had the very uniquely val experience of getting an ad in the mail for the shakespeare theatre company’s (in washington dc) (i saw evita there last year) (which is not shakespeare but he and alw are both british so i can understand the confusion) production of comedy of errors and was deeply confused bc i already have tickets to see all of the american shakespeare center’s (in staunton, virginia) fall/summer shows (macbeth, merry wives of windsor, the importance of being earnest, dracula: comedy of terrors) (as far as i know they do not do musicals) (though cassius and brutus did sing everybody wants to rule the world together before i saw julius ceasar and that was fun)

Marauders brainrot is sitting in a theatre waiting for a production of HSM to start but then Best Friends Brother comes on and your cousin knows the song because she watched the show but you know it because of late 2021/early 2022 jegulus era and as you’re trying to find a place to sit the angsty edits come flooding back and suddenly you’re thinking “is this a sign from the universe that I should reread Best Friend’s Brother?”

can’t think of anything to say other than it was everything I could have ever expected and wanted and hoped for. seeing them perform truly is an electric experience and I am so, so grateful I got to be there. I’ve never felt such overflowing joy and love in one room before and that truly is down to what a one-of-a-kind group Starkid is. I’m so happy and a little emotional that it’s over but like it’s sung in days of summer, “don’t wanna see you go but it’s not forever, not forever” ⭐️💜
