Years have trailed by and you carried his words deep in your heart, noticing everyone who smiled at you and how different each of them looked when they curled their lips upwards in a bright grin, you even run into a few a couple of times during your service with the demon slayer corps that they even wore varying smirks and smiles as well upon encountering you once more some beamed at you, thanking you for your aid, others leering from the sides and waving with soft grins in recognitions, and others outright sneering at you because you caused some property damage in your efforts to save them. There were so many you never noticed until your grandfather's passing. You grew a fascination with one man however, one who was always so gloomy, his gaze often cast forward as if he's looking through things instead of at them, his face sullen and lips always pressed tightly together. He drew you in with the strangely tranquil energy he radiated, adding a bit of peace amongst the chaos you were used to. Giyuu Tomioka. He was like a breath of fresh air. You often wondered how he looked when he actually smiled, so you made it your personal goal to see the sight. _________________ It took time, but you eventually caught a glimpse of Tomioka's smile, a tired grin really, but it radiated a soft contented feeling as he looked over the steaming plate of salmon with daikon the restaurant served him. You felt lucky being able to share such a moment as you ate your cold soba. Your eyes met and you swore yours were practically filled with stars as you looked at each other. __________________ The second time you noticed his smile, it was a touch brighter, almost prideful as he looked at your own joyful face. You had both managed to grow closer to each other over the months of training and spending any scraps of free time you both managed to get. You were both simply relaxing under one of the many wisteria trees planted around Tomioka's estate when he stood up and walked away without a word, leaving you confused. You both had developed a strange friendship where he was able to break away whenever he felt the need to. You assumed it was simply another such circumstance until he returned moments later, a small box in his hands. "You said that today was your birthday," he spoke, holding the box out for you to take, sitting back down beside you when you accepted it. "I got you a gift. I hope that it isn't too much to ask you to open it now." "Of course not," you replied, eagerly opening the box and finding a small, ornate hairpin of a crane inside, the craftsmanship being highly apparent with a simple glance. You lit up with happiness. "Tomioka-san, this is beautiful! I love it!" Tomioka smiled softly seeing you so happy, those stars in your eyes like they were when you both shared a meal together for the first time. He felt pride well up in his chest at your joy and he was more than happy to help place the hairpin in your hair. __________________ You never took the pin out of your hair, and it was always rare to see you without it somewhere on your person, the crane soon becoming your own sort of symbol. You were always eager to show it off to any and all that would ask. Nearly a year later it was held in pristine condition due to your diligent care, and your dearest friend Giyuu always seemed to get a flash of pride in his eyes whenever he spotted it gleaming in the light. You were waiting for him underneath the tree you both held so many fond memories under, spending your free time beneath the soft purple petals that swayed in the breezes that would blow by, spreading their soothing scent all around the two of you. You never could stop the happy grin and welcoming wave of your hand above your head when you spotted him approaching you. He almost never failed to wave back to you after you both grew close.

"Giyuu-san, it's great to see you again!" You chirped, flashing Giyuu one of your brighter smiles that he swore you only saved for him, despite seeing how close you were to both Kanroji and Rengoku. He never saw you light up the same way you do around him, which led him to assume that perhaps you may hold the same affections in your heart that he carries for you. "I could say the same for you, my friend," he spoke, finding that his voice betrayed him as he couldn't hide the disappointment in his tone. He felt his heart twist seeing your joy shift quickly to concern. He had hoped that you wouldn't pick up on such a small detail, but you wouldn't have survived this long in the corps if you hadn't had such attention to details. "Are you well? You sound a bit...out of sorts." "I suppose you could phrase it as such." You raised a brow at the strange phrasing, cocking your head to the side in silent question. Giyuu sighed, looking to the crane that sat so beautifully in your hair, adoration dancing in his eyes briefly before he shifted his attention back to your inquisitive gaze. "Is it alright if I asked you for something?" "Always. You know you can ask me for anything, Giyuu," you replied, voice earnest and laced openly with your concern. "I...would like to know if you would let me have your heart," Giyuu spoke, watching with a twist in his stomach at your widening eyes. "You already have mine, so I...if you'll have me..." "I was already yours." "Pardon?" "I was already yours, Giyuu. Of course I'll have you, you already have me," you elaborated, watching as a bright smile if sheer relief and affection overtook his features, leaving you moonstruck. You've never seen such a smile worn by him before, and you could still feel it as you both leaned in for a kiss, him smiling through the act of affections as one of his hands cupped your cheek. __________________

You could've sworn magic was in the air the day Giyuu asked you to be his bride, tears filling your eyes as you hugged him tightly, sobbing out cries of "yes!" repeatedly. Giyuu himself teared up and smiled like the sun as he hugged you back, pledging to himself that he would lay down his life to protect and cherish you. The day of the wedding felt like a fairytale, you could hardly stop looking at each other or exchanging kisses, Giyuu's utter joy written across his features with a beaming smile filled with blissful glee. You mirrored such an expression through the whole day into the nights to come, calling to him as "husband", a title that never failed to make him crack a grin made for you and you alone. You saw every morning when you both woke, every night before you slept, and you memorized every detail of him, as he did of you, weaving yourselves a pathway of love and utter devotion that the stars and moon's collapse could never break. Your bound to each other for life, your souls entwining forever as they did so long ago when he gifted the most beautiful present one could ever have asked for. __________________ Your ears were ringing, faint cries of various slayers were echoing all around you, some pained, some fearful, all feeling like they were a thousand miles away. Your vision was blurred, all you could clearly make out was your broken sword in front of you and the blood that stained the fractured blade alongside the crane that you wore so proudly, now having a broken wing and bill. You struggled to breathe. You heard a cry of your name, the voice cutting through the calamity and cacophony that muffled your ears; your husband's voice. Giyuu's voice. The cry of your name was visceral, full of worry and pain. It made your heart ache as you tried to call back to him, let him know that you were alive, that you were breathing, but all that came forth was a croak of the first syllable before you coughed violently, the taste of iron filling your mouth and tainting your taste buds before your world went dark. It felt like eternity before you finally awoke. Countless hours in a dreamless void, a pit forming deep in your gut before your eyes flew open, being greeted by an all too familiar ceiling, pain and aching shooting throughout your limbs and chest. You let out a gravelly groan from the back of your dry throat, pinpricks of pain prickling at the back of it. A soft gasp could be heard to your left, along with the feeling of warm droplets striking your hand. "My love...You're finally...you're awake, you're back..." The voice uttered, emotion dripping from the soft tone. It instantly struck your heart as you quickly identify it as your husband. You turned to look at him, his short raven locks framing tear filled eyes and shaky smile of relief. "I always will come back for you..." You croaked out, your own eyes filling with tears.

"I was so worried I'd never get to hear your voice again," Giyuu breathed before leaning down and gently hugging you with one arm. You gasped in horror. "G-Giyuu...! Your arm-" "A small sacrifice in the end. I would rather lose my arm than lose you." Giyuu gave you another smile, this one tired but filled with so many emotions; relief, pain, comfort, regret, joy, all of these cycling through those gorgeous ocean blue eyes that never failed to captivate you. __________________ Years have passed since the final battle, and you and Giyuu have settled into a nice routine on your shared estate. He's grown more sickly over time, but you never minded, choosing to savor your time with your beloved. It was normal to watch the sunsets in your garden after dinner, fingers laced together like puzzle pieces as you looked out over the landscape, both of you filled with a gentle happiness for your time spent eradicating demons and treasuring each other's hearts. It's these evenings you reflect upon your life while exchanging glances with your beloved husband, a whisper of a smile on his lips whenever your eyes meet. You reflect upon your grandfather's dying words often in these moments, your eyes tracing over Giyuu's soft and tired features, your memories of when he first smiled in your presence and leading you down the trails to all the others, the many grins he's worn over time while with you, causing your own lips to curl upwards in fondness. Giyuu himself finds that he recounts the old words you shared with him in the past, catching onto the tiny details in the contours of your face, eyes trailing over all of you and stopping on the damaged hairpin you refused to ever dispose of, recalling the day he truly found himself falling in love with you being the same as when he gifted you the hairpin. He remembers each bright show of joy that ever crossed your features, the constant warmth you offered him despite his awkward chill. You were remarkable and never truly left his mind when he fell in love, and you felt the same regarding him as you've told each other during late night talks in bed, both adoring just how much you loved one another. All of it felt almost as simple as breathing.

Giyuu looked at you like you were the one to hang the sun in the sky for him, which, to him, you were. "Indeed, my love," he replied, removing his hand from yours to cup your cheek. "I feel lucky to have yours for the rest of my life." "As am I, my dear," you uttered, the pair of you getting lost in each other under the warm glow of the setting sun.

“Sasuke didn’t care about Naruto or Sakura”

I HATE when I see those type of comments being made. In fact, it’s concerning how many times I’ve seen someone make a comment along the lines of, “Sasuke didn’t care about his team”/“Sasuke hated Naruto”/“Sasuke hated Sakura”, etc etc. Sasuke may seem ‘cold-hearted’ and ‘emotionless’, but he clearly and consistently shows his care and affection towards his teammates and friends.

It was Sasuke that first offered Naruto his lunch. Out of the whole team, it was Sasuke that first took in the lesson of teamwork.

Despite the fact that Sasuke didn’t even want a team to begin with, believing that they would get in his way, it was Sasuke that first showed that he was willing to die for his team. He was willing to throw away his goal and his own life for Naruto’s sake.

Sasuke saw that Sakura was feeling under-confident, he actually noticed she wasn’t okay, how she was feeling, and made sure she felt confident again. Look at how he smiles to her and to himself when he sees that he restored her confidence. (Won’t forgive SP butchering this scene)

Look at how Sasuke is willing to, once again, sacrifice himself for both Naruto and Sakura. He’s willing to put himself in danger, risk his very life for them as their safety in that moment is his top priority.

Before Itachi’s came back to kidnap Naruto and mindfuck traumatised Sasuke even MORE than he already was, Sasuke prioritised his team above all else. Ever since the massacre, he had dedicated his life to avenging them and taking down Itachi, but he was willing to throw away that goal and his very own life if it meant keeping Naruto and Sakura safe.

Like how they butchered the scene with Sasuke making Sakura feel better, I also feel like they don’t properly convey Sasuke’s emotions in certain scenes which gives him a more ‘emotionless’ feel.

Anyways, I just wanted to make a Sasuke appreciation post. He was one of the characters who went through the most pain, the most mental torture, the most heartache, but despite that, after the massacre, he was still a boy with lots of love on his heart.

Rina/Rhino/Kangaroo Dynamics and Lore

A short requested list of lore and headcanons regarding my TPoF OC/MC Marina, and Fox’s guards.

a/n: Thank you for this request! I’m always happy to answer any questions about my OC and how she fits in to the TPoF world, haha. Hopefully I’ll write actual one-shots when I have the time, as I really do love writing. ❤️‍🩹 Thank you again for this kind request! ❤️‍🩹

Rina/Rhino/Kangaroo Lore 🐇🦏🦘

Pre-Auction

First off…Rhino and Kangaroo are the ones who kidnapped Rina for Fox’s human product auction.

The two had surveilled Rina’s routine for about a month before kidnapping her after she had left early from an alcohol-filled get-together that had gone awry.

They had a physical profile to work off of for a “desired product” sought out by big human auction spenders. (Celia, Derek, and Mason)

Marina, among a few other targets, fit this physical profile, but Marina was ultimately the one snatched up for this specific auction.

Kangaroo is the one who anesthetized her, while Rhino is the one who held her down while Kangaroo sedated her.

Livestream Arc

Rhino and Kangaroo are of course the two goons that accompany Fox each time he visits Rina is her cell.

Each day, one of them brought Rina food. Rhino was generally more polite when placing food for Rina, being careful to not make a mess, while Kangaroo tended to shove the plate of food through the slot in the door with a bit of force, almost as if he was in a hurry.

Rhino did not watch the livestreams Marina co-starred in, while Kangaroo watched the streams on his phone outside of Fox’s streaming room.

Rhino is the one who called for medical help after Rina stabbed herself in her third and final gore livestream.

Ultimately, Rhino and Kangaroo did not think Marina would live past her final livestream.

After Fox Keeps Rina

For a while, Fox keeps a guard posted at his residence to watch over Rina while he is away working.

Fox trusts only Rhino and Kangaroo with his most precious pet, and would never let any other set of guards watch over her while he was away.

Fox orders only one guard to stay with Rina at a time, having Rhino and Kangaroo alternate, rarely ever watching her together, as he himself needs a guard while on duty at his job.

The only time Rhino and Kangaroo ever watch Rina together is when Fox allows Rina to go into the city to shop without him and only the guards. (This is a privilege she gains after Fox is certain that she really is the obedient girl he is molding her to be.)

Rina is to never stray far from the guards, and Kangaroo is basically on her heels the entire outing. Rhino is always close behind, keeping a lookout for any potential dangers that could transpire in their outing.

Once the need for Rina to be guarded at Fox’s residence is no longer needed, Rina rarely sees them outside of outings, and the off chance Fox takes her to work in which she has to stay in his office the entire time.

How the guards interact with Rina

Rhino 🦏

Personally for me, I see Rhino more as a gentle giant type, and write him as such in his and Rina’s dynamic. :)

Rhino calls Rina, “Miss Marina.” :)

He is the more willing of the two to indulge in Rina’s hobbies alongside her when guarding her.

This includes building puzzles together, holding yarn while Rina practices her knitting, helping her with some artsy crafts, or watching her play video games.

Rhino is quite patient with Rina, and doesn’t find her shyness to be much of an obstacle, even in the beginning where she would not even speak two words to him.

Eventually, Marina does open up to Rhino, and finds his presence calming despite her situation. His patience and soft spoken personality is reminiscent of her deceased older brother, leading her to feel more comfortable with him in a strange way.

Rhino is usually more than willing to make food for Rina, considering she is not allowed to make food for herself.

In a way, Rhino pities Marina. She is not a bad person, she has never done anything wrong, she was just merely unlucky.

When shopping, Rhino is usually the one tasked with carrying Rina’s shopping bags. He does not mind one bit. :)

Once relieved of his post at Fox’s residence when Rina no longer needs to be watched, Rhino takes it much better than Kangaroo, and is happy to be given his routine at the bunker back in order.

Kangaroo 🦘

In my headcanon, Kangaroo is a bit more on the abrasive side. He’s not gentle, and he can be a bit brash with his words and actions, so I write him as such to fit into his and Rina’s dynamic. :’)

Kangaroo calls Rina, “Pet,” or “Princess.” (Condescendingly of course)

Kangaroo hates watching Marina. He considers this side of his job as “babysitting,” and “not in his job description.”

In comparison to Rhino, Kangaroo is much more impatient with Rina in the beginning of their interactions.

If Rina stutters or trips on her words, Kangaroo is sure to mock her by mimicking her stutter, or chastise her by telling her “I don’t have all day, pet.”

Kangaroo does not go out of his way to interact with Rina on a “human-level.” She’s more or less just a task for him to complete.

Kangaroo is the less likely of the two to make food for Marina, opting to order food for delivery on Fox’s dime.

Kangaroo is a bit of a domineering presence in Fox’s residence when watching Rina, so in turn, Rina tends to keep her distance from Kangaroo.

Though Rina is always on her best behavior around him, Kangaroo still finds ways to note misbehavior to Fox at the end of his shift.

During scheduled outings, Kangaroo is always on high alert, keeping a watchful eye on Rina, much more than he would while watching her in Fox’s residence.

Despite his abrasive behavior towards her, once he and Rhino are no longer needed to guard Rina in Fox’s residence, he harbors some bittersweet feelings now that Rina is trained well enough to not need to be watched anymore.

Once relieved of his post at Fox’s residence, he’ll say that he misses the “babysitting bonus,” but Rhino likes to think that he just misses Rina above all. :)

Fox’s Rules for the Guards

Though Fox trusts his guards with his darling Rina, he does have a set of guidelines and rules he has in place for them to follow. Violation of these rules could result in the demotion or termination of their position in Fox’s operation.

Do NOT touch Rina.

Unless advised or instructed, it is best to keep your hands off of Rina.

Do NOT punish Rina.

Take note of any misbehaviors she may display, and report back to Fox at the end of each shift. (Fox will dole out punishments for Rina.)

Do NOT let Rina cook.

If Rina gets hungry, please make her something to eat.

If cooking is out of the question, please order food for delivery.

Do NOT let Rina go outside.

Unless scheduled and approved by Fox, Rina must stay in Fox’s residence.

Keep Rina away from things that could harm her.

Knives, scissors, or anything sharp should be locked away securely and only be handled by guards.

Secure all possible escape exits.

Ensure that the front door and windows are indeed locked or not conducive to becoming an escape route.

Do NOT follow Rina into the restroom.

There are no locks on the doors, if you feel Rina is taking too long in the restroom, please avoid barging in unless she does not answer you verbally.

BONUS: NSFW Notes

Just a few NSFW things to note! I don’t see Rhino or Kangaroo actually indulging in Rina’s body unless instructed by Fox, but I could see unsavory thoughts/acts crossing their minds.

If Rina wasn’t Fox’s pet, Kangaroo would fancy Rina and hearing her squeal as he fucks into her mercilessly. She is more or less his “type:” Innocent, shy, almost begging to be violated (in his mind, lmao.)

If instructed, Rhino and Kangaroo would most definitely engage in group sex with Fox and Rina.

Fox gets off on displaying his power over people, so ordering his goons to fuck his pretty little pet to contentment as he watches (or joins in) makes his cock twitch at the thought of it.

I can't wait to see his gameplay!!

Also his name is Hullaballoo which is Perfect as someone else mentioned somewhere that after Bernard's death Mike was the one who would have taken over the circus. I also like it bc it seems out of all the involved characters, Mike's really the one who saw the circus as his family and his everything. It would make sense he would take that as his name in his hunter identity, which he gained while trying to find the one who destroyed Hullaballoo circus, since the name is all that's really left of it anymore.

The temporary roguelike mode and Scribbled ideas are interesting! I see all kinds of good chaos coming from that XDDD While I don't think I'll use scribbled ideas much myself, I'd love to see what other people come up with. I think it's great the devs are pushing the boundaries of what they can do with the game now.

I already predict the Hullaballoo map is going to make me laugh and cry bc it's what used to be and should have been but for the Massacre. I hope to see Jeffery in his prime taking care of his animals ;u;

back to the Hullaballoo event I'm PSYCHED for the new music coming out!!! I always love new songs to learn and the vibe of hullaballoo in particular has always been a weakness of mine.

█                          "AND THAT IS WHY you shouldn't use your lasers on your brother" Tara finished her one hour long presentation made in PowerPoint with proud smile on her face. As she closed her laptop, she saw that Nora and Billy felt asleep listening her preach about dangerous side of their superpowers. She looked permissively on them and let out quite chuckle, she wasn't mad at them, because she knew that they were only teenagers who didn't like when someone was lecturing them about their behaviour. She took a book from coffee table and smashed it on it hard to woke up the kids, they hopped a little looking around confused. They met Tara's glare and sighed with tiredness.

"Billy remind me to tell parents that we don't want to stay with Tara anymore" Nora said to her half asleep brother, rolling her eyes.

"Hey! Max and your parents said it's an amazing presentation" Tara argue, imitating sad tone. In reality she knew that kids wouldn't be amazed by her work, but she doesn't cared, and let's be honest she couldn't stay mad at these kids.

"They said this, because Max is your boyfriend and our parents are well. . . our parents" Billy said and Tara just chuckled. "Okay kiddos, you're free to go and play for a bit, but no lasers!" she mimic Barb's serious voice.

Of course they didn't listen her at all, and the second after she turned back, kids started their little silly game one again.

Tara couldn't understand how she love those kiddos just like she would love her own children, of course it could be because she knew them when they were a little babies, but maybe the real reason why she acted like that was because of her lack of mother in childhood. Tara grew up without one parent, she hasn't had the worst childhood possible, in fact she has pleasant memories with her dad goofing around, as he tried to be the "cool" parent, but now as he was kinda sucked into business game, he wasn't in home that much.

That's why Tara was sometimes jealous about Max's family, they were just so perfect in her eyes that it made her mad every time her precious little girlfriend, acted negligent when it came to the family issues. As she heard the front door slammed, she turned around and saw Max who had his guitar on his back.

He saw a laptop on the table and a grimace showed up on his face.

"So you actually showed them this presentation?" he sat down on the couch, looking at her with disbelief.

"Well of course? They need to know about the consequences of their actions, lasers are a dangerous weapon" she said, as if that was something really obvious, "plus hey! you said it wasn't that bad" she said acting a bit offended.

"I guess we all need to lie from time to time" he grinned as Tara just playfully rolled her eyes, but a little smile appeared on her lips.

"You're a dork" she laughed as she sat down next to him, kissing him on the cheek. "So what about I will do a presentation for you and Phoebe about how dangerous is to freeze your own siblings?" of course she wouldn't do such a thing (even if Phoebe will probably like to see her brother suffer during the lecture) but it was always okay to joke.

"God no, when you're lecturing you sound like my mom and I don't want to imagine you're my mom, that's terrifying" Max said with truly scared tone, trying to not imagine his girlfriend as Barb. Tara needed to bite on her tongue to not say, that Max often acts like a little baby, who just needs their mother so they won't kill themselves.

idk how to start but I am SO confused about that last look of a flabbergasted Francesca when she meets Michaela? WHAT WAS THAT? i haven't read the books so excuse me for that 😭

some thoughts-

+ they are wasting away Benedict. they are wasting his potential and story and what all he could be. he felt so...out of place, confused and useless this season. half of his scenes were of him having sex that was not going ANYWHERE. i love Benny so much but i want shonda to treat this President of Pookie Nation with care and love. I want the story to respect Benedict because his character has so much potential and so much to offer. He hides behind his charming smiles and taunts but his eyes are always sad. As if he is looking for something-this one crucial piece of puzzle and he cannot seem to find it. shonda babes you better sharpen your quill.

+ all the instances that were supposed to be happy for Pen- the marriage, the engagement, the wedding night, ALL OF IT WAS RUINED BECAUSE of that stupid LW secret.

+Kate and Anthony still the best couple i do not make the rules. i don't think even Polin is topping them. tho Kate is certainly topping Anthony tonight.

+ the season was good don't get me wrong but it felt..a bit... rushed and its like the writers are focusing more on the future than savour the present. everything is happening because of the future seasons. idk if that makes sense

+i DID NOT like violet's treatment of kilmartin. i like violet most of the time but she didn't have to act so "unsure", distant and sloppy with kilmartin.

+Francesca gave some slippery vibes as if she is hiding something. or is it just me?

+I don't know why everyone is bashing Eloise so much. I pity her so much. She has kept the sword aside, she stopped fighting but she looks SO LONELY. she is not always the easiest person and she is whiny but i wish i could give her the tightest hug and talk day and night. maybe I see myself in her too much that i am defending her.

+i like they included hyacinth and Gregory this season, they are so precious.

+ i liked cressida's redemption arc but I think Lady Featherington might have won this one. She made peace with Pen in her own tight lipped fashion but i love that for her, i am not going to lie.

+ oh, cressida. i feel too bad for her. i do. but I do not sympathise with her. i actually do not know what to think of her at all.

+mr and Mrs mondrich yassssss slaying as always so cool so suave i love them

+once again, KANTHONY💅🏻🕺🏻✨🥰✨⭐✨💫❤️❤️❤️ ALWAYS AND FOREVER

+ Best acting this entire season- Claudia Jessie. She is just too good.

+LADY DANBURY' storyline was TOO DAMN GOOD. Her pain, the sweet moments between violet and her, how she confronted her brother. She is simply sublime. One of my fav characters. Again, i love my boy Benny but Lady Danbury had a better storyline than whatever the heck his story was trying to achieve.

Abt benedict : i'm afraid they are just going to use him off but apparently next season is about him so we'll, but yeah, appart from the sex scenes we had nothing more of him 🥲

Abt LW secret and all : I absolutely hated colin's reaction to pen's power and his stupid jalousy that he has all bc she is more sucsesfull than he will ever be and that she was able to build all of it by herself and her own labour and NO ONE praised her for that exept mme delacroix

Abt kanthony : i loved them sm but why werd they randomly popping on and out. I honestly lost track of them at some point

Abt the season writing : after discussing with a friend, we thought that the season did not have the same pattern as the others, especially part 2 which seemed a bit weird, as if not wrote by the same person

Abt violet : i used to be always like " i could never hate her " but now she just pissed me off. Girl, u can see that your daughter is happy and she found someone she's confortable with so why being such a brat ???

Abt Éloïse : i understand that she felt lonely and all but she is such a bad friend, took cressida for granted, just using her and not even caring for anyone but herself

Abt lady featherington : i had the feeling her "redemption arc " was forced and unatural
