i’ve watched both seasons of skamnl and i really liked lucas bc i thought he was v unique and cute!! i’m curious as to why you like him so much tho bc i feel like we basically know nothing about him (since he doesn’t have his season and he was pretty much absent in s2)... so i feel like it’s really hard to connect to a character when you don’t know anything about them, maybe its just me tho that’s why i was wondering what you liked sm abt his character 💐

...this is genuinely a tough question and I hope you’re prepared because it may be a longish answer but I’ll attempt to keep it brief 😅

I think I like him a lot for the reasons you said. like, he feels unique, and he’s a bit of a mystery. I think also it comes with writing him so much – I wouldn’t even be able to do that if I didn’t like him as much as I do, and also if I didn’t kind of interpret the little information we have on him in my own way. so it’s possible if we actually had his season and got to know him that a lot of my stuff would appear out of character (but I don’t think so), but there are a lot of things I like about him in the show itself anyway. he’s supposed to be the snakiest isak, but he seems really soft. his relationship with Isa is my fave of all the eva/isak dynamics because they feel so much like they are friends on their own and even though he fucks up it still feels like he genuinely loves her and I like that, and I love him and Kes too, I think they would have had one of the top tier best-friend dynamics if he’d gotten his season (if Kes actually wasn’t the Even himself 😌)

he’s also like the most scared and the most bold at the same time (based on how he is with Kes e.g. the dance scene vs how defensive he is e.g. him outright telling Isa he’s “in love with her” instead of just agreeing when she suggests it as is the usual). but I feel like internally he’s actually the most aware and accepting of himself, like it doesn’t feel like he’s denying it to himself as much as some of the others (e.g. the “have you ever been in love” scene). I think he’d be the most “out and proud” type once he actually got there, if that makes sense? and I ADORE that he’s an ARTIST!! they never really give the Isaks the passion, the Evens are always the creative ones, the more blatant lovers, but I think it’s really there in Lucas and I love that. he would’ve been a bit like Matteo in feeling like an Isak and an Even and I love nothing more than that (I also portray him that way (actively in some cases — I’ve referred to him as a sobbe child in an au before))

I love his style. his curls and his ring and his denim jacket and his pink sweater. and honestly I just love his whole vibe. he’s so cool but also so sweet and even kinda goofy (based more on some of the party clips in s2). he’s lighthearted and laidback and subdued at the same time. he’s, frankly, a little shit. he’s confident even though he’s scared/hiding. and I love the fact that he’s so far from perfect. he actually reminds me of Jens in the way. where because he’s pretty and a morally grey character, if you like them it’s “because they’re pretty” and not because they feel more human and relatable because of their imperfections and their tendencies to lie and their tendencies to hold things in and that they openly mess up and don’t always actually fix it in the best way.

I just love everything about him tbh. everything we do know and everything I’ve taken a leap on. every version of him I’ve written I adore
