Pac knows that hes hopelessly in love with Fit. He even talks about it with people he trusts the most. And he knows that Fit is flirting with him. But he also had crippling low self esteem and horrible self worth issues so he cant believe that Fit really means the flirting. Because why would someone like Fit like him like that? It has to be just a joke to Fit right? But sometimes he allows himself to hope even though he knows that it will just hurt him in the end. And maybe there is a tiny chance he actually feels the same? But Pac is also scared. Scared of being hurt, scared of scaring Fit off and scared of losing Fit like he loses everyone else.

Fit also knows deep down that he is absolutely and irrevocably in love with Pac. But he is not ready to even fully admit it to himself yet. And maybe deep down he knows that Pac feels the same but if he totally lets that thought in he might have a panic attack. He doesnt know how to do this. Any of this. He is still struggeling with trusting people with basic things. And there are so many reasons why he cant do this. He has a mission, he needs to protect his son and he could not live with himself if he got Pac into his mess and was the reason Pac got hurt. He is so scared of fucking things up in one was or another. And then there is also the internalized homophobia part of course.

This. This. This entire conversation with Morrigan actually makes me want to sob. She and my Tabris always becomes close friends over the course of DAO; that, paired with the fact that my Tabris always romances Alistair, makes everything about this hurt so much more when you take DAO's ending into account.

Her confusion over why my Tabris didn't send her away. Why she didn't abandon her after they learned of Flemeth's plans. Why Tabris went out of her way to slay Flemeth and bring her the true grimoire. She asks Tabris why, and is baffled when the answer is, "I did it because I'm your friend," as if it's that simple.

The way Morrigan looks at the warden, the way her voice cracks when she says, "I want you to know that while I may not always prove... worthy... of your friendship, I will always value it."

She knows how this will end; Flemeth sent her with the wardens with the end goal of stopping the blight and obtaining the old god soul through the dark ritual. Morrigan knows that Alistair and Tabris are the only Grey Wardens here, and assuming they don't find more, one of them will have to die defeating the archdemon unless they agree to do the dark ritual.

With that context, her asking Alistair, "And what if a Grey Warden has forced to choose between the Warden he loved and ending the Blight? What should his choice be?" suddenly has so much subtext weaved through the words that I'm gonna start foaming at the mouth. She's practically telling Alistair that a warden has to die. She's scrutinizing his reaction to find any hint that suggests he would agree to the dark ritual in order to save himself and the woman he loves. And when he doesn't choose, she has her answer.

Morrigan made comments to Tabris about him, almost hopeful that their relationship was just a physical thing between them and not actually riddled with feelings... and then gives disapproval when Tabris says she loves him.

She doesn't want the warden to die; hell, she doesn't want Alistair to die, either; whether because she does actually care about him or because she knows it'll break her friend's heart if she loses him, or both!

Things would be so much easier if the only two Grey Wardens left to defeat the blight didn't fall in love, wouldn't they, Morrigan?

She knows that in the end, no matter the outcome, she will lose the woman she called sister and it's devastating.

Morrigan, who has never known true friendship. Who grew up isolated in the woods with an abusive mother and terrible implications for her future. Who discovered said mother planned to take over her body just as she did with her other daughters. Who doesn't understand kindness as it was rarely given to her without a catch. Who isolates herself from the others in camp. Who finally has a companion she cares about... and in the end, if her plan works and the dark ritual is completed, she'll end up pregnant and alone and wearing Tabris' resentment like a tender wound on her heart.

Or Tabris will reject the ritual, and will die to the archdemon.

Or her lover will.

I just- the dynamic between the warden, romanced Alistair, and Morrigan is so good and painful and rich that I'm gnawing on furniture as we speak.

I mean it when I say that they’re literally the sole reason I watched this show in the first place. I saw a billion TikTok edits of them & was like “Idek these characters I need to watch this show and see what’s going on over there.”

And like, it’s a fun show, I’m not saying it isn’t, but first responder shows are a dime a dozen. There are other shows that have queer characters and found family and wild adventures. Granted, they don’t have Buck & his bi arc, but I’d still read fanfics to get my Evan Buckley fix lol.

I don’t need them right now, I’m so down for the slow burn, will-they-won’t-they & the pining & the yearning & the build up and the GOOD foundation. I want to see Eddie figuring himself out and dealing with his repression and figuring out he’s queer (& Demi, pls God. I hope if I just say it enough, I can will it into existence somehow) before anything happens with the two of them, but if they take definitive steps to have one of them like, marry someone else or something, I think I’m gonna head out. On a different note, I started watching Pit Babe 🙈

I never had any intention of watching it. People seemed to be having fun with it but it just wasn't for me. I did enjoy Alanjeff in all of the gifs but I was happy to enjoy them through gifs only.

I got curious about it specifically because I liked Alanjeff in the Pit Babe gifs. Proceeded to fall in love with Sailubpon's chemistry for real. Craved more of them. Went out to look for an Alanjeff supercut. Sort of found one? But with an added music track? Watched it in its entirety and kind of wanted to make my own. You know, just skip through the episodes to their parts and cut 'em out and smoosh 'em all together for my personalised viewing pleasure. Without actually watching the show.

Started episode 1. Didn't immediately skip ahead. Got curious. Realised it's actually- it's actually kind of fun to watch? 🙈 Proceeded to watch the entire first episode, plus another two before having to go to bed 🤡

Gonna continue now. At this rate, I might hilariously end up finishing this show before a bunch of other shows I have started and have yet to finish lol

edit: i forgot to describe what they looked like so know that ravenstan had come out of the house because his mom told him to say hi to the neighbors and help them with boxes and stuff, say hi to their son, etc.

i think his hair is shoulder length, but its in a lil ponytail, he's in randy's gigantic black sabbath t-shirt, probably has a gigantic edgy boy temp tattoo of a skull or a snake on his neck, smh, little like hot wheels, boy section of target-esqe stickers all over his face and arms, little other edgy elementary school boy marker tattoos on his arms because he literally has always been a rockstar.

meanwhile, jersey, in canon ncu baby kyle fashion, is wearing his gigantic kyle signature orange coat and green ushanka IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER because he is self conscious and sheila bought both on sale at the mall during summer when the winter stuff is all half up because she's a thrifty queen and wants him to get wear out of them and break them in...smh.

so he is sweating like hell and just wants to get his fresca open, which is very vintage and still comes in the bottle.

and jersey is just SHOOK because that was, in fact, criminally insane, but also...kinda cool? and an oddly touching gesture because he could have just handed the bottle back or said go fuck yourself, new kid! because he didn't give a shit about this kid from next door and his parents were both busy...but wanted kyle to have his little drinky poo so bad that he literally busted his lip open turning into a can-opener for ky...and did the cutest, weirdest most awkward hand-sign ever.

tldr; it was brave and reckless and boyish and radiant. and kyle, who usually is highly disgusted by the germs of other people...finds that brings the lip of the fresca bottle to his with ease, sips his drink, which tastes like victory and probably a bit like cinnamon red hots, watches his weirdo neighbor give him the wink peace sign finger gun combo and is so weirdly endeared by this that he...

gives stan a rare kyle smile and even rarer kyle laugh. :’)

and this is so glorious and gorgeous to ravenstan that he literally cannot breathe, his heart is pounding in his chest, he is fkn shaking, goes to say something and immediately THROWS UP ALL OVER KYLE AND PASSES OUT. skhdlksahdsh HEEEEELP NO.

but yeah...that's how dad and dad met. please note that in canon ncu fashion ravenstan followed jersey around like a lovesick puppy, ignoring all of the kids trying to get his attention and play with him, desperate for kyle to acknowledge his existence for literally five seconds or accept his offer of being super best friends...

all the while, jerseykyle is trying to get away from him because he doesn't like other people, doesn't want to be friends, just wants to be left alone and be alone skhdld and is like weird kid with the giant eyeballs PLEASE FUCK OFF ( this does make stan fall more in love with him, stan i need you to go to therapy for the type of guys u like ) and this apathy and disinterest continues until...

stan takes the stark's pond hockey puck for him.

and suddenly, kyle's cold dead heart starts beating again, he sees ravenstan in the hospital recovering from slicing his face and mouth open again, who smiles so hard he RIPS his stitches open again, smh and from that moment on, they are Super Best Friends.

I want idiot 1 to be absolutely head over heels for clueless idiot 2. I want idiot 1 to get lost in thought about how much they love 2, I want 1 and 2 to sit together watching a movie and when 1 looks at 2's face they subconsciously lean in for a kiss they only just manage to pull themselves back from at the last second. I want 2 to say something offhanded that makes 1 so flustered they have to hide their face to disguise the blushing, I want 1 and 2 to be best friends, but 1 gives lingering touches and stares that betray a much deeper adoration. I want 1's affections and devotion to be so obvious to anyone outside the 'friendship' that everyone is dumbfounded that 2 hasn't noticed yet. I want total commitment, a love that makes them a better and happier person, an unspoken 'I'll do anything to make you happy, even if that means I can't have you'.
