“Did you remember to set your alarms back on? Since I won’t be able to wake you up in the morning for studio.”

Wilbur nodded. His face was still buried in my neck as my arms wrapped around him.

“Okay, I also premade some meals in the fridge for you to warm up so you don’t have to spend too much money on takeout.”

“Mhmm.” He hummed, nose buried into the scent of my collar.

“Oh, and don’t stay up past 2 AM—”

Wilbur’s soft chuckle vibrated against my skin before he pulled away, both hands on my shoulders. “It’s okay, (y/n).” He smiled. “I’m going to be okay.”

It was typical for Wilbur and I not to see each other often in person. There were times when I would have to travel abroad for filming and acting. Then there was Will, who would be on the other side of the country performing big gigs for thousands of people live. Ever since we moved in together though, things felt a bit more domesticated. For the rare times we were able to be in the same house together, we would never leave each other's schedule. Whether it would be me being Wilbur’s alarm clock, or Wilbur being my walking grocery shopping list. The moment we gave each other the house keys it was a sacred promise that we would be there for each other no matter what.

“I just— want to make sure, my love.” I mumbled. A soft smile pulled on his lips before he leaned down to give me a passionate kiss. I held onto his jacket collar tightly, using my tippy toes to reach the tall bastard. Strands of his hair tickled my face, but it was an itch I would miss for weeks. We finally pulled away, staring into each other’s eyes.

“Text me when you land, okay?” He requested softly. His eyes gleamed with the blaring airport ceiling lights. I reached up again to kiss every square inch of his face. His hands wrapped around my wrists as I held the sides of his head. Giggles erupted from him. Even with a peck to the nose, dimples, and the small freckle near his eye, I had to force myself to be satisfied so I wouldn’t miss my flight. Once I pulled away, I caressed my thumb against his cheek. His eyes still focused on me.

“I’ll text you, I promise.”

And with that, we waved each other goodbye before enduring the long process of getting my bags checked to a couple of hours’ flight on the plane to Columbia, where our movie was going to be filmed. I didn’t know much about the movie other than I’ll be starring as a character with a mask stalking the main group of protagonists. Either way, I was excited to be a part of a big film in production yet again, and even more excited to see what ideas and talent will be brought to the table.

Once I landed I took a taxi to the hotel I was stationed to be at, and tomorrow will start the production of costume fitting and script reviewing. Wilbur knew most of the script by heart by this point. Some days when he would be at home most of the time, he could hear me practicing the same lines over and over again, to the point that sometimes he would burst into the room, completing the scene.

I would be standing in the living room with my script on my phone. “You’re not supposed to be here!” I rehearsed. I had to make sure the tone of my voice sounded like I wanted to be in authority like I was feared, but with a hint of worriment, as if I was, in reality, terrified of the situation. “With broken masks and guts used to hang our people, you monsters—”

“You monsters have done nothing but tournament us and pushed us back!” Wilbur cried, bursting through the front door. In a burst of shock, I yelped, tripping over a pillow and falling onto the couch. “ Now weep on your fucking knees, because you don’t know what’s next!” Wilbur would place his guitar and bags down before jumping over the couch, pouncing on top of me.

“Ow—! Wilbur—! Stop!” I screamed between giggles. His hands would be all over my body, tickling my sides.

I smiled fondly at the memories but felt that aching in my chest because I missed him so much already. It was the next day now, and I was headed to the location where most of our production planning would be. It was a big warehouse somewhat to the outskirts of the city. I was greeted by the director, who was a big jolly man with thick black glasses and a fuzzy beard framing his face.

“Hello, hello!” He greeted, eagerly shaking my hand. Confused yet amused, I gladly shook his hand back. “You must be, (y/n) right?” He asked.

I chuckled a little. “Uh, yup. That’s me!” I smiled proudly. He clasped his hands together and grinned.

“I’ve been thinking about your audition since it happened, (y/n)! We’re super glad to have you as part of our team.” He beamed. “Now come, come! We’ll be getting measurements and showing you some prototypes of what your costume may look like. By the end of the day, we should have everything ready for you.” The director turned around, walking toward a small room as I trailed behind. Looking around, I saw the set assembled with blocks while there were drawing boards of what the set should look like after editing it all together.

We walked into the dressing room and the director introduced me to these two women who will be taking my measurements and doing my makeup. After introductions, he left to take care of other stations on the set. I stood on a circular platform as one woman took some fabric measuring tape to get my exact sizes.

Together we all made some small talk like how was my flight, how long they’d been working in the industry, and things of that nature. “So, (y/n), do you have a boyfriend?” Leslie, the one doing my makeup, asked. If there wasn’t a pale white layer of foundation on my face, they would’ve been sure to see the blush creeping on my cheeks.

“I-I do actually. He’s a musician and streamer.” I stuttered. Leslie looked over to Hazel, who was the lady taking my measurements.

“That sounds exciting! A musician and actress together!” She gleamed. “That’s a whole movie in itself, isn’t it?”

“We’re working on a horror movie, Leslie, not a romantic comedy.” Hazel clarified, jotting down the last of my measurements. I chuckled at her little clarification before my phone buzzed on the vanity table. I looked over to Hazel and as if she read my mind, she nodded her head towards it so that I may have permission to answer.

I trotted over toward my phone, realizing it was Wilbur who was calling me. Immediately, I swiped to answer.

“Hey, honey,” I smiled. “What’re you doing calling me at this hour?” I asked.

“(y/n)! I missed you—! And so does chat. Chat also misses you.” He quickly clarified. “If you couldn’t tell, I’m streaming. Can I see you? It feels like I haven’t seen you in ages.”

“You saw me yesterday, Will!” I exclaimed, sitting in the vanity chair.

“Hm,” he hummed. “Not important. Let me see you.” I rolled my eyes before looking at myself in the mirror, eyes widening from how unrecognizable I looked. My face was pure white and half of it was decorated with large, bloodied teeth. Contacts were put in to give me tiny pupils with slight red veins to make it look like my eyes were wide and strained. I had under-eye scars that looked like stitches. Leslie came up to me, holding a detailed red mask of what looked like the devil with the most twisted smile and haunting horns.

“Don’t forget this!” Leslie chimed. I smiled taking it in my grasp. I turned back to Wilbur, who already had his video call on with a silly angle of the camera too close to his face.

“Alright, Will, prepare yourself. Don’t show this to chat because this is a huge spoiler, I’m pretty sure.” I warned. I turned on my camera but made sure it was pointing in my lap. Looking up in the mirror I hovered the mask over my face and then pointed the camera toward the mirror. I watched Wilbur back away from his camera to get a better angle. With one eyebrow raised and a head tilt, he smiled.

“Well, that’s a cool fuckin’ mask but I’m trying to see my (y/n)!” He commented. Slowly, I moved the mask away and his jaw dropped to the floor before a huge smile grew across his face.

“(y/n)! Oh my god, you look so fucking cool! Is that going to be the look for the movie?!” He asked, almost bouncing up and down in his seat like a little boy. I softly giggled, amused by his eagerness.

“Mhmm,” I hummed. “Do you like it?”

“Dude I fucking love it. You look amazing.” He said, cheek resting in his palm. “I wish I could show chat this. You look so fuckin’ cool.” I tried smiling at him, but it only made the teeth look scarier, causing me to laugh. Wilbur noticed my struggle and giggled at my antics.

“Ah, shit, I can’t even give my loving boyfriend a cute little smile!” I exclaimed.

“I love that giant, toothy, monstrous smile anyway, darling! Don’t worry. You’re my cute lil’ demon.” He assured. I sarcastically groaned at the cheesy nickname. He paused, looking at me in admiration before sitting back up. “Alright, well, chat keeps calling me a simp, so I have to go.”

“You are the biggest simp.” I commented.

“Oh, shut up,” he said, squinting at me. “Call me when you get back to your hotel, okay? I love youuuu—”

“I love you tooooooo—” We both dragged the end of our sentence until Wilbur hung up. I leaned back into my chair, an enamored sigh escaping my lips.

Even if he isn’t next to me as I go through the biggest stages of my career, he still finds a way to encourage this heart of mine to pursue my dreams.

girlies i'm reading "being elvis - a lonely life" by ray connolly at the moment and it makes me really emotional...

in the first half of the book the author focusses quite alot on the colonel and his toxic relationship with elvis... i know their story ist an old story but it never fails to make me angry every time i get confronted with it/ think about it... and in this book you get to learn quite a lot of new details about the colonel's wicked persona and how he took advantage of his 'golden boy', he even stated himself that he saw elvis as his very expensive hobby and only cared for the money.

and then look at the quote up above... "i love you like a father"... nooo baby please you deserve so much better... reading things like that feels like when you're watching a movie and you can't even bear to continue, cause the main character is naive and not knowing he's getting himself more and more into trouble and you can't do nothing but watch him fall 🥹

it's so unfair how that poor sweet country boy just says yes to anything and stays so loyal and thankful 'cause of course he's grateful that he can finally provide for his family... he has such a big, soft heart and then that real life villain makes him work like a circus horse and just takes eveything from him... he's pure evil, you can't tell me other wise. i once heard some elvis fans say that he wasn't as bad as he's always portrayed, that he did elvis good... nu-uh no way i'm sorry, all i'm reading screams devil to me, even e's mother knew from the beginning!

I’m honestly confused about the Tenoch situation.

I'm gonna sum it up and if you need more info just go through my Tenoch Huerta tag

A few days ago, Elena Rios, (a survivor of an acid attack/attempted femicide from her politician ex boyfriend who hired someone to attack her in 2019, is an advocate for laws to protect women and a saxophonist) calls out Poder Prieto on twitter (a company that is supposed to promote the fight against racism that she and Tenoch were a part of in years past but are both no longer a part of/have distanced themselves from it) for using her music/work in a podcast that she did not authorize and was not paid for, and in that tweet also claims that Tenoch is a Sexual Predator, and then goes on to claim he assaulted her and many others and that Poder Prieto covered it up because Tenoch is a Big Celebrity.

Poder Prietro replies that they didn't use her work. However this company is shady because earlier in the year they stole credit of textile art (a cape) from an indigenous artist lady and then tried for months to discredit her and claim she was lying about making the cape. The truth came out, the woman was credited by Tenoch when he finally found out what happened and he made amends with her even though he didn't know what was going on but wanted to make things right. So again, both Tenoch and Elena have left/distanced themselves from this company.

Elena spent days repeating this accusation and claiming she had more to say but that she was afraid to say it because Tenoch is a Big Celebrity. Multiple journalists reached out to her to get more details and she blocks them, many people who ask her to post something more concrete or evidence or even details of an incident she ignores or blocks them. She says she will post more when she is ready. She later deletes the tweet where she specifically said that Tenoch assaulted her and many others.

The internet/media goes insane, people take sides, both Tenoch and Elena get massive amounts of hate/death threats and insults. Racists are having a field day and people already assume that Tenoch is an abuser.

Tenoch takes a couple days to respond in a formal post on Instagram stating that he and Elena were once a couple who had a consensual loving relationship that ended a year ago and that after that she had begun misrepresenting their relationship to their mutual friends and in private. Tenoch also says he has people who knew/witnessed them during their time as a couple who could back him up that it was not an abusive relationship. And that he has legal personal who he hired a few months ago because of her claims. This means whatever this was, was a private dispute before Elena posted it on twitter. Elena did not once mention that she and Tenoch were in a relationship or that they broke up before the publicity of the Wakanda Forever movie.

Elena responds that she cannot respond to Tenoch's statement because she is busy promoting laws to protect women from abusers like him and his fans who sent her death threats. The only screenshots of messages she posted were of random fans death/hate messages. She does not once post anything specific about her claims.

This is now a "he said, she said" situation, and until Elena posts something official or presents evidence, or whatever, then there is no news. However because this is the internet, people either believe Tenoch or Elena and think the other is a liar, meanwhile the racist people who hated Tenoch and have tried for years to destroy his career are using this against him. No other women have come forward with any claims of abuse by Tenoch as of yet.

That's all that happened and this is the final ask I will answer to explain everything because I know there's alot of misinformation out there.

NR.1 BAKUGOU X ANYONE

okay so here is the deal. This is not because I am really big fan of Bakugou. But the thing is, I feel like Katsuki is the type of person to be married to his job instead of an actual human being. (Ouch)

I know there are many writers who ship him with many different people, deku, uraraka, camie, kirishima etc. but I just don’t feel like he fits with any of those people to be honest.

I know the ship between deku and Bakugou is very popular among many but like, as I’ve said before in my previous posts, I don’t like bully to lover. And yes I know, “he did this n that because he was insecure” still, I don’t think they’d fit together even if Bakugou didn’t bully him.

I see them more as friends, or like hero-work buddies. Kirishima on the other hand is his best friend so there could be alot more potential, but still a no for me. Which brings me on the next point…

NR.3 URARAKA X ANYONE BUT DEKU

This girl doesn’t fit with anyone besides deku in my opinion, I know I know they are many popular ships like her and toga, her and Bakugou, her and idfk.

I don’t think she looks good with anyone besides deku, i mean he pushed her to be a better hero, he pushed her to be more power and confident in herself etc. I hate to break it to some of you, but Uraraka and deku is the main ship that the author is focusing on if y’all haven’t noticed.

Let me say this one final time, toga x uraraka is 🙅‍♀️. Because I don’t like the rival / bully to lover shit.

NR.3 MOMO X TODOROKI

LISTEN, I know this is one of the main ships y’all don’t have to tell me, I don’t think it’s really fucking bad I mean there could be potential in the future or there could’ve been potential that I haven’t noticed before. And the ship itself isn’t so bad but LISTEN.

I just feel like that they don’t fit together because Todoroki is like this self conscious person that had several traumas and then there is momo the rich girl with like a super happy & cutsy aura.

I feel like if they got together momo would have to put in all the effort into the relationship itself and teaching Todoroki how to play a role in a relationship. Which doesn’t sound so bad, but it also sounds kinda tiring. Like it’s cute when you teach your boyfriend what it is like to love and be loved but it’s also kinda annoying when you have to put in everything by yourself until your partner gets a grip Yk?

Again this ship isn’t so bad in my opinion, and there could be future potential.

NR.4 TOGA X DEKU

I feel like y’all r tired of me speaking about how much I dislike the rival / bully to lovers trope. But I am not done yet because this ship is on a whole new level.

This ship in my opinion is one of the worst if not the worst. Miss girl literally hurt him many times, fought with him, she is literally the opposite of what deku is & what he likes.

I don’t know how some people can look at them and think ‘yep, there is definitely love in the air here’ like how do you see it, because teach me your ways. 😀

How did you get into School Zone and what got you hooked on it?

Back then in 2022/2021?? i think? I was searching for some yuri/ GL to read cus i want to read that stuff more and i rlly wants the one that r yk good and stuff

I saw school zone cover but i cant tell if its the yokoe and kei running to the together or yokoe and kei sitting tgt with bunch of other chairs and the keep out sign

Anyway i immediately got hooked cus it looks pretty nice and stuff

I read it and pretty much fall in love

Im sort of always a big fan on slice of life type of media (but im also someone who love some kind of have a depth goin on media or just serious stuff depends on my mood)

At first the school zone seems like some kind of a comedy slice of life manga EXCEPT that its yuri which is amazing cus even though ive seen yuri with slice of life before i havent seen yet the one that r like this

And school zone girls comedy is hella funny especially its amazingly like how it depict on how a teenage girls act

And one thing is im pretty sure school zone girls is made by a woman

Bcs i dont trust that much men to write such an amazing depiction of how a high school girls act ( they always fumble it or just idk it doesnt feel much like it)

And especially school zone girls isnt written to be sexualization or male centered

All of the girls in school zone genuinely have their own personality and also depht! Cus the more u read the manga the more u know about them! Its soo good i love it so much

Cus i also wish other media make a media like how school zone does it! And i wish there was more media thats more of a girls centered (girl being the mc or just more girls character with interesting personality)

Literally rn after rereading school zone for alot of times it got me lazy to start another media thats not girls centered (the girl being an mc or more girls character that feels like how girls are) because so many shows already have so much idk guys bein the mc or guys character being alot more

And especially the writing on the girls

School zone girls feels so prefect for me and thats why i keep om rereading it so many times

But even tho shes like that i think the execution is also not that bad

At first u thought shes that but the more u read and get into that serious chapter u become understand on how she works and stuff

Usually incest character always written as a WHY NOT and idk doesnt have more depht in it or just for stupid comedy purpose

Tsubaki just have more reason for it for me because of how we get to know her more

And i dont think the author (ningiyau) will make the incest thing happening anyway

Cus the more u read the more its more of

Tsubaki and hiiragi trying to meet people outside of each other (because back in middle school they pretty much isolate themselv from the world)

Difference is that tsubaki is more of TRYING to find friends to change

And hiiragi changing by unexpected event (utsugi)

And both of them still having this complicated sibling issues

(Especially tsubaki she got that attachment issues goin on and im interested in what will happen to her)

I think tsubaki and how it made her that way is already self explanatory in the manga

On top of that I rlly love her writing alot

Because at first or something she seems like those anime nice girl type of styff

Those anime girls whos always niceee especially to the mc or whatveer and usually male likers

But tsubaki is her own character

Shes anxious and stuff with people and also pessimistic with her situation(when theres seem to be no way out) ven though shes very talented with grades and sport

But she can also be optimistic when she sees the opportunity or solution to her situation

And she sees good stuff in people and she also easily influences(?) by others ( example yatsude trying to make some lie story about their club at firs shes like " ITS A LIE???" but then she started to get into it and excited "OMG NEW STORY WOW" And her with yokoe

Yokoe telling her which hand to pick and say stuff about i got expectation from u and she reactinf "wow expectation!!" And also reacting "huh!?" To her respond from picking the hand)

But yeah i rlly like tsubaki and all of the cast personality and ningiyau rlly do genuinely give so much depht in them

This yuri literally have so many characters with each of their oen personality and how so many dynamic could form from those characters and its just so refreshing to see!

(Also i loooove kaname and how shes written as i wanan get to know her more)

But anyway im pretty much rambling now but yeah i think what got me hooked is just of how funny and also fresh the characters are with their own personality (especially since theyr girls) and how ningiyau execute them and the story

I wish school zone isnt gonna be underrated anymore because this yuri deserves more recognition and loves (hopefully one day)

I think I’m healing.

Two specific moments.

I was teaching adult sex Ed at church yesterday. “Our whole lives.” Talking about consent and discussing what you want w your partner etc. the important shit.

One of my teaching partners whom I adore says he just finished reading the Handmaid’s Tale.

I responded surprisingly coherently. I lean over and say- I’ll share that I’ve written. ALOT of fan fiction for that story. Bc - the show fucked it up.

He’s like how? It’s a happy ending! Nick gets her out of the house!

I’m like yea. Yea. So imagine if seasons 2 and 3 are her back in the house? Being raped and tortured?

He’s like … what?

And it was so validating. Like yea. Someone bought rights to a SACRED romantic feminist warning tale. And MADE IT INTO MISOGYNY PORN. Bc rape wins EMMYS!

Someone brings up the testaments.

I’m like yup. Atwood saw where they were going. And wrote the ending. Which is love and hope. And she ensured nick couldn’t be killed.

The original author wrote more. To save her narrative.

That’s what fic is. The reclaiming of narratives. By the people most effected by the stories.

Then I quietly, casually mention. That if (if) he watches the show, which I don’t recommend beyond S1- IF he does. IF he gets to the S4 finale. To remind me to send him my 2 fics I wrote in 2018 that, combined, are the ending. Six feet deep and Ride or Die. I don’t know if the writers read fic. Or if we had parallel identical visions for what a happy ending looks like in Gilead- but either way- it makes me feel - like all the time I spent in that world meant something. Like it was valid and real and important. To me and others. Like I was on the right wavelength. My guess was close to the final answer.

Anyway be proud someone mentioned Nick Blaine in a social setting and I didn’t black out. I like- communicated all of that in 3 sentences. Yea. That’s one of my favorite stories. I’ve written a lot for them. Lmk if you get more into it. DONE! Like a normal person!!!

K so - then tonight my new friend (yes I have healed enough to make a new friend. I survived.) loves smut. Loves it. Seeks it out. Someone left a new comment on an old story tonight and it made my whole night. And my friend goes- send me a link! And I did! Bc I’m like- fully healed and ok with integrating the parts of myself? I don’t have to be high or drunk to be my sexual self. I’m not ashamed of that part of me? It’s not gross or bad. Like - this friend was AT THE ADULT SEX ED CLASS I TAUGHT! We are literally on the same page! She likes smut! I write smut! It’s ok!

Anyway. Big developments.

Oh boy, its thinking time again.

Though this time, I'm thinking about Mainline Dante and the "Black Sheep" for most fans, DmC Dante. Personally, I don't mind him and he grew on me in some cases. As much of a mess DmC is, playing through it recently after several years....I've seen crumbs of what could've been better than what we were given.

Of course, there's other things about the game that fairly rubs off on hardcore fans and I'm not gonna excuse the bad parts...[ahem] but there's things I like. The world building, parts of the lore....what they were trying to do with Dante as a character in the world setting...alas, I'll probably go on a talk about that stuff another time.

On topic of what I was going to talk about though. I was thinking back on the common reception of DmC and the fanarts of Main Dante beating the shit out of DmC Dante and I got to thinking...what if they actually DID meet each other? Would they respond similarly to these fan vent interpretations accordingly to their characters?

The answer, I think, would be a yes.

Not in the violent and aggressive "I hate you immediately" way, though. For this, I'm going to use DMC5 Dante for Main Dante, for the sake of how I've proccessed this inner question for myself.

For those who've played DmC and know of that Dante (and have paid attention to the story despite the icks), we know he's a fighter. He's been raised in the world that way due to his tragic and shitty upbringing. Same with him having anger issues amongst other things. He shares the impulsive nature Dante used to have back in Pre-DMC1 and DMC3, but cranked up abit.

He'd likely see Main Dante and purposely try to start shit cause he is a little shit like that. He's a teenager who's been through so much shit that he does not meld with people at all at first. He hates authority, is full of spite...yeeeeah....

I think Main Dante would entertain him and be willing to throw down with him because hell, man also loves a good fight and knowing this kid is another version of him? He'd be all over that to see just what the kid's made of.

Though I'd take this fight as Main Dante also trying to help the kid let off some steam, similar to how he handled Nero back in DMC4 when he was steamed and keen to rescue Kyrie and helped him regain a cool head before continuing on his quest.

The big difference between Nero and DmC Dante though, is that DmC Dante has even BIGGER anger issues. He's more violent. More spiteful. Fueled by how much worse he had it growing up. Had to watch his mother's heart get ripped out by Mundus, got seperated from his twin brother and had his memory sealed away....then he also had to deal with being in an orphanage ran by demons, in several foster homes and correction facilities (also, no surprise, ran by demons) so he went through alot of abuse growing up. Its how he knows the usual procedure of being detained and tries to give Kat advice as she's being arrested later on in the game.

He spent his entire life basically having to fight for it with no other choice.

As much of an edgy mess DmC is, it had so much messed up backstory for Dante himself...like aside from all the painfully forced edge of the setting most of the time....I can appreciate what they've molded in the cracks for the setting. Its fucked because the world he's in is fucked.

Anyway. Main Dante would probably let him get so much venting out through fighting, maybe try and try and help him work out his issues. Especially if this is seasoned DMC5 Dante. He's done it with Nero, he would do it again. It'd take alot and I mean ALOT of time I'd feel and I think Main Dante would even snap at DmC Dante over a few things, buuuut....I also feel like it'd eventually simmer down to a mutual understanding. Hell, Main Dante would likely see abit of his Pre-DMC1 and DMC3 selves in him. Kid's just abit more messed up and would need things drilled in more, but it IS stated that DmC Dante has a big heart buried beneath all that he displays. Hell, he shows it a few times in the game. He has a few moments.

I won't try and change minds on how people see him because I know DmC is a touchy subject for most hardcore fans and I get it, but you know. Personally, with it being an alternate reality at this point now that's still recognized by Capcom officially, I see it as harmless nowadays. We got mainline DMC swinging back, so its pretty much just there, haha.

I won't go into powerscaling (because that's a whole other beast of a rabbit hole I don't wanna poke into yet, even if I do think our Mainline Dante would win...the details of it will be thoughts for another time), but considering the circumstances of their characters and how situational it may be.....its just a thought. I dunno, the braincells just decided to think about this topic tonight, lmao.

Because bsd is one of the most brainrot inducing works of fiction i've engaged with in AWHILE. The story is so much fun to analyze and engage with. And it's biggest selling point, to me, is the characters.

Bsd's characters are so hard not to get obsessed with. Every character from the main one's you'll see around alot to the side character's you hardly see at all has thought behind them, their motivations, and thier morality. Bsd's characters are achingly human in a way I don't know if i can do justice in words. It's a story about character growth and change and you can feel it reading the manga, light novels, and the anime (when bones isn't making me want to pull my hair out). It might cause you emotional damage...but you will never run out of things to think about with this show and especially it's characters.

you might have gathered from my bsd posts (and generally bsd induced ramblings) related to the characters is the fact that absolutely no one in bsd is normal about each other. Which obviously lends itself well to shipping but besides that the character dynamics in general drive me up a wall /pos. I cannot stress enough how many partnerships are just in the show. Not romantic, not even platonic, just unspeakably weird about each other in a way which @cousticks so eloquently put as "everyone is gay enemies to lovers but won't admit it". and it truly does mean EVERYONE. I cannot stress enough how many pairing are in this show. and by pairings I do mean non-romantic, bsd isn't a romance focused story in the slightest, but it is character focused, and by extension character dynamic focused and there's so much to love and analyze with bsd's character dynamics

also it has one of my favorite anime first episodes ever so do with that what you will

bsd is so much fun to watch, to read, to analyze, to obsess over, and to just be a fan of and I highly recommend it. I hope you give it a shot.

I have readdd The Twelfth Day of July by Joan Lingard, it's a book about this guy and girl and the guy is a cath and the girl is a protestant and how they hate eachother and its really good, I love it a lot. I also read all of Diane Olivers short stories while at irish camp, they're really good and I totally reccomend her stuff, I think you would like some of her more scary short stories, a lot of her stuff is unpublished though cuz she was died at age 22 and she really needs more recognition, like when I looked up her most famous story I couldn't even find her other stuff at all.

Games I played Alan Wake about this guy (who is an author) who goes on holiday to this island and his wife goes missing so Alan has to investigate it while this story that he doesn't even remember writing becomes a reality, there's a second one I just haven't played it yet. I played The Quarry about a group of young adult camp counsellors who have to stay one day extra before they get to go home but there's creepy stuff on the property that wants to kill them and it's so good my fave character is my profile picture, we love Dylan Lenivy.

THENNN I played A Way Out with my brother set in the same prison as Shawshank Redemption, these 2 criminals set a plan to escape prison and get their revenge on the guy who murdered one of the mens brothers and well the other one kind of gives away the whole story so I won't go into detail on that one but it's depressing, it's a little disturbing and you get attached to Leo and Vincent the main guys.

Ive just been chilling this last month before school starts again and hanging out with my friends, I was going to go to NI for a while but there's protests and people setting streets on fire so I'm not going anywhere near there for now.

Like they are not logical in any shape or form I know that what make a historical romance manhwa but this shit is out of the line, no good character development and character personality is too cliché with and how they don't use brain for problem solving.

And I HATE every character in that manhwa.

Let's first talk about JuBeliAn.

This girl is privileged, and she doesn't take any consequences for her actions as her dad pays for everything terrible she has done, and she is not even once apologised to the people she has hurt in the whole series, and people still support and forgive her as she is " PRETTY and is a daughter of a high ranking noble" . It just because she has a new identity doesn't mean that everyone has to forget everything and be nice with her again, not only that she made friends with many people that i think they also share the same single braincells with her.

and oh she got to be saving the kingdom in the end of the series too, maybe because SHE WAS SO RIDICULOUSLY POWERFUL? Her family is one of the richest families in the empire, her dad is a hero, her mom is a wizard that now JuBeliAn possessed godly magical powers that the gods predicted that she will be the chosen one to save the country, and she also super beautiful that maybe people also forgive her if she ever committed murd3r or arson on an orphanage. Oh yeah and her husband is the emperor too so maybe ten orphanages won't be a big deal

Now let's talk to her dad, he is stupid

Omg he's got magic that kept him young and handsome? Or is it just because the author art skill was so low level like her iq that she doesn't know what old people looks like? There is a tons of manhwa out there that depicted dad figures successfully and you can look at it and learn, but all what i can see is that you used all of the time to describe how godly your protagonist were. Well they're not, they're so good i think that maybe you even draw their shits the look edible and maybe the shit smell like perfume too, he's the strongest man in the empire and he is smart, BUT HE ACT EVEN LOWER THAN A BABY, not only he's abandoned her ( which is considered to be abuse) you white washed his crime by " oh he's actually love her alot , he have to act like he doesn't love her because of evil king bla bla" I DON'T CARE you fucking made that girl, saying I love you is fucking easy there not gonna be any shadow hear it. You know you can annihilate any of the king's spy because you fucking strong and you just choose to abandon your child. And the fact that you destroyed your daughter's ex house because he's harassing her is also stupid.

do you think that the man that has the guts to mess with your daughter cannot do the same thing again after you just did that? Not only you don't realize that his father also work for the emperor, they can alliance with each other because they HATE YOU, you just waste large amounts on your energy to get potential bad reputation, why don't just k!ll them all and use money to mute the witness, you have all the power to mess with everything that harassed your daughter and you choose the most stupid way to solve YOUR FRUSTRATION NOT THE PROBLEM.

And yeah the chapter where they go to court, even I'm haven't been to a court once and I know that they doesn't work like that.

Oh and Maximilian too, he's just violent, but I think that he got the reason, and yeah don't have any proper time to work things out with jubel and he was force to immediately fall in love ,with JuBeliAn to match the timing of the manhwa.

The other character is like props to aid the protagonist, not once their have spotlight or character development, i remember fiodore in the very first chapter and he just appears in one or two panels, no relationship with jubelian no friendship no everything. And he gets motivated by only sentence of her.

The problem with the manhwa is that the protagonist have too much spotlight to talk about their greatness while support characters or the antagonist have so little to none chapter that dedicated to tell why and how they do certain things. Even we don't know why the evil king is evil in the first place. The fact that this is so rush in solving the final issue just to take more time in family and romantic love is boring. If the dad dies in the end I think it be great, not only it becomes a flaw and finish Legis's character development and story, it can also be helping Jubelian to develop into a more mature person.

The storyline is brain rotting but don't let me get into the art style it so flashy with too much error that they cannot blame on the short deadline that they receive, errors that can be easily spotted and fix, the artstyle that is too sparkle that hurts my brain.

If the protagonists have more flaws I think that the story would be more interesting, like karina in limited extra time, she literally died in the end she even have intrusive thoughts in her mind but that's how good character is written, from a submissive can be into a more stronger person but also still have a feminine personality.
