Me and my freaking ship charts for my freaky mind
#I'm gonna rant about them in the tags a lil bit so bear with me#I really like the idea of them taking turns “spooning” each other (or just one laying on top of the other idk)#bc they listen to each others' heartbeats since Lisa's dying lmao#and idk where losa being taller came from#but her canon height says she's 5'11 and i believe it honestly#and kind of the same thing with her being trans; i just think it's a neat character study#especially since we dont know anything about her past or who she was before the game's events#and i didnt rly know how to mark Jean's flirtiness levels because Jean flirtation is VERY different from Lisa flirtation#hers is much more unintentional or very charming like a kiss to the back of Lisa's hand or dancing her around her office when it's late#and she speaks formally too which adds to the unintentional rizz#Lisa cant help but fall for her fr#and i think they are the embodiment of the “fell first fell harder” trope#Lisa falls first and she's content to watch Jean from afar bc she knows how important her job and Mond are to her#and then Jean finally catches up tripping falling bleeding all over ripping her heart out to show Lisa how it beats for her#altho i think it was hard for her to come to terms with it especially since she doesnt want her personal life to interfere with work#so she has to find the balance first#and Jean also knows that being flirty is just who Lisa is and that they are both extremely loyal to each other#but Lisa gets pushed a lot probably when other women start hitting on Jean a little too much#and they're both equally overprotective of each other especially out on dangerous missions#but Lisa feels like she HAS to protect Jean more bc of her importance to the safety of Mond#this is just me rambling tho im literally so in love with them bc theyre just so soft and the wives ever#i am the most sane jeanlisa shipper actually#ty for coming to my ted talk#jean gunnhildr#lisa mici#jeanlisa#genshin impact#ship chart#character art is mine

Only You (Ted Lasso x Fem!Reader)
Pairing: Ted Lasso x Fem!Reader
Summary: You and Ted have a moment in a closet at Roy and Keeley’s wedding.
Warnings: feelings, handjob/oral sex (m receiving), sassy (she is a warning of her own)
Word Count: 3.2k
a/n: i’m back! i’ve missed being active on here and writing, so i’m really excited to get this one posted. my requests are OPEN, so send things in! let me know what you want to see and i’ll either write it into a fic or do some headcanons or we can just talk!
You can find my masterlist here.
————-
It was a warm, sunny Saturday. The perfect day for Roy and Keeley’s wedding. You spent all morning helping Keeley get ready, and by the time she walked down the aisle she was buzzing with excitement. The morning had gone by in a blur, and it wasn’t until right before the ceremony you were able to check your phone.
Ted: Everything going okay?
Y/N: Yeah! We’re almost ready. See you in a few ;)
You and Ted’s friendship had slowly become flirty and more physical over the past few months. Nothing too extreme, but he now greeted you with a smile and a hug in the mornings. When he walked you home after your nights at the pub with him and Beard, a soft kiss on the cheek came after his goodbyes. Your favorite part, though, were the kisses that you now shared during your weekly post-match movie nights.
What started out as a soft peck had now become the occasional make-out session. Other than Sassy, you knew Ted’s sexual experience had been somewhat limited. With that in mind, and his most recent drama with his ex wife, you didn’t want to push him too far too soon. After being his best friend for so long, you’d started developing feelings for him. What you imagined would be the best hookup of your life, wasn’t worth sabotaging your chance of being with him.
You let out a content sigh as you breathed in Ted’s scent. He smelled like laundry detergent, and you could smell the light notes of his cologne from where your face was pressed to his shoulder. He’d chosen a rom-com for this week's post-match movie night.
The couple on scene held each other in a dramatic embrace before partaking in an even more dramatic kiss. Rom-coms weren’t your forté, but you loved hearing Ted ramble about them. Ted’s arm tightened around you while he watched as if he were scared you were going to get up and leave. You slowly lifted an arm from its place tucked between you to drape over his stomach. Ted relaxed even more under your touch as you lightly grabbed at the fabric of his shirt, just reminding him you were there.
As the ending unfolded you didn’t pay much attention, until you heard Ted speaking your name.
“Y/N?”
You tilted your head to look at him, not wanting to move from where you were now halfway in his lap. His face was so close to yours that you could smell the wine on his breath from dinner.
You heard him speak, “Do you want to watch another one? If not I can go-“
“No! None of that, it’s late and you’re buzzed.. You can stay here tonight. You know I don’t mind..”, your eyes were glued to his as he trailed off.
Instead of a response you just got a soft hum. Not that it mattered, you were too busy taking in his features anyway. Your eyes traced from his freckles, to his perfectly pointed nose, and when you reached his lips it’s like a switch flipped in his mind. The hand resting on your shoulder came up to stroke your hair, as it often did, but after a few seconds it moved around to cup your cheek.
You heard him gulp before stuttering, “Can I.. kiss you?”. His eyes slowly searched yours as you responded, “Please.”
Your eyes fluttered closed as he pressed his lips to yours. After a few seconds you both pulled away, hearts racing, and went right back in without missing a beat. As you kissed he held you tight, arms holding onto you in such a gentle Ted-like manner. When he pulled away, your breathing had picked up and your cheeks were flushed, and you could only giggle as you pushed your face back into Ted’s shoulder.
That became a weekly thing. When one of you had a particularly stressful week, when something good happened, when something bad happened. At movie nights and outside the Crown & Anchor after Beard went home. In your office at the club long after everyone had gone home.
Neither of you talked about it. Ted was worried you just wanted to hookup, like Sassy. For you, his feelings were legitimate and the idea of being shot down actually hurt. You were worried he didn’t feel the same, or maybe had legitimate feelings for her. After all, you did hear about his failed attempt at asking her out a few months back. Luckily she hadn’t come around since, and you were hoping it would stay that way.
You and Ted told each other just about everything, and you knew if he’d seen her since, he’d tell you. Deep down, you just hoped the next time she dropped in, she wouldn’t spend the night with Ted.
Your fears were put up to bat as you lined up at the altar. There she was, sitting towards the back by herself. Surprisingly, Keeley didn’t ask her to be part of the bridal party. Since Roy only asked Ted and Beard to be his groomsmen, she felt she should keep it small as well. The smirk Sassy wore made you feel uneasy. As if you knew what her end goal was.
Across the altar, your eyes moved to where Ted stood, and to your surprise he was already staring at you. His cheeks flushed when you caught him, but his smile matched yours.
After the ceremony everyone headed to the reception. It was glamorous, perfect for Keeley. Once everyone gave their speeches you snuck away to the bar. The feeling of a warm hand against your back made you jump.
“Hi angel”, you knew that voice anywhere.
You spun around to see Ted there, hair neatly combed, mustache freshly trimmed. He must’ve noticed your admiration when his cheeks blushed once again.
“Hi, Ted. Dance floor get too busy for you?”, he chuckled at your response.
“Right on, LeBron. You know me, just busting out the dance moves.”, his statement made you both chuckle.
The bartender brought your drink as Ted moved closer to you to get out of the waiter’s way. He didn’t move from where he was pressed to half of your back, though. Instead, he brought a hand up to rest on your hip. As you sipped your drink, his thumb softly stroked where your dress showed your warm skin.
He leaned in to whisper in your ear, “So what’dya say we-“
“Ted!!”, Sassy’s voice was loud as she approached your other side. Ted’s hand didn’t move, if anything he actually held you tighter, which had you smirking into your drink.
“Well, Hi, Sassy.”
“I was wondering if you’d like a guest in your hotel room tonight? You know, like-“
Ted politely cut her off, “I’ll pass, Sassy. But I hope you have a fun night!”
“What?”, she sounded shocked at his opposition.
“No, thank you, Sassy.”, by now you’d ordered another drink as you sat in the middle of a now-awkward conversation.
“But I thought we had a thing going on? Is that not what we do?”, she sounded almost offended.
“We used to, but it’s not the same anymore-“ Ted’s hand lightly squeezed at your hip as he spoke. “I don’t think we need to continue all that, Sassy. But I wish you the best! There’s lots of guys here that would love to-“, although he stayed polite her expression was one of annoyance and possibly disbelief.
“You know what? That’s fine, Ted-“ she glanced at you as she cut him a clearly fake smile, “You two have a good night.”
You and Ted stayed silent as she walked away, and both let out a sigh of relief the second she was gone.
Ted let out a whistle, “Well that was-“
“Yeah”, you chuckled with him.
“Didn’t want a night with Sassy Smurf?”, you tried acting nonchalant but you were eager to hear what he had to say.
Ted glanced down to where his hand was still holding you before responding, “You know, uh- I don’t- I’m not really interested in that anymore.”
“No?”
“Somethin’ else I’d rather do with my night”, his smile was bright as you began to grin.
“Oh? And what’s that?”, you teased.
His eyes darted around the room before he leaned in, his breath hot on your ear, “Lemme show you, darlin’”.
You looked up to meet his mischievous eyes as you bit your lip in excitement.
No words were spoken as Ted led you out of the ballroom and through a hallway, into a small empty office. No words were needed, though. You’d follow Ted wherever.
Your eyes traveled over his figure and how well it filled out his suit while he shut the door, locked it, and pulled the blinds over the small window.
His hands were characteristically stuffed into his pockets as he looked at you with the same admiration.
“Y’look beautiful, y/n.”, you could tell he meant every bit of the word.
“Thank you. So do you.”
“Good for Roy and Keeley, huh?”
“Oh, yeah. It’s been a long time coming.”, you softly mused.
Ted only stared at you as you waited for him to respond.
“What was this for, Ted? Are you feeling okay?”
Ted let out a soft chuckle as he came closer to where you stood against the wall.
“Oh, me? I’m fine as frog’s hair, just needed a minute alone with you.”, his arms opened as he met your figure and you went into them without hesitation. They were strong and intentional in the way they held you to him. He pulled away slightly, but didn’t dare let go of you.
Before you could say another word, he leaned down and pressed his lips to yours. Both of his hands gently cupped your cheeks and his thumbs softly stroked the skin there.
There was no rush as your lips softly met, parted, and met again. It was slow and deliberate. Every move was calculated. When you breathed in, you could smell so much of him, you thought you’d get a high from it. Your hands grasped the sides of his tuxedo, holding him close. One of your hands moved up to softly stroke the side of his face, and your insides burst into flames at the way it made him sigh into your kiss.
Ted slid a hand to your hip and used the leverage to inch you backwards against the wall. You slid your hands under the coat of his tuxedo rubbing softly at his back and holding him to you. Ted’s lips, more wet now, pressed against the corner of yours as he whispered, “S’this alright?”.
“Mhm”, you hummed in agreement as his lips traveled across your jaw. The hairs of his mustache tickled, but all you could focus on was the warm, wet kisses he began pressing to your skin. It was your turn to let out a sigh as he made his way down your neck and to your collarbones before pausing at your ear.
Sure, you’d kissed before. You’d even had a couple makeout sessions, but it never went this far. This was new, and it had the hot feeling of desire pooling deep inside you.
“Only want you, y’know that?”
If the new sensation of him kissing your neck weren’t enough, the admission of his feelings almost sent you into shock.
Your mouth fell open as he continued to nip and lick at your pulse point.
When you didn’t respond, he stopped and pulled away to meet your eyes.
“Y/n? You okay?”
“Y-yeah I just… Feels good, Teddy..”
You could see him grow more confident from your words. You could feel him grow more needy against your hipbone.
“Can I- should we keep going? We can always-“, you stopped his words by pulling him back in. This time when your lips met his, your tongue darted out to tease the sensitive skin of his lips. You could feel his breath hitch as his head tilted to the side in an effort to return the gesture. The way he held your face felt so protective, like he needed you to know he only wanted you.
You grew hot as you both moved faster, and Ted let out the first moan as you reached a hand around to his lower back and used to pull his hips closer to you. It was unmistakable, how turned on Ted was from the way his bulge was firm against your hip. You pulled his face down to where your lips could ghost across his jaw and over to his ear.
“Can I touch you, love?”
A breathy whimper left Ted’s mouth.
“O-of course, only if you want t- oh..”, his words trailed off into a low moan as you softly cupped his bulge through his dress pants. Ted groaned in your ear, only encouraging you even more. Your fingers lightly stroked his cock and he moved to put a hand against the wall before bringing you in for another deep kiss. His tongue immediately began to search for yours, as if it were some holy grail.
The kiss was sloppy. It was wet, messy, driven by built up tension. You traced the zipper of his pants and toyed with the button, silently asking for permission to continue.
“Y/n.. please, hun. Shit..“
The fabric holding the button to the pants seemed as if it were about to pop off as you undid it. Ted’s cock was hot and heavy tucked into his briefs, and for a split second he stopped kissing you to let his head fall onto your shoulder. His lips lazily skirted across your collarbone before biting hard, causing you to give his cock a squeeze. The moan he let out in response was filthy, needy, almost desperate.
“More, Ted?”
“Shit- yes, honey, yes.”
Ted’s eyelashes mimicked butterflies as they fluttered closed. His head fell backwards once you took him into your hand. There were a million ideas of what you could do with him going through your head, but you knew soon enough someone would come looking for you. You needed to know you’d have the chance for more.
“Ted, wait-“
He immediately stiffened and began moving away from you, “Are you okay? Are you hurt?”
You softly chuckled at his concern, “No, no.. I just- I don’t want this to be it.. I just want to make sure we’re on the same page because if not then I think we should stop..”
“What page are you on?”
“I don’t want this to be a one time thing, but I don’t want you to think it’s without feelings either. I have feelings feelings for you.. and-“
Ted cut you off with a gentle kiss, “I hear ya, darlin’. I’m there too. Shoot, we can stop here if you want.”
You flashed him a wicked smile as you squeezed him once more and hummed at the soft groan he let out.
“Just wanted to make sure I’d have the chance to do this again, love.”
“You can do this all you- all you want, sweetheart.. mmm”
You’d pulled his cock out from where it was trapped beneath his boxers. Looking down between the two of you, your mouth was practically watering at the sight of it.
Thick, heavy, tall. A pink angry tip, neatly trimmed hair at the base. Practically begging for the slightest touch from you. It seemed so fitting for the man who was currently melting under your touch.
Leaning your head down, you let a drop of spit fall where your hand was stroking him. The sounds it made were crude, but only turned both of you on more. Ted shoved his face into your shoulder as his moans poured from his lips, but the more you touched him, the louder he grew.
“Ted,” You tilted his head up towards yours, “Gotta be quiet, baby. Don’t want anyone hearing you.. Just me.”
Ted let out a needy whimper against your lips, “Only you, only you- mm”
His words were muffled by your lips as you pulled him in for another kiss. Ted kissed you like it was his sole purpose in life. Hands holding you as close as he could, tongue swirling against yours, hips rocking softly into your hand. Your hand pumped his cock at a steady pace, you were desperate to watch him fall apart for you.
“Oh, m’close- fuck”, he groaned as your hand tightened around him before you pushed him away slightly.
Still stroking him, you sank to your knees.
“Baby you don’t have to..”
His words were breathy, and you could tell he was about to finish. Without a second thought, you placed your swollen lips on the top of his cock while your hand stroked the rest of him.
Almost immediately, hot spurts of his cum hit your tongue. You eased the rest of what you could fit into your mouth as Ted rode out his orgasm. Throaty groans left his mouth as his cock pushed deeper into your throat, and his hands had found a home on your head. You let out a moan of your own after swallowing his release, you’d spent many nights imagining having his cock in your mouth. The real experience was better than you imagined.
As Ted came down from his orgasm, you gently pulled your mouth off him. By the reaction he had from the handjob, you weren’t entirely sure he wouldn’t fall to the floor from a little overstimulation. Not that you wouldn’t want to go there later, but not at your best friend’s wedding.
The sound of the doorknob jiggling broke through the muffled conversations outside, and your heart almost fell out of your chest. You scrambled to stand up while Ted attempted to fix his pants.
“That’s not the bathroom!”, you heard from outside the door. Ted’s blown pupils met yours as you both sighed in relief.
No words were spoken as you both calmed your breathing. Ted’s hand slowly raised to move towards your face, “Oh, you’ve got a little uh..” his words trailed off as he swiped a stray drop of cum from your cheek.
You took his thumb in his mouth before he could do anything else with it, and the groan he let out had you wanting to pull him to the floor right now, wedding be damned.
“Darlin’..”, Ted exhaled.
“Hm?”
“Did you mean that?”
“Mean what?”, your eyebrows furrowed as his eyes looked around the room anxiously.
“The part about the uh- the feelings n’all that”, he sounded like he expected you to shoot him down. His shoulders visibly relaxed at the sound of your breathy chuckle.
“Of course, Ted. Meant every bit of it.”, he flashed you a nervous smile as you brought him in for a kiss.
This time when his lips met yours, he held you in a gentle embrace. When he pulled away his fingers smoothed your hair back into place as best as he could.
“M’glad. Been hoping you’d say that for a while.”
“It was hard finding the words, and then with all you’ve had going on.. I’d rather be here as your best friend who loves you than ruin our relationship because I went too far too fast. One question though..”, you spoke as you slowly moved towards the door. Ted followed you and nodded for you to continue.
“You meant it when you told Sassy no more?”, you cocked a flirty eyebrow at him, but he knew your words weren’t just flirty banter.
“Been meanin’ to do it sooner, actually.”
His words brought a hopeful grin to your face as you both snuck your way back into the wedding.

Love your work! Would you write Rebecca X Female!Reader , where she's working as an assistant coach or something clever but R is very shy and introverted ( Ted is like a father figure ). But when on the pitch next to Ted, R is a complete opposite . Rebecca is intrigued ? She's also protective of R, enjoys having her and Keeley in the office , maybe flirty . Reader is like Kara Danvers from Supergirl ☺️
Thank you SO much!!!💕💕
And I love this so much! Thank you for the request! I hope you like it!!💕
A/n: I don't know anything about Kara Danvers or Supergirl so I'm sorry if I don't hit the mark on that😅😂

When Rebecca first hired you as an assistant coach, she didn't think too much of you. Your references were good, you knew the game better than most people she's met, you were quiet, nice, very girl next door type. Even though she wasn't sure how well you'd fit in with the rest of the managers given they were all pretty outgoing men, she took a chance and it paid off.
Whenever there was a meeting Rebecca noticed that you only ever spoke when spoken to. You were quiet but thorough with your analyses, strategies and had great opinions.
For whatever reason, Keeley immediately took a liking to you and started dragging you into Rebecca's office for "girl talk." For the most part, you just listened, only giving your opinion on things when you were asked. Rebecca was curious how someone so quiet was such a great coach to a particularly rowdy team. But she admired your softness, she loved hearing you laugh and when you spoke, she hung onto every word you said. She's been pretty busy since you were hired and she wasn't able to watch you during trainings so she really had no idea how you operated on the pitch.
Finally, Rebecca found a free afternoon to finally observe training before the first match of the season. She quietly made her way out into the stands and took a seat, her eyes trained on you.
Before training that morning, Coach Lasso asked the group what you all thought the team should focus on today. Piping up, you suggested that the team should work on the finer details of their footwork. Of course it was important to learn new plays, perfect the ones they already knew, but you felt like the boys needed a refresher on the basics.
Coaches Lasso, Beard, Roy and your other assistant manager, Nate, all paused for a moment before agreeing. The boys' footwork had become a bit sloppy, messing up passes, missing goals, all because they weren't kicking the ball with the precision they should be.
Ted and the rest of the guys all agreed and even let you take the reigns for training for the day. It wasn't something you'd done before here at Richmond, but you were really excited to finally show everyone why you deserve to be here.
Rebecca watched as the boys ran a basic play, unsure why you all decided to run such a simple play, but she kept watching to see what happens.
Colin passes the ball over to Sam and even though it looked like a solid pass, Colin wasn't using the proper technique, something Rebecca wasn't paying attention to, but you definitely were.
As soon as Sam got the ball you blew your whistle and everyone stopped.
"COLIN!" You scream across the pitch. "DO I HAVE TO CALL ROY'S NIECE TO COME OVER HERE AND TEACH YOU HOW TO KICK THE BALL?"
The managers all held back a laugh, Roy and Beard smirking with approval, and the rest of the team busted out into laughter. Rebecca on the other hand, was in shock. The sweet, quiet girl she'd gotten to know was replaced by an assertive, confident coach, a side of you she didn't even know existed. She was even more enamored with you now than she ever was before.
"Oh come on coach! It was a fine pass!" He argued.
"'Fine' won't win the whole damn thing! If you want to be 'fine' then drop down to the lower levels of the league!"
The teams laughter fades and a few of the guys whistle and you hear a few mutter "oh shit".
"Run it again!" You say, blowing the whistle again.
"Fuckin' cunt." Colin murmurs under his breath.
The boys reset and start the play over, Colin gets the ball and passes it to Sam again with a perfect execution, giving Sam the opportunity to sink the ball right into the net.
"There we go! That's what I'm talking about!" You yell before blowing your whistle.
Walking out onto the pitch you walk up to Colin and pat him on the back.
"That was perfect! Did you feel how you had way more control when you connected with the ball this time?" You say as you imitate kicking a ball.
"Yes coach, I see what you mean."
"Good! Because when you hit it just right, you don't have to worry about trying to control where the ball is gonna go, you can focus on putting as much or as little power behind the kick to get it to your teammate. Just like you did with Sam, the ball got to him faster and he was able to sink that puppy straight into the net before the other team knew what hit 'em!"
Colin nods at you and you give him another pat on the shoulder before you turn away. Walking back over to the coaches, you see Rebecca sitting in the stands watching. A blush creeps across your cheeks as you give her a little wave and she waves back. You can't read her face, you're not sure if she's impressed, indifferent or unhappy with your coaching style. As training continues you try not to focus on Rebecca and direct your attention to the boys on the field.
Rebecca watches you as training continues. She sees Ted wrap his arm around your shoulder for a moment and says something to you. He spoke too quietly and she's sitting too far away to hear what he said, but she notices you relax a little before he pulls his arm away.
When training was finally over, you all head back inside, Rebecca had left at some point, although you're not sure when. In your office, you're going over a few new plays you've come up with, seeing which player would best fit each position.
"Well howdy there boss!" You hear Ted say as the sound of heels clicking across the floor enters the office. "What'd ya think of today's trainin'?"
"I must admit I was quite impressed." She says.
Looking over your shoulder, you see Rebecca lean up against the door connecting your and Ted's offices.
"Y/n, I almost couldn't believe that was you out there." She says playfully.
The blush creeps up again and you let out a nervous giggle.
"Oh, yeah, thank you."
Rebecca raises and eyebrow at you and flashes you a smile.
"Come up to my office after work, Keeley and I are going to be spending some time up there today."
"Oh? Yeah, of course. Thanks for the invite."
Rebecca smiles at you again and walks out through the locker room.
"Colin, coach l/n really ripped you a new one out there." Isaac says.
"She was such a bitch! I kicked the ball perfect the first time." Colin responds, visibly annoyed.
"I would show your coaches some more respect if I were you, Mr. Hughes." Rebecca says with daggers in her eyes.
"Oh, Ms. Welton, yes, of course, I'm so sorry." He says, obviously taken by surprise because he didn't see her there.
"Even I could tell that first kick was utter garbage." She says before walking away.
Could she really tell? No, absolutely not. But Rebecca knew what you were doing and trusted you. She also was not about to let the players trash talk their coach, especially the only female coach. That was not going to fly in her locker room.
After work you head up to Rebecca's office to find her sitting on the couch with Keeley.
"Y/n! I'm glad you came!" Rebecca says, her face lighting up a little when she sees you.
"Of course, thanks for the invite." You reply with a soft smile.
"Come in, come take a seat," Rebecca moves closer to Keeley, opening up a spot next to her. "would you like a glass of wine?"
"I would love one, thank you."
Rebecca hands you a glass after you sit down and you take a sip, your eyes flickering between the two women.
"I have to say, I'm still shocked that that was you out on the pitch this afternoon." Rebecca says as she takes a sip.
"What happened on the pitch?!" Keeley asks.
"Our sweet, quiet little y/n became this loud, assertive coach. Those boys listened to her as well as they listen to Roy."
"No shit! So you're like an entirely different person when you coach?"
"Um, I guess." You say, the blush returning once again.
"She absolutely does." Rebecca says. "I was impressed, really."
For some reason, that took you by surprise. You didn't think you could ever do anything to impress Rebecca.
"Really?"
"Absolutely, the way you commanded the team was incredible."
"Oh my god I bet it was so hot watching you get all assertive like that!" Keeley says, causing your blush to deepen.
"I don't know about that." You mumble.
Rebecca shrugs a little and smiles at you and you take another sip of wine.
As the night progresses, the three of you talk, laugh and genuinely enjoy each others company. The wine loosened you up a bit and you're talking a little more freely than you usually do. Something that both Rebecca and Keeley seem to be happy about.
"Oh! I wanted to ask you y/n, what did Ted say to you on the pitch this afternoon?" Rebecca asks.
"When?"
"After you yelled at Colin, he put his arm around you and said something to you."
"Oh," you say, blushing once again. "he just said that I was doing a really good job and that he was proud of me."
"Aw I love Ted!" Keeley says. "He's such a sweetheart."
"He's a really good guy, it's nice to have someone so supportive on the pitch."
"I can imagine! It must be tough being the only chick out there."
"It's not too bad, I mean sometimes the guys say shit but I don't let it get to me."
Rebecca stiffens when she hears you say that the team makes comments to her. She doesn't even realize it but her grip on her wine glass tightens.
"What do they say to you?" Rebecca asks.
"Honestly I don't really pay attention, sometimes they're just teasing me, sometimes they like, pretend hit on me, say stupid things. The usual things that immature athletes usually say."
"That is absolutely unacceptable." Rebecca says, her tone growing more serious.
"It's okay really-"
"No it's not, you're their manager, they should respect you just as much as they respect the other managers."
"I guess." You say, shrugging.
"No, no, they absolutely should. And if it continues there will be hell to pay."
"Rebecca, really-"
"No babes she's right," Keeley chimes in. "you absolutely deserve the same amount of respect that the other coaches get and it's some sexist bullshit that you're not getting it."
Coming to terms with the fact that this is absolutely a losing battle, you smile at the two women.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it."
Rebecca wraps her arm around your shoulders and pulls you into her. The moment her skin touches yours your heartbeat quickens. AS she pulls you closer you're engulfed in her perfume. It's a beautiful, no doubt expensive, scent. It automatically relaxes you even though your heart still feels like its beating out of your chest. You look up at Rebecca and she looks down at you and smiles. Immediately her gorgeous green eyes captivate you and you get lost in them for a moment. Opening your mouth to speak, you realize your throat has gone dry so you grab your wine glass and take a sip.
"We got your back babes!" Keeley says.
"We absolutely do." Rebecca says, smiling down at you.
Later that night you lay in bed unable to fall asleep. The moment Rebecca wrapped her arm around you replays over and over again on a loop. You've never felt like that before and you can't figure out why. Was it because she's your boss? Not really. How about because she saw you in your coach mode earlier? Nah. What the hell made you so nervous in such a pretty woman's arms!
Right after that thought passed through your mind it hit you. You liked Rebecca, a lot. Way more than you ever thought or would have admitted to yourself.
Shit. You had a crush on your boss.
The next morning Rebecca calls a meeting with all of the coaches and the team. Everyone gathers in the conference room and you sit in one of the chairs, fidgeting nervously because you think you know why you're all here.
"Good morning everyone, I'm sure you're all wondering why I called this meeting this morning."
"Colin I told ya, you gotta use soap when ya shower mate!" Jamie says, making the entire team laugh.
Rebecca glares at Jamie and he shrinks back in his seat.
"Sorry Ms. Welton." He mumbles.
"It was recently brought to my attention that one of the managers here has not been given the same amount of respect as the others. Something that I witnessed myself in the locker room yesterday." She says, staring daggers at Colin, who also shrinks into his seat. "Every manager on this team, assistant or otherwise, deserves your respect and I will not tolerate anyone on this team disrespecting them in any way. If I find out that any one of you are making fun of, ostracizing or disrespecting any of the coaches on this team you will be benched for the first five games." The team takes a collective breath in, they're all a little intimidated by Rebecca and they don't take her threats lightly. "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes Ms. Welton." They say in unison.
"Wonderful, now unless anyone has any questions or concerns, you all are dismissed."
Ted turns to you and the other coaches, a confused look on his face.
"What the heck was all of that about?"
The coaches shrug their shoulders and you stay silent. The guys on the team have never said anything in front of the other coaches so you're not surprised that they didn't know they weren't treating you all that nicely.
Everyone leaves the conference room and you head to your office. The day goes by pretty quickly and the threats Rebecca made seem to have stuck because the boys are giving you less attitude than they normally do. When the day is finally over you make your way up to Rebecca's office to thank her for putting her foot down.
You knock on the door and hear her on the other side.
"Come in!" When she see's you after you open the door, her face lights up again. "Oh! Y/n! What a wonderful surprise." She says with a smile, closing her laptop. "Please, sit." She gestures to the chair in front of her desk.
You take a seat and drink her in for a quick moment. Her hair is pulled back elegantly so you can see every beautiful feature of her face. Her green button down shirt, that's showing off her perfect breasts just enough to tease you, makes her eyes pop. If you could, you would sit here all night and just look at her.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" She asks with a smile.
"I just wanted to thank you, for earlier today."
"Oh you don't have to thank me! It's absolutely unacceptable to disrespect the people that rank higher than you. I wish you had told me sooner, I'm so sorry you've been dealing with that for so long." Her green eyes look sad, not like the pitied you, but sad that you've been treated like shit from your players.
"Yeah, I just tend to take things as they are. I don't like making waves."
"Well if anything like this ever happens again, I hope you do."
"Thank you, I will."
"I was surprised that Ted and the other coaches didn't even know. They can usually pick up on those things quickly."
"Yeah, the guys were pretty discrete when it came to them insulting me or something."
"Did you tell anyone? Like a boyfriend or-"
"Oh no, I don't have a boyfriend."
"Oh?"
"I'm not really, into guys so much." You say as you feel your cheeks starting to get warm.
"Oh." Rebecca says, almost surprised.
"I'm guessing you weren't expecting that." You say with a laugh.
"Uh, no, honestly, I was not." She also says with a laugh.
"I mean, come on, I'm a football coach for a men's team, it's kinda obvious."
"Well when you put it like that!" The two of you laugh for a minute.
Her laugh is amazing, it fills your chest with so much joy. If you could have it played on repeat for hours, you would.
"Anyway, thank you again for doing that, it means a lot."
"Of course, I can't let my staff, no less my favorite employee, be harassed by the team."
"Aw, thanks." You say, smiling at her. "I'll let you go-"
"I was just about to leave, walk with me to the carpark?"
"Of course."
The two of you walk out of the building and into the carpark in a comfortable silence. The sky is dark and there's only a few cars left, including her driver and your car. Rebecca turns towards you and you mirror her action. She tucks a strand of hair behind your ear and gently cups your face. Without realizing it, you unconsciously lean into her hand, when you realize what you just did your eyes widen. Rebecca only smirks and her thumb caresses your cheek.
"If I wasn't your boss," She says softly, as if she's talking to herself while she's admiring you.
Her hand leaves your face and you grab hold of it with yours.
"Even if you are, I wouldn't mind." You say, just as softly, with a smile.
Rebecca looks at you with a bit of surprise in her eyes, she was never expecting you to say that. She's had the feeling that you had a crush on her for awhile now, long before you realized you did. And she's secretly been admiring you from afar.
The thought of dating an employee sounds so incredibly unprofessional to Rebecca. But at the same time, you're not just any employee.
"I must say, I'm torn on the matter." She says with a small smile.
"Well, give me a chance to ease your worries." You say with a confidence you haven't had in awhile.
Rebecca picks up on your sudden burst of confidence and a smile crosses her face.
"Alright then, Friday night, 7pm, I'll pick you up?"
"Perfect."
"It's a date."

Love your fics!!
What are your fave parts, spicy and/or non spicy, throughout the You’re Mine & Ours (and extras) fics?
Like what are you happiest with? And what was the most enjoyable to write?
Wowwww. These questionsss... I need other people to answer these too! Im dying to know but hmm... This will be long
Favorite Parts
Spicy: I think Chapter 2 leading into Chapter 3 in 'You're Mine' when they first begin to hook up... Is the one that outwardly sticks out to me because I was just so excited for it all to kick off.
You pulled one of his hands from you guiding it with your own up your body. From your ass, around your hip, up your stomach, racking your ribs, under and over top of the side of your boob, over your collarbone. Your hands moving painfully slow for Trent. He just wanted to ravage you. He wanted to protect you, love you but destroy you at the same time. He needed to know what you were like in bed. Now.
Chapter 29 in 'You're Mine' - Just anytime they would tease the other was 😮💨 Them laying in the cinema.
“Wouldn’t it be nice if I could just keep your cock warm inside me right now?” You whispered out of the blue into Trent’s ear. His eyes widened. His breath hitched. Your teeth nibbling and pulling on his earlobe. “Oh my goddd” he groaned but equally as quiet back to you feeling his cock start to harden. It resulted in him making another mistake in the video game.
Like any of the flirty bits like Chapter 29 in 'Ours' them laying in the cinema again. That room in general was spicy lol
“Is it? Because I think it turns you on.” You giggled with a cheeky smile giving him a bit of a tease. “I think it turns you on!” He yelped defending himself, turning your accusation back on you with an equally if not more cheeky smile. “Depends on the context, you just turn me on.” You repeated his initial commentary. He hummed in agreement, pecking your lips.
Non spicy: I think a lot of the more wholesome bits. maybe just the babies tbh
Chapter 15 in 'Ours' When teddy says 'dada' and they're playing footie.
“Good girl, Ted.” You encouraged her as you took your seat down onto the turf. You assumed after that reaction you’d be here for a while. You watched on with a smile. Teddy would turn around every so often to make sure you were still watching them after she heard your first compliment. If you happened to be on your phone the second she did, she would let you know. ‘Mama!’ yelled immediately grabbing your attention. They must’ve done that on repeat for an hour. Neither one was tired of it. Trent was stood on his knees next to her but leaned over and whispered in her ear. You watched him stand up and turn towards you. “Should we go get mummy?” He asked Teddy and started to jog towards you Teddy eagerly trying to keep up with him. You smiled and got up from the turf. You ran towards Teddy and scooped her up off the grass. She squealed.
Part 1 of 'The Epilogue' had to be Theo liking sheep for me. It was so beyond random but such a nice look at their family.
“Dada, know sheep are softs.” Theo tried to qualify what merited the new obsession. “Erm… yeah I guess, mate. Any other info for me or just that they’re soft.” Trent tried to stifle his laugh. He wasn’t expecting Theo to dole out any real reasoning but ‘soft’ wasn’t really high on his list either. He was also trying to work out if Theo had even seen a sheep in person. “Cool toos.” Theo tacked on. “Okay, soft and cool, that's valid enough. C’mere my little sheep.” Trent cooed, squeezing Theo a little tighter as he wriggled in his dad’s arms, still going on about the animal with unabated enthusiasm
I'll be so real any little scene with Teddy
In the pool - Chapter 21
“Mama! Like wawa!!!” She squealed. You giggled and pressed kisses to her cheek sporadically, keeping her close to you not letting her leave her seat safe on the step.
Racing in the house - Chapter 26
“Erm…” Teddy hummed thinking for a moment what to do. She wanted to win too but his arm clearly stretched past hers and you all could see that. “Tie dada, tay? We tie, tay?” She smiled at him before scootching herself up a little more on the carpet on her belly with a wiggle for their fingers to come be relatively aligned. Your heart warmed.
Afraid of thunderstorms - Chapter 23
“Ted...” he tried not to laugh. “Look, baby.” He pointed to the splashing puddles on the patio stone outside the glass door “It’s just wawa. You’re okay.” He cooed. They sat there for a while embraced. Teddy squeezing him a little tighter every time she heard the thunder but bravely watched the puddles regardless.
The chapter I am happiest with probably has to be Chapter 1 of ‘You’re Mine.’ I don't think it is the best as far as composition but it just set the tone for obviously a massive piece of work. I thought it was enticing, exciting, realistically farfetched. The whole thing made me smile.
Most enjoyable to write: These are probably two very contrasting chapters but they were by far my favorites to write
Chapter 12 in 'Ours' was probably one of my favorite chapters start to finish.
Chapter 19 in 'Ours' was... and I know this is backwards but I love the turmoil.
You didn't ask this but just general recurrences I always liked... Marcel and Teddy's relationship, Trent being soft, Anytime Y/N opened up, Trent dropping his bags by the door. idkkk....
Anything readers liked that I missed?
TY again for this question

And, after another torturous seven days have passed, we are graced with another stellar episode of my new favourite show! Huzzah! And that means it's time for more notes that no one asked for from yours truly:
- *Bill and Ted voice*: 69, dudes!
- Ooh, Doctor, your jealousy is showing! (And Yak totally clocked it too. You can see he's thinking about milking it—when he mentioned Yei—but he doesn't let it hang over them for long)
- now I'm curious about his mum/parents...
- Okay, if anyone sniffed me, I'd find it odd because it's not my culture but I think the Thai sniff kisses are sooooo cute :3
- (Seriously, though, I'm still not over Yak giving Dee the necklace like they're steadies in the 1950s, ahhhhhhh, will I ever be over it?)
- Cher, Yei and Kao all clocking the necklace XD
- 'Fuck buddy' lmao I was not expecting that! And it sounds so much cuter in a Thai accent
- Kao howling like a dog lol
- Kao knows what's up! (With the, so you're hanging out, only sleeping with him, etc.)
- I MISS YOU!!!!! And sending each other flirty texts!!!! sdfjsldkjfldskjfdlk
- How many boxers does it take to change a light bulb?
- Dee is so cute in that scene, btw, all feigned incompetence lmao
- ngl, I want to try black sesame soy milk
- Awww! Coming in with the clown nose to cheer the little boy up! But oh no :( (I wonder if that's why Yak and Dee dress in the tiger and bunny suits from the preview???)
- 'It feels nice to have someone ask if you're tired when you're tired' Oh!!!
- Just... That whole phone call! Their little faces!! They're soooo fond of each other
- Boy, those nurses are gossipy! But I think that's pretty accurate from what I know about hospitals IRL
- It's going by too fast D:
- Dee's stripy shirt is so cute! He looks like a little boy in the 1970s haha
- Dee has so many tchotkes! And, ooh, my mum has that same IKEA lantern lol
- 'It's not fun for me anymore!' :((((((
- I love that he says it's over between them but doesn't ask for the necklace back!!
- Look at that pouty baby!
- There's the briefest expression on Dee's face as he walks away that made me want to scream, Inn is SUCH a good actor
- Guess we're getting some hints at what happened to Dee's parents. Was it the siren that made him flashback?
- HOLDING HANDS!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!
- Seriously, though, Yak is concerned (maybe rightly so?) about being romantically involved publicly with a guy, but he takes Dee's hand when he sees something's off at the crossing???? He's so caring I can't take it D:
- Damn it, I want noodles
- Ugh, Yak feeding Dee!! I can't take thiiiiiis
- HANDS AGAIN! Argh. I'm such a sucker for a hand holding/touching moment. This episode really fed me, thank you <3
- Okay, but I could write an essay on Yak's facial expressions in that bridge scene!! Like... Holy hell
- COOKING TOGETHER! So domestic ;__;
- ...or not lol well, it's still domestic, even if the end result isn't edible right?
- Dee teasing Yak is so cute arghhhhh
- Why does he have spray paint???? Why is that a thing he just has on the table???
- Oh! They're so soft!!
- Nooooooo! Don't finish yet! How am I meant to survive the next seven days after seeing that preview?! Life is so cruel :(

We're Live
Ted Lasso x F!Reader
Requested by: @cevans-is-classic "Any possibility you could summon up something with Reader being a reporter and Ted finds their questions endearing and they slowly start to develop a relationship?? Maybe something with Rebecca being like "You can't flirt on live TV, Ted." "
Description: You're a reporter for the London Times, and when your coworker transfers to a different department, you get the chance to report on the AFC Richmond games, and finally do your feature on Coach Lasso.
Word Count : 3,903 (im SORRY OKAY)
content warning: mentions of family death and drunk drivers, mentions of divorce, not angsty just exposition
(i would die for this man) ((not my gif))
The room was stirring, the AFC Richmond game ending mere minutes ago. The team had won, but just by the skin of their teeth. You hear the other reporters beside you muttering over their questions at rapid speed for when the door finally opens and the gaffer walks in. You look down at your notebook in one hand, and phone in the other, poised and ready to begin recording once you’re called upon. It wasn’t your first sports interview, especially football, but it was the first with AFC Richmond. It was hot commodity to get in on a Richmond interview, and when your colleague and dear friend switched departments, she had specifically asked for you to be given the job. So, here you sat, surrounded by so much pent up energy, it was pulsing in the air.
You glanced at your watch, and over to the door repeatedly, excited to start your first Richmond article, especially after such a win. You flicker your eyes up to the door, and stop your gaze there. You could see the handle turning, and at that, you were the first to stand when the door swung open.
The room erupted in a roar of questions, everyone fumbling over each others words, desperate to get the first say. Your own voice rang out, calling for the coaches attention. He sat at the table in front of them, sipping on his water before smiling kindly at the group. He cleared his throat before raising his own hand. We all faded off in our questions, confused.
“Now, now y’all. Everyone will get their turn. Let’s all sit and chat, yeah?” I looked around at my peers, and they all seemed confused as they nodded and sat down. I followed suit, and the last person to sit was in front of me. Mr. Trent Crimm, the man himself. Ted began to call out the reporters by name as hands shot up at the opportunity to speak. Trent Crimm stands and begins to ask his queries, a smile in his voice. He had grown fond of the Kansas Man, seeing that his kindness was not just fabrication, but genuine love for the people around him and for what he does. He nods in thanks as he sits.
Your hand goes up next, confident and hopeful. Ted’s eyebrows raised as he realized the empty seat behind Trent, he motioned for you to speak, and you stood with a smile on your face.
“I don’t think we’ve met. What’s your name, miss?” He smiles back at you.
“Y/N L/N , The Times. You’re a man of kindness, Coach Lasso, you had brought Jamie Tartt back onto the team, you had given these men the encouragement they needed, how do you believe this assisted you in the match today?” Phone held out slightly to assist in retaining his response. He smiles at this question.
“I thank you, Y/N, but I don’t believe it’s all on me. The boys on the team are to owe for the win today, they fought hard out there, and worked together, and I’m grateful for that.” You nod at this, and smile in thanks.
The rest of the interview questions went on without a hitch, your hand shooting up every time you had a question that was relevant, and he always answered you with a smile. As they finished, you were slow moving to pack up your belongings, hoping to catch a moment with the PR manager of the club. She walks in, hair swinging behind her as she clears away the paperwork on the front table, and the last of the reporters trickle into the hall. You grab your card from the pocket of your shoulder bag, and move toward her.
“Miss Jones?” She turns to you with a smile. “Hello, my name is Y/N L/N, I’m taking over for Chelsea Smith on the AFC Richmond coverage. I would love to do a feature on Coach Lasso, and dive deep on how he plans to advance back into the premier league. Here’s my card,” You hand her the card, and bring your bag higher on your shoulder. She looks at it, flipping it over to see your contact information. “Give me a call, if he’s interested.” You point at the second number on the card, your personal phone number. You smile as you turn to the door, and stop. You look back at her.
“And Miss Jones?” She looks up at you, “Thank you, you’re an inspiration. My niece… She looks up to you, and y’know what? So do I.” And with that you leave.
Keeley’s eyes mist as you leave, a smile blooming on her lips. She looks down at your card, and lets out a watery laugh. Careful of her makeup, she wipes under her eyes and makes her way to the coaches’ office. With a light knock, she walks in and greets the men.
“Keeley! What do we owe this pleasure?” Ted leans back in his chair, devoting his entire attention to the woman. She hands him the card.
“That new reporter? Y/N L/N wants to do a feature on you in the Times, and I want you to do it.”
“Oh, well, okay, any specific reason?” He looks up from the card to her.
Keeley walks over to Roy, who wraps an arm around her as hers wrap around his middle. She jumps into the short story, tearing up, stating how much it meant to her, and how much it would mean to her for Ted to do the interview. Roy tightens his arm around her slightly, kissing the crown of her head.
“Well, then I’ll do it. Of course.” Ted smiles at her.
“Great, call the second number on the card when you get a chance and you two can work out a meeting.” She walks to him, and pats his shoulder and thanks before going to her office.
---
You make your way through the streets of London later that day, your niece, Amelia, rattling on about her classes in between sips of her boba. Your parents had you later in life, and your sister had her when you were 12. She catches you up on all of the gossip around her secondary school, and you assist her where you can in advice. You pause in front of a shop as she looks at the window display, and as you sip your own drink, your phone begins to trill. Quickly swallowing, you fumble with the phone. The number is unfamiliar but you answer anyway.
“Hello?”
“Is this Y/N L/N?” A cautious voice rings through the receiver.
“This is she.”
“Hey, Miss L/N, It’s Ted Lasso over at Richmond.” Your eyes widen as you grab your niece’s attention and point to the phone.
“Coach Lasso,” Amelia’s eyes widening at the mention of her favorite football clubs coach. “How can I help you?” You step off to the side, practically vibrating in your spot. Keeley Jones actually gave her card to him, he’s actually on the phone with you. Oh my GOD.
“Keeley let me know about the feature you were wantin’ to write, and I just think it’s a fun idea. I’d love to meet for an interview.” You look to Amelia, and nod your head. She begins to go mental, silently jumping as she grabs your arm.
“Of course! Would you be able to meet, say Tuesday? I could meet you at the club, or lunch. My treat of course.”
“Let’s meet at the club, I’ll give you the nitty gritty of coaching, and we can go deeper into the grand scheme of it all over lunch then. Seem good?”
“Perfect! I’ll see you Tuesday morning then.”
“See you then, Miss L/N.” The phone beeps as he hangs up and you finally look at Amelia.
“We’re meeting on Tuesday. I’M GETTING THE FEATURE!” You both let out a squeal of delight that draws the attention of many passerbys, but all you can do is celebrate. This feature could mean big things for you. You could finally get the promotion you’ve been hoping for, even secure a permanent spot as a member of AFC Richmond’s press.
“Tell me EVERYTHING!” the young teen pulls you close, looping her arm in yours as you travel down the street, recounting the call. You can’t help but smile. This could be it.
---
Tuesday rolls around quicker than expected, but you’re prepared. You had spent the rest of the weekend working on your interview questions, spanning all from his time in Kansas, to his future plans for Richmond. You picked out an outfit, and then changed it, and then changed it again. You looked at yourself in the mirror, straightening your sweater, and the collar underneath, a light gloss added to your lips as you smoothed down your trousers.
“You can do this. This is it.” You say into the mirror, and you smile. Throwing your bag over your shoulder, the leather of the messenger bag worn and well loved. It was passed down to you, a gift from your father when you had started at the times. It was lucky, he said. You felt it held some truth now. Grabbing your wool overcoat, and slipping on your oxfords, you were out of the door. It wasn’t a long walk to the club, and thankfully the sun quelled the chill in the air enough, so you started on your way.
You walked into the club, making your way to the front desk.
“Hello! My name is-“
“Miss L/N!” The drawl of the Coach breaks through the silent halls of Richmond. You look over, and see him, hands in his pockets, sleeves rolled. You smile at him, and silently thank the receptionist. You make your way over to him, reaching out to shake his hand.
“Coach Lasso, it’s great to see you again. Thank you so much for meeting with me. And please, call me Y/N.” You shake his hand with a smile that he returns.
“It’s no problem at all! Thank you for wanting to write about me. And, you can call me Ted” He lets out a chuckle at this, hand slipping back into his pocket. He motions for you to join him as he begins to walk through the halls. You pull your notebook out as you move, poised to write anything you can use.
The day goes on, he shows you the offices, and locker rooms. He even introduces you to the team, all of them smiling at you kindly as you wave and congratulate them on their latest win. Sam Obisanya even recognizes you by name, having read one of your commentary pieces in the Times on the importance of ethical sourcing and need for environmental consciousness that you had written a year prior.
You’re shocked to say the least, hand placed over your heart to express your true gratitude. The day goes on, you sit in the stands as training goes on, taking notes on most of the things happening. You can help but watch Coach Lasso- Ted, as he leads the team. He does it in such a way that you’ve never seen before.
Having grown up in a football family, you’ve seen your fair share of matches in your time. The coaches often lead with an iron fist, taking no care in the mental health of their team members. They coached from the sidelines, yelling expletives, berating their team at the slightest fault on the pitch. But, not Ted. He joked with his team, encouraged them in ways that go deeper than just on the pitch. You admired that.
As the team left for the showers, you made your way down to the pitch. The other Coaches nodded at you in farewell as they themselves followed the team. You reciprocated, and walked up to Ted.
“Alrighty then. You ready for that lunch?” You smiled at him and nodded.
---
You take him to a small, family-owned café that your family had frequented before you started your job with the Times. You smiled at Jeanie, the little old woman behind the counter, and wave at her.
“Y/N? Is that you dear?” She hobbles around the counter, making her way to you.
“Hi Nana Jeanie.” You smile at her, meeting her halfway. She cups your face and gives you a once over.
“You have grown so much! So beautiful, dearie. I’ve been reading your work in the Times! Look!” She motions behind the counter to the cork board littered with posters and daily specials. Posted at the very top though, were cuttings of your latest works. You could cry if you weren’t working. “I save them all, y’know.”
“You will always be my number one fan, Nana.” She kisses you on the cheek before she notices Ted.
“Oi! Is that the Richmond gaffer?” She whispers, and you nod. “Hello, dearie! Please feel free to take a seat, you still drink your hot chocolate?” After you nod once again, she asks Ted for his drink order.
“Oh! Um, can I just get a water please?” and with that, she’s off. You shake your head with a grin, and turn to Ted, motioning him to follow you to your once regular booth.
“So, is that your grandma?” Ted asks when you’re settled, menu’s pulled from behind the napkin dispenser.
“No, no,” You laugh. “Nana Jeanie has been around my family since I was a little girl. We came here two, sometimes three times a week. It was a tradition. I haven’t been in about two years, not since I first got my job at the Times. It’s a part of me, y’know?” He smiles at this, and before he can comment, Jeanie comes back with your drinks.
“Extra marshmallows, and whipped cream for my dear, and a water for the gaffer. You two ready to order?” You look at Ted and he motions for you to go first. You order your usual soup, and sandwich, and Ted just asks for the same. Jeanie leaves as quickly as she came, and shouts the orders to her husband in the back, saying that it’s “For our girl, Arthur!” And you hear a faint cheer come from the back. You and Ted laugh at this, and slide back into the conversation.
You’re posed to write, and look up at him. “So, you came here from Kansas, correct?” He nods. “So, how was that?”
“It… It was hard. I left my son behind back in Kansas to come here, and I miss him every day. Facetime just isn’t the same as sitting with him at the kitchen table for breakfast, y’know?”
Throughout the rest of lunch, you ask him about his life, going deeper than just the club, asking him everything about his life from before Richmond, asking about his son, asking about his hopes for the future. At one point, you sit the pen down, and just listen to him. Ted enjoys it, being able to talk to someone new, someone who hasn’t been there since the start, someone free of biases. He can’t stop himself, feeling so comfortable with you that he off the record talks about his ex wife. You nod with a kind smile, feeling for the man as he talks about the difficulty of life. He asks you about your own life, before the Times.
You sigh and lean back. You talk about your family life, having grown up in what felt like a picture perfect family, but no one really knew what went on behind closed doors. You were technically the youngest of three, but your sister Naomi died due to a drunk driver when you were 8. It broke your family apart, your parents divorced after the tragedy, but still tried their hardest to support you and your older sister. It brought the two of you closer, despite the age gap. Not a day goes by that you don’t miss Naomi, and your sister even became a trauma surgeon in her memory. Ted gives you a soft smile, and a light pat on your hand. Conversation is easier after that. This goes throughout lunch, only pausing to eat. As the cheque comes around, he stops you before you could pull your card out, handing the appropriate notes to Jeanie, with a generous tip on top. You go to protest, but he stops you.
“You can get it next time we run into each other.” And he smiles, and you do to, but it feels different this time. These smiles are no longer just polite and mannerly, you feel a type of closeness to him now, both having shared your own vulnerabilities with each other. You both stand, and you put your coat on as Jeanie comes up.
“Now, don’t you be a stranger, dearie.” You thank her, and promise to come back with a hug. You and Ted go to leave, as your phone rings. It’s your sister. You motion to the phone, and Ted smiles, stepping away.
“Hey, Lydia, What’s up?”
“Y/N! I need you to pick up Amelia from classes for me, I just got called into a surgery and I won’t be out until late.” You can hear the running water from over the phone as she scrubs in. You let out a breath, and run your hand over your forehead.
“Yeah, of course. I got it.” You can hear beeping speed up from over the phone, and they’re yelling for her. She thanks you, and you hear her yell out for them to push medication before you hang up. Ted walks back over as you sigh.
“It was my sister. She can’t pick my niece up, she has a surgery. I have to go, I’m so sorry.” You tuck your phone into your pocket, and he waves you off.
“It’s no problem. I’ve enjoyed our talk today.” He smiles.
“So have I. I may reach out for a couple quotes in the next few days, but the feature should be out for the Sunday edition. Thank you again, Ted. For this opportunity.” You reach out a hand, and he shakes it. The touch lingers a few moments longer than usual, warmth of his palm spreading through you. You turn to leave, and feel a smile bloom across your face as he calls out to you. You turn around and he’s scratching at the back of his neck.
“Will you, uh,” he coughs. “Will you be at the press meeting after the next match?”
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.” You smile at him.
“Great.”
---
Ted walks into Rebecca’s office later that day, still thinking about you. He looks up and is greeted by Rebecca, Keeley, and Higgins.
“Ted! How was it?” Keeley sits up from her spot on the couch.
“How was what?” asks Higgins, leaning against Rebecca’s desk.
“He did an interview with the Times today. They want to do a feature on him, a reporter had reached out and we connected it. She was here today actually.” Rebecca nods at this, sipping her tea, and Ted sits down at the corner of the sectional.
“It went well. She’s a very kind woman, Y/N asked a lot about my life before the club. She said that it was necessary for a good feature, but she was genuinely interested in hearing from me.”
“Y/N, huh? I’ve seen her work. She’s brilliant.”
“She really is…”
---
As the week goes by, you write your feature. It’s finally finished after many late nights of revision and re-revising your work, and you let out a sigh of relief as you post it to the website. It’ll be in tomorrow’s print, and you can feel a smile on your lips as you bring your wine glass to them. You quickly text the link to Ted, still grinning as you look at your texts from the previous days. He’s been checking in, seeing how you were doing, checking on how the article was going, even sending you funny gifs and emoji’s that seem to always brighten your day. Under the link, you send him the nerd emoji, and within seconds you see the three dots blinking as he types.
Woohoo! Can’t wait to read it!
Three dots appear again.
Will you be there tomorrow?
You smile at this.
Of course! Good luck tomorrow (:
His response is a smile, and a soccer ball emoji, but it’s enough to make your heart race. You get to see him tomorrow.
---
You watch as the match goes on, leading to yet another win for Richmond. The press room is buzzing yet again, the dedication to the team seeping through the professional exteriors of your peers as they all await Ted’s arrival. The gaffer enters soon after with Rebecca Welton herself, and Keeley Jones, energetic from the win as they all were. Everyone begins to call out to him, eager to be first as he sits. He looks out across the crowd until his eyes meet yours. His smile widens at the sight, and you wave to him gently. He nods at you, and looks down. Unbeknownst to the two of you, Rebecca and Keeley share a look of knowing.
The press junction goes on, Ted calling on each member of the press until he sees your hand.
“Y/N! What do you got for me?” He smiles.
“So, Coach Lasso, what’re your plans going forward?” You stand, notebook in hand.
“Well, I think I’m planning on going out to dinner tonight, celebratory, y’know? I was introduced to this little café not too far away, so I’m hoping to… see some friendly faces there.” He smiles at you, and you could’ve sworn that you saw his cheeks dust with pink. “As for the team? They deserve a break after all of the hard work they’ve put in these last few weeks. But, we’re going to make like Mayfield and keep on keepin’ on.” You smile at him, feeling your heart beat in your throat as you sit down. Ted glances over to Rebecca and Keeley who look at him with wide eyes. Rebecca uses the folder in her hand to hide her face from the press as she mouths to him.
“You can’t flirt on live TV, Ted!”
---
You walk through the doors of the café, smiling at Jeanie who’s wiping down a coffee cup at the counter. She smiles at you knowingly, and nods to the table you sat at just a few days prior. There sat Ted, who had looked up when the bell above the door chimed. He stood as you walked over.
“Hi, Ted. Fancy seeing you here.” You hope that the blush on your cheeks is taken as coming from the chilly early evening air.
“Hi, Y/N. I’m glad that friendly face ended up showing up.” He pulls out your chair, as you pull your coat off, and sit down.
“So, is this one on me?” You joke with him, pulling out the menu. He laughs as he sits down, and sips his water.
“Wouldn’t be much of a gentleman if I let you pay on a date, now would I?”
“So, this is a date?” You smile at him, trying to conceal the pounding in your chest.
“Only if you want it to be.”
“It’s a date, then.”

Tuesdays with you
paring: Jack Russell x fem! reader
genre: fluff
a/n:
reader is a mutant, her powers are telekinesis and energy manipulation ; reader is protective of Jack and she is morally grey.
warnings: swearing, canon violence, tiny bit of gore at the end
---------
A group of hunters stalked Jack after a full moon, unknown to you.
When you returned to your home, Jack was missing. You assumed he must have passed out before he reached your house.
It was your 'other home' when Jack visited you. You told him to stay there and use it as he wishes as it was located very close to the woods, with the backyard actually extending into the intimidating, thick forest. Sometimes you had little backyard parties with Jack and Ted.
"It's an option, but i wouldn't do that if I were you" Jack's voice was calm as the hunters pointed their guns at him. There were three of them.
"Get the fuck away from him" your voice made the forest suddenly still. Your eyes glowed eery purple.
"God, I love when you do that. You are so sexy when you get angry. Scary, but hot, definitely hot."
You turned your head slightly towards Jack and smiled at his words—the familiar soft gaze flicked in your eyes, just for a second, but long enough for Jack to notice it. The smug, calm smile still lightened up his face. Of course Jack wouldn't miss an opportunity to add flirty comments at you at a time like this. You loved that about him. He kept you grounded and made your heart feel safe, and you did the same with him. He was your everything.
And these people threatened your everything. When you shifted your attention back to those three hunters, a smile was the last thing on your face. The previous happy glint in your eyes disappeared without a trace, your eyes darkened with something dark, and chilling.
These people would never learn.
The hunters did not lower their guns away from Jack.
Now, you were no saint, but you were not the devil either. You helped others—humans, 'monsters', any living beings in general. But you also didn't hesitate to destroy anything that threatened the ones you cared about. You would do anything to protect the ones you loved. How dare they mess with Jack? Your protective instincts kicked in, paired with rage.
"I said," you ripped the guns and swords off their hands with your mind, "Get the fuck away from him" you stressed each word, bending the guns and swords with your powers.
Jack was absolutely calm, as if he was getting a foot massage. He gave them a 'I warned you' expression.
"She is a monster."
"I've heard rumors about a witch…"
You watch as the expression on their eyes shift from shock to pure disgust. This wasn't something new to you. Those words and the reaction was something you were familiar with.
"You say it like it's a bad thing" you grinned. Honestly, you didn't give a fuck of what they thought about you.
Too close, they are way too close to your home. You can't just let them go.
Sharp sounds of sticks breaking on ground and branches moving reached your ears. A deep growl made birds fly off their nests for the time being.
"Hey, Ted."
"Good to see you, man." Jack greeted his friend.
Ted growled again in response. You didn't understand Ted fully yet, but you could tell what he was thinking without Jack translating for you.
"Agreed. Let's have some fun, my friend" you said with a calm smile on your face.
Blood splattered, screams ripped from the hunters' throats as you and Ted 'had fun'.
.
.
"You okay, bebé?" Jack touched your arm. You would sense concern in his voice. Your sweet darling, always making sure you are alright.
"Never felt better."
There it was, a sweet smile and eyes full of love for him. Jack didn't mind the blood splattered on your face one bit. "Mamacita", he kissed your lips, pulled back after a few seconds. You linked your arm with his, walking towards your home with Ted trailing behind you. You never dreamed of falling in love. That was until you met Jack. You felt incredibly lucky to have him. He felt the same.
You two didn't have to say it out loud now, that was the beautiful thing, you both knew it without uttering a single word. The silence was comfortable.
"I'm thinking of fried chicken" Jack interlaced his fingers with yours and caressed your knuckle softly with his thumb.
A groan from Ted.
"You always want sushi!"
"Why don't we get both?" you suggested.
"Yeah, yeah, let's do that."
Ted made a noise of content.
"You spoil him too much, Y/n/n"
"I'm not!" you defended yourself, chuckling.
Smiling, Jack leaned in to steal a kiss between your laughs. Just a regular Tuesday morning for you and Jack.

“Good Morning Honey”
Pairing: WifefuckerMilkman!Ted x Reader
Summary: You guys were friends as kids, but then you had to move away and y'all grew apart. Fast forward 20 years, you move back to your hometown with your now husband who your unhappy with, and Ted is now milkman. And one day while your husband's at work, he is delivering some milk, and you end up catching up. You somehow letting it slip that you were unhappy in your marriage, and it leads to something that you’re quite happy with.
Warning: Cheating, Smut, Size Kink, Breeding Kink, Dom!Ted x Sub!Reader (Soft Dom Ted?), Pet names Doll, Sweetheart, and Honey, Ted Being Called Teddy and Theodore (angst if you squint?)
Minors DNI
You and Ted were thick as thieves, you would give each other nicknames, you calling him Theodore knowing he would only take it from you. You guys had met in preschool and were the bestest of friends, but you’re guys’ friendship soon came crashing down when your parents told you you guys were moving before 2nd grade.
Now here you were moving back to your hometown now newly and unhappily married. You felt like your husband was going to be your dream guy, but the honeymoon phase was far gone, and you guys had newly moved to try and get a new start after a pretty bad fight.
Here you are at home alone, while your husband was at work. Ted had noticed someone new had moved into town, so when he was delivering his milk for the day, he figured this new move-in was his last delivery of the day. So he decided while he was finishing his day, he would knock on the door and introduce himself.
You hear a knock that feels familiar, but you go up and check the door. When you sling open the door, you see a tall, handsome man with a face that you felt that you had seen before. When the man opens his mouth, noting your lingering eyes, his voice itched something in the back of your head as he says, “Hello, my names Ted, I’m your milkman. I just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood.” As he says his name, you realize it was your best friend Ted, your childhood crush Ted that you had to leave as kids.
You manage out a “Ted, is that you Ted, it’s y/n?”
Ted realizes who you are almost immediately pulling you into a tight, long hug. You pull him inside, and god did that childhood crush come back and he grew into an even more handsome man. You guys spend hours catching up, while you’re waiting for you husband to come home.
While you guys are talking you somehow let it slip that you were unhappily married. Ted had told you he was still fortunately single, so you were saying that you were married but that fact you were unhappy slipped by. ‘I mean it’s better than what could have slipped passed’ you thought.
∾ ▩ °º❤️º° ▩ ∾
You guys had been talking for the past few days, but since you had let it slip that you were unhappy in your marriage to your husband, things have gotten flirty. it started out being just small glances that lingered a little too long, hands brushing together, things like that. But recently Ted has started hugging you from behind while you made a snack or setting you on his lap as you guys watched something together.
One day when you guys were hanging out with him since you husband was on a work trip for a couple days, you decided to pull out some wine. A few cups in you’re both a little tipsy and you slur out “I-i love you” to Ted. And he responded with “I love you too y/n” With that you slur out “No I mean I’m in love with you, love you Teddy” Ted freezes not knowing how to respond. The air changes, he knew he liked you but since you were married even if it was unhappily he was pretty sure you wouldn’t like him back.
But if you did indeed like him in that way he needed to know if you were telling the truth so he asks you “Is that so doll?” You move towards Ted and put your hands on his chest and respond to him, “I do Theodore, I really do.”
With that he pulls you into a kiss, it was soft, gentle, it felt like he was treating you like porcelain. You pull him in by his shirt making the kiss hungrier, letting him know that you weren’t made of glass and not so fragile. You fumbled with his uniform trying desperately to tear it off of him, he pulls away from the kiss catching his breath, as he takes off his uniform. Once he was stripped he turns to you who was also taking off your clothes.
Once y’all were stripped he pulls you back into a kiss, cupping your jaw as he pulls you closer to him. This turns into a heated makeout, him throwing you down onto your coach. He slowly moves down leaving lovebites and sloppy kisses all over your collarbone and neck, quickly finding that sweet spot. His hand snakes down slowly starting to sleep a finger in, slowly stretching you out. Soon adding 2nd one and a 3rd one quickly being added after.
You watch as he strokes himself a few times before he slowly enters. You hiss at the stretch the pain quickly turning to pleasure as he gives you a second to adjust. Just staying still until he groans out, “Can I just fuck you now, cause- fuck Sweetheart I don’t know how much longer I’m ‘onna last with you squeezing me like this.” You just nodding frantically in response, already far gone.
He slowly starts thrusting in and out a slow, rough pace, his pace gradually picking up as he pounds you into the couch cushion. Keeping his hand on your stomach as he feels the indent there from his pace and size. You far gone at this point only knowing the mind-blowing amount of pleasure he was putting you through, not even being able to distinguish what it is that he’s saying. But you can feel that knot in you stomach tying itself, quickly snapping as you clench around Ted to give him some kind of warning.
You feel him fill you up as you come down from your high, and then him lifting you as he’s still in you. He carries you to your kitchen, bending you over the counter, saying “’m gonna’ fuck you on every surface I can so when your dumb little husband comes home I’ll know I am everywhere in here not only in you.” His words going to your heat, you subconsciously clenching at his words, making him say “Oh, you like that don’t you dirty little slut, but you’re my slut aren’t you hun?” You just repeating yes like a mantra.
And boy did he make good on that promise, he fucked you for hours pulling countless orgasms from you as he filled you up countless times. Every time saying how you’re his now, got to fill you up to prove it. Tucking you into bed gently and getting you water before snuggling in beside you.
∾ ▩ °º❤️º° ▩ ∾
The next morning you wake up and you see a cup of milk on your bedside table, as your looking for Ted. Him not being in bed, so you try to get up wobbling as you try to support yourself. Slowly gain some balance, you throw on a shirt of yours and wobble into the kitchen finding Ted in the kitchen in a sweater and sweatpants. You come up, hugging him from behind. Feeling the rumble as he speaks up “Good Morning Honey.”
He turns around moving the the bacon he was making, quickly turning off the burner. He holds you in the kitchen leaning against your counter, just standing there holding you till you pipe up, “I love you Ted,” him responding “I love you too Sweetheart.”
You guys just hold each other, until he picks you up and sets you on the counter serving breakfast. After breakfast you guys cuddle up on the coach enjoying each others company glad your husband won’t be home until tomorrow.
∾ ▩ °º❤️º° ▩ ∾
When your up in the morning Ted was still cuddled up against you, you slipping out of bed throwing on his sweater he had discarded the night before. Walking to the kitchen as you make breakfast, feeling someone come up behind you and hug you. You lay your head back into Ted’s chest as he holds you. You finish up breakfast and you guys talk about what you wanna do.
You decide you should probably divorce your husband, so you get ready and Ted goes on his way getting his house ready for when your husband comes home. When your husband comes home he tells you he has to tell you something and you say you have something to tell him too. You let him go first and he says “I want a divorce, I don’t love you anymore if I ever did.” You just stand there and respond “Me too,” you take a deep breath “I want a divorce too.” You pack your things go over to Ted’s as you and your husband go though the divorce.
∾ ▩ °º❤️º° ▩ ∾

the world in her arms
(i don’t own this gif or characters used in this fic)
pairing: natasha romanoff x fem!reader
summary: you and natasha have always had quite a flirty and sarcastic relationship. both of you develop feelings for one another but you both are clueless to what the other feels until nat gets jealous and says something hurtful to you. will you make up (or out)?
warnings: minor angst, fluff, swearing, and a mention of death.
word count: 2.1k
a/n: omg thank you so much for 57 followers love you all 💕. sorry for the lack of content i didn’t know what to write and had almost no new ideas. also i’m a youngin and worked my first 8 hr day yesterday so your girl was exhausted and i have finals coming up soon. k thank you for coming to my ted talk, enjoy!
also this song doesn’t relate to the story at all but it’s underrated imo and also sorry for the weird pov changes throughout the story.
“Hey y/l/n! Where are you headed?” Natasha yells from the kitchen while I’m standing in the living room on our shared floor.
“Wouldn’t you like to know Nat.” I say with a smirk.
“Yeah matter of fact I would.” she retorts.
“Chill, I’m just headed to train some recruits with Clint. But don’t miss me too much, I'll be back in a few hours, Natty.” You blow a kiss her way, and she just rolls her eyes partially from the kiss and the use of her nickname but you see a faint pink tint sitting atop of her cheeks before she turns away.
I’ve been training these recruits with Clint for a couple hours and my session is nearing an end. Something I’ve picked up on today is how touchy and how dumb these recruits are acting just for me to correct their form. I don’t have time for this shit I think as this girl has me correct her jab form for what has to be the fifth time this hour.
Non readers pov
Natasha actually does start to miss you because of how bored she is due to the larger training room being occupied for these recruits. She heads down to see if you are wrapping up yet and see if you’d like to grab dinner with her somewhere. She arrives at the training room and heads to the back room where there is a large one way mirror. Natasha, having nothing better to do, watches Clint and yourself interact with these seemingly clueless recruits.
Minutes pass and Natasha honestly likes seeing your frustration every time a recruit asks you a stupid question or something you’d already answered for the hundredth time this session. That is until she sees this handsy recruit keep asking you to correct your form which she sees you fake a smile at and happily correct it. As if Natasha isn’t jealous already she sees you release a genuine large laugh at something a recruit says. Not being able to withstand witnessing anymore of this behavior from you directed towards anyone else except her. Natasha then storms off into the living room.
Readers pov
I was nearing the end of this session when a recruit comes up behind me and asks, “Soooo, is it true that you and Clint are like a thing?” he asks with no trace of humor or sarcasm on his face. I just bust out laughing because one, everyone or at least almost everyone who knows about The Avengers knows that I’m 100% only interested in women and two, CLINT? I mean he is a great guy and all but I’ll never forget the time I went into a diner to have breakfast with him and the waitress assumed he was my grandfather.
twenty long minutes later...
The living room is lively and everyone seems to strike up a conversation with one another. I decide to strike up a conversation with Natasha who is weirdly acting cold all of a sudden.
“Oh my god! You know what I just remembered the other day? My mom used to-“
“Shut up, y/n/n. I don’t care and I don’t think anyone does at the moment.” she exclaims with a small smirk thinking you’ll detect her harsh-morbid sarcasm.
“Oh.” you choke out, “It’s getting pretty late I-I better head to bed” my voice cracks as I mutter a small, ‘asshole’ agony laced in my voice blinking the hot tears away. I start walking towards my room but it slowly turns into a jog, then sprint. Anything to get to my room and release my sadness.
Non readers pov
The room is frozen. Everyone is staring at Natasha.
“I care.” Wanda states heading to your room because she knows you shouldn’t be alone right now.
“Jesus Nat, that was awful. You know you’ve fucked you when even I say it’s bad. Poor girl’s mom passed when she was around 10.” Tony deadpans.
“Oh my god, what have I done?” Nat says burying her head into her hands.
“I’m not too sure how you’re gonna get out of this one Nat, but you’ve gotta fix this.” Sam says.
Wanda reaches your room and hears loud yet muffled sobs while standing in the hallway. She can feel your grief rippling through her body. The only heartache she can relate to is the moment she lost Pietro which is more than an average person should feel. She knocks on the door softly yet hard enough to alert you of her presence.
Readers pov
I hear three soft knocks on the door. I quickly silence my cries and assume it is Nat. I then clear my throat as the knocking continues and muster up enough energy to speak,
“Go away” into my pillow loudly. The knocking stops but I don’t hear anyone walk away just yet.
“Y/n/n, it’s Wanda. Can you let me in please, so we can talk?” she asks, I stand up while groaning and walk towards the door. I unlock it and open it just a crack to make sure she is alone and not with a certain someone. It is pretty short-lived as Wanda pushes the door open the rest of the way.
“Oh hon, I’m sorry.” She says as she wraps me into a tight hug after closing the door behind her. I crumble into her embrace as she rubs small circles on my back. Wanda has always been such a calming figure in my life since I met her, a major part being that she can feel almost all of my anxieties that try to drown me throughout a day. She also knows how it feels to be alone which allows her to relate to my feelings, so she knows just how much missing someone who is gone for eternity hurts.
We hug for what feels like minutes but when I take a quick glance outside my window it is dark out.
“Is it true?” I rasp.
“What?” she counters.
“Y’know that no one cares. All I wanted to do was share a memory that I remembered of myself with my mom and as you know it isn’t too often that I remember these types of things and when I do I love sharing them, so she won’t ever be forgotten. It just hurts so much to be shut down talking about something you truly care about by someone you care about.” I explain while Wanda looks at me with the softest eyes I’ve ever seen while nodding her head slightly.
“Now that is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I care and everyone in this compound cares about what you have to say as well as what you are feeling. You know how Natasha can be sometimes with the insensitive comments she makes before realizing what she’s doing.”
“I know but that doesn’t give her the right to j-just say stuff like that. I get how full our relationship is with banter and sarcastic comments but I really thought she was starting to like me.” I frown as Wanda just nods. That’s when exhaustion hits me like a truck.
“Wands, before I ask you this just know you can decline.” I give her a minute to protest, but she says nothing. ” Can you sleep with me?” Wanda’s eyes widen,
”Y/n/n I don’t think that is a good id-“ I realize what I just said and cut her off before things get even more uncomfortable. “Nonono, Wanda, like lay down with me not any of that gross stuff. Ew.” Wanda’s features fill with relief, and she chuckles at my childish comment about sex.
“Of course I will! You just may want to word it a little different next time.” she chuckles as you hide your face with embarrassment. We both get settled on the bed and I feel her two arms pull me towards her and I snuggle closer.
Non readers pov
Wanda slowly gets out of bed after she is sure you are fast asleep and sets off to find Nat. When she does she sees that Nat had barely moved from where she last saw her still with her face in her hands.
“Nat. I know you think you really screwed up, which you did, but it’s y/n/n. You can’t go on without telling her how you feel about her.”
“Wanda, you can’t just look in my mind! We’ve talked about this!”
“Romanoff you know I’m one to keep my promises, so I’d never look without your permission. Maybe if you turned down the volume of your thoughts a few decibels I wouldn’t have heard anything. Also, are you ready that oblivious to the fact the whole team knows you two are like little lovesick puppies for one another when you two aren’t attached by the hip.” she explains, “Now, stop moping around and apologize at least.”
“You’re right, Wands, wish me luck. I hope she can forgive me.”
Natasha gets up and races towards your room. She didn’t want to wait so long to talk to you and apologize, but she thought you wouldn’t want to speak to her after what she’d said.
Similarly, to Wanda’s entrance, Natasha softly knocks on your door enough to wake you even out of your semi-deep sleep.
Readers pov
I jump at the knocks on the door and am confused to see Wanda is no longer beside me.
“Wanda you don’t have to knock, you know that.” I sigh out.
“It isn’t Wanda.” a voice you are able to recognize as Nat sheepishly speaks.
“Oh, what do you need?” I ask, all the heartbreak and ache coming back when I hear the voice I’m usually excited to listen to, as if her speech is my favorite song.
“Can we talk? I need to apologize.”
“Sure,” I softly reply.
Non readers pov
Nat opens the door once she has your permission and sees your usual strong, confident frame look small and fragile. Her heart breaks at the sight of you so broken and in pain because of her own actions. Not to mention your tear stained cheeks when you look towards her. It is silent for a minute or so before you throw your head back onto your pillow staring at the ceiling. This awakens something in Natasha for an unknown reason.
Readers pov
“Y/n, I am so sorry. I know that sorry doesn’t cut it for the amount of hurt I’ve caused you all because I was jealous but I hope we can rebuild what we had but it totally is okay if you don’t want to even though I would love another chance with yo-“
“Nat, calm down. I’m not going to sit here and say I’m fine with what you said because truth be told I love sharing memories of my family when I remember them with you. Not only because I trust you but because I think I care for you and love you more than friends should. I just hope what you said is meaningless or else that is when we can’t rebuild what we had.”
“No y/n/n, I didn’t mean any of it. It was just in the heat of the moment because I saw you laughing at something a recruit said when I was going to ask you if you wanted to go get dinner with me. So, I stormed off like a child and said hurtful things to mask my selfishness because I want you to be mine and mine only.”
“Oh my god Nat. You can’t be serious, I was laughing at something a recruit said because he assumed Clint and I were going out.” Nat bursts out laughing.
“See? Anyone who was told that who knew me would just die of laughter on the spot.” I say as I glance her way while patting the place beside me on my bed. She accepts.
“So you actually like me?” you hopefully ask.
“Possibly depending on if those feelings are reciprocated.”
“They are.” I say.
“Good. Can I also say how sorry I am for saying that to-“ I cut her off but placing a quick peck to her soft lips.
“Uh, uh, uh” I tut, “I don’t want to hear any more apologies come out of that mouth. Could you just hold me?” Natasha is still dumbfounded by the little kiss.
“Of course.” Nat complies pressing your back to her front as she wraps her long toned arms around your frame. I hum at the contact.
At this moment Nat realizes there is no place she’d rather be as she feels like she has the world in her arms.

Alright I got the request now. I’ll be writing a few headcanons I have for Tim and the dear Scared sniper. Also: don’t worry, nobody’s going to blame you for strugling with a foreign language that you don’t fully know yet. We use English because it’s very common and relatively easier to learn compared to others, but it’s still not our native language. Not in our case anyway. So, don’t worry
Now having said that, my headcanons for Tim and Scared Sniper under cut
So, Tim
Eyyy, let’s start with Tim.
-First of all, I want it to be clear, that from my point of view, Tim is probably the gayest sentient being in the universe. He does have fun being surrounded by his fellow Henchmen, but he is obviously after his Bad Captain. He may look at other people, yes... but his leader’s the one he wants. No matter if he keeps being pushed away. Tim thinks he’s just palying hard to get. -Nobody likes to shower with him because he stares. Even through the visor, people notice him staring, most of the time he either gets pushed out fast or yelleld at, or his comrades just ask a favor to a couple of soldiers to keep him out of the shower. And he’s not exactly mad, just... disappointed. He also stares at night, when people are sleeping. He mostly stares at Bad Captain, but he may also gives a few heart attacks to people if they hear a noise and wake up only to see this idiot staring at them. It happens very often to other soldiers being awaken in the middle of the night by a distant “GO TO BED, TIM!” -Tim also likes to interrogate prisoners. A lot. Bad Captain is not happy about his methods because the intel he gets is damn usueless to them. Tim acts more like he’s flirting, rather than interrogating. He asks for personal information, he makes the captured Tankmen feel... kind of uncomfortable to the point they’d rather be interrogated for other kind of info at some point. You know, classic war intel, not if they’re into men or ever had experiences-- -He thinks Bad Captain considers him his first hand man, so he gets... very upset if someone else is called in his place. It usually never happens, and if it does happen, Tim goes to complain to his leader so much that Bad Captain just gives up and picks him insted, sometimes though he gets mad and goes alone. Tim feels very guilty in those situations though, because he realized he stressed him too much and is worried he’s going to get captured or hurt. At least if there was someone else in his place he still could have been safer. -It’s rare to see him angry or taking the war thing seriously, but if his Bad Captain is hurt, Tim gets protective and doesn’t even let medics stay alone with him. He becomes a dangerous soldier if someone captures his Bad Captain or nearly kills him. Once he’s out of danger Tim goes back being calm and flirty as always as if othing happened.
-He’s also very chill about the whole war thing going on and he unnerves his comrades who are probably taking the thing more seriously. Tim doesn’t even have so many problems with the Tankmen, there isn’t this... hate that one should feel for the opposing faction. Nah, he’s pretty calm about it. Actually, he thinks they do have some hot men in their ranks he’d feel sorry to see falling on the battlefiald just like that. So he rarely shoots to kill. Better just aiming at the legs and take the man prisoner, rather than killing. He just doess’t like killing these good looking soldiers.
-He is afraid of the main Tankman sniper though, because he knows that Ted HAS a problem with him. Ted has a HUGE problem with Henchmen in general, and even if he’s mostly focused on snipers, Tim happens to be a Henchman, so he’s in the group of his targets. He doesn’t even waste time trying to flirt with him or stay for too long in his field of view. To be honest he thinks he’s pretty hot but the survival instinct is stornger in this case.
-He does like the Scared Sniper though, oh how he likes him! This cute, soft looking young man, his shy and scared behavior and how tense he gets when enemies are around. He absolutely would love to pet his back or his cheeks. Point is, survival isntincts are stronger even in this case. Tim knows laying a finger on Ted’s apprentice would lead him to a very very painful demise. __
Now it’s our Scared Sniper turn.
Our boy, our sweet, lovely boy. I already wrote some headcanons about him tha that I’m gonna put... here they’re just a few things I wrote also about Ted but so I won’t repeat myself.
-So, so. Is he gay? I don’t think he had time to carefully think about his sexuality before the Tankmen pulled him into their army. I doubt he had developed any attraction towards anyone at all before he was taken and given to Ted as his apprentice. He developed feelings for him and only for him, growing attracted to him so I personally see him as gay demisexual.
-Scared Sniper does have a name. But I think many Tankmen either forgot it and got it confused so often, they call him with many different names... and he doens’t correct anyone because he is very shy and unable to speak up to older soldiers. This became a pretty big problem, and now soldiers struggle to understand who someone is talking about. So “Scared Sniper” or even “Sniper number 2″ are easier names his comrades use to understand right away who they are talking about.
-He got recruited in the army because Captain and Steve felt guilty for scaring this poor man to death when they nearly ran him over with the tank when he was walking by himself in the middle of a completely empty road. How? They weren’t looking where they were going. He also proved to have very good eysight when he asked them if they were trying to make him calm down when they said it was an accident... only to then have their friends shoot him dead. Friends he saw hiding up on a roof. Which happened to be Henchmen. They pulled him in their tank and sudden recruitment.
-Scared Sniper was tried to be taught something about hand to hand combat. With very very little result. He’s also extremely afraid to use white weapons to the point that if he’s forced to use a knife he kees turning the head away and closing the eyes and blindly stabbing at the enemy. The idea of seeing blood, feeling a weapon sink into someone’s body... it’s too personal, he hates it.
-He’s not a bad sniper, but his arms are still very shaky he needs to take a couple of shots to get the targer, so he was given a G3SG1 sniper rifle, an automatic weapon that would allow him to not waste time before swiftly trying again. It can shoot bullets very fast one of ater the other. Which he should stop doing blindly when he panics. The first times he tended to close his eyes before shooting. He still does sometimes.
-He’s very protective towards Ted, even if he’s not exactly the most dangerous soldier around. Ted is strong and sometimes looks like he can’t feel pain at all. He gets stabbed and after amoment he acts like nothing happened. Scared Sniper, no. He feels pain and panicks badly when he’s hurt. He does panic when Ted gets hurt too, he feels alone and unable to do anything. However, there are moments he manages to snap and hold his ground protecting his mentor till help arrives. This happens when Ted’s unconscious or looks almost dead. If Ted’s still awake, he can’t fully snap... but in this case Ted manages to calm him down and instruct him on what to do.
-Scared Sniper is claustrophobic, but he feels calmer if Ted’s around him. for example if he was told to be alone in a building he’d indeed start to hear things and start shooting left and right. With Ted, this doesn’t happen. One day or another he’ll need to stay alone way more often, but for now he’s still and apprentice and he has no intention to leave Ted’s side. And Ted doesn’t mind anyway.
All I have for now, may write more in the future!

on the "why aren't we talking about the x scene" topic, why are we not talking about the one where Vi basically falls in love with Cait? Like Jesus the "I hate enforces but wow she actually seem to care about this very important thing to me" face is so wholesome??? Like that was the scene that made her go so soft with Caitlyn. The brothel and the "my hero" felt flirty but a bit more of a tease, and only after the little speech Caitlyn gives Ekko that Vi truly seem to be open and be vulnerable with Cait. I absolutely love when person a, on a story, fall in love with person b, not only because of the way person b treats person a, but ALSO because of the way person b treats every one around them. Anyway falling in love with someone's kindness is GOD FUCKING TIER romance, thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
i’m intending on dying and playing that scene at my funeral actually! vi what the fuck was that soft look you gave her! oh my god literally feeling herself fall in love in real time as caitlyn grows and learns how to be for the people and not just for piltover! fuck!!

♡ Weight Insecurity [hcs]
- ➣. . . ❝ Hiiii can I request for Kuroo, Keiji and Hajime with a chubby girlfriend who distanced herself cause she got insecure because a girl is getting too flirty with her man? 👉👈 thank you so muchhh (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡ ❞
― requested by: @ chichi-chanischibi ―
- ✎ characters ❝ kuroo, akaashi, and iwaizumi ❞
- [ trigger warning(s): heavy mentions of insecurity and slight language ]
- ⚘ genre ❝ fluff, angst ❞
❝ i just wanna say... LOVE AND APPRECIATE ALL BODIES BECAUSE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! thank you for coming to my ted talk (○゜ε^○) ❞
-kyo ♡
When it came to appearances she was perfect, tall, thin, and standard wise she was beautiful… Something you did not see in yourself- and watching the way she touched Kuroo, you felt as if maybe, just maybe that was who he was meant to be with.
Someone as equally as stunning as he is. Because that’s what they are, absolutely stunning standing next to one another, like two models fresh out of a magazine.
The sight alone makes your stomach churn, the familiar buzzing of anxiety vibrating throughout your body… He deserves better.
And the thought lingers in your mind the longer you stare at them, that tingle of anxiety soon joined by the clench of your heart. You watch him expectantly, perhaps he would pull away. Tell her he’s taken. But he doesn’t. He smiles the way he always does, seemingly oblivious to the way she eyes him, devouring every inch of his being.
With a shaky breath, you manage to tear your gaze away, continuing your steps down the hall. He deserves better, he deserves her, because she is beautiful and so is he, you are not- at least that’s what you tell yourself.
Throughout the day the scene replays in your mind. Her and Him- You don’t belong there. Especially now, as you stare into the bathroom mirror, you find yourself dissatisfied with your appearance. How could he possibly love you when you are nowhere near the standard that he is.
Tears begin to pool the longer you observe yourself. The plumpness of your body, and the roundness of your face, it leaves you feeling upset, angry, unpretty.
Gently, you wipe away the droplets that have trailed down your cheeks. You won’t let him see you like this, and maybe it’s best you don’t see him at all, because he’s sure to get dissatisfied with you one day, and when he does- when he leaves. It’ll hurt less if you no longer hold any ties.
With that set in mind, you move through the day tiptoeing around corners, looking over your shoulder for that familiar bedhead. Each time you hear his voice throughout the halls you freeze, holding your breath as you hide in the nearest place you can, hoping that he won’t see you.
But in the end, you know, your game of one-sided hide and seek will come to an end eventually because he’ll be waiting for you just outside that classroom door as soon as the bell rings. And when you see him, he’s going to ask. Ask why you’ve been avoiding him.
The ringing fills your ears much earlier than you expected, but your heart thunders louder. Packing up your belongings you make sure to keep your head hung low. Eyes diverted towards the floor as you try your best to get out of the small room as quickly as possible. However, the gentle grip around your wrist makes you freeze.
“Why have you been avoiding me?”
“What are you talking about Tetsurou?”
Looking up at him, fake smile plastered on your face, you can see it in his eyes. He knows you’re lying.
“Please tell me what’s wrong y/n… Did I do something?”
The tears return once more, wetting your lashes as you look at him,
“I just…- She’s so much more attractive than me… Tall- skinny”
And suddenly it strikes him, he feels guilty and utterly stupid as he gazes at you.
“Kitten… You’re just as attractive, if not more so. I love everything about you.”
“-But Tetsu, you deserve so much better…”
Your voice hitches and the tears finally spill. The sight breaks him, and he gently pulls you into his arms, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“Listen to me. You could look any way you wanted to, but I will always think you are stunning. If you want to take healthy steps to lose weight then that’s fine- you’ll be beautiful, and if you don’t you are still beautiful.”
His grip tightens slightly as he uses his hand to wipe away the tears.
“I love you for you and in my eyes, you will always be gorgeous… I am so sorry that I haven’t made you feel that way.”
The sincerity in his voice eases you, and you slowly find yourself melting into his touch.
“Thank you, Tetsu… I love you too.”
“Of course baby, and I’ll do my best to make sure you feel good every day.”
In your mind, Akaashi came from the world of the wealthy and beautiful. The standards in his world though very similar to your own, seemed so much higher- so much more prominent.
And as a result, you were very much nervous when he approached you one day, asking if you would accompany him as his date to a party being hosted by a close family business partner. You accepted- albeit very reluctantly, but, the gentle smile that spread across his lips made it all seem worth it.
The thought is what you keep in your mind, especially as you walk through large double doors, arm looped around his own as the two of you enter the party just behind his parents.
It’s just as grand as you expected it to be, leaving you awestruck. Men and women, boys and girls, each one holding themselves high, but you suppose that would be easy if you looked as though you were a model who was meant to be on the runway.
Your grip on Akaashi’s arm tightens, the sudden wave of anxiety that flows through your body as you glance around doesn’t go unnoticed by Akaashi, who gives you a glance of reassurance, setting you at ease for the time being.
And as time passes, you find that it’s not so bad. The two of you stick to the corners of the room, Akaashi being someone who even though wasn’t opposed to socializing, wouldn’t necessarily go out of his way to interact with everyone, especially if you weren’t exactly comfortable in the first place.
That is until a girl, petite and in your opinion, downright beautiful approached the two of you. Her aura is bright and welcoming, and the way Akaashi greets her so fondly has you anxiously gripping his arm once more.
As you talk, you come to know that she’s Akaashi’s childhood friend who had moved away quite some time ago. But at the same time, you also come to realize that she is what is to be considered the standardized perfect. She is cute, petite, and downright sweet. And that terrifies you even more as you come to think that they look good together, she fits in his world, and you do not.
Excusing yourself from the conversation as it slowly becomes more painful, you make your way to the drink table, before exiting to an open balcony for fresh air. You can still see them from where you are, but at least you no longer have to carry the burden of continuing the conversation.
Diverting your eyes to your drink, you manage to catch your appearance in the reflection of the glass. Examining your features from head to toe and letting your mind wander,
And the longer you stare, the more distaste you find in your appearance. From the rolls of skin to the gentle plumpness of your body, and the roundness of your face. You wonder how Akaashi could ever find you attractive because you think you are anything but.
You don’t even realize the tears that come to pool in your eyes, wetting your lashes and spilling to your cheeks. And you definitely don’t notice the presence of the boy behind you who gently lays his hands on your plush hips, pulling you close to his body.
“She’s pretty…”
He’s shocked, to say the least, he had noticed you were uncomfortable, but he wouldn’t have guessed it was because of her.
“But so are you…”
Turning to face him, his frown only deepens at the sight of your tear stained cheeks.
“I don’t belong here Keiji… Look at me, I’m not even half as pretty or petite as any of those girls in there I-”
Cutting you off with a soft kiss to your lips, he presses his forehead against yours.
“y/n… I am looking at you, and all I see is someone so beautiful inside and out that it makes my heartache with how much love I feel. I love you alone and no one could ever convince me otherwise. You are beautiful, I only have eyes for you y/n.”
“Thank you Keiji, I love you too.”
“Of course y/n- you deserve to feel just as beautiful as you are.”
It doesn’t take a genius to acknowledge that Iwaizumi has the body of a god. He’s simply beautiful. And while he may not have fans flocking to him like Oikawa, that doesn’t mean he isn’t accustomed to the more than occasional admirer.
Even now, after it’s been made official, a couple of months into dating that you and Iwaizumi are publicly in a relationship, every once in a while, someone will try their hand at stealing away his heart.
None have been successful so far, but the looming anxiety that settles itself in your chest has you worrying. That one day, when you least expect it, he’ll leave. Because Iwaizumi Hajime can have anyone he wanted… So why would he want you? And that thought runs through your mind constantly, with every pretty admirer, tall, or short, thin, and downright pretty.
The worry embeds itself within your mind, and you find yourself actively trying to avoid Iwaizumi while not raising suspicions.
Today at lunch, you’ll sit a little further away from him, and as you walk from one class to another, you’ll choose a different way to avoid seeing Iwaizumi until you get to a class the two of you share. Even at practice, you settle yourself on the second-row balcony, enough to say that you’re there, while still being out of his way. You’ve convinced yourself that this is for the best because it’s easier to let go when there’s nothing to hold onto.
Your mind is snapped from your thoughts as the gym door opens. A girl, small and pretty stands at the door. Even from where you sit, you can see the gentle flush of pink that decorates her cheeks, and you figure that perhaps she’s here for Oikawa… That is until Iwaizumi follows her out, and suddenly you find yourself holding your breath.
Waiting patiently, the ever growing anxiety only seems to worsen, seconds turn to a minute, and a minute turns to a couple, and you can’t stay in this gym anymore. It’s like the walls are beginning to cave in.
Quietly, you gather your belongings, tiptoeing your way out through the nearest exit in hopes of going unnoticed.
Upon leaving the gym you finally let the pooling tears spill, decorating your cheeks and spilling to the dirt in little droplets.
“y/n!”
The sudden call of your name is enough to make you halt until a pair of arms engulf your plump body jerking you forward.
“Hajime…?”
“Shittykawa said you looked upset- are you crying?”
Startled that you had been caught, you quickly wipe them away, shaking your head.
“Don’t lie… Baby tell me what’s wrong.”
Taking in a breath, you let it spill, the words leaving you in a flood.
“You just deserve so much more than me Hajime… That girl, she’s so pretty and skinny… And I just thought that maybe you’d leave me for someone more beauti-”
“Leave you?”
His hold tightens.
“Dammit y/n, don’t say that! You are the most beautiful person I have ever met. So what if she’s skinny. I don’t care about that because in my eyes you are stunning both inside and out.”
He cups your chubby cheeks between his hands pressing his lips against yours in a passionate kiss.
“You are the only one I will ever need in my life... Because- I fucking love you! And I will be damned if you don’t see that.”
Your eyes widen in shock… He’s never said that before.
“Hajime… I love you too. Thank you.”

i was wondering if you could do a gender neutral reader with the "having a crush on you" preference except with the Black Friday cast (i don't really mind what characters from the cast as along as Ethan's included) it's completely fine if not! Thank you for reading.
Of course! Thank you so much for requesting^^
Having a crush on you - Black Friday
i wanted to finish this on the same day so i made some cuts, i really wanted to write about sherman (gary and older!ted too to be honest) but mayhaps i will get back to it in the future^^
Linda
she’s very,, confused
because she wants to show you love and all but promises herself she won’t sink that low
tries to impress you so hard it’s not even funny
but i assume the fact that she’s rich doesn’t instantly make you swoon
so that leaves her with little to no ideas
she’s SO over the top and unironically uses the ‘oh i didn’t see you there’ because she’s too proud to admit she’s been seeking you
wants to make you fall for her as fast as possible because she feelslike you should be pining for her not the other way around
has some self doubt if you are blind to her (terrible) advances but would never admit it
she tries to be funny and be mean to ohers like she berated becky because she wants to make you laugh and she would die if she was nice for 5 seconds
remember draco from avpm? yeah she’s like that but worse
actually stops sleeping around as fast as she catches feelings
Lex
very casual about it
trusts you with her private life and just in confides you in general
but other than that she doesnt treat you any differently
she thinks she doesn’t have time for relationships and she needs to focus on work and on her sister
when pamela started pushing more illegal activities onto her she distances herself
if you stick through it she’ll grow closer to you
comes over a lot if you allow her
tells you about her plans for the future and asks about yours
meets you for smoke breaks to talk about work and life and how much both suck
teases you sometimes
gets high and plans the future with you on the days her mom is out and when hannah is asleep
can get blushy at times but masks it well
Frank
he’s very extra but thinks he’s being smooth
makes himself out to be the good guy of every situation because he wants you to be on his side
very flirty
talks a lot about you
lex will probably ‘accidentally’ slip up about this if he was being a bigger jerk than usual earlier that day
in general does a 180 with his attitude to seem more nice
since his accomplishments (and worth a bit too) to him mostly consist of how good he’s doing at his job he will gladly brag about it
tries to show you his side and his ideals
overall he wants you to like him but he’s not really putting in the effort to be a more likeable person
Ethan
the second he sees you his iq drops to negative 20
so most people can tell he likes you just by how stupid he’s acting
would do anything for you if you asked and does many favours in general even if you didn’t ask
wants to impress you SO BADLY which woud be alright if he would’t also show off
now he’s not much of a show-off usually but if someone dares him he will do a lot of stupid things to make you laugh or impress you
but that’s the more dangerous side, he also tries to take care of you and help you in stuff
firstly because he likes to see you happy but he also wants you to see him as someone who’s good enough for you because he’s not very sure he it
surprisingly he’s somewhat shy about phisical contact but will gladly gove you some if you initiate it first
and did i mention he’s extremely protective (not posessive for the record) and can and will get into a fight if someone threatens you
in most cases he’ll listen to you if you state that you don’t want him doing so
jokes with you a lot too
but can be serious if you need it
like when you are upset he’s the first one to come and offer you comfort even if he’s not always the best at it
saves up to give you nice things too
Tom
(i dont really like him so it will be short)
very soft for you
slowly opens up to you
after some time introduces you to Tim
has times when things are going too quick and he steps back
very nervous and awkward in the beggining
i mean as time goes on it doesn’t get THAT better but he has his moments
protective of you
asks for your opinion often and likes to listen to you talk
Becky
you thought tom was awkward? well she’s worse
tries to compliment you but is very shy about it
always listens to what you have to say
doesn’t ask you to meet but always gladly accepts your offers
gives you some phisical affection if you consent (like hugs when she greets you)
very worried for you and always makes sure you’re okay if something bad happens
praises you a lot even for small things
the whole town knows at this point
Wilbur
he will jump right into action and by that i mean he will be a creep
i’m sorry but he’s just like that at this point
catcalls and makes comments
he knows all timelines and uses that to show you that being with him will end better than some of your other lives (having aliens wear your skin, dying in a explosion) which isn’t much but he also uses details from your personal life too like in two years time you’ll have an abusive partner do you really wanna that over this
look, i said he likes you i never said that’s a good thing
and well, you don’t know how he got there but he’s sometimes hanging around your apartment now and that’s just life now
personal space? privacy? who’s are they?
flirts heavily but doesn’t get romantic, i feel like he’d be more all bark no bite type with it
lots of casual phisical contact
might steal your clothes,,,
Cineplex teen
at first he tries to avoid you because he doesn’t think you’d like him back
but also because he doesn’t want to embarass himself
he’s smitten and a bit of a mess but he’s also very tired so usually his lack of energy prevents him from doing something unusually stupid
if someone he doesn’t know questions him about his feelings he’ll deny it not to make you uncomfortable
but if a friend does he just tells the truth already having given up on the case
if you need help with something (and he works everywhere so location isn’t important here) he’ll gladly help you and will give additional tips
sometimes zones out staring

Our Paths Crossed At The Right Time
Here’s part 5 of my Schitt’s Creek Season 5 Coda Series - read it here or on A03 - and if you are enjoying this series, please reblog or come say hi!
*****
Summary: For the record, I was only ever jealous of Ted.
When David gets back from adding their trash bags full of empty plastic cups and crumpled napkins to the garbage bins behind the building, a sense of calm has settled over the apartment. The lights are off except for a lamp by the bed, and there’s soft music playing.
“Here,” Patrick says, handing David a glass of wine. David frowns, because he’s had enough to drink tonight that he’s been tipsy and back again, but when he takes a sip he understands – it’s one of their reserve bottles from the store, a rich, fragrant red that is meant to light up your senses, not dull them.
Patrick has ditched his baggy pajama set and is wearing a soft gray t-shirt and blue striped bottoms. He looks more like himself, warm and familiar. David runs his free hand down the center of his chest as they settle on the couch, knees touching as they curl towards each other.
David examines Patrick’s face, studiously neutral, his posture not quite matching his efforts to create a cozy atmosphere. David knows Patrick was nervous about tonight. It was his first time hosting something like this in Schitt’s Creek – a game night at Ray’s isn’t the same as throwing a party in your own place – and he was invested in having it go well. For all of Patrick’s outward confidence, Patrick still sometimes feels like the new kid in town, and letting all these people into his private space isn’t as easy for him as he made it seem.
But Patrick had kept his chin up throughout, even when the guest list had gotten a little out of control, with friends from his baseball team inviting another group of players, and Jake declining (thankfully) but apparently spreading the word around first. When Patrick chose the high school sleepover theme he hadn’t intended it to be the kind of party that wound up wrecking the house and causing neighbors to call the police. Luckily it hadn’t gone quite that far.
David takes a long sip of wine and then sets his glass down on the coffee table. He would have been okay with getting directly into bed after the night they’ve already had, but Patrick seems to need something else. “Come here,” he says, holding out his arms, and Patrick slides into them. “You okay?” he asks, feeling Patrick relax against him as he rubs his hands up and down Patrick’s arms.
“Yeah.” Patrick finishes his wine and puts his glass down, then settles back against David. “Is it weird that I’m glad the party’s over?”
David shakes his head. “Nope. I’ve certainly had enough connecting with people for one night.”
“Except me, I hope,” Patrick says, tilting his head up for a kiss.
“Except you, of course.” David kisses Patrick a few times for good measure. Patrick tastes like the merlot, cherries and chocolate, opening easily for David. “Anyway, all your guests had a good time. There’s nothing to worry about.”
“I guess.”
“Everyone went home with a story to tell and pictures to post. That’s what people want from a party.”
Patrick shifts and looks at him. “What kind of stories?”
David strokes the back of Patrick’s head, pulling him close again. “They’ll talk about how cute we looked in our matching pj’s, and how you provided just the right amount of liquor and jello shots to help make their adolescent dreams come true, except this time without the braces and acne.”
“Including spin the bottle.”
“Including spin the bottle,” David repeats. He hesitates, unsure about revisiting a sore subject, but he figures Patrick wouldn’t have brought it up if there wasn’t something wasn’t left to discuss. “Is that still bothering you?”
Patrick takes David’s hand and rubs his thumb along the silver rings. “I’m not sure. I can’t stop thinking about it. I don’t know why.”
“That’s okay.” David runs the mess over in his head – Ted’s overly enthusiastic kiss; Patrick pouting in the corner with Alexis. The affronted look on Patrick’s face when Alexis took off her heels before leaning in to kiss him. Patrick standing stock still as Alexis hummed theatrically against his lips.
“Actually,” David says, “I think I owe you an apology.”
Patrick tilts his head and catches David’s gaze, his brown eyes looking almost black in the dim light. “No you don’t. You were right, what you said before. I made you play that game, and the fact that Ted gets flirty when he drinks is on him. You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“But I shouldn’t have suggested that you and Alexis kiss. You didn’t like that.”
David can feel Patrick still in his arms. David squeezes his hand gently and waits, giving Patrick space to answer. It makes him feel uneasy when Patrick is uncomfortable. David wants to do this right, with Patrick. He wants to do everything right with him. It’s hard sometimes, because trolling each other is practically their love language, but occasionally something will throw Patrick off course that David hadn’t anticipated.
David wouldn’t be surprised if he managed to put his foot in his mouth tonight. The scene was ripe for disaster, and given David’s track record, he’s lucky it wasn’t worse. But if someone had asked David <i>why</i> Patrick might get annoyed at him during the party, he would have guessed his inability to keep his opinion about the inappropriate snacks to himself, or his visible distaste for beer in cans, not because of the fallout from a childish party game.
“Alexis kissing me wasn’t a big deal,” Patrick says finally, but David can hear the uncertainty in his voice. He kicks himself for not catching it sooner.
“It’s okay if it was.”
Patrick takes in a long breath and lets it out slowly. “I appreciate you saying that. But I could have stopped her. It was consensual – it wasn’t even sexual. She might as well have been bopping my nose. I don’t know why it’s bothering me.”
David doesn’t think it was quite the same as a bop on the nose, if for no other reason than the way Patrick looked when Alexis did it. David twines their fingers together and brings their hands up to his chest. “Well, whatever it was or wasn’t, for my part in it, I’m sorry.”
Patrick’s eyes search his face, and the tension leaves his expression. He cups David’s cheek and turns his face towards him. “You’re really something, David Rose.”
David leans into Patrick’s touch, and Patrick’s fingers weave into his hair. “I’m glad you think so.” They move together, exchanging soft kisses, neither of them with the energy to do much more than that. But it’s all it takes for the nerves in David’s stomach to calm, the perfect pressure of Patrick’s lips against his own washing away all the uncertainties of the night. After a few minutes David tugs Patrick closer, nearly onto his lap, and Patrick nestles against him, his head in the crook of David’s neck.
“Wanna go to sleep?” David asks.
“Mmm, yeah.”
Patrick doesn’t move, and David laughs quietly against his short hair. “I didn’t mean right here.”
“Oh, is sleeping on the couch incorrect?”
“I just think we’d be better off in your extremely comfortable new bed.”
“Speak for yourself.” Patrick squirms a bit and pretends to settle in, sighing deeply.
He’s adorable, but David knows he’s just playing, and he’d rather they get off the sofa before one of them actually falls asleep. He manhandles Patrick off his lap and pulls him to his feet, Patrick soft and clingy as they make their way to bed. Patrick doesn’t show any sign of making a pit stop for skin care or dental hygiene at the moment, and David decides he can afford to skip a night as well. He’d rather stay close to Patrick.
They cuddle up, David’s head on Patrick’s chest and his knee pressed against Patrick’s leg. Patrick kisses his hair and rubs his back, and David considers that he never, ever felt this good after a party in his whole entire life.
“Being with you is better than anything I could have imagined in high school,” David says, tired enough that he’s not even embarrassed at the words that spill out of his mouth.
Patrick huffs out a little laugh and hugs David closer. “I think you know I never imagined anything like you in high school.” Patrick shifts and kisses David softly on the lips. “And David?”
“Hmm?”
“For the record, I was only ever jealous of Ted.”

do you have any spn fic recs???
yeah i do 😔
disclaimer everything i read is vetted by abby bc there’s no way i’m raw dogging it in the deancas tag on ao3 so she basically gets credit for this list and i know she has a bigger one somewhere. i’m realizing all of these are LONG so if you’re looking for instant gratification i’m sorry i don’t do that. they all have happy endings though!
a turn of the earth - for if you were traumatized by the time traveller’s wife and/or dr who season 2 episode 13 doomsday as a young teen. season ten (i think?) cas is popping in and out of pre-series dean’s timeline and can’t control it. this made me ugly cry more than i’d ever like to admit, like the hits just keep coming with this one. my heart still hurts when i think about it. cas’s characterization in this is particularly satisfying in the sense that he’s a little fucker and there’s a clear uh... power dynamic happening
so says the sword - dean says yes to michael and they’re waiting for him to arrive. this is a beautifully written look at a very factory-settings-angel cas getting to know dean as he guards him waiting for the apocalypse to start. PLUS some angel true form deliciousness
après - a fluffy little piece where dean and cas get to do nice things. okay i lied have some instant gratification!
all things shining - did someone say soulmates? folklore and oral history? a mythology spanning all of time and creation? AND a road trip? this is one is alternating bouts of being very very dark and very very soft and gentle. a classic. my only critique is there’s too much sam for my liking but oh well
ninety one whiskey - this is the AU, and it’s the AU for a reason. set in wwii, very expansive and detailed, more battle minutia than i ever thought i’d read but surprisingly didn’t even dislike that part. this one is rough and not like... an enjoyable read, so be warned. a ton of violence, no one is ever happy, but it will enter your home and rip your heart out of your chest. i’ve never read a little life but from what i understand, i’m gonna call this the a little life of deancas fic
castiel novak’s office, this is dean - OFFICE ROMANCE!! what if you hook up with a guy and then realize the next morning that he’s your new boss? another AU but much lighter. this one i’ve only read a few chapters of, it’s fun and flirty and VERY smutty. good characterization. also openly bisexual dean, which we love to see!
down to agincourt - i’ll take a healthy dose of endverse, please! there quite literally are not words to describe how much i love this fic and the sheer magnitude of it. over a million words so far and it’s not finished. the worldbuilding in this fic is unparalleled, and, similar to 91w, it has a whole fandom unto itself. the characterization and development we see is incredible. this fic is sprawling, and soooo so so detailed: we go through pretty much every day with these characters. i’m roughly 410k words in and it’s only been four months. and the fucking kicker is they HAVE NOT SO MUCH AS KISSED YET. this is the slowburn to end all fucking slowburns. the first part of this series is INCREDIBLY deliberately hard to follow and filled with a whole bunch of circular metaphysical conversations as canon timeline dean and endverse cas figure each other out. but bro, it’s so beautiful. from there it turns into essentially a fake dating romcom set against the literal apocalypse SO! okay i’m gonna shut up now but this fic has been my companion for the past month and is one of my favourite pieces of fiction i’ve ever read period hands down. seperis is a genius thanks for coming to my ted talk
#down to agincourt is not for everyone but she's truly singular in terms of fanfic and like.. fiction in general#reaffirms that i will read literally anything regardless of plot if it's overly detailed and sprawling
