I’m Gonna Be (500 miles) is honestly just such a pure, solid good song. The lyrics are cute af and actually resemble a long-term committed and happy relationship and to top it all off you can scream ‘DAHDADADA’ and the top of your lungs in a pub and someone will scream it back to you.

Big fan of those swinging upbeat Real Oldies songs that have lyrics that seem to be just vaguely about something like "me and my darling have our differences but we love each other all the same" but then you find a slang dictionary from that specific era and start translating the song and it's like

"I love my girlfriend even though she's a huge slut, yeah call me a cuckhold I don't care, I love her anyway. Yeah I put up with her but she puts up with me too, she's fucking everyone on the street and I'm on heroin."

basically Jim's point of origin was a monster of the week game that's been going on for like 9 years or something stupid, and it's that. this whole blog was me exploring one era of his backstory lol. it's the "true" timeline, jaxjim was always doomed to fail from the start, the other ones were because we made ourselves so sad we rotated "but what if it worked out" to cope. like technically there is more but because of the extensive and jumbled nature that all that writing exists in atm its inaccessible outside to the players. i dont think i ever planned to post that piece that i wrote as the bridge between the two but katz insisted
