Hello. I absolutely love your Fairy Tail head-canons, especially about demon slayer Gray. Feel free to take or leave these little ideas. Always love when you post <3

Imagine Team Natsu has to rent a vehicle or something and they require actual legal paperwork like a birth certificate and address or something like that (more than just “guild business! Gonna need this!”). Lucy doesn’t want to rent it because there is no way she’s going to be responsible for the inevitable damage. Erza, being the leader and a good friend volunteers. A few minutes later she comes back out, puzzled.

Erza: “why would they need a birth certificate? Shouldn’t me being present be proof enough of my existence?”

Gray starts snickering in the background. Natsu goes in next but comes out even earlier than Erza, cause at least Erza had a probably legal address at Fairy Hills, Natsu on the other hand lives in a house in the woods.

By the time Wendy goes in the receptionist is exasperated. “Yes I understand you are with Fairy Tail but that isn’t until page three of the paper work. None of you have made it past the first page.”

Gray finds this all very amusing.

Lucy: “Since you find it so amusing why don’t you go register, Gray!?”

Gray: mutters something

Natsu: “What do you mean you’re legally dead?!”

Cause you know, Ur just found a kid (the only survivor) and just decided to keep him. Oh, no official rescue crews didn’t show up until two days later? My kid now :)

The search and rescue teams never found any survivors in Gray’s old town so everyone was pronounced dead. The magic council or whoever is in charge of that stuff is also disorganized enough that no one realized that Gray Fullbuster is both a famous wizard and supposedly dead. So, just, Gray technically being considered legally dead the entire time he was at Fairy Tail.

Also, the slayers all going out on a job together(the dragon slayers had to drag Gray). The job turns out to be a trap (surprise!) and the floor just opens up revealing a giant vehicle.

Dark mage: “Ha-ha! I have bested the dragon slayer! The most powerful mages-“spots Gray just chilling, perfectly fine and not motion sick. “what are you doing?” Cause the guy was planning to capture dragon slayer, not whatever a demon slayer was (the dark mage didn’t even know demon slayers were a thing). Gray defeats the dark mage but holds it over Natsu’s head for a week.

After that anytime a large group of dragon slayers takes a job together they take Gray along for “extra security during transportation” or just extra security in general.

I also head-canon that each type of slayer magic has its own unique weakness. Dragon slayers get severely motion sick. God slayers are claustrophobic. Demon slayers cannot handle sweets. If Gray gets even a whiff of cake or any other dessert his gag reflex acts up and he gets really nauseous and other stuff like that. He of course hid it at first (he was afraid Erza would disown him) but eventually everyone learned about the weakness of demon slayers. Natsu teases him about it but never pushes it too far to the point of accidentally making Gray really sick.

Anyways, sorry for the long ask. Feel free to expand on anything. Always love some good slayer bonding head-canons and just Fairy Tail head-canons in general. <3

Oh, you have no idea how often ive though about Gray being legally dead, my personal favorite scenario is him trying to fix it and prove himself alive but cant

“How the fuck would i know my social security number??? i was eight years old! i had no reason to know!!!”

There was no dna or finger-print records of him or his family so he couldn’t prove it that way either. Apparently, declaring someone born or dead is easier than someone ‘resurrected’. To the law Gray of Isvan is dead and although Gray of Fiore bares similarities, they are two different people.

But ALSO to the law Gray of Fiore doesnt exist bc he has no birth certificate. And while hes adamant, he has no real proof beyond his word he is Gray Fullbuster of Isvan.

So basically, According to the law, Both Gray Fullbuster of Isvan and Fiore are dead and never existed, respectively.

tbh this sounds like an identity crisis waiting to happen, but what else is new with him

Erza probably tried to fix it after she was told bc she legally didnt exist for a minute either (never was filed as a real person, she was able to file for a late birth certificate on account that she wasnt claiming to be a ‘separate’ person and also Makarov did it for her) (dont ask why he didnt for Gray, i like plot holes). But quickly realized their situations were very different, him waiting over a decade to check in as a survivor with the proper authorities definitely weakened his case considering he was running around free before he decided he needed a birth certificate.

But hey, as long as he doesn’t need to rent something, or get a license or id, or work somewhere beyond Fairy Tail, or get married, or, god forbid, die again, he should be fine!

i wonder if he would be considered a ‘john doe’ if he actually died again since they have ‘no’ birth records

i love everything to do with the ‘dragon slayers + gray’ dynamic

‘Extra security’ just turns into Gray babysitting a bunch of rambunctious dragons for hours. seriously, get this guy a reward for how he hasnt killed or maimed any of them yet.

Imagine them trying to convince Gray to walk to their destination instead of taking the train

“Its not that far!!” “its fucking 5 hours by train, How long do you think itll take to walk? Why would even you pick this job if you knew how long the ride would be??” … “nobody looked..” “are you actually serious.” … “oh my fucking god”

and thats the story of how one Demon slayer ended up having to babysit 4 very pitiful looking Fairy Tail Dragon slayers on a train. Dude had to drag them off it once it stopped too.

His side career of ‘Dragon Slayer Babysitter’ only gets harder when they realize holy shit! cold compresses can help nausea! and what do they have? a walking cold compress.

Taking a train trip with them just means second hand nausea AND embarrassment, and absolutely no personal space. A dream come true.

At least he gets to hold it over their heads

Tbh i like the irony of Dragon Slayers being motion sick because, yk, dragons can fly, so my hc for side effects for God Slayers and Demon Slayers were along the same lines

God Slayers being wide open space or flying since Gods are like the epitome of freedom? all knowing and have complete reign over everything, But claustrophobia works so much better for that same reason. It would cause extreme panic and rash decisions

And Demon Slayers was the dark because demons are supposed to be these evil creatures who thrive in the dark n stuff? basically it would send a Demon Slayer into a paranoid spiral.

But sweets being a weakness instead is such a silly thing that im gonna take it and run

Gray never cared for sweets in the first place, gave him a stomachache, but now he has to walk away from Erza mid conversation if she decides to indulge, which is almost everyday. She was absolutely heartbroken and devastated when the weakness was revealed, it was such a dramatic reaction one wouod think she was the one with the new weakness

When Gray pokes fun at Natsus motion sickness he’ll go on about how Gray is gonna have the lamest parties since he cant handle even the smell of sweets, especially cake.

A terrible realization for everyone involved with him, on par with when Gray realized he wouldnt be able to have ice cream comfortably again, thats like a staple for ice mages

it built up slowly over time. once the honeymoon phase had passed, you two were comfortable. and then you two needed a break. he needed breathing room and you need to reevaluate where you wanted this relationship to go. when before you could see yourself marrying him, growing old with him, having a family with him, now you just saw his flaws.

he didnt know why but he felt bored. it hurt him to admit to himself. and it hurt even more having to tell his friends about it. the same friends that had grown to love you and you had grown to love aswell.

"you're... bored?" dream asked his best friend, looking at him like he was crazy. "of a person?"

nick winced as he heard it out loud for the first time. he looked at george who looked at him in complete concern.

during the break, you felt as if you two had broken up. and the longer it went on, the more he acted like you two actually had. and it really solidified it when he started talking to other people.

you didnt think he was doing it seriously. maybe it was just to make you jealous, maybe he did stoop that low. but then you saw how how george and dream were just as confused as you.

he really did try to hide it from you. from everyone. but no ones perfect.

"nick, who are you texting?" dream asked over his shoulder, startling him. he looked at dream with wide eyes.

when you found it he was talking to someone, you couldnt help but feel terrible at the idea that he had already gotten over you.

you walked into your old shared bedroom, nervously avoiding eye contact with your ex-boyfriend. he looked at you blankly as you stood there with your arms crossed, trying to find words to say.

he was sat up in bed, looking up from his phone at you. "...whats up?"

"we can agree we're not together anymore? like... this isnt gonna work out, right?" you continued to stare at your socks as you waited for the heart breaking answer. but you couldn't hold it in and looked up to see his face.

he looked small and deep in thought. he glanced down at his phone screen and back up at you.

"why are you thinking about it?" you ask offendedly. "im asking to make sure we're on the same page here. it wasnt an actual fucking question."

your words rang through the air. he sat there, hearing them play over in his head. it was like he was suddenly understanding the situation. he replayed your relationship, remembering how much he loved you. how happy he was.

y/n was introduced because of the recent nomu attacks in japan, her group she was apart of, was humbly asked by all might if they could give a helping hand. Them loving action and protecting, jumping in to help.

They had to go through the process of going back into school while being proheros. Which, was a lot of effort for some of the girls. Namely, pro hero, Terminator. Terra for short.

When the four elemental quirked users came into the class, they were swamped with questions, ranging from how they became proheros so young, how did they train their quirks ect.

y/n, stayed away as much as she could from being swamped, along with Magnus who sticked far away from tsunami and boltus who where eating up the attention and answering the questions with ease.

"they are really up in our business huh?" y/n asked her teammate who swiftly nodded.

it wasn't long until the group settled in though, answering questions, partaking in training and showing their peers how to use their quirks better.

It was on one training, where y/n was paired with the passionate and sweet Kirishima, and the ruff housing bakguo.

Although her quirk didnt work as well with bakugo, it worked hand and hand with kirishima. A hardening quirk next to an earthly one.

"bakugo? i think, after this training you should go with tsunami! She can help with control more since her quirk does smiliar things to yours" y/n kindly spoke making this boy tch but nod, "dont tell me what to do brat." he scoffed, but he took up the offer anyways.

"Hey bakubro! dont be so mean to the pretty girl" kirishima beamed, making the slightly older girl's eyes widened, just a bit.

"he thinks im pretty?" she mentally spoke,

___ It was like that, on and on, the two always getting paired up, always hanging out. It came to a point that everyone knew that they liked each other and where always shipped together.

They werent wrong, weeks after the rumors, they did start dating. And they were going really well, talking to each other, light kisses and sweet talk. Not too much pda, since y/n was a pro hero still, and she didnt like everyone in her business.

It went like this, for months. Until, LOV, attacked. The elements protecting the students they could, shielding them with their powers and defending.

God kirishima, loved when his girl fought. Everytime she did, he would feel a growing pride swell up in his chest. But there was a lingering feeling that he couldnt pin point. It wasnt important to him so he would ignore it.

He would try and help out, only to be kindly pushed away by terra. It annoys him that she did, terra—y/n, is so much stronger. Better than him. Why would she need help?

It was at the dorms when he watched everyone get along, even bakugo would chime in with tsunami. It made him happy bakugo was, but when he looked at y/n and sero he would get irritated. He would huff out, turn and give mina all his attention, even when his pretty girl was trying to get his attention.

It went on and on, kirishima now understands he would never be good enough for y/n. Shes a pro hero for fuck sake. Shes only here to help, she will leave right after anyway.

“eji? are you okay my pretty boy?” she’d ask, he would mumble a half assed reply, “yeah.” then walk away.

This time, she re-tried. “kiri?” she softly spoke, grabbing his wrist gently. “stop fucking grabbing me like that, l/n” he spoke, harshly tugging her. Making her fall down as she was in shock.

“wasting my time.” he spoke, right before she took the impact.

Once the bang was heard, poor kirishima looked back and his girl’s head was bleeding. He went down to check up on her, making her push him away.

“im fine.” she gruffed out. Standing up shakingly as she grabbed on the wall.

“baby!” he spoke, trying to grab her. “dont bother, ill waste your time anyways.” she spoke, her tone unkind. Mimicking his tone and gaze moments before.

As she walked out, kirishima realised he messed up. His jealousy and insecurity led him to hurt his lover. Gulit struck kirishima, it spread like lightning all over his body.

Not once did she looked at him, not once in the last week. But kirishima would look at her, gosh he would look. With pain, gulit and desire.

“shitty hair, what the hell did you do?” bakugo would ask, during their training. Kirishimas once partner now swapped with bakguo as she trained with tsunami.

“i, was jealous and insecure. I accidentally hurt her.” he whimpered out, tears brimming his pretty face was bakugo gave him a (attractive) ugly face. “ha? dumbass.” he knocked his knuckles on the boys head. “fix it, your wasting time.” It was like, kirishima had a great idea.

“it was a pleasure to help all of you!” terra spoke, bowing to her classmates. The group turned around to leave but stopped as the class yelled out to them. “we dont want you to leave!” they yelled.

They sadly smiled as y/n was about to speak, “unfortunately we ha—“

“babe wait.” kirishima spoke, huffing as he psuhed passed the class. “im, im sorry.” his voice broke, looking up at her sweet eyes as he tried to grather air.

“kirishima—“ “no, its eiji. Its eiji to you. you know that, i fucked up. I lost the love of my life beacuse i was jealous and insecure. I wanted you to feel the way i felt, but you dont deserve that. But please, let me try again, please dont leave us.” he cried out, deeply bowing with his forehead on the ground. “eiji.. come here.” she spoke, her sweet sound of her voice made him look up. She kissed his forehead sweetly.

“i love you, eijiro kirishima.” she lightly and sickenly sweetly spoke. Now kissing his lips softly.

The young pro hero looked at the eldest of the group.

“can we stay longer, nee-san?” she asked, tsnami.

“ill tell dad. Im sure we can stay longer ha?” she laughed.

“nee-san?!” the class yelled

“oops..?” the girls giggled.

I do think thor is being honest about how he thought the world of loki, but never enough to really look, to truly see his brother. never cared enough to dig deeper. and the mistakes loki made have just made it easier for thor to further ignore the deeper problems with his brother. you can love someone dearly, but still never truly see them. Addressing the claims that Elain and Azriel won’t work.

I’m seeing things like “Elain needs someone to see how capable, fun and strong she is”... I think if ANYONE understands that, it is Azriel. Was is not Elain that got him 2 funny gifts for Solstice, and he understood her humour? Was it not Azriel who didn’t think she was crazy, but that noticed she was a Seer? And was it not Azriel that trusted her with Truth Teller, which she used to stab the King? He does see her. At this point he seems like the only one.

People saying he will just protect her etc. Why not? Would you not want to keep a loved one safe? But also, there is no evidence to fully back up that claim at this point. Yes, he is protective of her and I don’t think that’s unhealthy. But we haven’t had the opportunity to really see her use her powers yet, and I think given he said something like “we are the ones that need...a Seer”, I’m sure he will not try and stop her from stepping up and using those powers if the IC needs her help (of course, that’s what I think and we might be proven wrong).

The thing about the shadows...I’ve read a lot about this and everyone has valid points. But saying she isn’t comfortable around his shadows is not based on anything. It’s his shadows that leave, not her hiding from them. It’s up to you to decide what you think that means from his perspective.

People also saying he needs someone who understands what he does and accepts it. Are you telling me she currently has zero knowledge of what he gets up to? Maybe she doesn’t understand how brutal it can be but she must have an idea. And even if she doesn’t know at this point, why are we assuming Elain is going to have a huge problem with it, but that someone else would just accept and love the idea of him torturing people??...

Also, on that point, maybe after 500 years he doesn’t want to do it anymore?? We know that’s partly to blame for his low opinion of himself. Maybe he needs someone to show him he has other options? Or not, just a thought!

These are just a few things that come to mind when I see these posts. You might disagree and that’s cool - I haven’t commented on others posts because I don’t want them to feel like I am starting an argument and everyone is entitled to their opinions. Also, this is not me being convinced Elriel are endgame because I honestly think SJM is going to flip this one on it’s head, but I had to put my thoughts down because some things just domt make sense to me. Although maybe the issue is that we don’t really know anything about either of these characters!
