Last night I had this dream that was essentially a mash-up of Fallout 4 and the Fallout tv show, where I was essentially a Sole Survivor/Lucy fusion: After several years as a thawed-out Sole Survivor, I discovered that my father and brother, who I’d assumed were long dead given that I last saw them like 200 years ago, had actually also been frozen in a different vault.
They, unlike me, had been found and unfrozen a while ago by vault dwellers and had spent the past decade living in a perky, Stepford-style folksy Vault like the one from the Amazon Prime show, complete with mysterious people who get transferred in from “another vault” and never discuss their past. They’ve been there for a decade, so my younger brother that I last saw as a teen is now a few years older than I am (cause I’m like mid-twenties in the dream since I was a young 50s/60s-era newlywed with a newborn when I got frozen).
I’m thrilled they’re still alive and also awkward about the fact that they’ve been living in this safe, still-like-the-before-times Vault while I’ve spent the past several years killing my way through dozens of raiders gangs in the Wasteland and fucking Hancock, because they’re going to be so startled and have their innocent image of me shattered when they learn about it. But they want to see my new life, so I take my brother the vault librarian and my dad, who tells dad jokes and wears a cowboy hat and is apparently the Vault co-op board’s secretary (the Vault homeowners board are mostly mutated experiment survivors like the show’s Vault 4 and are very obviously up to something conspiracy-esque), up to the surface to visit my home in Goodneighbor.
This involves a massive shoot-out with a huge gang of raiders who were camped out outside the vault, where I yell at little/older brother for sucking at using a machine gun (Dad said you practiced! Dad said the vault had marksmanship training! Why are you so bad at providing covering fire!) and our dad is like, “Sole, stop being mean to your brother” *shoots raider in the chest* “You’ve clearly had more practice at this, nobody likes a braggart. (Meanwhile I’m internally stressing about how to explain ghouls to them, and keep saying things like “Some people at our destination are going to look weird but don’t freak out, it’s just like Fred from the Vaultowner’s association board, okay? It’s because of the radiation, like Fred’s tentacle-arm.”)
We walk into Goodneighbor via an elaborate underground tunnel that leads into the bar, where Hancock is serving as the bartender and immediately grabs me for a kiss. Then there’s the world’s most awkward introduction ever as I’m like, “Uh, dad, this is my new husband who I remarried after husband no. 1’s tragic death. He’s the gunslinging anarchist mayor of disaster-town who does every drug.”
… only to discover that my Dad knows him, because the secret Vault conspiracy is actually that all the secretive and suspicious “vault transfers” are synths being given new lives, and Hancock has been his Railroad contact on the surface for years now. The ghoulification drug Hancock took was actually created by Fred-from-the-Vaultowners’-association-board’s grandfather. They’ve all been corresponding since before I was even thawed out. Dad is like, “When were you going to tell me your new wife was my daughter?! Also do fewer drugs and get a warmer, more practical coat. And a bigger gun, the Institute is dangerous.”
Also step-mom who stayed behind in the vault is actually a synth and therefore technically my great-granddaughter and my Dad and brother don’t know this they don’t know about Shaun/“Father” oh god explaining Hancock was supposed to be the worst problem.
#dream!dad was basically hank maclean but good#the entire show/game mashup plot made way too much sense for a dream plot#dreams are basically the only time I’m into dudes - dream me is often either way more bihet than real me or is a fictional anime dude#there was also a whole subplot where my dead husband was alive again and I temporarily broke up with Hancock out of duty#but ultimately got back with him because not-dead husband and I were too different now and also loved Hancock more anyway#once you go ghoulfucker you can’t go back#random drunks in goodneighbor were giving me shovel talks about breaking poor mayor hancock’s heart nobody shipped me/husband#sorry not-dead husband the video game npcs thought you were lame#if the synths are made with sole’s kid’s dna doesn’t that make Sole/Danse technically incest? this question has haunted me for years

poppin onto anon cuz i havent even said this on my own blog LOL but danse playing with identity post-bb and ends up going for he/it
like hes a he/him in an it/its sorta way and it's an it/its in a he/him sorta way. you ask him what he is and he just shrugs and grins
Your brain is so big anon I love this!!! I've always wanted to mess around with Danse's gender expression + pronouns and I never knew how but this MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!
I'm actually gonna use he/it for him for the rest of this post bc wow this is great
Argh I love the idea of it reclaiming it/its pronouns and actually finding out that he connects with them more than just he/him. I can imagine someone like Sole or Haylen being like "hey man you're not a machine, you don't have to call yourself it..." and Danse having to reassure them "no no I actually like it I swear".
And it'd just be SO FREEING for him. Being able to take back this piece of its identity and turn negative connotations into positive ones. I can imagine it sometime down the road being called "it" in a derogatory way and him just smiling because while yeah, it still sucks to be demeaned (and there's a very obvious difference between "using your preferred pronouns" and "using it/its to be an asshole") now he can actually turn it into something positive that doesn't hurt as bad. It'd be such a good way for it to not just come to terms with being a synth but actually LIKE it and ACCEPT it as part of his own identity.
And it might just be his first time messing around with pronouns or even his identity as a whole! Like it knew Something Wasn't Clicking even as a young adult but he turned to the Brotherhood to try and fix that disconnect with itself and then just kinda shoved it all down. Leaving the Brotherhood and being forced to throw his entire life away sort of gave it the push it needed to start finding out what really made him happy, you know?? And it turns out what makes him happy is he/it pronouns!
#HE/IT DANSE!!!#and 'he in an its way and it in a he way' is so true#I love the idea of danse learning more about his identity and actually finding FUN in it#cause pronouns are fun!!! gender is fun!!! fuck yeah you goofy synth dude do what makes u happy#feel free to add onto this post as well!!! i love hearing peoples hcs on this#fallout 4#paladin danse#headcanons#lgbtq headcanons

Hai could I get fo4 complete reaction to the sole survivor being very big on giving praise? Like they're constantly complementing the companions but not in an overbearing way :) thank uuu
FO4 Companions reacting to the Sole Survivor's praise:
Cait
At first, she’s incredibly suspicious. Compliments? From someone who doesn’t want anything? She’s waiting for the catch.
Once she realises it’s genuine, she gets flustered and awkward, brushing off praise with a “Yeah, yeah, don’t go getting soft on me.” But she starts subtly craving it.
Eventually, she starts preening a bit when she hears it, standing a little taller. “Damn right I’m good at this,” she’ll say, with a small but proud smile.
Codsworth
Absolutely adores it. He lives to serve, and knowing Sole appreciates him fills him with robotic joy.
“Oh, you are too kind! I do try my best, of course!” He starts adding a little flourish when serving them tea, trying to impress them.
Might even get a little smug when others don’t get as much praise. “Ah, not everyone can be as meticulous as yours truly!”
Curie
Delighted and fascinated by Sole’s positivity, especially when directed at her scientific skills.
“Oh! You really think my work is amazing? That is… oh, you make me blush!” She absorbs every word like a sponge, eager to impress them further.
Over time, she starts paying the praise forward, complimenting others in the group in an adorable, awkward way: “Yes, Cait, you… hit that man so well! Such force!”
Paladin Danse
Completely unsure of how to process it at first. Praise was always tied to performance in the Brotherhood, not simple appreciation.
Starts standing up straighter, subtly shifting into parade rest every time he is praised. “That’s… good to hear, soldier.”
He may not say it, but it means something to him. Eventually, he starts seeking approval in small ways, hoping to get an extra “Outstanding work” when he pulls off something impressive.
Deacon
Smug as hell about it at first. “Oh, stop it, you charmer, you’ll make a spy blush.”
But deep down? It gets to him. Compliments aren’t something he gets often—especially not genuine ones.
He starts responding more sincerely over time, quietly muttering, “Y’know, you’re not too bad yourself.” That’s Deacon for I’m touched beyond words.
Dogmeat
Is a dog. Therefore, absolutely loves the praise and thrives on it.
Tail-wagging intensifies with every “Good boy!” until he’s practically vibrating.
Starts bringing the Sole Survivor even more random junk from the wasteland, tail wagging proudly as he receives his due recognition.
Gage
At first? Suspicious as hell. Compliments in Nuka-World usually meant someone wanted something.
Eventually, he starts accepting them at face value, though he plays it cool: “Yeah, well, I am pretty damn good at what I do.”
But if he ever hears a genuine “I trust you,” that’s it. That’s the moment he realises he’s actually loyal to them, no strings attached.
John Hancock
Drinks it up like the finest chems. “Oh, you really do know how to sweet-talk a ghoul.”
Starts playfully fishing for them. “I dunno, was that a badass move or the most badass move?”
But after a while, he stops playing—he just enjoys hearing them say nice things. It reminds him that he’s worth appreciating.
Robert MacCready
At first? Incredibly awkward. “Uh… thanks? I guess?” He’s not used to compliments that aren’t sarcastic.
Eventually, he starts mumbling a quiet “Thanks” and actually appreciating it. He never realised how much he craved validation.
If they ever tell him he’s a great dad? That’s it. He’s done. Might actually tear up.
Nick Valentine
Smirks at first, taking it in stride. “Careful, kid. A fella might start thinkin’ you like having him around.”
But deep down? It means a hell of a lot. People don’t usually appreciate him as more than an old synth detective.
Eventually, he starts throwing it right back. “Well, you’re not half bad yourself, partner.” And from him, that’s high praise.
Piper Wright
Blushes furiously at first, brushing it off. “Pfft, come on, you’re making me sound cooler than I am.”
Eventually, though? She starts believing it. Starts walking with a bit more confidence, feeling like she is as capable as they say she is.
She starts writing about them in a new way—not just as a legend, but as a genuinely good person.
Preston Garvey
Blinks the first time they compliment him, looking genuinely surprised. “You really mean that?”
He’s so used to being the one lifting everyone else up—it takes him a while to accept that someone wants to do the same for him.
Eventually, he starts smiling more. “Thanks, General. That means a lot.” And it really, really does.
Strong
Confused at first. Why is human saying nice things? What is this strange behavior?
Eventually, decides it is a human battle custom and accepts it. “YES. STRONG IS GOOD SMASHER.”
Might even start attempting his own version of praise: “HUMAN… IS GOOD TOO. NOT AS STRONG AS STRONG. BUT GOOD.”
X6-88
Is initially just... silent. He doesn’t know how to react. Compliments aren’t part of his programming.
Eventually, he just nods at them. “Noted.” But his tone softens over time.
He never outright asks for it, but if they ever stop praising him? He might just subtly start working harder for it.
Ada
Initially confused but appreciative. “That is… unexpected. Most humans do not take the time to compliment machines.”
Over time, she begins to recognise it as genuine appreciation and responds in kind. “Your leadership is commendable. I am… grateful to be part of this.”
Though she may not have emotions like a human, her tone becomes just a touch warmer when speaking to Sole, like she’s learning what it means to feel valued.
Automatron
Default programmed response: “Thank you for your feedback.”
But if they keep it up, the bot might start adapting its speech patterns. “Analysis: Positive reinforcement detected. Conclusion: You are… kind.”
If modified with a personality matrix, the bot might get cocky. “Yes, yes, I am the pinnacle of engineering excellence. Carry on, human.”
Old Longfellow
Grumbles about it at first. “Damn fool, ain't no need to butter me up. Just doin’ what I always done.”
But over time, he starts getting used to it. Starts looking forward to Sole’s words, even if he won’t admit it.
The real moment of breakthrough? When he finally mutters, “Heh. Y’ain’t so bad yourself, kid.” That’s Longfellow for I respect the hell outta you.
Porter Gage
At first? Suspicious as hell. Compliments? That ain't how the real world works. “Yeah, yeah, what angle you workin’, boss?”
But once he realises Sole is just… like that, he starts soaking it in. “Damn. Not used to hearin’ that kinda thing. Feels… nice, I guess.”
Eventually, he starts giving them a nod of approval in return. “Gotta say, boss—you got a way of makin’ folks wanna follow ya. Guess I picked the right side after all.”

I've been giving some thought about if the New Vegas companions were in Fallout 4, namely what things they would like you doing or not.
Boone
Boone likes when you modify guns, especially adding scopes
He likes when you choose to fight from long range (like at the Castle)
Boone loves it when you rescue settlers from Raiders or Super Mutants
His faction preferences are Neutral on Minutemen, dislikes the Institute and Railroad, hates the Brotherhood
Hot take but I think Boone wouldn't be a fan of synths, he wouldn't go out of his way to hurt one but he doesn't trust them at all
Boone will leave if you help the Raiders in Nuka World take over the Commonwealth, and will be hostile to the player when encountered again
Cass
Cass loves it when you drink alcohol or give her whiskey
She loves it when you're sarcastic
Cass likes being flirted with and will respond in kind
She likes helping people who can't help themselves
Cass has no factional preferences outside of not liking the Brotherhood, but will shit-talk them all constantly
Cass hates murder and will call you out for it immediately
Cass hates it when you take Drugs and will threaten to leave if you do them in front of her enough times (also using chem stations)
Veronica
Veronica loves it when you modify melee weapons or get kills with them
Veronica loves it when you give her feminine clothing and will don it instead of her cloak (but you can force her back)
Veronica likes it when you're kind to people, and appreciates generosity from the player
Veronica likes it when you wear Power Armor, loves it when that Power Armor has a Brotherhood Paint Job
Veronica obviously supports the Brotherhood but loves choices where you stand up to their leaders (and will hate it if you kill Paladin Danse)
Veronica has no feelings on Synths herself but dislikes supporting the Railroad or Institute because they're opposed to the Brotherhood
Destroying the Prydwynn will cause her to become hostile to the player immediately
Arcade
Arcade likes it when you modify energy weapons
He is an outspoken supporter of helping as many people as possible, and will get pissed if you hurt people or choose to put the needs of the few in front of the many
Arcade loves it when you choose to resolve situations peacefully or using your intelligence
Arcade likes it when you use Stimpaks on him or Dogmeat
Arcade is probably the only companion to genuinely think Synths are people, but isn't a fan of the Railroad because they're wasting so many resources that could be helping people on them
His factional preferences are Positive for the Minutemen, dislikes all others
Arcade will flat-out refuse to support the Brotherhood, and will leave permanently if you insist on helping them
I don't really have thoughts on Raul other than he would like you helping people; otherwise he's just kind of the chillest dude in the wasteland. And lets be real here, Lily isn't present enough to actually have a set of likes and dislikes.

More Obscure Facts About Fallout 4 Companions*
*Now with slightly more unverified psychoanalysis!
X6 gets anxious at the thought of large crowds.
Codsworth likes to imagine being a father to a little robot son. Hang on, buddy, I’m getting my six hundred pounds of scrap metal out of storage.
MacCready seems to have lived in Bigtown for some period of time, or at least visited enough to have memories there. Also, the Lone Wanderer (or one of their companions/Sidney) told him about their encounter with Button Gwinnett.
Despite having little empathy for the people of the Commonwealth, Cait often becomes distressed imagining the victims of the bombs, especially when children are involved.
Danse believes that pre-war healthcare and scientific research should have been publicly owned. He hates corporations in general, especially Vault-Tec.
Nick not only loves poetry, but he’s also able to recite several famous poems such as Ozymandias and The Raven. He’s very sad to see destroyed books at the library.
It’s been confirmed by a non-Deacon source that he spent a month as a ghoul. (Somehow.) NPC dialogue implies that he was telling the truth about disguising himself as a woman for awhile, too.
Apparently Piper was a complete nightmare as a child. She would steal her dad’s pistol, shoot the combat inhibitors off robots, and let them run through town.
There’s some sort of debate in the fandom about whether Curie was originally a Miss Nanny or a Mister Handy, but she confirms in dialogue that she was a Miss Nanny.
Nick can feel pain! :(!
Deacon likes molerats, hates killing them, and wishes he could domesticate them. He should visit Sloan.
A probably incomplete list of things Danse wishes he could do: Fishing, watching a movie, playing/watching baseball, seeing a show at an amphitheater, bowling, shopping
TBH I was wrong on the last post. Preston doesn’t like swimming, his dialogue is tagged as sarcastic there. In my defense, he’s got depression and tends to speak flatly. That means that not one single companion likes to swim, except Strong who doesn’t care.
Despite maintaining there’s a difference between robots and synths, Nick believes in robot rights and often encourages robots not to think of themselves as slaves.

Hello! May I request fallout 4 companions (Nick especially) with Sole who shares the bare minimum of information about themselves? Not because Sole doesn’t trust them, they really enjoy theirs companions company. Perhaps they busy themselves so they don’t have to think about all the little and big things they miss. (I bet Codsworth would find pristine things that Sole would miss (like a favorite movie, vinyl, or comic?))
Sorry if its not something you’re interested in doing right now. The ask kinda came out as a ramble, I’m lacking sleep haha. Thanks again for considering my request!
》Honestly one of my favorite kinds of characters.
【Cait】 She doesn't appreciate it. Her contract was traded to some random weirdo who barely says anything. It took three days before the topic of your name came up. And two weeks to know what you were looking for, who. But in return you don't ask what she does on her own time or what she's done. It feels like you don't mind rather than you don't care and that makes her feel seen. It stays between you unsaid in her eyes.
♡If romanced she doesn't push for any information. You'll tell her if it's important. People think it's weird the two of you to not share about yourselves like normal people but you're happy, that's all that matters.
【Codsworth】 It's just like it was before. He, unlike the others, already knows you. He knows you very well. Not only did you do an intake for daily preferences but he also served you for a few years. While you're out and about you'll do something or say something that sounds like no information to others or out of context and he'll answer, "Just as I was thinking as well." While you camp with some of the other companions he does chores the way you like without needing to ask, making comment on recent events, which makes them jealous for sure. He digs up things from the house he preserved or found and fixes them up brand new before presenting it to you. Songs you liked or wanted to hear. Movies and shows and comics. Clothes pressed for you and the furniture is redone the way it used to be. He knows you and wants to keep it that way.
【Curie】 Low-key doesn't care. She has one thing on her mind and that's her own goal to better medicine. Finding things to do that is all she needs of you. When she goes to be a synth her feelings overwhelm her and you guide her through that. She's never ever asked about you. She'll tell you about what she's feeling but never thinks to ask what you feel. In her defense, is doesn't understand the nuance of social interactions. And to her credit, it works for the both of you.
♡If she's romanced she realizes she wants to know what you feel and if it's the same as her. She's mostly interested in what you feel now rather than what your opinion is in the past or isn't currently relevant.
【Danse】 Right away he doesn't care for it. A mercenary who talks very little can be dangerous. But you followed orders well and are a damn good shot. The way he asks is more like demanding. It was all for a vetting process but still rude. After the intake he didn't care about your lack of openness. Didn't matter to him personally. After BB he suddenly regrets not knowing you. He was so rude and dismissed you as another faceless soldier and you saved him, from the Brotherhood and himself. Now he wants to know you.
♡If romanced he makes effort to know you, like really know you. For a long time he refused individuality so his own sense of self is not great. But you know yourself and make no attempt to hide it. You are so sure of yourself you don't need to explain. That's one of the things he loves about you.
【Deacon】 He thinks you're like him, that you want to hide in plain sight. As much as he gives that to you he's nosy as fuck and takes every chance to learn about you, mostly from afar. It doesn't take any time at all for him to realize you'll just tell him. Most of them are one word answers. It takes him even less time after that to realize you'll comment on things from before the war especially.
♡If romanced he goes out of his way to show you stuff. Old posters and toys. If you follow my headcanon that he's pre-war, he makes old references and generally adds comments on things to bait your answers.
【Hancock】 He thinks it's pretty cool. "Oh, tall, dark, and handsome/beautiful." He does play twenty questions with you 24/7 and is very happy with your half-answers because an answer is still an answer. Plus he knows at least two other people like you. He is the one who figures out that you just don't have the time or think about talking about yourself rather than purposely keeping secrets the fastest. He knows people so he knows better.
♡If romanced he plays with it. You want a kiss? Tell him what's your favorite color. He'll get on his knees if you tell him what you like about your new home. But honestly he'll do it anyways. All he needs to know is that you want him like he wants you.
【MacCready】 He was more concerned about you putting a bullet in his head while his back was turned. Everyone in the Commonwealth was looking out for number one. So imagine his surprise when you were looking out for your number one and it wasn't you. Not only were you looking for your son but you stopped to help every person who asked for help. Your actions spoke to him in a way your words, he figured, couldn't. You didn't need to help him but you did. You didn't take the caps back. And you killed the gunners the second they turned their guns on him even when they said their beef wasn't with you. It was what you did, not what you told him.
♡If romanced he will ask things. Basic ones are like, "How was your day?" Normal questions that are the peak of domestic life. Then the more personal things. Some sound silly, "What's your favorite color?" But most build off of a quick thing you said in passing, "Wait, you've been to California? What was it like?" He trusts you'll tell him the truth.
【Nick】 As a private detective this simply won't do. He gets it at first, you just need him to find your son, it's business. However, you want him to stay with you after that. It confuses him because you made no indication you like him in the slightest way. He's the second fastest to realize you're not keeping to yourself on purpose. As one of the only ones who are pre-war he's able to get things the others can't. He'll talk about things and give his options and bait you into answering it. That was a common way to get people to talk back then when you were trying to be polite and keep up the conversation, even if the conversation stays a bit thin.
♡If he's romanced he makes fun of the fact you forget to say things about yourself. Don't get it wrong, he makes it clear you don't need to share. He's just poking fun.
【Piper】 This simply won't do. She asks as many question as they come up but she gets depressing short answers. You either give one word answers or say you're not really in the mood, on some occasions you admit you don't know, you never thought about it. It takes a long time for her to stop and that's only because the questions start getting old. And you still feel like a mystery even though you've told her everything.
♡If she's romanced she realizes how much you've told her and pushes it. What is your type? How do your lips feel? Why do you look so good? It becomes playful and light, never serious.
【Preston】 In the beginning he didn't realize he didn't know much about you. He took your help selfishly to get him and his people back on stable ground but you told him you were happy to help. So he takes time to learn about you and give you everything he could possibly help you with. In hopes you would share by yourself he gives things to you without any prompt. It doesn't really work most of the time.
♡If romanced he asks things with hearts in his eyes. He is so lovesick he takes all of your half-answers and files it away in his mind. It hardly matters at that point.
【X6】 It wasn't his mission so he didn't care. You owed him no explanation or justification. Doesn't mean he doesn't question you. He asks why you helped someone, why you stopped for a distraction. And of course you give short answers like, "They needed help." or "I wanted to." Later, after the Institute is gone, he sees how you carry yourself and tries to copy it. Obviously he can't so you help him too. You showed him he can figure himself out by himself and he didn't need you. So he held the same opinion; he doesn't need to know you like that.
♡If romanced he's still comfortable with you keeping things to yourself. It's only after months of being together do you realize he's never asked you a personal question, that you've never shared anything that personal. When you bring that to him he tells you that hardly matters. But seeing you make the effort after that gives him a feeling he can't describe. It's a good feeling he thinks.

Heyy! Can I request Fo4 companions' favourite places to kiss their s/o? Thank you 🩷🙏🏼
Fo4 Companions Favorite Places To Kiss Their S/O
➼ Word Count » 0.5k ➼ Warnings » None ➼ Genre » Romantic
MacCready loves to kiss the tip of your nose because he thrives off the way you crinkle it in response. He'll rest his hands on your shoulders before tugging you into him. He's the perfect mix of quick and romantic.
Nick's a bit old-fashioned. He prefers to take your hands in his and leave gentle kisses along the top. He's an old-school romantic and wouldn't dare do anything too vulgar or out there for someone of your stature.
Cait always goes for your neck. She likes to leave a trail of hickeys down the side of your throat so that it's visible to everyone. She thinks you look so pretty when she covers you in bite marks.
Danse kisses you like a husband who's leaving for work in the morning. It's almost always a quick peck to your lips, but occasionally he'll get a bit frisky and kiss you for longer. Anything other than that will get him all flustered.
Preston loves to hold your face in his hands and kiss the crown of your head softly. It reminds him that you're safe, and he considers it to be one of the most affectionate spots someone could kiss their partner. Kind and protecting.
Codsworth can't technically kiss you, but he loves it when you kiss him, doesn't matter where it is. You can always expect a nice little gesture afterward too.
Piper loves grabbing your face and peppering it with kisses. She thinks it's so cute when it leaves you smiling.
Curie likes to open your hand up and leave small pecks along your palm. She's still getting used to her synth body and finds the human hands so fascinating to feel and inspect.
Strong refuses to kiss you and would hate if you kissed him, but he'll pat you on the head to show his affection.
Hancock prefers to nip at the lobes of your ears over anything. He likes the primal feeling he gets when he gently tugs at your skin, and would especially love it if it got you flustered.
Deacon doesn't like kissing you as much as he likes tracing shapes and symbols into your skin. He feels awkward when it comes to kissing you, but if he had to pick, it'd be your shoulders. That way you don't have to see his face and it doesn't have to be long.
X6-88 won't kiss you often, but when he does it's almost always on your neck. He'll wrap his arms around you from behind and leave a quick and firm kiss on the side of your throat.
Old Longfellow likes to wrap his arms around your lower back and yank you closer to him before kissing the outer part of your cheek. He's not one to show affection out in public, but he makes an exception when it comes to this.
Gage believes that the only way worth kissing someone is when it's rough, long, and on the mouth. He'll grab your jaw or push you up against a wall and make out with you right there. He only ever does it in private, you have a reputation to uphold after all, but if you push him far enough he wouldn't mind doing it in front of the other gangs.

Paladin Danse Post Blind-Betrayal Headcanons
I have a few headcanons for Danse on how his life would be after Blind Betrayal. Before I get into them though, I'd like to say I believe Blind Betrayal would happen during both the Minuteman and Brotherhood of Steel routes. This is told where you are the SoSu, but can be interpreted if the reader were not!
✧ Danse, when being spared, would live in either Red Rocket or Sanctuary. He knows that the Brotherhood wouldn't look for him there or show near there. This is partly because you had suggested it, but also because when you tell him you were from Sanctuary/Vault 111, he mentioned that there was nothing of value for the Brotherhood up there.
✧ No matter where he's staying, he'd be great friends with Sturges. His love for power armor plus Sturges love for tinkering would make for a great duo. Plus, if the Minuteman were the ones who dealt with the Institute, the data that you give to Sturges might contain the details that he himself is also a synth (or the data that the BoS has on Danse being a synth may have Sturges data as well, so Danse sought him out).
✧ He'd run or operate a power armor shop. If he were in Sanctuary, Sturges might also help him. He'd offer to sell parts, fix up people's armor, as well as selling people armor. With his BoS knowledge, he'd be able to make sure that the people have the protection they need for the settlement.
✧ The power armor shop would be located in the garage of Red Rocket, or the garage of your old home in Sanctuary would be worked on to make a make-shift shop.
✧ If he lives in Red Rocket, he'd go back and forth between Red Rocket and Sanctuary to trade and sell parts and salvage. Also to talk and hang out to Sturges. They would talk about the shops, what they're working on, etc. Hell, maybe they'd invite each other to help work on a project together.
✧ Danse would also offer his services to help with the protection of the settlements. He would help guard the settlements from attacks and train others on how to do so efficiently.
✧ Scribe Haylen would probably visit him often too. She'd let him know of anything of note happening in the BoS, help give him any extra salvage for his shop, and possible warn him if the BoS planned on taking an expedition up to the area (Especially if Red Rocket, Sanctuary, or Abernathy Farms was one of the settlements the BoS wanted food from).
✧ Depending on if Danse is romanced or not, Haylen would either eventually open up to Danse or be in a relationship with Rhys. Either way, they would stay close friends.
✧ Danse would also become buddies with Nick. Sure, he may distrust and dislike him before, but after he himself learns he's a synth, he'd open up. Albeit slowly. Don't expect this man to change his opinions overnight, he did dedicate himself to the Brotherhood after all.
✧ He might not become friends with Hancock, but I can see him also just 'accepting he exists' at this point. Again, don't expect this man to change his views overnight. Since Hancock is a ghoul, he's in the same predicament as Danse. But, since he's a ghoul and not a synth, Danse most likely would stay his distance.

fo4 companions as dads? :0
Fo4 companions as parents!
Added female companions too, also I know Hancock and Valentine both can't have kids, so just imagine them as adoptive/stepparents. I also know it's not really clear as to whether or not synths can reproduce.
Headcanons, talk of pregnancy, obviously.
Cait:

❤︎ Having kids was never part of Cait's plans for the future. Taking care of little snots while working a career at the combat zone was pretty much impossible. To add to that, her own awful upbringing made her afraid.
❤︎ So when the two of you were expecting a little one of your own, she panicked. She loved the kid, she truly did. But she had no clue how she was gonna go about it. There was now a tiny human being that relied on her for everything.
❤︎ Stand offish and distant with the child at first. She is scared to hold them, feed them or generally deal with them, afraid to harm them like her parents did to her. Just about broke down crying once out of frustration and helpnessness.
❤︎ Slowly settles into it with your help. The woman will hold the kid more often, loosen up and actually try to enjoy parenting a little. Motherhood still makes her wanna tear her hair out sometimes, but she'll never let anything happen to them.
❤︎ Bonding with the child is bittersweet for her. On the one hand she is happy that her child isn't afraid of her, relishing in how they run as fast as their little legs can carry them to get their moms comfort after scraping a knee. On the other hand, it dawns on her even more just how shitty her life was before.
❤︎ Not the gentlest parent. Cait has affectionately called your child a 'little shite' on more than one occasion. And while she keeps them away from chems, as they become teens she might give them a little sip of booze every now and then.
Curie:
❤︎ Curie is a walking database of medical knowledge and other important information, so she is probably the best equipped for taking care of a little one. She just wasn't expecting the parental affection to hit her like a trainwreck.
❤︎ Adjusts to parenthood pretty well, all things considered. She has to grapple with newfound emotions, but she can pull herself together enough to take care of the kid. She's a lot more energetic than you when it comes to late night feedings and changing filthy clothes.
❤︎ You have a very healthy child. Curie closely monitors the child's health wherever she can. She tries to find the best foods for them to eat, gets them to avoid stress and keep up good hygiene. It can get a little annoying for the little one, but she means well.
❤︎ Discipline isn't her strong suit. She's not confrontational and the little tear filled tantrums tug on her heart strings. Her logical side knows she has to stand her ground, but her newer, emotional side just wants to hug them and make the crying stop.
❤︎ Probably the calmest when the child does something out of the ordinary. Likely has had to reassure you that a young child not breathing for three seconds isn't any cause for concern. Also fusses less when the child gets scrapes or cuts, unless they're serious.
❤︎ Loves teaching the child everything she knows. Practically homeschools them with a crap ton of medical information and how to treat their own wounds. She thinks education is incredibly important and wants the child to be prepared.
Danse:

❤︎ Danse has had thoughts of being a father before, an idea he abandoned when he found out he was a synth. He wasn't expecting to have a little one of his own, but he couldn't be happier about it. It may not have been what he expected, but he was going to be the best damn dad he could be.
❤︎ Does everything in his power to keep his new little family safe. He fusses over your health and reminds you constantly to take it easy. He keeps the stoic face, but on the inside the former paladin partly feels like he doesn't deserve this, and is afraid his nature as a synth will come back to cause problems.
❤︎ Completely smitten with his little son or daughter. He could spend hours just holding their fragile body in his strong arms. Danse would do anything for them, no matter the cost. That deep seated loyalty once reserved for the Brotherhood now solely focused on his family.
❤︎ Bit of a stricter dad. Definitely wants the child to learn discipline. To tiny up their room, clean up after themselves and create structure in their life and routine. He's also firm in training them himself, wanting to make sure they can take care of themselves. Genuinely wants his kid to do better than him.
❤︎ If he has a daughter, he'd definitely would be a bit more protective of her, especially when it came to any potential partners. Doesn't matter what gender his child is, boyfriends and girlfriends have to meet him first before he lets them into the family.
❤︎ Incredibly proud of his children, but takes it a bit hard when they leave to be on their own. Doesn't matter how long it's been, he'll still go across the Commonwealth or further to visit them.
Deacon:

❤︎ Deacon loves kids, he even wanted his own with his late wife. But he doesn't know how to feel at the news. He'll love that kid more than anything else on this world, but he feels like he can't be a good dad. With his past and his job weighing on him, he feels like a liability. He's not even sure he wants the child to ever know his part in the Railroad.
❤︎ Stuck between wanting to be close to his family at all costs and staying away so the Institute or other anti-Railroad groups can't harm his child because of his job. He always has to have other agents watching over you before he feels even mildly comfortable letting you out of sight.
❤︎ A lot more hesitant about changing his appearance with surgery. At first he didn't think about it. But this is the face his kiddo is used to, the face that their little eyes light up at and reach out for. It just becomes a whole lot less appealing and he tries to avoid it.
❤︎ Hides his worry about his family very well. Deacon acts all carefree, gently tossing his child in the air and catching them or playfighting. He is the typical playful dad that sometimes acts as much as a child as the little one.
❤︎ Teaches the kid to be strong, but also accepting. He wants his child to never judge wastelanders that are different to humans, whether that be ghouls or synths. But above else Deacon wants them to be able to take care of themselves when he no longer can't.
❤︎ Worst sense of dad humor. Turns a lot of things into a joke when it's appropriate. It annoys the hell out of his next of kin, but he thinks it's funny.
John Hancock:
❤︎ Wasn't too sure about taking care of your kid. Don't get him wrong, he loves you, and by extension he also loves your little one. He's just not the best influence on a child. But he cares too much to stay away. He may have been a screw up, but at least he can prevent his newfound stepchild from ending up like him.
❤︎ Takes on a bit more of a fun uncle role to your child. Plays around with them, takes them on trips, will let them have a little sip of his booze if they're old enough. Definitely the fun (step)parent
❤︎ He's your childs scary dog privilege. Nobody dares to mess with Hancock's family, and he knows it. He sticks close to your childs side, glaring at anyone he deems a threat.
❤︎ Sometimes has Fahrenheit or the Neighbourhood watch babysit them while he's busy. You come back to heavily armed men and ghouls feeding them some sweets.
❤︎ Has cursed in front of your kid, will curse in front of them again. Your child learns some pretty colorful language from a young age, good luck for that.
❤︎ Makes dirty jokes to you as well. They're cryptic enough to where your child doesn't get why you're so flustered. They have a major realization about it when they're older.
Nick Valentine:
❤︎ Nick gets used to having your child around pretty fast. He likes kids, and he doesn't mind taking on a parental role whatsoever. At least, as far as you'll allow him to do so. Last thing he wants is to overstep any boundaries.
❤︎ Keeps your kid out of trouble. Scolds them when they sneak out or do anything stupid. He comes across like a grumpy old dad.
❤︎ Always finds out what your child is up to, nothing stays hidden from the old detective. Has found your young child back so many times when they ran off irresponsibly to go play.
❤︎ Is your childs shoulder to cry on. Nick is great at giving them advice, and generally listening to their problems. Your child sees him as someone they can closely trusted.
❤︎ Nick genuinely loves your child like his own. He'd sacrifice himself without second thought, and he counts his lucky stars that you let him into their life.
❤︎ One time he even got your child their own detective outfit, promising them a job at the detective agency when they're old enough to do so. Calls them his little detective.
Piper Wright:
❤︎ Piper was already raising her little sister, so she was a little bit hesitant to add another child into the mix, but she couldn't deny the appeal of a family. She wants to do right, to be a good parent.
❤︎ Definitely a playful mom. Piper likes playing around with the child, joking around. She loves lightly tossing them in the air and catching them.
❤︎ Nick Valentine is the usual babysitter. Piper rarely trusts anyone else to take care of them, given her reputation as the reporter troublemaker. Enough people have it out for her, and they're not above harming her family. Maybe Nat babysits when she's a little older.
❤︎ Speaking of people wanting to harm her or her family, she always keeps a close eye on the child at all times if she can help it. She's too scared something will happen to them if she turns away.
❤︎ Nat plays with her little niece / nephew a lot. While you and Piper make dinner or unwind, Nat will mess around with the childs toys or playfight them.
❤︎ Piper loves taking the child with her to run errands throughout Diamond city once she's more comfortable. It always ends with Piper taking them to noodle stand. It becomes a ritual.
Porter Gage:

❤︎ Gage never wanted to become a dad. He wasn't the fondest of kids, raising them as a raider was nigh impossible and he already had enough of a target on his back from the Nuka world raiders as is. He wasn't happy when he found out about the fact he was gonna have a child, but he wouldn't ever abandon you.
❤︎ Immediately goes to pulling strings to try and keep you safe. Keeping an ear out for anyone thinking this is a good time to try and take you out while you're vulnerable. You're quite literally the only person he cares about, and he downright refuses to lose you over this.
❤︎ Gage expected to hate parenthood, to resent his child because he had to sacrifice so much to keep safe a baby he didn't even want. He also hated seeing you suffer through the entire process, risking your own health. But when the tiny little hands grabbed onto his finger for the first time he was a goner.
❤︎ Being a dad at first isn't his favorite. He has to fight tooth and nail to keep the baby from getting killed. The crying, messes and late nights aren't helping. Still he couldn't imagine leaving them behind. He wants the kid to succeed in the world and there's nothing he wouldn't do for his family.
❤︎ Begins to enjoy being a dad a whole lot more when the child is a bit older and can talk, doing more things on their own. Assuming it's possible, Gage enjoys taking the child to play the games around Nuka world whenever he has time off. The innocent laughter from his child makes him feel like he's doing a good job shielding them from the harsh realities of the world. As far as it's possible in a place filled with raiders.
❤︎ Still he can't let his child grow up soft and naive. He teaches the child everything he learned to survive. How to manipulate others in their favor, to use weapons, generally to survive in a harsh worlds. Also drills it into the kid never to play hero. He doesn't care how much others are suffering, he's not risking the only people he cares about.
Preston Garvey:

❤︎ Would fist fight an army of behemoths for his family no questions asked. He's a loyal minuteman, and a fiercely loyal dad and husband. He takes his job of protecting settlements even more serious for their sake. He'd die for his family, for the chance for his child to have a better future than he ever had.
❤︎ Whenever he feels hopeless he takes the child into his arms, sees their little smile, hears their little laughs. It makes it seem like everything he suffered through was worth it.
❤︎ Sometimes he puts his hat on the childs head. He'll look at you with a big smile, asking; "Hey babe, what do you think? Future general?"
❤︎ When the minutemen have secured an area, he'll let his child 'patrol' the area with him, complete with fake weapon and all. They're just proudly strutting after their dad, looking proud of themselves.
❤︎ Doesn't like being angry or stern with them. He knows he has to, it's a part of parenting. But seeing their little faces scrunch up with upset as they cry at a deserved scolding, he just feels like the scum of the earth. Poor guy has to fight to keep a straight face and now immediately hold them and apologize.
❤︎ When your child is a little older, Preston allows them to do jobs around the settlement for caps. He's very hesitant about sending them out as a soldier. He knows very well it's hypocritical, since he believes in dying for freedom. But the idea of his child becoming a martyr makes him feel ill.
Robert J. MacCready:
❤︎ MacCready already has Duncan, but his jaw still dropped when you told him the news. He was incredibly excited to have another child, but deathly afraid something would happen to you or the baby.
❤︎ Completely overprotective. You're not traveling anywhere, you're staying in a settlement or other type of home. He lost one love of his life, he refuses to lose another. He'll take up extra jobs close to you if he has to put extra caps on the table.
❤︎ Since he already had a child, he figured he was used to the feeling. But as soon as he got to hold his second bundle of joy, he actually broke down sobbing. Mixed feelings of guilt, love, joy and a hint of sadness. He also made a note to include Duncan in it as much as possible. He tells the older child that he's a great big brother, letting him hold his little half sibling as well.
❤︎ Spends as much time with you and the kids as possible. MacCready uses all the experience he gained with Lucy and Duncan to do things better for you and the new child. He's also incredibly paranoid. If the baby stops moving or breathing for a bit too long, he's up immediately to check on them, even waking up a lot faster than usual.
❤︎ If you live somewhere safe, he slowly becomes comfortable enough to take your child and Duncan out on little trips with dad. He'll teach them to use guns, life skills and how to stay safe. Also a massive sucker for play fights, he just becomes the kids' personal playground. It's not uncommon to find him laughing while trying to pin down one of the kids while they try to grab onto him. Sometimes reads them comics too. Just like Cait he might let them have a little sip of his whiskey if they ask nicely.
❤︎ He hates it when you or the kids are out of his sight, first of all. He dreads the day the kids leave home to make it on their own. If it were up to MacCready, they'd stay with him forever. Just about gets the worst case of empty nest syndrome and if it were up to him, he'd give them another sibling.
X6-88:
❤︎ X6-88 and parenting is a disaster waiting to happen. The courser has the emotional capacity of a wooden spoon, and absolutely zero fatherly instincts. Had a complete poker face the first time he held the child in his hands.
❤︎ Absolute pro at keeping the child safe, though. Nobody is getting close enough to the child to hurt them before they're shot down. Not that anyone really dares to try anyway, X6-88 is pretty intimidating as is.
❤︎ A bit harsh on punishments and discipline. He has trouble recognizing that he is dealing with a child, not a disobedient synth. He doesn't really understand that children are all emotion and impulse, and lack comprehension and logic. He just kind of stands there while the child is crying and upset.
❤︎ When he learns a bit more about how to deal with kids, he puts them on a healthy diets, trying to keep out rads and makes sure they don't get sick. Regularly takes temperature and checks for injuries they might have.
❤︎ Just like Danse, he finds training very important. He wants them to learn how to calculate dangers, how to fight back, what weapons work best against certain wasteland animals.
❤︎ Prefers to keep the child close to him. It makes no sense to him that children go off on their own when they're older. It doesn't logically make sense, the kid is saying close where he can keep an eye on things.
Old Longfellow: (Grandpa bonus)

❤︎ Longfellow never got to be a father, so when you walked into his life, it didn't take a heck of a long time for him to take you under his wing. When you eventually had a kid of your own, the old hunter softens up a bit.
❤︎ Kind of a 'dad with the cat he said he didn't want' scenario. Grumbles every time he 'has' to babysit, but secretly loves doing so. He'll sit by the fireplace in a chair with the child sitting on his lap, huddled up in a blanket.
❤︎ Just about has a heart attack whenever he loses the child for more than five seconds, fearing the harsh and dangerous island might get to them, only to find them playing near the water or something. Longfellow's response was try and build a fence around his cabin so they can't just walk off.
❤︎ Will not let them anywhere near the Children of Atom. As soon as one of their messengers breathe near the child, the old man is just about ready to start fight over it.
❤︎ Tells them stories about his youth when they go to sleep. He talks about all his hunting trips, about what kind of creatures he encountered and the game he brought back home.
❤︎ Your child does not like grandpa Longfellow's cooking. They can never, ever look at a Mirelurk the same again after having to eat so much jerky.

I haven't been on Tumblr or active with fallout for a long time, but I've always really loved how you write for the companions and I remember reading through your masterlists for comfort whenever I was boref or sad! I don't know if you still do requests, but,
How do you think the companions would be with a Sole Survivor with anger issues or a nasty temper? Especially if they're actively trying to work on it to be better with not lashing out?
Companions React: Sole working on their anger issues!
Cait:
She doesn't even bat an eye
I imagine anger is a very common defense mechanism in the wasteland, even more so with raiders that already have the "angry brutes" persona expected of them
Doesn't mean she's not the slightest bit disappointed, though
Not quite uncomfortable (or at least, not in a way she'd admit), but after being forced to both be full of rage and surrounded by unapologetically angry assholes for most of her life, she doesn't have a positive opinion of it.
So she'll actually be quite pleasently surprised if she sees Sole even express slight remorse. Actually making an effort to change? She's impressed
She knows how hard it is to control that anger. She sees, possibly better than anyone, how strong Sole is when they reign themselves in.
Curie:
As a Ms. Nanny I think she wouldn't appreciate anger from anyone. Not only does she think it's unecessary, but she can't really empathize - anger doesn't come often, if at all for her.
She gains a new perspective with her synth body, though.
Emotions aren't just mild and appropriate anymore, they're intense. Everything she feels becomes full-body sensations that throws her off her tracks.
(She might even burst into tears of Sole directs their anger to her)
I feel like she's very empathetic too. It won't take long for her to go from being annoyed by Sole to completely understanding them or even getting angry alongside them.
Sole working on their anger issues might become a team effort with Curie around, but she's more than happy to be along for the ride and keep them both accountable.
Codsworth:
Codsworth, forever loyal, will do everything in his power to support Sole
Breathing techniques, collecting broken bottles and dishes for Sole to smash, finds those little tabletop punching bags or stress balls for Sole. Just anything that comes to mind.
Knows when it's time to just give Sole their space, thankfully. If they want to go off and break a room in rage he'll patiently wait outside until they're done and offer to help clean up
Dare I say he might be a bit too hesitant to call Sole out on their behavior - he'll point out general snark when he sees it, but explosive, rightous, or grieving anger? He'll give them as much leeway as he can
He's very happy to see Sole work on themselves and will make sure to remind them he's proud when he notices them improve!
Danse:
Danse has seen this time and time again, so he's not at all phased by it
The second he clocks Sole's anger issues he's leading them towards exercising as an outlet. It works for him and for most soldiers he's trained.
I wouldn't be surprised of anger is the emotion he's most comfortable with dealing with. He's awkward as hell around someone crying, celebrating, feeling sick... but anger has a clear source and response. He can work with that.
That doesn't mean he'll put up with any sort of insubordination, however. Sole will still be getting strict punishments for acting out against a superior.
He will be proud of them for working on their anger issues, and will be more than happy to aid them in any way he can. He thinks very highly of people who can recognize disruptive behavior put in the effort to work on themselves.
Deacon:
He's been there, but that doesn't mean he's too thrilled with it.
Making a scene is the last thing a spy should be doing, and even if Sole can manage their anger while on the job, it still makes him uneasy when he does see them lash out.
But I feel like Deacon's too willing to bite his tongue to keep from rocking the boat. It'll probably take a lot for him to bring up Sole's anger issues, especially if it's clear they're actually working on it.
He'll take a more distanced approach overall. Maybe leading them away from triggering situations before they happen and whatnot
Won't indulge if Sole tries to turn their anger onto him. Like if they're the type of person to try and bait an argument to let off steam he can see right through it, and he really doesn't appreciate it. Might direct them towards a healthier outlet if he's feeling nice.
Gage:
Oh, Gage likes it. Of course he does. Half of being a raider is just one big dick measuring contest.
Sole working on their anger issues would be a double-edged sword to him. He wants Sole to be strategic about their anger, not get rid of it entirely. Only snap at people who deserve it, right?
(And a lot of people deserve it)
He'll always expect a certain amount of hostility from Sole, and may even prefer there to be a bit too much than a bit too little. Other than that, he's not too fussed about Sole's emotions.
At worst might tease them a bit, but he's smart enough to back off if he can tell they really don't appreciate it
Hancock:
I feel like Hancock's conquered anger as an emotion. He's got it under control, whether that be through mindfulness or copious amounts of drugs and alcohol.
So I think he'll actually be good at helping Sole get better if they ask for his help.
Won't put up with Sole snapping at him though. You can't deny being mayor has gotten to his head a bit, and being accused or questioned makes him feel like his position is being threatened.
Sole will have to go out of their way to apologize to him if they get in an argument, especially if they started it
Otherwise he doesn't take any of their issues to heart for the most part. It's like water off a ducks back, as long as they're not causing issues for Goodneighbor citizens, of course.
Maccready:
He begrudgingly puts up with them at first - he's dealt with a lot worse in the past and he needs the money
Once he sees how much Sole is putting in the effort to change, he really starts to appreciate them more
It's a breath of fresh air to see someone actually working on themselves instead of taking the easy road and embracing being an asshole
I don't think he'll comment on it too much unless it interferes with whatever work they're doing, he likes to stay in his own lane and let others work through their own problems
Nick:
He sees Sole's anger and is curious about the root cause. Is it grief? Were they wronged in some way? Are they trying to protect themself?
I imagine Nick's good at conflict resolution in general. If Sole snaps at him he'll almost always walk away and let them take a breather before revisiting the conversation. He doesn't take what they say to heart and he's willing to be as patient as it takes as long as they're making an effort to be better.
Nick definitely gets snappy if Sole lets out their anger on others, though. He won't hesitate to call out if they're overreacting on someone who doesn't deserve it.
He's good at reading the situation, at least. You know you've fucked up when Sole snaps at you and Nick just shrugs and lets it happen.
Piper:
I feel like Piper's a pretty passionate person, which can pead to her and Sole hyping each other up when something pisses them off
Like Sole would get in an argument with someone else and hours later Piper will be like "... I can't believe he said that to you!" and they'll start ranting all over again
Immediately loses her energy if Sole directs it at her though
She's used to being yelled at so it doesn't affect her much, but she doesn't like seeing Sole upset and will turn her attention to trying to help them feel better
In general more worried for Sole than annoyed by their behavior. She obviously doesn't approve of snapping at people who don't deserve it but she knows Sole already knows and doesn't need to be badgered about it.
Preston:
Preston's not exactly a stranger to anger. Irritability is a symptom of depression. The rage he feels towards what happened at Quincy almost scares him at times.
But I also feel like he's done a lot of unhealthy repression that makes him just a bit uncomfortable with seeing Sole's outbursts
Both because hey, that's not how the general should act, and because he knows how much he wants to do the same.
So he gets it, he's just not comfortable with it. He'll help Sole with whatever they need but he'll probably want them to tell him that, since his best advice would be like, alcoholism and crying yourself to sleep.
(And he doesn't want to admit he's been doing that for a while now)
Honestly probably annoying to get into an argument with him. He'll just blank stare 😐 at Sole and wait until they're done. Bro's not engaging until you use your inside voice.
Strong:
Yes!! YES!! FEEL YOUR RAGE!! KILL DESTORY MAIM!!
He's like a dog hearing the word "walk". He gets hyped.
The only time he won't be hyped is if Sole's more of a "four hour long screaming match" type of person. He doesn't care too much for talking.
Sole has Strong as the devil on their soulder telling them to smash peoples skulls in on a daily basis.
X6-88:
X6 isn't impressed.
Maybe it's all the trauma of being raised as a robot and having any undesirable emotion beat out of him, but he views anger as a weakness overall.
Loud, uncontrollable, and rude is the exact opposite of what the director of the Institute should be. He probably even goes as far as to think that they should keep their cool even during combat. No need to complicate things.
Honestly he probably has some deep set issues regarding emotions in general. Anything more than mild and situationally appropriate is annoying to him.
He'll put up with Sole as they get better, though. He knows better than to complain while Sole's actively taking steps to improve themself. Don't punish behavior you want to see and all.
