8. if you had to write a sequel to a fic, you’d write one for…

if i *had* to...hmm. well, i have thought about doing a sequel to "Keeping Score", where instead the reader is making Loki count how many orgasms he's had...but so far i've written 0 words for it.

on the other hand, i do already have a whole ass sequel for TLTGYA planned out. which is honestly so insane of me, considering ive only posted 7 chapters of that fic over the course of the last year lmao

19. the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic

so i wouldn't say this was interesting - but i once fell down a weeklong rabbit hole of men's fashion trends from the 1970s. specifically regarding the suits that were worn in London at that time.

and it was all because of this guy, basically :

you see that piece of cloth dangling from his pocket? well i nearly went insane trying to figure out what that was. like - INSANE. i couldn't tell what it was...is it a suspender?! is it a built-in belt that's sewn into his pants that he just hasn't fastened properly?! WHAT THE HELL IS IT?!

i was looking at gifs, i was rewatching the scene of the movie, i was looking at screen grabs, i was EDITING screen grabs to adjust the lighting to see his clothes better, I WAS LOOKING UP ARTICLES ABOUT THE COSTUME DESIGNS FOR THIS MOVIE. I GOT THE FUCKING ORIGINAL NOVEL TO SEE IF J.G. BALLARD EVER DESCRIBED THIS PARTICULAR OUTFIT.

I WAS LOSING MY GODDAMN MIND. I COULDNT FIGURE IT OUT, CLEO.

and the whole purpose of this? i wanted to know because i was modeling Loki's look in Ch. 5/6 of AAO off of this outfit worn by dr. robert laing in high-rise. and i wanted to describe the above outfit in detail because like - it's so sexy.

why is it so sexy? doesn't matter. i wanted Loki to have a thing dangling out of his pocket because it's HOT and i dont even care WHY.

anyway, one morning i was just staring at those gifs, lamenting over my inability to figure out what a single piece of cloth shown in a 35 second scene was - you know, like a normal person. and i realized he didn't have his tie around his neck.

i thought that was interesting, so i started looking at other gifs to look at his tie. and i noticed that when the tie was around his neck, there was nothing dangling from his pockets. but when there's something dangling from his pockets, there was no tie around his neck.

and then it finally hit me, like a fucking freight train full of flared bell bottoms and fringe vests and 79 cent gasoline - he fucking shoved the tie into his pocket.

that's it, that's all that was. it wasn't apart of his pants, it wasn't a common fashion trend for London in the 1970s, it wasn't something the costume department invented - he just shoved the middle part of his tie into his pocket, and those are the ends of the tie dangling down his thigh. so. yeah.

idk why it took me so long to put that together, or why i got so hyperfixated on it. but alllllllllllllll of that insanity had to occur just so i could justify having this single line in the fic:

He tucked the dress shirt into his trousers and he retrieved his tie from the floor, slipping its middle into his pocket and leaving the ends to dangle down the length of his thigh. 

now. was all of that worth it? idk, you tell me 🤣

I'm cheating here by linking the entire series (which is 11 fics of various levels of interconnectedness) but it's so worth it. This series tore my heart out, stomped on it, stuck it back in and gave me a sweet little kiss at the end. Several times over!! I cried like 4 times in one night while binging it!! Also this series contains one of the few OC/Canon stories that I enjoy!!

I actually read Burning Mountain first and then everything else in order and proceeded to LOSE MY GODDAMN MIND reading the first and second fics because OH. That's why the end of BM was so... OHhhhHHhhhh.........

The current fics included in the series are all finished, but I'm not sure if the author intends to come back to it in the future.

In the meantime, their other fics A Little Bit(ty) of Trouble (F) and Cold Blood, Warm Heart (O/U) have also stolen my heart. Those ALSO deal with dark, complicated topics so tread carefully and enjoy!

some things i thought about when finishing season 2 of interview with the vampire

CLAUDIA AND LOUIS have such a fucking unique dynamic and i think the tv show explored it so excellently. their relationship is so unique you cant really put a word to besides some twisted, vampiric father-daughter, brother-sister bond. claudia's character is explored in this context so much more beautifully then how the movie did. the movie made her seem so.. unnatural, even in this supernatural context that is the vampire chronicles. the tv show excellently showed her evolution of character: from her creation (still being truly a child, mentally and physically), showing the depression she got realizing her body would never match the maturity of her mind and the mania that came with those feelings, the resentment of her guardians, knowing they knew she would forever be a confused woman in the body of a teenage girl, to her running away, becoming independent and becoming far more mature than she would have been in those seven years if she had spent them with louis and lestat, returning to take louis off to europe with her, finalizing the development of louis in her mind, who she once saw as a father, she now sees as a brother. i love her dearly and she deserved a life with madeleine, if not just voiding her experience with the dark gift altogether. im not sure if her never becoming a vampire at all would be a better path for her, but im sure it would be less grieving

the show basically sets you up to appreciate armand and hate lestat, but as louis recalls the story, with the help of molloy, brings the truth to light and kind of flips the point of the rest of the story told in that season at the last second

there is no single character in this show that is either completely good or bad (morally grey?) (scratch that, this mainly applies to the vampires, as i can see molloy being an ultimately good-natured character). maybe its just the way the story's told, but theres a time you will hate every character, at least once. you love armand then learn to hate him. and vice versa with lestat! (at least, this is how i felt)

how can I put into words just how mad I am at Kimberly/Anjo Nala's writing, like. no wonder people boil her down to sad depressed baby uwu cringe girlfailure, because all of 2.2 insists on telling you that she's all of that, but then they show you completely different things, the disconnect is insane

this is just me rambling abt r99, I love this game dearly, all my anger comes from a place of I Cant Get This Game Out Of My Head

if you haven't read 2.0 and 2.1, you're going to miss literally the way she:

Happily toys with her targets, taunting Matilda and Joe while they're on the verge of death

Kills Hollick in cold blood while having fun

Is cunning enough to find ways around the orders she gets from that Disciple because of the language barrier / distract Vertin & Argus enough with crocodile tears to cast a teleport skill and get away

in Tristes Tropiques, you're told that she saves Vertin to repay her kindness--you're not given context for this within the Main Story, and this "kindness" is just. letting her leave. this doesn't warrant the attachment Kimberly gets to Vertin in this chapter at all, she has a more meaningful convos with WHITE RUM and LOPERA than VERTIN

2.2 attempts to justify her actions by reminding you that she is a victim of people who use her as a toy and a slave, but it fails to take responsibility for the way THIS patch and ALL PREVIOUS ONES demonstrate that she's still a succubus, a creature whose moral compass is based on the binary of "if I don't like you, then I can kill you. but I won't hurt the people I like because I like them. easy"

again, she kills Hollick so casually, she leaves Joe mortally wounded in front of an injured Matilda and doesn't give a SINGLE fuck about it because she's hungry and was following orders

it's so BORING to see her being reduced to "sad sopping wet cat" by the fandom, but of course this happens, because that's all you get if you only consume the main story at face value, which does not bring up the REST OF HER CHARACTER AS WE'VE SEEN HER

2.2 expects me to believe Kimberly's debt to Vertin was so great that it justifies her attachment to Vertin thru the entire patch, it fails to remind you how this attachment was born because It's Quite Literally A Nothingburger. and you can think of this as "Kimberly has never been shown an OUNCE of respect and dignity in her life, so she will latch onto the FIRST person to do the BARE MINIMUM even if its unreasonable"--but that nameless Manus lady from her own character trailer tells her not to return to the toy because she sees how painful it is for Kimberly, and then Kimberly just goes MONSTER FORM to sleep at the foot of the bed. BUT BY THE END OF THE TRAILER, EVERYONE IN THIS MANUS GROUP EXCEPT MS GRACE HAS BEEN KILLED

and this doesn't work etiher, because we then learn that Kimberly has had a fulfilling and loving life in the heartfelt home, that she found people who cared about her. and we know how guarded she is, every fucking time something happens or someone unfamiliar shows up, Kimberly is SO READY to pull her claws out

I talked about this with some friends earlier and they're so fucking right, it FEELS like they're exclusively focusing on the good aspects of Kimberly that would make you empathize with her and PURPOSEFULLY ignoring the rest of the nuance in her character JUST because they can't allow a Limited 6* to be morally complex or, god forbid, do Horrible Things with a smile on her face. which sounds insane because we have characters like Tuesday, but out of all three limiteds we have, you can see they only took a risk with Lucy, who is also in my opinion the most well-rounded, interesting and cohesive character out of them (not counting 2.5's Liang bc I haven't finished that patch yet teehee)

there's so much emphasis on her sister on all promotional content, but then they also fail to deliver ANYTHING satisfactory on the writing bc everything related to Mata Hari is condensed to one line of "I don't want to be like my sister" and then the Paths of the Past tidbits. there are SO MANY THINGS but none of them work together to form a cohesive, solid patch its INSANE. Lopera is underused, Kimberly is all over the place, Zeno / Igor's motivations were weakly explained and there was zero set up for it other than the vague shit you get in 2.1 , Sotheby is abandoned one quarter into the story as soon as the Duncan / Karson thing is "resolved" and like, this also happened to Lilya in 2.1 but Lilya at least did a handful of things other than to exist so that we can get a sad moment of Sotheby recognizing Mr Karson in Duncan

like. this patch is so undercooked and so dependant on so much extra information you have to learn from events that are NOT going to come back IN MONTHS? which is wild, because the apeiron-vienna-vereinsamt arc is RIGHT there, they do it PERFECTLY there????? what the fuck HAPPENED to 2.2 SPECIFICALLY THAT MADE IT. LIKE THIS?

Chapter Two: Sully's Stick Together

~Y/N's POV~

As soon as we walk inside I feel the thick tension in the air. I notice father sitting down on a mat while mother was pacing around, as soon as she heard the rustling she turns towards us.

Her glare alone made me shake in fear. I love my mother dearly, but it's hard when mother turns out to be a lot scarier then father. In many aspects.

"What were you thinking!!" She exclaims throwing her hands in the air. I look down in sadness. I knew she would be upset, but this upset? I didn't know choosing what is right would cost this much. My ears flatten at her tone.

"M-mother I-"

"No! You listen to me daughter. They are outsiders! Demon blood. I will not allow my daughter, the future Tsahik to be aquatinted with them." She hisses at me making me look up at her. I felt my eyes slightly sting at her words. Mother was very strong willed and she's scolded me many times before. But this time, it felt different. A different type of anger I have not yet seen before.

Tsireya, still by my side also seems to tense up at mothers words. "Ronal..." father mutters warningly. Mother scoffs at her mate  "-and you! How could your put our children in charge of those demon children!" She rages, turning towards father. Tsireya frowns at her choice of words. It felt so harsh and filled with venom.

My ears twitch at her words. 'Demon children? They cannot be defined by another's mistakes. It's unfair to insult them like that! Even I have limits'  I think to myself. Taking a deep breath I take a step towards mother, her ears twitch at the sound of my steps.

"Mother, you can't say that to children. They are different yes, but they can learn!" I argue making her turn back to us, my ears flatten under her stare. At my protest father stands up and walks to me, placing a hand on my shoulder. I flinch slightly, scared of whether he would back me up or side with mother.

"Ronal, I promised Toruk Makto that our children will take care of his. Which they will. You must allow that-" father glances our way, "-None of their Tsahik or Olo'eyktan training will be effected. I can assure you" he says firmly. Father is a man of his word, if he told the clan that Toruk Makto and his family is to be welcomed, the clan will welcome him. But I know, deep down, that many will not treat them as one of our own.

Mother looks over at us three, her eyes straining form each one of us. Her eyes linger on me a while longer, making me aware her anger was directed at me. I look down in shame.

'What was I supposed to do. As future Tsahik I cannot discriminate on who needs help...even if they do have demon blood' 

Mother turns to father with her shoulders relaxing a bit, her expression softening a little. "Do what you must, but don't get too friendly. I won't allow it!" Mother says before storming out of the hut. As soon as she's out I notice Tsireya let out a sigh of relief, whispering a silent prayer to Ewya. She looked as though her life flashed before her eyes. I couldn't help but chuckle at my little sisters panicked state.

"Thank you Ma Sempul" I say looking at father. He looks towards my sister and I sighing softly. "You're mother is right about a few things. Please be careful" he says softly caressing my cheek. I grin at him, I love my father with all my heart. He was a strong and wise leader. But I lived for moments like these, when he became so soft spoken and kind.

Father looks behind us  gesturing towards two woven baskets filled with fruits. "Daughter, I would like you to give this to the Sully's. It will be wise to make a good impression" he explains making Tsireya snicker at him, to which I give her a confused glance. "Oh, I'm sure they had a great impression on Y/N already" she teases me.

Replaying the teasing I had to endure earlier I elbow her out of spite, effectively shushing her. "Go now, tell them about lessons as well. The sooner they learn the better. Your mother will ease up once she doesn't see them as a threat anymore" father says ignoring Tsireya effort to rile me up. 

"Of course father" I reply picking up one of the baskets. Tsireya grabs the basket closest to her and walks out. I turn to follow her stopping when father puts his hand on my shoulder, holding me back.

"Yes father?" I ask looking up to him in question. "Just wanted to check up on my brave daughter. I know how much you admire Toruk Makto. I assume you'll be asking about his adventures. Hm?" He says with a slight teasing tone. I let out a nervous laugh, my admiration over the legend was known throughout the village. It took everything in me not to bombard the chosen one with questions.

I guess I've been found out. "Just make sure not to annoy the man. They've all been through a lot. Help them out with whatever the need. Hm?" He advices wisely. Nodding at his words I walk out the Marui following my sister towards the Sully's. "Excited?" Tsireya teases again. I nod in reply looking forward. Feeling a slight spring in my steps.

~Third Person POV~

"Alright Sully's, fall in" Jake instructs as they all gather around. Lo'ak trails behind, gazing at the water below. "Remember? Family meeting" Neteyam says pulling his brother into the group. Taking a seat resembling a circle. They all lean in, settling down.

"Alright, I need you kids on your best behavior. I mean it.-" Jake looks at Lo'ak, making the poor boy feel insulted. "-learn fast. Pull your weight. And DONT cause trouble. Got it?" Jake says, looking at his children. Especially Lo'ak. Neteyam nudges the younger boy making him roll his eyes.

Kiri let's out a sigh as her response, tightening her shawl around her. 

"Yes Sir" Neteyam and Lo'ak reply simultaneously. Neteyam pauses as he looks at the floor. He couldn't help thinking about the time a certain H/C girl said the very same words to his father out of nervousness. She was something else.

Her ears twitching along with her light blue complexion turning light purple due to embarrassment, made the boy feel light headed.

The moment they had landed Neteyam felt fear, worry and concern for his family's safety. All those eyes on them, none of which held anything but  fear and disgust made him weary. It didn't help when two boys around their age began openly taunting them.

Before Neteyam could snap back at the boys,  something else had caught his eye. He saw a girl, emerge from the water. She was accompanied by another girl. But this girl was, to simply put it. Was out of this world. Her hair fell around her face as she graciously tucked it behind her ear. The water cascaded down her body, which only made her figure that much alluring. It's was like the wind got knocked out of him at the marvelous sight.

All Neteyam could remember was the rapid beating of his heart, the blood coursing through his veins. And the beautiful E/C eyes that happen to catch his stare. Neteyam wanted to look away, out of modesty and respect. But no matter how much he tried, he couldn't. It was as if he had heard a siren's call. And he had no choice but answer it.

It was when the girl looked away,  then he was able to break free from her hold. Before he could look forward he heard his younger brother whisper "woah.." under his breath.

Guess he wasn't the only one mesmerized.

Neteyam tried to focus but the pestering from the annoying voices almost made him react, that is until the girls from before stopped them. He could not forget the way Y/N glanced at them. Acknowledging his brother and then him.

Up close she looked breathtaking. Her skin was light blue, almost teal like the rest of her tribe. What made her stand out was the white speckles scattered along her body along with her white patterns. It looked like stars to him, glittering, gaining his attention. He couldn't stop staring at those eyes that seem to watch his every move, so innocent and full of wonder.

As the discussion continued Neteyam was taken back by how head strong Y/N was regarding his family. How she stood up for them. She was the first one to accept them, and that left a mark. In his mind and his heart.

Neteyam frowns to himself. He is still yet to thank her for what she has done. She left so quickly with her sister he didn't have time to express his gratitude.

"Neteyam! Lo'ak! Are you even listening!?" Jake says sternly, and loudly. Both boys jump at the same time. "S-sorry sir. My head was elsewhere" Lo'ak mutters making the older boy frown slightly. What was Lo'ak day dreaming about? Neteyam remembered how the girls caught his eye as well. But who was he looking at? Y/N or Tsireya?

"It's fine, I just want you guys to stay sharp alright?" Jake says one more time. Neytiri looks at the children, "What does your father always say?" She asks softly, meeting her mates gaze. "Sully's stick together" they respond timidly, in broken words.

 "Try that again, with feeling" Jake encourages, his hands grabbing Neytiri's as reassurance.

Jake knew it must have been harder for her, leaving all she knew, her entire family for a new beginning in a foreign place. But he was grateful. Grateful for the fact she had agreed, thankful to Ewya for watching out for his family.

“Sully's stick together!" The children say in unison receiving smiles in return.

"Alright, dismissed" Jake says before the group disperse. Neteyam and Lo'ak both leave the Marui to get some air. They find a seat at the edge, their feet in the water. The long days worth of flight and travel had finally caught up to them. Making them feel exhausted to the bone.

"Neteyam..." Lo'ak mummers his eyes on the water. Neteyam perks up, looking at his brother.

"Yes?" He asks nudging him, letting him know he was listening. Attentively.

"I-I...I don't know. I'm scared of what's to come. What if we cannot learn their way?....Will they kick us out?" He asks softly. He didn't even voice the main thought that kept repeating itself in his mind. 'What if I continue to be a disappointment?'

He didn't want to voice that out to Neteyam, in fear of what his brother would say. Being the perfect son that he already is.

Neteyam sighs out loud. "It's ok to be scared. I'm scared, so is dad. We all are. That's more reason to work harder. To make sure we do our best here. Right?-" Neteyam sees Lo'ak relax a bit at his words. "-And I don't think they'll kick us out for that...At least I hope not" he says softly unsure of himself.

Lo'ak smiles softly to himself turning to his brother. "Plus Y/N is vouching for us. Maybe we do have a chance?" Lo'ak says for extra assurance. Neteyam smiles at his younger brother, who seems a bit happier then before.

"Ha, yea. If she's our teacher I'm sure she'll take good care of us" Neteyam responds. He is shocked with what he said, it was if he knew her. Even though they just met. His heart rate increased. 'Why am I feeling this way?' Neteyam wonders confused. 

Both brothers let out heavy sighs. Looking out to the sea and Metkayinan's. As soon as they hear footsteps their ears perk up, looking at the direction of the steps. To their surprise, they see Y/N and Tsireya walking towards them. Both holding baskets, arrayed with many fruits and vegetables. Native to the village.

"Oh! Hello!" Y/N says catching sight of them. The boys get up quickly as the girls walk closer. Neteyam feels hot all over gazing at the smaller female Na'vi. He hated the way his stomach flipped each time she spoke, or moved....or even too a deep breath in. 'I must be sick or something. Maybe I need a good nights rest'

"This is for your family. Just to get you comfortable" Tsireya explains. Both bothers nod at her looking down at the baskets, they looked full to the brim. It must've went heavy,

"I'll hold it for you!" Lo'ak pipes up, taking Y/N's basket without waiting for the surprised girl to reply. Neteyam is also shocked by how fast his brother moved. "I can take that. Come inside" Neteyam says softly, taking Tsireya's basket following his brother inside the hut. After both sisters follow them inside Jake and Neytiri look up in question.

"Hello! We came to drop off some fruit" Y/N pipes up. Neteyam felt himself melt. 'Why is she acting cute...is she cute?...dammit, she IS cute'  Neteyam argues with himself setting the basket down beside the other one. Neteyam notices the glances his little brother gave towards Y/N. Making him frown slightly.

Up until now, Neteyam could have sworn his brother was looking at Tsireya. But boy was he wrong. "Thank you. We humbly accept. Please let Tonowari and Ronal know of our appreciation" Jake says as Neytiri smiles softly at the girl. She will not forget how a little girl like her stood up for her family. Neytiri was in her debt.

Y/N nods, "It's not much but I'll let them know. Now please rest. We'll be on our way" Tsireya says, her smile wide and she nods towards each family member she made eye contact with. Just as she's about to leave the hut, Y/N stops her. "S-sir-" Jake gives Y/N a playful look as a warning. Neteyam could have sworn his heart stopped when her voice trembled. It was so adorable.

"-Jake. I was wondering if you're ok with your children starting lessons-" Y/N is yet again cut off. But by Lo'ak this time "Yes! We'll go now!" He says standing up, forgetting the exhaustion he felt earlier. Neteyam mutters a quite 'Skxawng' under his breath at his brother actions. He couldn't be more obvious.

Y/N heard Neteyam, she was already trying to hold back laughter when Lo'ak leapt to his feet but hearing his older brothers comment threw her off , which lead to Y/N's uncontrollable fit of giggles. "-I-I meant tomorrow. If we could start the lessons tomorrow" Y/N manages between laughs. Tsireya chuckles at Lo'ak eagerness to learn.

"I'm sure your exhausted from the journey. Take your time relaxing and resting today. We'll look forward to lessons tomorrow?" Tsireya suggests as both girls finally calm down from their shared amusement. Jake nods at them approvingly. "Of course. Again, thank you" he states as the girls usher themselves out biding quick goodbyes.

Neteyam's eyes lingered on Y/N as she left making him let out a tiny sigh. "Ok you knuckle heads. We are going to head for bed. You'll need rest for tomorrow's lesson" Jake interrupts their thoughts as both boys nod, heading to their individual mats on the floor. As they lay there, they couldn't stop the feeling of excitement over lessons. For the first time in forever, they didn't mind extra hard work.

Killer doesn't stand both ready for combat and to flee at a moments notice (Beast wouldn't flee, but despite that, I think its always ready to). Dark just backs away slowly I think, lowering his hands and doing everything possible to communicate he's not a threat. This allows Beast a bit of extra time to take in what's around, just incase its missed something in its initial assessment and. And they're both wearing handwraps, Dark's taken their bracelet off and whoever was here before Beast tied their jacket round their waist. Beast doesn't need to protect here, but it does now need to apologise I'm guessing Beast remembers it can speak while fronting from time to time right? Even if it feels Odd. I've got the mental image of Dark cooking something for himself, except Beast ALSO likes it alot alot and Dark just hears "Please." from behind him. Turns around to see Beast staring at him like its trying to beam the thought directly into Darks mind. They understand, and Dark maybe even gets a "Thank You" after the foods made. WOW. HI!!!! OH MY GOD. HELLO. you are literally the most bestest person ever for being so curious and allowing me to speak so much WOW okay let me break all this down.

putting everything once more under a cut, but a breakdown here is i FIRST go through unrelated things such as helping a bit with your confusion on terms and meanings, before getting into the actual AVA stuff, so if anyone wants to skip that, there Is gonna be a linebreak ^_^ a lot of it is just definition talk so its probably boring if you already know this stuff lol. if youve come just for the headcanon, feel free to skip down to it! <3

FIRST ! since you were a bit confused, i would like to say; DID specifically stands for "Dissociative Identity Disorder." It is probably the most well known of the disorders that would constitute as being a "system" disorder, if you will. In the past it has been referred to by other things such as MPD, or multiple personality disorder, but that is since considered inaccurate and incredibly out of date.

OSDD, or Other Specified Dissociative Disorder, is another dissociative disorder as the name implies. In one specific case, is similar to DID in that a major symptom is the forming of distinctive parts - or alters - but has enough differences that it's been classified as it's own thing [though iirc, some professionals are debating if the distinction is necessary? Honestly I'm not a psychologist so I can't really comment on that part, but I felt it was worth noting that this was brought up once or twice.]

The distinction here is this; DID is usually diagnosed when there are at Least two distinct "parts" to a person, often being two [or more] entirely seperate people, and is paired with amnesia. This is not at all everything to do with the disorder, as it's a massively complex disorder with plenty of symptoms, but it is this specific symptom set in its most basic explanation. OSDD however can vary! OSDD-1 is specifically defined by wikipedia as when one is experiencing a "sub thresh-hold" to DID. There's way more "types" to OSDD, and as such I am not nearly equipped enough to talk about 2-4, but chances are if you're speaking to a system who has it, they will usually have either OSDD-1A, or -1B. These two aren't technically real diagnostic terms, they're moreso used to describe a set of symptoms. 1A is defined as having less disticnt alters than DID or 1B. 1B is specified by a lack of complete blackouts, aka amnesia, though they may instead experience grayouts and emotional amnesia. To be fair in at least my case specifically, grayouts are pretty common rrrregardless? But honestly that might just be a My Own Thing issue and a case of overlapping symptoms than anything else, so don't take my word for it entirely lol I get complete blackouts and grayouts and its soooo miserable helppp [I'm being lighthearted in tone on purpose you're allowed to laugh ^_^ /gen]

Lastly, the term "singlet" is an unofficial term that a lot of systems online use to refer to people who do not have alters. I'm like 99.9% sure it's like, never used in a professional setting, but I'm also Not a psychologist, again, so I have no clue if it's ever used offline. It's not anything negative, just a descriptor term the same way many other descriptor terms are used :]

Okay that's about it for explaining things. If anything else confuses you for any reason please don't be afraid to ask! And if you wanna look into it yourself, all I'll say is use literally anything OTHER than social media for research, there's a crazy amount of misinfo, especially on Tumblr or Tiktok.

Onto the questions and scenarios -- for questions, I will once again copypaste and bold them. For scenarios, I'll probably end up putting in a screenshot [with IDs, don't worry] for clarities sake.

1: Does Dark know Chosen is a system? Or a part of a system? Unsure of the correct way to call it. What does he think of each of them if yes?

For a very long time, Dark had NO idea Chosen was part of a system. [And either descriptors work, I honestly use both depending on which sounds less clunky at the time lol].

Dark had just assumed Chosen had some odd "quirks" here and there for ages, and didn't really push too hard whenever "Chosen" ended up getting really quiet, or more jumpy. I def agree with your HC that Dark probably doesn't have very many interactions [if any at all] with sticks outside of Chosen, so at most he just assumes this is normal.

Of course eventually, they do end up telling him - it takes a lot of effort on their part to build up the courage to do it and not immediately chicken out, because this is a Pretty Personal Thing after all, but like. Dark takes it so much better than they were expecting? And he's also very open to accomodating the other two with very little issue. Even if it takes time for Killer [and even Beast] to relax enough around him, and even if he does still have some trouble telling who's-who at first, he does try his best. At the end of the day, the three are his family, and he DOES care about them.

While we already know [or can at least infer] what he feels about Chosen, he does have different thoughts about the other two. You're 100% right this part specifically:

Dark and Killer do have quite a bit of overlapping interests, they realize once they get to talking to each other! They honestly bounce off each other scarily well, and are the type of people to start a stupid bit as a joke and just keep adding onto it for like, twenty minutes. For the most part, Dark's perception of Killer is positive! He's also gotten a bit into the habit of being A Bit Obviously Noisy around the house once realizing Killer's issue with being snuck up on or surprised - previously, Dark was unintentionally VERY quiet. He's naturally sorta light on his feet, lacking footsteps most of the time, and ends up startling most people. After both a discussion and accidental event, he starts trying to be more purposefully loud in their home, especially if he's somewhere Killer can't see, or has to be behind them for one reason or another. Nothing anything TOO loud - no slamming doors or footsteps, no yelling, just casual noise. Jewelry that clacks together or just humming a song.

With Beast, he's more cautious. He understands its purpose, and why it's there, and for the most part, Dark doesn't really.... saying he doesn't mind makes it seem like something it's not but honestly I can't find a better way to word it. He doesn't mind its staring or its lack of speaking, and I'm also gonna pull up another part you said because honestly while I initially wanted Beast to be 100% quiet I'm a massive fan of this little scenario and so I'm adopting it into my worldview immediately;

So yeah Dark is like, completely on board with Beast's more odd traits, once it actually is able to relax for once. I'd say Beast is probably the one Dark knows the least just by way of it rarely ever fronting outside of the more dire circumstances. He knows enough from what he can piece together from his own memories of it, plus any resulting messages from Chosen and Killer depending on how much they know about it at that point in time. However, if asked personally and privately, Dark would express a bit of sympathy, maybe worry for Beast. He understands what it's like to be seen as a sort of... villainous person - not to the severity that Beast had been treated, but he can sympathize. And while he leans into it, he knows that it's the last thing Beast - or Chosen and Killer for that matter - would want for themselves. He sometimes wishes he could do more to help it, but often refrains from trying, knowing that any pushing could absolutely do more harm than good at this point, no matter how much he wants to try. It's a tricky situation, and it's a very unsteady trust they have, and he's not willing to rock the boat too hard and end up hurting the three. As I love to say about my favorite antagonist characters; he's a villain, not a monster, he's got standards lol

1.5: Assuming Dark DOESNT know Chosen is/ is apart of a system (still don't know the correct way to call it), how does he react to switches? Or Killer and Beast in general?

Switches, in general, are meant to be pretty covert of a thing. If all goes right, no one should be able to tell, at the very least not right away, that a switch occured. Thus, before Dark learned about everything, a few little things did tip him off as to something being a bit.. off with "Chosen." He'd notice a lot of forgetfulness of things that happened literally yesterday, or sudden preferences doing a complete 180 into something else, or, like you mentioned, complete silence all of a sudden. If it's a big enough and sudden enough change then he would definitely notice how odd it is and just kinda file it away for later, thinking "oh that was really strange, maybe I should ask about that?"

Yeah honestly all of this is pretty accurate to how that'd go down pre-knowing. Like I said Dark definitely hasn't interacted with very many people [if anyone at all] outside of Chosen and thus does think this is probably normal to a degree, but the first few times [more like a couple hundred times] it DOES kinda hurt a bit and cause some confusion before they can work something out for it.

2: ...I'm guessing Dark was also in this list yes? Beast was co-conscious during AVA3 if i remember correctly and so saw Dark was willing to help and defend. Even if Beast didn't trust them 100% it didn't think of them as a threat right? Maybe even considered him an ally

Oh yeah, for a while after it was able to let go of the constantly moving train of thought that consisted exclusively of just "protect" and "danger," it did for a long time consider Dark trustworthy enough to feel safe around and to relax, even if it was just the tiniest amount. It's almost always on guard, but... well, surely it can let Dark watch its back just this once, right? It was a sort of "well, you're not hurting me, and we are fighting the same guy, so......." sort of allyship at first. It probably definitely helped that for a long time between AVA3 and Showdown, Dark and Chosen probably had pretty relaxed lives outside of the whole tormening the internet thing. They probably didn't really do anything that'd warrent the feeling of danger in their free time, so on the days when Beast would be the one jolting awake at night, it'd be able to, slowly, calm down. Plus, with Dark being so open minded about things that help Beast instead of hurt it, and the way the other two seemed fine with him, it did begin to trust him.

2.5: And if yes, Dark was on the Trustworthy list, what about the virabot thing made Beast decide "Hmmm no he's an enemy actually"?

Oh god, the Virabots. Yeah that whole thing was a complete MESS for the three honestly. It was less the presence of the Virabots themselves and moreso the actions that Dark had made them do against Chosen specifically. Until then, Chosen was mostly cautious about them - he knew they could be dangerous, but at that point still believed he could talk Dark out of his plan. Along with this, Dark is kinda the worlds most emotionally constipated guy ever, and has ZERO skills in talking about his plans and feelings without requiring people to do a five page deconstructive essay to decipher what he means about it. To Chosen, the second that first Virabot ended up trying to actively kill him, was when the seed of doubt kinda bloomed. He was worried then, and had the idea that yes, Dark is still a killer, he is destructive, always has been, and is fully capable of hurting him - or worse, if he somehow got the upper hand. Chosen knows this fact very, very well. It was quite literally their first ever interaction.

But he still wanted to believe Dark wouldn't do that.

Until he got quite literally dogpiled, of course. I'd say the second Dark started actively sic'ing Virabots at him was the moment that Chosen pulled back and Beast shoved itself into front going "okay, this is serious, this is not the person we trusted, because our Dark wouldn't hurt us like this." It was vehement denial mixed with a sort of bitter "I told you so" feeling. It saw this coming, it let its guard down, it trusted someone, and now it was being attacked by something it could barely take on as one, nevermind tens, maybe hundreds. It was being attacked by Dark. So it had to fix that mistake and remove the threat at the same time, if that makes sense.

^ Literally 100% you read my mind anon this has totally happened before, especially more in the early years of the two living together. You described this really well actually, and the way you described Beast's stance - ready for combat AND read to flee at a moments notice - is exactly how I picture it;; it's always ready to fight back and lash out, but moreso in that cornered way where it's obvious it also sorta wants to book it after getting enough hits in to where it'll be confident that whatevers after it Isn't Moving Towards It anymore.

I really don't have much to add to that scenario because you are literally so correct I am shaking you by the shoulders [positive tone] this is SO REAL RAAGH. Yeah ^_^

Honest to god yeah that's probably exactly how he ended up knowing. I think like I mentioned earlier, it's kinda a case of a bunch of little things adding up before they eventually tell him any details that help with understanding, but before that Dark definitely has his suspicions and it's totally because of Killer 😭 Unfortunately bro is NOT very subtle if they're not putting their focus into masking /j

It'd probably be something small and inconsequential and silly, really. Something simultaniously dumb as hell but also a massive show of trust, y'know? I'd have to think more on the details but I like to think that as Killer gets more comfortable, and more sure that they don't have to pretend to be Chosen to still be safe, they let go of the masking little by little, with small things - maybe a preference in food or drink here and there, or small comments about interests that they know are much too distinct from anything Chosen ever expressed liking before. It feels more natural the more they do it, before they eventually forget to mask around Dark, because it feels more comfortable to them being themselves.

Oh yeah for sure. 5 minutes at least, paired with that sorta laughy halfhearted apology for laughing, followed by the occasional snort or huff or laugh every few minutes after that whenever Dark thinks about it for the rest of the day. Killer is not mad at the laughing but they are in fact waiting for the day they can do the same towards Dark ☝ every day they hope he trips stupidly [JOKE]

3: Who was fronting during The Box? You mentioned Chosen during Wanted, and I'm assuming its either him or Killer during the beginning of the box. But once they realise they're trapped? When Chosen turns to Victim in the episode? I can see that being Beast. I know shifts aren't always easy to spot but if Beast was going to come in at any time, it was when they realised they were trapped.

You're pretty correct here; for a lot of The Box, it's primarily Chosen, though Beast is definitely doing the metaphorical "hovering ominously in the back" thing thanks to the chase and injury sustained during Wanted. It's not quite reaching the "feeling like their life is in danger" levels at this point, but it's close and Chosen is feeling very dizzy, thanks.

You're also very correct in your assessment that realizing they're trapped is what, primarily, causes Beast to switch in; collectively, they have a VERY bad history with being trapped or imprisoned. Honestly I feel like they're actually pretty claustrophobic - I don't really see anyone mention this too much, but when Chosen got caught by the firewall in AVA2, he LITERALLY gets locked up inside a little box. It's probably cramped and dark and obviously unbreakable. That 100% left an impact on him - and in this HC, his system as a whole never really escaped that being a triggering thing.

To Beast, it feels very obviously trapped - cornered and contained much like it had been when it first formed. To it, this isn't a fight to JUST protect, but a fight to save their life. It feels genuinely like that, even if it wont die here, it'll just be imprisoned all over again, chained down and used for anothers gain. And it wants anything BUT that. It will fight tooth and nail - quite literally, might I add - to get out of there, because it believes that the second it gives up it is over for them. It has no idea what Victim wants from it -- and so it defaults to that Victim wants to fully and entirely kill them.

4: Speaking again of the box, when they realise that they are NOT beating Victim, does someone elbow Beast out of the way? To try and escape? Because fighting has proven entirely futile? Or is someone co-conning (I assume that means co-conscious) with it and convincing it to pull away, since in the original post, Vic was talking to Beast while 'Chosen' was tied up on the chair

[You're right, co-conning is short for co-conscious ^^]

Honestly probably yes? For a good while it's still fighting back, or at the very least sticking around to take the brunt of whatever Victim is throwing at them - being a protector doesn't only mean physically, it also means mentally. Sometimes things may not hurt someone on the outside, but could wreck them on the inside, and they need someone more equipped with dealing with these things - or, more crudely, Used To dealing with these things - to take over.

When it becomes apparent that Beast cant fight its way out of this, someone - though I haven't really settled on who - definitely tries to front to try other methods of escape. Maybe it's Chosen, maybe it's Killer, honestly realistically they wouldn't even be able to tell either under all that stress. There's definitely someone giving passive-influence to try and escape though. Beast is determined to intimidate Victim, and to keep the others from having to experience anything rough, but... it's a bit hard to stick around when everything in your body - externally, and internally - is screaming for you to get the hell out of there, in one way or another. In short it's having an awful time and unfortunately the others are there for the ride /j

5: Beast comes out when they're trapped or in a fight for their life, but does it (and the others) have any positive triggers that will draw them out? I've heard of music being used, or toys, maybe also food? Idk, but if you have something in mind for these three I'm curious what it is

Oh yeah positive triggers can definitely happen with systems! At the end of the day they do still trigger out an alter so it can still be pretty disorienting at first, so I will say it's mostly [at least and my and my friends cases irl] only used either when we are completely okay with it [both system-wise and alter-wise] or when whoever's in front is having a rough time and kinda needs a break, but doesn't exactly want to stress anyone else out via a negative trigger, if that makes sense.

However comma ! That does not mean I can't give positive triggers to my little guys here. Because I do think they deserve good things.

You're right in that things like music, toys, and even food are really common ones, at least in my experience and from what I've seen. Sometimes it can also be certain people! It really varies quite a bit, so when developing a headcanon that relates to that, there's quite a bit of wiggle room lol

I think it'd be slightly different for these three depending on who it is;

Chosen would probably have some related to music, and maybe a more niche one related to welding. Music because I feel like he's the type of guy to get comfort from listening to songs he loves on loop, and welding because he probably heard the sound a lot while Dark was working in his little workshop, either on the Virabots or on other such projects. [Sidenote, welding as a sound is something I'm actually pretty fond of myself, but if anyone's not a big fan of the sound of sparking, or repetative "buzzing", you probably won't like it if you look it up lol. It's not too loud on video, but I can see how it'd get annoying or give someone a headache.]

Killer is definitely the more food oriented one in all honesty. Maybe even specific books it's read? Certain meals that it enjoys are primarily it though - maybe things that it's made with Dark that it has a positive association with? Or things that it's tried once or twice, REALLY loved, and ended up always snagging front when they eat it because of that association. That kinda thing lol.

Beast is... kinda tricky to think of actual positives for? Not because it doesn't enjoy anything - honestly I think it's the type to enjoy slow and relaxing activities that it doesn't need to put a lot of thought into. Moreso because it's hard to pin down anything that would actively trigger it out just to experience. I am open to suggestions here! But for now I'll probably have to leave it at just, if it has any, it hasn't found out what they are yet </3

6: Can they feel the emotions of the other alters? I'm guessing they can feel the emotions of whoevers fronting, because physical sensations, but if someone was fronting and the other two were hovering over their shoulder so to speak, would they be able to tell how they feel?

Unrelated to this question but I had no idea emotions were a physical sensation that people felt until like, a few months ago, like it was just baffling to me it's kinda funny now that I think abotu it.

ANYWAYS; honestly I'd say yes, to some degree! Passive influence is pretty common in a few systems - you'll probably hear it talked about similiarly to how you asked about it, along with people saying something like, for example, they couldn't decide what to order from a restraunt, but someone else in the system wanted [this meal], and thus there was that passive influence to get it. Not sure if that makes sense but that's basically what that can feel like - and since it applies to things like opinions sometimes, it can also presumably apply to emotions!

It'd be less of a "they can feel each others exact thoughts and feelings about this thing if they're co-conning" thing, and more of a, for instance, "Chosen doesn't have any real strong feelings about the show they're watching, but Killer on the other hand really likes it, so Chosen feels a bit of that secondhand enjoyment and positivity towards it." Sorta an ambigious background feeling if that makes any sense. They do share a brain and body after all, so sometimes things do get passed and shared that way. Okay I think that's all once more, I started writing this literally as soon as you sent these in and it's been nearly 2 hours so I've probably talked your ear off [talked your... eyes out? How does that phrase translate into text. Much to think about ...] but once again literally thank you so much for being so curious, and it's really not an issue that you've sent such long asks!!!

I adore talking about this headcanon a lot. I've said it before but this HC means a lot to me as a system; we don't get a lot of representation [nevermind good representation] so a lot of the times I like to try and find a character I feel it would fit the best, and then delve into it there. This HC is very very special to me and has a very special place in my heart, so seeing not only so many people accepting and positive about it, but also your own massive curiosity and engagement, really makes me happy!

Plus, ever since I posted this HC ages and ages ago in the community I've seen a ton more pop up every once and a while. It does make me pretty happy to see HCs like this be so widely accepted and appreciated. Along with that, I've also seen other systems in the fandom get super excited about this HC!!! And I'm just so so so happy that my silly little headcanon about sticks in this guys head can make other people feel more seen. I think it's the highest compliment to anything I've ever made. :]

i hope you guys like this one its kinda my first i put a lot of work into it also i'm just not that strong of a writer so enjoy :)

you and tom have been dating for a good long while almost a year. you still don't live together, but tom basically lives with you with how much he sleeps over.

tom had been off on a job for a few days, so you guys have not talked much and you could not see him you missed him dearly. getting desperate to see him in some way or another you go on tik tok and watch edits people made of him, there was a lot of them it made you kind of sad to see so many people who like tom and that he's with you when there are so many people who are better looking then you who want him. you roll your eyes and get those thoughts out of your head.

you kept watching until you hear the door close lightly he's home you look up and there he is you lock your phone and turn it over.

"Hello my love I missed you," you say getting off the bed to hug and kiss him. he gives you a short kiss then says in a curious tone

"darling what were you doing on your phone that made you turn it over so quick" he looks at you with a semi frown

"nothing love" you turn around so he cant see your blush and you gather some bedclothes he left here for him to sleep in tonight "here you are I'm sure you're exhausted" you gave him the clothes with a kiss then got in bed.

tom started changing with you watching it was kind of normal you could not keep your eyes off of his god-like figure. once he was done he turned around and looked at you with a serious face.

like. okay, most of this is just me relaying what happened back to me cause frankly cant believe it.

( there's more talk than just the ending i promise -)

such, internalized ''homophobia'' ( i add quotation marks because they are not actually gay cause they're lil non binary guys but it is reflecting that ) and religious trauma .. that hurt so much when aziraphale just didn't know what to do, he put his hands on crowley briefly and then took them away, you could just tell what was happening and that hurt so much.

you could see how much crowley got affected by this

and then he expected aziraphale to see his side. to understand and then aziraphale would appologise, and they'd make up, and get an alcoholic breakfast at the ritz, just like they always did . but then he saw them walking out together. showing aziraphale choosing the " possiblity" of making something better of heaven, maybe stopping the destruction of earth completely. but crowley knows that it wont happen like that. crowley understands what heaven and hell are really like, but aziraphale is just so afraid of the thought.

crowley turned down hell for aziraphale and immediately thought aziraphale would do the same for him. they'd always been there for each other why could it have to stop then.

may you be forgiven is what aziraphale says when he does something that aziraphale thinks god would disagree on. or that heaven might disapprove. ( not of course including communicating with the enemy ) but then , a demon kissed him and he didn't pull away, he didnt try to stop it he froze. Let's make this clear, aziraphale very clearly loves crowley dearly, he is in love with crowley, but he still believes in heaven, and is stuck in his ideals of things of heaven is " the good guys " and hell is " the bad guys "

Crowley knows far better, he's known since he first got thrown out of heaven just for asking questions and throwing in some suggestions. he knows that neither one of heaven and hell are the good or bad guys. He sees the world in " a very dark shade of grey " while honestly being the nicest out of the angels and demons combined. ( tied with aziraphale i suppose:3 ) he knows that he loves aziraphale. he has for a very long time now. he knows aziraphale loves him back, at least he thought he did.

aziraphale touching his lips after in shame and doubt and confusion he doesn't know what to do. then he throws on a smile and , he goes back to heaven.

the fact that aziraphale said that he had nothing he needed to go to heaven with hurt. everything in that scene hurt but geez, he only wanted crowley, he only needs crowley, but he really fxcked that up huh. love you more than the stars aziraphale but GOSH DAMn you help one gay couple get together and then cant get with your demon boyfriend ??? ( once again they arent gay, i know - )

i bet crowley regrets letting him go on that walk, huh.

also i love his hair he's a goof ball, honestly reminds me of david playing Phineas fog in around the world in 80 days, cause he's so excited by the new world and what it can do and what's out there to explore!! That's why hes so upset about the world ending at the start of it, he doesn't think the stars should go unappreciated, he doesn't think all the wonders of the sky should just be for staring at, he wants to watch it all happen.

Okay so, from lowest to highest, so far, my favorite musicals are:

5. Tick, Tick, Boom!

Especially as an artist, I absolutely LOVED this film. It's like a love letter to all artists. Of course non-artists can love and relate to this musical, but there's just something special it has for artists specifically. Plus the CINEMATOGRAPHY?? the PERFORMANCES?? ANDREW GARFIELD???? THE SONGS???? UGH. PHENOMENAL

4. Hamilton: An American Musical

This is the only musical I've ever been blessed enough to actually see LIVE! And it was literally one of the greatest experiences of my life and made my desire to see musicals live EVEN MORE PAINFUL. BECAUSE THIS WAS WHAT I WAS MISSING OUT ON!! But yeah even if it's not at the top of this list I clearly still love this musical so much. This was one of my most powerful and longest-lasting hyper-fixations ever, and also the musical that actually really got me into writing fanfiction! So on top of the amazing music (my go to hip-hop and rap songs fr LOLLL most of my rapping ability comes from singing and rapping Hamilton with my siblings and cousins), performances, themes of LEGACY and FORGIVENESS??? AUGGHHH, i am also really grateful to it for awakening the writer in me.

3. Les Miserables

I remember when I first started listening to this I was like. How is there not a single MEH song in this musical??? It was literally banger after banger after banger LIKE BRUH. I also remember when I finally finished listening to the musical, it was when my family and I lined up all night for some basketball tickets. And I finished listening to the musical when I woke up really early in the morning for my turn in waiting in line, and I was screaming at myself not to cry because I was literally surrounded by people. But anyway yeah I love this musical so much and while it's not as deeply personal as Hamilton (at least not yet), I think it definitely belongs in this spot. Listen specifically the THEMES AND MOTIFS ARE WHAT MAKE ME SO FERAL OVER THIS. BUT ESPECIALLY THE THEME OF FAITH??? BYE I CANT HANDLE IT ASJDFHJLDAD

2. Newsies

While I think Les Mis is probably a better musical in general, THIS one is very personal. This is the first broadway musical i ever listened to, the one that got me into theatre musicals for the first time. IT ALL BEGAN HERE. This was also the first pro-shot I ever watched!!! And absolutely LOVE the songs DEARLY to this very day and still jam out to them every time I hear them, plus I LOVE the story and find it to be very relevant to people my age in particular. It's just so FUN and with AN INCREDIBLE story and soundtrack and the PERFORMANCES and DANCING AUGHHH and i love it so much i cant put it into words so here have Jack flipping someone instead

1. The Phantom of the Opera

I doubt ANYONE is surprised by this being at the top LOL. But for real, this musical just HIT THE SPOT. I don't know how or why BUT I JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS MUSICAL SO FAST AND HARD and I can't explain it. But just--the MUSIC the STAGING the STORY the CHARACTERS?? HELLO?? ERIK IS LITERALLY ONE OF THE MOST WELL-WRITTEN CHARACTERS I'VE EVER SEEN IN A LONG WHILE. AND CHRISTINE MY BELOVED. and OBVIOUSLY . RAOUL . HAS MY ENTIRE ENTIRE HEART THIS IDIOT BOYYYY. and and RAOULSTINE??? UGHHH. checking in. just stealing an internet signal from our friends in My Chem. speaking of, we are really excited to have them on the TRL countdown with us! good music is taking over again. keep voting! the info is on the front page. if we keep it up there, we're pushning to do a free fans only show with mtv paying for the venue!! keep your fingers crossed. you guys have always been our ambassadors and made the world listen- number one with a bullet. we are going to be on the cover of Alternative press later this year. we did the photoshoot for it- kind of a creepy idea. but we're excited for you to see it. we have also been writing a treatment for a new video- i think it'll suprise some people. we don't get on here as much lately due to all the madness going on with Warped tour. but we still wanted to let you know how much your support means to our band, and it shows on a daily basis. so thank you. boo and yah. i dyed my hair black. now it doesn't look so shitty anymore. blah. i am tired but it's way too hot out to sleep. howl's moving castle is a great movie and made me feel alive. thanks for coming out to the shows...

Soooo its been a dramafree summer so far which is amazing. Almost as good as swimming pools and sleepovers. I'm watching the notebook does that make me sucky? Circle y or n. I need to take a shower. From the diary of a madman: I think possibly I have been letting things get to me too much lately. Or maybe I hadn't been enough before. Either way, I'm sorry. Maybe one day we can explain both of our perspectives and laugh out loud at how stupid we sounded when we worried about "girls pants and selling out". Sometimes its hard to look in the mirror and feel okay with the person looking back. I've been going through a lot, not like its an excuse but more like I feel you deserved to know.

In other news, I haven't gotten the new harry potter yet but as soon as I do well talk about how awesome you/it is.

i guess we are half way to retirement on TRL. how insane is that? it makes me kinda giggle a little bit. but in a good way. thanks for keeping us in there and up so high on it. it probably doesn't mean a whole lot to you and it doesn't get us invited to any cool parties but what it does is get our label excited- so we can get money to make a better video! we have a plan coming together for it. it's gonna be a bit R. Kelly (but none of the pedophilia), a bit star wars (but none of the jar jar binks), and a bit sixteen candles (but- oh wait- but nothing we love that thing). haha i probably just gave you the weirdest impression of our video. i had the best time on kimmel the other night. i wish they could air the whole show- i proposed to caprice- i think it made her gag hahahaha and joe did metal hands/wizard claw a bunch. it was just fun. the way our shows always used to be. we got some plans for the fall tour that are gonna make you swoon- especially our old friends. remember when i made you guys that mixed cd- instead of talking about whose gay and whose got what girlfriend- tell me the perfect mixed cd for me right now... mwah. im gonna update the buzznet in a bit with some new pics. r.i.p. that sunburst bass- im glad he had a chance to get his fifteen minutes before he died. hehe. it was kind of sad all warped. it wouldn't stay in tune cause of this huge crack in it. i have decided i hate playing on tv, i always come off wrong- if i smile too much it means i am obsessed with attention, if i don't smile enough it means i am having a bad day. i think i am going to make a shirt that says what mood i am in. mostly it will be shy/looking for a starbucks mood. or maybe when we have to play tv i think i will just hide behind a post and highfive korean tom cruise a bunch. i flew home to see my mom today, so sorry i missed talking to everyone in l.a. last night- she bought me new socks and cologne so i won't be the smelly kid in class anymore. i go on the internet too much. i don't know why the q and a on the site isn't working but it bothers me just as much as you. i have alot of answers just bubbling inside me- favorite color- hrm i dunno. do you have a gf- uh david from simple plan. does patrick have a gf- uh this one girl...

to the peanut gallery: just flew in on the red eye. it feels so amazing to be at home. Kimmy Jimmel (fix the spelling on that one hehe). was one of the best "tv" shows we've ever played. the crowd was amazing. contrary to popular belief my bass was smashed because it had an unfixable crack all the way through the neck- korean tom cruise looked at me before we played and said "this is it for this one" - so we figured we'd send it out with a bang. don't worry we had a funeral for it. i don't know the story about joe throwing his guitar, but i'm guessing it was a good one. i dunno the story about breaking the mic stand, it just looked like it was sitting there taunting me. besides i kinda wanted korean tom cruise to get a bit of screen time. i was in the worst mood all day/week, so low and playing that show just definitely brightened my day. seeing all of those happy faces... i'm definitely gonna write more later. i just wanted to thank all of the kids who came out or glued their sleepy little eyes to the screen late at night- i am sorry i didn't get to say hey and all, i had to go to the airport right when we finished.

first to all the kids at kimmel! thank you so much. i know alot of kids travelled far away and got there really early. it suprised me how many people i recognized. you didn't go unnnoticed! alot of people emailed about smashing the bass and what kind of mood i was in. i wish they had shown the whole show. that show made me light up. i felt alive. i don't know why i break stuff, its cause im little and strange. i throw mic stands and spit water and lick joes guitar. and being able jump on stuff and touch your sweaty little arms, honestly it gives me chills as dumb as it sounds. its all how the chords and words feel when they come out.

hey. here i am 35,000 feet off of the ground writing to you. i will upload this when i land i guess. i'm not even too sure what i am writing for. not breaking new ground or breaking down. just maybe i need to take a break from getting on here so much cause i tend to run my mouth/heart without thinking too much about it. sometimes i need (alright alright) slow down. anyway. all of the growth and changes get to me too. i guess everyone says you get what you wished for. but this was never a genie in a lamp for me. it's always just been me and my bestfriends. and sometimes it feels weird inside like being pulled apart. and maybe people like my smile and patricks voice and joe's spins and how nice andy is or they hate how short i am and i can't think of any of the stuff anyone hates about the other boys but i've heard it- and it just feels weird, cause we never did this thing so it would become what it has. we always just wanted to sit in between the speakers in your bedroom and spin you to sleep. and these kids are my bestfriends. we talk about sometimes just disappearing off of the face of the planet and just doing something else. and everyone kind of laughs but just for a minute it sounds like the best idea. we are so happy and in love with everyone who has stuck it out with us. and i'm SOrry if i seem distant at times, my head is just filled with ideas, good and bad- its funny when you keep letting the same person get to you over and over and over and over- i'll try and be better. after having my livejournal hacked, i kind of decided maybe i need to take a break from just sitting on the internet and trying to decipher every little thing out there and at the same time drop coded messages everywhere. anyway, more than anything. i just wanted to thank you for helping me bloom and become a better person, or at least want to become a person that you could actually look up to. its time to be the dreamer instead of the dream///

lately i’ve been into believing fictional stories like the ones about me and you being happy. they’ve gotta be science fiction because how else can you have a monster fall in love with a boy with no heart? actually i’m pretty sure you have a heart, but i’m just as certain it’ll never be mine. i can tell you’re willing to be loved somewhere on the inside but that doesn’t do me any good when i’m still seeing things through thick curtains over windows and padlocked doors on the outside. bitter regrets, predictable forfeits. we lit a fire that was nothing but smoke and hot air. ashes. my hands are empty and you hold all the cards, kind of funny how you don’t even want them/me. the final nail in my coffin stabbed me in the heart - from my back. you once made my heart skip a beat, now you make it want to skip this. you’ve got salty mails ripping my wounds open that you’re telling me to let heal. Love is a mirage, you only think it’s there for so long..til you either wise up or die of hydration. love is the way to blow your brains out minus the gun, i swear. it’s the stupidest form of suicide cause you don’t die. and whatever doesn’t kill you only laughs at you for coming close enough to. sorry, it’s just the bitterness talking. ignore it/me. i’m just loose words hanging on the ends of your lips, even looser when i’m anywhere near your hips. poetry written from blistered fingertips and sleep deprived eyes that was better before the ink dried. He said, "I should have stayed with her,” and I should have stayed away. held together by paperclips and lies, a part of me is still trying to pretend i was (mis)hearing things but even the voices in my head aren’t that mean to me. and them “i’m sorry,” too late, i’m a better (re)actor than the one you’re being to convince me. i’m just convinced that telemarketers are the only people with more hang ups than me. you called this before you knew the number, and hung up before you got a response. tell me any of this will get me somewhere worth being without being left behind. i tried, i gave it/you my all, but all i can do is give up. i don’t tell you my insecurities so you can use them against me, but help me get over them. instead you said and did the worst thing you could do. worse than cheating to me, i hope you know. but whatever i don’t even know, i guess sometimes it takes losing what you had to see what you didn’t.

We spend way too much time talking about this one band f.o.b. (Both in a good way and a bad way). So let's focus some time on bands that are really underappreciated:

Panic! At the Disco- I just heard the new record mixes. I must say. I want to live inside their songs. I think I could be happy.

Lifetime- I wouldn't have made it through highschool without this band.

The Plain White T's- people don't get it yet, but I think they will.

Gym Class Heroes- people don't get this one yet either. And that's sad cause I think years later they will be considered a groundbreaking band.

Quicksand- I don't even know what to say. Go buy "Slip".

"this essay is going to be reused whole cloth from the submission of them to the 17 million years of pining poll! because unfortunately i do not have the energy to go insane enough to write up anything new oh.

my god. where the fuck do i start with them for real.

okay so, theyve been friends since early childhood, and before either of them came out (Rashmi is agender, they/them, while Amelie is a trans girl, she/her, and they are both mspec which is a bit less relevant but is also there). the earliest time that we know that they have feelings for each other is when theyre both 14, and Rashmi - already out, with their entire family (parents and grandma) supporting them without question - is moving. uhhh 90% of american geography names are the same to me so i might lie there. from Nevada, where they both grew up, to New York, where Rashmi is planning on studying dance further, which has always been their plan; around 14 is when they ran out of teachers at home.

they quietly hope Amelie doesnt confess her feelings for them, as they fear it might tempt them to stay, which they cannot allow themself to do. Amelie, meanwhile, is very carefully not thinking about gender, because her parents are quite frankly the worst. over the course of the years before they meet back up, Amelie has had some dates, but each time, they dont work out, and in her own words, put logs on the flame she carries for Rashmi.

Rashmi, meanwhile. gets married. one of Rashmi's biggest struggles in their romantic pursuits has been the fact that they are both Indian and queer. it has been a struggle for them to find someone who respects both - someone who respects their gender identity while not throwing their culture under the bus. that is one of the factors contributing to the way their relationship with "Ajay" (we learn that this name isnt his real one, but it was magically replaced in Rashmi's memories of him and we dont know it) played out: he is also Indian, and the first thing he asked them upon meeting them was what their pronouns were. and it was all good.

until it wasnt.

i would love to get into that deeper, but the important point is that "Ajay" is kind of a piece of garbage, whose crimes include finding Rashmi's address when they didnt give it out, deliberately not sending Amelie her wedding invitation because Rashmi told him they used to have a crush on her, driving them to drop out of dance school, and general possessiveness (notable being the fact that, whenever he is home, he always asks them to stay home too, which leads to them dropping their social circle and their hobbies). one of the places it grows from is "Ajay" being ace and not quite believing that Rashmi accepts that. he also has a substance abuse problem.

all of that culminates as they return from a short visit to their parents, and he in a fit pushes them down a long flight of stairs.

in the meantime... god, i cant even figure out what parts of information are important about Amelie here. i would put as notable the fact that she only figured out she was a girl something like a year before the events of the game - and only ever came out to Rashmi, who in turn told their parents...

and who didnt realize that Amelie's workplace didnt know. her workplace is just. terrible in social terms. she loves the work itself (its food industry, a restaurant in a casino, dont remember the exact job description) but her coworkers are being the absolute worst. a cesspool of toxic masculinity. also an environment for Amelie's undiagnosed psychosis. she is prone to auditory hallucinations.

after being outed to her boss while also hearing from Rashmi's parents that their husband is... lets just say bad for them, she, while safely at home, hallucinates that her boss or maybe her father is breaking down the door.

simultaneously with Rashmi as they are falling down the stairs, they make Wishes.

these are not widely understood; from the context of the game, it seems as though some people get a Wish when in significant peril, or in distress. you do not need to use the Wish immediately as you get it, but they both did.

essentially, what Rashmi Wishes for is a way to escape from their husband that wouldnt raise a fuss; and Amelie Wishes for a place where she and Rashmi can both be safe. (i am very muddly on the details there) their Wishes create the anomalous clocktower where the game takes place."

off the top of my head i actually dont know. i cant believe but i dont really know what The People think of Ink. i wanna say people perceive them as very blunt . straightfowards. a bit silly from this. And i'd say thats right . ink is very forwards with how theyre feeling about things at the moment and far more Act NowThink Never . "because im soooo awesome. thinking is for NERDS!"

(grimly looks off into distance as this prompts me to think about how i wanna redraw the whole prologue so i can better show off ink's bedroom considering what little we saw in comic is Not Accurate.)

ahem. this is to say, Jesus Christ ink has a Lot of "stuff" they keep around very messy. they share a room though so the chaos is (as best as they can manage) restrained to their half of the room.

the "stuff" is mainly trinkets and whatever they've either found outside (e.g. cool rocks, sticks), made (as practice, but they're not allowed to have weapons so its usually just random stuff they thought "i could make that" and then did), or belongs to them (clothes.) (there's not really anything seperating clean clothes from dirty. they're just. all around. doesn'tmatter. shes wearing outdoor shoes inside and sleeps in her outside clothes because why put on pjamas if youre just gonna have to puton the outside clothes again TCH!) . ... tl;dr messy room 1 billion things everywhere on her half of the room.

Honestly no Maxim is very rational and would not be scared of whatever. I mean this so nicely to them because i love them dearly but i think Maxim lacks the imagination to even have things to imagine that would be scary. I don't think they're even scared of normal things to be afraid of.

💭 - How is their mental health? Do they struggle with guilt or shame?

this feels really funny to say but maxim is actually doing pretty good. they're extremely normal . until fearcorp happens , which just makes them feel very stressed and worried about Angelina specifically because they're very scared something bad will happen to it , be it from someone else, or it does to itself . (they dont really feel worried for their own well being because... its the strangest thing, really, but they just have this sense of Knowing that they're not really in any danger. They won't die here, like this. but that they don't feel that sure about Angelina, well..)

so no in general maxim doesn't have any problems with their mental health . fearcorp exception due to being literally the most nightmare event anyone in that story has gone through. live laugh love.
