Felt I was stressing myself doing art lately so I wanted to shift gears for a sec to something that’s gonna be more enjoyable for me to do.

It’s been a myriad of ideas I wanted to do. First I wanted to make a male witch oc cuz I don’t really have a good one and the one I do have is a mess and prolly wouldn’t want to go back on unless I revise him. Plus he has a sparrow familiar c:

2nd idea. I have a couple of pumpkin figures (two were gifts, another I bought and one I made up) that I thought would be cute to just draw. The doll was made from a oc challenge vid but I think might make her a possessed doll. And then I was thinking what if I combined the ideas together, like this lil witch lad collects or makes figures/toys and one day through a magical accident makes them come alive and now he’s just kinda the caretaker of these lil guys.

3rd thing Over the Garden Wall is a veeery heavy inspiration for this with the simplistic cartoony style and all the cozy autumnal but also somewhat vintagey vibes. With also some inspo from the Garlic and the Witch graphic novels too c: And could honestly make for a otgw oc but who’s to say.

Soooo in 2022 I was doing all these colour palette drawings with my OCs and I didn't draw them as much last year and I miss them so much so I decided to pick up the colour palette drawings again this year cause they're simple but really fun :D

Anyway here's my boy he means more to me than you could ever know.

NEARLY FORGOT I used the palette Unholy Flame (very fitting for this guy >:3) from @color-palettes! Gonna be using a lot more of them in the future, they're really good ✨

I went to draw surfer Lance as a warm up in my sketch book, as one does when obsessed with Voltron again, and I was struggling with the hairstyle. So I looked up some random references for surfers and a lot of them have that Sokka ponytail/bun look????? So I was like okay sure and- and Lance quite literally is space Sokka. Like, he looked like another Sokka drawing. I’ll post if wanted but I had to set the pencil down for a moment. If it weren’t for the Altean markings I would not think it was a Lance sketch at first glance.

EDIT: I have rendered it on digital and now he does not look like Sokka. I’m okay now.

EDIT 2: I have finished a full render and will post if someone asks.
