————————————————————————
After that heated night with Hongjoong, a shift settled over the office. The anticipation of the upcoming Exhibition cast a palpable tension in the air, and both of you were swept up in a whirlwind of preparations. Your inbox was inundated with questions and requests, each email demanding your immediate attention. In addition to your regular duties, you found yourself tasked with organizing final report meetings for each department—a crucial step for Hongjoong to review and approve before the big day.
Yet, as busy as you were, you couldn’t shake the feeling of missing him. Hongjoong’s workload was heavier than ever; he was frequently out of the office, darting between the Exhibition building and press conferences. You had grown so accustomed to his presence, both at work and outside of it, that the silence of his absence felt almost deafening. You tried to keep your focus, shoving aside the longing that threatened to distract you as you worked diligently to meet your deadlines.
“Hello, Miss Y/N,” a cheerful voice broke through your thoughts. You looked up to find Haeun standing there, her smile bright and two steaming coffee cups in her hands.
“Hello, Miss Lee,” you replied, returning her smile but feeling a hint of unease bubble beneath the surface.
“Is Mr. Kim in his office? I had a few questions for him and I also got him coffee,” she asked, glancing hopefully toward Hongjoong’s office door.
You pressed your lips into a thin line, forcing a smile that felt more like a mask. “No, he’s not in right now. He’s at the Exhibition building preparing for tomorrow,” you said, your tone calm despite the annoyance simmering within.
Haeun’s shoulders dropped slightly, and she cast her gaze downward, disappointment etched on her features. “Ahh, I see—”
“Whatever your message is, I can go ahead and relay it to him,” you offered, attempting to sound genuinely helpful while hoping she wouldn’t catch the edge of sarcasm that laced your words.
“No, it’s okay. I’ll just wait for him,” she replied, her voice soft as she bowed her head slightly before turning to walk away.
You bit your lip, feeling a flicker of irritation. As you closed your eyes for a moment, trying to collect your thoughts, a question nagged at you: why was Haeun so intent on seeking out Hongjoong? It wasn’t just professionalism that kept her lingering around his office. Most of your colleagues would have passed their messages through you without a second thought, but Haeun seemed to circumvent the usual channels, consistently finding excuses to approach him directly.
With a sigh, you returned to your screen, determined to push aside the thoughts that threatened to derail your concentration. Yet the unease lingered, a quiet whisper in the back of your mind as you dived back into your work, longing for the familiar rhythm of your days with Hongjoong by your side.
Hours stretched on, the clock ticking slowly as you counted down to your much-anticipated hour break. The office felt almost suffocating without Hongjoong's presence; he still hadn’t returned from his seemingly endless meetings. As the minutes dragged, an urge tugged at you—just to hear his voice again.
You pulled out your phone and navigated to his contact, your fingers hovering over the call button for a moment before you pressed it. The line rang for a while, until finally—
“Hey there, Pretty,” Hongjoong’s tender voice flooded your ear, warm and familiar. Your heart swelled at the sound, a rush of affection washing over you.
“Hey,” you replied softly, a smile spreading across your face as you settled back in your chair, feeling the tension begin to melt away.
“Everything okay?” he asked, his tone laced with concern.
“Mm, yeah,” you assured him, fiddling with the pen in your hand. “Just miss you. I’m on my hour break right now.”
“I miss you too, baby,” he sighed, the weariness in his voice unmistakable. “I’ll see you tomorrow at the Exhibition opening ceremony. I still have to meet up with another investor, so I probably won’t make it back to the office today.”
His words hung in the air, heavy with the weight of his stress. “It’s okay, just go straight home afterwards and rest,” you said softly, wanting to ease his burden even just a little.
“Yeah, I will. And you, please don’t stay too late at the office,” he replied, his voice gentle yet firm, as if he could sense your tendency to push yourself too hard.
“Okay,” you promised, feeling a flicker of warmth at his concern.
“I have to go now, Pretty. I’ll talk to you later,” Hongjoong said, his voice lingering in your mind like a sweet melody.
“Talk to you later,” you echoed, and the line ended.
———
As you step into your apartment, the weight of the past week begins to lift. You kick off your heels, feeling the cool floor beneath your bare feet, and make your way to the sanctuary of your bed.
Returning to your apartment each night has become a solitary routine, yet it’s a routine you find comfort in. You’re not lonely; you’re content. Hongjoong’s passion for his work radiates through his messages, reminding you that even amidst the flurry, you are always on his mind.
The familiar ping of your phone draws your attention. A message from Hongjoong lights up the screen:
Joongie <3: Just finished my last meeting. I’ll let you know I’m home
A smile unfurls across your face as you read his words. You feel a warmth inside, a flicker of excitement at the thought of spending time together. You slip out of your clothes, your nightly routine a practiced dance, and soon you’re refreshed and relaxed.
Once your skin feels cool from the shower, you wander into the kitchen, ready to prepare a quick snack. The soft glow of the overhead lights envelops you in a tranquil ambiance as you settle onto the couch with a book, letting the words draw you into their world. Suddenly, a sharp breaks the silence.
You turn your head, curiosity piquing your interest. Who could possibly be visiting at this hour? A smile creeps back onto your lips as you hope it might be Hongjoong. Rising from the couch, you smooth down your shirt and tousle your hair, preparing for the moment you’ve been waiting for.
But when you open the door, your heart sinks.
“S—Siwoo? What are you doing here?” The question escapes your lips, laced with confusion and a sudden spike of adrenaline. It’s been over a month since you last saw him, and the disheveled state he’s in sends a jolt of apprehension through you.
“Can I come in?” His tone is casual, but you sense an underlying tension.
“No, I don’t think that’s a good idea,” you reply softly, instinctively stepping back behind the door. You’ve barely finished your sentence when Siwoo’s hand slams against the wood, startling you.
“Are you messing around with your boss?” The accusation hangs in the air like a storm cloud, and your heart plummets at the words. His eyes are wild, red-rimmed, and filled with something that feels dangerously close to madness.
“What does it matter to you?” you retort, trying to maintain your composure.
“That’s quite dirty of you,” he laughs bitterly, the sound scraping against your nerves.
“Is that why you fucken left me?” Your voice trembles, yet you refuse to back down.
“You need to leave,” you insist, crossing your arms in a futile gesture of defiance.
Siwoo steps closer, and you freeze, his presence invading your space.
“Want to know how I found out?” He leans in, his voice low and threatening. “someone saw you two making out in the meeting room…”
You recoil at his words, feeling the weight of betrayal pressing down on your chest. “Are you fucken stalking me?” Your voice raises in disgust,
“You’re a whore, Y/N,” he spits out, slamming his fist against the door. You flinch at the sound, tears prickling at the corners of your eyes.
“You say that as if you didn’t cheat on me,” you shoot back, your glare fierce even as you fight to keep your emotions in check.
“Get over yourself, Y/N,” he snaps.
“I hope you’re happy with him.” His voice drips with sarcasm as he turns to leave.
“I am,” you declare defiantly, the words escaping before you can think.
But he spins around, anger igniting in his gaze. You quickly shut the door, locking it just as his fist meets the wood again, the sound reverberating through your chest.
“No one makes you happier than me, Y/N!” he bellows, and panic floods your senses.
Tears slip down your cheeks as you crouch down, the adrenaline leaving you shaken. Silence wraps around you like a blanket after his final strike against the door. You pull your knees to your chest, trying to steady your breathing.
In that moment, you reach for your phone, scrolling through your contacts until you find Hongjoong’s name. Hesitation grips you; it’s late, and you don’t want to disturb him, he’s already feeling so much stress lately. Instead, you let the silence envelop you, the shadows of your apartment pressing in, leaving you in a swirling storm of emotions.
———
The morning sun filtered through your curtains, but the clock on your bedside table betrayed the time—it was far later than you had intended to wake. Panic gripped you as you bolted upright, the remnants of sleep quickly fading into a rush of urgency. The Exhibition building loomed in your mind like an impending deadline, one you could not afford to miss.
You scrambled through your morning routine, splashing cold water on your face in a desperate bid to shake off the remnants of a restless night. Your encounter with Siwoo haunted you, the unsettling conversation replaying endlessly in your thoughts, keeping sleep at bay.
Finally dressed—you rushed to hail a taxi, your heart racing as you gave the driver your destination. Your phone buzzed with notifications, and you glanced at the screen to see several missed messages from Hongjoong, each one amplifying your anxiety. “Where are you?” “Are you okay?” The words blurred together as frustration boiled inside you. You cursed under your breath, willing the taxi to speed through the congested streets. Quickly, you typed a reply: “Stuck in traffic. I’ll be there soon.”
When the taxi finally screeched to a halt in front of the Exhibition building, you practically leaped out, grateful that the opening ceremony hadn’t started yet. You dashed inside, weaving through the crowd, your heart pounding with each hurried step. As you entered the lobby, the buzz of voices surrounded you—colleagues mingling, laughter echoing off the high ceilings.
There he was—Hongjoong—standing with a group of organizers. The sight of him anchored you momentarily, but the weight of your anxiety still loomed large. When your eyes met, relief washed over his features, and he approached you with an unmistakable sense of concern.
“Miss Y/N,” he said, his voice warm yet edged with worry. “I’m glad to see you.”
“Hello, Mr. Kim,” you replied, bowing slightly, the formality a brief shield against your inner turmoil. He excused himself from the conversation, pulling you aside as a flicker of worry crossed his face.
“Are you okay? You never run late. Did something happen?” His voice dropped to a quiet tone, the intimacy of his concern making your heart race.
You looked down, trying to gather your thoughts. “Yeah,” you sighed, your voice barely above a whisper. “I didn’t get much sleep last night, and the traffic was terrible.” Each word felt like a confession, a release of the stress you’d been holding. “Is there anything I can do to help? I know we open soon.”
He shook his head, a gentle smile breaking through his concern. “No, it’s okay. Haeun and a few others are finishing the last display room.”
At the mention of Haeun, a sharp pang of unease shot through you, tightening your chest. You nodded, forcing a smile that felt strained. “Right. Of course.” The name lingered in your mind like a shadow, darkening the moment.
“I have to go,” he said, his hand lingering on your arm for a brief moment, grounding you. “I’ll see you at the front for the opening.” With that, he turned away, his smile still radiating warmth, leaving you caught between the chaos of the day and the storm brewing inside you.
You cleared your throat, the sound echoing slightly in the hallway as you steeled yourself for the bustling atmosphere of the conference room ahead. Taking a deep breath, you straightened your blouse and smoothed down your skirt, determined to shake off the disquiet that had plagued you since last night.
As you entered the conference room, a wave of energy washed over you. Colleagues filled the space, their voices mingling in a lively buzz as they prepared for the opening ceremony. You found your designated seat, a small island of calm amid the excitement, and pulled out the itinerary, hoping to distract yourself from the racing thoughts that refused to settle.
The ceremony began, and all eyes turned to Hongjoong as he stepped up to the podium. With a charismatic presence that filled the room, he launched into his speech, effortlessly commanding attention. You couldn’t help but smile softly as he spoke, his confidence radiating and infectious. The presentation unfolded smoothly, and he introduced the highly anticipated theme for the exhibition, capturing the audience’s enthusiasm.
As the crowd erupted into applause, you felt a swell of pride for the event's success. The doors of the exhibition swung open, welcoming an influx of important figures, investors, and eager members of the public. Your role quickly shifted as you focused on ensuring that each department followed protocol and adhered to the schedule.
Glancing across the room, you spotted Hongjoong surrounded by higher-ups and colleagues, all congratulating him with hearty handshakes and praise. Your gaze fell on Haeun, her smile radiant as she bowed gracefully to those around her. But then, the moment took an unexpected turn. Instead of exchanging congratulatory handshakes, Haeun leaned in, her movements light and unassuming, and hugged Hongjoong.
The sight struck you like a punch to the gut. Hongjoong’s expression shifted from surprise to a vague awkwardness as he tapped her shoulder, clearly caught off guard by her gesture. A rush of irritation flooded through you, twisting into jealousy that simmered just below the surface. Why did she feel so comfortable with him?
“Miss Y/N, we need assistance with this,” a fellow colleague called, pulling you from your thoughts. You forced a smile, though it felt brittle, and nodded, following them away from the unfolding scene.
As you walked away, you glanced back at Hongjoong, who was searching the crowd for you. His gaze landed on you just as you turned to leave, and you could see the faint sigh of disappointment escape him. The moment hung in the air, filled with unspoken tension, before he was pulled back into conversations with important figures, the excitement of the event overshadowing the moment between you.
The rest of the day unfolded in a whirlwind of activity. The exhibition was a resounding success, with a full house exceeding even the most optimistic expectations for the opening day. Everywhere you looked, faces were illuminated with excitement, laughter echoing through the halls. Yet amidst the hustle and bustle, you hardly saw Hongjoong. He was swept up in conversations with important figures, while you navigated your own responsibilities, making sure everything ran smoothly.
Inside, you could sense Hongjoong’s exhaustion; the constant social interactions wore him down, and you could almost feel his desire to retreat from the crowd and share a moment of solitude with you. But the overwhelming buzz of the event kept you apart, and despite your best efforts to push away thoughts of Siwoo and Haeun, they lingered in the back of your mind like dark clouds, threatening to overshadow the day’s success.
As the final guests trickled out of the building, you offered heartfelt bows of gratitude to those who attended, your voice a blend of professionalism and warmth. The security guard swiftly locked the front doors, signaling the day’s end. Team members began closing up the exhibition, readying it for another day of activity. A sigh of relief escaped you as you turned to head back to the conference room to gather your things.
You moved slowly, fatigue settling into your bones. Just as you were about to leave, you looked up and saw Hongjoong standing before you, a soft smile breaking through the weariness of the day.
“Hey,” he said, his voice warm.
“Hi,” you replied, your smile tinged with exhaustion.
“Let me gather my stuff; let’s go home together,” he whispered, taking your hand gently in his. You nodded, feeling a small rush of comfort as you watched him turn to collect his belongings.
The walk to his car was filled with an unspoken tension that felt more tiresome than awkward. Hongjoong tapped his fingers rhythmically against the steering wheel, the soft music playing in the background providing a gentle soundtrack to your quiet. The world outside blurred by, the streets illuminated by the fading light of day.
“I didn’t get to say congratulations earlier…” you finally broke the silence, your voice barely above a whisper. Hongjoong turned to meet your gaze, curiosity sparking in his eyes.
“Congratulations, Hongjoong. Everything turned out beautiful,” you said, allowing a small smile to surface.
His expression shifted to one of awe, and he smiled back softly. “Thank you, baby.” His voice was tender as he reached across the console to grasp your hand, his thumb rubbing soothing circles over your skin. The warmth of his touch wrapped around you, anchoring you in the moment.
The car ride continued in a peaceful silence, his hand never leaving yours, a silent promise hanging in the air between you.
When you arrived at your apartment, Hongjoong parked on the curb and turned to you, his eyes reflecting a mix of warmth and affection. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips.
“Do you…” You looked up at him with your doe eyes, “I mean… can you stay for a while?” The words slipped out, tinged with vulnerability, feeling an ache in your heart, your voice quivering slightly.
Hongjoong’s expression softened at your request. “Yeah, of course,” he replied, his voice a whisper as he cupped your cheek and leaned in for another kiss—this one lingering, a sweet connection that sent warmth flooding through you.
He maneuvered the car into a proper parking spot, and together you walked hand in hand up to your apartment complex, the silence between you comfortable.
As you stepped into your apartment, Hongjoong followed you to your bedroom.
Approaching your closet, you pulled out a few of Hongjoong's spare clothes—soft T-shirts and sweatpants that carried his scent. You handed them to him, a small gesture that felt significant. Both of you changed in comfortable silence, the weight of the day beginning to lift as you slipped into something more relaxed.
Once changed, you settled onto the bed, the mattress cradling your tired body. Instinctively, you curled into Hongjoong’s arms, seeking solace in his presence. His warmth wrapped around you, and you rested your head against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath you. You sighed deeply, relief flooding through you, though your exhaustion was overshadowed by a restless mind.
“Hongjoong…” you began softly, fiddling nervously with the fabric of his T-shirt. He hummed in response, an encouraging sound that urged you to continue. “Do you… like Haeun?” The question hung in the air, heavy with unspoken insecurities.
Hongjoong chuckled lightly, caught off guard by your unexpected inquiry. He shifted to look at you, propping himself up on one elbow, allowing your head to settle on the pillow instead of his chest.
“What kind of question is that, Y/N?” he asked, his voice low and teasing, but there was concern in his eyes as he brushed a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
You averted your gaze, the weight of your thoughts pressing down on you. “I saw her hug you…” you mumbled, staring at your fingers as they twisted together anxiously. “And… you’ve been asking for her assistance a lot.” The words felt like a confession, raw and vulnerable.
“Y/N, look at me,” Hongjoong urged gently, his hand caressing your cheek. Reluctantly, you lifted your gaze to meet his. The seriousness in his expression made your heart flutter with both fear and hope.
“I do not like Haeun,” he declared firmly, his eyes locking onto yours. “I don’t go seeking her out; she inserts herself into things. That hug? It was unexpected, and I didn’t know she was going to do that.” He took a deep breath, his tone softening. “I’ll have her manager talk to her about professionalism. You know that the only assistance I want is from you.”
At his words, your heart swelled, but tears threatened to spill over. “Hey… what’s going on? Talk to me, baby,” he cooed, concern etched across his features as he reached up to wipe away your tears.
“I just…” you choked on your words, feeling the emotions surge. “I’m sorry for being a crybaby about this. I know today was important, and I feel like I’m ruining it by bringing this up,” you confessed, your voice trembling.
“Y/N, you don’t have anything to be sorry about,” he reassured you, his tone steady. “Thank you for telling me how you feel. I promise I’ll make sure her manager puts her in check. And don’t you worry—because you are the only one I care about.” He leaned forward, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead, the gesture soothing your racing heart.
“I’m all yours, baby,” he whispered softly as he pulled you back into his chest, cradling you against him. In that moment, wrapped in his warmth and sincerity, you felt a sense of peace settle over you, the earlier worries fading into the background.
———
As the days unfolded seamlessly, the exhibition remained a vibrant spectacle for the public. The buzz of visitors filled the air, their excited chatter blending with the soft hum of conversations among staff. Back in the office, life resumed its familiar cadence, the usual rhythm of daily tasks bringing a sense of normalcy. Colleagues flowed in and out, each taking turns to ensure the exhibition’s smooth operation, their laughter and discussions punctuating the usual office sounds.
Hongjoong, too, had become a near-permanent fixture at the exhibition, his presence almost a comfort. He appeared only in the mornings, a fleeting glimpse before he vanished into the vibrant chaos of the displays and the throngs of visitors.
After your conversation with him that night, a weight had lifted from your shoulders. Although the incident with Siwoo lingered at the back of your mind, you felt a sense of guilt that you hadn’t shared the details with Hongjoong. Siwoo had yet to pose any real threat, and you didn’t want to burden Hongjoong with worries that might lead to unnecessary complications.
Pulling away from your thoughts, you decided to take a break momentarily. You glance at your phone and see a message from Hongjoong.
Joongie <3: An investor wants to meet over dinner tonight at 6pm to discuss potential future plans after this exhibition. I need you there.
Joongie <3: And I’ll finally get to see that pretty face of yours.
You smile at the messages
Y/N: I’ll be there. I’ll meet you at the exhibition.
You shut off your phone and rise from your seat. You made your way to the coffee break room, looking forward to a moment of respite. As you made your way to the open door, you caught a snippet of conversation that made you pause. The unmistakable voice of Lee Haeun floated through the air.
“My fucken manager just lectured me about professionalism,” Lee Haeun said, her voice dripping with mock indignation. “All because I hugged the CEO at the exhibition opening ceremony.”
You froze, instinctively pressing your back against the wall just outside the coffee break room. Haeun was on her cellphone, speaking quietly, but the stillness of the office allowed you to catch every word.
“No, honestly! I was just congratulating him,” she continued, a conspiratorial giggle escaping her lips. “How can I get promoted unless I show some affection? If you know what I mean.”
Your eyes widened in disbelief. Haeun’s tone was playful yet calculating, and you felt a knot tightening in your stomach as you leaned in closer, unable to tear yourself away from her words.
“I don’t care if I always do that,” she scoffed. “I already slept with the prof to get the best grades, and look where it got me. I don’t even have my degree yet! I just need the CEO now”
A wave of anxiety washed over you, but your feet felt rooted to the ground. You wanted to walk away, to distance yourself from this unsettling conversation, yet something compelled you to stay and listen.
“Anyways, the CEO is playing hard to get. Although I think it’s because he’s probably fucking his secretary,” she added, laughter lacing her voice. Your heart sank.
“No, seriously, I saw them making out. And you’ll never guess who she is…”
“Professor Siwoo’s now ex-girlfriend,” Haeun whispered, her voice tinged with glee. “Right?! What a coincidence that I keep fucking her men to excel in my career.”
A chill ran down your spine. Haeun was the one who Siwoo cheated on you with. Haeun was the one who had told Siwoo about your relationship with Hongjoong. Now, it seemed she had set her sights on Hongjoong, all in pursuit of her ambitions. The realization hit you like a physical blow.
“Well, no, I haven’t fucked the CEO yet, but I think I’m close,” she chuckled, and the sound felt like ice water pooling in your veins. Your face drained of color as you processed what you had just overheard. She was scheming, manipulating those around her to climb the corporate ladder.
You felt sick, the implications of her words swirling in your mind. Without thinking, you turned and hurried back to your desk, your heart racing. You tried to maintain your composure, but the chaos inside you made it difficult. As you fidgeted with the papers on your desk, you fought to push the dark thoughts aside, the weight of Haeun’s intentions pressing heavily on your chest.
You need to tell Hongjoong. You have to, but the thought of how to approach him twists in your stomach like a knot. Haeun, with her seemingly flawless skills on the marketing team, has gained his appreciation, but beneath her polished exterior lies a darker reality. Her intentions are anything but innocent; she’s been causing trouble that ripples through the entire company. A wave of anger washes over you, surging in your chest like a tide. You can't let her get away with this.
Hours drag on as you throw yourself into your work, fingers flying over the keyboard as you finish files and set future schedules. Yet your mind is preoccupied, a cacophony of thoughts swirling around how to confront Hongjoong. You glance at the clock, you have to meet Hongjoong soon at the exhibition before heading out to the dinner. In doing so, you began gathering your things, and with each movement you can’t help but recall Haeun’s saccharine demeanor, the anger within you bubbles up anew.
Then, as if summoned by your thoughts, Haeun appears. She strides toward your desk, her confidence radiating like a spotlight, but instead of acknowledging you, she breezes past and heads directly for Hongjoong’s office. A flicker of irritation shoots through you.
She knocks on the door, her voice dripping with that infuriatingly sweet tone. “Mr. Kim?” When there’s no response, she knocks again, the sound echoing in the quiet office.
You can’t help but scoff under your breath. “Mr. Kim isn’t in his office today, Miss Lee,” you call out, leaning slightly forward in your chair. She turns to you, her smile a veneer of sweetness that doesn’t reach her eyes.
“Oh, haha, sorry! I just wanted to check for myself,” she replies, scrunching her nose in faux innocence.
“Whatever you need to tell him, I can relay the message,” you say, attempting to maintain an air of politeness despite your simmering irritation.
“Why do you always say that?” Haeun scoffs, laughing as if you’ve told her the world’s most absurd joke. You raise an eyebrow, amused at her audacity.
“If you’ve forgotten, Miss Lee, I am his secretary. It’s my job to handle these things,” you reply, keeping your tone calm.
“Right,” she says, sarcasm lacing her words. That’s it. You can’t hold back any longer. You push your chair back and stand up, meeting her gaze with a glare.
“Miss Lee, I suggest you work on your professionalism in this office. Don’t forget that I am your superior,” you state firmly, the weight of your position fueling your confidence. She rolls her eyes and turns to walk away, but your frustration spills over.
“On top of that—” you call after her. Haeun turns back, her expression unimpressed.
“I heard everything you said in the coffee room,” you declare, the words tumbling out before you can second-guess them. Her eyes widen, a flicker of annoyance crossing her face.
“You’re talking about professionalism when you’re over here eavesdropping?!” she fires back, cutting you off.
“It’s not eavesdropping if you’re speaking loudly enough for the whole floor to hear,” you retort, kind of exaggerating but you don’t care as your irritation is sharpening.
“Miss Lee, if you don’t want to get fired, I suggest you get your act together and reconsider how you present yourself in this office. Trying to sleep with Mr. Kim isn’t going to work,” you say, crossing your arms defiantly.
Her laughter is chilling. “Why? That’s what you’re doing aren’t you? I bet that’s the reason why Siwoo kept coming to me for sex instead of you” She smirks and shoots you a dirty look that only fuels your resolve.
“Unlike you, I don’t sleep around with higher-ups to get what I want. I have self-respect. I worked hard to get where I am today, and it’s obvious you didn’t. Siwoo is a piece of trash that you just happened to fall into. I atleast got out.” You step forward, every word a declaration of your integrity. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a dinner meeting to attend with Mr. Kim,” you say, brushing past her with a confidence that comes from standing your ground. The click of your heels on the floor echoes your anger, a sound of determination as you walk away from the confrontation, knowing you’ve said what needed to be said.
———
You hailed a taxi, the yellow vehicle pulling to a stop at the curb, its engine rumbling softly as you climbed inside. The city outside blurred by, a rush of color and sound that contrasted sharply with the turmoil churning within you. Anger simmered just beneath the surface, a boiling pot you struggled to contain as the driver navigated the bustling streets toward the exhibition building.
As the taxi came to a halt, you stepped out, the cool air hitting your face like a splash of cold water. You took a moment to gather your thoughts, breathing deeply, but the tension remained, coiling tightly in your chest.
Your eyes caught sight of Hongjoong standing outside the building, his charismatic presence commanding attention. He was engaged in conversation, shaking hands with several people who wore suits that screamed success. They laughed, shared pleasantries, and after a few moments, they dispersed, leaving him alone. As if sensing your gaze, he turned, a smirk spreading across his face, and for a brief second, it felt as though the world had slowed down. Yet, despite his warm demeanor, you couldn’t muster a smile in return. The weight of your emotions hung heavy, clouding your thoughts. With a deep breath, you approached him, determined to put on a brave face.
“Hey, baby~” he greeted, his hands instinctively wrapping around your waist, his eyes sweeping over you with that familiar mix of affection and mischief.
“Hey,” you replied quickly, avoiding his gaze.
His expression shifted, concern flickering in his eyes. “What’s wrong?”
You hesitated, the words stuck in your throat. “Nothing… I’ll tell you later.” You sighed, your hand finding the back of his neck, a gesture meant to comfort both him and yourself.
“You sure?” he asked, his eyebrow arching in skepticism. You nodded, forcing a semblance of reassurance.
“Let’s go.” you say softly.
Together, you made your way to his car, the sleek vehicle reflecting the evening lights. As you settled into the passenger seat, silence enveloped you both. You couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the pit of your stomach. You resolved to keep your thoughts to yourself for now, planning to wait until the meeting concluded.
The drive felt like an eternity. You glanced out the window, watching the city lights blur together as they passed. Finally, you arrived at the restaurant, its exterior exuding elegance. You both stepped inside, the atmosphere rich with the scent of gourmet dishes and the soft hum of polite conversation.
You took a seat beside Hongjoong, pulling out your notes, your mind shifting into professional mode. The investors began to arrive, and as they entered, you stood to shake hands, your professional mask firmly in place. The meeting commenced, and the conversation flowed around you—discussions filled with jargon, high-end meals, and clinking champagne flutes.
For the next hour, you sat mostly silent, your focus razor-sharp yet scattered. While others spoke and laughed, you found yourself distracted, your thoughts drifting back to the emotions you had tried so hard to suppress. All you could think about was the moment this meeting would end, and you could finally share what was weighing on your heart with Hongjoong.
As the last few guests trickled out of the restaurant, their laughter fading into the night, Hongjoong effortlessly settled the tab, his movements smooth and confident. You took a long, satisfying gulp of the champagne, the bubbles tickling your throat, and let out a deep sigh that spoke of both relief and frustration.
Hongjoong caught the sound, his gaze sharpening as he tucked his black card back into his wallet, his expression shifting to one of concern. “You ready?” he asked, his voice low and intent, eyes searching yours for an answer. You nodded, but it felt like a half-hearted response, so you took another swig of your drink to mask the turmoil inside you.
“Waiter, can I get a bottle of this champagne to go, please?” Hongjoong called, waving down a server with a charming smile. “Just put it on the same card I used.” The server nodded and made his way to the bar, leaving you puzzled.
“Why are you getting another bottle?” You frowned, confusion knitting your brows together.
Hongjoong leaned closer, his presence warm and reassuring. “Something is clearly stressing you. We can head back to my place, relax, and talk it over with some champagne.” His hand found your thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze that sent a wave of comfort through you, even as the heaviness in your chest lingered.
Moments later, the server returned, the expensive bottle glinting under the soft restaurant lights. He bowed slightly as he handed it over, and Hongjoong’s smile widened, a flicker of delight breaking through your own tension. He took the bottle and intertwined his fingers with yours, anchoring you in the moment.
“Let’s go home,” he said softly, his voice a soothing balm against the chaos in your mind. You rose from your seat, the weight of the evening still heavy but beginning to shift as you followed him, hand in hand.
———
Hongjoong guided you to his spacious living room, the atmosphere cozy and inviting. Warm lamps cast a soft glow that enveloped you both as he set the champagne bottle down on the polished coffee table. The room smelled faintly of citrus and leather, remnants of his day lingering in the air. With a brief nod, he disappeared into the kitchen, returning moments later with two glasses and a bottle opener, his movements fluid and confident.
You sank into the plush, oversized couch, your legs propped comfortably to the side. Pulling the soft throw blanket that rested nearby over your shoulders, you settled in, seeking warmth and comfort. You watched as Hongjoong effortlessly twisted the bottle cap, the satisfying pop echoing in the quiet room. He poured the golden liquid into the glasses, his focused demeanor drawing your eyes to the way his shirt hugged his frame, emphasizing his handsome features.
He handed you a glass, his fingers brushing against yours, sending a spark of warmth through you. With a knowing smile, he clinked your glasses together, the sound crisp and celebratory, before both of you took a sip. The bubbles danced on your tongue, but the sweetness of the moment was overshadowed by the weight on your heart. Hongjoong leaned back into the couch, his posture relaxed yet attentive.
“So, what’s going on in that pretty mind of yours?” he asked, his tone gentle yet probing. He had removed his blazer before entering, leaving him in a fitted button-up shirt and a tie that accentuated his confident demeanor. You blinked a few times, absorbing the sight of him, momentarily lost in his charm.
Finally, with a deep sigh, you set your glass down on the table, the clink resonating in the stillness.
“Hongjoong…” You shifted closer, your heart racing as you caught his gaze, the intensity in his eyes reflecting your own turmoil. He placed his glass on the table as well, sensing the seriousness of what you were about to share.
“A few weeks ago… Siwoo came unannounced to my place…” you began, your voice trembling slightly.
“What?” Hongjoong’s response was sharp, filled with concern. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
Feeling a surge of anxiety, you took his hands in yours and closed your eyes for a moment, trying to gather your thoughts. “Hongjoong, please let me explain,” you urged softly, feeling his unwavering gaze upon you.
He remained silent, his expression a mixture of worry and frustration as you continued. “He showed up at my door, but I didn’t let him in. He came to tell me that… he knows about us.”
Hongjoong’s brows furrowed deeply as you pressed on. “He was angry, ranting about why I left him, but I didn’t engage in his tantrum; I just said what I needed to and closed the door.” You stared down at your lap, feeling the shame of the past wash over you.
“Did he try to hurt you?” Hongjoong asked, his voice dropping to a near whisper, the softness contrasting with the simmering anger in his eyes.
“No… he banged on the door a few times, but it didn’t last long,” you admitted, fearing his reaction. But the anger only intensified in his gaze as he shifted in his seat. He’s upset at himself that he wasn’t there to protect you. To comfort you after the unwanted encounter.
“Joong, please,” you said, gripping his arm. “How did he even find out?” Hongjoong asks
The concern on his face deepened as he waited, a storm of emotions brewing inside him. “Haeun… She told him. I overheard her talking on the phone today saying she saw us making out.” you hesitated, the lump in your throat tightening. “And not only that…She’s been trying to get close to you, potentially to sleep with you, in hopes of getting a promotion.” A tear slipped down your cheek, and you quickly wiped it away. Hongjoong’s eyes widened in shock, his face twisting in disgust.
“I’ll fire her,” he said without hesitation, the conviction in his voice surprising you. You hadn’t expected him to respond so decisively.
He cupped your face, wiping away the tears that continued to fall. “And… she also admitted to me that she was the one Siwoo cheated on me with.” Your heart sank further as you met his gaze, the realization heavy between you.
“Siwoo is her professor at the university,” you continued, your voice calm yet hollow. “She recognized me the moment she started working here.” Tears streamed down your face, even as you fought to maintain your composure.
Hongjoong’s expression darkened, his fury palpable. He pulled you closer, your foreheads touching, creating an intimate bubble despite the turmoil surrounding you. “I will deal with them,” he whispered, his voice a fierce promise, igniting a spark of hope amidst the storm. He pulled you into his embrace, the warmth of his body enveloping you like a protective cocoon. His fingers gently stroked your hair, each soothing motion designed to calm the storm inside you. “I’m sorry you felt the need to keep this bottled up,” he whispered, his voice low and tender. “But, Y/N, seriously, next time, you need to tell me these things right away.” There was a soft frustration in his tone, directed not at you, but at the stress that Siwoo and Haeun had inflicted upon you.
You let out a soft whimper, sniffing away the remnants of your tears. “Okay,” you murmured, feeling the weight of his words settle in your heart.
“I hate seeing other people make you cry,” he continued, his voice taking on a darker tone, filled with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, feeling guilt creep in, despite knowing deep down it wasn’t your fault.
“No,” he said firmly, cupping your face in his hands, his touch gentle yet grounding. “You have nothing to be sorry about, Y/N.” He leaned in, brushing his lips against yours in a soft, lingering kiss that made your heart flutter and your worries feel momentarily distant.
“Do you understand?” he asked, his gaze searching yours, looking for reassurance in your glossy eyes. You nodded slowly, the connection between you solidifying with that simple gesture.
He deepened the kiss, pouring his warmth and understanding into the moment, before pulling you into another embrace. The world outside faded away, leaving just the two of you in this sanctuary of comfort.
“Stay the night,” he suggested softly, his breath warm against your ear. “Let’s shower and relax. You need it.”
You nodded again, feeling a sense of relief wash over you, allowing him to lead you upstairs.
———
You strip your clothes and step into the large warm shower room. Hongjoong follows behind you. The steaming water envelops you two, sighing as you allow yourself to relax. You both silently wash each other’s bodies and hair carefully. The only sound that can be heard is the water streaming and tapping on the tile floors. The quietness is comforting and much needed. You feel Hongjoong’s arm wrap behind you. His strong arm over your chest as he pulls you to his embrace. You both slowly rock underneath the water hitting your backs. His face nuzzles into your neck. Leaving soft kisses. You tilt your head allowing him more access to your soft wet skin.
“Y/N” Hongjoong softly mumbles against your neck.
“Yes?” You reply quietly taking in the sensation of his touch.
“I love you.” Hongjoong plants another kiss your neck once more before turning you around to face him. Your heart swells at his confession. You look at him in awe,
“I have always loved you.” Hongjoong whispers cupping your face.
“I love you Hongjoong” You whimper, pulling him into a deep kiss. Hongjoong doesn’t hesitate to reciprocate. Your lips move together in sync, tongues brushing against each other, your noses bumping together.
You feel Hongjoong grow harder as you two continue the heated kiss. You pant as his hands move together your waist, pulling you closer to his waist.
His lips are back to your neck, leaving a trail as he moves further down to your breasts. You moan at his warm tongue lapping over your nipples. He kisses the top of your breast briefly before softly biting it. He sucks your soft skin intentionally leaving a red mark.
“H—hongjoong” You moan throwing your head back. He pulls away and admires his marking on your skin. He smirks and leans down to kiss you. You moves your body slowly, your back softly lands against the cold tile walls. He slowly drops to his knees.
“Only you make me feel like this Y/N” Hongjoong softly says and hooks one of your thighs over his shoulder. He caresses your ass and brings your hips forward. He leaves a wet trail of kisses in your inner thighs. You whimper at the sensitive feeling. Hongjoong sticks out his tongue and strips it along your clit, earning a breathy moan from you. He tastes your wet juices and groans against your skin.
“Fuck” you moan as Hongjoong begins lapping his warm tongue over and over your entrance. His nose brushes against your clit stimulating you more.
Hongjoong devours your pussy harder as he enjoys your constant moans. His other arm hooks under your other leg bringing it to his shoulder. He lifts you effortlessly off the ground, against the wet tile wall. He holds onto your hips gripping onto your skin as he continues eating you out. Your hands instinctively grasp onto his hair for support. You’re a moaning mess as you move against his mouth.
Hongjoong groans and pulls your legs off. He’s back onto his feet and lifts you once again. You wrap your arms around his neck as he inserts his dick inside your pussy. You both moan loudly. He fucks you agaisnt the wall in a slow pace.
“God baby, you feel so fucken good” Hongjoong moans, resting his head in the crook of your neck.
“Want to feel you all the fucken time” He continues, kissing your neck in desperation.
“Me too Joong” you moan, “I want to be with you all the time” You whine holding him closer.
“Fuckk” He curses and picks up his pace. The grip on your waist tightens, making sure you won’t fall.
You cup Hongjoong’s face and bring his lips to yours. You brush your tongue over his lips and he moans, opening his mouth. You share a heated, wet messy kiss as he continues pumping into you. The once quiet shower, is now filled with the sounds of your wet bodies slapping against each other and heartfelt moans and breathy loving praises.
Hongjoong’s strokes become slow but deep, hitting your g spot at a perfect high. Your can’t help but tear up at the overwhelming pleasure, your tears fall flawlessly.
“So fucken pretty when you cry for me baby” Hongjoong moans and kisses your tears over and over. His wet lips peppering your teary face as he continues fucking you deeper. You moan loudly at his loving gesture making you whimper more as you feel your orgasm nearing.
“I’m going to cum Joong~” you whimper against his lips. “Me too baby” Hongjoong moans picking up his pace. You hold onto him tighter, wrapping your legs securely around his waist.
“C—cum inside me please Joongie?” you whine.
“Fuuck baby.” Hongjoong throws his head back, “Want me to fill your pussy?” He groans.
“Y—yess. I want it all p-please” You’re a whimpering mess as his pace becomes sloppy.
“Fuck okay baby. Joongie will cum inside your right pussy” He grunts, resting his forehead against yours as he looks into your glossy teary eyes,
“P-promise?” you whimper with a pout. Hongjoong feels his cock twitch as he looks at your cute fucked out expression.
“Fuuuck fuck, yes baby I promise” Hongjoong releases a load moan and continues his pace.
“I’m cumming” Hongjoong groans, and you hold onto him tightly, Your orgasm takes over you as you come together with him. You shake on his dick as you feel his hot warm cum shoot inside of you. You are both a panting mess. He stays inside of you for a while as you both take time to come down from your high.
Hongjoong slowly helps you back onto your feet as he slips out of you. His load drips out of your wet pussy in an instant and Hongjoong chuckles
“Fuck, that’s so hot” He groans and brings his fingers to collect his cum and shove it back inside you. You moan at the feeling and grab onto his shoulders.
“Joong~” you whine and he smirks.
“Such a fucken good girl baby” He kisses your lips. “Let’s wash up again” You both quietly giggle in each other’s embrace as you both take time cleaning one another.
Exiting the warm cascade of the shower, the steam curling around you like a gentle embrace, Hongjoong steps forward, his gaze softening as he wraps a towel around you. The fabric is plush against your skin, and you can’t help but giggle at his attentive care. He lifts you effortlessly, cradling you against his chest, and you instinctively hold onto him, feeling secure in his arms.
With a playful grin, he tosses you onto the bed, the soft sheets inviting against your damp skin. He leans down, pressing a tender kiss to your waist, his lips lingering for just a moment longer than necessary, igniting a warmth that spreads through you.
“I’ll get you some clothes,” he says, winking as he strides toward his expansive walk-in closet, the door swinging open to reveal an array of garments. You watch him rummage through the selection, his movements confident and relaxed.
When he returns, he’s in a pair of baggy gray sweats that hang low on his hips. In his hand, he holds an oversized shirt. He helps you slip into it, the shirt engulfing you in its cozy embrace. You can’t help but smile at how effortlessly he tends to you.
Once settled, he lays down beside you, the mattress sinking slightly under his weight. You instinctively curl up against his chest, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat lulling you into a state of comfort. A contented sigh escapes your lips as you nestle closer, feeling the safety of his presence enveloping you.
“I love you, Hongjoong,” you whisper softly, the words flowing from your heart with sincerity.
“I love you too, Y/N,” he replies, his voice a gentle caress. He leans down to place a soft kiss on your forehead, his arms tightening around you, pulling you even closer.
As the world outside fades away, a comforting silence settles around you, and together, you drift into a deep slumber, hearts intertwined in a peaceful embrace.

Email:
Miss Lee,
Please report to my office as soon as possible.
Haeun glanced at Hongjoong’s email, a smirk curling at the corners of her lips. Finally, the moment she had been waiting for had arrived: an opportunity for some alone time with him. With a purposeful stride, she made her way to Hongjoong’s office, only to notice that you were absent from your desk. She let out a derisive scoff, a wicked smile spreading across her face.
Interesting, she mused, Hongjoong wants to meet with me when Y/N isn’t around? It’s clear he’s been waiting for this. The thrill of her thoughts sent a rush of satisfaction through her as she approached the office door, knocking sharply.
“Come in,” Hongjoong’s calm voice echoed from within. Haeun twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open, revealing Hongjoong seated on his desk, arms crossed, a piercing gaze fixed on her.
“Hello, Mr. Kim. You wanted to see me?” Haeun purred, striding towards him with a confidence that bordered on arrogance.
“Please, sit. I have something important to discuss with you,” Hongjoong replied, his tone suddenly taking on a more serious edge. Haeun’s bravado faltered slightly at his stern demeanor, but she quickly recovered, settling into the chair with a deliberate poise.
“Sir, is everything alright?” she asked, her voice laced with faux sweetness.
“Miss Lee, do you have anything to tell me?” His glare was unyielding, and Haeun felt a flicker of unease.
“No, sir…” she replied, feigning innocence.
“Think again, Miss Lee.” He rose from his seat, moving around to sit on the edge of his desk. Haeun’s mind raced. Is he trying to initiate something? She rose from her chair, taking deliberate steps towards him, leaning in close.
“Mr. Kim, I’m sorry if I’ve been a bad girl” Haeun pouts. “Maybe you can teach me a lesson?” Her voice dropped to a whisper as she placed her hands on his shoulders, leaning closer.
Hongjoong recoiled, shoving her hands away with a look of disgust.
“Miss Lee, you’ve just proven that you’re unfit for this job or any job, for that matter.” He crossed his arms, his expression hardening.
“What?” Haeun’s confusion morphed into frustration, but a scoff escaped Hongjoong's lips as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small remote. With a click, the office TV screen flickered to life, revealing a recording.
Haeun’s heart dropped as she saw herself in the coffee break room, casually taking a phone call. Her own voice echoed through the office, each word hammering into her with a heavy weight.
“I already slept with the prof to get the best grades, and look where it got me. I don’t even have my degree yet! I just need the CEO now.”
The screen continued to replay her words, her bravado on full display. “Right?! What a coincidence that I keep fucking her men to excel in my career.”
“Well, no, I haven’t fucked the CEO yet, but I think I’m close,”
The color drained from Haeun's face as the realization hit her. Hongjoong paused the tape, letting the silence hang in the air like a noose.
“Miss Lee—” he began.
“I can explain!” she interjected, desperation creeping into her voice.
“There’s no need for an explanation,” he said unbothered. “I’ve spoken with your university and they talked to Professor Park Siwoo. You two weren’t as discreet as you thought.” Haeun’s eyes brimmed with tears, fear and anger intertwining within her.
“If you fire me, I’ll tell the press about your relationship with Y/N!” she threatened, her voice shaking. Hongjoong smirked in amusement,
“Your first mistake was disrespecting the woman I love. Now you think you can threaten me?” Hongjoong’s scoff echoed in the large office. “Go ahead, tell the press. We make a great couple, and we’re both well-loved by everyone. Nothing will happen.” His demeanor was unfazed, almost bored. And that infuriated Haeun.
“Lee Haeun, you’re fired. Pack your things and leave your employee badge on the way out,” he said firmly.
“Mr. K-Kim, please—” Haeun pleaded again, panic rising in her chest.
“LEAVE NOW!” Hongjoong shouted, pointing decisively at the door.
Hurt and humiliation surged through her. Haeun’s chest puffed with indignation as tears streamed down her face. With a defiant rip, she tore the employee badge from her neck and stormed out of his office, the echo of the door slamming behind her.
Hongjoong let out a deep sigh, a mix of relief and irritation swirling within him as he settled back into his desk chair. He had promised you that he would take care of Haeun and Siwoo, and he had followed through on that promise. This morning, he had insisted you take the day off—more like he had firmly nudged you out of the office for your own safety. He knew the moment he reported Siwoo’s inappropriate behavior to the university, the man would come hunting for you, either at your apartment or at work. So, as a precaution, he had whisked you away to his home, a sanctuary away from the chaos.
Now, you were indulging in the warmth of his jacuzzi, the steam rising around you like a gentle embrace as you binge-watched your favorite shows. The serene atmosphere was a welcome escape until the tranquility was interrupted by the ringing of your phone. Glancing at the screen, your heart fluttered when you saw Hongjoong’s name.
“Hi Joong,” you greeted softly, a smile blooming on your face.
“Hey baby, how you feeling?” His warm voice wrapped around you, sending a comforting shiver down your spine.
“I’m okay,” you replied, the softness in your tone matching the coziness of your surroundings.
“That’s good…” Hongjoong paused, and you could sense the weight of the world behind his words. “I talked to the university. They fired Siwoo.”
“Oh…” You were taken aback by the speed of his actions. It was reassuring and impressive, leaving you momentarily speechless.
“So, I think it’s best if you stay at my house for a few days. Siwoo is probably going to try to hunt you down,” he said, his voice gentle yet firm.
“Yeah, you’re right. Thank you, Joong…” you said, feeling a swell of gratitude. “And… what about Haeun?” You hesitated, the name lingering on your lips.
“Fired,” he stated simply. The relief that washed over you was palpable, a soothing balm to the tension that had built up in your chest.
“Thank you so much, Hongjoong,” you sighed, the weight lifting from your shoulders.
“I’d do anything to protect you, baby,” he replied, a promise nestled in his words. “I’ll see you later tonight, okay?”
“Okay,” you answered, warmth flooding your heart as the call ended.
You leaned back into the bubbling water, feeling as if a hundred burdens had been lifted from your shoulders. Each breath you took felt lighter, filled with gratitude for Hongjoong’s unwavering support. He had stood up for you, proving time and again how deeply he cared. This only deepened your affection for him, igniting a desire to be the best version of yourself. You wanted to show him just how much he meant to you, how much you appreciated everything he did. In this moment, you were reminded that love wasn’t just about grand gestures; it was about the quiet, steadfast presence that made everything feel safe.
———
A month had slipped by since Hongjoong confronted Siwoo and Haeun, and in that time, your life had transformed in ways you had only dared to dream. Happiness enveloped you like a warm blanket; the office, once a place of tension and unease, had returned to its familiar rhythm. Yet, there was a significant change that stirred beneath the surface—Hongjoong had made the bold decision to announce your relationship to the entire company.
At first, the thought of being so publicly exposed filled you with trepidation. The fear of judgment and gossip loomed large in your mind. But Hongjoong, with his unwavering confidence, had reassured you. “Everything is going to be okay,” he’d said, his eyes steady and sincere. And as always, he was right.
When the news broke, the initial shock soon gave way to a wave of excitement among your colleagues. The reactions were overwhelmingly positive. People whispered excitedly in the break room, their faces lighting up with joy. Some had even confided that they had hoped for this moment, having observed the undeniable chemistry between you and Hongjoong. “We always knew you two were meant to be!” one coworker exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.
Others chimed in, reminiscing about moments they’d witnessed that hinted at your connection—the way Hongjoong would always find a reason to check in on youz It became clear that your relationship was not only accepted but celebrated. Your colleagues appreciated the way you both balanced your professional responsibilities with the tenderness of your partnership. It made the atmosphere in the office lighter, more enjoyable, and ultimately strengthened the bonds among the team.
As you settled back into the daily grind, you couldn’t help but notice the difference in the dynamics at work. Your coworkers seemed more relaxed, their laughter echoing through the halls as they reveled in the joy of your romance. You felt a renewed sense of belonging, and it was all thanks to Hongjoong’s courage to stand by your side.
In meetings, there was a new energy, a camaraderie that had blossomed from your relationship. Everyone seemed more engaged, and the collaborative spirit was palpable. You and Hongjoong often exchanged knowing glances across the conference table, little sparks of affection that did not go unnoticed. It was as if your love had breathed new life into the workplace, creating an environment where everyone felt a little more connected.
Every day, as you walked into the office, you felt grateful for the second chance at happiness you had found with Hongjoong. His steadfast support and the way he embraced your relationship with such pride made you appreciate him even more. Together, you were not just colleagues but partners in every sense of the word, navigating the complexities of both work and love hand in hand. It was a beautiful balance, one that made you look forward to each new day with excitement and hope.
———
“Hey, let’s go out tonight after your shift,” Hongjoong suggested, leaning casually over your monitor. His warm smile lit up the dim office, and you felt your heart flutter in response.
“Where to?” you asked, curiosity dancing in your voice.
“Just for a drink at a pub,” he replied, that charming grin never wavering.
“Okay,” you said, a smile spreading across your face as you felt the anticipation of the evening ahead.
As the clock struck the end of your shift, you found yourself stepping into the bustling pub, its lively atmosphere a sharp contrast to the quiet confines of the office. You and Hongjoong made your way to the bar, where you settled onto the cushioned stools. After placing your orders—something refreshing for you and a darker brew for him—Hongjoong insisted on getting some appetizers to share.
“So what’s the occasion?” you asked, taking a sip of your drink, the coolness invigorating.
“Does there need to be an occasion to take my girlfriend out?” he replied, arching an eyebrow playfully.
“Well, no…” you admitted, a soft blush creeping to your cheeks as you met his gaze. His laughter was like music to your ears, filling the space between you with warmth.
“I know we’ve both been busy lately. I just wanted us to finally take some time for ourselves,” Hongjoong said, leaning closer. He gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear, his touch sending a shiver down your spine. “Plus, I’ve been craving this pub’s appetizers.”
You both shared a laugh, the ease of the moment enveloping you. The night unfolded with heartfelt conversations and playful banter, the outside world fading away as you lost yourselves in each other. Hongjoong's hand rested comfortably on your thigh, a subtle but electrifying reminder of his presence as he looked at you with admiration.
“I’ll be back. I need to use the bathroom,” he said, rising from his seat. Before he turned away, he leaned in close, his breath warm against your ear. “When I get back, let’s go home so I can take care of you.”
Your heart raced at his words, a rush of heat flooding your cheeks as you nodded, caught off guard yet undeniably thrilled by the promise behind his statement. As he walked away, you took a moment to collect yourself, the ambiance of the pub buzzing around you while you savored the anticipation of what was to come.
“Y/N?” The familiar voice sliced through the ambient noise of the pub, and your heart dropped like a stone. You turned slowly, dread pooling in your stomach.
“S-Siwoo…” you managed to say, trying to keep your voice steady despite the anxiety that threatened to overwhelm you.
He leaned against the bar table, a mocking grin plastered across his face. “I knew it was you.” Without a hint of hesitation, he snatched the drink from your hand and downed it in one swift motion. “You know, ever since you left me, I haven’t been the same,” he said, feigning a hurt tone.
“Siwoo, you need to leave,” you said firmly, your heart racing.
“Oh, did you finally grow some confidence?” he chuckled, his gaze piercing as he studied you. “You used to be so easy to push around until you started hanging out with that snobby CEO of yours.” He rolled his eyes, grabbing a fry from your plate and crunching it between his teeth. “Where’s that person who got me fired, anyway?”
You turned away, trying to ignore him. Engaging with Siwoo would only escalate the situation. “Aww, don’t tell me he stood you up?” Siwoo leaned closer, his voice dripping with insincerity. “Let me take you home and remind you of what you’re missing.” His smirk made your skin crawl.
Just then, you felt a strong arm drape over your shoulders, pulling you into a protective embrace.
“She’s already coming home with me,” Hongjoong said coolly, his voice unwavering. The intensity of the moment made your heart race even faster. “And I doubt she’s missing anything from you.” A confident smirk graced his lips.
“Ahh~ there you are, the CEO she’s been with,” Siwoo sneered, standing up to face Hongjoong. “And the reason I got fired…”
“Hongjoong, let’s go…” you said softly, sensing the tension rising. You could feel Hongjoong’s cool demeanor, but you knew how volatile Siwoo could be. He nodded, helping you out of your chair with a deliberate calm.
“Awh, come on! You’re leaving already?!” Siwoo shouted, his voice rising above the chatter of the pub as you and Hongjoong passed him. Hongjoong’s arm remained protectively around you, guiding you away.
“You’re a whore, Y/N!” Siwoo called after you, causing several heads to turn. The weight of his words hung in the air, and Hongjoong’s eyes blazed with rage. He turned to you, cupping your face with a mix of concern and intensity before quickly redirecting his focus back to Siwoo.
In a swift motion, Hongjoong stepped toward Siwoo, grabbing him by the collar. Gasps echoed throughout the pub, and your stomach twisted with fear at the prospect of a fight breaking out.
Hongjoong tightened his grip, his voice low and menacing. “You better stay in your fucken lane. I already got you fired from your job. Now imagine what worse I can do.”
Siwoo scoffed, trying to play it off. “Is that a threat?”
“Don’t underestimate me, Siwoo. I can end you.” Hongjoong’s smirk was chilling.
Siwoo rolled his eyes and shoved Hongjoong’s arms off him, but Hongjoong didn’t budge. “You think you’re all big and mighty because you’ve got money?” Siwoo taunted, pushing Hongjoong again.
In that moment, you stepped closer to Hongjoong, grabbing his arm. “Joong, let’s go home,” you pleaded, desperation in your voice. He looked at you, his jaw tightening, before finally relenting.
“Yeah, listen to your bitch,” Siwoo laughed, and Hongjoong’s anger flared again, but you quickly pulled him back, cupping his face in your hands.
“Hongjoong, look at me. It’s not worth it. He’s purposely trying to provoke you. Let’s just go home, please.” Your voice was calm yet insistent.
Hongjoong took a deep breath, his expression softening as he closed his eyes to steady himself. He held your hand tightly, nodding in agreement. Leaning down, he pressed a warm, deep kiss to your lips, igniting a spark of comfort amidst the chaos. As he pulled away, he gave you a reassuring smile before wrapping his arm securely around your shoulders, leading you toward the exit.
“Fuck you, Y/N!” Siwoo shouted after you, but Hongjoong shot a glare over his shoulder, the intensity palpable as you stepped outside.
“Security, make sure that man doesn’t come back here,” Hongjoong instructed a guard at the door, his tone authoritative.
“Of course, Mr. Kim. I’ll deal with him right away,” the security guard responded, bowing slightly before making his way back inside.
You looked up at Hongjoong, confusion etched on your face. “You know that security guard?”
“The owner of this pub is my best friend,” Hongjoong said with a wink, pulling you closer. “Everyone knows me very well.” The sense of safety his presence offered enveloped you as you stepped into the cool night air, leaving the chaos of the pub behind.
———
The ride back home felt suffocatingly quiet, the tension thick enough to cut through. Hongjoong’s jaw was clenched, his grip on the steering wheel so tight that his knuckles turned white. He stared straight ahead, focused on the road as if it were a lifeline, completely lost in his thoughts.
“Joong…” you ventured, breaking the silence, but he merely hummed in response, his eyes never leaving the asphalt ribbon winding before him.
“Are you mad at me?” you asked softly, your voice barely a whisper. You could feel tears pooling at the corners of your eyes, a bittersweet sting threatening to spill over.
He sighed heavily as he turned into his driveway, the gravel crunching beneath the tires. Finally, he parked the car and turned to face you, his expression softening just a fraction.
“Why would I be mad at you, baby?” he asked, his tone gentle, yet a hint of concern lingered beneath the surface. He reached up, his fingers tangling lightly in your hair, caressing you with a tenderness that melted away some of the heaviness between you.
“I just hate that he disrespected you like that,” he admitted, knowing the weight of the earlier confrontation with Siwoo still pressed on your heart. Hongjoong’s hand glided down to your cheek, and you leaned into his palm, seeking comfort in his warm touch.
“Who cares about him? He’s irrelevant and pathetic,” you murmured, a fire igniting in your chest. Hongjoong chuckled softly, the sound a balm to your frayed nerves.
“You’re so right, baby,” he replied, a playful smirk creeping onto his lips. He released a deep sigh, unbuckling his seatbelt, the tension in his shoulders beginning to ease. “Let me show you who you belong to.”
A teasing giggle escaped your lips as you unfastened your seatbelt. “I already know who I belong to,” you shot back, your heart racing at the promise in his words.
In an instant, you both leaped out of the car, adrenaline surging through you. Hongjoong strode toward you with purpose, his hand playfully tapping your hips. Without hesitation, you wrapped your arms around his neck, leaping into his embrace. He caught you easily, securing your waist as you instinctively wrapped your legs around him.
“Fuck, Y/N” he said, his impatience evident as he made his way toward the grand front doors of his house. You couldn’t help but giggle at his eagerness, peppering soft kisses along his neck, each one igniting the warmth in both your hearts.
Hongjoong couldn’t take the few extra steps to his bed. Instead, he dropped you onto the soft plush couch. You giggled in an instant and looked at him in awe. Hongjoong quickly shook off his coat and loosened his tie. You reached for the satin fabric and gripped on it tightly. You pulled it forward, causing Hongjoong to drop onto the couch with you. He propped himself up with his palms on the sides of your head. You pulled him closer, closing the gap between your lips.
You whimpered in the kiss as his tongue lapped against yours. Hongjoong chuckles at your boldness and instinctively begins rubbing his lower body against yours.
“I fucken love you Y/N” Hongjoong moans and moves towards your neck. You begin panting at his warm tongue brushing against your soft skin.
“God I love you Hongjoong” You moan, running your hands through his soft hair.
Hongjoong’s hands move to your thin white blouse and hastily unbuttons your shirt. In desperation, he rips off the shirt. The white buttons can be heard ripping off the fabric.
“Joong~ that was my favorite shirt!” you whine with a slight giggle at his eagerness.
“I’ll fucken buy you a hundred of those later” Hongjoong hisses and stuffs his face in your soft breasts. You moan in response and throw your head back.
Hongjoong pulls away from you and looks at you with the most lustful gaze ever. He begins unbuttoning your black slacks and pulling them off your waist. You’re left in your matching red lace bra and panties.
“You know, I fucken love that you’re always in a sexy pair of matching bra and underwear” Hongjoong praises as his hands run down your body. Taking in your whole existence. He leans down to pepper kisses along your waist and over your chest.
“Oh~ Joong-“ You moan at his intoxicating soft touch.
Hongjoong pulls away once again, and begins pulling off his tie.
“Do you trust me Y/N?” Hongjoong softly asks and he grips his tie in his hands. You nod in response. He begins bringing his tie towards your eyes.
“W—wait” you say hastily, Hongjoong instantly stops and looks at you in concern.
“I—I want to see you take off your clothes first…” you whisper, feeling embarrassed. Hongjoong chuckles and his smirk widens
“Such a dirty girl.” Hongjoong places his tie on the head of the couch.
“Help Joongie take off his clothes then” Hongjoong teases leaning back on his knees. You pout in embarrassment and begin propping yourself up. Your hands reach towards the buttons of his shirt and for some reason you struggle to unbutton it. “Come on baby~” Hongjoong chuckles at your clumsiness. Tears well up in embarrassment as you finally get the last buttons off. You push fabric off his toned arms and whimper at his sexy body. Your fingers grace over his tattoo and you instinctively kiss it. Hongjoong groans at your gesture and caresses your hair.
“Fuck, take off my pants baby” Hongjoong says as he stands up on his feet. You reach towards his belt and unbuckle it quickly. You couldn’t help the tears that fell from your eyes in frustration and desperation to feel him. Hongjoong moans at the sight of your teary eyes. He cups your cheek and wipes your tears slowly.
“So fucken pretty” he whispers as you pull off his pants and briefs. His hard cock throbs in craving for you. Hongjoong leans down and kisses your lips as his thumbs brush your wet cheeks.
“Fuck do I really want to cover your pretty eyes?” Hongjoong chuckles as he rests his forehead on yours. You whimper in protest, to be honest you love seeing his face as he fucks you senseless.
Hongjoong pulls away and shakes his head. Releasing a sigh he grabs his tie.
“Nah, I do.” Hongjoong smirks as you pout. He brings the tie towards your face and you close your eyes in instinct. He securely ties the fabric around your face and places a kiss on your forehead.
“I’ll take this off once your tears soak up that tie.” He whispers softly. “Understood?” Hongjoong leans towards your ear his soft breath sending shivers down your spine, “Yes, Hongjoong.” you whimper out.
“You gotta cry for me, alright baby?” Hongjoong groans as he pulls away to take in the lewd sight of you.
“Yes, Joong~” you moan as tears fall from your eyes and hit the fabric.
Hongjoong carefully pushes your body to lay on the soft cushioned couch. His hands grace over your waist and thighs. He hooks his fingers over your red lacy panties to pull them off, a wet string of your juices clings onto the fabric.
“Fuck, Y/N you’re so wet” Hongjoong moans at the sight of your perfect wet pussy.
“I don’t even need to prep you baby” Hongjoong chuckles as he inserts a finger in you. You release a loud moan, tears streaming down. Hongjoong touches himself as he begins pumping his fingers deeper into your wet cunt. The quiet living room is filled with the sounds of your wet pussy, breathy pants from Hongjoong, and quiet whines from your plump lips.
“What’s wrong baby?” Hongjoong teases, his pace getting faster.
“W—want you inside Joongie.” You cry as you reach out your hands in hope to touch his skin. Hongjoong bites his lips at the submissive state you’re in.
“Yeah? You want me inside of you?” Hongjoong moans.
“Y—yes, please” you whimper out sniffling your nose. You feel the first layer of the satin fabric getting soaked at you cry in desperation to feel Hongjoong.
“Awh~ such a crybaby” Hongjoong chuckles as he pulls his fingers out of you. He places his fingers in his mouth tasting you, and he begins pumping himself faster. He moans at his lewd action, knowing you can’t see how dirty he looks right now tasting your juices on his fingers in pleasure.
“Fuck-“ He grunts as he pops his fingers out his mouth.
Now impatient as well, Hongjoong quickly enters you. You yelp in pleasure, finally feeling him inside of you. Hongjoong moans at your warm pussy wrapping around him. He quickly reaches behind your back and skillfully unclasps your bra. He fondles your breasts and begins moving his hips deeper inside you. You’re a moaning, crying mess from the overstimulation of his hard big cock hitting your g-spot with ease.
Hongjoong bites his lip as he looks at your face. Your lips are plumped and parted as you moaned. Your cheeks flushed red in pleasure. The satin fabric that covered your eyes is soaked with your tears. He moans in desperation to see your glossy teary eyes. So in response, he leans down to kiss your lips softly before he pulls the satin tie off your face.
Your watery eyes are met with a dreamy faced Hongjoong. He clearly looks just as fucked out as you as. His strokes get deeper at the sight of your face. Your mascara began smearing lightly, as the mixture of your tears and the fabric cause the streaks down your face. Hongjoong moans loudly as he brings his hands to cup your face and wipe your tears and smeared makeup.
“Fuck, I’m going to cum already.” Hongjoong grunts as he closes his eyes, taking in the immense pleasure.
“Me too Joong~” you moan in response.
“Yeah, cum for me baby” Hongjoong’s pace becomes sloppy as more tears stream down your face.
“H—harder” you whimper, wrapping your arms and legs around his body, bringing him closer.
“Fuck Y/N~” Hongjoong thrusts harder and deeper. He feels your pussy clench over his cock, knowing you hit your orgasm. You cry out in pleasure as you ride out your high. Hongjoong quickens his pace and grunts, feeling himself cumming.
“So fucken good for me” Hongjoong moans loudly as he thrusts deeply in you and releases his load inside you.
You moan at the warm feeling, holding onto him as you both calm down from the intense orgasm. Hongjoong’s face is buried in the crook of your neck as he pants. Your hands found their way to his hair as he catches his breath.
“Fuck I should just make you have my baby” Hongjoong chuckles. You gasp in response and giggle.
“Not yet Joong~” you blush at his words.
“Hm? not yet? interesting” he teases, puckering his lips to kiss your neck. You laugh at his banter as he pulls away from you. He kisses your lips deeply and caresses your face.
“I love you, Y/N,” he whispered softly, his breath a gentle caress against your ear.
The words sent a rush of warmth through you, causing your heart to clench with an overwhelming mix of affection and longing. “I love you, Hongjoong,” you replied, your voice filled with sincerity, each syllable weighted with emotion.
The love you felt for him was unlike anything else—something deep and indescribable. It transcended mere words, existing in the shared glances, the tender touches, and the quiet moments of understanding. You knew that Hongjoong would do anything for you, going to great lengths to ensure your happiness and protect you from harm.
In return, you would do anything for him without hesitation. You’d sacrifice everything for his joy, support him through every challenge, and stand by his side through the ups and downs of life.
You knew that you’d love him, hold him, and cry for him. Forever.

only us who knows - leehan
synopsis: you havent seen your boyfriend, leehan, in a while so you decided to surprise him in his fansign and he tries his best not to be obvious infront of everyone else
got inspired from this leehan vid
warnings: secret relationship, fluff, idol!leehan x non-idol!reader
wc: 781
more under the cut!
video calls and late-night messages were never quite enough. nothing could ever be as great as having your boyfriend beside you; it’s been two months since you last saw each other. your heart has been torn between the joy of his success and the loneliness of his absence over the months apart, and the pain has been constant. despite all, your love remained the same.
but tonight, you are now standing in line for their fan sign in japan. you had to fly over for a few hours just to see him again, and leehan knows nothing about it. you’re standing there like everyone else, your hands sweaty, your heart racing, even though you've touched his hand a hundred times. seeing him welcome each fan with that bright smile you know so well makes it feel unreal, like a strange combination of tension and excitement. if feels weird to be here, publicly supporting him like everyone else, even though you've been keeping your relationship with him a secret.
with each step, the line moves closer, and your heart beats more loudly. in the hopes that he won't notice you until the last minute, you keep your head down. you can already imagine his reaction: his breathless laughter, his wide-eyed shock, and his usual way of reaching for your hand, as though he finds it hard to believe you're real.
taesan was seated first, followed by sungho, jaehyun, riwoo, leehan, and then woonhak. right before it was your turn to interact with jaehyun, leehan’s eyes found yours across the room, and his face broke into the most genuine, unguarded smile, the kind he usually saves just for you. you could tell that he could not contain his excitement anymore and he started finding it hard to focus on the fan in front of him. he tried to contain it, molding his features into a more controlled smile, but you could see the sparkle in his eyes, the barely-contained excitement. leehan can’t hide it from you, not even if he tried.
and then, it’s your turn.
leehan’s face breaks into a more radiant smile, and he practically bounces in his chair. you furrow your eyebrows worriedly and your eyes try to tell him not to be so obvious. he clears his throat and says in his usual fan sign tone, “thank you for coming to see me.” but, his voice has a warmth and tenderness meant for you, and his eyes tell a different story, hinting at all the words he can’t say here. the two of you softly chuckles. he squeezes your hand, his thumb grazing your fingers in a way that, after all this time away, feels both exhilarating and natural. “i couldn’t wait any longer.” you said.
he kept squeezing your hand gently, as if to say “i’ve missed you, too.”
but he breathes, almost like a whisper, “i missed you.” and you become wary of your surroundings, worried someone must have heard him because leehan was not bothered to be worrying about anyone hearing what he just said. because to be honest, he will scream how much he misses you in front of everyone else if he could. he then slides his other hand under the table, giving your knee a reassuring squeeze.
his eyes hold yours, and then his look fell into every feature you have on your face, glistening with that comforting warmth, and you know he’s struggling to hold back. “can’t i just stand there and hug you? i don’t think holding hands is enough.”
his eyes lingered on your lips.
one thing about leehan when he’s restrained from doing something he wants, he becomes insufferable. “careful, a lot of people are watching.” you whisper, trying to remind him of where you both are. he tries to regain his composure but can’t help but lean in a little closer than necessary. he laughs softly and shakes his head, his eyes dancing with mischief. "you make it hard for me to be professional."
right when the staff asks you it’s almost time to move, leehan’s touch which was once so subtle now felt like he didn’t want to let go. the warmth in his eyes is becoming unmistakable and the fans are starting to notice. before you’re ushered to move along, he scribbles something on one of the pages in the album. even as you walk away, you feel his gaze following you and then he mouths something only you could understand and feel.
“i love you.”
after you are done with the fan sign, you flip through the pages of the album and see his writing: let’s meet at our hotel later. it’s my turn to surprise you.

hey! please could you do a dallas imagine where you have been dating him for a while, you guys get in an argument and the reader gives him silent treatment. i’m curious how dallas would react! 🩷🩷🩷
Summary: Silent treatment after fighting with Dal, Warnings: Toxic relationship Author's note: 3 posts in one day!?!?! am i finally getting my life together??????? (no i'm just procrastinating) God, fights with Dally would just drive you up the wall. There was little to no rhyme or reason to his methods, if you pissed him off, he would hold a grudge for a whole day to a week. With him, it wasn't a matter of will, but when. Despite this you two kept finding your way back together. You found some sort of genuine solace when you were with Dallas, something you couldn't pinpoint or wrap your head around. Lately, Dallas had been getting more and more stressed, the incoming rumble looming in on him and some other issues with the gang. He'd been going off on you whenever you slightly displeased him and in order to stop rising tensions, you never spoke about any of it. However, there is only so much a person can take. After a particularly heated argument you found yourself behind your locked bedroom door, seething with anger. "That's the last he'll ever hear from me," You whispered, to your angry reflection in the mirror that was across from you. Tear stains and mascara smudged your cheeks and you angrily wiped them off. You spent a good amount of time fixing yourself up. By the time you were done, your eyes were less puffy and red and you looked generally normal. Slowly, you creaked open your door, Dallas was sitting on your living room, playing with his switch, completely oblivious to the rollercoaster he just put you through. Your lip tightened and your jaw clenched. You walked past him with your head held high. "Woah, where do you think you're going all dolled up?" He asked, a hint of venom in his voice. You rolled your eyes to yourself and kept walking to the door. "Hey, I'm talking to you," He got up now, walking towards you with his hands in his pockets, his switch long forgotten on your coffee table. You eyed him as he walked over, but reminded yourself of your plan and turned away, reaching for the door handle. Dallas's hand stopped you, however it was gentle which wasn't what you expected. "I asked you a question, Y/n." He spoke again, voice low. You just stared blankly and then furrowed your brows in anger, tossing off his hand with a single flick of your wrist. "Fine, you wanna be like that?" He asked, opening the door for you. You walked out without even sparing him a glance. "Be back by 9:30," He hollered. You rolled your eyes. "You're not my dad!" You hollered back, turning to him with a frown. "Yeah, but at least you're talkin' to me now," He said, a light smirk playing on his lips before he shut the door.

I WOULD HAVE REALLY LIKED DOING JUST LAUNDRY AND TAXES WITH YOU. -finnick odair
you and finnick wonder about what could have been
based on hunger games catching fire
you and finnick were not lovers, you could never be lovers
Simply because Panem was a country not built for love. It could harvest fear, hatred, anger, perhaps even hope by the looks of it but never love
despite these words, you find yourself resting against Finnick's shoulder at what seems to be the dead of night. Even though he was keeping watch, you choose to remain awake with him, alongside him.
"you should get some rest" finnick whispers but you don't reply, he takes your silence as your response, knowing better to fight against you
"never thought I'd be back here" he looks around the jungle, letting out a low whistle "it's just how I remember it, i still hate it"
The silence engulfs you both, it's obvious how the two of you were not the only ones who hated the situation. None of you had really thought you'd be back in the arena and surely none of you had hoped to
You look over at where Peeta and Katniss were asleep "you think they're really inlove?"
You both talk in low whispers, not wanting everyone else watching to hear your conversation
Finnick pauses, he thinks, "yes, I think so"
"really?" You give him a quizzical glance
"yea" Finnick pauses again "they just don't realise it"
You bite your lower lip, nodding your head "well then paint me green with envy" you mumble softly
Finnick locks eyes with you, confused, puzzles "why you say that?" His voice is ever so soft and gentle
"the entire nation is rooting for their love and turns out, they really are inlove" your words are simple but yet Finnick feels a pang in his chest. He notices the way you emphasize the word inlove.
It's obvious that if any of the other tributes, say namely finnick and you ever fall inlove, then Panem surely won't welcome this news with the same warmth as they did to Katniss and Peeta
You find yourself leaning even closer into Finnick, finding comfort in his warmth "if.." your words hang from your tongue, as if though you were unsure of your words
"if?" Finnick questions
"if things were different, would we have never met?" You hate the way your voice has a hint of desperation, slight confirmation
"you mean if the games never existed? If Panem was simply just another country?"
You nod too quickly, you realise.
"you'r crazy if you think that we'd never meet" there's a slight smile etched in his face "I'd go against the universe if it tried to keep me away from meeting you"
You hold your breath for a second, the same feeling blossoming in the pits of your heart, the same feelings you had always kept hidden in the pits of your heart.
Despite the complication in your chest you continue, ignoring the implications of his words
"universe?" You ask before you could stop yourself "you think there's a universe out there where none of this happens?" You refer to the war, the pain, the games.
"hey, it's you who brought up the topic not me" finnick quips, again silence befalls the both of you,
"if another universe existed" you continue, since you brought up the topic after all "I think you'd be an actor, I can't imagine you anything but ordinary" there's a smile in your voice, a tone of half teasing "you'd live in the limelight, adored by your fans all across the world"
He let's out a laugh "there's nothing this handsome face can't accomplish" finnick retorts, matching your tone, grinning "and you? I can't imagine you anything else but ordinary aswell"
"oh trust me I would love to be just another ordinary person" you say "I would do anything to be a normal person living in a normal place"
Finnick sighs, dramatically "I guess then I'd have to give up my celebrity life for you" he raises his eyebrows as he looks at you " you know I'd love to have an ordinary life with you"
There's a softness to his words, no sharp edges, no tears, no bites. Just pure genuinity, you could almost call it love, you wished you could allow yourself to call it love
"and ordinary life with me would be boring" you shake your head, discouraging the idea
"life could never be boring if I had you by my side"
You didn't want to admit it, you didn't want to admit that maybe perhaps you felt a certain way towards Finnick, maybe he did too.
Your life was all too messed up, beyond repair and broken.
you didn't want to bring yourself to more pain, especially not if it was in the hands of finnick
"you'd have to do boring regular things" you continue to argue, not wanting to believe finnick. It was all too painfull
"I'd love to do boring regular things with you," finnick retorts back "what exactly is this boring regular things?"
"like laundry and...." Your loss for words "and taxes!" Your blurt out the only thing in your mind
Finnick give you a hard long stare, his jaw tightening before he looks away from you, looking towards the blank sky
"well then, I would have really liked doing just laundry and taxes with you"
Again, the same silence engulfs the two of you, finnick still not tearing his eyes away from the sky as you in turn refuse to look away from his face.
you and finnick were not lovers,
because then the Capitol would see that as treason. you and finnick couldn't be lovers because then the entirety of Panem would see that as rejection
But yet you and finnick were many other things. Many unnamed things, a bit too close to be called friends, a glance that lasted a little too long to be considered acquaintances,
you and finnick were all the things, all things but lovers, never lovers.
But right now your leaning against him, your hands caressing his cheek and your lips colliding with his for the entirety of Panem to see,
"I would have really liked doing just laundry and taxes with you too" you whisper

Pain Is Pleasure - Vampire!Miguel O’Hara x Reader
Imagine your vampire boss wants to fuck you despite his aversion to silver
Tags: 18+, Smut, Reader is pierced tf up (tongue, lip, nipple, COOCHIE), Pain kink
Masterlist
Vampire!Miguel who glowered when he first laid eyes on you. Jessica brought you back to HQ singing your praises after watching you fight a particularly difficult anomaly. Your suit was “worse” than Hobie’s what with all the chains, spikes, and studs that littered it. How you flung yourself through the air without getting caught on anything was beyond him.
Vampire!Miguel who visibly recoiled when you took your mask off revealing your metal-stricken face. You had a piercing on both eyebrows, studs on the top and sides of your ears as well as a daith, on both of your nostrils, a septum, a Medusa, right under your bottom lip, and two rings on the right side of it.
“Just give her a watch already and get her out of my sight.”
“He’s a real ball of sunshine,” you had said once you and Jess left his little ‘lair’.
“It’s all that silver,” she laughed.
Vampire!Miguel who can’t take his eyes off of you whenever you’re around. Your piercings are just so vile that he has to inspect every single one of them whenever he can. Even if it makes him look a bit weird.
Vampire!Miguel who notices your quick wit and sharp mind with an infectious positivity that even he can’t resist. No matter how much he wants to.
Vampire!Miguel who eventually finds your company enjoyable leaving him to seek you out at HQ as well.
“I need you to figure this out for me.”
“Hey, you busy? Something’s wrong with Lyla and I know you’re good with technology.”
“Need you for an assignment. It wont take long.”
Vampire!Miguel who starts to ignore the natural repel he has towards silver to go on missions with you. Sure, Jess told him that you were more than capable of handling them yourself and if you needed back up then she could go instead, but Miguel is insistent that you need proper supervision. No one who has that many piercings can be fully trusted, and who is better for the job than the boss?
You, who initially thought he hated your guts and was genuinely surprised when he first asked for you to accompany him as long as you “kept those weapons of destruction away from him”. When you both met he was grumpy and distant. Actually, he straight up avoided you like the plague. You guess he’s been warming up to you lately which, although you were very happy about it, it made you anxious.
Miguel O’Hara is a fine man. He easily towers over you, his eyes are always low, the red gleam making him look all the more dangerous. That along with his sunken cheeks and strong jaw, it’s no wonder you shake every time he’s near. It was easy to control your crush (let’s face it, lust) when he was avoiding you, and now it seems that he wants you attached at his hip.
Vampire!Miguel who you didn’t know could smell the effect he has on you. Vampire!Miguel who has to focus when he’s with you to keep from drooling from the intoxicating scent you give off. It was light and floral with the smallest hint of blood from all the metal. Each inhale would slightly singe his nose hairs, and he found himself liking it.
Vampire!Miguel who starts noticing how much you piercings enhance your beauty. Your Medusa brings out your Cupid’s Bow while your labret accentuates your bottom lip making it look like you have a natural pout. Your eye brow piercings brought out the arch better. And the nose piercings were simply just adorable.
Vampire!Miguel who finds himself having to retract his claws at the very mention of your name. His breathing gets heavier, he salivates more, his eyes become a deep crimson; he’s starting to get it bad. He imagines the burn he would feel from biting and sucking on your lips and gets excited. Oh no.
Vampire!Miguel who kicks you out of his office the moment you both get back so he can give his aching dick some attention. While he panted and hunched over his desk fucking his fist, you stood outside of the room slightly hurt by his actions.
Vampire!Miguel who was so close but had to stop because he heard Hobie speaking to you. “What’s got you so down, love?”
“Oh, it’s nothing. Thanks, though.”
“Where you running off too? Come chat with me.”
Vampire!Miguel who immediately opens the door to chase after you and tell you that he needs you again.
Vampire!Miguel who resists sinking his canines into your neck as he bullies his dick into your wet pussy. His mind is clouded with fiery hot lust that’s fanned with each sweet moan that escapes you.
Vampire!Miguel who grunts in pain as he softly nips your ear. He can’t help it, you make the cutest whines when he plays with your pierced body parts.
He surprised himself when he attached his mouth to yours. The pain was small and insignificant, it felt like pressing a hot spoon to his lips. And then he stuck his tongue in your mouth and pushed you away. “Fuck,” he cursed holding his own tongue.
You were horribly confused and then you realized, “Shit, I have a tongue piercing,” you told him. He watched you open your mouth and stick it out to show him. At that moment, he was no longer concerned with his own safety, you looked so slutty with your tongue out for him like that.
“Keep it open,” he commanded walking towards you. He grabbed your neck and spat onto the piercing. “Swallow.” You obliged.
Vampire!Miguel who started reconsidering this decision when he finally got you out of your suit completely. Your body was more amazing than he imagined, but there were two things keeping him from enjoying it. Although, he couldn’t lie, they made your tits look ethereal.
The throbbing of his dick and the precum pooling on the floor made his choice for him. He grabbed you to sit on his lap right on top of his member, hissing upon impact. You slightly lifted your hips to look down at the angry red patch on it. It healing as soon as you rose.
“What you got down there?” He asked, although he already knew.
If his heart was working, it would have beat out of his chest. With the small smile you gave him as you angled your hips upwards and spread your pretty cunt to show him a piercing on your clit, Miguel completely melted in his seat. He grabbed your hips and sat you back down not waisting anytime hooking his mouth over your nipples.
The burn from his mouth and dick translated to an intense blanket of heat on your own body. It felt amazing and you found yourself grinding into him. The groan he let out rumbled in his throat.
“Ah,” he grunts which each lick of your nipple. The metal sears his flesh. He hisses and moans from the pain. But how could he stop, when you were whimpering so desperately and humping him like a fucking whore?
You almost came from the stimulation, but before you did he pushed you off of him and bent you over the desk. He aligned his dick with your wet entrance and spat on it. Then, without warning, he stuffed you full of his hot length.
“This is what you wanted?” He teased, his hands gripping your hips for dear life. “Acting like you didn’t want to cum every time you looked at me. Answer me.”
“Yes, baby, fuck,” you moaned into the air.
“I’m the only who can see you like this?” He asked, a sense of possession rushing over him.
“Y-Yes, Miguel.” You’ve completely lost your composure, not being able to focus on anything except his thick dick stuffing you with every thrust. You gushed as he drilled you, making him throw his head back. You both felt a coil build up in your abdomen.
“You gonna cum?” He smirked when you nodded dumbly, not able to speak from how good he was fucking you. You squeezed him as you came undone and Miguel closed his eyes and fucked you harder.
“Fuck, where do you want it?”
“On my face, baby.”
He thrusted a few more times before pulling out of you and beating himself off. You turned around and kneeled down sticking your beautiful tongue out again. “Ohhh, fuck,” he moaned, holding your head as he spilled his hot cum over your face and body.
His final spurts landed in your mouth and he slapped his dick right in the piercing, hissing and jerking his hips from the sting. But, he guesses he likes it.
Vampire!Miguel who definitely isn't letting you go. He needs to feel you roll that metal ball over his tip. He wonders how badly it would hurt, and how quickly he would come.

best be prepared to get all that you bargained for
Buggy isn't used to the gentle touch you give him since you joined his crew three months ago. Rating: PG to PG-13 maybe? Warnings: Buggy isn't used to the gentle touch of a partner. Abuse never mentioned but mistreatment is hinted at, not necessarily by a romantic partner, just the world in general. There's injuries and blood mentioned, as well as alcohol. A/N: It took a few tries to write this but I like how it turned out. I had to think of the show "Leverage" to get some of the juices flowing. This came from a combined suggestion by @nerium-lil and @gabegade for Buggy love at first sight and him not knowing how to deal with affection. Thank you both! Title comes from "Carousel" by Tricky Pixie.
It definitely took Buggy some getting used to having a partner as gentle as you. He was used to living on the edge, looking over his shoulder for trouble while running head long into it. He didn't necessarily seek out trouble as he would trip, stumble, and fall into it.
Literally.
He literally tripped on a tree root and fell, smashing his face hard into another root while you two were out on a stroll.
He expected to hear you laughing at him while imagining some non-existent bystanders saying Oh, that Buggy can't even take his love out on a walk without making himself look like a fool. So he was surprised when you were immediately at his side, helping him sit up before touching his face gently. He jerked away from you, not actually expecting the gentle touches on his face. He was used to force, roughness when it came to injuries.
He barely felt your touches, you were so careful.
“You're bleeding.” You said with a sigh. “Let's get back to the ship. I'll get you cleaned up.”
“I'm fine.” He snapped, pulling away from you as his face burned with embarrassment. You weren't deterred by his gruff reaction. You got to your feet and held your hand out to help him up but he slapped it away before getting up. “Let's go.”
You followed after him, placing your hand in the small of his back to steady him just in case. He shook your hand off, glancing back at you, wondering why you were doing this. He didn't need someone to be soft around him; gentle wasn't even in his vocabulary. Yet you kept close to him, hand out, ready to catch him if he stumbled again.
When you got back to the ship, he tried to get away from you, he could clean himself up without your pity. He didn't want you to think less of him for tripping like that in front of you. Except you grabbed the back of his jacket, pulling him along with you as you took him to his room.
“I'm fine!” He growled.
“Wait here. I'll get some bandages and towels.” You told him. “You have a cut on your cheek, and your nose is bleeding.”
“Don’t bother, I’ll live.” Buggy grumbled, but you were already walking out of the room to grab the items. He sat down at the foot of the bed, arms crossed as he glared down at his feet. He was a fool, tripping like that. Why didn’t he watch where he was going? Oh, because you laughed at something he said, but in a genuine way, not mocking or anything and he couldn’t help but do a double take. That’s when he tripped, fell, and smashed his face.
It was like when you first met, face to face when you both tried to rob the same person. Both of you grabbed onto the vase worth more than Buggy’s bounty, and when you both locked eyes it was like butterflies exploded around you while birds sang the loveliest tune. Would he admit it was love at first sight? Only under the influence of a lot of alcohol. You, however, would giggle and say of course it was. You looked into his beautiful eyes and were captivated in that moment.
In that same moment he dropped the vase on his foot while you slipped out of your aerial silks, managing to avoid the shattered pottery.
You joined his crew before he finished asking, knowing the client the vase had been for would no doubt come after you for losing such a worthy item, not to mention the actual owner would be quite upset. That was only three months ago and you were already enjoying life in the tent. While you sometimes missed working alone, being able to enjoy the spoils of a theft without others nearby, you came to appreciate having people who had your back. Having an extra set of eyes to tell you which way to go made it easier to avoid trouble, and several of the crew were quite strong, able to pull you up by the silks faster than you could climb up in case of an issue. Not to mention just having help getting things set up and carried from location to location was a load off your shoulders.
Buggy looked up when you returned, nudging the door closed with your foot as your arms were full of towels, a basket with a first aid kit, and a large bottle of rum for him. He made a face when he saw what you had. What the hell were you getting at?
“I grabbed you something to drink while I fix you up.” You told him as you set the basket down and handed him the bottle. He took it from you and removed the cork, immediately raising the bottle to his lips to have a drink while you held up a towel. He flinched when you raised a corner of the towel to his face, leaning away from your touch. You frowned.
“You okay?”
“I don’t need help with this!” He snapped. “I can take care of myself, you know!”
You didn’t say anything as you leaned your face towards his; he swallowed nervously, wondering what you were going to do, when your hand moved to the back of his head, holding it in place as you started cleaning the blood from his nose. Thankfully he didn’t bleed too much, just banged it a little and scratched the top of it. He stiffened when you did that, the bottle slipping from his fingers, but you were quicker, catching it and setting it on the floor.
“I know you can, Buggy.” You murmured as you adjusted the towel in your hand, using a clean edge to wipe away the blood. “But let me take care of you, okay? You don’t have to do it yourself.”
He didn’t actually know how to respond to that. Before you came along, whenever he’d get any kind of injury he’d just take care of it himself. A bottle of rum or whiskey and a needle and thread usually did the trick, but you were there now, cleaning the blood from his nose before moving to the one on his face. The cut was a little more serious, so you made sure it was cleaned properly before grabbing some bandages to help the skin heal.
“I’m almost done.” You told him as you placed the first bandage, smoothing it over his cheek before readying the second one. He leaned back when you did that and you frowned. “What?”
“You really don’t have to do this.” He insisted. You raised an eyebrow before quickly applying the second one before he could pull back again. “Hey!”
“And I just told you that I would take care of you.” You replied firmly. “It’s okay to be taken care of, Buggy. You don’t have to do it alone.”
“Yea, but-”
“Buggy, I worked alone for the last seven years.” You told him as you held his face in your hands, inspecting him for any other injury. “And while I sometimes miss just having alone time, I’m happy to be here, knowing there’s others who have my back no matter what.” You leaned forward, bumping your forehead against his gently. “And I want you to know I have your back, sweetheart. I’ll clean all your wounds, no matter how big or small.”
He crossed his arms and looked away from you, cheeks pink as he took in your words. His eyes started to burn, tears threatening to spill. He was not into lovey dovey words or anything like that, so for you to say that to him had him feeling a little unsure. He didn’t want to be, he wanted to be confident around you, and he often was, but when he was vulnerable like this it was different. You weren’t going to take advantage of him, hurt him, or anything. You were going to make sure he was taken care of.
“You want me to bring you a snack or something?” You asked him as you collected the towels and clutter into the basket. He shook his head and sniffled loudly, refusing to look at you. You shrugged and reached for the basket but he grabbed you by the wrist.
“I skinned my knees.” He muttered, glancing at you while gesturing to the dirty spots on the knees of his pants. He hastily wiped at his eyes with the sleeve of his jacket. “When I fell, that is. And they’ve been bleeding.”
“Oh.” You smiled at him and grabbed one of the extra towels you brought. “Well, let’s get those pants off so I can get you cleaned up, Buggy.” You picked the rum bottle up and had a sip before handing it back to him with a wink. “I’ll be gentle, don’t worry.”

i got super ill about the homestuck kids’ accents and wrote a whole thing
john: your stereotypical american accent that one thinks of, californian but diluted basically. says you guys a lot. pronounces wash kind of like warsh. also sometimes uses weirdly formal language, like television instead of TV, refrigerator instead of fridge, even automobile instead of car - dad’s fault. trained himself out of it cause he thought it was embarrassing, but slips up sometimes.
rose: somewhat of a transatlantic accent, including the speech patterns. picked it up from old tv shows and movies because she didn’t want to sound like roxy-mom (who has a thick mixture of a new york/boston/rhode island accent). but growing up with roxy-mom, she has a bit of that accent too - so it’s this weird mixture of 30% stereotypical American, 50% transatlantic, 20% boston accent.
dave: texan accent, courtesy of dirk!bro, who spoke in the most stereotypical drawling texan accent ever. as he got older he started to think it wasn’t cool, so he started masking it, but it’s still there. gets stronger when he expresses emotion or when he forgets to mask it. gratuitous use of the word y’all. doesn’t say it over text but it’s a habit in real life. drops g’s at the end of words, like singin’, fuckin’, etc.
jade: obviously had no outside contact with other people other than with grandpa, so she has a slight british accent - kept up with learning to talk by watching youtube videos, so the accent isn’t very strong. also, even before going god tier, had weird canine vocalizations picked up from bec, like growling, whining, even sometimes howling, etc.
jane: very similar to john’s, but sounds…older? not transatlantic, but similar to late 19th century-early 20th century accents, with song-like intonation and faint r’s. heavy emphasized consonants and slight vowel merging with e and i, such that pen and pin sound virtually the same. all in all, what you’d imagine a canadian from the 1800s talks like.
roxy: the goddamn heaviest stereotypical new york accent ever. a weird super heavy mix of queens and staten island accent she learned entirely for shits and giggles, and also to annoy rose-mom. not very nasally though, unless she’s trying to annoy someone on purpose. a lot of the word like thrown in. doesn’t say it over text, but it’s a habit irl.
dirk: the flattest most unplaceable standard american accent ever, apart from a hint of a texan accent. learned to talk from the internet and robots, but when he was very young used to repeatedly watch videos that dave!bro left for him and programmed around the house. dave!bro had a heavy texan accent, which is where he picked that up from. drops g’s at the end of words, like singin’, fuckin’, etc.
jake: really heavy, stereotypically posh british accent that sounds like what an american thinks a british person sounds like. but he’s 100% genuine about it and there’s no real explanation for why he does it, other than the fact that when he was very young he used to repeatedly watch grandma’s favorite movies - old british movies. now it’s just a habit and he can’t be trained out of it.

So long - pt. 2 𒂭
part 2 of 3 ------------ 𖦹 tags: james hetfield x reader, fluff, smut, best friends to lovers, bet, 80s james, a little angst if you squint ♱ a/n: here's part 2 just like i promised! Also... this got too long again and I had to split once more, I'm sorry. Next part will be the last hopefully! I'll probably only be able to post it on wednesday or thursday tho, but we'll see how things go! Thanks to everyone that has been reading and liking my story, it truly made me happy!
𖦹 part 1 𖦹 part 2 𖦹 part 3
Both of you entered the bar already chatting excitedly, just as you imagined, whatever disagreement that came between you two couldn't last long. You and James' friendship went way back.
"Let's get you a drink." James' playful smile made you smile involuntarily back.
He ordered two beers and raised his glass after you two settled down on a table near the wall, on a spot where the soft yellow light shined right on James' blonde locks.
"To making up!" He said, the smile never leaving his lips.
"If you say so." You shrugged, raising your glass too, but there wasn't any hint of resentment in your voice.
"I really am sorry about what I've said to you earlier. I never wanted to hurt you." He repeated his apology sincerely.
You shrugged again in response, not wanting to make a big deal out of it again.
"What has gotten into you anyway?" You asked genuinely curious before taking a sip.
"I don't really know." He admitted and you could sense some embarrassment coming from him. "I guess my emotions were all over the place and I took all on you. I truly hope you can forgive me."
You just nodded in response, you could easily understand his side.
Soon one beer became two, then three… and before you could realize it, both were a bit too drunk, laughing obnoxiously loud at each other's stupid jokes.
At a certain moment, while James were rambling about his new guitar, your mind wandered as you studied his features under the soft light. The unruly blond hair now gained a different shine, the blue eyes seemed more vivid, and the skin covered by acne suddenly got a different charm to it.
You've known him for years, but, for some reason, the realization that he had grown into a man only hit you now. It's not like you haven't noticed his changes at all, you could admit the boy you knew had gained the charms of a man a long time ago, however, something at that bar made it all become more evident. Maybe it was the alcohol speaking. Regardless, you just stayed silent, lost in your thoughts.
"What are you thinking about?" James' voice cut through your mind, his eyebrow quirked in confusion. "You're looking at me like I have two heads or something." He added, a chuckle coming out of his lips.
You snapped out of it as soon as you heard him, your cheeks heating up in response to his question.
"What?" You laughed nervously "Sorry, just got lost in my thoughts for a moment, go on."
James grinned, finding your flustered expression too amusing to let it go.
"I must really put you in a state to make you blush like that." He took another sip of his beer and kept grinning at you. "What were you thinking about before? I'm curious now."
You tried your best to appear bored and rested your elbow on the table, putting your chin on top of your hand.
"Nothing. Just… Work."
He studied your face and the playful expression he had before turned into a smirk.
"You're hiding something." He teased. "You're a terrible liar."
You rolled your eyes, pretending to be offended by his observation.
"I'm not!" You shot back. "I said it's nothing. You're too curious for your own good."
"Come on, tell me." He nudged your shoulder. "It's not fair if you keep it a secret."
"Not fair? What? Don't you have any secrets?" You scoffed.
"Of course I do. But your secrets are much more interesting to me right now than my own." He leaned closer and raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "So spill it. What were you really thinking about? Was it a boy?"
You looked at him incredulous, just wishing he would drop the subject.
"You can't be serious." You looked with concern in your expression at him and he laughed in response.
"Oh, I'm being serious. You were blushing so hard, so it must be a boy." He grinned, crossing his arms. It was clear that he was enjoying messing up with you. "So come on, spill it. Is it someone I know? Do you want me to hook you up?"
"No! What? You're crazy." You couldn't believe he thought you wanted him to hook you up with somebody.
"I know you're thinking about someone, just tell me already. Who's the lucky guy?" He pressed again.
"There's... No one!" You were starting to get frustrated.
"Oh, please. You can't fool me, I know you. You were obviously daydreaming about someone." He raised an eyebrow again and you had to take a deep breath in order to control yourself. "Is it one of the guys? Lars maybe? Or... Is it Kirk? I know you two are very close. You got a thing for him?" His voice dripped with amusement, it was clear he was enjoying teasing you.
"What?!" You opened your mouth in shock as he started pointing names. "I've never...! I never liked Kirk! Where did this come from?!"
"I can see the way you look at him sometimes." He chuckled, it seemed like he was testing you. "If it's not him, then who is it? I won't leave you alone until you tell me."
"Kirk is like a brother to me!" You said offended, your cheeks getting hot once again.
"You're protesting a little too much. I know you're hiding something from me." He studied your blushed face in silence for a second "Well, whoever he is, we can play matchmaker and set you up on a date." He batted his eyelashes dramatically at you and laughed.
"Why are you so invested in being my wingman? Who says I need one?"
You were getting tired of this talk. One second of distraction staring too much at him and now you had to deal with James playing guess by himself. He already loved getting on your nerves, but whenever he got drunk that would get worse.
"You've been single for almost a year now." He grinned. "I just want to help you find someone to share your life with."
You couldn't believe he decided to throw that on your face. Ouch. You sighed and looked around the bar for a second, trying to find a good response.
"Why don't you worry about your own love life?"
He chuckled again, shrugging off your comment.
"You know I don't do long-term relationships." He said casually. "I'm more of a one-night-stand kind of guy." He winked and that irritated you.
You looked down at your hands, trying to navigate your feelings. For some reason, hearing that he had been sleeping with other girls made you feel jealous. You tried your best to not seem affected, but James noticed the shift in your reaction.
"What's wrong with one-night stands?" He asked, his tone playful.
"I just think it's gross." You cursed yourself mentally for your childish response.
"C'mon... You're such a prude." He rolled his eyes and teased you, nudging at your arm. "One-night stands aren't gross, they're just casual fun. You should try it sometime, it might loosen you up a bit." There was that smug grin again that made you heated.
"I don't need to loosen up, I'm fine the way I am." You tried defending yourself. "And also, I'm not a prude."
"Sure, keep telling yourself this." He shrugged, that grin only growing wider at your frustration. "But deep down, you're just a boring goody-two-shoes who wouldn't know how to have a good time if your life depended on it." He continued. "Bet you've never even been on a proper date before."
You scoffed. Yeah, he made a habit of teasing you and yes, that would worsen whenever he drunk, but tonight he seemed even more invested in driving you nuts. "Is it just the alcohol?" You asked yourself.
"Of course I have!" You crossed your arms. "I can have fun just fine. I just think the girls you hook up with are gross."
You tried attacking him, but it was clear that your response only amused him even more.
"Gross, huh? Interesting choice of words." He leaned closer once again. "Does that mean you think I'm gross too? For hooking up with random girls?" He waited for your response, staring at you.
"I've never said that." You regretted mentioning his hookups and sighed.
"I know you're judgmental of my dating life." He leaned back and shrugged. "You're probably just jealous that I'm getting some action and you're not." He smiled triumphantly.
"Who says I'm not getting some action?" You tried your best to sound convincing but your attempt only made him laugh.
"Oh, really? With whom exactly? A pillow? A stuffed animal?" You blushed and he caught your reaction. "I knew it. You don't have anyone. Which is why you're so sour and uptight because you're not getting laid." He taunted.
"You're such an ass." You looked away and rolled your eyes. "It's none of your business, maybe? Just leave my love life alone, please." At this point, you had given up winning this conversation.
"Alright, alright. I'll leave your non-existent love life alone." He raised both of his hands in surrender. "But if you need some advice on how to get laid, come to me. I'm something of an expert, y'know?" He winked playfully.
"Like I would take your advice." You laughed sarcastically, seeing the perfect chance to annoy him back. "Bet you don't how to please girls at all." You added, certain that this would drive him crazy.
In response, he just smiled and shook his head. A different reaction that you were expecting.
"Oh yeah? You think I can't satisfy a girl?" He said confidently and leaned closer to you once again. "In fact, I bet I could satisfy you better than any other guy you've ever been with."
You stopped in your tracks, wondering if you heard him right. "He's just trying to get a reaction of me." You thought to tranquilize yourself.
"No way. Bet you take like... One minute." You decided just to keep teasing, trying to give him hell back for being so annoying.
"You think I'm that bad?" He raised an eyebrow with a smile on his lips. He then went silent for a second and something in his expression changed. "How about we make a bet then? If I can't please you better than anyone you've ever been with before, I'll do the dishes at your house for a week. But... If I do a good job, you have to take me out on a date."
"What?" Your mind went blank with shock and you felt a wave of heat from the embarrassment go through your entire body. Everything was all fun and games until now, but now you were just dumbfounded.
James noticed the shock in your expression and bit his lip, realizing he may have overstepped, but it was too late to take back now.
"Just hear me out. It'll be fun, it's just a harmless bet." He said quickly. "We are friends, right? What's wrong with having some fun?" He tried.
You couldn't even look straight at him now. It's true that you've been getting more and more attracted to him, but since you were best friends, you never expected this kind of proposal to come from him. Was it the alcohol? Was he just trying to prove a point? Your thoughts ran a 100 mph, trying to decide what should you do.
"I..." You started, then shook your head in an attempt to clear your mind. "Fine, it's a bet."

Secrets in Love
A/n: No one asked for this, did anyone besides me even want this? I don't know, but it exists now and it is quite possibly the longest one I've written.
Warnings: Angst, blood, enemies to lovers, omegaverse au, reader goes on a date with a creepy guy and he follows her around a bit, smut, unprotected p in v, slight breeding kink (it's not mentioned but it's kind of hinted to?), marking, if you think I missed anything please let me know otherwise enjoy <3
James went to your high school and you hated him. It wasn’t that you really hated him, he just seemed to hate you. Always picking on you, stealing your food, poking fun at you whenever he saw the chance. Your weekends were your escape from him and you took that time very seriously.
You’d run a bubble bath, set up candles and everything.
You were just getting out when you heard a knock on the door. It was persistent and loud, of course no one else was home so you had to run down in a bathrobe to answer it.
On the other side was James, drenched from the rain with blood soaked into his clothes, but that wasn’t the most catching feature he had. Fluffy dog ears and a tail protruded from him. You stared at him wide eyed for a moment before he spoke up.
“C-can I come in..? P-please..?” His voice was shaky and weak, his heart beating fast and he was short of breath. You nodded silently and let him in.
He walked straight past you and went to crash on your couch. You followed him, grabbing the first aid kit your family kept in the kitchen on your way. You knelt beside him, pulling up his shirt to see the damage. Wounds on either side of his torso, blood spilling out and seeping into your couch. You ran to get a clean cloth, returning a few moments later with a bowl of warm water to clean him off with.
James winced with every stroke but soon you had him mostly cleaned off, enough for you to bandage him up. He stayed laying down as it was comfortable and he didn’t want to risk sitting up. You stayed beside him, watching over him. You couldn’t keep your gaze from falling to his ears and tail though...
“I know what you’re thinking.” He muttered, staring up at the ceiling. You didn’t respond and continued to eye him nervously. “You can touch them if you want.” You looked to his eyes to make sure he was being genuine. In his blue eyes you saw pain, and a wistful anger. Vulnerability.
Hesitantly, you reached out for the fluffy golden ears poking out of his big hair. He closed his eyes and let out a heavy breath as you started petting his ears. “So,” you started, “you’re, like, a werewolf..?” James chuckled softly, a smile playing on his lips.
“Not a werewolf, a hybrid.” He said. You remembered seeing a new island that had been discovered not too long ago. It had been inhabited by human-like creatures with animalistic features, from what people had seen they had the ability to turn completely into animals or humans whenever they pleased.
You hadn’t paid much attention to it, it was far away and didn’t affect you. Right? That’s when James turned up at your school to make your life hell...
You sat next to James as he explained what had really happened, how people came and boarded them onto boats, shipping families apart and ruining everything. You felt for him, really, but that didn’t change the fact that he treated you like shit.
“What happened to your family?” You asked, hand still rubbing his soft ears. James opened his eyes finally and looked at you.
“I was fortunate.” He said. “They were gone long before you people came.” You had expected him to say something about how they’d managed to end up together. Not that.
“Oh.” You pulled your hand back. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know.”
“How would you?” You shrugged. You paused a moment before standing up and walking to the kitchen. “Where are you going?” James called, leaning back on his arms so he could watch you, you could only imagine the discomfort given his expression.
“I’m just getting something to eat.” He nodded and laid back down. You stepped into the kitchen and paused again, going back to see him. “What do you eat?” He stared at you for a moment. “Like, do you need dog food or something?” James laughed at that.
“Anything’s fine, just don’t give me salad.” You nodded in understanding.
“Is it bad for you?” You asked, wanting to understand him the best you could.
“No.” He said, shaking his head. “I just hate it.” You rolled your eyes and went back to the kitchen to get him something to eat.
The TV was on but you weren’t really watching it, too busy thinking about the events of the night. James lay across the couch while you were on the floor in front of him, both of you had something to eat.
“Where are your parents?” James asked, breaking the almost silence.
You looked at him over your shoulder. “On a work trip, they won’t be back for a few weeks.” You explained. James nodded. “Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to rest on my couch.” James smiled and went back to eating. You weren’t sure what you would tell your parents when they saw the bloodstains on the couch. You might just have to replace it.
James was asleep before you even finished eating, he’d devoured his own food and was snoring happily, nose twitching occasionally. He was on his side with pillows supporting him. His tail lay over him. It was big, fluffy. The prettiest yellow colour. You couldn’t help yourself and reached over to touch it.
The odd appendage began to sway slightly, a sign that he was enjoying your touch. So you kept petting him. Soon his tail was thumping against the couch.
He twitched occasionally but you thought nothing of it. Until he grabbed your hand. You hadn’t realised he’d awoken. “Sorry, I shouldn’t’ve...” You trailed off as he brought your hand to his face, giving it a sniff before he licked a trail over the back of your palm.
His tongue was weird. Neither totally human nor totally dog. It was thinner, flatter and very smooth. You stared at him a moment longer. “What are you doing?” You asked, finally.
James looked at you, his eyes drowsy. “Smell good.” He mumbled, holding your hand loosely in his.
You pulled your hand away. “Alright, well, I’ll be in my room upstairs if you need me.” You said awkwardly as you stood up. He was asleep before you even left the room, snoring soundly once again.
You woke up but it felt like a dream. It was still dark, odd since you were a heavy sleeper, usually sleeping straight through the night. There was a weight at your feet, warm and shifting. You turned the lamp on your nightstand on and looked down to find a furry lump at the end of your bed.
“James?” You asked, your voice groggy from sleep. You kicked him gently, trying to shake him awake. Slowly you were met with the head of a golden retriever, his own sleepy eyes looking into yours. “What are you doing?” You watched as the dog got off the bed, James suddenly appearing in its place. He didn’t have a shirt on, he hadn’t since you’d bandaged him up. His jeans were undone and sagging, you figured he was uncomfortable in them.
Thinking about it, sleeping as a dog must be more comfortable for him. No need to worry about a blanket or pillow, you could just find an open space on the floor and crash.
James crawled onto the bed again, getting under the blankets and curling up behind you. He threw an arm around you and pulled you close to him. “Go back to sleep.” He grumbled.
You didn’t know what to do. Earlier today you hated him, part of you still did. Now his arm was around you and he was breathing down your neck, in a pleasant way. You reached over and turned the light off again, relaxing into James and falling asleep.
James awoke the next morning and stretched out, his eyes screwed shut as his joints cracked. He let out a heavy sigh until your scent hit his nose. His eyes snapped open when he realised where he was, your bed alone.
He raced out of your room and down the stairs to find you in the kitchen making pancakes. You looked over at him when you heard him flying down the stairs. “Smell of pancakes get you up?” You teased.
James breathed a sigh of relief and came over to you. “Yeah, something like that.” He wrapped his arms around your waist. You tensed at the feeling and flipped the last of the pancakes onto a plate so you could bring them over to the dining table. James let go of you but followed close behind.
“What are you doing today?” You asked when you’d gotten settled, each of you having a plate of sweet food, James’ stack significantly higher than yours.
James shrugged. “What are you doing?”
“I have a date.” James dropped his fork.
“What?” His eyes bore into yours with a new found hatred.
A shaky breath left you. “A date.” You repeated. You were waiting for the old James to shine through. The only difference was there was more of a danger if he tried to hurt you, you were alone and he was stronger than you initially thought.
“I heard you the first time,” he said, “I just mean how?”
You poked at your food. “Despite what you think, people actually like me.” James huffed but didn’t say anything more and you ate in silence.
Getting ready for your date James hovered over you the whole time, commenting on every outfit you looked at. “I can’t show up naked!” You groaned. James huffed again and pushed you aside, digging through your closet for a moment before pulling out an outfit that matched his style much more closely to yours. An old band shirt your dad gave you that you only wore when doing something where you could get dirty and a pair of blue jeans.
He tossed them on the floor and crossed his arms over his chest, waiting expectantly for you to put it on. You gestured for him to turn away from you and he did, staring blankly into the closet until you were ready to show him the outfit. You gave him a spin and he gave a small nod in approval, though he still didn’t look pleased.
You stood at the door, bag in hand. “Are you fine to stay here until I come back?” James stared at you a little dumbfounded.
“Until you come back?” He repeated. “You’re leaving me to go on a date?”
“Did you think you were coming with me?” You asked in a shocked tone. James didn’t reply, only crossed his arms and looked away. You scoffed and rolled your eyes before leaving, locking the door behind you.
You were having a good time. Your date was going well but it was awkward. You’d gone to school with this guy for a while but he seemed so creepy all of a sudden. You made sure to stay in open spaces with lots of people around, though he kept trying to lead you off somewhere more secluded.
At some point you just had to call it off and go home but he didn’t leave you alone, trailing behind you as you walked. You couldn’t go home now, you didn’t want to call the cops because that would mean stopping. You just had to keep walking in circles until he fucked off, and you knew he didn’t plan on doing so anytime soon.
In a panic you turned a corner onto a small street, not blocked away from the busier streets but there weren’t many people there. You knew your mistake immediately but you couldn’t turn back, so you kept walking.
The street spilled into many alleyways, each one worse than the last. At the end it led out to another busier street so you sped up. Naturally, you started walking closer to the right until you were pulled into one of the alley’s. You mentally cursed yourself over and over again, rethinking every part of your life. You weren’t sure what to do now.
That’s when you heard it.
That familiarly warm and vile tone.
“Are you ok?” James asked as he looked down at you, his bright blue eyes now clouded with something you weren’t quite sure how to label. It was a mix of so many things but beneath it all you found comfort in it.
You gave a small nod. You felt a hand on your shoulder and snapped your head back to see your date. “Sorry, we got a little lost.” He said calmly while you tensed under his touch. You looked back to James as if asking for help. If not for yesterday you would’ve been even more scared having found him here. There was a fury in his eyes you’d never seen before, you didn’t question it when he pushed you to the side.
You wanted to run, and you did. You ran until you were surrounded by people again, and then you kept running, your last view of the two being James’ fluffy features making another appearance.
You hadn’t told him where you were going, even then you’d walked pretty far from the original destination. How James found you was a mystery, you couldn’t be happier that he did nonetheless.
It was already getting dark by the time you got home and you went straight to the bathroom to run yourself a bath, needing to take extra good care of yourself after the hectic last couple hours.
Candles, smelling salts, bubbles, roses, the whole nine yards and more. You got into your favourite pyjamas and watched a marathon of your favourite comfort movies after getting yourself snacks.
When it got late you double checked all your locks and shut all the blinds before crawling into bed, leaving the light on your nightstand on since you didn’t feel quite safe in the dark. It made it harder to fall asleep but at least you could sleep.
Late into the night you heard rustling and it spooked you awake, jumping up in your bed. It was muffled and coming from outside, which relaxed you a bit but not a lot.
Then you heard knocking on your window and you jumped out of bed and rushed to your door. There was no phone in your room, the closest was in your parents and you regretted not bringing it in with you earlier.
Another knock.
This time you looked back, you weren’t sure why you did but when you did you saw James clinging to the tree outside. You breathed a heavy sigh of relief and went over to let him in. “Why didn’t you use the fucking door?” You asked while he crawled in.
“Would you have answered?” He asked as he fell onto the floor with a thud, he didn’t seem bothered by it in the slightest and got up, ears and tail on full display now. You thought about it and no, no you wouldn’t have.
“Still, that was creep-” You didn’t get to finish your sentence as James’ lips crashed into yours, his arms wrapping around you and pulled you close to him. You froze for a moment before kissing him back, but then you stopped again and pulled away. “Wait, James, what are you-?” Again you were interrupted by a kiss.
“Please.” He said in almost a growl against your lips. You told yourself to pull away but you also didn’t want to. You liked it when he pulled you closer, when his big hands squeezed your sides as he pushed you around or groped your chest and ass. You liked how his tongue felt against yours, how he tasted and the way he bit your lips.
You loved every part of it, all the way down to how he laid over you on your bed. The noises coming out of him were animalistic desire in its purest form and you couldn’t get enough of it. He was quick to rid you both of your clothes, not wasting any time in prepping your hole as you were already wet and loose for him to sink into your sweet heat. You let out a moan as he pushed into you, his big dick forming a bulge on your abdomen.
James kept kissing you all over, using his arms to hold himself up and cage you in under him. There was barely enough room for atoms to exist between your two bodies as he fucked you, pistoning his hips in and out of you at a harsh pace.
The room filled with your high-pitched moans and his low grunts which fell right into your ears. He was breathing so heavy, like panting but with a gruffness to it. You gripped onto him tightly, nails digging into his shoulders, sure to leave scratches.
His sides were still bandages and you were sure the wounds were bugging him right now, parts of them were peeling off from his sweat. But he was relentless, continuously bucking his hips into yours.
“You’re so fucking perfect.” He grunted in your ear. “You’re fucking mine, ya hear? No more dates with fuckers like him.” You didn’t trust your voice so you nodded, a whine leaving you.
James’ lips trailed down from your ear to your jaw, down your neck before stopping at the crook of your neck, right where it meets your shoulder. “Mine.” He growled again before biting down on you.
You let out a noise that was a mix between a moan and a scream. It hurt, his canines digging into your skin, blood seeping out. You repeatedly hit his back to get him to stop but he didn’t budge, relishing in the way you squirmed, or was it the pleasure he derived from your pain? You couldn’t say, it didn’t matter, whatever the reason he wasn’t letting go.
Even with the pain he made you feel so fucking good, hitting all the right spots and stretching you out like you’d never imagined and sending you over the edge. Your head fell back, eyes rolling into your head as your body went limp under James, pleasure rocking through your hot body in waves.
Still, James didn’t stop, now on a hunt for his own pleasure. Or, was that all he was looking for?
He rut into you a few more times before cumming deep inside you, hot cum filling you to the brim as if James hadn’t already accomplished that. It was only then that he unclasped his jaw from your fragile, broken skin and started licking the wound clean. His partly dog-like tongue was soothing and it no longer hurt as bad.
James didn’t pull out of you. Instead, he rolled onto his bed and pulled you on top of him, making sure to keep you nice and stuffed full of him and his seed, his arms wrapped neatly around your waist while your head rested on his chest.
You looked up at him, mind foggy and body muggy. You smiled tiredly and reached up to pet his ears. He let out the sweetest moan when you did. “You should’ve told me you liked that sooner.” You teased with a soft giggle, still scratching his ears and playing with his hair.
James smiled but didn’t look at you, too tired to lift his head. “I was busy.” You laughed at that.
“Yeah, my neck noticed.” You sighed. “I’m gonna have to wear turtlenecks for months because of you.” James’ head suddenly shot up at that, a confused look on his face, bordering hurt.
“No you don’t?” It came out as a question but you knew it was an order.
“James, my parents will kill me if they see this.” You said, taking your hand off his head and pointing to the small gashes at the base of your neck.
James shook his head. “I marked you for a reason, and it was not for it to be hidden.” He let his head fall against the pillow again.
You lifted yourself off of him slightly, as much as your strength, and his arms around you, would let you. “You ‘marked’ me?” You asked, slight panic settling into you at the unfamiliar term.
James nodded. “Yes.” He said bluntly, only explaining further when he saw the confused and worried expression on your face. “I’m an alpha, that means you’re my omega. It’s a pact. You’re mine.” You stared down at him in disbelief but didn’t question any further. You were too tired and, honestly, you kind of liked the idea...

Secrets of the Heart
Aemond Targaryen x Reader
Part [ 1 / ? ]
Warning : +18 + a bit incestuous(?
____ was born as Rhanyera Targaryen's second daughter… Which was a privilege itself but also a fact that complicated the things, as she held affections towards Aemond Targaryen.
From a young age, she always reproached her brothers and her uncle Aegon about their treatment and teasing towards Aemond.
As for Aemond, he always had a kind of love for her. Always so gentle and protective of him.
Though there were times when he imagined a life with ____, soon a feeling of resentment and hatred reminded him that it was the princess's brothers, the ones who mistreated and mocked him all his childhood. If he were to marry her, he would have to deal with the existence of his brothers-in-law….
In any case, such feelings were not usually enough to make him feel less for the princess. Even if it was silent, it was clear the affection they had for each other. No matter the inter-family conflicts, ____ would always contemplate her uncle as that little boy who suffered the attitudes, words, and actions of cold and apathetic people who only sought the power of the throne. And that weirdly would just make her love him more. The very idea of someday being able to give him the love he never had tickled her soul.
At parties and feasts, the two of them would try to stay together, trying not to be obvious. They would brush their fingers in soft caresses condemned to remain hidden.
They would exchange glances whenever they kept each other company in the castle library. Aemond would accompany her on her usual walks in the garden, hinting more than once how ungraceful the flowers looked compared to her.
____ would practice with sword and bow in secret, as she really longed to be a woman capable of defending herself. Aemond would discover her and fall even more madly in love with her. He loved knowing how strong and bold his princess could be.
Secretly they would meet to practice the arts of combat. ____, more than once, finding herself defeated. But that would not discourage her.
While Aemond well enjoyed their practice meetings, the truth was that he enjoyed them more for the pleasure of being able to spend time with her. Watching her be competitive and fierce, yet persistent and strong. He saw her in what he wanted to believe was her purest side. One that didn't hesitate to present herself as genuinely as she really was. One who seemed to completely forget her titles and her education as a “miss”. One that Aemond was beginning to suspect might perhaps be attracted to him.
—You seem to see me less as a lady by every passing day, my prince— she said amused as she remained on the floor and vaguely wiped her dirty hands against her clothes.
—On the contrary, princess, as far as I'm concerned, you look more and more like one with every day we spend together— he said with a sly smile as he bent down to sit next to her.
—"Silly"— she mumbled with a pout that she undid as she felt a stinging pain on her lower lip. And Aemond noticed.
With a frown he leaned down careful as he gently stroke his thumb over the small bleeding cut on her skin.
—I'm sorry my princess, I didn't mean to hurt you….
As he continued to caress gently, with his gaze fixed on what he had caused; ____ could only watch him.
How was it possible that a entire kingdom saw his uncle as a cold-hearted man that should be feared?
He knew very well that this was the truth. He would never be a friendly and gentle prince…. but for ____…. Aemond was determined to be a different man. One who was worthy of his niece's affection. One who could show compassion and affection. He was bent on building a version of himself that was reserved solely and exclusively for ____.
The tension was palpable even in the silence. Their breaths still hitched from the recent combat they had. Aemond squeezed ____'s lip lightly, managing to get a small trickle of blood to drip out. She frowned a little from the pain. But it faded away as soon as she felt Aemond's warm lips on hers.
A shaky sigh escaping her lips as soon as she felt the touch of his tongue against her wound. ____ felt herself melt.
Her reaction only encouraged Aemond to finally show his feelings openly. If she did hate him, she would have turned away by now.
Gently, he lifted her enough to place her on his lap. His hand sliding to her cheek to deepen the kiss. A tangible smile across his lips each time ____ let out a gasp.
____ wrapped his neck to pull him even closer. She gave a little prance as soon as Aemond's cool fingers began to fumble with the straps of her corset. She too set about untying the prince's clothes. He gasped in despair as he hurried to completely undo the bindings. When his shirt was completely unfastened he slipped it over his head.
____ traced tenderly each of the small scars that adorned the exposed skin. Aemond felt himself melt under the girl's affection and care. With a hand on her lower back, he made her lie down on the cold rock of the cave they were in.
____ rubbed her thighs in a gesture that made Aemond let out a giggle. She looked cute being so desperate for him. But Aemond wouldn't rush something he had been wanting for so long. No…he would do it as slow as he could to memorize every second of the act.
He leaned in to bring their lips together again, this time deepening the contact with gentle nibbles on the wounded lip. Savoring in between the taste of rust that the sparse blood from earlier had left behind. His hand still rested on her face, while the other rested on her lower back. Tortuously he set about sliding the corset down to reveal her skin. ____ moaned with a tiny bit of pain as Aemond squeezed one of her breasts.
The contact of their lips broke momentarily as Aemond began a trail of wet kisses that went from her neck to stop at the valley of her breasts.
Aemond was gentle with every caress. His adoration for the girl palpable with every touch. ____ squirmed under the touch of the lips that toyed with her nip.
As she writhed under the prince's nibbles, he began to slide his hand down, feeling the wetness beginning to form on the princess's clothing. Gently, he moved the fabric out of the way, brushing his fingers over her skin.
—A-Aemond….—
The noticeable desperation in ____'s voice, made Aemond smile. Carefully he began to slide his fingers, his gaze fixed on the princess's expressions as to whether or not he should stop. ____ clung even tighter to his back, trying to find the support her legs could no longer provide. She hid her face between the valley of the prince' neck, trying to contain her gasps. Aemond planted a little kiss on her neck.
—No one would hear us, princess….
—Mjum— a mumbled hum was the only thing the girl managed to formulate as soon as Aemond's fingers went deeper.
His fingers, which at first were gentle and considerate, began to move with more fervor. ____ muffled her gasps against the prince' neck, while he planted little kisses on her shoulder to soothe her.
It didn't take long for ____ to reach her climax and get all dizzy by the overwhelming sensations her body was experiencing. Aemond laughed softly as he stroked her back affectionately.
The woman, still in small spasms cradled Aemond's face, fixating on the violet eye that watched her so adoringly. Instinctively, the prince' face leaned down seeking more of the soft contact.
Her free hand slid behind the prince, seeking the binding of the cloth covering the eye that had so long ago been pierced by Luke's dagger.
As soon as Aemond sensed her intentions, he stopped her by grabbing her suddenly by the wrist.
____ flinched with a little fear of messing things up, but if she was going to do this she wanted to do it well. Seeing him as he was. Scars and all.
Lovingly and a little hesitantly, she reached over to leave a little kiss on his eyelid. Then on his cheek and finally on his lips.
Aemond felt himself melt under the gesture, making him surrender to the girl's silent insistence to remove the cloth that hid what had once been his eye. Though still reluctant, he loosened his grip on ____'s wrist, puckering slightly as soon as he was fully exposed before her. He avoided her gaze, expecting to meet the same pity with which his mother the Queen would give him.
But when ____'s touch brought him to see her face to face, he found anything but pity.
—I'm so sorry about this my prince…I should have been there…—she said with affection and a hint of guilt.
He smiled softly. ____ was as warm and gentle as ever.
How had he spent so much time refraining from expressing his feelings for such a lovely person?
—It doesn't matter anymore… I have you now…—
The girl filled the scarred area with kisses and caresses, and Aemond couldn't lose his mind much more. Between caresses and kisses full of desire and repressed affection, both spent the rest of the afternoon exploring each part from their bodies. With prolonged silences in which words were superfluous. The friction and touch of the other expressed more than anything else.
Aemond loved her madly, and now he understood that it was reciprocated.
What happened between them since that afternoon only fueled his passion and affection for the princess; who little by little began to repair his soul which was once broken.

always there for you
matt.sturniolo x fem.reader
summary: They’re not easy days for you, especially when you’re in your dark ones. But luckily you have someone by your side who can make you smile
cw: fluff, mentions of depression, anxiety and hint of cheating
author note: hi all! this is my first story here so pls be kind! I really hope that you’ll like it
----------------------
English is not my first language, if you see grammar and typing mistakes, I apologize in advance! I just ask you not to be rude to me ♡
---------------------
revised
"You've gone through the worst time you've ever had."
You’ve always dealt with situations differently than others, and when you’ve been diagnosed with depression, you’ve had confirmation.
It wasn't easy, but thanks to the support of your parents, you slowly got out. You started to live better even when you moved a couple of hours from home to university, only for the first year.
You had everything you could want: good grades, a group of dependable friends, and a boyfriend. But fate dealt you a cruel blow when you caught him in bed with the one friend you trusted.
The city of New York can often leave one feeling trapped and in need of escape. After much contemplation, you decide to embark on a journey of self-discovery, leaving behind a part of yourself in the city that has been your home. With your bags packed and heart filled with anticipation, you prepare to step out into the unknown and embrace new adventures in Los Angeles.
You had managed to find a small apartment and a job at a bar, but despite that, you still had an uneasy feeling at the end of each day. This feeling kept you uncomfortable and you couldn't sleep all night. On top of that you had a lot of work to do, which only added to your anxiety about managing everything.
As you were getting ready to start your shift at the bar, you suddenly saw a man walking towards you with three large glasses in his hand. You tried to move out of the way, but unfortunately, he ended up spilling the drinks all over you. The man, later introduced as Matthew, or Matt for short, was clearly apologetic and offered to help clean you up.
After a few minutes of awkward laughter and wiping the drink off your clothes, Matt suggested that he take you out that same evening to make up for his mistake. Despite the unexpected situation, you agreed to his offer and exchanged phone numbers with him. You couldn't help but feel intrigued by this fallen angel from heaven.
As you spent more and more time together, you found yourself becoming increasingly drawn to him. At first, it was just a casual friendship, but as you got to know him better, you began to see him in a different light. You found yourself admiring his sense of humor, his intelligence, and his kindness.
And as the days went by, you realized that you had developed genuine feelings for him. And it seemed that he felt the same way. The two of you spent more time together, going on long walks, sharing meals, and talking late into the night. It was as if you had found your perfect match, and you couldn't imagine spending your days without him.
As things seemed to be settling down, your depression episodes grew more intense, keeping you in bed for days.
Your employer had prior knowledge of the situation, but they were understanding enough to grant you a few days of leave without any consequences or negative impact on your job. They recognized the importance of your well-being and the need for you to take time off to deal with the matter at hand, and therefore, they supported your decision to take a break from work. This allowed you to address the issue with a clear mind and return to work feeling refreshed and focused.
Matt was aware of the different medications you had to take in order to alleviate the disturbing thoughts and he was always there for you, supporting you no matter what. However, one thing that bothered you was that no one could see you in that condition, and the fear that one day he might become exhausted made you sink even deeper into the pillow.
For four consecutive days, you found yourself unable to get out of bed. You only left your bed to relieve yourself in the bathroom or to drink water which you had kept on the bedside table. Matt, who was concerned about you, tried to visit you by using the duplicate keys. However, you were not comfortable with the idea of him seeing you in such a vulnerable state, and you refused to let him in.
Despite your love for Matt, you couldn't help but feel guilty and ashamed of the state you were in. You couldn't understand how he could love someone like you who was unable to get out of bed for days. You tried to search for answers, but your mind was foggy, and you couldn't come up with any.
It seems that Matt's accidental spillage of glasses on you may have actually been a blessing in disguise. According to him, having you in his life is one of the best things that has ever happened to him. Your presence and the joy you bring him make him feel incredibly fortunate. Your smile, the touch of your hands, and the way you gaze at him with love and affection leave him spellbound every time.
In fact, if anyone were to ask him if he had any grievances or dislikes about you, he would be at a loss for words because he adores every single part of you, inside and out.
At this very moment, he is putting effort to find something for you, despite knowing that it might not be an ideal time. He wishes for you to comprehend that your appearance does not matter to him. Whether you have been wearing the same pair of pajamas for days, or your hair is messy and you have no make-up on, his only desire is to support you during these difficult times and be there for you every single second.
As you hear the sound of the keys fitting into the lock of the door, you quickly turn your head in the opposite direction. You notice the alarm clock on the bedside table and see that it marks 9:28 in the morning. You realize that you must have passed out last night without even realizing it, and now you are waking up to a brand new day.
In the meantime, Matt straightens up the house and knocks on your door. To his delight, it opens to reveal you lying under a white duvet. He slowly approaches. "Hey, babe, you're awake" he says. You turn around without meeting his gaze, but you can pull yourself up, noticing your favorite red roses on the bed.
You gaze into your partner's eyes, who says "Babe, look at me" Your voice is hoarse from not having spoken in days, but with longing shine in your eyes you say "I missed you"
Matt sits down on the bed beside you and pulls you into a tight embrace. You feel his strong arms wrap around you, and you lean into his chest, feeling safe and loved.
As he holds you, he whispers softly, "I missed you a lot too" Matt tilts his head down and kisses the top of your head, making you feel even more loved and cherished. The warmth of his embrace and the softness of his lips on your head make you feel like all is right in the world again. You take a deep breath and smile, grateful to be reunited with the one you love.
As you hold onto him, you can feel the weight of your emotions bearing down on your shoulders. You know you pushed him away, but you couldn't help it. Looking up into his eyes, you try to explain. "I'm sorry I pushed you away, but you know how I get when I'm in this state" you say softly, hoping he'll understand.
He stops and looks straight into your eyes, his gaze unwavering. "You don't have to worry" he says, reassuringly. "You need your time, and I respect that. You don't have to face this alone. Just know that I'm always here for you. Don't forget it" he adds, his voice gentle and comforting.
You nod, feeling a sense of relief wash over you. The weight on your shoulders slowly begins to lift. He leans in and kisses you tenderly, and you feel the warmth of his love surround you. "I love you" he whispers. "Love you too" you reply, feeling grateful for his understanding and support.
That's what you missed, him. Matt is the person you have been longing for and he has the ability to make you feel good.

My Personal Stylist
just a bit self indulgent, had this idea randomly and thought why not!
tw: none, soft Johnny, gn but fem terms used, semi hints of PTSD
You've had a tough couple of days, wrestling with severe sleep deprivation. The more you tried to sleep, the harder it became to find any peace. Nightmares were relentless, haunting you with terrifying memories every time you close your eyes. You'd wake up drenched in sweat, tears staining your cheeks, and your heart racing.
You found yourself in the midst of the bustling training ground, monks going about their daily drills, while initiates prepared for the upcoming tournament. The sounds around you, the clattering of fists against wooden boards, the grunts and huffs of exertion, served as an oddly soothing backdrop. They kept you grounded in the present, a lifeline when your thoughts threatened to spiral into darkness.
Sitting there with your eyes closed, you felt the gentle caress of the breeze on your skin. Petals from the blossom tree above floated down, landing softly on your hair. But underneath this tranquility, a lurking unease remained. You half-expected those nightmarish images to come to life, as if the horrors from your dreams might seize you for an untimely, gruesome fate. You knew they were just figments of your imagination, your mind's way of dealing with the trauma that predated your time at Liu Kang's Wu Shi Academy.
Lost in your thoughts, you were caught off guard by approaching footsteps. "Hey, hot stuff," a voice rang out suddenly. Startled, you opened your eyes to find Johnny Cage standing there, his signature smirk in place. He leaned in, hand on his hip, with that playful tone he often used as an appetizer for his requests. "What's a beautiful girl like yourself doing here all alone?" he quipped.
You couldn't help but roll your eyes in response, well aware of Johnny's habit of charming you up before he got to the point. "What do you want this time, Johnny?" you asked, returning to your closed-eye state.
Johnny's demeanor took a slight turn, his voice softening. "Oh, nothing in particular," he said, plopping down beside you. "I'm just checking on how you're feeling." The concern beneath his flashy exterior was evident.
You remained silent, torn between sharing your hidden anxieties or keeping them to yourself. Johnny's keen eyes continued to assess you, and he let out a soft sigh. "What's bothering you?" he asked, the concern apparent in his voice.
You hesitated for a moment. Sharing your painful memories was something you hadn't done in a while, but Johnny's persistence was unwavering. "It's hard, Johnny," you admitted, opening your eyes.
Johnny's smirk vanished, replaced by genuine worry. "Did someone say something to you?" he asked, leaning in closer. "I'll give them the Cage treatment."
You interrupted him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "No, Johnny, it's something else," you said, your gaze fixed on the ground. Taking a deep breath, you began to share your life story in detail, and Johnny listened intently, his face reflecting the pain he felt for you. When you finished, he whispered, "Jesus."
You felt a sense of relief, having finally shared your burden, but the weight of your past experiences still clung to you. "I feel stuck," you confessed, averting your gaze to a nearby garden. You hid your face from Johnny, not wanting to show the tears threatening to spill. "Every night, I relive those memories over and over. I end up out here, training to distract myself until the sun rises."
Johnny looked at you, gently holding your chin in his hands and turning your gaze to meet his. "Hey, I'm here for you, sweetheart," he reassured you. "If you need me at any hour, come find me." He added, "Don't make me come in there and kick ass," gesturing towards your head.
A small giggle escaped you at his statement, a moment of lightness amid the heavy conversation. After a brief pause, you looked at Johnny, studying his face. "Has your makeup artist ever put freckles on you?" you blurted out, sudden curiosity taking hold.
Johnny raised an eyebrow, slightly amused by the unexpected question. "Hm?" he quirked his head, "No, but I'm sure I could pull them off," he said, dramatically sweeping a hand through his hair and flashing his dazzling smile before winking at you.
You laughed at his response. "Care to test that theory?" you asked. You knew you had some spare makeup in your room, and at that moment, anything was welcome to distract you from your lingering anxieties. Johnny looked a bit surprised but quickly regained his signature smirk. "What, you want to prove how hot they would look on me?" he teased.
With a smile, you replied, "Wait here," and then walked off to your room. Johnny watched you go, a small, endearing smile gracing his lips.
Returning with a small bag in hand, you rummaged through it, searching for a brown eyebrow pencil. As you plopped down beside Johnny, you announced, "This should do it," and twisted the bottom of the pencil to reveal its tip. "Hold still for me, would you?" you requested, gently grasping Johnny's chin to keep him in place.
"Not a problem, princess," Johnny replied with a wink. You rolled your eyes playfully as you got to work, creating light brown spots that resembled freckles in their respective areas. Johnny's face became a canvas for these small sun spots.
You were completely absorbed in your task, so you didn't notice Johnny's admiring gaze or the soft smile on his face. "You are cute when you do that," he suddenly remarked. You paused your movement, slightly caught off guard. "Do what?" you asked, feeling a bit self-conscious.
Johnny's voice remained soft and admiring as he responded, "You stick your tongue out when you're focusing." A small blush crept across your features, and you became acutely aware of your proximity to the superstar, a flutter of nervous excitement in your stomach.
Finishing the last freckle, you pulled back and squinted your eyes, admiring your handiwork. "Done," you declared, placing the pencil back in the bag and retrieving a small handheld mirror. "Here, what do you think?" you asked, handing the mirror to Johnny.
He took the mirror and began to inspect himself, striking poses as if he were in front of a group of eager paparazzi. "Hey there, good-lookin'," he quipped, winking at his reflection. A giggle escaped you at Johnny's playful antics. "You do look good with freckles," you said, smiling warmly at him. As he lowered the mirror, a look of surprise flashed across his face. You couldn't help but be taken aback by the slight blush that dusted his cheeks. He quickly regained his trademark smirk, clearly pleased by the compliment. "What did I say, kitty? I knew I would look good," he quipped, flashing a confident smile as he looked at you.
Shaking your head with a smile, you met his gaze. "I guess you were right," you admitted. It was hard not to be charmed by Johnny's confidence and charisma. His smile is contagious, you all but forgot about your horrific past, a smile glued to your face in his presence.
Night had descended, and once again, you found yourself tossing and turning in your bed. Your clothes clung to your sweaty skin as horrifying images flashed through your mind. With a gasp, you jolted upright, silent sobs wracking your body, and your cheeks were wet with tears. The fear was overwhelming, and you contemplated seeking out Johnny for comfort, tempted to accept his offer and let yourself be vulnerable.
With a determined huff, you pulled yourself out of bed, the chill of the night air a stark contrast to your perspiring figure, sending shivers down your spine. Silent tears coursed down your cheeks as you desperately made your way to Johnny's room. His loud snoring resonated from down the hall, urging you to quicken your pace.
You were paranoid, your eyes darting around as you briskly walked through the dark hallway toward Johnny's door. You wanted to knock, to respect his space, but your fear urged you to instead pull his door open. You swiftly but quietly shut it behind you and approached his bed. There he lay, peacefully asleep, snoring without a care in the world.
You sat down and watched for a moment, your tears falling more freely now at the thought of disturbing his slumber for your own fears. It felt selfish to wake him up for comfort. But you shook your worries away and gently placed a hand on his shoulder, giving it a light shake. "Johnny?" you whispered, hoping he wasn't a heavy sleeper.
He groaned and shifted slightly in his sleep but didn't wake up. In your second attempt, you shook him a little harder. "Johnny, please," you whispered again, your desperation growing as your fear loomed once more. His snoring ceased, and his eyes opened slowly, groggily. "Hmm?" he mumbled, looking at you with a puzzled and drowsy expression, squinting as his vision adjusted to the moonlight that illuminated your tear-stained face.
"Y/n?" he said sleepily, but as his vision cleared and he saw the glistening tracks of tears on your cheeks, he suddenly became fully awake. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, sitting up quickly and placing a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
You didn't utter a word; instead, you began to sob. Johnny wasted no time, pulling you to sit on the bed beside him and wrapping an arm around you. He gently caressed your hair, resting his head against yours as your tears flowed more freely. "S-sorry," you choked out between sobs.
Johnny swiftly grabbed your shoulders, forcing you to look at him. "Hey, don't you apologize for a damn thing," he said with a stern look. "What did I say? At any hour, I'm here for you." He then shifted in the bed, making room for you. "Come here, sweetheart," he said, his arms open.
Without hesitation, you crawled into the bed beside him and buried your face into his chest as he gently enveloped you in his embrace. He continued to caress your hair and whispered calming words, offering a safe space for you to let it all out. An hour passed, and you felt yourself relax in his embrace, gradually drifting into slumber.
Johnny smiled down at you, a warm feeling in his chest. This nightly routine became your solace, your nightmares tamed by his comforting presence.

Raindrop (Neuvillette x reader)
Neuvillette x gn!reader; Angst, pure angst in a somewhat established relationship, reader’s implied death.
The story is set when the reader’s time is running out (of whatever cause you can imagine), and Neuvillette is sad. The reader is implied to be Fontainian.
Words: 1k
Notes: Finally, a genshin fic other than Wriothesley! I literally wrote this when I was listening to Pluie sur la ville (definitely recommended on listening the ost while reading this one!!!!! I recommend this music box version for this fic tho, it fits so well) and imagined Neuvillette brooding over something. That’s why this fic is short, cos I basically just wanted a story of Neuvillette basically feeling angsty heheheh
Anyways, I hope you enjoy! :D
•~•~•~•
Swish. Swish.
With each pull of the oar, the water responded in kind flow, sending out delicate ripples that painted the pond's surface. Pink flower petals twirled to the movement of the waves, a graceful accompaniment to the wooden paddle's gentle strokes.
The boat drifted leisurely through the clear water, its movement smooth and serene, like a dream on liquid glass. The rustling of the wind added its voice to the nature, tousling your hair as you reached to fix it.
The man seated across from you returned your gaze with a warm, genuine smile. His eyes seemed to hold a depth that mirrored the tranquil pond, and his smile filled the space between you. In this secluded forest of Erinnyes, it felt as though the entire world had faded away, leaving just the two of you to share the moment.
As the boat reached the center of the pond, he gently set down the oar. You took the moment to reach for his hand, intertwining your fingers with his.
But your eyes wandered to the water rippling near the pond's edge, fed by a nearby creek. The question escaped your lips as you voiced your curiosity, as you held his hands in yours.
"Do you think that… water possesses the will to flow freely?"
Neuvillette met your gaze, his expression thoughtful as he pondered your unexpected question. After a moment, he spoke, his voice carrying a hint of contemplation.
“I would like to believe that they do, why?”
His answer brought a bittersweet smile to your lips as you kept your gaze to the creek. You brought his hand to your cheek, savoring the warmth of his touch. For just a moment, you allowed yourself to close your eyes, as if to capture this fleeting moment, knowing it might be the last time you two would have such a peaceful interlude together.
“I just want to know…,” you paused, the words catching in your throat before you continued, “so when the time comes, I can… find you.”
As you opened your eyes, you found Neuvillette still, his expression hiding a mix of fear and sadness beneath his composed facade. You already knew him well enough to see the emotions hidden behind his eyes.
Neuvillette sighed heavily, lowering his head and letting his hand fall to his side. His gaze shifted to the side, facing the waters of the pond. He knew full well what the future held, as much as he dreaded it, it was inevitable.
“One day, Neuvillette, once I become the water itself, I’d be happy to visit you anytime,” you said softly.
The cloudy skies overhead seemed to mirror the heaviness in your heart. As much as you dreaded broaching this topic, especially at this tranquil moment, you felt the pressing weight of your impending fate. The time left for the both of you to enjoy each other’s company had grown short, each passing moment a reminder like of the ticking clock.
“Promise me, love, that you would move on. Just as water finds its way, no matter how many obstacles it faces, no matter how lost it may seem,” you whispered, your voice sweet and tender, as if to ease his pain, just as your own.
Neuvillette’s heart clenched at your words, the reality of your mortality weighing heavily on his shoulders. As the hydro dragon sovereign, he knew all too well that your time with him was fleeting, a mere fraction of his own eternity.
“I haven’t got to say this before, but,” you paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. “I really do cherish the time with you. The years we've spent together have been everything to me,” you mustered the strength to speak, pouring your heart out, as your voice began to tremble.
Pitter. Patter.
The sound of raindrops began to fill the air, as light rain fell upon the surface of the pond. Neuvillette remained still, his head turned away, keeping the emotions stirring within him as his brows furrowed.
But you already knew him well enough to understand what he was feeling, what the rain meant. You immediately leaned forward, cupping his face in your hands as you gently caressed his cheeks. “Oh, my Hydro Dragon, please don’t weep…”
Neuvillette met your gaze, pain evident in his eyes. He understood your attempt to comfort him, to ease his sorrow, as the warmth of your hand seeped into him.
But why could he see tears rolling down your cheeks?
•~•~•~•
Swish. Swish.
Neuvillette stood at the water's edge, his gaze fixed on the waves, ebbing and flowing gently. The rhythm of their motion seemed to echo the gentle beating of his own heart. The sky above was serene, a canvas of quietude painted by the sound of the crashing waves.
Despite his busy days, there were moments like these when Neuvillette couldn't help but feel swept away by a wave of nostalgia. It was as if the water itself was reaching out to him, whispering memories of days gone by.
As if you had come to visit him every now and then.
He closed his eyes for a moment, allowing himself to fully embrace the tranquility of the scene before him. The rhythmic swish of the waves, the soft caress of the sea breeze on his skin – it all felt like a familiar embrace. Exhaling slowly, Neuvillette savored this fleeting sense of peace, letting go of the weight of his responsibilities for just a moment longer…
However, the role of Iudex remained. With a reluctant sigh, he opened his eyes and gazed out to the horizon. It was time to step back from the shore, to leave behind this moment of solace and return to the duties that awaited him.
A man of few words – Neuvillette carried the memory of you deep within his heart, a cherished treasure that he held onto tightly. As he made his way back, the gentle lull of the waves behind him seemed to bid him farewell. No matter how busy his days became, your presence would always linger in the depths of his soul.

Pairing: Yeosang x reader Word Count: 925 Genre: fluff, attempted humor, friends to lovers Warning(s): swearing Synopsis: Friendships came and went as time wore on but you were always someone constant for him. Someone who unwaveringly stood beside him. Someone he grew to depend on and care for deeply.
Feisty
A gentle breeze swept through the trees as it continued to pour down on the tent. All three of you had huddled inside and watched the cold rain touch everything in sight. It was freezing and there wasn’t anything to do other than to just watch the day go by. Yesterday, San had said he wanted to take you guys to see the stream he had found on his walk today but it seemed the weather had other plans for you guys today.
The temperature continued to drop, the colder it got, the more you needed heavier weighted blankets. “Hot chocolate would be really good right now.” You had turned around on your back looking back and forth between the two boys, hoping one of them would get the hint and make you some.
San was completely confused, “How do you expect to have hot chocolate when we can’t even keep a fire going right now?”
You pouted in response, “I was hoping one of you would figure something out.”
Yeossang laughed a little at your pouting before he threw a blanket over your back, rubbing it gently, trying his best to warm you up. “I’ll make you some when the rain lets up. But until then, you’re going to have to make the blankets work.” San furrowed his brows, this was a little odd of him to do. He’d never done that for San, nor did San really expect him to. It was just weird that he was doing that for you. Never had he known Yeosang to do something like that. Something was different. He’d kept a mental note to ask about it later. Right now, was not the time to ask.
You sighed, “Should we play cards or something?”
“Did you bring any?” San was thoroughly convinced you didn’t have any considering the recent silly question you asked.
“Yes, smart ass. I brought a deck.” You sat up and began ruffling through your backpack. You pulled them out, “See? I brought them! Don't doubt me.”
San rolled his eyes, “I have to. Sometimes you lack common sense.” You glared at him. He was being catty just because of his own situation and he had been for the past two or three days. It was starting to get on your last nerve. It wasn't your fault he chose a crappy person, why were you getting the brunt of the attitude?
Yeosang cleared his throat, trying to get your attention. “Okay, instead of trying to kill each other, let's just play a friendly couple rounds of cards.”
After a few rounds of San losing and getting his ass handed to him, the rain had finally stopped, the fire crackled as the two of them sat by the fire with you asleep, bundled up warmly. San watched as Yeosang played with the burnt pieces of firewood with a stick he'd found. The night was peaceful, a good end to such a long and dreary day. Crickets chirped announcing their presence, wolves howling somewhere far off. Owls hooting away, peaceful.
San's intuition was nagging at him. It had been since the whole back rubbing incident today. San had been watching Yeosang the whole day. How he responded to you, how he looked out for you, how he took care of you. It was starting to become clear to him that there was definitely something more between the two of you. The little flirtatious comments towards one another was a little more than what his bond with Yeosang allowed. They seemed less like a bromance and more like a genuine attraction toward one another.
San had been debating bringing it up for the past 20 minutes, it was starting to get on his nerves just thinking about it. He wasn’t sure if the two of you had always been just a flirty duo or if he was just imagining things because of his recent issues. He figured since you were asleep and it was just the two of them out here, he might as well ask. What was the worst that could happen? “Do you like [name]?” He flat out asked, no skirting around the issue, no sugar coating it, nothing. Just flat out asked.
Yeosang was taken aback by the sudden question. If his face wasn’t already red, it would have been now. He didn’t say anything for a few seconds but continued to play with the charred wood in the fireplace. “No! What makes you say that?” He half shouted before he realized he was being too loud.
San quirked his brow, Yeosang was being defensive about something so silly, “So you do?” He readjusted himself and watched how Yeosang was squirming around with the question.
“No. Couldn't be farther from the truth.” Yeosang was getting oddly defensive but San wasn't going to keep pushing it. He knew that it would just make the other extremely irritated. It was bad enough they were all out here for his mental healing. “Are you feeling any better after lashing out all day?”
The younger man was slightly annoyed with the question. It wasn't like he was lashing out intentionally, it just happened given his whole situation he's in right now, “Honestly or do you want the sugar coated answer?”
“Sugar coated.”
“Fantastic!”
Yeosang chuckled a little, “You'll be okay. It sucks right now, but you'll be okay.” Patting his friend's back as he continued to play with the torched embers. San was confused, Yeosang was never this touchy. Maybe he was trying to cover something up.

Informant Really Does Care (About Family)
I got brain worms the other night so (arms stretched wide) hi everyone thanks for tuning in to yet another analysis of this guy
this one's a combination of a continuation to my older 'he cares about the townspeople' analysis and also a third parter to my analysis about his family
spoilers under the cut as always ^_^
Initially i had thought that Informant didn't truly like his family, with how dismissive he was when he first revealed himself to felix in the forest-- his words being 'i had to leave my friends, home, and family' with family being the last in the list (mild hinting at how he wasnt really a fan of them from the start)
or how when informant and felix first reunited, they had almost gotten into 2 arguments, first one due to felix almost resigning as the mayor and informant trying to convince him not to do so, which led to informant revealing that felix has never really listened to him when they were children and was always making decisions for him
the second argument being how felix wants informant to come back and throw away his life of being the informant and just live as his brother which leads to informant cutting himself off from the family
but in the scene where he decides to cut himself off from his family, he says this
but the thing is that even with how detached he acts towards felix, he genuinely does care still
like.. informant was going to sacrifice himself by becoming the wolf forever for the sake of felix, to put his worries at ease, and just before he was going to do it, he asked me to give him a locket which contained a picture of him and felix when they were young and he says this
'it reminded me of what truly matters'
or when he had to submit to the witch to figure out why he was acting so recklessly, (the thought parasite arc) the thing that calmed him down was a childhood memory and he has also kept keepsakes from their childhood. I Am Crazy
I feel like this strained behavior that he has around his family is connected to an inferiority complex he has, similarly to how he doesn't talk about himself much, he also tends to brush his own issues aside
note how he says it has a passing remark, lets it linger for a bit and then just moves on as if it isn't a big deal
"i still bring my loved ones so much trouble" and "i thought felix would be better off with me"
i think this was a product of the thing that felix had said to him just before informant disappeared
"I have no time. There's a pile of papers i have to deal with" and while felix did admit that the paperwork was more important to him than informant at the time, his disappearance was a burden on his shoulders <- his words
and reminder, informant was already a pretty solitary person (and frankly, quite lonely) before he became the werewolf, a person who had always kept to himself
i imagine felix saying this was also a blow to his self esteem. He never felt he fit in with the people around him, and now his own family is turning him away? it must be hard to have to warm up to family again after being apart for so long
he misses him, but he acts detached, arguing as if they were young and then cutting himself off from the family... Informant feels too kind for his own good if i could be honest, kind and independent to a fault.
i was absolutely fooled by him.. he truly does care...
ALSO i don't know if i mentioned this in the previous family analysis stuff but one thing i love about felix and informant is how they perceive each other's actions differently
Felix is protective of informant because he's his little brother, and by quite a large age gap too so its natural for him to feel like an instinct to worry and want the best for him but but informant perceives that as felix being controlling
and WHILE YES, THAT BEHAVIOUR ESSENTIALLY MAKES FELIX NOT QUITE CARE ABOUT HOW INFORMANT FEELS ABOUT THE DECISION MAKING, FELIX'S INTENTIONS ARE OVERALL GOOD BUT INFORMANT TAKES THAT AS NEGATIVE
and Informant wanting to take back that control of his life.. felix perceives that as informant rebelling and "not him" because informant had been obedient to him for so long and now that informant's doing his own thing felix feels apprehensive to it
blood is thicker than water but neither water or blood can account for separation from it's source. they've existed outside their roles as siblings for so long with different experiences that they're just different people at this point
#that one tumblr post that was like 'you fell for the character's guise the way they wanted to be percieved!'#he's really such an intricate character -- he's so painfully human and complex ough#his exterior of disliking family but secretly holding so much care it makes me sick#i do want to make a post about his sense of self... like.. theres so many factors to it... but its all inherently hinged on his work#im so sick about him i want to kiss him senseless#seekers notes#the informant#Informant Under A Microscope#seekers notes spoilers

chuuya ⬇️
dazai ♣️
atsushi 📒
akutagawa 💎
⬇️ What element would they bend? (Chuuya)
Oh that's a really interesting thing to think about for Chuuya especially. Canonically, he has gravity manipulation, which would lend itself to airbending (Aang's "haha, gravity" line comes to mind), but Chuuya's actual fighting techniques are completely misaligned with airbending forms, which are often light, indirect, and, well, airy. Instead, Chuuya has a very aggressive combat style that doesn't suit air or water, but could translate well for either earth or fire. In the end, I'd say earthbender Chuuya - I can envision him having tremendous levels of both power and control, and his capacity to use his surroundings as intuitively as he does in canon would be quite formidable in an earthbender. He'd also be a fair bit quicker on his feet than your average earthbender - perhaps he's learned techniques inspired by the sharper and more offense-based firebending forms. Maybe he has some lavabending capabilities too!
♣️ What's an item on their bucket list? (Dazai)
Oh... hm... this is a tricky one. See, I have very different answers depending on what age Dazai is. Is this PM Dazai or ADA Dazai? For PM, I think we actually know what was on his bucket list, and it's kind of paradoxical. What does teenage Dazai want to do before he dies? He'd probably say nothing, because he actually did want to die, or at least, didn't see the point in living. But he didn't die, because he was searching for something - a reason to live, a meaning to life. There wouldn't be anything specific, because he himself didn't know what that thing would be - so what he clung onto was the idea of finding this nebulous "reason" to keep living on, which is what actually kept him alive, though not really living.
As for ADA Dazai, I do not believe he genuinely wants to die anymore, because he's taken Oda's words to heart and is focusing more on what he does; acting and creating instead of spending his life searching. However, if asked, he would not give any kind of straight answer and would probably go on and on about finding the perfect woman to commit a double suicide with, because we know what he's like.
If you want my truly honest opinion, I still think Dazai has no long term plans for himself - when you've been suicidal for a long time or at a young age (and Dazai was, and possibly still is, both), it becomes incredibly difficult to envision a future, or even to want things you imagine you should probably want, or other people seem to want. Instead, I think Dazai's true bucket list would be very simple things that he already does in his day to day life and he would only realize he had one once his days are truly limited, like "the chance to have one last conversation with Odasaku and Ango at Bar Lupin" when he was younger, or "leave a little surprise for Kunikida just to keep him on his toes", or "switch out Chuuya's wine one last time", or even just "have a conversation with Atsushi". I think his true bucket list would really just be making sure that he has plans in place for the people he knows and has grown attached to - to make sure they keep moving forward, keep living, while also getting to spend just a few more moments with them.
📒What topic of study would they be interested in? (Atsushi)
I kind of hinted at this in my previous ask about Lucy, but I can see them both ending up in some kind of writing program, though while Lucy would go towards more of the creative side of things, I can actually see Atsushi doing more literary criticism or essay-type writings. Drawing from the real life Nakajima-sensei, I can also see him being a teacher. Atsushi is beyond grateful for the chance he has to learn and grow as a mentee, and I think he's the kind of person to want to pay that forward by teaching others - he'd be a good teacher, encouraging and kind, but rebuking any self-doubt he sees, since he knows what it's like to get mired in that. I also think Atsushi would end up being very good with kids, so I like to think he could study education and teach kids about literature.
💎Assign a gem with symbolism. (Akutagawa)
It's got to be black obsidian! Obsidian is not really a gem, but a beautiful jet black volcanic mineral glass formed from rapidly cooling lava. It's called a protector stone, acting as a shield to absorb and deflect negative energy. Obsidian is a brittle type of rock - when it fractures, it's all sharp edges, and has been used to create cutting tools and blades. It's associated with practicality, transformation and fulfillment. I feel it's very on brand for Akutagawa.
Original ask game here!
