imagine telling sugawara all about your special interest and him just sitting there and genuinely listening to you. he loves the way your face lights up as you talk about the thing you love so much to the point that it’s sometimes all you can think about. he’d ask questions to keep you going and make the conversation feel less one sided, to show you that he truly cares. he doesn’t mind that you’re rambling, barely aware of how long you’ve been talking or whether or not he even knows what you’re talking about—the fact that you trust him enough to talk about your special interest with him, to share this part of you, is more than enough. he doesn’t care how “weird” or niche it is, he’s just happy to be there learning from you. if you feel guilty afterwards for info dumping and being “too much,” he wouldn’t hesitate to remind you that you are anything but. all he wants is for you to be happy, and seeing you this excited makes him the happiest man alive.

I'm very little interested in books, much more in you, pretending to read phrases, but wanting to read about your fingers dancing along spines of manuals, slow and sure.

How your eyes flicker when you find what you're searching for, reading about creatures and worlds I know nothing about, the only thing I can know is how mesmerising your jaw closes and your absorbed pupils go from left to right.

I wish that spark of joy you reserve for words, was for me, I've found what I was looking for in that sight of yours, imagining how this gentle touch should be used to delicately trace the pages of my skin, cutting the insufferable space between us. And as you leave, with our story unwritten, I look in books for stories better than how our could be.

Here's my latest cross stitch project! It is a birthday gift for the lovely, fantastic @heliza24, and based on one of her favorite writers, Edna St. Vincent Millay. The words are from one of Vincent's poems, "Love is Not All (Sonnet XXX)," and the pink magnolias are inspired by a famous picture of her standing next to a magnolia tree. I adapted patterns from FabyReilly on Etsy for the border and the individual magnolias. Thank you for the inspiration, friend!

honestly i'm not sure;;;;;;; i'm currently trying to catch up on Work work, which i keep putting on the back burner in favour of my silly little r/s daydreams xx so i've hidden scrivener and blocked myself from tumblr (clearly breaking the rules rn) in a desperate attempt to concentrate, but! this chapter! simply will not Exit my mind !!!! i've written around 5k so far, but i have SO many ideas... so many sopping wet miserable thoughts to cram into a single chapter... it's going to be a long one xxxx
