thinking about a mattpatt game theory style video about the identity of batman in the dc universe.
"We have to assume that Batman makes a certain amount of money to be able to have all of his gear and things like the batmobile. So let's look at the number of millionaires and billionaires that live within Gotham city. From here we can safely rule out all women and the men below five foot eight as Batman is agreed upon as 'fairly tall.' Now we look at ages and knock out people above 50 and below 30 based on how long Batman has been on the job. This leaves a manageable number of people on our list. Some can be knocked off the list manually, like Bruce Wayne. *insert poorly edited picture of Brucie in a costume Batman mask.* We can also successfully scratch out the names of people who have been in the same room as Batman. Then we look at the realistic schedules of the people left...and. No one. Not a single person was left on the list. Of course this list wasn't perfect, but you'd think we'd get at least one candidate. But the best the list got us was Brucie Wayne which... I don't even have to tell you why that's incorrect. Batman's identity remains a mystery but uh I guess that's the point."

micro comic with no real point or punchline i just have conversations i wanna draw out sometimes
#a doodley#1. throuple lives in a mobile home esque situation on the kaye farm... they can see#al's parents' house from there! they do laundry there weekly even#so of course it wld be much nicer to spend some time there#2. talon doesn't want to meet al's parents bc he doesnt wanna meet more people LMAO#but honestly truly i think he'd die if he had 2 more people caring about him. because al's parents are SO caring#he already has Issues with his ''boyfriends'' treating him in a way he perceives as Parent/Child#having actual parents tacked on would fry his brain in every direction#so he hides#they know about him they've seen him but they've never interacted with him one on one#its SO painful for them because they wanna get to know him soooo bad they want to spoil him#AND ALSO i dont think the racecar bed was actually given away#i added that bc i needed Something there at the end ykwim#i think the racecar bed is tucked to the side of al's childhood room. with a bunch of stuff on it#in furryverse i like to think nyalon naps there#al's old room is on the second floor but it has an entrace from the outside (outside stairs‚ like#a fire escape) so i think talon (furry or human) would go there sometimes#if he needed space away from al and smunker#its their compromise when talon REALLY freaks out#like please dont skip town. there's a huge chance he'll convince himself to never come back if he does#and being out in the woods is scary what if something Happens. use my old room instead youll be safe and alone

Honestly the story of mlp must be very weird from the pov of a random guy in ponyville, like one day a new antisocial librarian moves into town, and like a year later that librarian ascends into godhood and becomes the new ruler of the entire world

There are abandoned train tracks in the town where I live. They were built in the 1800s, to transport timber from the isolated logging camps further north. Some say those loggers were so lonely, with nothing but each other and the trees and train tracks for months on end, that at night, when all was reduced to the hum of cicadas, they’d imagine the clatter of heavy machinery and think the train was coming to bring them home.
We still hear it sometimes—that train whistle in the dead of night, echoing down the abandoned tracks. A train hasn’t traveled those rails in 50 years, but still, if you listen hard enough, you’ll hear the whistle, and think about the loggers who died in those forests, the loggers who never went home.
Anyway I was just thinking about how Ponyboy probably hears a train sometimes, loud enough to be Dally’s heartbeat, and goes still, turning to his brothers, head cocked, ears sharp: “Do you hear that?”
And they look back, confusion in their eyes. “Hear what?”

the wires/machinery/door not being changed yet but it seems like the vending machine was there since early on

Tiny question, does SOAF take place in a town or a city?
Hi!! Ty for asking :D A tiny answer for your tiny question.... Mmm, it's kind of both? Right in the middle. There's a main town area with shops, residential area, and a park you frequent.

Explained to my 40-something self-described ‘small town girl’ coworker Heather today that I was dumped and she said “men suck.” Patiently explained that the woman I brought to the company Xmas party (“what, her boyfriend dumped her or…?”) was my girlfriend, not ‘girl friend’ (I had been referring to her all this time as such just assuming she understood), and that I had moved here for her. after less than a beat Heather replied, without any sign of being surprised by me being a lesbian despite somehow not understanding this beforehand: “well, women suck!”. Heather you will see the gates of heaven. I wish you the best of luck with your divorce.

it's kind of difficult to recommend borrasca to people bc first of all The Obvious but second of all I am a ginger, I'm from missouri, and my name is sam, and these facts in combination often make it seem like I'm pushing some kind of agenda

Honestly pretty disgusting that more people haven't been talking about the murder of DaChe'na Warren-Hill. Pretty much nobody outside of the city it happened in, and even that, not much. I only know it happened because I used to live there.
She was 20 years old, trying to get away from her abuser, and the police showed up and shot her. It was declared "justified" because she was driving a car, and the officer who killed her felt threatened by that.
She had her whole life ahead of her. Dead because a cop was scared of a car. Coming up on a year since her death and her family is still trying to get justice.

I see "Danny just wants to be normal" and "Amity Park is Danny's haunt au" and raise you, not a weird Amity Park, but a very very normal Amity Park. Everything is completely normal but it feels wrong. It's all just a little /too normal/ like it's been fabricated to be the most average town ever. Everything's right but there's an underlying current of some thing here is wrong. An outsider will see something weird out of the corner of their eye (ghosts hurtling through the air), but when they turn to look all they see is a bird landing on a branch. They must've just seen the bird? Right? Right????? And no townspeople have seen anything either. But it feels out of place. A niggling feeling that you can't quite shake but everything is fine??? But??? It's unexplainable but something Isn't Right.

On our third year of marriage, life gave to us...a free trial to pastoring our church! 😬🙃
Poor Husband gets to preach Sunday morning service, teach Sunday school and Wednesday Bible study, and lead music; and I get to emotionally support him, try to help logistically where I can, and get overwhelmed by the crushing pressure I put on myself to socially keep this church together.
Pray for us.

if you ever feel unlucky, remember a time when you saw a bird. those things can fly. and they do fly! all around. they go to so many places at so many different times, but you were at the right place and the right time to see exactly that bird on that exact day. isn't that so fucking lucky?
