i have ALWAYS promptly looked forward to jason grace's povs in the hoo books to the point where'd I'd flip the pages till I find the words "JASON" and would count the amount of povs he has in the whole book before I even finished reading, so I feel excited knowing that I'll get to his povs soon. there, I said it.

holly black is so cool because she named the first book of tfota as "the cruel PRINCE" which really encapsulates the immaturity of cardan at that point with his lack of understanding of mortals and such hence his mistreatment towards jude and taryn. she then goes on to title the second book "the wicked KING" which, to me, I feel shows a incredible amount of growth especially at the end where he exiles jude as a ploy to get her to pardon herself (which obviously does not go in his favour) causing jude to be the one to deem him wicked although later we find out otherwise. we then have the third book titled "the queen of nothing" which, in my opinion, is a subtle nod to the queen of mirth situation not so long ago but this time jude becomes the queen of all of the fae when all she really wanted in her life was to be able to live peacefully. her becoming the queen after all her hardships and now prevailing is really special and shows just how deep holly black thought to make jude such an icon.

AOAS is actually so weird out of context. The main baddie is literally from mars, he killed an entire planet, was beheaded, and then started wearing one of the MC’s best friend’s body like the other 17% of the headless horseman for the ~drama~. One of the main driving plot points of the first book is Mars Man kidnapping Basically The President’s daughter and forcing the MC to babysit her against his will while he studies to get his license to kill. My man floods Basically NATO with mind-controlled sharks and yells “lol nope, u thought” while watching world leaders get eaten from a helicopter. The B-plot is New Jesus trying to navigate the intricacies of religion and developing a dysfunctional-ass found family that consists of his tour manager, a stubborn but devout theatre kid, a jean-cloaked ex-killer, and Robot God. He falls in love with a sexy sea captain who gets possessed by Robot God bc it’s in love. There’s deep talks about nature and morality of humanity. The two MC’s bang while dying of hypothermia while sinking to the bottom of the ocean. This isn’t even half of it.

Just saw The Wild Robot

CRYING MY EYES OUT OH MY GOD i will never not love this movie or book series ever. It was so pretty and the style of the movie was absolutely spectacular and I was just awestruck with its preformance. A tad bit off the actual book but who cares, it was gorgeous, and honestly both the book and movie made sense and I will rewatch it over and over again. The touching moments, the struggles and the hardships that each character went through and got out of was the most heartbreaking and heartwarming things I've ever seen. I genuinely hope this movie doesn't flop, it was absolutely stunning and well written and I beg of yall to please watch it 🙏🙏
