Someone commented it as "brain to mouth waterslide" behavior and I could not agree more. His smooth brain lets those thoughts slide off faster.

this flashback was really emotional cause through this we got to know how dedicated he is to volleyball and how he changed himself to be where he is now. all because iwaizumi gave him a head butt and helped him understand the meaning of the team.

his path to greatness is paved with trials, where every step forward is a battle against self-doubt and great rivals. yet, with unwavering determination and with the help of iwaizumi, he became great.

I’m sorry but just imagine Art the Clown with a person/partner who is neurodivergent and usually ALWAYS hyperactive and energetic.

Like, when he pops into their house randomly for fun to visit them because they’ve established some sort of weird alliance through unsettling glances and slow blinking, they’re always pinging and bouncing around the room, going 90 to nothing. And then he decides to stay the night one time and BOOM he witnesses a random burnout/exhaustion episode and just thinks his silly person is BROKEN.

Luffy realising he can officiate marriages and being asked by Shanks to officiate the shuggy marriage. See the vision. When asked who objects, both Luffy and Buggy raise their hands and Benn(best man) and Shanks have to lower them down and beg Luffy to proceed. He spends the entire ceremony insulting Buggy.

I've always thought Rayleigh would be the one officiating the wedding and Luffy could be sort of like a best man (or whatever important title in a wedding idk), but fundamentally he'd have the same reaction as here. BUT Luffy being the one to officiate it is even more hilarious. Shanks would be the only one excited about this decision, actually (it's the one thing Buggy has let him choose and now he regrets it). And when asked who objects he'd raise his hand like 100% seriously and I think Nami would have to literally go up there to hit him so he stops acting like a jerk. HOWEVER I'm a real fan of "Luffy and Buggy end up getting along but Buggy is a bit too done with his attitude" so another concept for this is Luffy being all excited and joking while Buggy is seriously rethinking all of this. In both situations, Shanks' mind is definitely not there and he's just thinking about the honeymoon already.
