we all know that luigi loves to travel. to wander, explore, galivant. and he'd love to take you along with him- bring you to corners of the earth you've always wanted to see and to corners you never knew existed. together, you'd traipse crumbled horizons, wade dwindling rivers, and taste flavors both new and familiar. (all on a budget, of course!) even with the excitement he'd get on these trips- a new sort of rush now flooding his veins from being able to take his most beloved person with him- his favorite moments with you were in the stillness.

sitting in the back of a rickshaw or CNG just watching you watch the buildings sweep by. laying on the beach with you draped over his chest as you admired the sun sink below the ocean line while he took in the way the last few breaths of sunlight baptized your fluttering eyelashes. standing on the side of the bustling street, waiting for the local food cart to prepare your snack, with luigi's chest pressed firmly to your back and his arms winded around your waist.

to luigi absorbing the gleam of wonder on your face and the glow of anticipation in your eyes from experiencing new sights was the neurotransmitter that pumped his heart; it kept him alive, needing nothing more than to stay still in these moments with you. no matter where you went or what you saw (or even what state your appearance was in), you were always the most enchanting view to him

"luigiii" you'd whined, nudging him in the shoulder whenever you'd catch him staring at you. it made you a little shy and although you acted embarrassed, you silently hoped to any and all omnipotent powers that he would never stop looking at you in that way. as if you were the only thing that mattered in the universe. as if you were the moon that drew in his tides

"what is it, my love?" he'd answer in a soft, teasing voice. leaning in closer and bringing your hands to his lips. unblinking, he'd press kisses to each of your knuckles. you resisted the urge to push him again when he cocked his brow with a mischievous glint in his eyes. he looooved acting like he didn't know what you were talking about.

"you know what you're doing!" you mumble-cried, so overtaken by emotions you soared into his arms, tucking your head in his neck and fisting his shirt, feeling his body chuckle in mirth

"oh do i?" his arms seemed to engulf you as he held you close. he pressed a kiss to your hair

"yes, you butthole," your voice was muffled yet your bashfulness and faux pout ever clear. it wasn't often he could make you this shy- usually it'd be the other way around, so he loved savoring times like this. "looking at me...with those eyes..."

"butthole???" he guffawed in amused incredulity, head thrown far back to let his raucous laughter run free, uncaring of who would take offence- not that anyone really would, with it being such a sweet melody. "'those eyes' huh? oh i'm sooo sorry, amore, i really can't help it. it's just that..." his voice trailed off as he finished his tittering, pulling back just enough to cup your face and coax it away from it's favorite hiding spot. he thumbed at your cheek, caressing your skin with the upmost gentleness.

although the tail ends of your timidity were trickling away, your still doe eyed look had luigi melting. and his tender, amorous expression left you almost as breathless as his next whispered words:

"you really are my entire world"

His parents use a couple words in his school graduation yearbook message but I think the extent of his Italian is very basic and minimal. You just know that man would be putting that on his LinkedIn profile if it is fluent/anything above beginner level.

am i the only one who genuinely thinks luigi doesn't speak italian? like he's third generation italian american and i heard his mom didn't know italian until fairly recently...i would be so surprised if he actually could tho cuz i know so many first gen american-borns who basically only know english.

as a reminder, kids, never talk to law enforcement without legal representation present. obviously, easier said that done since this shit is scary. i'd loooove to know what probable cause they had to frisk and search a man eating a hashbrown smh

PA CASE UPDATE: 2/24/25

According to the motion filed, Dickey alleges the Altoona Police Department unlawfully detained Luigi Mangione without being mirandized for 17 minutes with no indication as to why, other than he "looked suspicious and overstayed his welcome at McDonald's."

Mangione was reportedly frisked and surrounded by a wall of officers blocking his path of travel, with no indication he was free to leave. His backpack was taken into the officers' possession while Mangione believed he was in custody. Dickey stated, "No reasonable person would have believed that they were free to leave."

Only after 17 minutes of questioning and unlawful detainment, he was read his Miranda Rights and continued to face questioning even after indicating he did not want to speak to law enforcement.

Now knowing that Tom Dickey filed those motions showing that he was unlawfully arrested and searched on December 9th, and then the Altoona Police Department unlawfully obtaining evidence, my mind really can’t comprehend the kind of story that the footage and this photo can only tell us about what happened in those moments of the police coming up to him, detaining him, and basically making a human wall around him—all this without mirandizing him?

According to a motion filed today by Luigi Mangione’s Pennsylvania attorney, Mangione’s arrest at a McDonald’s in Altoona, PA, involved a heavy police presence. “At this time, it is believed that ten police officers surrounded the defendant in the small dining area.... Both officers from the Altoona Police Department continued to interrogate and question the defendant without reading him his Miranda rights.”

Hi guys! I wanna talk about a little smth before I carry on with posting, cuz it feels right to discuss NOW.

With the info that continues to be published by tabloids and new outlets alike, it seems as though they have no problem with violating privacy or anyone (shocker.), much less bloggers and social media users. That being said I wanna establish TWO key things ; I refuse to conform nor pack up and go. My blog is more likely to be blasted than anything because I am a very open anarchist with “extremist” views (pro-violence; specifically in the context of protests). They want to cherry pick the best candidates of all to attempt to demonize and discredit Luigi’s image by using his supporters as examples. Me and other bloggers w similar views unfortunately are perfect poster children for this form of propaganda.

That being said, we can’t actually do much for Luigi besides write and donate and continue to spread awareness. But, I do wanna stress that YOU and the COMMUNITY matters just as much as him, regardless of how you support Luigi. Writer, archiver, protester, whistleblower, etc etc.

That being said, what can we do to help EACH OTHER?

You can help Luigi bloggers by making sure tumblr content stays on TUMBLR. Don’t share/repost anything from their blogs outside of this website, offer words of support, and utilize the tools they provide the masses to further help take change. And again, this is NOT about just fanfic writers, regardless of what’s going on we are all under the same umbrella if it starts raining. Cover your neighbors and stay active. Know your rights, and READ EVERYTHING YOU SEE ONLINE WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. People LIE.

sooo many blogs are getting ATTACKED it's really sad and disheartening to see- especially when it actually affects people. i recently made this blog to be a more active part of the community so all this came as a shock to me lol. did this happen after his first court date, too??? i'm thinking the onslaught will let up in a week or so (hopefully).

it's interesting to see how nastyy some people are behaving over this and for absolutely no good reason imo. acting as if they're aboce others. what's funny, though, is that they all use the same language. like literally word for word sometimes...hackneyed!

The judge refusing to have Luigi's shackles removed due to "safety" concerns just shows how this case has been nothing but the presumption of guilt over innocence. They're trying so hard to make him look dangerous when in reality I'd feel safer alone in a room with Luigi than with any of those NYPD officers around him :/ I have no words
