on the topic of dad!skz. dad!minho picking out a itty bitty kitty halloween costume for his baby girl with the softest little cat ears, a floofy tail and he finds a little makeup pen that he researches and researches to make sure it's okay to put on her skin because he wants to draw whiskers on her but not if it's going to hurt her!!!! and he walks home with the biggest smile on his face and gets home so excited to show you what he bought - only to see you putting your daughter into a puppy costume you bought earlier that day.

the days leading up to halloween are spent with bickering over which costume she should be in (minho almost foaming at the mouth because cats are his thing how can his daughter n o t be in a cat costume) and on the day she ends up in???? (this is where you come in bc i really can't think of denying minho anything)

Seungmin is behind this. Somehow, Minho hasn’t really figured it out yet. He just knows it’s his fault because who else could have convinced you of this?

“Ha-ha. Very funny.” He says with the most humorless expression on his face. “Where he is?”

You furrow your brows. “Who?”

“Ah, come on. What other puppy do we know?” Minho gestures at his daughter on the ground, ironically chasing her fake tail.

It clicks, and you can’t help but laugh. “Minho, you’re joking.”

Blank face. He’s not even joking a little bit. Sighing, you stand up from the couch, walking right past him towards the kitchen.

“Think what you want, Minho, but I do have the ability to make my own decisions.”

When you get into bed that night, you don’t face him. Rolling over to stare out the window instead.

He really didn’t think that you’d be this mad about it. More than anything, Minho thought it was a silly joke. Like ha ha ha, Seungmin weaseled his way into dressing his daughter as a dog. Did he do that with Jisung’s daughter, too? Changbin’s boys? It’s so in character that it was easy to just believe it.

But he can tell with how you’ve acted with him since he got home — only really talking to your daughter, insisting on doing bath and bed by yourself — it was a stupid thought that he shouldn’t have ran with.

“Hey.” He rolls on his side towards you, a hand on your shoulder. “Come on, talk to me.”

“I’m tired, Minho.” It’s a lie — the bed is shaking with how jittery your legs are.

“I’m not going to drop it.” Minho says plainly. “You know that.”

With a sigh, you sit up, knees to your chest. Not really looking at him and instead fiddling with your sweatshirt. “Fine. It made me mad that you reacted like that to her costume.”

Minho smiles sadly, reaching for your hand. If you keep playing with that thread, you’ll ruin that shirt, and he knows it’s your favorite thing to sleep in as the weather turns. Though reluctant, you let him take your hand. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have treated it like a joke—“

“She looked really cute and I thought you would really like it.” There’s a cry catching in your throat, one that you’re desperately trying to swallow down. Minho’s heart shatters when he hears how much it upset you.

Bringing your hand to his lips, he slowly presses his lips to your palm. Peppering them around the hand; the tops, the wrist, over your wedding ring. “She did look very cute.”

“She always looks cute.”

The way you say it, with such a pout, makes Minho giggle a little. He shuffles in the bed, lying his head on your knees to get a better look at you. “It’s because she looks like you.”

Ah, there you go. The corners of your lips peeking up before you remember why you’re so upset. “Stop with that cheesy bullshit—“

“It’s true! If she looked like me…sheesh.”

You move too quick for him to catch, grabbing the pillow you’re propped up on and hitting him with it. Minho tries to pull it from your hands, ready for revenge, but you won’t give.

“Say that again and I’ll hit you HARDER next time.”

“Oooooh, so scary. So big and tough with your pillow, huh?”

Minho gives up on trying to take your pillow.

And grabs one of his own.

It’s your turn to walk into a surprise. Less than a week left until Halloween, and there’s your daughter. Sitting in the high chair as her father, your husband, delicately traces lines from her nose.

“What is this?”

While Minho is still, it makes Jisung jump. The baby in his lap crying from the sudden movement. “Sheesh, knock next time.”

Your brows raise. “It’s my? Home? What’s going on here?”

Jisung looks from you to Minho, spinning the baby is his lap around so you can see. A pretty little heart painted on the tip of her nose, teeny whiskers across her face. The costume she’s wearing identical to the one your daughter has on, only a few sizes smaller.

“Doesn’t she look so CUTE?” Jisung is so giddy, cooing as he bounces the baby on his knee. “We wanted her to be a pumpkin, but then Minho came over and said he got her something—“

“We haven’t decided on a costume.” You say sternly, looking at your husband.

“Yet.” Minho’s eyes flick up to you. “You haven’t seen her as a cat yet.”

You huff, crossing your arms. “Nothing is going to steer me away from—“

Your heart leaps from your body. Never have you seen something so precious, so tiny. Her nose is pink, the whiskers twisting out to just about her mid cheek. Her eyes light up when she sees you, babbling on and on as she reaches out for you.

“Oh, look at you.” You coo, quickly gathering her in your arms. She giggles, snuggling into your shoulder. Her little headband brushes softly against your neck. Oh, you could cry.

Minho looks a little too smug for your liking. “So what were you saying about not steering you—“

“Shut up.”

Jisung is in his office, windows shut, and he can still hear the two of your bickering from the other side of the fence. There’s no hard feelings there, just the two of you are too stubborn to give up. Cat, dog. Dog, cat. Over and over and over—

Sighing, he pushes himself up from his computer chair. Grabbing the car keys from his bag and leaving with a quick goodbye kiss to his partner and daughter. Just a teeny little errand.

You answer the door, Minho meowing obnoxiously somewhere inside the house. “Hey, Jisung—“

“It’s my turn to pick.” He forces a plastic bag in your hand before turning around and leaving. Even after you call after him, your voice fading as he walks the short distance back to your house.

You open the bag, the costume still perfectly in its wrapper. Soft, tan fur decorates the onesie. A hood to cover her teeny little head and keep her warm.

You throw it to the side. A lion, really? What a silly choice, so basic. It’s her first halloween, you’re not going to waste it on something like this.

Okay so. What if... An exorcist's halo protects them from whatever hell does to make sinners into their weird demon shapes. And hell has a very *interesting side effect on exorcists without their halo*.

So like

Charlie takes Vaggie home to heal, and while at first she's recovering... she starts feeling *off*. Like this bonedeep discomfort and ache in her muscles

Her senses feeling adjitated and overly sensitive

Her instincts getting set on edge

That itch to fight

And then one night

Charlie hears vaggie screaming

Vaggie only has a vague recollection of what happened that night.

Her body feeling like it was trying to twist itself apart. Almost like when lute tore off her wings...

And then suddenly everything was *loud*, her senses on overload.

Meanwhile charlie... *got chased by vaggie around the house*

She may not have her wings

But her body was *covered* in feathers, her teeth growing into fangs, and her lone eye taking on the look of a bird of prey.

Her hands grew into talons, and the senses she already had as an exorcist ran *wild*

(Thinking exorcists already have some predatory senses like having a strong sense of smell. Meant specifically for being able to sniff out wounded sinners)

Charlie managed to keep vaggie from hurting her or anyone else

Meanwhile vaggie... opened up her injuries while wrestling with charlie.

When she finally changed back, she was very sore, and very very confused

And charlie, not really knowing any better, just thinks this is the type of sinner vaggie is.

So they just sort of slowly figure things out. By the time the hotel opens, charlie and vaggie have a regular routine. As far as the hazbins are concerned, vaggie takes some time for herself every so often. The only person visiting her being charlie. (Charlie figured out real quick that were-vaggie seems to enjoy having a 'nest' in their suite. It helps keep her calm, even to the point she can cuddle with her big bird of prey).

When I used the sheep living with a pack of wolves metaphor while talking about the blood stuff, I actually used rabbit instead of sheep at first. But then I realized that I was missing an excellent opportunity and changed it lol.

I'm all about animal aus, they're super cute! Just imagine a sheep MC and brothers as wolves cuddle pile... freakin' adorable!

I'm loving Asmo grooming them for hours. Poor sheep MC just has to be patient and let it happen 'cause what else are they gonna do?

I don't know if these are wolves that can talk, but I like to think Satan would try to learn about sheep from MC. the tattoo cc I made for buck is definitely way out-of-date, but alas i am too lazy to go back and make a new tattoo to add all of his current 6,000 tattoos (love your tats oliver but no thanks <3) Including that last shirtless pic to show them off a little better.

Eddie Diaz

I know that Eddie doesn't have Ryan's map&compass tattoo in the show but I love that tattoo on Ryan so I included it on Eddie. I chose this hair for him bc I wanted to like blend the length it's at now with his s6 style a little bit- very floofy yet tidy, but also not a schoolboy or slicked back to the gods.

Maddie Han

I think I spent hours trying to get JLH's face as perfect as I could in-game and honestly I don't hate the outcome? like it's definitely NOT perfect by any means, but I think Maddie is one of my favorite sims in terms of how she turned out.

Chimney Han

Chimney is where things started to go a little downhill for me... I don't know why, but after HOURS of working, I just cold not get him right so I eventually had to sit back, take a deep breath, and say 'this is as good as it's gonna get.' I'd like to issue my formal apology to Kenneth Choi for this <3 (pls don't judge too harshly I swear I tried)

Karen Wilson

Karen, like Chimney, was a sim I spent HOURS on trying to get right, but for some reason I just could not for the life of me perfectly replicate Tracie's face... and unfortunately when I first made these sims (a LONG time ago) there wasn't a hair that fit Karen perfectly until (imo) THIS one came with the Lovestruck Expansion pack... I did make the executive decision to give her light brown hair rather than the blonde/brown she actually has, because the blonde in-game looked weird on her. I know these aren't her classic dreads, but I feel like they evoke the general vibe of hers better than some of the options we have in-game.

Hen Wilson

so Hen turned out being one of my favorites. I really love the outfits I picked out for her (bc lets be honest Hen loves wearing some of the WILDEST fits on the show) but unfortunately, this game hates to give female sims just plain slacks that are higher-waisted, so I was stuck with a cc pair that don't quite match but what can I do

yet another sim who I feel like I missed the mark on- Peter Krause's face was just IMPOSSIBLE to replicate, so I did my best. I also made the executive decision to not go full-grey for Bobby bc then he looked ancient rather than just late-50s.

I have a love-hate relationship with this sim because I spent so much time trying to perfectly replicate Corrinne's face, but no matter what I did there was always something that was always just the tiniest bit off... she's definitely not the worst of these sims though

Our dear Captain's been tired as of late, and despite his reassurance to his beloved partner that he's alright, she begs to differ and feels like he needs a well-deserved break.

After confiding with Jean to give him a day off, her plan is set.

The next morning, Kaeya wakes up to the delicious smell of food coming from their shared hone and walks down to the kitchen to find a table full of delicious food. After breakfast, the two decided to take a walk around town, just chatting. Around evening time, they witness a group of street musicians playing music as people around them started to dance with the couple joining as their laughter fills the air.

When you’d first breached the topic of having children it felt difficult to you. You wanted children, you truly did. But you felt so torn at the thought that you’d have to give up on all the things you’d built up for yourself at work. Your career was important to you and you didn’t want to have to cut back, but just thinking about that made you feel terrible and like you couldn’t possibly be a good parent. Shouldn’t your children always come first? But was it so wrong to not want to choose between having a career and having a family?

Thoughts like these kept haunting you, but you didn’t dare to tell Hyungwon any of them. You were too scared to admit that, even in front of him.

Hungwon knew you well though. He noticed that you were brooding about this, stressing yourself out before you’d even made any decisions.

“You know,” he’d said one night, both of you already comfortable in bed and ready to call it a day. “I don’t mind staying home.”

“Huh?” You’d just stared at him through the dark. Somehow that possibility hadn’t even occurred to you.

“I can cut down my hours and I can also work from home a lot,” he continued and it didn’t sound like an impulsive idea. Hyungwon seemed to have given it a lot of thought.

Of course, the topic hadn’t been done and over with yet—you’d discussed things some more and considered your options realistically before even trying for a baby.

But in the end, you did it just like Hyungwon had suggested: He reduced his work hours and stayed home with the kids, only driving to the office if it really couldn’t be helped. And you returned to work, not having to give up on the goals you had for your career. It worked out well for the both of you: Hyungwon seemed to enjoy getting to stay with the kids and you were relieved you could keep your job without worrying. You loved your job after all.

And yet there was nothing you loved more than coming home to your family after a long day and listening to what they’d been up to during dinner time.

Today was no exception, you were filled with a sense of warmth and anticipation as you unlocked the door, happy to be back with your chaotic little family soon. You slipped out of your shoes and stepped inside, almost stumbling over your daughter’s backpack that she must have left in the hallway. It was oddly quiet, and you quickly found out why:

When you came into the living room you found your husband taking a nap on the floofy rug, the baby sleeping soundly on his chest and your daughter curled up at his side. They must have tired themselves out a lot to all be asleep like that and it was such a sweet sight, you couldn’t stop yourself from taking a picture. 

You were hungry and had been looking forward to having dinner, but now that thought was basically forgotten. Instead of getting dinner ready and waking them up, you laid down on Hyungwon’s other side, resting your head against his shoulder and listening to the calm breathing of your family.

The moment you closed your eyes though, Hyungwon blinked his open to look at you.

“Welcome home,” he whispered barely audibly.

“I’m home,” you replied, earning you a smile.

“I’m sorry about dinner.”

“Don’t be. I can wait for dinner if it means I get to spend time with my family like this.”

“Mhm,” he hummed, gently nudging your nose with his own, “I like this too.”

Just when you both closed your eyes again, you were interrupted by a loud voice.

“I’M HUNGRY,” your daughter declared with fervor, making you once again wonder whom she got all this energy from. It surely wasn’t her dad, whose eyes still looked all sleepy.

At your daughter's loud announcement, the baby started to cry, not very pleased about the rude awakening.

Hyungwon huffed a laugh, as he gently rocked it in his arms. “There is no peace in this family,” he complained but there was no bite to it.

“I’m afraid so,” you replied, giving him a peck on the cheek and then got up. “Let’s make dinner.”

I got inspired from other ppl doing redesigns of Hazbin characters and wanted to give a go at it. I don't watch the show but I know info about it from the internet because it's kinda hard to avoid it with it being everywhere. Like most ppl I like the fun idea of their designs but there is much left desired when taking account animation and how they stand out from one another in the background. I focused on character design in college so I'm looking at it through a designer's pov. I feel I know enough about the show to give design feedback. Even so you can still disagree with me/challenge me and be valid. Critique is how we grow as artists! We need to know how to give good criticism and how to take it ourselves :) I'll say the strengths and weaknesses of each original design and go over the changes/why

Charlie- Her original design in the show's cute but I thought she was a clown, not a demon at first. Already has a "demon form" with horns+ tail so I added those built in already. Wanted her to feel optimistic but unsure of herself. Lucifer- Original suit tells he's an over the top king, added gold shoulder pads matching the crown piece and exaggerated his shortness so now he has a Napoleon complex and takes pride from being short. Him and Charlie keep the mostly red yellow white color scheme to signify their royalty. Vaggie Vega- Unique hair shape, good for recognition. Changed name to Vega/Vegatha, sounds strong willed, better fitting for her. "X" over hair distracts from her face, put it underneath. I also made her a bit darker in value to subtly show she's a fallen angel Husker- Eyebrow game is strong, got a unique face from your typical toothy big-eyed citizens. Too many symbols that look pretty but don't make sense in his character. He's a sulky hard ass who doesn't want attention but he's got a design that's very eye-catching. I made him look lower class since he used to be an overlord and is fighting a gambling addiction. 180 color change too so you know he's a cat with owl features.

Angel Dust- Iconic floofy hair swoop. Darker suit to bring out face with a heart choker bc he's a feminine fellow after all. On that note, more pink leaning color scheme. Added abdomen for more spider theming. Dr. Pentious- His Victorian steam punk theme is fun & quirky though you can't quite see it in his design. You can't really see it in my design either cuz I was more focused on filtering out all the eyes and extra details. I would want to take this back to the board and do it over. His original top hat face distracts from his actual one so that had to go. 2 front fangs to appear more snakey. Alastor- His design works for the 1930s the decade he passed. I don't get the correlation to radio and voodoo though. The whole discourse with him being creole is messy so I scrapped it and made him a white American broadcaster to not deal with that. I made him blind with supernatural hearing abilities leaning into the sound aspect. It feels chilling knowing he hears your every move, emotion and heartbeat like the warden from Minecraft. Deer and orange fox themed for a dual nature. Vox- This idea of a tech savvy con man is super fun. Made his persona charming and eccentric, being able to appear friendly while being sketchy as f. His body is made of wires too with his teeth resembling the shock waves on his hat. Kept the pinstripes for a wirey feel.

I also did some Helluva Boss redesigns too! I think Helluva designs deliver pretty well (besides Queen Bee) so I more or so redesigned them based off my own head cannons. I used to watch the show but fell off around halfway of S2 bc I wasn't vibing with the direction of the story. Octavia- Young entrepreneur, takes after her father and mother being snobby and looks down at lower classes who she sees as less intelligent than high class. Very creative in problem solving. Millie- I like her og clothes alot. Those overalls are chic. This outfit is what she'd wear out in the field when she's working for IMP or at the farm. She and Loona fight alot about who works harder and Loona having an attitude problem towards everyone. Sallie Mae- Not much change other than white hair and removed eyelashes. I might want to make her shirt dark muted blue instead. I gave her a backstory how she ran away from toxic masculinity parents and eventually gets hired at IMP as a spy.

Loona- Emo to the extremo. She's originally goth but I got emo from her I'm sorry she just doesn't look goth. She's very lax when it comes to her job and slacks off constantly. She still does it well despite not working as hard as Millie, Moxxie or Blitz. She's strict but means well and cares for ppl around her. She also gets adopted at age 14 in my head cannon.

Bee- 180 change completely. She's a thick queen! Made her black coded with more stripes cuz she's a BEE. I don't get why Vivienne didn't give her stripes bc that's a design thing she uses so much and she doesn't use it in a character whose name is BEE? What??? anyway her design is still complex but simplified and uncluttered for animation so the animators can have pleasant dreams. She's the child of Beelzebub and a hell hound. So that's my take on Hazbin/Helluva character design! This was fun re imagining not only the characters but the story itself. I may write a fan fiction but i dunno right now. I respect the original source material which is something I feel everyone needs to acknowledge when they do a redesign of anything. There are things I don't like about the original and that's ok! That's part of why I did the redesigns. That being said I don’t support Vivziepop :)

Going into my Wa//lly Dar//ling skunk au I just came up with a while ago 🍎

Someone joked(?) about me making a skunk!Wally au and uh... I think that would be really cute (and hot), so... (headcannons plus art under cut)

Skunk!Wally is pretty much the same as the original but extra gassy

He's got a big floofy tail that swifts side to side when he farts. He also has little skunk ears hehe

He's got a very sensitive tummy. He has a hard time with dairy, eggs, onions, APPLES, leafy green veggies, but it doesn't stop him from enjoying those

Wa//lly's farts range from loud short bassy toots to long, hot silent farts that often last minutes on end

Wa//lly's very polite and tries not to gas out his neighbors when he's gassy, which leads to some pretty bad bloating (his tummy gets soooooo big). His neighbors say he should let it out if he's uncomfortable, so he quickly steps outside to blow off steam. If not, Barn//aby has to rub his poor bloated belly (not that he minds) and maybe Ho//me squeezes him between the door and door frame.

Speaking of Ba//rn and Ho//me, they're mainly comfy with Wa//lly's stink due to being around him a lot. But sometimes the stink is too much for Ba//rn and his dog nose, but he still tolerates it bc his friendship with Wa//lly is that strong

Wa//lly's fart stink depends on his mood. If he's feeling anything positive (happy, calm, in love), his farts emit a lovely apple smell, which they also do if he eats too many apples. If he's feeling negative (sad, angry, stressed), they stink of rotten eggs and milk. Nerves and just feeling neutral also give him gross farts.

He can spray! He won't use it on anyone, it's just that sometimes, not often, he feels the strong need to spray and has to do it in private. If not, a quick scare can lead to an accident. He has to step outside in private, pull his pants down, and let the spray out, which can sometimes force a fart out

If he's really, really urgent, sometimes he'll fumble trying to pull his pants down and accidentally sprays in his pants, leaving them stained and stinky, and leaving him embarrassed

The neighbors all make sure to accommodate for Wa//lly. They make sure to give him safe foods and if he's feeling gassy, they remind him to step outside (cause he forgets). They pretty much do anything they can to make him feel comfortable.

Y/N can make Wa//lly super nervous and tooty. He'll try to talk to you but his nerves get the best of him and his cute monotone voice gets drowned out by a long burbling fart

If he knows you're into his gas, he'll be more comfy farting around you, even loading up on trigger foods so he can make loud, smelly impressive farts just for you. Whether it farting on your lap to dutch ovening you to sitting his stinky butt on your face, he'll make sure he makes you happy

Whenever he's in his big comfy chair, he lies his tail over his lap and rips a hot silent fart to warm himself up. Works great in the winter too

first of all, his design.

"haha funny boy with a bowl cut and a huge hat" virgin vs "literally the most fun design to draw" chad. yes i'm the second one.

of course his design is heavily inspired by his counterpart but i just love it a lot! i really like the colors (some of them lowkey remind me of a bi flag JDKDLSLSL) of his outfit and i like how the color of his hair and his eye color look with them!

i actually disagree with people who say that he'd look better with longer hair or a more detailed/"unique" hairstyle bc i think in that case his design would feel very overwhelming? meanwhile here it looks much more balanced! when i draw him, it feels really nice bc i don't have to do much when it comes to his hair, i can just focus on the outfit! (though i had to get used to drawing his hairstyle, bc my art style is just. floofy hair.. soft hair..)

speaking of his hair..

I'M STILL NOT OVER HIM HAVING MORE MESSY-LOOKING HAIR AND EVEN HAVING AN AHOGE. I'M STILL INSANE ABOUT IT THIS IS SO CUTE. i've talked about it with my other friends and i hc that his hair is like that simply bc he wears a hat most of the time and.. yeah, your hair can become like that after you wear a hat. and like, maybe his hair has no choice but to look like that no matter how much he tries to take care of it and make it look better, so he also tries to hide it with his hat HDJKDKSLD.

also, i find it so funny how on some images it looks like he has really bad dark circles, meanwhile on other images you can clearly see that he wears makeup, so here's my rollo headcanon number 420 (i have so many of them. so many. literally about any topic. i am going insane): rollo tries to hide his dark circles with makeup, but fails miserably and he's really bad at it and nobody has a heart to tell him that he's actually not really doing a good job.

LITERALLY THE WHOLE MASQUERADE EVENT CAN BE A METAPHOR FOR EXPRESSING ALL THE FEELINGS YOU HAD REPRESSED FOR SO MANY YEARS AND ENDING UP DOING SO IN A WAY THAT'S HARMFUL FOR OTHERS (and probably you).

okay, i've said it before in my other post (the ask game one) but the fact that he's literally one of the few characters (if not the only one) who actually says that yuu must feel weird being the only magicless student and that it can be very scary and tiring. man. and like, when everyone has to split up into groups, rollo is the only one who asks what yuu will be doing. i could try my best to not go "this man is in love with them" at least for a second, but no, this man is in love with them. "oh it's only because they're magicless" shut up. so what if it IS because they're magicless. what if yuu is so pure to him, nobody can touch them. what if he wants to protect them from magic users. rolloyuu can either be the cutest and softest ship ever or they can be the most toxic ship BUT IN A GOOD WAY. IN A WAY THAT MAKES YOU GO "waittttt 👀👀👀 that's kinda. that's kinda. hold on a minute" LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYINGGGGGG. all variations of rolloyuu are good. all of them. his ghost room voicelines are also so. it's like, even if he's studying at nrc currently, you can clearly see that he still has favoritism for yuu. it really feels like he sees them as the only "good" student here. it feels like he's a little bit more.. um.. maybe he's more of a tsundere now, since now he knows that yuu likes magic? such as him being surprised when yuu shows him that they want to be friends with him and thinking that it's all just some kind of evil scheme and then being shocked that they're just genuinely nice and saying that it just makes everything even worse. OTOME GAME LOVE INTEREST BEHAVIOR. and him also kinda scolding them for "asking for a present" from him but then saying that birthdays really are important and that he hopes he won't disappoint them with his present. man. m a n. AND HIS OTHER VOICELINES STILL MENTION HIM FEELING SORRY FOR MC AND SAYING THAT THEY CAN ALWAYS RELY ON HIM AND ANYWAY ROLLOYUU ARE MARRIED-

but i should go back to the topic of his personality! you know what makes me insane. it's that rollo, no matter how hard he tries to look like this serious and organized person who has everything under control is canonically a dork in the most affectionate way. HIS FLYING LESSONS VOICELINES ARE SO FUNNY. the fact that he goes "WHY WON'T THIS THING LISTEN TO MEEEEE" when it's not working out, but when everything is fine, he immediately goes "oh, it's quite simple actually"?? i'm going to kiss you on the mouth, you idiot SJKDKDLSLS. he's also canonically a horse girl, which makes sense bc of his counterpart, but also HORSE GIRL ROLLO REAL. i need his lab coat sr. or at least let him take alchemy classes with his current card i want to know what he'll say.

his battle voicelines are so cool, i'm literally obsessed with them. HE LITERALLY SAYS THAT HE HAS UNFINISHED BUSINESS TO TAKE CARE OF AFTER BEATING UP SOME GUYS. HOW COOL IS THAT. some of his voicelines totally didn't make me giggle and kick my feet. totally. don't look at me. me reading "good, how obedient" and "it seems you still desire punishment" and choking on my tea

also i love how his vignette exceeded my expectations and didn't just make me go "i love him <3", it made me go "i need to take care of him, i need to give him a blanket, i need to force him to go to sleep when he needs it, i need to kiss his stupid face, i need to tell him that he's enough-". like what do you mean he eats the exact same things (and not just food, but also the exact amount of it) for lunch and i'm pretty sure he does the same with breakfast and dinner. what do you mean he wakes up BEFORE SUNLIGHT to clean the bell and the gargoyles. what do you mean he likes the bell of salvation (yes, i'm sticking to fan translations) because "it rings when it's supposed to", meaning that he likes predictable things and things that he "already knows" (i think you can say that it's also implied in one of his voicelines where he can't understand why mc is "acting so familiar with him". they're being unpredictable. it's too hard for him to understand them.) what do you mean even when he knows that it will be easier/more convenient for him to do something different, he still does it the same way that he always does. i need him to go to therapy, this man has at least one mental illness and i'm like 100% sure that he's neurodivergent. (i've said it so many times on discord but he's ocd-coded. i say that as someone who has ocd. that's it. i do so many of the things that he does, it actually was a little uncomfortable (but also validating) to read his vignette, i was like "?? DUDE?? PLEASE?? PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW UNHEALTHY IT IS?? wait i don't have a right to say that". the bit where he says that he eats the exact same foods to "avoid unnecessary desires" especially reminded me of my own behavior, because my brain often makes me stop taking care of my needs because "otherwise the Bad Stuff will happen". but i won't go into detail)

also i like how he's loved by literally all nbc students?? say whatever you want, call him manipulative and all that, but it takes hard work to make people like you and admire you and rollo is definitely hardworking.

now, his role in the story. sure, him and idia have very similar backstories, but rollo's past resonates with me much more, because i really wish we had more characters that express their grief and other negative emotions as anger. of course, some people cry, some people isolate themselves, some people become afraid of everything, but in those cases those characters are usually portrayed as sympathetic, meanwhile those who want to punch people, want to fight back, want to scream and yell at everyone, often get portrayed as unsympathetic, scary or even abusive and toxic or just evil. which is.. not good. not good at all. anger is a valid and understandable emotion and it's actually good to be angry about things. i actually was shocked when my therapist told me that i SHOULD "bite and scratch people more" (as i've said it myself) right after i was describing to her how easy it is for me to get angry we also found out that it's actually one of my alters' doing and i was like "i sound like some kind of monster don't i". so it's really nice and actually kinda healing to see him just steal everyone's magic, set the town on fire (with flowers, but whatever) and still hate magic and not really getting a redemption arc. it's okay, he'll get there someday. him immediately starting to sob the moment he remembered what happened to his brother also broke me.

however, there is one tinyyyy problem with his backstory, though that's just me, probably. you see, idia blaming himself for what happened to ortho was more.. i wouldn't say understandable, but it makes sense story-wise. he really was involved in it, even if it really wasn't his fault and he was only a child, i can still see why he'd blame himself. but in rollo's case, him secretly blaming himself.. doesn't really make sense to me? i mean, his brother just wanted to show him his magic, sure, rollo could blame himself for just standing and not being able to help him, but.. i don't know, it just feels a little bit weaker to me. so when the story goes "hey, look at him, he's blaming the magic users for not saving his brother, when he actually thinks it's his fault"! i'm like ". okay. what do you want me to do. do you want me to give him a hug and tell him that it really wasn't his fault." like, according to him, other mages really couldn't help and they ignored him, so what do you want me to do?? do you want me to point at him and go "HAHA SO IT REALLY IS YOUR FAULT"?? i'm not gonna do that!!

also, the thing is that rollo isn't selfish at all. i don't think he thinks that highly of himself. i actually bet that his self-esteem is horrible. when idia tells rollo that rollo wasn't trying to save other people, but he actually wanted to save himself, rollo is genuinely confused and can't believe it and idia himself says that it looks like rollo really did think that he was doing it for others. and even if he secretly wanted to do it for himself, i don't think him saying that he wants to save others and end their suffering is selfish. and he also says that he'd love to lose his magic too and he doesn't like using his magic.

his parents also being worried about him and making sure he's fine in the vignette also breaks my heart.

soooo yeah! that's all i can think of right now, but of course, there's most likely much more, my brain is just a little tired, haha.

maybe none of this makes sense and i'm just biased and i'm projecting, but who cares. at least i'm having fun.

I actually breed Gold/Blue Partridge Brahmas on the side because where I live the nearest breeder of brahmas in general is about a 2 hour drive inland and there's a fair demand for them since they're much less likely to get taken by hawks due to how MASSIVE they are.

This is my sweet girl, Buttercup, a Speckled Sussex. I have near enough every different Sussex colour under the sun lmao. Pale, Silver, Buff, Coronation, and Platinum. They're named Crystal, Salt, Pepper, Ivory, and Gracie respectively.

This is Gracie, the Platinum Sussex I mentioned. She is the LOUDEST girl known to man. She has many opinions and need to make sure they're known!!! Will come and stand outside the back door and shout into the house for attention.

This is Cricket, my Plymouth Rock hen. I named her Cricket because when she was a little newly hatched baby, she would cuddle up in my hand to fall asleep and start trilling/purring. The sound was exactly like the sound of a cricket chirping.

Maisie, my fluffy little Easter Egger girl. She lays bright blue eggs, and her sibling Bean, lays bright green ones.

My head rooster and main breeding male, Sergeant Major. This image doesn't really do him any justice, but he's absolutely massive, both height wise and because of how broad he is. He has balls of steel and fears nothing. Magpies try to swoop him? They're the ones that have to swerve to avoid colliding with him, because he doesn't move for nobody. He's a big baby for his mamma tho, he lets me pick him up and carry him around like a toddler lmao.

A terrible picture, but it gives you a good idea of how large he is, even though he's smaller than Sarge. This is my second in command, Stevie McQueen (named after the actor in The Great Escape, since as a chick he could and would find a way to escape his enclosure). He might be large, but he's smart enough not to mess with Sarge, so he gets along well with the rest of the flock.

Bluey!! The roundest of girls!! She's a little anxious around humans she doesn't know, but she's so, so very gorgeous. Went through a major molt recently, and is looking a bit scrungly, but here she's looking lovely uwu.

Blondie, one of the roosters from my hatch last November, I decided to keep because he's such a sweet, gentle boy. He's a mix of Brahma (from Sarge) and Pale Sussex (Crystal), but because his mum had some sort of gigantism mutation, he has also outgrown both of his parents and is only 7 months old!! Afraid of his own shadow.

This is Smokey, another of the babies from November. Stevie is her dad and Bluey is her mum, so she has fluffy, round genes from them both lmao.

Froggy!!!! My darling baby girllll!!!!! Another of the November babies, one of the purebred brahma hens. She would've been an excellent show bird, but sadly was born with two of her toes on both feet fused together, forcing her to hop around, hence the name Frog. We corrected the issue so she can now walk correctly now, but her feet aren't good enough to be used for showing or breeding, so we're just keeping her as a pet. She thinks she's a human too, and demands entrance into the house for kisses and hugs ever night. She won't go to bed at night without behind held for a good while and told what a good girl she is.
