A blast from the past 🚀

I wanna do some more fun stuff in this little community we've got going on. And since the guys aren't really doing anything currently, why don't we go back in time and reminisce the old times. A blast from the past, if you will.

Maybe this can be a weekly thing, where we all look at an old video and can all be giddy together and discuss things that don't matter to anybody else in the world. We can look at interviews, clips from live shows, music videos, and anything else you find.

I'll start it off this week, any hopefully others vibe with this enough to submit things for future posts. Let's go for a short but classic one....

Alex interviewing Jack for teen.com. It was uploaded to YouTube by somebody back in 2009. They're still so young here, it's adorable. It's weird to think they're younger here than I am now. Existential crisis incoming.

Anyway, I just have a few things to say:

Jack's giggles. I cannot. Adorable. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. All I aspire to be is him.

Alex's struggle to come up with the date question. Why so many words for such a simple question 🤣 this is the same man who writes these amazing thought provoking lyrics.

Same bed, anyone????

Jack lying about being staff manager. Who are you trying to look cool for?

Alex calling him out 🤣

Also, Alex knowing that tune was the Transformers theme song. That man knew. And he wasn't going to let that fly.

And something for my quote book.... hmm.... it's gotta be the classic one, right? The highlight they already picked out:

"I'm not makeup ready."

I think that's it for me right now. Really hoping others will want to interact with this. Otherwise it's just me putting my thoughts out to the universe, which sounds nice as well 😊

oh for sure, and like lisa and jack are friends as well i think so if nothing else i can’t imagine him going behind her back like that, so to speak

it kind of makes me chuckle when people talk about g&c as though it were written by straight men who can’t actually relate to it when in reality there’s probably like an 80% chance that at least half the band is queer

like i know alex is back with lisa but sometimes it's hard not to think that he's with both of them??? he kind of treats them the same way so like either lisa is incredibly patient or maybe he's with both of them

nah bc this is exactly it, like i always feel like there never would’ve been a question of whether they dated if they were a straight couple. right from when the band started, there would’ve been speculation that they were together/wanted to be together, so why does the fact that they’re both men cause it to be met with skepticism??
