some serious Silver food headcanons though:

he can cook. badly. he can cook food that is edible from ingredients that are more than a little dubious. the main goal is to make it safe, so everything is over cooked, not quite burnt but cooked enough that is cooked beyond a doubt. food has never been about pleasure.

i also joke endlessly about Silver eating garbage, but in his future, a lot of the foraging for food will turn up things that could seriously be mistaken as garbage. not that it bothers him, most edible things in his world have been through just as much as him

discovering sugar was. a rough day. IT WAS TOUGH. he ate more than he had ever had in his life combined and got VERY SICK from it. he's hesitant about it now, cause the first experience was a very nasty one
