I love how the Envy chapter has Maka, the one who always tries to be perfect, the one who's optimistic, finally breaks down when her insecurities about Soul are prodded, that she doubted Soul liked her enough as a partner and he deserves better because she can't understand music, and believes it will be the thing that takes him away from her.

And then Soul, who's always believed he'd never amount to anything and thus never tries hard enough, the one's always pessimistic, didn't succumb to the effects of the book because he's finally certain about what Maka truly means to him; Maka isn't just an escape from music, she's the inspiration of his own music.

She is his muse.

I hate when a character in a piece of media I’ve loved for so,so long just gets reduced to “UWU WHO SHOULD I SHIP THEM WITH?!?! OwO SHIP SHIP SHIP” and people forget just how great of a character they are and you can’t find anything about them except people arguing about who they should kiss. They never get appreciated for being who they are.

i love that maka's a super black-and-white thinker. she's very concerned with morals and how the world around her fits into her own personal viewpoints. in a person who views one parent so highly and the other as the lowest of the low, there's probably some forcing of those ideals when things dont fit into the binary of good vs evil she's built for herself. the thought processes that make her disregard anything out of character and deny it. spirit is a worthless cheater, always. mom is an inspiring strong woman, always. ignore any bitter feelings that she isnt with you, assume the worst in your father no matter what. save humans, kill kishins and witches. honestly its no wonder she was such a good student of shinigami's dwma. it makes sense that someone who was born in death city and had the exposure to moral issues maka did at a young age would grow up to have such intensely narrow views.

Silly little Rabbit Hole inspired Maka pin up. I love her sm guys. My fiancée gave the idea of the Rabbit Hole music video, but it's Maka, and the pole is Soul, so I made this.

Reminder that it's canon that Kim is under the impression that Soul is in love with Maka in Drama CD 06, flat out saying that he didn't need the spell to seem like it (She also thought that Maka and Soul were perfectly in tune so she seemed to be under the impression that they're in love with each other in general but just too stupid to realize it)
