Gotta love how Zag's love interests are 1) The punisher of jealousy and oathbreakers, 2) Peaceful Death, and 3) Cute gorgon head maid who's a total sweetheart

While Mel's (possible) love interests are 1) Divine Retribution, punisher of hubris, 2) Doom (feared and hated by all mankind), 3) Strife (Greek pantheon's #1 troublemaker), and 4) Two mortals whose whole life story is a cautionary tale about hubris.

All the while unlike Zag, Mel's implied to have never had a romantic relationship before as an adult, based on her Aphrodite boon dialogues (to me, her and Icarus screams "childhood puppy love", which doesn't actually count as true relationship experience).

Girlie I think you need to get therapy or get laid. Preferably both. And soon.

I do think it's cute that at least between Meg/Than and Nem/Moros, both women are deliverers of punishment, while both men are embodiments of concepts that will inevitably arrive at the end of mortal lives. Dusa and Icarus + Arachne also fit the mold of "sweetheart dealing with power dynamics issues" (prince/servant vs. goddess/mortal, in Arachne's case a mortal maligned by gods).

Zagreus and Melinoë may have never known each other, but they somehow have the exact same bisexual taste, which is very important to me.

Also proof that they're DEFINITELY Persephone's children: got their mother's taste for tall big tiddy goths lmao.

You go home, tired, confused, a tad mad, hoping for a quiet evening. Suddenly you notice how whenever you pass a phone it rings.

Your phone rings.

You get in the car, your hand close to the gun you still have, no answers, just endless list of questions once again.

You end up in front of a polite-looking man, he's suit is brand-new, his hair is neatly combed, his umbrella is more for decoration - he's nothing like a tired you in your old jacket, jeans that still have stains from today's messy chase.

The man all but scans you, smiles (sincere, but sly - oh, you know that look), offers you a sit. And a pain medication for your head. And talks about the case you (Sherlock) solved today.

He looks you in the eyes and is so very polite, but you feel like that's a snake in front of you.

"I heard that Sherlock Holmes helped you today. And a couple of other days."

Oh God, that's gonna go really well or really, really bad and perhaps bloody.

when i didnt like a girl character with guy characters and then going 'clearly we dont need that' my response was originally getting the Aromantic definiton and going 'YEAH THATS MY GIRLS!!! AROMANTIC!' me now: no.... no theyre just lesbians.

So I've seen some comments about how once Charlie and Vaggie patch up their relationship, Vaggie will have to deal with "fell from heaven" and other angel-related pickup lines from Charlie, but honestly that might be giving Charlie too much credit. I love her, but I'm not sure she could manage to get through pickup lines like that, even with her own girlfriend she's been with for years. She's precious and sweet and loving, but I do not have full faith in her ability to flirt coherently, especially if she's actively trying to do it.

But you know what I'd love to see? Angel teasingly throwing those lines at Vaggie. Not with any kind of flirty intent (obviously, he's gay and she's a lesbian in a very committed relationship), but as his way of casually showing her he still cares about her even knowing the truth about her past. Accompanied by Vaggie pretending to be pissed, but actually knowing what he's trying to say and appreciating it. Him tossing angel-related pickup lines at her every few days and her insincerely telling him to shut the fuck up would be so good, and a great way for his care and support to show through within the bounds of their existing dynamic.
