Unpopular opinion.  They’re both dealing with stuff and Cordell is not Liam’s therapist.  I’m not thrilled with Liam’s attitude about this right now.  But I assume that’s what they’re showing us. They’re both trying to deal and it’s not working.

Walker 4.03 | how to say i love you by Cordell

One of my favourite scenes from Walker is when Cordell is called to identify Emily's body. The setting is already so sorrowful but Jared's acting makes it even more heartbreaking. Cordell sees his wife, the love of his life, the mother of their children lying cold and lifeless. His expressions here are so hauntingly beautiful. It's not a frozen face with a single man tear. No, you can see his face crumble, eyes fluttering with unshed tears. He is trying hard not to break down but the flatlining of those lips as he bites back a sob is telltale sign of his failure. For a whole minute there's just grief, nothing else. Then he remembers someone needs to inform the kids and you can see a moment of horror. How is he going to break that news? Ugh!

Jared Padalecki is a brilliant actor. He can evoke emotions in the viewers and that's fantastic.

i love how jared's characters are so awkward LIKE giggling because you wouldn't think cordell would be so awkward but he IS HE'S SOOO AWKWARD HEHEHE like he's a whole ass texas ranger and all that, had the most gorgeous wife, a not that awkward brother, and two children but he is... so awkward. such an awkward dad.. awkward son awkward brother awkward friend awkward lover like my mans is CONSTANTLY stuttering and tripping over his words and fumbling for what to say and it is soooo endearing because he's this absolutely gorgeous, broad, strong, 6'4" texas ranger. and he is so awkward <33 about like.. literally everything. but he's trying so hard! he's trying so hard to talk through things and be more vulnerable and more helpful and more caring and i adore him soooo much!

I'm stuck on the funeral scene in last night's episode. At first it bugged me because it felt like an excuse for AF to show of her Shakespeare quote-recalling skills, but then I started thinking about it in terms of character and now it makes me laugh. Of course Cordell is a guy--a character we haven't seen read or mention anything literary in four seasons of the show--who, in his mind, would believe he "loved" Shakespeare to the point that his kids would mention it as his funeral. EDIT: I have been informed that my memory of this is incorrect, and that Shakespeare has appeared before once or twice in the series. Clearly, I have only watched each episode once. It feels like dudes who say that The Great Gatsby is their favorite book because they read it in high school and it's one of the only books they've examined on a deeper level. AF's choice of quotes supports this--they were recognizable to anyone who's spent any amount of time with Shakespeare's texts--and pulled from different plays, and many of them have made their way into popular culture by this point (with the exception of Kelly's, which was an admittedly deeper cut lol). It's like knowing the first part of the Hamlet's fourth soliloquy and claiming you "love Shakespeare."

One thing that irritates me about this season in particular is that they've introduced character beats unsupported by the previous three seasons. They've told us rather than shown us most of this stuff, and the viewers are just supposed to accept it, I guess.

I'm sorry that the show was cancelled because I have sympathy towards the cast and crew who will lose their jobs. I am not sorry from a viewer standpoint because I think the show is mid on its best days, and I'm more interested in watching these folks put their energies towards something more interesting.

Cordell normally wear fit clothes, especially shirts and sleveless sweaters in flat colors mostly. But if he was to dress differently he would wear big comfy warm sweaters. Big warm and funny sweaters actually

Yakup! Always dresses so formal. But if he wanna choose some other option, he would stay away from shirts(long slevees ugh) and black color. He likes warm and natural colors

Aaand our baggy clothes lover and "too hot to wear too much clothes" Night. Im now letting you know, they KNOW they would slay formal wear. Oh they would.
