them. 

Knowing all of this, how is Tony always the villain for yall? I’m guessing because Tony’s popularity in the MCU, but still, aren’t yall tired of not understanding the plot and having people repeat it to you constantly? Watch the movies if you want to understand the franchise, people. Stop following the crowd. 

Also, Wanda is not a kid, she’s a 35 year old woman in Wandavision, she was 26 in AOU and 27 in CW. Hardly a child. Tony had almost her same age (38) when he realized Obadiah was selling illegal weaponry behind his back. The only reason people don’t fully forgive Tony is because 1. he’s a man and 2. he’s a billionaire. Even if Wanda was poor she still killed and hurt many people over the course of her life. Stop trying to make Tony the villain only to downplay Wanda’s actions. 

Both have killed people, both have made mistakes. They’re both responsible for them.

How do you think an INFP like me would fair in a relationship with an ENTJ like Dio?

Oh my... I have my own opinions on the INFP-ENTJ relationship. My analysis is under the cut! (It's pretty long, sorry!)

!Disclaimer! All types can get along as long as you're both healthy and mature! These are GENERALIZATIONS, so you may not relate to what is being said here and that's okay! Take MBTI compatibility with a grain of salt.

OKAY I'M JUST GONNA SAY IT. INFP-ENTJ ARE NOT THE BEST MATCH FOR EACH OTHER. I'm not trying to discourage any INFP or ENTJ from pursuing a relationship with the other at all! Or ruin your fantasy as Dio's darling! My relationship analysis posts are meant for people to better understand each other!

In the MBTI community, this pairing is falsely advertised a lot as the "best" pairing when there are flaws (like in any relationship).

ENTJ-INFP is a pedagogue couple. But theory ≠ reality all the time.

If you want the truth, irl, many ENTJs aren't romantically attracted to INFPs. That's not to say that all ENTJs don't like INFPs, cuz there are definitely some ENTJ-INFP couples out there!

Why they attract

Mixing in theory and irl data, an ENTJ will admire the INFP's authenticity. They'll like how INFPs stand up for their beliefs and values and aren't a sheep in a herd. ENTJs actually like it when someone can challenge them despite their domineering presence, and an INFP isn't one to shy away when they feel that their beliefs, values, and/or morals have been crossed. An INFP will admire the ENTJ's courage, strength, and leadership skills. Most INFPs report being awkward, lazy, and procrastinators. So when they see the ENTJ who has charisma, always gets their shit done, and is super goal-oriented, it's attractive to the INFP.

How it can work

This pairing is often cited as the best for both ENTJ and INFP because both can learn a lot from each other. It does make sense, theoretically, because an INFP's strength is an ENTJ's weakness and vice versa! Conversely, INFPs struggle with following through with day-to-day tasks because they have a tendency to be too idealistic and daydream a lot. The ENTJ will teach the INFP how to be more practical and efficient. They'll push the INFP to actually follow through with their plans and help them reach their goals!

The Ugly

Problems with this pairing are the obvious introvert vs extrovert conflict. INFP wants to stay home but the ENTJ wants to go out. Another is the feelings vs thinking dichotomy. INFPs will think the ENTJ is being too cold with their hard logic and may question if the ENTJ really loves them. The ENTJ may hurt the INFP's feelings because of their extremely blunt responses. On the other hand, the ENTJ may think that the INFP is too emotional and sensitive. They may cut the INFP off because they think everything they say will hurt/offend the INFP. Finally, not understanding/failing to meet each other's needs. The ENTJ demonstrates their love by providing constructive criticism because they value growth. They want the INFP to be the best version of themselves but do so by pointing out weaknesses and how to improve. ENTJs will expect their INFP to do the same for them as ENTJs are always looking for ways to improve themselves. INFPs will have to learn that the ENTJ is not antagonizing them and are coming from a good place. However, the INFP seeks emotional intimacy. They want their feelings validated and to be heard. Not to be told they're being too emotional or a crybaby. The ENTJ will really struggle to provide this for the INFP as they'll only give practical solutions for the INFP's emotional problems. ENTJs will struggle learning when to give advice and when to just shut up and listen.

Conclusion

Just imagine the rich, CEO asshole (ENTJ) meeting a cute, dreamy but also fierce stranger (INFP) who's the only one to ever challenge this dom daddy if you want a gist of this relationship dynamic. This can be a great relationship for both ENTJ and INFP. If healthy, they'll both grow to be their best! If unhealthy, a total nightmare.

This is from my Christmas / winter prompts !

Prompt: If you watch one more hallmark movie I’m pulling the plug on the TV

Warnings: this is a dumb warning but i talk abt the plot of some hallmark movies lol

Summary: you have to find some sort of pastime for when your husband is working. So it’s Hallmark. Glued to the couch all holiday season. Jumin hates when you swoon over those fictional men

You had December down like clockwork.

In the end of the year swing, C&R was constantly busy. They had to meet and surpass their yearly quotas. Your husband was always in meetings. This was the first time since getting married early that year that you had regretted your decision to become a stay-at-home housewife.

Jumin got ready for work at 6 am. His alarm went off at 5:50 so that he could wake up and get a few cuddles with you in bed before actually getting up. You woke up with him, planting kisses on his cheeks and asking for his daily itinerary and when you could expect him home for more cuddles. When he got up, you’d message the chef to start making him food. Jumin would tell you to stay in bed.

Jumin liked bringing you tea in bed in the mornings. Made him feel like the perfect husband. He’d get a kettle going as he got dressed and checked for any messages he may have gotten during the night. He’d deliver the tea to you, on a tray. You’d pour him a cup. He’d sit on the end of the bed and drink it. Talk about silly things.

He’d finish his cup, messaging Driver Kim he was ready for him. You’d tie his tie for him. He’d give you a goodbye kiss or two. He left by 6:45 am. You fell back asleep by 7 am, after Jumin messages you that he got to work safely.

You wake back up around 9. This time the chef brings up your breakfast. You’d lounge around in bed, answering emails for party guests, talking to the RFA, going on social media.

You were out of bed by 10:15, getting dressed, doing hair and/or makeup as you saw fit for the day. Jumin liked to lay out two outfits for you. If you didn’t want to wear either of them, that was fine. But if you did, it made him glow with pride.

You’d meet Jumin in his office for lunch together at 11. He’d tell you about the meeting he went to and Jaehee would sometimes come in and chat (which Jumin glared at her for doing). But primarily it was couples’ time. You liked to sit in silence, just enjoying each others’ company. At 11:30 you would head back to the penthouse.

And finally it was noon. Hallmark time. Since your husband worked long hours, you relied on the sexy Hallmark men to fill the void in your household. You laughed, you cried, you watched the same story over and over again but it was so special every time. As soon as Jumin got home, you’d turn off the movie and spend time with him, whether that be reading, cuddling, having dinner, going out somewhere; you let him choose. You didn’t feel the need to have a say. You already got to choose what you’d do throughout the day: Hallmark.

But one day Jumin got sick. Runny nose turned red from all the tissues he had been using, cups of tea gone through to help his sore throat. He was sick and absolutely unfit to go to the office. The schedule was messed up. He insisted he could take at least a half day, going in late and leaving early, and work from his home office. Okay. It was already 11. You’d just watch Hallmark when it came on.

Once the time came, Elizabeth the III sat on your lap (you were convinced she liked the movies too) and you cuddled up to watch the show.

Your phone rang. It was Jumin. You couldn’t pause the show.

You picked up regardless. “Hi Love. How are you feeling?” You asked.

He sniffled. “Bad. But I’m on my lunch break,” his tone brightened.

“...oh.” You hadn’t intended to say that aloud.

“Oh?”

“I’m watching a Hallmark movie with Elizabeth the III in the living room. Why don’t you come out here and eat with me?” Compromise. Elizabeth the III being on your lap meant you couldn’t possibly move.

“Okay! I’ll be right there.” He sounded cheery.

He came out of his office, a few tissues in hand, but a smile on his face. He had dark circles under his eyes. “You two look so cute,” he commented, walking over and taking a spot to sit next to you, wrapping his arms tight around you. He was always more clingy when he was sick.

“You’re so sweet Jumin. What do you say we ask the chef for some soup?” You kissed his cheek. He chuckled, which led to a coughing fit, then nodded.

“What’s happening in this Hallmark movie?”

“Oh!” You were only a half hour in, but you were excited to share the plot. “I’m so glad you asked. So this news reporter lady says she hates Christmas. And the ratings are bad because everyone thinks she sucks because of it. So the news station is sending her to a Christmas town to bring back her holiday cheer. She just got to the town,” you summarized. Kind of strange they were airing a movie from 2016, and one with Lori Loughlin at that (they had pretty much stopped showing her movies), but this was indeed a classic.

“Christmas town? Do those really exist?” Jumin asked curiously.

“I don’t know. Shh- this is the love interest!”

“He isn’t all that handsome,” Jumin commented. You glared at him. “What!? I’m just surprised they didn’t cater to their female audience more.”

“Jumin, my love. These stories are not just about the hot guys. They’re about the romance! The Christmas spirit! The holiday magic! If I just wanted one about hot guys I would watch the one with the firefighters.”

He seemed confused by your intense knowledge of hallmark movies. But! They were so good. You were so invested. And how dare he insult the love interest!

There was a knock on the door. The soup was brought over to the two of you on the couch. You thanked the staff and sent them off.

“I’m just confused about-“

“Shut up and eat your soup Jumin,” you teased. “Get ready to experience true romance.”

He didn’t experience much true romance in the half hour lunch break. But you had a great time with that movie.

Next up: A Christmas Detour. You loved Candace Cameron Bure! This time she was trying to get a flight to meet her fiancé’s parents before the wedding. But of course, her fiancée worked way too much for her to actually end out with him. This was Hallmark after all.

Jumin interrupted halfway through this one. His tie was off, his top button undone. “Baby?” He called to you, standing in the doorway of his office.

You rushed by his side. “What’s wrong?” You placed your hand to his forehead to feel his temperature. He was kind of warm. “Are you okay?”

“Will you make me some tea?” His voice was hoarse. You felt so bad that he was overworking himself even when he was sick. It was 3 by now; how long was he planning to work?

“Of course I will.” You kissed his cheek. “Why don’t you rest for a few minutes while I make it?”

He groaned, agreeing, and plopped down on the couch while you went off to the kitchen to make the tea.

“Why are the people different?” He called to you. He must be watching the Hallmark movie.

“Oh! It’s another one.” You got to work putting the kettle on and taking out the cream and sugar. You walked back to stand by him as you waited.

She finally made it to meet the parents! What an exhausting journey. Ew... they seemed kind of... stuck up. Rich. Filthy rich. Did they really ask her to go to the bathroom and make herself more presentable before they did introductions? How terrible.

“They always make the rich people seem like bad guys,” Jumin grumbled.

You sat down on the arm of the sofa, leaning into him, running a hand through his hair. “Actually, there are some where the girl ends up with the CEO.”

“Her current boyfriend that she leaves is usually the CEO though.” Had he been paying attention to these movies? How did he know this?

“Well... that’s only the ones who work way too much and are like zero fun at all. Then she falls for the local guy,” you explained.

He turned to look at you, eyes all red and watery. “Do I work way too much?”

“No.” You gently placed a kiss to his lips. “You are nothing like those jerks.” The tea kettle whistled; you got up to go get it. “If local homebody was my type, I would have gone for Zen, not you,” you called over your shoulder.

You hadn’t realized he had followed you until his arms wrapped around you as you took the tea off. “Zen’s not your type,” he whispered, his voice a bit deeper than usual. Was he... jealous? You were literally his wife.

“I know,” you turned to face him. “You’re my type. I’m quite literally married to you.” You broke out into a smile, reminding yourself of that fact. Your smile was apparently contagious, because he did the same.

“You never considered dating him though... right?”

“Zen?” You poured the tea in the cup.

“Zen.” His voice was steely.

You giggled. “Of course not. Zen is literally dating himself all the time. I was attracted to you because of how different you are from the others in fact.”

That had convinced him. His face softened. You handed him his tea. “Exactly to your liking,” you smiled.

“I love you. I’ve got two more meetings then I’m all done.” He kissed your cheek then made his way back to the office. Time for more Hallmark.

That movie had ended. “A Christmas Love Story” was now on. These two meetings must have been long.

And finally. Finally. He came out. Collapsed onto the couch. You glanced at him and smiled. Then back at the tv. Things were getting tense in the movie!!

“I’m done,” he whispered, a lazy smile on his face as he looked at you.

You glanced at him again. “Yay. I’m so proud of you Honey.”

“Another Hallmark movie?” He sighed.

“This is what I do all day when you’re at work,” you informed him, giggling.

“But I’m not at work. I’m home now.” He scooted closer to you.

“But! I’m in the middle of it. The guest choir director just found out the kid who is getting a solo is her son that she put up for adoption! That’s insane.”

His arms wrapped around you, one hand lingering towards the remote.

“Jumin don’t turn it off!” You whined. He snatched the remote and moved away from you. “Nooooo!”

“Can’t we just cuddle and take a nap? I still don’t feel good.” His finger was hovering over the off button. NO

“Jumin, Baby, please, please, no.” You inched closer to him. “I’m begging you. Please. I need to know what happens.”

“She gets with the love interest and everything ends happily,” he stated simply.

“I need the details! Please!!! I’ll do anything!”

That got his attention.

He quirked an eyebrow. “Anything?”

“Oh get your mind out of the gutter. You’re sick.” You rolled your eyes. Still, you were planning how to get the remote back.

“What about when I’m not sick? Can I cash it in then?” He had the widest smirk on his face. Sometimes you just hated your husband.

“Yes! God, yes Jumin fine. Please! Be quiet and let me watch this in peace!”

He set down the remote. You were safe.

“Fine. But if you watch one more hallmark movie I’m pulling the plug on the TV.”

You laughed at that. Of course you wouldn’t. You just wanted to watch this one, then he’d have your attention.

“Cuddles?” He asked. He was pitiful. You loved your sick husband oh so much though.

You sighed, pretending like it was an impossible hassle, but your smile gave it away. “Yes. Cuddles are okay.”

He triumphantly laid down, resting his head on your lap, grabbing onto your hand. You might’ve watched Hallmark for the rest of the night, but he was watching something much better: you.

So we all know by now that BTS didn’t win in the category that they were nominated for in the Grammys. I’m just gonna type out everything thats been on my mind about the whole situation with no proper type of format just plain thoughts coming from the mind of Theresa Claire.

Let me just start off, I’m not going to bash on Lady Gaga or Ariana Grande. I love both their music. I love ariana. But yeah, my but will come after this. Also let me just say, I’ve known the Grammys were shit for time. LOL like macklemore winning best rap album over good kid m.A.A.d city. ALSO my first Grammy heartbreak, during my early fangirl days, with how Jonas Brothers didn’t win Best New Artist. Also, how T.S got nominated for the biggest categories and her albums were, in my opinion, boring. BASH ME ALL YOU WANT ABOUT IT CAUSE WHATEVER. I KNOW HOW TO IGNORE. 

okay, BTSxGrammys rant start now: First let me just say that I came out of the ARMY closet not too long ago (Quarantine ARMY?) and I immediately fell for these 7 boys from South Korea. Like don’t get me wrong, I’ve always admired them (i had too much to fangirl over too. it was overwhelming when i fell in love with DNA and the boy with the cute dimple) and I always caught myself wanting to watch their North American performances on TV. I’ve even debated on going to their Hamilton show, but at that time, the tickets were almost triple the price. I’ve also debated on going to the Toronto Show, but for personal reasons i didn’t have the money for a level 500 ticket. Basically these boys are literally giving me life. As an Asian, I am soooooo honoured to finally see a predominately Asian Act in the media. I have so much respect for them on how they still want to stick to making songs in Korean and had a goal of being on Billboard Hot 100 with a Korean song. Like I may not understand Korean but that’s pretty badass. In 2020/2021 we minorities want to live in a world where we want to see colour. We want to see more than the colour white. We want to see more People of Colour FLOURISH in what they do and not be criticized just because your typical person can’t understand them cause they don’t speak English. Like you can read, there’s always translations by the beautiful ARMY who takes time to edit and translate Korean.

Next, the fucking Grammys used BTS for clout and its fucking disgusting. They used their name SO much for Grammy promotions and you know what they did? Made them wake up and start their day at 3am just to get ready to watch that shitshow of a preshow for them to not win. Like they were the only ones from that category that was on call. Like why wasn’t the other artists even on?It’s like they wanted BTS to get ready for them to post on social media to make ARMY watch. Next rant will cover how pissed i am about them not winning. THE FACT the boys assured ARMY that it’s okay, there’s always next year, and that they’ll work harder to win next time actually hurts. It takes a lot to say things like that for your fans when you know inside yourself, you’re heartbroken. The Grammys also fucking put their performance next to last. THE FACT THAT BTS DIDN’T KNOW THEMSELVES ALSO FUCKS WITH ME. On the vlive after the show, Namjoon even said that he didn’t know when they would play their performance. Like what? I don’t work in the business but does that really happen? Like when you’re a performer, you know when you will be performing. But is it cause they weren’t there and they knew that during the preshow, after they lost their views dropped from 1.2M to like 400k? So they just wanted to use ARMY for clout. ALSO i didn’t quite catch it but apparently THEY DIDN’T EVEN MENTION THEY WERE A NOMINATED GROUP. LIKE WHAT? Like i get it, they didn’t win. I get it, the category wasn’t in the main show. But excuse me? what? How could you just do that?  I watched that whole fucking show for BTS (and beyonce and Harry) and I was okay with waiting for the other performers to be on youtube but nah, i actually watched it in hopes of BTS to perform after. BUT no. They performed next to last. Like show me the stats and numbers of the viewers before and after BTS performed. 

Next, how they lost best duo/group PERFORMANCE. I need more of a description as to what they mean by Performance in this category. But since i don’t have the Grammy definition of best Performance, i’m just gonna say what i want to say.  HOW DID DYNAMITE NOT WIN FOR BEST PERFORMANCE?! LIKE HOOOOWWWWW?!?! ALL THE DYNAMITE PERFORMANCES ARE FUCKING AMAZING!! Like yes, they performed it so many times BUT EVERYTIME IT’S JUST DIFFERENT AND NEW AND AMAZING. Please watch a ROM performance and then watch ANY dynamite performance. What artistry, performance, production, etc do you want? Cause BTS fucking smoked it. 

Next point, Dynamite has been smashing records, views, sales, etc and made history. Dynamite has achieved SO MUCH in the span of like 6 months compared to other songs. So it was no question as to if BTS was going to get nominated. But it bothers me when people say its not based on that. But they’re the same people who were mad that the Weeknd wasn’t nominated and used the same facts for his songs. Don’t get me wrong, I love his songs and I’m even mad that he wasn’t nominated as well.

Basically the whole time watching the grammys, all i thought was the fuckinngggg nerve the academy and/or CBS had pushing BTS’ performance near end. Like the fucking nerve these people had to gain views for their messed up show. Like the neeerrrrvveeee! Ugh it made me so angry the whole show. Like i wasn’t even invested in it anymore all because of the wait for BTS. The nerve they also had putting in a segment with that CEO or whoever that dude is saying they’re pushing for more diversity, poc,etc was all bullshit. You’re trash. The grammys were trash. BTS will conquer the world. Grammys needed BTS. Congratulations to the Grammys for getting BTS to perform! wow. bUT DAMN, yall fucked up and made way more people angry

"Hear me out though!” I chuckled as Johnny pulled a pained, slightly amused face. “Listen, I don’t care if you already bought two sky diving tickets! I’ll say it cleary, I am afraid of heights, there is no way I’m doing that.”

I chuckled at this ironically tall buffoon and tread after him and his long legs, “But oppppppppaaaa, remember, you loooove me.”

My older brother made a sound, “Die with your love.”

I pulled my head back and chuckled, “Wow, okay, violent, uhmmmmm.”

Johnny laughed and slowed his paces down. He turned to me and huffed, I nudged him on his shoulder. “Oh, come on, you know you want to.”

“We’ll see how much I want to after you buy my lunch,” Johnny spoke.

“Ooooh, bribery,” I grinned and fiddled with my fingers, “I’m down. What did you want?”

“Oh, no, no, no, the key is finding something that I want, then, then we talk.”

I laughed at the challenge proposed by my brother. “Okay, deal.” I outstretched my arm and we shook hands.

The two of us then strut down the large lobby of this hundred floor building our father owned, ready to head on out for some grub. 

At this point in time, Johnny was about to become the CEO... but we all know he doesn’t because of his car crash...

“Mr. Seo,” a voice called from a far corner. Then there emerged a man in a suit similar to my brother. He had a milky white complexion and bright eyes. When he flashed a smile, my heart skipped and my lips mimicked.

Johnny slowed down not one bit and it made it clear to me that this man was simply an underdog looking to buy some of his time. And so I caught my brother’s arm and raised my brows. He turned to me and did the same. I then shrugged and pursed my lips.

Lucky for the man though, he caught up with us before we could exit.

He airily called for my brother again, and this point, Johnny finally noticed him, or rather, finally stopped ignoring him.

“Name?” Johnny blurted, turning to the dimpled man who smiled brightly in relief.

“Jung Jaehyun,” he nodded, “we spoke on the phone, about the expansion.”

For a moment, Johnny looked clueless, up until a light bulb flashed over his head. He begins to chuckle, “Ahhhh, I remember.” Johnny chuckles, “You have such a shocking proposal, Mr. Jung.”

Mr. Jung faintly smiles, “May I offer you to talk about this matter over some lunch?”

“Ah, it’s not me you should entice,” Johnny turned to me, “but who I already have plans with.”

My brows quirked up at Johnny’s words and the man turns to me. I purse my lips and hold out a hand for him to shake, introducing myself.

“Ah, Mrs. Seo--”

“Ani. Ms., Ms. Seo, his sister.” I corrected. Johnny looked at me, a grin forming on his lips. He knew full well my selfishness with his work and how I would readily reject this man. I cleared my throat, “What you want to talk about must be important, but... I have not met with my brother in months, so please  understand.”

Mr. Jung’s jaw slacks, “Ah... ye. I’m sorry. Surely family comes first before work matters. I mean, we work for our family, right?”

My lips curve into a smile at his words and Johnny pats his shoulder, mumbling something about calling him later. As my brother and I make our way to his car, I turn to Johnny fondly, “He’s nice. I like him. Make sure to really call him, oppa.”

Johnny whipped his head to look in my direction, as if I just stole a year of his life, “Ya! What do you mean you like him?”

I rolled my eyes and got into his car. He followed. “I just like the fact he has filial piety.”

Johnny scoffs, “You think he’s cute?”

I chuckle, “Yes, but I think you’re cute too.” I tease, moving to pinch his cheeks. He scolds me in annoyance and starts his car after securing his seat belt. I fasten mine as well.

“Stay away from him,” he says lowly, “I won’t approve.”

I chuckle, “Ye, ye.”

"That's how you met your husband?" Ten scoffed at the story I spoke. His wife however had the exact different reaction.

"No, no, no, don't tell me. After that you end up meeting at some some coffee shop near your brother's building and end up having lunch together." Ten says with a sour expression as he feeds his daughter some more baby food.

His wife clicks his tongue at him and Ten shrugs.

A small hand tugs on my shirt, "Can I mwake moor chowate sanwishes?" my son asks, chocolate spread marking his chin and cheeks. I chuckle at him and nod, picking up a tissue and wiping his face.

"What about Jungwoo? How’d ya meet him?" the woman asked, placing a watermelon in her mouth.

"I already told you how I met him, babe." I spoke, making Ten snap at me because of the pet name. I laughed at his cutely jealous reaction.

"Oh, ye, ye." the woman nodded. She clapped her hands. "How did you end up together then? With Jaehyun, I mean."

I breathed in deeply, turning to the blue sky above me. 

Honestly, I am so thankful that I the world allowed me to have these two as my landlord. If they hadn't been here with me all this time, I would've probably caved and gone crazy.

I turned to my baby boy, happily sitting on a picnic mat, victoriously munching on the slices of bread he assembled, looking out to the fields of green grass before him. He doesn't deserve that kind of pain, having a mad mother.

"It was at an auction. Jaehyun bought the painting I wanted at an unimaginably high price." I spoke. 

Ten clicked his tongue. "What a waste of money."

His wife gave him another look.

"Honestly, I agree," I offered, "he tried to be romantic by buying it then giving it to me, obviously in exchange for a date. But all I thought of him was haughty at that point. I only agreed because, well, I was getting such a beautiful painting at such a cheap price."

"Pah, it still worked though," Ten pointed, "you ended up marrying him anyway."

"Yes, but obviously, it wasn't the painting!" the woman yet again scolded his husband.

I chuckled, "It's not."

"You're as impressive as you are beautiful," the man spoke smoothly, dimples showing. I broke into a bubbly laugh, "Wahhh, that's not very much. But I'm sure it worked on all the ladies."

We continued walking on the damp sidewalk; the rain that has passed made it glisten, similar to the stars out at this moment. I slightly jump as a few raindrops fall on my head as we pass a tree. The man beside me laughs.

"Wow,” I turn to the man who chuckled at me, “how gentlemanly of you, Jung Jaehyun."

"No," he speaks firmly, grabbing my wrist. I look at him, heart fluttering, not caring as to why his reply was such, and confusing. Jaehyun smiles widely, "you are beautiful, Ms. Seo."

My breath gets caught in my throat. 

"Are you afraid of calling me by my name?" I speak lowly. 

It'd been nearly a month since the day he bribed me out on a date, and I was drastically slipping on this slippery slope to his heart. Yet, he has never called me anything but miss Seo. It slightly worries me.

"I am not afraid of anything," he says and I want to scoff but he continues, "except maybe losing what we have made in this month..." Jaehyun trails off. My hear pounds when he ends his words by speaking my name.

"Mr. Jung," a foreign voice calls for far behind me. I turn around and see that there was an old man that came out from Jaehyun's building, the one we were currently in front of.

I move to pull my hand away from Jaehyun's, but he tightens his grip which lands on my palms. I turn from his fingers to his eyes, his expression was no longer the same. He gently pulls me behind him.

"It's late Mr. Moon, you should be at home," Jaehyun speaks clearly.

The said man clears his throat and moves closer to us, "The vice president said you went home."

"Taeyong wasn't lying," he said, voice mixed with annoyance and slight anger, "I am on my way."

I wasn't the only one who noticed this. Mr. Moon lets out a sigh, "Mr. Jung, please rethink their offer--" "I already told you what I think about their lowly offer." Jaehyun scoffs. "Don't speak to me again outside my office."

With that, Jaehyun stormed away, pulling me along with him.

He brought me to his car and I sat in the front seat. I turned to Jaehyun as he started his Lambourghini, "Why do you do that?"

"Do what, sweetheart?"

I was taken aback by the sudden pet name he used. My breath hitched and it was audible enough that he turned to me. Jaehyun smiled.

"Act cold to everyone?"

He placed one hand on the wheel and another on the gear stick. He released a chuckle, "Don't you think that it's the other way around?"

"Jungwoo!" Ten's wife spoke, "tell me about him."

"Ya, you are so nosy." Ten scolded this time around.

"Wae! I can ask what I want!" she raised her voice then turned to me, "but you only have to answer the same way.” 

I chuckled at her expression and it was then that her baby started giggling at the faces her father was pulling.

"He was my happy pill. He brightened my day whenever I felt like I was on the brink."

"I fucking told you, Jungwoo," I snarled, shoving him away, "I don't want to fucking go ice skating."

Why couldn't he take a hint? I didn't even want to see him today because I had seen Jaehyun being flirted with by some young woman in his office. I was bringing him lunch, but all that went into the trash, literally, I dumped it in the trash.

Now I was in a horrible mood.

Jungwoo called me and said he wanted to take me somewhere. I refused, telling him why, but he insisted, saying he could cheer me up. And now just as I knew I would, I was now taking out my anger on him.

I expect him to lash out on me at this point, but instead he chuckled and cooed, "Ah, baby, you're so cute when you're angry." Jungwoo took my hand and pulled me with me, "Kaja, the rink awaits."

The next thing I knew, I was on the ice, latching on Jungwoo for dear life, "Ah, you didn't tell me you sucked at ice skating."

I growled, "Why do you think I didn't wan to fu--" "Ah, ah, ah," Jungwoo pulled way from me, "You want me to pull away?"

"No, you asshat!" I called, gripping him tighter.

"But I will if you don't clean your potty mouth."

I huffed but complied, "Please don't let me go."

Jungwoo blinked rapidly, lips twitching, breath hitching. "Please, what?"

My brows knit quizzically, "Please... sir?"

Jungwoo threw his head back and pulled me slowly into his arms, "Baby," he spoke airily, peering down at me, "I'm not that kinky." 

He smiled, and pushed hair behind my ear. He then caressed my cheeks and licked his lips, "Jungwoo. Kim Jungwoo. Remember my name."

"Okay, come on," Ten said, carrying Autumn in his arms, "Time to go home."

I turned to my son who was tumbling in the grass nearby and called him. "Come on. Picnic time is over!"

He turned to me smiling widely, "I had swo mwuch fun! Can we pwicnwic toime again?"

I walked over to him and brought him into my arms. "Of course baby, anything for you."

"Can we bwing appa next toime?"

I froze where I stood and turned to my child. He looked at me with his big eyes and my heart started to hurt.

"Maybe."

He took my words gleefully.

After cleaning up, we went into the car, and drove back home, to our noodle place.

"Oh, look, it's only eight am! It looks like we have to won't open late today." the woman in the front seat beamed. "Ah, I'm excited to cook some ramyeon."

"Darling, you always cook ramyeon. Everyday, to be exact."

"Yes, but why would I tire if it's something I love to do?"

"Tell me, why would I get tired of helping you?" Jungwoo muttered softly, crushing me against his chest. I poured my tears out against his shirt, feeling my neck get pressed on by guilt.

"I'm crying to you over another man, my husband, your rival."

Jungwoo stayed silent for a moment, and at this point, I felt scared, that maybe he realized the weight of my words and would pull away. And when he did, I started to shiver. He spoke my name and I looked up at him.

"Why would I tire of you when I am so helplessly in love with you?"

My heart stopped for a second and then beat like a hummingbird.

Jungwoo wiped a tear rolling on my cheek and looked at me in the soft expression he always did. He let out a soft chuckle and examined my face, "I have seen you at your worst, when you're red in the face, puffy eyed, and runny nosed."

I turned away from him and attempted to turn away. He held me in place and took my chin, moving my head to look at his. Tears welled in my eyes at the sight of his sweet smile.

"Jungwoo--"

"Don't say anything if you're trying to change my mind." he said. "Whatever it is you are facing, I will be here to face with you. And in the same way, I hope to face every other thing you will in the future."

When we arrived at the shop, I helped my son get down from the car. He hopped off cheerfully and turned to me with a smile. I smiled back at him. He moved to go inside, up until he stopped and shouted, "Appa!"

My heart dropped.

The boy ran off inside and I quickly followed after. I called his name as he rushed inside. And just as the boy said, there stood a man there, face wet with tears, eye red.

The boy ran to him and wrapped his arms around his legs, "Appa! Did you cwome for pwicnwic toime?"

The man looked down at the child and I gulped, "What are you doing here?"

"I-" his voice cracked and then he crouched down to the floor, looking the boy in the eyes. The younger version of the that teary eyed, suit clad man, smiled and introduced himself. He then raised his small hands and wiped away the tears streaming down from his face. "Do you haw a booboo?"

The older man let out a chuckle and turned away from the boy, standing up.

"Is he... mine?"

"Of course he is. Would I lie to my own son?"

The man took a step back and knit his brows, "How do you know?

"The same way you're here. It's in your bones... you feel it." I spoke. The boy pouted and tugged the man's jacket, "I can help wiv booboos."

The small person was unmistakenly his, even if he couldn't believe my words. Anyone can see that my son had his father's eyes, nose, and lips.

"If you had known, why did you leave?" he said, voice slightly angry. "Why didn't you go to me?" he added, softly.

"I didn't know I was pregnant, until I was already so far out of reach. And when I did, I figured you don't deserve the trouble."

"Trouble?! He's my son!" he raised his voice. "He's the son of the woman I love... how... how could you think that?"

"I also figured," a tear fell from my eyes, "that if it wasn't trouble, you'd find us, because that's who you are... and I have never stopped loving you."

It was Saturday and Rhys was panicking. He had no idea why he thought that he would be able to pull this off. When Rhys told Yvette about the dinner party she had given him a bunch of recipes that were “sure to impress” as she put it. He had assured her he could handle i himself but problem was, it was apparently very hard to mess up a recipe. Who knew?

The doorbell rang and Rhys froze in fear. What the heck? No one was supposed to be here for at least another three hours! Rhys ran to the door and looked through the peephole. “Oh thank god.” He muttered as he opened the door to reveal Zer0.

“You look very stressed.” Zer0 commented as they walked inside the apartment carrying a bag filled with bottles of wine that Rhys had asked them to buy.

“Thanks.” Rhys grabbed the bottles from them and placed it on the table.

“How is your cooking going?” Zer0 questioned as they followed him into the kitchen. Long story short, it was a war zone. “. . . Not well I assume.”

“This is a nightmare! Why did I think that a dinner party would be a good idea anyway!?” Zer0 raised a finger to speak. “Don’t you dare say I told you so.” Zer0 immediately dropped the finger. Instead, they walked over to the counter and looked at the recipes.

“Were you planning on / making all of these dishes?”

“Yeah.”

“Rhys. . .” [ಠ_ಠ]

“Ugh I know! I’m an overachiever and I’m bad at it.” Rhys looked at Zer0 with a pouty face. “Help? Please?”

Zer0 shook their head, essentially their version of rolling their eyes. They look over the recipies again. They were definitely a bit complicated. Zer0 wasn’t much of a cook but they were still significantly better than Rhys. Still, these were a bit challenging even for them. Charred skag with sweet potatoes and oranges? Roasted pumpkin, Marjoram and Blue Cheese Frittata? What even was a Marjoram? Zer0 turned towards Rhys again looking just as confused as he was. [¯\_(ツ)_/¯]

“Zer0!!!”

“”Here’s a suggestion. / Have you tried calling Yvette? / She’ll probably help.”

Rhys shook his head. “Absolutely not! I have to at least be able to prove that I can do something by myself. Now help me cut these sweet potatoes.”

Zer0 wondered if Rhys realized the irony of this situation. Probably not. “Give me a moment.” With that Zer0 disappeared into the bathroom. They brought up their Ech0 and looked through their contacts. They were sure they had her number in here somewhere- ah there it was, Yvette. They gave her a call hoping that she would pick up.

“Okay who is this and how did you get this number-” She paused. “Zer0!?”

Zer0 wondered why Yvette didn’t have their number, but then they remembered they stole it from Rhys that one time.

“Good evening Yvette.”

“Um hi? How did you even get this- you know what it doesn’t matter. Um, what do you need?”

“Sorry for the short notice. / Could you come early?”

Yvette raised her eyebrow. “Like right now? I mean I suppose I could just bring my stuff and get ready there, any particular reason though?”

“Rhys is in over / his head with cooking. He could / use some assistance.”

Yvette groaned and slapped a hand to her forehead. “I told him I could give him easier recipes if he wanted but he insisted on the harder ones. I knew I shouldn’t have listened to him but I figured it would be funny to watch him stumble over himself a bit.” She said with a laugh. “I could come over and help salvage whatever mess he has made, but what would be in it for me?” She asked.

Zer0 thought about threatening her for a moment, but according to Maya that was not how people traditionally bonded with each other. They would need to try another approach. “As compensation / for your assistance how is / A favor owed then? “

Yvette sighed. “Rhys owes me plenty of favors alread-”

“No, not from Rhys. I’ll / owe you the favor myself. “

Yvette looked surprised. “Wait seriously?”

Zer0 nodded. “Do we have a deal?”

Yvette smiled from the other line. “I’ll be there in ten. Make sure to do some damage control okay? The less ingredients Rhys wastes the better.”

Zer0 displayed [TNKS] before hanging up. They returned to the kitchen to see how Rhys was progressing only to see the kitchen filled with smoke. [!!!] They ran over to the stove and saw the culprit was a pan filled with oil burning. They quickly turned the burner off and moved the burning into the sink and turned on the cold water. It generated a lot of steam but that was much better than smoke in their opinion. Zer0 immediately turned towards Rhys who had been previously started cutting sweet potatoes but was now staring at Zer0. “Hey! That was heating!”

“It almost caught on fire.” [ಠ_ಠ]. Rhys tilted his head in confusion and Zer0 gestured to the smoke.

“Oh.” Rhys muttered dumbly. “I guess I didn’t notice.”

“How about you rest? / I can take over a bit.” Zer0 suggested, opening a few windows to let the smoke out.

Rhys frowned. “No, that wouldn’t be fair. This was my dumb idea after all.” Rhys sighed as he sat down in one of the dining rooms chairs. “Ugh this whole dinner party is going to be a disaster, I don’t know what I was thinking. I just- I just wanted everyone to like each other. I want your friends to like me, and I want my friends to like you. But how are we going to have a dinner party without dinner.”

Zer0 walked behind Rhys and wrapped their arms around his shoulder. “We still have a few hours. I think it will all work out in the end.”

“I don’t know Zer0.” Rhys sighed. “I am really in over my head this time.” As if on cue there was a knock on the door. Rhys jumped. “Who could be here so early!?”

Zer0 let go of Rhys and walked toward the door. “I will answer it.”

Opening the door revealed Yvette. She had a garment bag and a box in her hand. “Evening you two.” She greeted walking in and dropping her items onto a chair. She looked around the kitchen. “Well it’s not a complete disaster.” She sniffed the air a bit. “Rhys did you start a fire?”

“No! I almost did but I didn’t actually do it. What are you even doing here?”

Yvette rolled her eyes. “Zer0 called me. If you needed help you could have contacted me sooner. Or you know, chosen something easier?”

Rhys gave Zer0 an accusatory look. “You called Yvette?”

“You were depressing to watch.” [ :) ]

Rhys frowned at their datefriend. Yvette walked over to Rhys and urged him to stand up. “Rhys, your stressed. Why don’t you go start getting ready? Zer0 and I can take it from here.” Rhys seemed hesitant. “Go on now. I know it takes you forever to get ready. Plus it will give Zer0 and I a chance to get to know each other.” She gave them both a mischievous smile.

Rhys looked at Zer0 wearily and Zer0 was beginning to regret their decision to invite Yvette for help. They had fallen for the oldest trick in the book: Divide and Conquer. Not only to Yvette get a favor from a vault hunter out of this, but now with Rhys out of the picture she could prod Zer0 for all the questions she wanted. Rhys could always stay, but he honestly didn’t want to be here for this. Yvette walked towards the kitchen and Rhys quickly mouthed an “I’m sorry” to Zer0 before disappearing into the bathroom.

‘Traitor.’ Zer0 thought to themself as they followed Yvette into the kitchen.

“Alright Zer0 start off but cutting these vegetables for me.” Yvette stated handing a bunch of miscellaneous produce to Zer0 before seasoning and beginning prep for the meat based dishes. The two worked in relative silence for about 15 minutes, the only sound being the occasional orders Yvette gave.

Yvette put one of the casseroles Rhys was adamant about including in the oven. “So you and Rhys huh? Gotta say that’s not a combination I saw coming.” Zer0 remained silent. “What cat got your tongue?”

Zer0 tilted their head. “Unlikely. We do / not own a cat or any / animal right now.”

Yvette raised an eyebrow. “That is actually-”

“An expression. I / know. I was attempting a joke.” “Oh.” Yvette muttered.

Another wave of silence. This was awkward.

“You know I’m not going to grill you or anything if that’s what you are worried about.”

Zer0 stayed quiet for a moment. “You aren’t?” They asked, breaking haiku

“Nope. You are going to get enough of that from Sasha and Fiona trust me. Plus, I don’t want to make you repeat any questions.” Yvette said with a grin.

“Oh.” Zer0 sighed.

“I just-” Yvette paused for a moment walking to a cutting board and cutting up some spring onions. “I trust Rhys to make his own decisions, I do. He wouldn’t be dating you if he didn’t trust you. I think that’s what we are mostly worried about. You have this reputation as this cutthroat killer who will do anything to complete a mission. And I mean, Rhys is this big time CEO now. For all we know you could be getting closer to him just to. . .well. . . . “ She trailed off.

Zer0 knew what she was getting at and they didn’t like the insinuation. “I care about Rhys. / I wouldn’t-”

“But that’s the thing.” Yvette interrupted. “We don’t know that for sure because we don’t know you. You could sit here all day and tell me that you would never hurt Rhys because you love him or whatever but for all I know you could be a liar. I want to trust in Rhys, that he wouldn’t date anyone who had any intentions of hurting him but. . .” She paused her cutting for a moment. “Look Rhys doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to trust. He’s put full trust in me, Fiona, Sasha and Vaughn. With all the things we’ve been through we’ve all at least thought of betraying him at one point. Hell, some of us have. Yet he still forgave us and trusts us completely. Rhys may act like a complete douchebag sometimes but at the heart of it he’s probably the best of us. If you ever did hurt him he’d probably end up forgiving you in the end. That’s just who he is. I know me of all people have no right to say this but we just want to make sure your intentions are pure.”

Zer0 had a slight idea of what she was saying. Rhys didn’t talk much about what went on during the Gortys project, he always got weirdly defensive about it. He did briefly mention the details of Yvette’s betrayal. There was a part of them that wanted to rub it in, that they would never do something like she did to Rhys. However, a greater part of them respected her for this. Zer0 had no intention of hurting Rhys or his friends, but they had to admit it took a lot of guts to question a supposed ‘cutthroat killer’ they was she was currently.

“Oh, i’m also going to say this now because I know no one else will be brave enough to do it themselves.” With that she took the knife she was holding and slammed it hard into the wooden cutting board. “I don’t care how many times Rhys is willing to forgive you, if you hurt Rhys even once, you’ll regret it. You may be some big bad assassin who could probably kill me in seconds but trust me, I have my ways Zer0. Got it?” Yep, definitely a lot of guts. Zer0 didn’t want to call it so early, but Yvette might be their favorite. “Understood.” [ :) ]

Yvette and Zer0 continued to cook together making mild chatter. Yvette told Zer0 a few embarrassing stories about Rhys that they were definitely going to memorize so they could tease him with them later.

It was getting closer to the start time, the guests would be arriving any minute. Rhys came out, fully dressed. He wore a light blue dress shirt with tiny white stars all over the front. On top of the dress shirt was a black wool vest paired with black tailored pants. “How do I look?” He asked using his, as his friends called it, ‘handsome jack tone.’

“I’m just glad you aren’t wearing a tie that goes into your pants.” Yvette said, her and Zer0 sharing a laugh.

Rhys huffed. “Oh ha ha very funny.”

“You look amazing.” [ :) ] Zer0 complimented, causing Rhys face to heat up a bit.

“Alright I’m going to leave you two love birds to change.” She grabbed the garment bag and the box she had previously placed on the table and disappeared into the bathroom.

Rhys raised an eyebrow at Zer0. “Um, aren’t you going to get dressed?”

[ ? ] “I am dressed.”

“Oh. So you are wearing your normal suit.”

He pulled out a clip on bowtie that matched his under shirt. “Here put this on!”

“No.”

“Please? For me?” Rhys brought out his secret weapon: the puppy eyes.

[ . . . ] They snatched the bowtie from Rhys hands and clipped it to the front of their suit. They were clearly unhappy with it, but Rhys seemed ecstatic. “Look at us, one of those cheesy couples who match our clothes with each other. Maybe we can buy matching sweaters” Rhys snorted.

“I will take it off.” [>:(]

“I’m joking!” He yelled in protest. Just then, the door knocked. Rhys instantly looked tense again.

Zer0 sighed and tapped him on the shoulder. “It will be fine no need to / worry. We’ll do great.”

Rhys nodded. “Yeah you’re right. And also uh, thanks for indulging me. I know this is stupid and I blow things out of proportion sometimes but I really appreciate this.” With that he gave Zer0 a quick kiss to the front of their helmet before going to the door to open it.

“Hey Alexa,” you called out to the amazon.com robot, staring Barnes down fiercely as he stepped into your office and leaned against the dark wood of the door, “How do I get rid of an unwanted visitor? Or, better yet, how do I get rid of myself?”

Barnes just shook his head, “Oh, you won’t be getting rid of me any time soon, sweetheart. I believe we have a lifetime’s worth of a deal in front of us.”

“End me now,” you rolled your eyes.

“No can do. Instead, I believe I will be taking you out for dinner tonight. Table for two at The Asgardian; it’s all prepared.”

“And you were planning to tell me... when? Before or after I scheduled all my meetings and appointments for the day?”

“Oh, come on, spontaneity is romantic.”

“Since when do you give two shits about romantic? You kidnapped me last week.”

“Eh, water under the bridge. But whaddaya say?”

“I say no thanks, I’m busy,” you looked back down to the spreadsheets before you.

“Would you be a little less busy if I tell you I talked to Rogers?” He revealed, raising one eyebrow.

“When you say talk, do you mean you went out for beers last night and acted like bros?”

“It’s besides the point what we did,” he brushed off, though maybe more because that wasn’t what they had actually been doing, “It’s what was said. I got an agreement from him.”

“For what, to get you a new brain?”

“Noo,” he set his jaw slightly with annoyance, “An eviction notice. He’s headed out of the US.”

“Bullshit,” you huffed, returning to your work.

“I’m serious. He’s gonna transfer everything to Europe.”

You put down your pen, “And how on earth would you have swung that?”

He shrugged a shoulder, “Don’t worry about it.”

“That only makes me more worried.”

“I just... cashed in an old favor,” his fingers toyed with the items on your desk.

You crossed your arms, “You’re a terrible liar.”

He frowned at you.

“Look, Barnes, if we’re gonna be married, you might as well just be honest with me.”

He inhaled for a long moment and turned his head away, sliding his hands into his pocket, “I may have... said a few... threats.”

“What kind of threats?” You asked cautiously.

He pressed his mouth into a line and turned back to you, “Just the kind that get people out of town. Just drop it, okay? I worked it out; there’s nothing you need to worry about.”

“Barnes, I don’t need a vendetta over my head with the CEO of a fast growing company worth millions. You gotta do better than that.”

“Look, Y/N, it’s not a big deal. I threatened him a little, but I set him up real nice in Europe. I have some cousins over there, real high up, and they’ll find some great clients for him. He’ll do fine. I’ll make sure of it. But he’ll do fine just as long as he stays far away.”

“And what happens when he wants to branch out internationally? Or when we do? We already have a few buyers in Europe that you’re threatening, Barnes...”

“And there’s always gonna be another buyer that’s threatened! Come on, Y/N, I’ve freed up a whole fucking continent for you! Take it,” he leaned forward, urging you, “Sure, we might run into some problems in the future, but then I’ll figure it out when we get there. If I’m gonna be stuck with you for the rest of my life, then anything that happens to you will happen to me, too. Everything will work out fine. For now, just take this as it is.”

You sighed and looked down.

It was a little unbelievable that he was a permanent ally now. That you didn’t have to worry about sorting out every problem you had immediately while you still had something your client wanted. With him, you could take your time and work things out as they came.

You couldn’t quite wrap your head around it.

Or that Barnes was technically now... yours.

How was this the man you were going to spend the rest of your life with? How was this the man you’d wake up to everyday? How was this the man that might one day father your children?!

You didn’t even know anything about him! You didn’t know much about his work, or his friends, or his family, or hell, even himself! You didn’t know his hobbies or dislikes or interests or-

“I don’t even know your first name...” You whispered, the realization shocking you.

He blinked, “What?”

“God, how are we doing this? How are we getting married? I don’t even know your first name!” You cried out, covering your face in your hands. What had you done?!

He stepped forward and sat in the chair across from you, a little panicked with your emotion, “Hey. Look, I... I know I’m not great with this stuff. And I know I’m not the person you probably wanted. But like I said, we’re gonna figure it out.”

You nodded, though your distress didn’t lessen. Maybe you’d figure it out, but that didn’t mean you’d necessarily enjoy it, right? Just what had you tied yourself down to???

“And it’s James,” he admitted with a rueful half-smile after a few beats of silence.

You looked up at him, surprised, “What?”

“My first name. You wanted to know. It’s James.”

Amusement tugged at your lips and began washing some of your sadness away as you raised an eyebrow, “James?! The Winter Soldier who murders people in the blink of an eye without ever being caught is named James?!”

He bit the inside of his lip, fighting back a smirk, “Why do you think I never tell anyone?”

“Am I the only one who knows?”

“Eh, there’s a small handful of people who know me from childhood who do.”

You chuckled slightly, “James. James Barnes. That’s- wait,” you paused, “What’s your middle name?”

“Ooooh, no, you do not get to know that,” he answered firmly.

“I’m your fiancee!”

“And I will take that name with me to my grave!”

“Oh, no way, you have to tell me now! Does this mean it’s worse than James?!”

“Shut up.”

You thought for a moment, trying to think of a way to convince him to tell you. Your eyes widened and your face slipped into a grin, “I’ll kiss you if you tell me,” you bet, hoping it would work.

He scoffed, “You can’t just use kissing me to get what you want; not gonna work, doll. Besides, what makes you think I even want to kiss you?”

Oh really? Challenge accepted.

You leaned over your desk and grabbed his collar, pulling him into a searing kiss. You let out a little bit of a moan (obviously, to get the information out of him- not because you actually enjoyed it, duh) and let your tongue drag across his lips until slipping it into his mouth.

He growled lightly, though you couldn’t tell if it was because he was turned on by the kiss or if he was just pissed that you were trying to manipulate him like this. Probably both.

You pulled away, smiling smugly.

His face twitched with annoyance for a second before he exhaled and frowned, “Fine,” he grumbled, “It’s Buchanan.”

“Buchanan?!!!!!” You shrieked, “No fucking way, you were not seriously going to let me go my whole life without knowing that?! Are you serious?!!!”

He crossed his arms and sat back in his chair.

“No way, wait,” your eyes widened with an idea, “Can I call you Bucky?”

He sat up in his chair immediately, “Absolutely not!” He snapped.

“Pleeeaaseeee?”

He shook his head, “No, Y/N, it’s not gonna happen.”

You sighed, “Fine. But then what do you want me to call you?”

He frowned, never having thought about that. He was scanning his mind for an idea, before a small smirk cracked on his lips, “What about Your Highness?”

“Keep trying.”

“Worth a shot.”

He thought for a few moments more before giving up, “I don’t know.”

“Then Bucky is sounding like our only option here...”

His jaw set, but you pushed on.

“Aw, come on. Don’t tell me you wouldn’t wanna hear me shouting ‘Bucky’ on our honeymoon night,” you egged on, mischievously.

His eyes glinted and he chuckled, “Oh, sweetheart, that’s only assuming if you can last until honeymoon night. Trust me,” he lowered his voice, “You’ll want it to be sooner.”

You held back a grin at his confidence, but pressed on, “So, does that mean I get to use ‘Bucky’?”

He sighed, “You can do it once and only once. But you’re not allowed to use it in front of people. If we’re with company, you must call me Barnes. They don’t need to know my other names. Or, you could just call me a pet name, like ‘babe’ or ‘handsome’ or ‘Your Highness,’ ya know, the normal ones...” he bit back a smile at his own joke.

“You’re a piece of work, you know that?”

“No, you know what, I’ve never heard that one before,” he teased.

“Well, be prepared to hear it a lot from me, because you are.”

“Mhmm...” he smiled lazily at you, before tapping his hands on the arm rests and standing up, “So. Why don’t you elaborate on why I’m such a piece of work at The Asgardian over steak and wine at 7 tonight?”

You bit your lip, thinking. You had been planning to go dinner with Wanda tonight, but maybe- just maybe- this might be a little more important.

“I’ll see what I can do” is all you said.

“Great, then I’ll see ya there,” he concluded, walking backwards out of the room.

You rolled your eyes playfully as he winked, before slipping out the door.

Ah, fuck this, and fuck the stupid grin on your face that you couldn’t fight off.

Maybe Barnes was a lot more dangerous in more things than just his work...

Against that backdrop is the creation of Lightning Network—the technology that is set to redefine Bitcoin transactions. Instead of updating the primary software of Bitcoin, Lightning seeks to improve it by adding an additional layer of technology that will lead to cheap and faster transactions. This will happen with the same assurance of utmost security that blockchain provides.

Easy Transactions

The ideation of the Lightning Network dates back to 2015. It has evolved from one stage to another, to more advanced prototype. In its current stage, the technology promises a bright future for Bitcoin usage and seeks to remove the guesswork and criticism that surrounds the currency.

“It’s fairly close to working to the point where the public can test with real money, but not necessarily to the point where people can operate a business on it quite yet.” This is according to Jack Mallers, the creator of Lightning Network app for desktop, Zap.

The First Step—The Technology

How long will it be before the Lightning Network can become practical? Lightning engineers offer some thoughts. While the network took a big leap just recently, the engineers are yet to release software that will lead to actual Lightning transactions. Therefore, the first step is to release the Lightning Network to the public and to find out whether there are any issues arising from the initial stage. According to Conrad Burchet, a Swiss university ETH researcher, “In the near future, most problems will be about getting Lightning to work in practice.”

In addition, once Lightning Network becomes effective, engineers anticipate other delicate technical challenges. They still have to get the ‘network structure’ right, according to Burchert. Additionally, bad players in the network may halt transactions and some users may want to exercise more control over their transactions.

In the words of Elizabeth Stark, co-founder and CEO of Lightning Labs, “ Whenever you’re building a new financial protocol, you want to ensure it’s secure as possible, so we’re working on various security-related efforts.”

On the same note, Mallers agrees that engineers need to address the technical hurdles before the Lightning Network becomes operational. He says, “All of that will need to get ironed out before I would advise a company to start to rely on the Lightning Network for business or money that they can’t afford to lose.”

Stark concurs, adding that even with the promises of the network, there is a need for more developers. “The only thing that could speed it up is more engineers…we need more hours in the day. There are 10 or fewer full-time developers working across all implementations of Lightning. Getting more contributors and people building out the protocol would certainly help move things along.”

Going Wireless

Another puzzle to solve in the Lightning Network is launching the apps and making them easy to use. While many apps that support the network are on the rise, so far they are not easy to use for the vast majority. There are still several wires popping that need to be hidden. Users of Zap, the desktop app for the network, still have difficulties in configuring the nodes and plugging it in the IP address.

According to Mallers, Zap will soon become wireless and seamless, just as Venmo, one of the apps you can use to send small amounts of money to friends. “Eventually, peers on the network will just look like contacts on your phone,” he said.

Mallers explains that this is already taking place on the network. For instance, LND recently included an automation feature that creates a channel between the sender and the receiver when they deposit money. Mallers says this happens, “so that users don’t have to understand what all that means.” However, he is quick to say that it’s not the right way, though.

The Lightning Network is currently in its “baby steps” and just suitable for technical users. However, the team is committed to erasing the challenges. As Mallers put it, “…surely we’ll abstract a lot of this stuff away, so it’s just about paying and receiving money.”

Even so, users will have to wait a little more to reach that level. “As far as Lightning Network changing the world – where I can wave my phone and pay for things and stuff will show up—I’d say It’ll take a year or two,” Mallers says

Chicken-and-Egg Concern

After addressing all issues, there’s still the concern of whether people will use Bitcoin even after Lightning Network is operational. According to Bitcoin developer Alphonse Pace, Lightning might experience challenges of “network effect” in which users are motivated to use the network because other people use it.

But who will take up the challenge first?

Pace says, “ It’s a chicken-and-egg issue… Wallets will want people wanting to use it to support it, and people will want wallets to support using it.”

Alex Bosworth, a developer of Lightning apps HTC.me and Yalls agrees to a similar situation:

“There is somewhat of a bootstrapping issue. We need to have apps to encourage wallets and wallets to encourage apps.” Even with the efficiency of Lightning, other familiar payment apps such as Apple Pay will have reservations at first.

Bosworth says, “If you ask a normal person what they want to pay with, they would probably go with Apple Pay because that’s what they are used to.”

While Lightning engineers are committed to overcoming these hurdles, they believe it will take time.

High Hopes

While the public may have to wait a little longer before they can use the Lightning Network effectively, developers are optimistic that the network will eventually transform Bitcoin into a practical payment system. Mallers says that Lightning “will change the way that we send money to each other on a day-to-day basis.” However, he leaves it to the engineers to accomplish their part before the public can start enjoying the benefits of the technology.

To the engineers, Mallers urges them to take their time to ensure that everything is in place for the successful implementation of the network. While the users are quite optimistic, he thinks, “…users over-estimated Lightning’s deadlines.”

Bosworth offers a similarly positive take: “The Lightning Network could be like the World Wide Web was to e-mail. It might take a while to grow, but the more it grows the better it will get.”

In addition, Bosworth said that his father, Adam Bosworth, steered the tech team that worked on web browsers in 1995 when the internet was transitioning from research laboratories to public use.

In the words of Bosworth, “I remember that time as being pretty exciting because of all of the opportunities that were going to fall out of web browsers. This reminds me a lot of that.”
