It’s Just a Pumpkin | Adam x Charlie
Tumblr media
A/N: I finally finished something.  A miracle.  So this takes place a few months after Bleeding Hearts.
Pairing: Adam (OLLA) x Charlie Bock (OC)
Summary: Charlie is excited for the spooky season and can’t understand why Adam is so against it.
Warnings: mentions of past trauma (night terrors), most fluff, light angst
Adam and Charlie Masterlist
Thank you for reading and enjoying my stories and work.
--
“No.”
“But it is just…”
“Charlie, no.” His voice growing more terse.
“They were on sale at the Farmer’s Market. I was going to make pie later on.”
Adam stood up and walked to the doorway connecting the kitchen to the living room. His robe open and he hadn’t bothered with pajama bottoms that morning. “I can smell them, Charlie. Those are not pumpkins for eating. They’re pumpkins for….” His lips curled up into a sneer. “…carving.”
Charlie’s chin dropped towards her chest, her brown curls sadly bouncing. “I didn’t think you could tell the difference.”
Adam rolled his eyes, but only because her head faced the floor. “Well, it’s another note to add to your Adam notebook.” He stood there, watching her. Charlie’s eyes staring at the swirls of dirt and dust obscuring the pattern of the worn linoleum of their shared kitchen. His resolve and anger quickly melting away.
“I’ll give them away at the hospital on my next shift.” she commented, her voice hardly louder than a whisper. “I’m sure they can go to someone who gets to celebrate the holidays.” She shook her head from side to side as she spat out the words.
Of everything they had ever argued about, and at this point Adam had lost count of the number of things, nothing had left a sore spot with Charlie as much as Adam’s utter and bitter hatred for Halloween.
“It’s a bastardization of All Hallows Eve in order for the capitalist machine called the American economy to eek out more money for the consumers.” he countered the first time they argued over it. Back in July, when Charlie first brought up the idea of decorating.
“So what?! Maybe I don’t mind that! Maybe I enjoy the one day of the year where I got to pretend to be someone else?! Anyone else besides who I was. It was a night of escape and fantasy, Adam. Of magic.” She plopped down in the chair not too far from him that evening. “Why can’t I have that?” He sighed, holding his head in his hands. Something Adam found himself doing on a more and more frequent basis since he met Charlie. “Because you don’t need it anymore.”
“HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT I NEED?!” Charlie yelled, only to regret it as Adam stood and walked into the bedroom, taking his beloved Gibson with him, without another word. She quietly slipped into bed that night and Adam pulled her close against him without another word.
Now every time she even mentioned “October” or the “holiday season”, he would leave the room, sometimes slamming doors, but usually not. Charlie did her best to chalk it up to Adam’s “moodiness”, his demeanor. But she knew it was something else. And she didn’t dare ask.
She sighed. “They will be gone by tomorrow, Adam. And until then, I will put them outside, okay?”
He gave a brief nod. Charlie walked towards him and gave his lips a peck. “Now, when is the last time you had a hot meal?” She pulled him towards the couch with a laugh.
-
Charlie snored softly next to Adam as he slipped out of the covers and made his way to the spare bedroom. He sat at the end of the bed, balancing Charlie’s laptop on his knees, while he logged onto Zoom. A familiar face popped onto the screen after he spent about twenty minutes fiddling and curing.
“Adam.” Simone’s pleasant tone rang out. “It’s been too long since we spoke. Is everything okay with Charlie? The nightmares?”
Adam frowned. “About twice a month, unless she pulls double shifts at the hospital and then every night until she gets proper sleep. I believe you call it ‘self-care’.” He rolled his eyes at the last bit. “I didn’t exactly coin the term, Adam.” Her lips pulled into a thin smile. “This isn’t about Charlie. At least not entirely, is it?”
“No.”
He watched as Simone pulled out a calendar and flipped the page. “Oh, I see.” Her shoulders slumped, and she takes a deep breath. “Adam, sometimes a pumpkin is just a pumpkin.”
He nodded, his face twisting in pain. “I know that, but…” his voice trailed off and he looked away.
Simone tucked a strand of auburn hair behind her ear. “Tell me about your first Samhain together.”
Adam’s head snapped towards the screen, his eyes flashed for a moment and then he slumped to his side. “It was about four months after we met…”
-
Charlie woke up the next evening to find Adam gone. She checked the spare bedroom and then the living room. She heard something hit the kitchen table and she walked in to find Adam’s back hunched as he worked on something. A smile creeped over her face.  “Are you tinkering with the microwave again, darling? Because I don’t want to have to buy…” She walked in front of him and stopped speaking as he set down the kitchen knife.
Adam spun the pumpkin around to reveal a crude jack-o’-lantern face carved into the pumpkin. He twisted his hands on top of the table. “My artistic talents lie elsewhere.” He responded softly.
Charlie smiled as she sat down and took his hand, squeezing it. “You didn’t have to do this. I was willing to—”
“—Halloween reminds me of Eve.” he blurted out. “Particularly jack-o’-lanterns. And pumpkins.”
She swallowed hard. “I’m sorry.”
He ran his thumb over her knuckles. “Don’t be. I should have told you, instead of ignoring it.”  He exhaled sharply.
Charlie smirked at him. “Perhaps you could tell me about it and we could incorporate some of it around the house?” She raised a brow. “Unless Simone already suggested that.”
Adam’s eyes grew wide. “How did you…?”
“You never say you are ignoring your feelings, you just say you don’t have them.” She stood and went to make her evening coffee. “Have you eaten?” Her hand poised on the freezer door handle.
“Not yet, I was busy ensuring I didn’t chop off a finger.” He moved to grab a cordial glass from the cabinet.
Charlie took his hands and counted all ten fingers. “All accounted for.” She laced her fingers with his, pulling him close, wrapping her arms around him. “Love you.”
He leaned down and inhaled Charlie’s scent, her bay rum soap still lingering from her shower the night before. “I love you more.”

Just Like Old Times
Word Count: 1698
Pairing: Dukexiety (other sides mentioned)
Rating: T+
Warnings: Sex mention, game grumps, food mention, death mention, svs pt2 spoilers
--------
Laying in bed after a stressful day was one of the best things Virgil could do. He could melt into his mattress and let all of the tension in his body go. But his mind was a different story. After surviving the wedding, he needed to find the right video or videos to distract him. Vines were out of the question, he needed something to really focus on that wouldn’t include Thomas. His mind would wander back to the wedding. He knew exactly what to pull up.
With his laptop open and youtube up, his shaky fingers danced over the keyboard. The light from the screen lit up his face as the video loaded, and then his face lit up.
Yes, the Game Grumps. Their laughter and antics made him feel better. This episode was definitely a classic, Pokemon FireRed #28. He loved that bit and had to thank Ninja Brian if he ever met the guy.
Hey I’m Grump! I’m Not-so Grump! And we’re the Game Grumps!
But just when he was getting into the story, his peace fell apart.
“Oh Emoraptor!” Remus sang as he rose up.
“What the hell are you doing in here, and what do you want?” Virgil paused the video and huffed, not bothering to look at the duke. He couldn’t smell him at least.
“I just wanted to tell you something,” Remus pouted and rocked his shoulders back and forth.
“What? I’m in the middle of something here,” Virgil responded briskly and spared Remus a tired glance. The duke brought his finger to his lip and bent his knee.
“I’m a sexy widdle baby!” he cooed and fluttered his lashes. He topped it off with a wink and blew a teasing kiss. Virgil couldn’t fight back a snort. Remus was good at being ridiculous.
“And what does the sexy widdle baby want?” Virgil asked with a taunting smirk.
“I wanna watch with you!” Remus cheered and shimmied. Virgil rolled his eyes. He was clean, including his nails, they were perfectly trimmed too, and head scratches sounded wonderful, even if it meant getting them from Remus. He scooted over and patted the bed next to him.
“Keep it in your pants and no licking and you can stay.”
“Yes!” Remus cheered and leapt on the bed, “Bring on the Daddy Sexbang!” He wiggled to get comfy on his front and got close to Virgil to see the screen.
“Don't call Dan that again," Virgil groaned. He knew it was a lost cause but he was not going to let it slide that easily.
"But he’s a sexy widdle baby!” Remus laughed and threw his arm around Virgil. Vigil didn’t push him away but he rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, he is, you aren’t.”
“Excuse moi?”
“He doesn’t have a mustache, or smell like shit,” Virgil jeered. Remus retaliated by scratching his scalp.
"I'm sorry are you sniffing Dan Avidan daily?" Remus snickered as Virge melted into the touch.
"I don't have that kind of access or the need to sniff a straight man."
"Don't summon Janus with that kind of talk!" Remus laughed, "He's busy watching for when Patton flings logic out the window!"
"They're talking with Thomas?" Virgil asked wearily.
"Yeah but you can stick around and nut over Dan with me! This is a moral dilemma!"
"Should I be reading between the lines? I'm too tired to do that shit," Virgil grunted and scooted closer to Remus.
"I mean if you want to read between the lines you can assume I want to nut with you, over Dan or otherwise!"
"Gross!" Virgil snickered and sighed contentedly as the video switched into the next one.
"Come on! Like you haven't looked up some polygrumps art in your spare time to get some ideas!"
"Shipping real people is gross."
"Shipping and smut aren't the same thing! They're cool with that art, so it's fine!" Remus countered with a wink, "Do you think they make art of us like that?"
"They do. I try not to look it up. I don't want to imagine that much of the others. Especially Janus—there's a select group that takes the snake thing to a whole other level."
"Hot!" Remus cheered and shimmied, wiggling his eyebrows at Virge. He snorted in response and pressed his tongue into his cheek.
"Why doesn't that surprise me?"
"Because I'm me!" Remus giggled and glanced at the video, "Soap carving?"
"Yeah, I guess so. Ten Minute Power Hour. This shit is right up your alley!" Virgil hummed and watched as Arin and Dan debated the source of the smell of soap.
“Soap smells like soap, didn’t think that would be up for debate,” Virgil says, shaking his head.
“They usually add something to give it a scent, otherwise it smells like ammonia and meat fat!”
“Is that why you stink?”
“Nah! That’s just the scent of rejection!–Holy shit that cheese!” Remus hummed only to be distracted by a moldy old cheese carving that Dan dropped on the table.
“David Cheeseman, rip in pepperonis.” Virgil sighed wistfully, “He was a likeness of Dan and now he’s a likeness of you.”
“I resent that, unlike Dan, I know my sexiness has limits!”
“We define them differently.”
“So you think I’m hotter than Danny Sexbang? I don’t know what to say!” Remus preened and rolled on his side, putting himself on display. Virgil scoffed and rolled his eyes.
“That despite all the shit you do, you have normal thumbs, so that's a plus,” Virgil couldn’t help but tease. Remus gave him a questioning smirk and scratched his scalp in retaliation.
"You know you love me!"
"I don't know what you're talking about—" Virgil shrugged while continuing to watch, "—oh god, Arin no!"
Remus watched amusedly as Arin bit down on a bar of soap wrapped in brown yarn. He was going to town trying to bite through it. The pause when he "realized it wasn't ice cream" got a chuckle out of Remus. But it was Dan suggesting he bite it again and his nonchalant agreement and subsequent chompage that got Virge laughing.
"Mixing in the rootbeer is a good choice," Remus noted over the emo giggles, "it is creamy, but not like my favorite cream!"
"Dude!"
"What? I have a preference for Kelpie milk and cream! And they think I’m the dirty one!” Remus cackled. Virgil shoved him playfully and scoffed.
“You and I both know you would say the other thing.”
“Yeah!” Remus said and fluttered his lashes, “But I didn’t! I’m unpredictable like that!”
“You’re as random as a soap taco.”
“They call it a clean taco!”
“Who’s they?”
“Arin.”
“Touché”
“Tushy!” Remus cheered and flopped on his stomach with a giggle. Virgil was tempted to shove him off the bed while the grumps goofed off with soap.
“That’s supposed to be satisfying?”
“Usually, yeah,” Virgil shrugged and flipped his hair out of his face, expecting Remus to go on about soap cutting stim videos. He was not expecting the joyful smacking on his arm when they started singing.
“This is my jam!” Remus squealed, “Oooh! Can we sing it! Please! You know you love this song!” Virgil bobbed his head in mock contemplation and smirked.
“Yeah, if you think you can remember the words,” he said with a teasing lilt to his voice. Remus smiled darkly and nodded.
"There used to be a graying tower alone in the sea. You became the light on the dark side of me.” They sang in tandem, waiting for the other to mess up.
“Love remains!” Remus practically screamed as he climbed that octave, before dropping to his usual range.
“A drug that’s the high not the pill. But did you know that when it snows, my eyes become large, and the light that you shine can be seen?” he let Virgil handle that next chunk, mainly because there was a smoothness to the emo’s voice that he didn’t have. Plus he liked Virgil's singing.
“Baby! I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey, ooh, the more I get of you the stranger it feels, yeah! Now that your rose is in bloom, a light hits the gloom on the–” they were getting into it, having fun until...
“Grey.” “Grave.”
“It’s 'grey,' dukebag,” Virgil scoffed, “I can google the lyrics for you.”
“I know but I like saying ‘grave’ better! It still fits!” Remus argued.
“Just like you and your coffin,” Virgil jeered.
“Exactly! Now how about you let your rose bloom on my face so I can die happy!”
“That was a terrible euphemism, even for you.”
“Yeah, but that’s because I’m spending time with you again after so long, like almost nothing has changed except for the benefits and it makes me happy to be around and wanted!”
“Wanted?"
"I'm always showing up uninvited and it's part of the job. But it's nice to be wanted too, not just tolerated." Remus answered cheerfully. Virgil winced. He knew what that felt like, and almost forgot it too.
"It sure is," Virgil sighed and wrapped an arm around Remus, "It sure is."
"Janus just revealed his name." Remus hummed after a beat of silence. He was good at listening in on whatever was at the forefront of Thomas' mind when he wanted.
"What?"
"Yep! And he's gonna be a mess when he gets back, happy and hurt!" Remus hummed, "Of course so is Princey but it seems like Pat has that covered."
"Are you gonna go help him?"
"Nah, not yet. My name reveal wasn't emotional, so I'm useless in that department! Besides, I'm busy watching Game Grumps with my old flame and having fun! Self-Care Snake always says leisure is important!"
"Yeah, the emotional stuff can wait. Wanna see them fail at summoning a ghost?"
"Do I have a tentacle tramp stamp?" Remus answered with a mustache wiggle. Virgil snorted and ruffled Remus' hair.
"I missed you, you little shit!" Virgil laughed as he clicked on the next video.
"I love you too, Scare Bear!"
Virgil hummed noncommittally and leaned against the duke, resting his head on his shoulder. It really was as if nothing had changed at all.

Javier Escuella x F.Reader: My special angel
Tumblr media
Good day to all of you 😄🌷 Dear @eddesceulla This is for you. I hope you´ll like it 🌷😄 I´m so sorry that I have kept you waiting so long!! But here is your story with Javier.
Please excuse some mistakes - English isn´t my native language. And thank you @micau2 for helping me with the Spanish translation 💗💗
If anyone want a translation for Javier's song, just ask me. By the way, it´s a famous song -  Bobby Helms - My Special Angel
Warning: Nothing. There's only much, much fluff. I´m a romantic fool
(¯`v´¯)                                                      (¯`v´¯) `*.¸.*´                                                        `*.¸.*´ ¸.•´¸.•*¨) ¸.•*¨) (`’·.¸(`’·.¸  ¸.·’´) ¸.·’´)  (¨*•.¸ (¨*•.¸`•.¸ (¸.•´ (¸.•´ .•´ ¸¸.•¨¯`•               •`¯¨• ¸¸ `•. `•.¸) `•.¸) `*.¸.*´                                                       `*.¸.*´
My special angel
With a heavy sigh, you wipe the sweat from your forehead and you were very exhausted. A break would actually do you good, but there was still so much to do in the camp and you had to do your part. Also because many had become ill in the past few weeks and had to stay in bed for days. A lot of work was leftover. Unfortunately, you didn't notice yourself how you had overworked. You were very stressed and that was reflected in your mood. You were usually very cheerful, but your mood has been more than bad in the past few days. You were irritated very quickly and of course one or the other in the camp took advantage of that. Micah was one example. You had never had a good relationship with this man and you doubted that one day you and Micah would become friends. The only thing you could do was avoid him - but as on some other days, Micah tried to be close to you. You were hanging a wet piece of clothing on the clothesline when Micah stood next to you. He leaned comfortably against the wagon and carved on a piece of wood with his knife. "Y/N" "Mister Bell" You didn't feel comfortable around him and you didn't feel like talking to him and you wouldn't start a conversation with this man because you knew that he was only looking for a fight. But you felt his look - it seemed to be burning on your back. "You know, it's very rude to turn your back on me! It's disrespectful." You rolled your eyes and then you looked over your shoulder at him. "You don't need to teach me respect!" Micah had to laugh softly. You were very irritable and of course, Micah had fun with it. He loved to provoke other people. "I think... you need a little enjoyment, sweet pie!" "Get off, Micah! Can't you see I'm working ?!" You knelt on the floor again to wash more clothes and you ignored Micah. At least you tried, but it wasn't easy. "Oh, Y/N... you have so much temperament. I'm sure you're a very wild cougar." You stopped moving and you looked up at the blonde man. Your eyes narrow and you gave him a dangerous look. He should be careful with his choice of words. You already understood what Micah was trying to do, but you wouldn't get involved in this stupid game. He was a disrespectful bastard and that was one of the reasons why you didn't like him. "Oh, don't look at me like this, sweet pie! As long as Javier isn't in the camp, I can sweeten your hours. You need a little bit... well, let me say it this way... sugar!" That was enough! That was clear enough. You got up from your seat, took the wooden bowl in which you had just washed the clothes and poured the water directly onto Micah. That finally silenced him and he looked at you in shock. You truly dared to do this to him?! "Asshole! No wonder nobody likes you!" Micah looked after you with an evil eye as you left and he called after you angrily: "You'll regret that, honey! You can be glad that we are not alone in the camp!" But you ignored Micha's threats and just went your way. Micha's molestation had really given you the rest for today and you wished Javier was here. He's been gone all morning and you really needed someone to cheer you up...
When Javier came back to the camp that evening, he had brought some fish with him. He had been fishing with Arthur and had no idea what a stressful day his girl was having. Of course, Javier noticed that you had been working a lot lately and he was planning to take you with him to his little fishing trip, but you insisted that Javier go alone with Arthur and have fun with him - especially since you just didn't have time. Javier and Arthur brought the fish directly to Pearson, who of course enjoyed the good catch. As nice as this trip with Arthur had been, but Javier wanted to spend the evening with you comfortably around the campfire. Javier's eyes wandered across the camp and he was looking for you. Where have you been At least you weren't outside. He would surely find you in your tent that you share. But before he would approach you, he wanted to get rid of the smell of fish from his hands, because you couldn't face a lady like that. He washed his hands with curd soap on one of the water-filled barrels and when he had washed off the smell, he went to see you in your tent. "Y/N? You here?" He entered the tent and he saw you sitting on the cot - crying and sobbing. At first, Javier just looked at you in confusion because he didn't know what was happening here. What was wrong with you "Y/N? What is going on here?" His voice was very gentle and he knelt next to you, put his hands on your shoulders and he looked at you very worried. He couldn't stand to see you cry - that hurt his heart. "Mi amor?" You sob quietly and just looked at him sadly. Javier put his soft hand on your cheek and stroked your it with his thumb. "Something happened?" You sighed heavily and then you shook your head. "I um... it's all too much!" "What is too much, dear?" Javier asked carefully, stroking her soft hair, not taking his eyes off you. He was very worried about you and he wanted to do something about your grief. "Everything, Javier! I've been working hard at the camp for weeks because men like Bill and Micah don't set their lazy butts in motion and just do stupid things! Oh, and Uncle not to forget! Drinking and sleeping! All-day!"
You got louder and you rose from your seat, sighed heavily and stroked your hair as you turned your back on Javier. "I have the feeling that... oh God. I don't know either, Javier! The mood in the camp is..." Again you sighed and Javier could understand that you felt that way. But he had warned you - you had done too much work and now the result was: you were not well and you needed a break and Javier would take care of you. "...the mood has been so down lately. What's wrong with everyone? We're all scared! But we can't stop working! We need food, we need clothes, money and...! "Javier rose with a sigh from his seat and he went to you, put his hands gently on your arms, stroking them up and down as he put his head to your Shoulder, then gently buried his face on your neck. "Mi Rosa... it's okay. You have worked enough and you totally neglected yourself. You can´t work continuously." Javier was right and you knew that. You had the well-being of others in mind and you had forgotten yourself. But Javier would now take care of you. Javier gently turned you around and he looked into your pretty face, gently touched your nose with his and he smirked. A small smile came over your lips too and this time it was a satisfied sigh that left your lips. Javier's soft hand lay on your cheek as he leaned forward to kiss you - a tender, slow kiss and you enjoyed it. "How about we pack our things tomorrow and go to Strawberry for a few days? Just you and me?" "But Javier, we can't just go! I mean..." Javier cut you off by putting his finger on your lips. He smiled at you and he shook his head gently. "Relax, querida. Close your eyes." You did as Javier said and you closed your beautiful eyes. Javier looked at your beautiful face as he considered where he would kiss you first. But first, he gently stroked your cheeks with his knuckles, his eyes looking at you full of love. He looked at every move on your face. Your soft lips looked so delicious... Javier had to smile. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have you. To be allowed to love you. You were an incredible woman and he loved everything about you. Everything. Your urge for righteousness was to be admired and also that you were so self-sacrificing - even if Javier did not often agree. After all, you were the most valuable thing in the world to him and he didn't want you to force yourself to do too much work because of people like Micah or Bill. His thumb caressed your lower lip and you had to smile because his touches were always so gentle and so thoughtful. Javier saw that you were slowly relaxing, but your body was still in a cramped posture and he would do something about it. The young man leaned out to your neck and he started kissing you gently. His soft lips touched the sensitive area and he knew how much you liked it when he kissed you there. A sigh of pleasure came from your lips and Javier took your hands in his, interlocked his fingers with yours and he whispered to you: "You're my special angel - heaven is in your eyes, mi rosa." His words made you blush a lot and you had to giggle softly because he was a real sweet talker. He slowly kissed your throat up to your chin and when he reached your sweet mouth he gave you a deep and intimate kiss. Your arms wrapped around his neck as his passionate kiss slowly robbed your senses. Oh, that felt so good. It felt so good when Javier kissed you and touched you. He was a special man and you loved him very much. Javier was always tender, had never been disrespectful.
When the kiss was slowly released, you slowly opened your eyes and you looked directly into his brown soul mirror. Your tender hands lay on his chest as he stroked your soft hair. "Come on, mi amor." "Where do we go?" "I just want to play for you this evening. For you alone." When he said that you had to smile and you thought it was a very good idea. It would be good to spend an evening alone with Javier - in complete privacy. And Javier saw it the same way. He wanted to be alone with you and a short walk would be just the right thing. Not far from the camp, because the night was slowly approaching and the sun would soon announce its end. Javier took his guitar and he led you out of the tent. You couldn't wait to spend time with him. If you were alone, then he was a true romantic - well, actually he was always romantic, but in front of the curious eyes of the others, he couldn't express every thought, since they were very intimate and they were only your business. "Oh wait", Javier suddenly said and he handed you his guitar. "Would you hold that for a moment, please? We forgot something" You looked at Javier questioningly and raised your eyebrow. "What have we forgotten?" Javier went back into the tent and a few moments later he came out and held a fine knit blanket in his hands. Oh, you have forgotten about that. You had to smile because he was so attentive. "Oh, thank you, Javier" Javier put the blanket over your shoulders and his fingers gently brushed your soft skin. Javier put an arm around your shoulder as he led you out of the camp. You felt how his presence relaxes you and that slowly took away the stress of the past few weeks and days from you. "How was your trip with Arthur? Did you make a good catch?" "Yes. We picked up some fish." During your leisurely walk, Javier held you close and you enjoy the peace that surrounds both of you. You talked to each other about many things. Often it was little things, but listening to each other alone was the point. To hear each other's voices and to enjoy each other's company. Javier whispered a few romantic and slippery things in your ear here and there, which made you giggle gently. And you liked it a lot because you felt loved and desired by Javier. When Javier found a quiet and cozy place, he sat down with you under a tree. The sun would soon set and it was getting cold. It was a good idea to take the blanket with you, but the last warm rays of the sun, warmed your skin and you leaned comfortably against the tree and you enjoyed Javier's guitar playing and singing. And he sang just for you alone...
You listened to his words and your heart beats like crazy. You could understand a few words and they flattered you very much. Romantic words, full of love and affection and it felt so good to be around him. Javier looked at you while he was singing because he couldn't get enough of your beautiful sight. Besides, eye contact with his loved one was the most important to create a romantic atmosphere and of course - to seduce you. Everything about you enchanted the young man. Your beautiful eyes sparkled like two jewels, your full lips that were as soft as rose petals, and your body that he desired so much. God, could he put his love for you into words? That was hardly possible. After Javier ended his song, he put his guitar aside so that he could pull you into his warm arms and do what he had been longing for all day. You snuggle comfortably with a sigh into his arms and you close your pretty eyes, perceive its pleasant fragrance. "That was so beautiful, Javier." You looked at him and a gentle smile was on your lips. "I love you." "I love you too, Y/N." He kissed your soft lips and when you put your arms around his neck, Javier sighed comfortably in the kiss. His right hand slid into your full hair, while his other hand gently slid down your spine. That gave you goosebumps - it felt so good when he touched you. Javier was always so tender when he touched you and his kisses were passionate. His tongue slid over your soft lips as your delicate fingers clawed into his blue jacket and you opened your mouth a little so that Javier could slide his tongue in and when he did so a lusty moan came over your lips and Javier enjoyed it. It was a passionate dance your tongues shared and Javier dominated you in this game, but you didn't mind. This kiss was passionate but without haste and greed. It was slow, deep and full of love - love that you felt for each other. His soft hands cupped your face and he stroked your tender skin with his thumbs while his mouth captured yours. As you slowly released the kiss and your eyes met, you both smiled and Javier pulled you into a loving hug in his arms. "You need to take better care of yourself, darling", he said quietly, caressing your soft hair. You nodded because Javier was right. "Promise, Javier."
After a long time, you could finally relax and enjoy the peace that you deserved. Together with your Javier, who would do everything for you to be happy. Would it be an exaggeration to say that this man would even bring you the stars from the sky? No, probably not...

Lifeday

On time! For once! Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. Thank you for reading my stories, liking, and enjoying them.
Corrie woke up next to Mando again, knowing it was probably the last time or one of the last times. Still blindfolded, she rolled over and looped her arm over his chest. He stirred and she felt him turn his head and nuzzle her hair. “Stay today, please,” she said. “Leave tomorrow.”
“I will,” he said, his voice regretful. “I need to go check on the kid.”
“I know,” she said. “Tell me when I can take this thing off.”
He slipped away from her and she snuggled under the blankets, listening to him dress. Finally, he said, “Okay.” Corrie pulled off the blindfold and blinked in the soft light of her room. He looked imposing and untouchable, so different than the considerate, patient lover she’d gotten to know. “Should I come back later?”
“Brama will probably bring you back over for breakfast,” Corrie told him. “She’s planning to eat with me today.”
“Then I’ll see you later.” His voice had warmth in it, and it wasn’t love, but Corrie liked it.
She listened until he was gone, then hopped out of bed. She showered quickly, aware that she had a lot to get done before breakfast. When she’d been a kid, she’d never understood how much work her parents had done to make Lifeday a pleasure for her and her brothers.
She started the oven and put in the sweet breads, then pulled out the remaining gifts. Most of the kids’ gifts were out on the Lifeday table, set out last night after they’d been to bed. The rest were for Mando and his family, and not just from her and Brama. The entire town had slipped her gifts in secret that she’d hidden under her stairs for today. His pile was larger than her kids, and she couldn’t mind. He’d given her town the best gift of all, and they were trying to repay him. In front of the pile of gifts, she put the bag holding the credits for the Wookie -- not as a gift, but as payment for his services.
And then he’ll leave. She didn’t want him to, but she wouldn’t be that selfish. She knew his reasons for staying on the move. With that done, she took one last look around the house and made sure she’d prepared everything. The red banners with knitted flowers and snowflakes hung from the mantle and the doors; garlands of evergreens and red ribbons wound up the bannister on the staircase. The gifts were on the gift table, and everything looked to be in order.
The door opened and Brama came in, followed by Mando and the bassinet. Brama had more gifts, and Mando carried her massive pot of hot chocolate. “Happy Lifeday!” Corrie said loudly, giving her mother, Mando, and the baby a hug. When she finished with the little one, she set him down and said, “Would you like to get Raina and Lonneric up?”
The child looked at the stairs, so Corrie nodded encouragingly. With surprising speed, he went after her two sleepyheads. Laughing, she turned to Mando. “Always move faster then they want something, don’t they?”
“They do.” He glanced at the table and asked, “Do I see my name on one of those?”
“Your name is on a lot of them, but we don’t open until after breakfast.” Corrie saw his helmet pull back but a storm of feet from above signaled the arrival of the children. “That was fast! Alright,” she directed them away from the table firmly, “everyone wash their hands, then take a seat.”
“One gift, please!” Raina clasped her hands in front of her and dropped to her knees. Lonneric joined her a second later, his own pleading, “Just one!” The baby watched them with wide eyes.
“Nope, gifts after we eat.” Connie looked at her mom, who helped her physically herd the two bigger kids, while Mando got his child into the highchair. The kids tore into the sweetbreads, practically inhaling them. Just to build character, Corrie made the kids wait until the adults finished before she turned them loose on their gifts.
“Come here,” she said, drawing Mando and the baby over to their pile. “Here,” she said, handing the little on a bundle as big as himself. He gazed at it, then up to her, and her heart broke a little at the clear confusion.
“Open it.” Mando’s soft voice cut through the sadness. “It’s for you. Here, pull this.” He touched a ribbon. Hesitantly, the child pulled on it and the package fell partially open. He looked up at his father, who nodded encouragingly, and then the little one pulled out the stuffed gurt toy. “That’s a cute toy,” Mando remarked, and Corrie swore his calm voice was thicker with emotion. The baby tried to hand it to him, and he said, “No, that’s yours to play with. Do you want to open another?”
The baby nodded, and Mando sat down next to the table and pulled over another gift. “Oh, this is for me. Should I open it?” The baby’s ears rose and he nodded. “Okay, let’s see what Kend got me. He’s the older deputy, right?”
“Yeah,” Corrie said, feeling tears threaten at how unfair this galaxy had been to the two of them; how it had denied them some of the simplest of pleasures.
Mando pulled the gift open, his son watching from his lap. When he pulled the cloth wrapping back and saw the silvered blaster, he seemed unsure what to say. He picked up the note and read, “‘It’s shiny like you, so I thought it would look better on your hip.’”
Smiling a little, Corrie pulled back to give them privacy as she went to her own gifts. Like Mando, she had gifts from all over town though the ones from her closest loves were her favorites; Lonneric gave her a piece of carved soap, and Raina had punched holes in a piece of felt and “embroidered” a little picca flower for her. Brama had replaced a pot Corrie had been forced to convert into a planter after the handle broke. Koda gave her a whole bundle of carded wool and a promise that he’d card for her all year.
Sitting back in her favorite chair, she watched her children play with their grandmother, while Mando and his child sat in an ever-growing mountain of gifts. She tried not to cry as the little one seemed as lost as he was grateful. Mando seemed to sense it too, and stopped giving him more gifts. The little one finally picked out a wooden zixcat and went to play with Raina and Lonneric. The adults watched; Mando in silence while Brama and Corrie took care of dishes and the next meal.
After lunch, the kids went outside to play, and Mando caught Corrie by the arm. “Hey, I don’t really think I have room for all of this on the ship.” He waved at the gifts. “Can you and the kids use it?”
His matter-of-fact statement about it finished Corrie’s resolve to not lose it. She tried to say, “Whatever you need to do,” and instead she burst into tears. She heard her mother’s knitting needles stop abruptly.
“I’m sorry.” Mando put his hands on her arms, clearly upset. She still couldn’t speak, and she helplessly shook her head as her mother joined them, putting an arm around her shoulders.
“It’s not you, I promise,” Brama said to Mando as she steered her away. “Give us a moment?”
“Of course.”
Brama pulled her into her bedroom and sat her down on the bed, tugging her close. It was too much like when her mother had held her when Loren had died, and the tears just flowed faster. “It’s okay,” her mother said softly, rubbing her arm. “It’s okay.”
“He didn’t understand Lifeday. The baby. He didn’t have a clue,” Corrie finally managed to choke out and her mother nodded.
“Thanks to you, he does now,” Brama said gently. It didn’t help, because all Corrie could think was that in fifty long years, no one had ever shown that kid the simple pleasure of Lifeday, or anything like it. Brama didn’t say any more; she just let her daughter cry until the tears were done.
When Corrie sat up straight and sighed in frustration, her mother said, “I’d say, just tell Mando that he can take what he can, and we’ll figure it out when he’s gone.”
The reminder that he was leaving tomorrow definitely didn’t help Corrie’s mood. “That’s what I was trying to say before my emotions got the better of me. Ugh, have I ruined Lifeday, you think?”
“No.” Her mother smiled. “I think he understands, too.”
Mando looked up when she came back to the main floor, and Corrie said, “Sorry about that. Whatever you need to do with the gifts. We’ll work it out here.”
“I don’t want to insult anyone in town,” he said quickly.
“No one will be insulted,” Corrie said firmly. And if they are, they’d better keep that to themselves. “We understand you have limited space.”
“And there’s this. This is my gift for you.” He handed her the bag with the credits for the Wookie’s bounty in it.
“I don’t understand,” Corrie said. “This was our agreed fee.”
“I brought in the Wookie for you, for free. This is all I can give you, Corrie, in thanks for all that you have done. Your town, your family--” He cupped her cheek with his hand, his fingers tangling in her hair. “You.”
“Thank you,” she murmured, smiling at him.
They spent the afternoon opening the remaining gifts and picking out which ones Mando could take. Her town had opened their hearts and given the best they had to their savior, and he seemed to know that as he carefully made his choices. The rest, Corrie set aside to deal with later, when he was gone. For now, she stacked them in the front closet. She couldn’t bear to look at them right now, and she dreaded explaining this to Raina, who was both perceptive enough to notice, and too young to understand without a lot of explanation from her mother.
She managed to get through dinner and the day without another outburst, thankfully. Her mother and Mando were both gentle with her, and she accepted their care without comment. It had been one of Loren’s gifts to her; teaching her to just relax into being cared for rather than trying to tough it out. Thoughts of her lost husband didn’t help her emotional turmoil, but she didn’t let herself dwell on that. There would be time to mourn tomorrow.
After the kids were asleep, Corrie showered and sat on her bed in her robe, waiting. She ran the scarf that was her customary blindfold through her fingers and listened to the silence. Finally, she heard someone softly open the door, then light steps on the stairs. A quiet tap at her door finally brought a smile to her face, and she let him in.
They didn’t speak, and didn’t need to say anything to each other. Corrie helped Mando out of his armor, and he blindfolded her, and then they crashed into one another. It wasn’t violent or harsh, but the patience of before had faded in knowledge that this was their last night together. Corrie knew she’d likely have a long wait before she could find another partner for this, and she suspected that Mando was as picky as she was.
Exhaustion claimed her in the small hours of the morning, but when he woke her up for one more coupling, she responded eagerly. By the time the sun’s rays pierced the horizon, Corrie was tired, sore, and physically sated. Emotionally, she was already missing the stranger who hadn’t left yet.
They lay quietly together for a long moment. She felt the second he summoned his willpower; sensed the shift in his body that signaled the coming departure. “I need to leave,” he said softly.
“I know,” she said. He cupped her face and gave her one last, sweet kiss, then slipped out of bed. She let him go without complaint, listening to him dress. She could have protested, and a small part of her that had enjoyed having a bed companion again wanted to speak out. He wasn’t the staying kind, and she wasn’t the leaving kind, and they’d both known this.
She wasn’t in love, she was lonely. Or perhaps just horny.
“You can take it off,” he said softly.
She did, blinking at him in the dim bedroom. Sitting up, she asked, “Do you want us to see you off?”
“No.” He didn’t say it’d be easier, but they both heard it.
“Okay,” she said, yawning. “I’m going to go back to sleep.”
“Thank you,” he said softly, his voice warm. “It was good to celebrate Lifeday again.”
“It was the least we could do after all you’ve given us.” Corrie watched him silently shrug off the comment. “You’re welcome to come back and visit anytime.”
“I will,” he said. “When it’s safe.” Corrie couldn’t tell if he was lying or not, but she didn’t call him on it or probe. He would come back or he wouldn’t. “Goodbye.”
“Goodbye, Mando.” Then he was gone from her life as rapidly as he had entered it. She stayed in bed until she heard the Crest lift off, then she got up, showered and started her day. She’d miss him, but life would go on after he’d helped them set things right. Her people would survive because of him, and that was enough.

S.I.M.P.L.E
A story about Dean having the apple-pie life he’s always wanted. As told by Sam’s perspective. Sometimes. Just roll with it, I wrote this for my own fun. Figured maybe all you lovely people could get a shot at enjoying it too!
Disclaimer. All mistakes are mine. The French-Canadian OFC is mine. The WInchester kids are mine. Dean, Sam and the rest of the SPN cast of characters, unfortunately, are not mine.
I believe @justjensenanddean owns one of the pics in the collage. Maybe… It was a while ago. Nicely let me know if I should take it down. Or if this is illegal or something, tumblr is still mildly confusing to me.
Summary.  Sam learns some more about his quirky nephews and beautiful nieces.
Tumblr media
Chapter 2: Dean’s Magnificent Family of Seven.
Sam dried off his hair, after his luxuriously long shower, with a towel that smelled vaguely of moss and oranges. It made him wonder if his newly discovered sister-in-law leaves the clothes outside to dry or if she actually uses a soap that is scented like moss and oranges. He did see a washing machine when he passed by the laundry room a little earlier, but he hadn't caught sight of a dryer. Louisa does strike Sam as the slightly more old-school type, so it's very possible that she just doesn't have one. He wonders exactly how old Louisa is, anyway? He's pretty sure that there's no grey in her hair and she was running really fast for a pregnant mother of four. But Sam just can't imagine his big brother to have actually married a woman that much younger than himself. Meh, maybe she simply athletic.
As he cautiously exits the steaming bathroom in the house's spacious and well-lit basement, Sam peeks around the corner to see if any of the kids are hanging about, ready to pounce on him. They aren't shy, that's for sure. He sighs a bit in relief, really, until he sees one of the twins, Robert, he thinks, pad over to him from the den where the two older kids are watching, is that The Magnificent Seven? Oh Dean... Sam crouches down to Robert's level. The boy seems to eye him warily, then leans in to whisper in his ear.
"Pweas, come wi meh. Stasie neeeeds ew!"
Sam nods quickly and lets Robert lead him to a nursery on the other side of the basement, where Anastasie was floating above her crib as she whimpered. Sam gulps. 'Not good.' She turned her head towards Sam and his heart fell into the pit of his stomach. They glowed a very faint blue. The same colour as Michael's... Before Sam could have a nervous breakdown about it though, Robert tugged on his sleeve to pull his ear back down to his level.
"Do't orry bout bue eyeses, aways ave 't. Wo't urtuh. Wan ick up!"
Sam, thankfully caught on to the fact that the kid said she won't hurt him and that she wants to be picked up. As soon as Sam grabbed her, her eyes turned a normal dark brown and her weight dropped into Sam's arms. He heard Robert say 'Tank ew.' and 'Come wi meh.' right before he was left alone with his thoughts in the forest green nursery.
What the hell! Don't be what I think you are!
He went and sat with the kids as they watched The Magnificent Seven, trying to figure out how he was gonna bring this up with Dean, when Marie plopped down beside him and said "Uncle Sammy we need to talk."
"Um, okay. What about Marie?" "What you just saw in the nursery. See, Mama was three months pregnant with Anastasie when Dad got possessed by the bad angel." "Archangel, you nimrod!" John-Henry interrupted from his spot under the hand carved coffee-table where he appeared to be searching for something. "Shut up dirt-bag! Anyway, Mama didn't know about the possession and when Dad sho..." "Or who she thought was Dad!" "I said shut it! Showed up Mommy was a bit confused, but sometimes Daddy acts a bit strange anyways. We were all asleep and didn't see him that night. But the next morning when I woke up Mama was in the kitchen crying and Dad was gone. Seems when Mama and Daddy got "reacquainted" the night before Mommy found out about the angel and how he'd given some weird power glow stick stuff to Anastasie." "It's called 'grace' idiot! And it's still archangel..."
Marie stuck her tongue out at him for that. Sam's head is reeling with information now. Between the fact that, apparently, archangels can turn already conceived children into partial nephilim and the fact that Marie used air-quotes and a metaphor for sex at the age of seven, Sam just didn't know what to think.
"Where are your Mommy and " he swallowed, "Dad?" Sam had never had to call Dean a dad. The word suddenly felt foreign on his tongue.
John-Henry shrugs as he lowers the volume on the movie using the remote he'd been looking for. "Getting reacquainted. Usually takes them twenty or so minutes. Unless Dad's been gone a while, then it can take an hour. That's when Marie and me watch a movie."
I shouldn't have asked...
"And Robert? Doesn't he watch the movie too?" " Robbie likes to sleep instead. Or play with the pool balls on the billiards table behind you." Marie answered.
Course there's a pool table. Did I really expect any less? Next up will be a trampoline and a gun range! Jeez!
"Mama's calling! Time for dinner!" "Yippee!" " You coming, Uncle Sammy?"
Sam must have really been out of it. He hadn't heard Louisa calling at all.
"Yeah, I'm right behind you sweetie..."
The whole family somehow settled down and sat at the heavyset, oblong, wooden table in the kitchen. Which was quite cute, in Sam's opinion. Yellow walls with dark blue trimmings and dark pine cabinets that had deer antlers for handles. Bit clashy maybe. But cute. Bright. It looked like a fairy tale cottage had a baby with a hunter's cabin, to be exact. Sam's attention was caught, again by Marie, when she made a comment about hoping that her Dad hadn't put another twin inside her Mommy like he did for the boys. Louisa snorted her juice out her nose, she was laughing so hard. "Honey," she said after, " I'm not sure that can happen twice to the same mama, so I think you're okay for now."
When Sam gave Dean the dude-what-is-she-saying face, Dean rolled his eyes and took a deep breathe before answering.
"Well apparently, some ladies can get pregnant after they're already, you know, pregnant. John-Henry and Robert were born at the same time, but not, uh, made at the same time. It's why Robert is so much smaller than John-Henry and has a bit of trouble pronouncing. He was on oxygen or some crap like that for a few weeks after he was born because he was technically two and a half months premature. But Johnny here was good to go within a day."
"Lord I hated that labour! Everyone buzzing around like headless goats and moaning on and on about how the babies mightn't make it! I ended up throwing everyone except Dean out of the room before the doctor forced himself back in. Which took just long enough for Robert to be born, then Doctor Ominous insisted on delivering John-Henry. I swore to never darken the door of a maternity ward again afterwards and so far haven't broken that oath, either!" Louisa smiled at Dean. "Lucky for me, I have a husband who is more than willing to stay home with me and bring these little ones into the world."
Louisa fondly kissed Dean at that, the kids giggling in the background as they did. Unfortunately, Louisa leaning over gave Sam the full view of her neck which exposed a blooming hickey. Sam shuddered.
"So, Dean was the one who helped with both of the girls?"
Sam both hoped and dreaded that the flippant question would pull a reaction from either Louisa or Dean which would inform Sam about the whole Micheal-gave -my-baby-sister-voodoo-powers thing. He wasn't disappointed. Dean's face immediately fell and Louisa bit her lips, responding " Technically, Michael delivered Anastasie. But now is not a good time to talk about that."
Supper was served by Louisa. A chili con carni made with beef chunks as well as hamburger. It also had sweet corn and some sort of white corn, possibly native corn, in it. Sam had to admit, for the amount of unhealthy cholesterol in this ungodly meat mix, the chili tasted divine. No wonder Dean was slowly but steadily gaining weight in the last eight years. Not that the diner food helped any either. Sometime in between Marie and John-Henry fighting over Lord knows what and Anastasie puking up half of her steak and peas mush all over Louisa's t-shirt, Robert, who was having a lot of trouble finishing his meal, grabbed his plate and silently slid into Dean's lap. That's when Sam noticed Dean's smile return, after the unwanted attention brought on about Michael. Robert settled in and tightly clung to Dean's waist. Dean wordlessly began to spoon feed him, eating his own chili in between hesitantly taken bites from Robbie. Robert never made a sound...
Sam began to wonder if the boy was naturally clingy or if his silent demeanor and slight anti-sociability was an indication to something else, due to being premature.
Supper ended on a anti-climactic note, in all honesty. Louisa carted Anastasie off to be washed, given gripe water to settle her stomach and set to play in the living room/study beside the kitchen. Marie and JH ran outside, having barely washed their hands forehand, and paying no mind to Dean yelling at them to stay in the yard or so help him. Sam sat back, drinking some unlabelled beer Dean had pulled out of the fridge. He chuckled under his breath at the sight of Robert with his shaggy head tucked beneath Dean's chin. Dean is humming Old Cotton Fields by CCR.
"Dean?" "Hmm?" "When did you and Louisa get married? You are married aren't you?" "Yeah, got married back in 2011, on Louisa's 20th birthday, June 10th. Most of her family refused to come cause she was marrying some no name pool stick slinging drunkard who drove a muscle car and was a little too handy with a shotgun for her mom's liking." Dean's pensive for a moment. "You know, in the end, only her dad and her oldest sister with her family attended. And two of her friends from college, they were the bridesmaids. Got married in a little Catholic church up in North Dakota, where Louisa's from. Legally, we're not really married, since the government thinks I'm dead. Louisa just changed her name." He huffs." Said my name was sexier than hers. Anyways, the priest was so old, he agreed to bless our wedding without the permission of the bishop. Or a marriage licence."
That answers my question about Louisa's age then...
Sam smiles at the thought of his brother, standing at the altar, watching as his bride marches radiantly down the aisle.
"So, her family hated you." Sam laughed "Who would've guessed that?"
Dean chuckled at Sam's sarcasm.
"Bitch." "Jerk."
"I wish I'd been there with you." Dean visibly tightens his hold on Robert, who had fallen asleep a while ago, drool pooling on Dean's t-shirt. "I wish you'd been there too, Sammy..."
Louisa steps back in at this point. She ushers Sam and Dean, still holding his sleeping child, into the living room. Louisa snuggles into Dean's side on the relic couch from the 60's. Sam lounges quite comfortably on the green plaid, cotton upholstered recliner nearby.
Not a word was said for the rest of the evening.
Send me an ask if you’d like to be tagged!
