I've been picking mostly only the essential flirt options with lucanis in the romance so far (I've personally found the dynamic much more natural and mutual when you do that, more like forming a solid friendship slowly and inevitably becoming something else and less like you keep pushing on him and getting little back b/c he seemingly just gets overwhelmed and goes into freeze instead), and I think rye is a pretty hard person to read at the best of times even though he's been Down Real Bad from pretty early on and their chemistry as people is naturally really good. so the way the almost-kiss plays out in this playthrough feels a lot like it has the added layer of lucanis realizing that no but for sure rook is flirting and not just being kind or a good friend* it IS actually happening it's not just wishful/fearful thinking!!! and then uh. maybe going a bit too hard a bit too fast in all the excitement at that revelation haha

*in lucanis' defense he has seemingly literally never had a friend who wasn't his cousin-brother before, under those circumstances I suppose some confusion is extremely natural if not outright expected lmao

i was tagged by @katsigian and @ecofear to take this quiz for some of my ocs, thank you both so much!!! loved doing this sm, two things i love obsessing over: saints and ocs <3

patron saint of relics. patron saint of remembering. patron saint of holding something close. patron saint of holding on for too long. for a saint, a relic is often a part of the body, kept for some physical memento of their holiness. they are all in your hands, now: does it feel like remembrance? does it feel sanctified? are the dust and blood as precious as they're supposed to be?

patron saint of bones. patron saint of frameworks. of structures. of solidity. patron saint of things that break. patron saint of things that are left behind. the bones survive long after the body, the building: what is there left for them, when the rest has gone? what do bones do, with nothing to hold around them? who holds the bones?

patron saint of heartbreak. not of comfort. not of condolences. there is a heart and there is a fissure, a fracture, something that starts to splinter and break open. you're the patron saint of the way a heart is rent open. the way it tears itself apart. patron saint of the rift. patron saint of the gash. when they say to "open your heart" to somebody, you are the patron saint of bleeding out.

new year old me, since im back at it again (badly) imitating the DA tarot style 👍 but we have fun here so a win is a win. two versions since i couldnt decide on one. enjoy <3

I have a little flower language pocket guide which i've been consulting for years, and even though i know flower language is a fickle thing prone to change depending on the source, here are my choices:

field bindweed for stubbornness, tanacetum (tansy? tanacetum vulgare? пижма крч) for resistance, pomegranate flowers for naivete, and hawthorn flowers for hope 👍

I wanted some flowers that would be symbolic of some Core Qualities Zea has (hope, naivete), but also their choices in life (stubbornly following their heart and ideals wherever they take them) (having no respect for authority if it goes against what they consider to be the greater good, or a kinder option)

the idea was also to make the background a bit...ummmmm gloomy. i guess. hint at the blight n all. the sun WAS originally supposed to be just the regular kind but then i was like HOLD UPPP BUT THE ECLIPSE THOOOOO and so......

now that i think about it, i could have maybe played around with making at least some of the flowers into a more...ummm strict and symmetrical pattern rather than going for the more realistic approach and maybe that would have made this whole thing look closer to the style im actually trying to achieve here but. maybe some other time. maybe ill post another version like a week later. who knows lol

also i love the color palette reference i made for Zea bcs like. the eye color is so fun bcs it LOOKS green (to me at lest) but its like. on the orange part of the color spectrum. color witchcraft

She's Rosa, the head of Ninomiya Estate's staff (Namimori branch) and the family's 10th Generation Rain Guardian - a very competent, capable, cool and elegant maid. She's very good at her job because this is exactly her passion in life. It helps even more that her two young masters are very lovable and adorable people 🥰

Whether if it's cleaning up after Kurumi-sama's black matter (after another attempt to practice cooking) or if it's cleaning up after Kana-sama's bloody massacre of corpses (after another mission well done), she's the perfect person for the job! 💪💖 She'll make sure to dispose of any trash for them and to not leave even a single speck of dust.

For Day 15's prompt, I'm linking one of the good vibes songs that's been a regular on my playlist lately. It's a song that perfectly describes Rosa's POV on her work as a maid under Oniyanagi family. If Rossa hears this song in-universe, she will probably make this the staff's main theme song lmao

As for her subordinates, they're still a work-in-progress but I hope to introduce them soon.

She's a very professional person, so she also tries to treat the other guardians well (even if the others can be red flags or assholes). It's just that she tunnel visions on the twins a lot of the time.

Releasing fully detailed profiles for them takes sm time, so I'm just gonna slowly introduce the guardians in snack-size info/posts like these hahaha I'm still tweaking her maid uniform and other parts of her design, I think I can still draw her better. When I'm satisfied, that's when I'll do a full-color illustration of her.
