The ladies promise that it’ll be fine and vampires are actually pretty chill and def won’t attack Stan if they’re asked not to, and they’re right. Mostly. There’s a bad vampire there, and you can guess what happens next. features working through past abuse from bill and someone from stan’s criminal past popping in and wreaking havoc!!! also, nasty fucking vampires. they get gross…..any of yall seen the strain on FX?

amaretto sour: owl house and gravity falls crossover. Stan’s short lived marriage to a weird lady with feathers in her hair. It gets weirdly emotional because they both have major family issues that they’re trying to hide, and Eda is on a rebound from Raine so they both kinda know this aint gonna last. RATED M FOR SEX!!!!!!!!

the abyss and the boat: inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s “Shadow Over Innsmouth”, which is one of his only good stories even though yeah it’s hella racist. Um I’m not gonna be racist in my story tho. Duh. Anyway. The Sea grunkles stumble upon a tiny town called Innsmouth, and are put off by marina owner Zadok Allen’s icy attitude towards them, and his granddaughter Farah isn’t much better. Mayor Barnabas Marsh is overjoyed that tourist season is starting early, and offers Stan and Ford a far warmer welcome. maybe even suspiciously warm. but there are beings beneath the docks that are already stirring up trouble….and why in the world are these otherworldly monsters named “Robert and Laurence Olmstead”?!

i could talk for years about this fic and never be able to fully articulate how much it means to me. the imagery and the descriptions and the way it just instantly had me hooked?? i was originally sceptical about reading it but then i opened it, read the beginning in hao's pov, and the next thing i new it was 5 hours later and i had tears streaming down my cheeks and my heart thumping so hard in my chest

talking about my neoptolemus/telemachus wip bc idk how to shut the fuck up!!!

SO the dynamic between neoptolemus and telemachus in my wip is essentially that neoptolemus is in love with telemachus from their first meeting, but he’s convinced that telemachus is too good for him and that he destroys everything he touches so he masks that with cruelty and pretends that he hates telemachus. telemachus is at first, drawn to neo and really likes him, but then neo starts being cruel in his attempts to push telemachus away and that gets telemachus to genuinely hate neo. it’s like a one-sided enemies to lovers. neo wants really badly to hate telemachus, but he can’t find it in him to not love this boy who he thinks shines like the sun. telemachus, on the other hand, just hates neo and he blames neo for ruining this friendship that they could have had.

their relationship basically flips back and forth between neo saying some unintentionally soft shit and when telemachus is like “what” neo just immediately says “but you’re also a weak dumbass so. fuck you.” neo is such a girlfailure in this fic he doesn’t know how to handle emotions AT ALL. he’s grown very special to me in the course of writing this fic which is very funny bc prior to starting this fic, i actually did not care for neo in the slightest before i started writing this fic. i only cared abt him as an extension to achilles bc achilles is my fav greek mythology figure ever. THEN AGAINST ALL ODDS, neo charmed me while writing this fic. like these are some tweets from my priv twt where you can see me progress from not caring at all abt neo to seeing him as my little babygirl son

so yes, i was charmed by my socially awkward son neoptolemus. he’s such a little freak. my favourite headcanon is that maybe in another less angsty fic than the one i’m writing rn, neo wants to flirt with telemachus and bc he’s emotionally inept like his father, he decides the best way to do that is to ask telemachus to spar with him and bc he hates losing, he goes all out and beats telemachus up. it’s like

neo, internally, after punching telemachus in the face: yes, our courtship is progressing magnificently

telemachus, clutching his bloody nose, trying to figure out why neo hates him:

but anyways back to the specifics of my fic. they don’t get to be quite as silly in my fic. essentially what happens is that neo hears of odysseus returning to ithaca and decides to visit. there, he meets telemachus and is immediately charmed because he’s such a little loser. telemachus invites neo back to the palace for dinner and neo ends up getting in an argument with odysseus that ends with him going “I WILL TRAIN TELEMACHUS.” and odysseus does not want that to happen so ofc, telemachus says he wants neo to train him.

and the plotline is basically neo and telemachus’ relationship progressing as neo trains telemachus. it’s full of a lot of really sexually charged sparring and angry arguments.

some of you may be wondering why i refer to neoptolemus as neoptolemus always and not pyrrhus even though pyrrhus is his original name. well in my head, pyrrhus is the name that he’s given at birth by deidamia and neoptolemus is the name he takes up when he goes to war because he feels like he’s become a different person. neo struggling between his two names is actually going to be quite a plot point in this fic

because this fic is just as much a character study of neoptolemus as it is a ship fic between neo and telemachus. i spend a lot of time exploring his relationship with his parents and also his relationship with odysseus. it’s neo’s desire to piss off odysseus in the first place that gets him to stay in ithaca with telemachus. i really want to spend a lot of time exploring neo as a character bc so often, people write him as just being needlessly cruel, but i feel like it’s important to remember that he was just a kid when he was brought into war. he has this legacy from achilles that he needs to live up to, but he’s never even met achilles and how are you supposed to live up to the legacy of the greatest of the greeks? how would it ever be possible to make someone like achilles proud? neo’s grappling with his self-worth and identity a lot during this fic.

so far this fic is about 22k words and it’s very special to me. in the vision i’ve created in my head, we’re about 1/4 done but i make no promises because you all know me and how awful i am at sticking to the word counts that i imagine. it could be much shorter, it could be much longer. i don’t make plans. i just sit down in front of my google docs and bleed.

i’ve also been making plans for a little modern au neo/telemachus fic BECAUSEEE i really want to write that little neo and achilles exchange that i mentioned in my last post abt neomachus (teleneo? idk what their ship name is but i like calling them neomachus). my vice is creating wips and never finishing them tho so idk when (or if) i’ll write that modern au.

i guess i’ll end this little infodump off with some fun exchanges between neo and telemachus that i really like in this fic. they’re just so special to me <3

i will absolutely talk abt this fic more in the future as i continue writing bc im so obsessed with it rn. i will do my best to finish it asap but every time i think more about it, it gets longer.

(ALSO the title of the fic is “someday i know you’ll come to your senses” which comes from the song senses by mico who is, yes, the guy who plays telemachus in epic the musical. what can i say? i like it when things come full circle (it’s also a really fucking good song. everyone stream internet hometown hero by mico))

also maybe not intentional but the joke abt “standing around the quarry making people anxious” makes me think abt Cassie in the forest freaking people out in the green needle witch costume. These could be the same thing I think.

I LOOOOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR VERSION OF CLEM. So you have had influence on me... I love transfem Clem sm that is so real to me. So first of all there's that :]

ALSO YOU ARE IN LUCK I did the same thing after posting this, but I was in fact talking about your favorite old woman Cassieeee!

So it's obvious that Clem's childhood was definitely horrible. And the coping mechanisms chosen were always very indicative of sort of just... ignoring the gravity of the surrounding situations and playing happy all the time. Sort of becomes really disconnected from the real world and who she is, sort of feeling like she's been floating outside it all since she was a kid. Depersonalization-derealization disorder. So I think a way that might manifest as a psychic is through the presence of Mental Projection archetypes. Her archetypes are tied very strongly to her, and she sometimes astral-projects into them. With many of her archetypes wandering around the real world, and her mind jumping between them, she kind of can't get a good grip on what happened to "the real her" or exactly where she was when things were happening, and if it was an archetype or her actual body. I imagine the transgender identity crisis did not help with the DPDR.

Keeping a distance from the motherlobe building, she spends a lot of time around the Quarry with her archetypes wandering around. Cassie's swarm takes note of this presence, and once she detects that there's also archetypes involved, she feels connected and wants to help. She has the swarm give Clem a copy of Mindswarm, and slowly approaches her and invites her to spend time, offers her to help her with managing her archetypes. I thiiink hanging out with Cassie also is what helps her connect the dots that she is a woman as well. And figuring that out is able to help her connect with herself a lot more. Cassie's presence is very calming and the way that she talks about depersonalization and archetype management is very informative and helpful :]

AND YES. The parallel with Green Needle Witch was intentional. Since only some of the archetypes are obviously meant to resemble Clem, and others are much more distorted, depending on whether or not they formed during a feedback loop of derealization, people sort of can...encounter these archetypes wandering the gulch/quarry and don't know where they came from or what they're doing there, especially if Clem's mind isn't really inside/guiding them at the moment.

Propaganda for Sanji x Luffy:

I don't think anyone is gonna bother denying the fact that WCI is literally just the plot of an otome isekai shoujo manga/manhwa. MC (main character) is treated like trash by family except for the 1 dead mom and 1 nice sympathetic supporter that can't do much of anything to help. MC escapes only to find themselves in an even worse situation somewhat of their own making, only to be swept off their feet by the ML (male lead) and saved, full damsel in distress style. Dramatic love confessions, crying in the rain, betrayal from an arranged marriage, it has it all.

Dude Luffy loves Sanji so so much like WCI is the best example and like you don't even really need to see the love as romantic if that bugs you but dudes. The first words out of the Luffys Shadow Possessed Oars was yelling for Sanji. He just loves Sanji so much and Sanji loves him too

The WCI arc in itself is mega SanLu propaganda. Luffy invaded an emperor’s territory, completely crashed a wedding, went up against Sanji’s evil science family, and got nearly beat to death by Sanji himself all in order to get Sanji back. Sanji offered his life to Kuma at thriller bark so Kuma wouldn’t kill Luffy. He pushed himself for 2 years all in order to get stronger FOR Luffy. Sanji feels sorry when he isn’t useful, the whole reason why he used the raid suit those few times was because he was thinking about getting stronger for Luffy, but realized that he didn’t want to become an emotionless monster like his family. Sanji broke down in tears at WCI when he tried to get Luffy to go away by fighting him. And then broke down in tears again when he ran back to Luffy and told him he wanted to go back home to the Sunny. No matter what Sanji cooks, Luffy always likes it and is proud to have him in his crew. Sanji is also one of Luffy’s “wings”, as stated by Robin! They’re both just so sweet and clearly care very deeply about each other.

Luffy saving Sanji on whole cake island got to me

[Insert everything that happens between them during WCI] how could I see luffy yelling about how he won't eat anything and will starve- LUFFY OF ALL PEOPLE- unless Sanji comes back and not ship them at LEAST a little. "Without you I can't become the pirate king" absolutely devastating cinema. Then Sanji laying out everything, in tears, and Luffy accepting it all and just saying, "well that's who you are" poetic. Final wci thing: luffy hearing judges bs about sanji and going "whyd he start listing all your good point" true love. This seems one sided but Sanji is also just as bad. "Which version of me do you prefer" anyone? They care SO MUCH about each other. Also Luffy loves to eat, Sanji loves to feed people, they're meant to be.

*gestures at the entirety of WCI* I mean that’s Love, they are Ride or Die, Luffy cannot become the pirate king without Sanji, whether that means physically because he needs Sanji’s support or just because being the pirate king means Luffy has everything he wants and what he wants is Sanji or both. And Sanji loves him just as much back! He’s his sun he’s his world…Luffy jump and Sanji’s too busy skywalking to bother asking how high. I just love them sm

but yeah no shes got a soft spot for sam, a tiny one but its there, she slips him her number but is like “we’re not friends, it’s only if you need help” and leaves and again he’s in love all over again but she’s like a ghost to him, when she appears it’s brief and his heart hurts when she goes. anyways he calls her (not for help js to talk) and she hangs up because it’s not for case help.

they meet again at bobby’s where she’s crying (very unusual for her because she’s very cold and tough) but basically her dad died and bobby was comforting her and sam wants to but she’s not a touchy person and tries to keep her façade up in front of him and fight his hugs but eventually stops resisting and just cries in his arms, also remember that by this point sam’s in love with her. i think she’s starting to day but she’s like “nah i don’t do love” very stubborn but they don’t see each other in person for around 2 years, only phone calls

then they meet again and she’s the one in trouble and sam n dean both save her, while getting drunk they get on the topic of convo (love) and she says she doesn’t believe and sam does and sam actually rambles on cutely about it and she kinda falls for him but represses it and an extremely drunk sam confesses his feelings to her and she just shuts down and leaves and she gets into a car crash, she deffo has bobby as her next of kin since her dad is gone so the boys find out so sam sees her in that state and breaks down crying bc the woman he’s loved for so many years is laid in a hospital bed hooked up to sm things but he stays with her and his face is the first she sees when she wakes up and sam lays her head on her and she comforts him

anyways she decides to get closer to sam and they become friends and they have deep conversations about love, she puts it down to oxytocin n shit and he tells her why it’s sm more than that and she thinks she’s starting to believe but she’s like “nah dude” to herself

anyways she asks bobby for advice n he says to give sam a chance so she calls him and drops the coordinates to a really pretty willow tree by a lake with a gazebo thing and she dresses up the best she can (that being makeup and a pretty dress, accentuates the chest but the rest is imaginative) and he loses his breath for a minute because of how you look under the gazebo light and you tell him how he made you believe and that you love everything you know about him and he cries and kisses you and ur like “why u crying” n he’s like “happy tears honey” and yeah

the timeline for everything above this is between s1-5, so sam waited 4/5 years

ofc she loves dean like a brother, their relationship bloomed into a very nice platonic sibling thing and she occasionally lets him hug her when she needs it

but sam writes her poetry n stuff and they’re like the cutest and sexiest couple, also the loudest, the get a separate room sometimes and dean is like “dudes keep it down i can hear you through the wall u freaks” and it’s the same in the bunker, even when u both think ur quiet dean can still hear shit, he also walked in on u n him while u were on top and sam shielded ur body so good like yes pussy queen slay come here and protect me like that‼️

♡ riddle would be very surprised to hear that you were a knight in your world, but when he thinks about it more, he realizes that it actually makes a lot of sense. you're always there to protect him, you're very brave and strong and you're good with a sword. you also mentioned that you have a lot of experience with protecting people from any dangers, so whenever you had to deal with someone who overblotted including riddle himself, you never went easy on them and gave it your all. so.. yes, he can see you being a knight.

♡ your dynamic would become even cuter after that, because now you can officially be the queen of hearts' knight! riddle would act a little shy about it at first, he'd try to assure you that he doesn't need your help, but you just smile and say that you know how strong and talented your boyfriend is, but you still want to act as his knight simply because this is how you show your love and loyalty for him. also you know that riddle secretly loves it and there's no point in trying to hide it.

♡ whenever riddle sees someone breaking the queen's rules again, you calm him down before he can say anything and you simply remind him that there's no need to use his unique magic on them or punish them in some other way, when you always have your sword with you <3 riddle is sure that you aren't actually being serious, but what he doesn't know is that you are serious. you don't hesitate to pull out your sword everytime someone makes riddle angry, because this school has way too many troublemakers and you think someone should teach them a lesson and it doesn't always have to be riddle.

♡ he would love to train with you. spending time with you is always fun, but he can't believe that he actually can do his knight training with you now. or maybe you can watch him and give him some advice? he's sure that you have more experience than he does. silver always listens to your advice and makes sure to remember it. though he might get a little distracted sometimes because when you show him how to do something correctly, he finds it amazing just how much you look like a real knight.. ah, of course, you were one in the past, he knows that.

Okay I’m done hiding my epithet obsession behind the tons of audio recordings dedicated to my rambling saved to my phone. Here is everything I love about my sweet pookie bears—

I like their whole group’s dynamic sm, especially since they’re all drastically different in style and attitude, but they all balance each other out really well

Feenie is literally me— tons of book smarts but struggles with street smarts (and no, ztreet zmartz for kidz doesn’t count 😭). She’s also so dramatic and kind and her entire personality is so hilarious to read and listen to. Also I’m very pleased to say that I can do a pretty decent impression of her (mainly because her intro in the gold collection video is one of my favorite things to quote ever. literally, i’ve been saying it non-stop all day because its just that fun to say aloud).

Trixie has all the confidence I wish I had— she acknowledges how not all confidence is genuine, and yet she uses her rough and tumble energy to support and defend her friends. Her whole obsession with the occult is so cool, and I really hope that Jello uses her abilities to gateway into her potentially finding out what her epithet is— I also love how Feenie has an alarm to switch their pronouns, that was really funny. (I have an OC who’s inspired by her lmao)

AND OF COURSE, MOLLY-WOLLY-DOODLE-ALL-THE-WAY! She balances her friend group out so well with her chill personality. While all three of them are anxious at times, I love how Molly isn’t afraid to come up with a plan, even if it involves putting herself in danger to protect everyone else. She reminds me of myself at her age, as I used to struggle with being a people pleaser who struggled to insert myself and defend my beliefs. I love her whole gateway to becoming more assertive in the show and how she used that to save the people she cares about (including Lori, in a way).

If I knew how to draw Lizard Wizard Shades, I would, but I can’t. I’d also ramble about him for twice as long, but it’d make more sense with the content of the post if I had drawn him too, so I’ll save that for another day. :3

I love your takes on Harry and how he’s such a good person! It’s also why sometimes I find dark Harry fics kind of…eh. Obviously I have absolutely NOTHING against dark Harry fics- I’ve been in fandom for so long that I know in my bones and blood that authors should be able to write whatever they want, this is just me pointlessly critiquing tomarry themes in dark harry fics. Anyway, I think one of the appeals of tomarry is that Harry is a good man trying his best to love somebody who is at best, morally grey. Staying with Tom, one could argue, is one of the few selfish things he does. Tom makes the parts of him that are small and stuck in a cupboard under the stairs be seen, and even tho he ranges from being a morally bankrupt politician to a closet fascist, Harry still can’t go. But he’s kicking and screaming about it the whole time. He doesn’t tolerate tom’s extremely evil bulshit. He leaves, even tho it hurts, when too many lines are crossed. He has it in himself to love his parents’ prospective/actual murderer, but he’ll never ask somebody else to tolerate or ignore tom’s crimes. This is an incredibly nuanced situation, that is such fun to read about as Harry tries to navigate loving a bad man. Dark Harry fics can feel like a cop out in these ways ( honorary mention that fics are made for one’s joy and they don’t have to have complex themes, I’m just being annoying )

yes totally agree :) it's why i personally don't love dark harry either, along with fics that try to soften voldemort/pureblood/dark magic ideals to seem "not that bad". to me, that's just not...really the point? and obvs its fine, fanon is honestly whatever to me and i'm sure there are tons of fics that portray this sort of dynamic beautifully, but because i love canon so much, it's js not my preferred style

and YES. harry is a good person!!! huge agree on why that is such an appeal of tomarry- their relationship itself is a source of conflict, especially internally. tom/voldemort is a bad person, and harry HAS to contend with this. he can't ignore it or agree with it and he Will leave if he feels like it's something he needs to do. he's completely capable of making these difficult decisions and i really don't like it when fics infantilize him in that way.

tbh this is why i started writing i can fix him (no really i can)....i Love time travel fics because it sets them for the first time, on an equal playing field, and it really does allow the exploration of themes of remorse and redemption. but their original characters are so interesting to me and i felt like their internal conflicts, especially harrys, were never really delved into as much as they should have been. and at least in this fic- i don't think harry would even be willing to love tom if he didn't change. i really do love redeemed tom fics, but i wish they weren't all "babe...stop saying slurs for me🥺" LMFAOO. i don't think a relationship can really change anyone on its own. it has to be of their own volition. with any redeemed tom, i think this is the most important bit: he realizes that harry deserves better, so he decides to become better.

and of course- people can write anything and there are beautifully, amazingly written fics everywhere :) i js personally love exploring their dynamic in a more canon-compliant way

me finally understanding why i prefer skk over sigzai even though sigzai is tailor made for me

sigma and dazai see parts of themselves in each other. sigma is a young kid (three year old casino owner is CRAZY) at his core. dazai is too, don’t get me wrong—his constant childish personality is both a facade and the part of himself he wishes he could have back—but it feels very different in a way. dazai puts in so much effort to keep sigma around because sigma is like fifteen dazai. a young child at his heart who has been dealt such a horrible hand that he becomes cold and unwilling.

i think that’s why i cant ship them even if I wanted to—it’s like dazai taking care of himself when he was fifteen. that, and it feels like the friendships formed in primary school. so for me it’s like shipping two eight year olds together if that makes sense. i love their dynamic and i really hope sigma’s alive but skk and their history remain supreme. sigzai shippers ur actually iconic and I understand u sm but this is just my take :] feel free to disagree.

my proof of this lies in the dancing scene mainly. like you could not look me in the eyes and tell me that isn’t primary school kids learning how to waltz. it’s so endearing omg. it’s dazai dragging sigma into this childish display, with sigma protesting like “bitch get ur hands off of me” and dazai just hums along. reminds him of himself. he’d probably react similarly. or maybe sigma’s reaction is akin to chuuya’s, but that’s a WHOLE different can of worms.

For starters, I am going to write out what I think needs to be known about Adrian for all this to hit home properly, I may make a longer post about him if I feel this doesn't cover it but thats for later - Full name: Adrian Getty - Ranking in the House: Duke - Son of Alexis Getty, he is the result of a fling between her and a man from another clan (this makes him literally an official bastard) - He vehemently dislikes his mother, as they have a very unhealthy relationship, considering how, like Samuel, he was turned by his own blood (except fully), and therefore, Alexis counts as his maker, and invokes him as a disciplinary measure. William has not stopped this, because he is unaware. - I have anon asks off so if u really love Alexis im sorry but u cant yell at me for this - He is a guard for Emily Solaire, daughter of William Solaire, mostly as a formality, and to give him a purpose within the clan. Now! Onto the actual dynamic Imagine that your child, and your ex's child, meet each other, and decide to continue your feud. That's how it feels for poor ol' Sam. Samuel and Adrian hate each other. Sort of. Adrian hates Samuel, but Samuel thinks it's really funny.

- They take turns provoking each other, and end up trying to beat each other up.. in front of multiple vampiric nobles.. not a great look for their parents - It's kind of gay? hear me out- - Samuel flirts a lot with Adrian, provoking him into sparring - Adrian is like.. definitely gay but has majorly repressed it, bro is in denial (mainly bc he assumes Alexis won't accept him, and will just harm him further for it :(( ) - Samuel is trying to help him? Probably. but also who wouldn't want to provoke their attractive vampire rival - Ok but he really is trying to help - After a while of meeting up at events, they finally hang around outside of official vampire territory, and mostly just spar, but sometimes talk! like normal folks - One day, after Samuel undergoes some p r e t t y b a d t r a u m a, he's all bandaged up, and Adrian shows up to spar, but decides to leave him to rest, despite Samuel's protests that he's still capable - At their next match, he goes way easier on Samuel, which leads Samuel to question him, saying that he's recovered now - Turns out, seeing him injured made Adrian realize he actually does care about Samuel's wellbeing, and they agree to a truce, deciding to not fight literally every time they see each other - They become friends! And they confide in each other about their problems, creating a really strong bond - They still definitely enjoy fighting though, since they are at about an equal level, making it a fun challenge - Before they became friends, whenever Samuel would show up somewhere (at like a Solaire event or sm) with Vivienne after they'd gotten some kind of treat (slushie etc) Samuel would bring him a lemon snack, and lemon is Adrian's favourite flavour :3 obviously Adrian pretends to be pissed off but he really does appreciate it Now how do their parents feel? Alexis hates everything about them hanging around each other. She repeatedly invokes Adrian to stay away from him and push him away, but Samuel finds a way around the invokation, using their blood bond (yes theyre blood bonded ooooh) to skirt around it Sam? He's kind of unsure at first, and doesn't really trust Adrian, but he warms up to it, and supports Adrian whenever he comes to their house for help or just to hang around. He makes Samuel and Adrian hot cocoa when it's cold out :3 and he's happy that his son is helping Adrian out, even if they had initially been fighting because of their parents' feud. I didn’t draw anything to go with this ask because i told myself id give my hand a break, but I do actually have some recent doodles of Vern and Kitty i was doing in between the lineup so I’ll put them here for a little display ^_^ theyre not in context of anything im about to mention, just some dynamic exploration stuff that are their own whole other rambles

Ok! Readmore time! Paragraphs of nonsense! For your viewing pleasure!

So!! Vernon and Kitty are both employed by True Psychic Tales independently of each other when theyre older. Vernon is an illustrator/interviewer for the graphic novel division and Kitty works in special effects makeup for the more-recent live action film division! They don’t end up crossing paths for a while until being assigned to work together to research stuff for an up-and-coming TPT film project or smth. They become work buddies after reconnecting (though they choose to mostly ignore the fact that they knew each other as kids due to How They Were back then. They’re both very embarrassed about it for numerous reasons)

It becomes commonplace for them to help each other out with projects, and eventually through their research (fact-checking and digging through old psychonauts mission archives) they start to come across old psychonauts files of unfinished or ‘suspicious’ looking missions, ones that normally didnt get the green light to be told in graphic novel form due to the fact that they were inconclusive and, as a result, don’t make for good stories.

Kitty and Vernon end up sort of… picking up on these old missions in their spare time. It’s not psychonauts work but its also not not psychonauts work, you know? They team up to try and work out what lead to dead ends in missions and cross-referencing possibly related stories with other stories, and go out into the field to try and get answers. I picture it a lot in my brain as an episodic mystery series vis a vis scooby doo. They pick their archived mission log of the week to check out, go out, get some answers, and get a conclusion to bring back to TPT and a new graphic novel is made of the story they were able to uncover! With some more overarching plots where they get a little in over their heads here and there.

Franke’s got a bit less of a fleshed out role in all of this atm, mostly because i havent thought of him as much as the other two? My current vague-idea i have is that she and kitty had a falling out during their teen years, and Franke calls Kitty and Vernon falsely claiming to have a lead on a mystery theyve been working on, in order to try and reconnect with Kitty after she stopped talking to him. He has to come clean when whatever she leads them to actually ends up being a real psychic issue, and she has to explain that she doesn’t know what’s going on because she hadn’t actually called in about anything legit.

Franke does end up being a good help despite technically being the reason they got into deep shit in the first place, and Vernon’s probably the one who asks her to stick around (Kitty isn’t against it, but definitely isn’t really all too welcoming about it either.) They definitely have a whole thing where they all get closer and Kitty and Franke get to mend fences (a character arc along the lines of franke realizing he was kind of a hardass who wanted to make up without actually accepting any faults, and some other super impressive character arcs along the way im sure.) And all three of them continue to go on mystery deep-dives and uncover unfinished psychonauts missions!! Wahoo yahoo!!

Mystery incorporated asses! They’re fun, i enjoy them a lot! Hopefully this is some good tidbits of detail for u thank u for asking about them :]

Here are my favorite Gym Leaders (and Nanu) to counterbalance my least favorite Gym Leaders!

Kinda debating whether I should have gone with Koga or Sabrina since he does become an E4 member a generation later, but decided to go with him since that came later. Genuinely tough call between those two, but Koga's design and personality just always appealed to me a little more. (Sabrina did scare the crap out of me as a little kid tho in her anime debut.)

Morty has probably had one of my favorite glow-ups in the series. I always wanted to cosplay him, but our only con is in August and I would probably die of heat stroke. 😅

Probably a weird pick, but I always liked how jovial Wattson was. (Tho there is a bit of a facade there, from what I recall he had a bit of a shady past in ORAS with the New Mauville project. That makes him pretty interesting imo.)

Volkner is such a goddamn menace that Lear probably wants to literally strangle half the time, but I love seeing more of that side of him on Pasio! (There's also him being friends with Flint, and having a fun dynamic with him.)

I will forever remember Brycen just throwing hands with Team Plasma in Generations, completely forgoing having an actual Pokemon battle with them. Instant favorite. Kick their asses!

I really always loved Valerie's elegant design, but her personality and wanting to actually be a Pokemon is a lot of fun too.

I would consider the Kahunas a Gym Leader equivalent too, probably just not counting Hala since he's an E4 member too within that Generation, but Nanu is just cool from looking after Acerola, to being a UB hunter within the International Police alongside Looker in his backstory, to getting one of the most morbidly funny lines in a Pokémon game when he meets the protagonist, to kinda being the first dark-type Gym Leader, I just love the dude and he's my favorite Alolan character! I was so happy when they gave him a supporting role in the postgame of SM.

Our first true Dark-type Gym Leader, Piers is definitely my favorite Galar character overall alongside Raihan, and it was a tough call between them, but I really liked how they gave Piers an extended role in the postgame where he was more actively helping the player deal with the Royal Pain in the Ass brothers, so he was who I went with. It's also adorable how he dotes on/frets over Marnie.

Larry is also an E4 member, so I'll probably do one of these and feature him for my favorite of the Paldea E4 (tough call between him, Rika, and Hassel tho), so Ryme is runner-up. Her battle was just a lot of fun with the crowd hyping you up. She had a cool personality too, I really enjoyed her a lot as a character. They never miss with Ghost users.
