I saw a post that said Bill’s and Twelve’s relationship is special because they took the time to become friends before travelling companions and I agree wholeheartedly. I feel that many of the other companions see the Doctor as a hero that comes swaggering into their town to save the day and they assume the Doctor is a picture book hero. Later the companions realise the Doctor may be a hero, but he isn’t always a good person. He doesn’t always make the best decisions. Bill meets the Doctor as an absentminded professor who is always questioning morals and the universe. She sees not a hero but a man first and then the hero. I think that’s why she’s so quick to call out his bull about moving on. It brings to mind the exchange between Twelve and Clara.

Clara: Admit it, I was a good Doctor.

Twelve: You were an excellent Doctor. Good had nothing to do with it.

I personally think that Bill’s and Twelve’s relationship is one of the most vulnerable the Doctor has ever had with a companion. The Doctor is aware that Bill knows his flaws before she got into the travelling and knows that for Bill the hero pedestal is on the ground.

I'm so obsessed with Jean's feelings towards Neil. They're absolutely not romantic or sexual which we know for sure now but they're so strong anyway. He says he should have been his forever partner! He really trusts Neil with his life despite only knowing him in the Nest for a few weeks- something that never happened with Riko or Zane despite knowing them both for years.

I am so so happy that Marisha added the "keyleth tenses up" when Vax took her hand. She hasn't seen him in nearly 30 years. THIRTY YEARS.

Keyleth is angry. She can't move on. Vax sends her a raven every day. He misses her but he is preoccupied with a job that warps his sense of time. Keyleth experiences time like any other mortal world, day by day.

She loves him, but its taking up the same space as her grief, resentment, and sorrow for him. It is a difficult for her. These feelings have been rolling around inside her for a few decades and now she is asked to "pretend like everything is normal" for one night. (I love you Vex I know you are just happy to see your brother again.)

And I am not saying that Vax is all in the wrong here. Liam made it clear that his sense of time is not normal. He might not feel like its been as long, so the awkwardness of just seeing your previous partner for the first time in forever isn't there. He doesn't feel the rift, or at least not nearly as greatly as Keyleth does. So he takes her hand, because he loves her and he misses her.

And she tenses up because what the fuck is she supposed to do now?

There's something so beautiful about Stan and Xenos relationship.

It's the way Stan trusts Xeno to know what he want but still gives him the time to choose. He knows Xeno isn't a completely evil person, he knows what Xeno wants is insane (he wants to be a dictator if someone i knew said that i would loose my shit) and he still stands by him. He watches the man he adores start creating his dream world and supports him through it all despite knowing that it isn't the right think to do, because if Xenos happy then Stan is willing to commit whatever crimes needed to keep him happy. He's willing to burn the world for him.

But deep down he also knows killing Senku isn't what Xeno truly wants he knows that the scientist is fond of this kid and whilst he's willing to carry out whatever order is given he wants Xeno to have the possibility to back out at any given point, he wants Xeno to be completely certain of this choice because this decision is irreversible.

Because Stan knows Xeno when Xeno doesn't even know himself. And Stan knows Xeno doesn't want this.
