saying this at an extremely random time because i truly don’t mean it in the direction of anyone or any message in particular, but if we could maybe in general just keep in mind that i am not actually an Authority on anything i talk about. ur compliments are very lovely and i appreciate them sm, and i know i do make posts kind of intentionally in a way where they’re supposed to make people laugh and get attention and thus a follower count or whatever, but just, i have had a bad experience or two with it feeling a bit out of my control and people getting... over-excited? and putting me on a pedestal or something which stops being fun pretty fast and can be uncomfortable both for me and for others in the same fandom space. ideally i’d like to have the really wonderful level of interaction i do have here while a) being responsible with it and b) having my own boundaries. i would love us all to keep in mind that i am just another random guy on the internet who, particularly if we’re not mutuals, you don’t know and who doesn’t know you. and, perhaps a separate point, that i’m a random white guy on the internet and i get things wrong, which is one of many reasons you should not be listening to me to the exclusion of all else, and, for example, over the voices of fans of colour. the last thing i ever ever want, in that situation or any other, is for it to be intimidating to question/discuss/criticise something i’ve said. i think if we remember all that, we can be chill and have a chill time? that’s all i want to do instead of sounding like i’m issuing press releases which i kind of do right nowww okay bye i’m going back 2 sleep 💤💤💤

Chapter Two: Kids

I remember Jason fresh out of the hospital when I dream of him. He’s lethargic, slumped to one side in his chair. His head is shaved completely because the doctors left it uneven when they performed the surgery. His eyes are sunken in as he stares into space. He doesn’t speak in these dreams. He groans continuously. It’s a lingering noise that haunts me always. I never dream of him as I want to. I always see him like this. There’s an emptiness in his eyes like all the fight’s left his body. I push him along in his chair, and he waves a hand to stop me. Then, I hear a sound that wakes me out of my sleep. A gun pops, and I don’t have enough time to see what happens next before I wake up sweating and shaking. 

I got up and searched for Jason until Dick grabbed me. “Jason’s not here,” Dick whispered, “Jason’s gone. He—.”

I don’t remember what happened afterward. My mind went back to Jason. Fresh out of the hospital and leaning in his chair. I remember our first dinner together. Dick stopped by to join us. “I’d like to make a toast,” Dick announced, “Here’s to home-cooked meals and housebound brothers.”

Jason half-smiled and raised his glass with his left hand. The attack made him weak on his right side, so he started favoring his left. He tried to speak, but we saw in his face that he was lost. A weak, slurred laugh to save face rolled off his tongue and his eyes drooped. We knew he was tired, but he came to dinner anyway. Finally, the words found him. “Glad to be h-hhhome. Thanks,” Jason stammered. 

Dick smiled, but he had tears in his eyes. He cried a lot when Jason was in the hospital. He held back tears every day Jason was lucid enough to notice. It was little hiccups like that that made Dick hold his breath and tear up. I couldn’t blame him. We almost lost Jason completely. “Did you tell Donna I said hi?” 

In my head, I always commended him when he got through a whole sentence. Maybe he could see it in my eyes because he shut down every time he looked at me. I tried to stop, but it was a knee-jerk reaction. Jason closed his eyes and turned away from me. “I did. She’ll stop by once she’s over and done with her mission,” Dick replied. 

“How’s Roy? Is the baby okay?” Jason asked. 

“He’s good. Lian’s good… He loves being a dad,” Dick smiled.

Jason smiled as he scooped up his macaroni. “You—? You ever thought about it?” Jason questioned. 

Dick set his fork down. “About what?” Dick asked in reply. 

“Kids,” Jason whispered, “Do you ever w—?” Jason stalled as he tried to force the word out. “Want kids?”

Dick rubbed his neck and looked down at his plate with wide eyes. “Well, sure. Why are you asking?” Dick replied. Jason chuckled.

“Dunno… Just thought it’d be nice,” Jason replied, “Little people… Learning to walk... Learning to talk... Learning to eat—.”

“Jason—.”

“I’m just saying. It’d be nice. Maybe I’d have some company while you were on missions. Would you still—?” Jason gestured with the roll of a hand. 

“Well, Jason. I don’t know. I’m not having kids anytime soon. Besides, you��d be back on your feet before any kid of mine would be born,” Dick replied. 

“Why’s the question making you so nervous?” Jason asked. “You’d be good… A good dad. Kids love you… I didn’t mean anything by it.” 

Dick’s jaw tightened. Jason had no malice in him. He was wiped out by a simple conversation and a meal. He had no energy for arguments. “I know… It’s a weird time for me right now. Transitional time for everybody… It must be one of those years. When everything smooths out I’ll let you know,” Dick replied. 

“Wh—? What about you, Bruce? You ever thought about babies? Having—? Having any? Adopting any?” Jason asked. 

“I’m the last person—.”

“It might be good for—. For you. You don’t laugh anymore. I’d like it if you laughed,” Jason whispered. He looked down as he said it, frowning as if it were his fault. 

“Jason… I laugh,” I replied. Jason nodded. He didn’t say anything else. He didn’t argue with me. Jason stopped arguing with me after the attack. I swallowed hard and took a sip of wine with my dinner. 

That’s how I remember Jason. He wasn’t that way the night it happened, but if I remember him upright… Walking. Laughing. Talking like he didn’t have a care in the world. I remember him at his most vulnerable because it makes more sense. I can’t remember him that night because he was so alive. Too alive. I can’t handle him that way.

Dick’s sobbing woke me out of my sleep. I walked down the hall, disconnected from my body as I opened the door. Which door? Not sure. Don’t know. I opened the door and looked at Dick on his knees, his face pressed into Jason’s olive green tartan throw blanket. I always liked that blanket. “He needs you,” Jason whispered. I could almost feel his hand on my arm. I bit down on my lip hard enough to draw blood. “You are not a son-less father. Don’t leave Dick as a fatherless son.”

“Dick,” I whispered. Dick wouldn’t stop crying. He couldn’t stop crying. So, I grabbed him and pulled him into my arms. It wasn’t in my nature to hold. I wasn’t a soft place to fall. I was stern, cold, and Dick was—. He was warm. He threw his arms around my child, shaking and sobbing like a child. I rubbed his back. 

“He should be in his bed,” Dick wept. I couldn’t think about it. I let the words pass through my ears. I didn’t want to hear him. I didn’t want to think about it. A knock at the door. The doorbell chimed. 

Detective O’Halloran. 

I told Dick to stay put before I headed down the stairs. I made my way down with an urgency, passing by Alfred on the way. “Master—.”

“I’ve got it, Alfred,” I interrupted as I answered the door. “Detective…”

“I understand this is a bad time for you, and your family—.” 

“I just woke up… What—?” I paused, looking down at the sweatshirt and then my hands. I hadn’t showered. I still had Jason’s blood on my hands. “Can we talk out here? I don’t want to upset my other son any more than I already have.”

She nodded and sat on the porch with me. “More than you have?” Detective O’Halloran questioned. 

It came to me in flashes. I tried to suppress it. I tried to push it down. Forget it. Erase it. The craving for vengeance that came with the memory. I couldn’t think of the man’s face under the stocking cap. I couldn’t think about how the gun was pointed at me. Meant for me. That bullet was mine. The blood should’ve been mine. Jason should’ve been the witness to the crime. Not the victim. 

“The gun. He pointed the gun at me. The shooter had the gun on me. I didn’t have time to hear what he was saying before Jason—. He jumped in front of me and I heard a bang. Jason turned toward me, and he had his hands—. One hand on his stomach. The blood just sort of—. It gushed out through his fingers,” I swallowed hard and shut my eyes. “He reached for me, and his fingers got caught in my buttons. They popped off and hit the ground on his way down. I caught him like—. I caught him like this.” I pantomimed a hugging motion. “His body was limp and he slipped through as he crumpled to the ground.” Then, my mind drifted. I knew what she wanted to hear, but I told her what happened and how I saw it, how I felt it. “I didn’t let his head hit the ground. I let him lay over my lap as I pressed my hand over his. He said, ‘It’s okay. It’s okay,’ but he couldn’t say it clearly. Blood came out of his mouth. He spit up blood. Threw it up. Choked on it. Someone called the police, and he looked at me with wild eyes. They danced. Back and forth, looking past me at the stars in the sky. And he touched my neck. I think he missed my face. He touched my neck, his thumb grazing my throat as he—.” 

Jason stood behind her, crossing his arms. “That’s not what she wants to know. She needs a description, Bruce. Let her do her job. Let her find him, so you won’t,” Jason replied. 

“Why were you in the alley?” Detective O’Halloran asked. 

“It was his birthday. He wanted to open up a clinic for single mothers. I thought it was a great idea, so we went to scope out the abandoned building near the theater… And he wanted to come down Crime Alley where we met—. Why? Do you think it was my fault?” I asked. “It probably was my fault.” I ran a hand through my hair. 

“Mr. Wayne, it wasn’t your fault. We’re just sifting through the details. Did your assailant say anything or take anything from either of you?” Detective O’Halloran questioned. 

“No. He didn’t—. He didn’t take anything. And I told you I didn’t hear anything. I saw the gun, and I saw Jason jump between us. The gun went off before Jason jumped in front of us. I remember that because I tensed up. My shoulders were up before Jason could step in front of me,” I answered. 

“Old habits die hard. Can’t say I’m sorry for doing it—.” 

I shook my head. “It isn’t how you remember—?”

“It is. I just—. I’m distracted,” I whispered. Jason told me he jumped over Sheila to shield her from the blast. He was too small to cover her completely. She died anyway. I knew he felt guilty about it. He couldn’t protect her in those last few moments. So, he must’ve believed he atoned for that failure by saving me. I didn’t want to be saved. I wanted Jason to live a full life. He lived half a life, and he died holding my hand. His cold little hand going limp in mine will haunt me forever.

How long have you been creating works in fandom spaces? How long have you been active in the SM fandom?

Sailor Moon is the only fandom I've ever written for. While it might be something of a stretch to call myself 'active', I've been dabbling on and off since the early 2000s.

What type(s) of creative works do you usually make? (fanfics, digital art, cosplay)

Fanfic only. I can't draw to save my life, and the only character I dress up as (unintentionally) is Captain Sweatpants.

What do you enjoy about creating for the SM fandom?

I've always loved writing, but I adore the people I've met in the Sailor Moon fandom. Getting to know fellow writers/creators has deepened my love for the characters and inspired me in so many ways. It's a great fandom for collaboration and support.

Are you strictly UsaMamo or do you create for other pairings as well?

I have a couple 'gen fic' one-shots, but my brain generally defaults to UsaMamo content.

What inspires you to create works for Usagi and Mamoru?

I'm not really sure why I always default to these two, but I think there's a 10 year old version of me still crying out for all the UsaMamo content I didn't get from canon. That breakup arc left deep, emotional scars. Each angst fic is me reliving the trauma. Each fluff fic is me trying to heal. 😂

Do you tend to work on multiple projects (WIPs) simultaneously or try to finish one at a time?

Yes. Yes.

Do you prefer large projects (chaptered fics, webtoons/zines, highly detailed art) or small projects (one-shots or simple art)?

If we're talking about writing, then I prefer one-shots, tyvm. My tiny peanut brain gets lost in the intricate maze that is longfic.

As for reading, anything goes!

Are there any common themes, situations, tropes, or mediums in your work?

I'm not really a trope writer, so my pieces can be pretty random. I often strive to imbue a sense of emotional realism into my writing, to 'ground' the content in a way that canon often chose not to.

Is there anything you haven’t explored artistically and would like to try?

I'd like to write and direct an old-timey Sailor Moon radio drama, but something tells me my Moonie friends would refuse to perform it live. Thus my dream is dashed.

i feel like i did him SO dirty bc he was the character i was most excited for and knew right away i was making an oc to ship with

his whole story in the trailblaze mission hit me like i truck like. i sobbed multiple times and it was so agonizing because i got SPOILED for the 2.1 quest bc genshit/hsr twt is horrendous and were posting CONSTANTLY about 'oh look here's his broken cornerstone and this text message that said he may or may not be alive' so i was so fucking anxious leading up to the actual quest

but at the same time i was in a different fandom space at the time (probably still sobbing over neuvi/wetrabbit........ or wait no it was otto i think) i was so emotionally invested but also. not at the same time jfdsklfds

like aster/pollux has got to be one of my most complex characters ive made:

was raised in an annihilation gang sub-faction of halovians and probably committed wayyyy to many war crimes, including ravaging entire planets into Nothing

has some sort of epiphany that causes them to defect from the annihilation gang; not out of guilt but they were rabidly falling into ix's shadow and was just like, 'nothing matters, whats the point of living to destroy or to destroy to live'

they are pulled out of the void by a self annihilator/doctor of chaos, the 'real' aster. who happens to be a victim of a civilization that was decimated by the annihilation gang, the sole survivor that will be remembered by none

i can't even describe aster & pollux relationship; its completely undefinable. they are two nobodies who would travel the universe and no one will remember them.... but its ok bc they have each other.

aster eventually dies, loosing the fight against ix's shadow. and pollux is about to be completely swallowed by the void, you would think that theyre like 'oh no i cant be alone i dont want to be alone the only person that knows me is gone and nothing else matters' but theyre actually just experiencing the overwhelming feeling 'they cant die, they deserve to be remembered by anyone and everyone this wonderful human being CANNOT be remembered by just me'

and thats when they are gazed upon by fuili, becoming an emanator of remembrance: all because they wanted to keep the memory of their dead friend alive

thus pollux takes on the identity of 'aster' becoming their friend, its their way of keeping aster 'alive' and honoring their memory: with a goal of interaction with as many people as possible so that aster will be remembered by them.

the guardian of recollection's purpose to preserve ALL memory of the universe while aster's purpose is to keep the memory of ONE person alive

i guess bc aster is so developed on her own w/o the need to attach her to a canon character romance for a good chunk of her development. i'd say that acheron and the astral express have the BIGGEST influence on aster

like i love wetrabbit and silvanus so much but. silvie is much more of a personal character to me, she still has complex character traits but a lot of her development is fueled by nearly the entire fontaine cast and that allowed me to think more abt her close relationships with the cast & especially neuvi. so i get more ship content

I don’t advertise often, if at all (mainly because I don’t like pushing things down people’s throats), but I figure since I have all this art of the “unsafe” kind that I can’t post here, that I would let everyone know about it. Those who are interested can check it out — it is at your own discretion.

With the possibility of Pillowfort and Inkblot going under and Twitter…X…whatever….sinking rapidly (I jumped ship once that megalomaniac bought it), there are very few spaces left to show “unsafe” work (by unsafe I’m talking about work of the birthday suit kind, plus any activities enjoyed in said birthday suit). Most artists have opened up a Patreon for this kind of thing, which is smart…except Patreon has a habit of screwing artists over also so…I opened up a Buy Me a Coffee instead 😂 It appealed to me due to the flexibility of choosing to do either donations or memberships, and since I’m not active online very much because life, I can’t justify memberships at the moment. If anyone likes my stuff enough where they would like to be members let me know and I’ll consider it.

Art After Dark and SubscribeStar is where my uncensored stuff resides (things I don’t even put on on my website because of the lack of age-controls) and it allows you access for a $5-10 monthly donation. Every little bit helps and since things in life have been happening that have depleted my resources to an extent, your support is greatly appreciated, but definitely not obligated. Right now I create work for the two fandoms I love, but we’ll see where this goes in the future. I’m flirting with the idea of $5 donations because I have a lot of WIPs I would like to share yet the AI terminator bots are trying to kill us all (which makes for an unfortunate situation), but for the reasons stated in the above paragraph I haven’t taken this step yet. To navigate this more hostile artistic landscape has been a challenge, especially since you can sense the pitchforks out in the distance and there are very few places online now that allow for this kind of work to flourish.

I have a lot more projects down the pipeline and I’ll probably will talk about them more in my donation page than I will here. So for all those who like (and lurk 😏), this is just a small heads up on what’s been happening. Hope to see everyone around soon!

i absolutely adore the way you color and shade. your drawings honestly feel like a drawing in a sketchbook where ur like "hm maybe i should add markers/colored pencil to this" AND THEN THE DRAWING TURNS OUT LOOKING MAJESTIC. the way you draw is so round, which 1) makes your drawings look SO CUTE and 2) makes it feel like your drawings would squeak like those dog toys (which is good!! your art evokes positive emotions!!!!)

2010-2019: My Little Pony: FIM

Was definitely my favorite show. I still love that show sm. Definitely has the most active fan base of them all. Making art for this show definitely inspired me to be the artist i am now. -- This show rased me, and raised me good. The older fandom is questionable, there's definitely some generational trama given to us Gen Z by them, but it was a very pro-lgbt space, and i loved this so sm.

Favorite character then: Fluttershy / Now: Trixie

2017-2021: DuckTales!! (Woo-hoo)

Always kinned Louie, and always will. I mean hell, i named my first MLP OC after Lena!! -- I really loved the episodes Quack Pack and GlomTales! (the latter if wich being because is was A. it Louie centered episode, and B. he proved to his mother that his scamming isn't all bad which i was proud of him for). I think i loved him sm just bc, well one, my favorite color has always been green, but two he's so relatable. Like the episode where he wasn't so sure and up to the idea of Della suddenly coming back and being his mom when he'd never even spoke to her once was just so good. Now i can look back and see how it was relatable, but even then when i didn't know what ik now i found him to be the most logical person in that situation.

2019-2023: The Owl House

When MLP ended, this was the show that came in and swooped me up. As of writing, the shows only been officially over for about an hour. And while yes, DuckTales was there when MLP ended, it still definitely made me feel like something was missing. It did take about a season for me to realize TOH was filling that feeling but it got there. This show has probably effected me about as much as MLP. Like through the episode “Lost in Language”, apon watching some reviews and theories on the episode, i found out Luz was bisexual. At the time i hadn't really heard the term b4, but only about a day of finding it out, i was already comfortable going by it! It just fit too well!! I also got my preferred name/s from Emira and Edric!! Sigh, i could write sm about TOH since it literally just ended, but i don't want to be here all day.

Favorite character then: Hunter, Now: The Collector. // Kinnie: Edric and Emira all the way, baby.

HEY OMG IT'S BEEN A WHILE

First of all: THANK YOU SO MUCH DARLING SFJJSKAKC. Second of all: I have sum s/i's but not all of them are very developed lol.

Well, I think the most obvious one (since this is my first s/i ever) is the undertale one, Maxwell. (He/they)

Their story isn't finished yet but what I can say ab them is that they is a half human/half monster (ghost), they don't really look like it tho. Just a lil human hanging around the underground and happened to be the love of a skeleton's life LOL.

He was born in the underground, his father fell into the underground and fell in love with Maxwell's mom. As it was a very uncommon thing, the kids didn't really liked hanging out or talking to Maxwell on school, except sans, wich led to their friendship, and later on, their marriage (ops, spoiler).

The other one is Steven universe's one, wich is also on the top 3. Azula. (He/they)

He is a human, most important, Connie's best friend from school, and she presents Steven to him.

As he lives in beach city too, it is a lot easier for them to hang out whenever they want, so they spend most of their time together.

Unlikely Connie, Azula already has some judo training ans knows a little bit of self defense, so when they start classes with pearl it's a lot smoother.

After Steven and the gems come back to earth, Steven comes to Azula and tells this story of how much he missed them and how much he liked them, and that's when it all started <3 I personally find this very cute.

And I couldn't not talk ab Lorelay, or just Lore, from Lord of the rings. (He/they)

His family is a good mix of dwarves and hobbits and elves and humans, so we can say he has the best of every world. Despite all those different races (from his dad's part) he is half elf (from his mother's side).

He was born in Imladris, but not much after that his family moved to mirkwood, as his mother is distantly related to Thranduil, they decided to live there.

At some point, Lorelay and Legolas met and became besties instantly, wich later on became one of the reasons for him to be a recruit for soldier training.

Lorelay met Gandalf during a walk on the forest and, not too much after ending his lessons, he decided to travel around with Gandalf.

In one of those travels, he met Aragorn and , again, became deeply connected to him. They became inseparable, so Lore decided to leave Gandalf alone for a little bit and start being a pain in Aragorn's ass instead.

The two are in love, your honour, but they won't admit it for their own sake. Only after the Healms Deep battle, where Lorelay got seriously injured, Aragorn made the first move.

But just when he became king of Gondor, and they decided it was time for it, they got married.

Ofc there's a lot more lore and info ab them but if I put everything in here this post wouldn't have an end. Anyways...

I was actually talking about a whole new fic. The idea of ghost face woke something in me to be honest cuz honestly I haven't seen many of them and they're something rare for me beside the usual omega verse fics (no offence to those, I love them but I feel like they're so many and a little bit overrated)

I thought about the ghost face to be only a costume and for the break-in plot to be only their way to hide their identity (I have a problem when men have something on their face while doing it(especially those nerdy glasses🛐) ) and for the party party yea plot it can be a costume but also to be their personality like in that one inferno fic where they are different creatures at a party (sorry I forgot the name😔)

You can take your sweet time, don't have to rush this ill be glad to read it even at the middle of next summer if it's written by you really

okay so i got it right, i just wanted to make sure. i think they’re popular in other fandoms but not in the nct one which was so weird for me because you can come up with so many combination of them it’s such a fun concept for this season but i haven’t seen any, at least on tumblr ���� (i have mixed feelings with omegaverse that’s why this one i have in mind would be the first one i do)

my brain is already imagining thing. like imagine if she decided to stay at home after they repeatedly asked her to go to a party (an halloween one if i can do it in time or just a party) and so they decide to break-in with the costume on. since it’s two of them i can’t make it something discussed before but they do it because they saw something on her internet search or she confessed a kink while drunk and so they decide to bring the fantasy to live and there would be so much teasing once she finds out who’s under the mask. (don’t worry here it’s a safe space i have a problem with it too (and i agree with the glasses too)) okay but now that you talked about glasses idk why i thought about jisung 😭 maybe he could be the shy friend who would never do something like this but jeno (or someone else idk) convinces him that it’s fine and the mc will be fine with it??? same, i started on wattpad (tbh i was also on two other sites, one is italian and i don’t remember the name of the other) but tumblr has been my favorite for the last few years before it started sabotaging me*, posting a fic it’s like a battle and i’m tired to do it everytime. ao3 doesn’t have an algorithm but for me it’s paradise because if you search for something you WILL find it. the only tags you can use here are the basic smut, fluff and angst one. i wanted to make a post to try to explain how ao3 works but then i never did. anyway here’s an useful link with the main answer about how it works and how to navigate the site, maybe it will help!
