Isaac enjoys his morning runs and he asked Vincent to join him. Knowing that they are related, their dynamic is more casual now, and over the week they have grown a strong bond. During their warm-up, Vincent opened up about his heart and how he can't do high-intensity workouts, "No worries, we'll take it slow," Isaac gave him a thumbs up.

Their relationship was still kept hidden and they discussed it while jogging. "I'm fine with meeting your Mum, but telling Renee? You said she's a detective," Isaac frowned. "We can't keep this secret. Telling everyone we know is the right thing to do," Vincent sighed. "I know you wanted us to find the truth about Dad...alone. But having detectives on our side will be an advantage. You can trust me on that."

Friendly reminder that Mel and Jayce would have died holding each other if she wasn’t a mage.

I saw someone say “Jayce made the decision to die with Viktor” as an argument against Mel/Jayce. First of all, if Mel wasn’t a mage Jayce would have died with her in the explosion. Jayce shielded her with his body.

Does that devalue Viktor’s importance to him? No!

(And I know for a fact if they showed Jayce shielding Viktor with his body with Mel to the side people would be screaming “see it’s proof he doesn’t love her!”)

Second- was Jayce supposed to let Viktor die alone to “prove” he loved Mel??

I see this type of argument all the time.

“Jayce left Mel in bed to go to Viktor” - Yeah cause Vik was dying? Was he supposed to just go back to sleep?

“Jayce left Mel after the explosion to save Viktor” - One of them is perfectly unharmed and the other has two feet in the grave!

“Jayce spent all his time in the lab waiting for Viktor to wake up” - Mel clearly isn’t jealous, and of course he’s at Viktor’s side, he’s in a coma!

Those times “Jayce chose Viktor over Mel” were because Viktor needed him in those moments. Since when can you only love one person at a time?

Vi loves Jinx immensely and would do anything to save her. That doesn’t “take away” from her love for Caitlyn. The same applies for Jayce!

i honestly don't think grian betrayed scar in the finale at all, even by final killing lizzie and jimmy

grian was abundantly clear from the start who his alliance was with: scar, and scar alone. he outright told scar on multiple occasions not only that his friendship didn't extend to scar's allies, but even that he still intended on killing jimmy as revenge. scar knew full well where grian stood with his teammates; if he didn't know, it was because he was being intentionally ignorant about it.

grian kept his promises. the closest he gets to a betrayal is when he first sets up the trap and says "we could get a triple kill," but even then, he doesn't. he goes to great lengths not to kill scar; after scar has lost his final life, he laments as to how the bloodlust made it so so tempting to just kill scar, but he couldn't because their alliance was "too strong." grian avoids using the bambunker trap until after scar is dead, and says "my only issue with this trap was that i was going to kill scar."

grian didn't betray scar. he went out of his way not to. he lived up to every single promise he made, and he didn't even force scar to feel it. because he knows how badly it hurts to watch everyone you love die in front of you. so he made his intentions clear, and in the end, he even managed to spare scar the survivor's guilt that clings to his hands like blood and gunpowder. a small mercy that was, perhaps

you know in all the posting about irving and helly’s friendship after last ep, i haven’t seen anyone mention yet that he was one of the two people who first saw her, who watched her (through the screen, on the other side of the wall) as she woke up for the first time, confused and scared and burning with anger. and then he was the one who brought her back; he was the one she first saw (holding her in his arms), as she was confused and scared and freezing. he was there for her start, and she was there again just in time for his end.

This is probably because I grew up watching 24/7 animal planet, but what finally made the allo/aplatonic thing click for me were the nature's of big cats.

Lions are powerful, regal creatures who are uniquely adapted to pack life. They need these connections to live a healthy life; A lonely lion is a miserable creature indeed.

Jaguars are solitary, beautiful creatures who live happily solitary. They prowl their lush world with self-sufficient majesty. A jaguar is not lonely without a pack. In fact, forcing jaguars to share space with others they do not enjoy is just as damaging as forcing a lion to live alone.

A lion may choose to head out on it's own for the most part, but in the end must return to the pack to thrive. A jaguar can choose to trust and enjoy the company of others, but they never feel the need to form a pack.

Is a jaguar selfish for this? A psychopath, a narcissist or any other such horrid assumptions? Is it a less moral creature than a lion, who seeks others like it to thrive?

Is a lion pathetic, or needy, or selfish for wanting community? For requiring contact with others like they require water? For their inherent need to string complicated webs of relationships that may seem silly or dramatic to others?

Of course not. These are ridiculous questions to even ask.

They are simply lions and jaguars.

In fact, is a jaguar that chooses to spend time with you not as magical as a lion's love? For a creature that needs no bond to thrive to still enjoy your presence enough to share it a time? Is a lion who can prowl the night alone not impressive in its strength and resilience? Is it not awe-inspiring in its ability to conquer a life it was never wired for and reign still?

Are they not both beautiful and awe-inspiring in their own ways, without being wrong?

Alloplatonics. Aplatonics. Are we not both special and beautiful in both our bonds and self-confident happiness equal, in each our ways? Is there not unique beauty in lifelong bonded packs and magical encounters that need no perpetuity to carry life forward?

Are we not but lions and jaguars? Neither wrong, neither selfish, but just different and beautiful creatures in each our ways?

That's how I've come to see it, anyway.

Can we bring up the fact that Laszlo, up until this point, has never been interested in Guillermo (that wasn't out of boredom, necessity or putting him down - I'm talking genuine interest (and dare I say slight concern?) in him), or literally anything he had to say or what he did throughout the day. Not even once. But here Laszlo is, constantly bringing up the topic of Guillermo's seemingly odd behavior to the other vampires - also showcasing that he's paid enough attention to him to where he can recognize that Guillermo's not acting like his usual~ self. I also noticed that Laszlo praised Guillermo's familiar duties (has he ever complimented him before? Idts) and proclaimed to Nandor on his own that he agreed with Guillermo that Nandor was using hypnosis too much. He even said "Ah! There he is." to himself when Guillermo showed up after he and Nandor met up with Nadja after they got out of jail, meaning that he was still thinking of Guillermo even when he was hanging out with Sean and Nandor and after all the crazy excitement that happened that night. And in the end it turned out that he kind of was concerned about Guillermo because he told him he pretty much thought he had a bad stomach ache and wanted to tell him to be careful about what he eats. Aww.

I think Laszlo co-parenting with Guillermo towards baby Colin Robinson last season sparked an interest (and respect) in Guillermo, and I love finally seeing their relationship develop, and I look forward to seeing them bond more this season (even if it is baby steps lol But in a way it's the total opposite because Laszlo has never talked about/to Guillermo this much in one season before, much less the series as a whole, and I am loving every second of it).

Small but significant character moments that I actually really adore are from both the times we see the boys as tots. There is a reoccurrence that happens in both of them that I find so incredibly interesting.

For the turtle tot short, Splinter leaves the boys with weapons. In the short, Raph is the one who suggests they do “what Lou Jitsu would do” and Leo is the one who takes point when Splinter comes back to reprimand them. Leo, in taking point, is the one to defend them and get Splinter off their tails.

And then, in the flashback regarding the Kuroi Yōroi helmet, Raph is the one who grabs and throws “Skully” as a way to replace their missing ball which breaks it into pieces, but Leo is the one who speaks for the group and rushes into action to fix the teapot.

I love this for multiple reasons, but the biggest are how it shows that Raph has always been inclined toward the bold and fun and making the plans to include his brothers in what he loves and believes they’d love, whereas Leo has always been inclined to be the “Face” of the group and shoulder the attention even if it’s potentially negative all while coming up with on the spot attempts to fix the situation.
