I made the decision to watch all of the Case Files of Jeweler Richard in a day and I am ABSOLUTELY LOSING MY FUCKING MIND

(Technically I’ve watched up to episode 11 so I have 1 more episode left but am leaving it until tomorrow because it’s 1 AM right now- but I digress)

Spoilers for up to episode 10 of the anime, and apologies because I don’t know how to do read more on mobile so LONG POST:

Okay so FIRST OFF- On the cover this show isn’t explicit in that it has LGBTQ themes- it’s not labeled as such or with BL or Shounen Ai, the usual genre titles we see in anime. However, when I first tried to watch it a few months ago, within the opening minute I just knew (I just forgot to continue after that first minute until today). A lot of times with anime you can just tell things based on the art style or the dialogue, and if it doesn’t end up having those themes, then you get a situation like Balance: Unlimited where all of Twitter was tweeting “wait, it isn’t a BL???”

That being said, this series DOES have LGBTQ themes, one of the early side characters talks about how she doesn’t want to go through with her marriage because she realized she’s a lesbian or bisexual and is still in love with her old roommate. Another character expresses thoughts about romance and marriage in ways that I’m sure people who are asexual or a romantic can identify with. And this isn’t just with the side characters, oh no. The entire show is centered around the relationship of Richard and Seigi, and oh my god is it wild in how it is presented.

If you go on the wiki for this show, as my sister and I did, you’ll see a sentence along the lines of “Richard and Seigi frequently compliment each other’s beauty and say how much they like one another, to the point that everyone around them believes them to be in a relationship. However it’s unclear if their words are romantic or not.” And then if you go to their relationship page on the wiki, it just says Seigi is Richard’s boyfriend. So what’s the truth? (TLDR: the wiki is right. They’re definitely in love.)

Well the thing that had me rolling is that Seigi says he likes rich. A lot. Specifically throws around the “daisuki” line almost every episode. He says Richard is like a jewel, calls him beautiful and pretty. Richard picks him up in the rain after being dumped. They go alone to fancy restaurants for dinner almost every night. They flirt. It feels almost undeniable that what they’re saying is romantic, and that any kiss confirmation is unnecessary. There is a major plot line during all this though of Seigi trying to ask out his female college classmate however, and the result makes it sort of feel like Richard and Seigi are together but they’re in this open relationship with no labels so Richard just wants Seigi to have no regrets. The plot with the classmate really doesn’t do anything to their relationship. Richard and Seigi still are being as wild as ever.

And the reason I refer to this as being “wild” is partially because while watching my sister and I were riffing on the dialogue a little. For an anime, the show is very progressive in it’s ideas, Richard in episode 1 or 2 straight up calling Seigi out for something he said about a foreign customer and making him promise to not discriminate or judge anyone for their race, religion, sexual orientation, appearance, etc. (My sister literally joked “DONT BE RACIST” and then her jaw dropped when Richard said just that). There’s a multitude of moments in the first half of the show where Richard basically is just glaring at Seigi or telling him off later with a deadpanned expression for being xenophobic or just blunt about things that end up being rude to customers, and it’s because of how surprising it is that the show NEVER misses a moment to be like “YEAH ACTUALLY DON’T BE RUDE” that makes it hilarious. It feels almost unreal when everything you make a joke about happens two seconds afterwards.

Circling back to Richard and Seigi relationship though, early on I called on the idea that the show was going to have the trope of “he’s rich and from Europe so he’s illegitimate or something and he’s going to have to go back and Seigi will run after him in this big airport scene” and I basically got all that. Except that Richard and Seigi don’t meet up again until they’ve both been in England for a while and then we learn that Richard’s family are terrible people because a clause in their dead great grandfather’s inheritance made it so only Richard can inherit this 300 million pound Diamond but ONLY if he married a traditional English housewife. This clause is said to be VERY VERY strict in that it HAS to be an English housewife to the LETTER. And she must be TRADITIONAL. Of course, Richard is refusing to do this. So you’re watching them mess around in England for a bit, I got another cliche/trope I wanted when Seigi fell sick and Richard had to care for him in the hotel room, before the characters suddenly get a phone call and Richard’s cousin goes:

“Hey Seigi! Guess what? Turns out you qualify for the marriage clause! Despite being Asian, the will and the law consider a homosexual civil partnership equivalent to a heterosexual marriage, so you can be with Richard and then he get’s the Diamond! So I’ll see you at the safe where the Diamond will be at!”

(I’m paraphrasing the words obviously but the part about civil partnership was what I specifically remember being said, but forgive me for any errors, as my jaw was on the floor when the show threw that curveball at me).

In case you’re confused, I’m not saying this is bad at all. I’m just saying when watching this show, it feels UNBELIEVABLY HILARIOUS the way these things literally get thrown at the audience. Stuff you would never expect in an anime just punch you in the face repeatedly and I was so shocked from this “viable marriage candidate” twist that I did SENSE was coming (but thought of it more of as a joke, BECAUSE HOW THE HECK DID HE FIT THE CLAUSE OF A TRADITIONAL ENGLISH HOUSEWIFE) I had to pause the episode and rush to spit out the water I just drank before I choked. And if this wasn’t enough to kill me, we learn later on, that the reason this whole crazy clause happened in this dead man’s will was because he wanted to get back at the rest of Richard’s family because the man’s son was marrying a woman from Sri Lanka and LITERALLY SAID “THE WHITE SUPERMACISTS” WOULD HARASS HER so all of this chaos was to give the fortune to their side of the family and piss off the racists. I just cannot believe I’m hearing and seeing all this in a Japanese anime. There was even discussion of how Japan’s traditional gender roles restrict women, and it’s just like HOW IS THIS SHOW SO PROGRESSIVE??? It literally feels like I’m watching a paradox and it’s sad because it shouldn’t but it’s hilarious and enjoyable all the same.

Once again, and sort of a TLDR, The Case Files of Jeweler Richard is an incredible show. It’s an unintentionally hilarious ride that isn’t baiting because it feels like it’s definitely presenting Richard and Seigi’s relationship as romantic coded without needing a kiss or anything. It’s strangely progressive and open minded for Japanese media, seems meta at times, and has left me stunned in ten out of twelves episodes thus far that I’m so sad I didn’t watch it week to week to see the reactions of the fans live. I highly recommend this series if you’re looking for something to just get you to laugh or just a fun story involving two male leads with great chemistry.

Spring 2021 Anime Opinions

Anyways its that time where I go rambling about my anime opinions no one cares about but here we are and I give you my thoughts and recs from what I watched so lets gO. From least fav to best.

Gokushufudou

I dont want to be biased and that bitch that criticizes an animation because god knows I have no idea how to animate but yeah no, not for me... A lot of people have recommended me the manga so I know its good just,,,, the animation made me not enjoy it as much as I would have liked.

Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui

Fuck you Ryou. Fuck you Rio. Tamaru my baby I am SO sorry they would do this to you. The only one who deserves to be here and the only reason this is not dead last. Dont watch this its uh very much illegal and Ryou is infuriating and umm I feel like this should be a given but uhhhhh dont romance minors? lol? The opening does slap tho I'll give them that.

Shadows House

I feel like a lot of people will disagree with me here (which is okay!!! its about the different tastes !!) but I just find it painfully boring at times? sksksk like I just sleep through most of the dialogue and yeah its cute but like idk... Although to be fair I am like on ep 4 or 5 so maybe it improves I just need to pull through and finish it. As of now I havent really seen the big scary element people talk about imo but its cute, maybe my mind will change at the end.

Mashiro no Oto

This may be unfair of me to judge fully because I havent continued it either but its okay, not my favorite nor the worst. It reminds me a lot to Barakamon for some reason and I wasnt a big fan of it but take it how you wish asdfgh. I feel like maybe someone with more musical affinity than me that plays an instrument may enjoy this one more but I have very basic music knowledge so alas :(

Subarashiki Kono Sekai The Animation

I put a gif of Kiryu because he is a good boy and the reason why its so high skskss. I feel like if I played the games I would like this a lot more as sometimes the pacing is a bit rushed and all over but I like the premise of the show! It definitely got me curious to check the game.

Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san

Nagatoro is that train wreck I dont know why I watch but I continue regardless and thats that. Its definetely not a show that is geared towards my likes so its not on my personal favorite list but hey if you enjoy what Nagatoro and Senpai have I aint the one to judge here.

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen OVA

I want yall to know I put Love is War OVA so down in my list with a heavy heart because I absolutely adore the love is war franchise but.... The OVA was a bit much for me. They animated probably my least favorite manga chapters in one same special episode and yeah,,,, sadly not my cup of tea.

Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou.

This is like a guilty pleasure show too because its like the telenovelas I watch but in anime format and its a soap opera but I like those so I keep watching sksksk. I havent read the source material but I really hope Sayu and Yoshida dont end together because big yikers but apart from that solid premise with mature themes.

Yuukoku no Moriarty 2nd Season

Okay so I'll admit that I have only watched the first ep of this season BUT I believe I have enough judgement of the story because I read the manga to place this here ASDFGHJ. If you read my last post I am not the biggest fan of Moriarty the Patriot but I can respect it for the work it is and I cant say its trash. Its okay, I know people like it so I mean ill watch it at some point and the Irene arc is very poggers so watch it for they.

Fumetsu no Anata e

To Your Eternity is a great show praised by many, and although I am enjoying it so far I think its okay. I think theres a few problems in the execution and pacing imo but I havent read the manga so maybe its just me feeling it. Its alright but not my favorite of this lineup.

Shakunetsu Kabaddi

I enjoy Shakunetsu Kabaddi a lot ngll, I love my sports anime, I still have no idea how the game works because i’m big dumb but the characters are cool and the story is solid. Its mostly your general sports anime but those are my guilty pleasures so take it as you see sksksk. I'm like 2 or 3 eps behind but nonetheless its a nice watch.

Bakuten!!

Bakuten is a fun show!! Its a similar feeling I have to Shakunetsu Kabaddi, the animation is super cool and I really like the character designs! I enjoyed the first eps more than the later ones which made me lose a bit of interest but nonetheless its a cute show.

Bishounen Tanteidan

See, I feel like I would enjoy Bishounen Tanteidan 10000% times more if I knew what the fuck was going on ASDFGHJK. I dont know if im just dumb by the pretty visuals or if I just dont pay enough attention but like I have no idea whats happening half the time?? Specially on the latest eps? Like I get thrown information at me and I just am too busy staring at the pretty opening and characters to get it asdfghj but yeah it has been alright!

Boku no Hero Academia 5th Season

I love seeing Shinsou muak you’re doing amazing bby boy *heart eyes*. Its a bummer because ive lost interest to bnha a bit because of the last arc of the manga and I remember really liking this arc and I still do but because I am bitter due to the manga I havent been enjoying it as much as I would normally but yeah, I like bnha and its been okay so far.

Shiguang Daili Ren

Now onto my beloveds the top 4 are all chef kiss. Shiguang Daili Ren is one I got into at the last minute but it really hooked me, the first episode was very solid and the premise is super interesting tho a bit confusing at times. The animation throws me off a little but I enjoy the characters a lot and I cant wait to see how this is going to end because I have a bad feeling about it but if you like mysteries this is a nice watch!!

Fruits Basket: The Final

Fruits Basket could tell me to do 4 flips backwards and a somersault right now and I would do it for its sake so its to no ones surprise this is high up because its just that good ASDFGHJ. But in all seriousness, Furba is an amazing story which I could go on about but just,,,,,, go watch it,,,,,, Momiji and Yuki brain goes brrrr,,,,,,, The only reason this aint 1 is because I have strong opinions about the Akito parts so we push it back a few spots as personal protest lmaoo

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun 2nd Season

What sort of crafts and sorcery do I gotta perform to convince everyone reading this to go watch and read Iruma? because like?? It started as a joke but it aint a joke anymore ASDFGHJUI. Yeah well I know 99% of people will disagree with placing this second but its my list and my recommendations and I say everyone go read Iruma because its hilarious and it actually teaches you some dope lessons and the characters are amazing and goodnight to everyone reading and watching m!ik <33 (Come on look at Asmodeus and tell me this isn't the best show created, I believe in m!ik supremacy).

Tokyo Revengers

Did I wait for Chifuyu to show up to put him as the gif here? Maybe. Y'all are sleeping on Tokyo revengers and it shows. This absolutely slaps, the manga is amazing, the anime is amazing, the plot is interesting and complicated in a good way, the characters complex, Mikey, Chifuyu, the flavor??? The op and ed also are bangers and honestly one of my favorite animes of the year, go watch it.

Currently reading: currently between reading material atm. I finished a semi long fic last night that had all the Frantic Laying of Track as you go as a serialized fic could get by the end and was kinda meh by the time it wrapped up and I have been postponing my Dark Hunter re-read so I guess next up is Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Either that or I just re-read Bone Rider (J. Fally) for the like, fifth fucking time because that book is insane and made Just For My Gay Cowboy Monster Romancer Ass. Spoiler: Listen it ends in a canonical polycule with a cowboy, a sentient piece of alien armor, and an ex russian mobster it’s a piece of goddamn art.

Currently watching: supernatural, i mean that’s not ALL i’m watching. I’m still balls deep in a m.a.s.h watch, dont trust the b in apartment 23, and a handful of anime but supernatural is like the Main show rn. I started a full series rewatch after the finale and finally hit season 15 lmaaao.

Currently craving: some goddamn pasta sauce. Listen, i’ve been out all week, i live off pasta but we’ve been snowed in for two days and while i’ve got crushed tomatoes i have no onions so i cant even make my own and i’m in hell. -has to not be “ugly” I’m sorry but I’m so fuckin picky with art of course it’s a personal preference so I don’t actually like calling them ugly but shrugs basically nothing that looks like Jojo or that one Netflix show with the people in heart masks or somethn idk (ain’t throwin shade on your shows they just aren’t my style I’m so sorry u-u)

-has to have a good English dub I know I know Subs not dubs whatever bla bla bla look i can’t read my brain doesn’t work like that give me something with good English voice actors and that hopefully doesn’t stray too far away from the original context

-it cant be overwhelming slow to get into first episodes always tend to be slow but if you have to tell me to wait a few episodes before it gets good then I’m so sorry but I can’t sit through that episodes are already almost 25mins long that’s already torture enough on my adhd

-has to have something good to ship DONT JUDGE ME FUCKERS a good 85% of my fandom experience is shipping okay? I’m a man of romance and absolute stupidity and I can’t lie a good ship is normally what draws me into a show (there are exceptions to this rule of course so this one is on the fence)

-well written characters and an interesting plot this should be a no brainer but just give me something I can pick apart with a fine tooth comb (though to be fair I can do that with just about anything) even if the characters aren’t well written I at least want them to be interesting or something I can get my hands on and make them well written (if there’s a pink character that’s a HUGE plus) (characters that are heavily gender nonconforming especially guys who are feminine but not in a gross way are also a HUGE plus)

What’s your opinion on Kerry being available to only male V when it’s mentioned in-game that he’s bi (correct me if I’m wrong, I have terrible memory)?? I feel like they should’ve had bi romance options if they were able to implement both gay and straight ones.

Oh anon, oooooh anon. I love you dearly, but you intentionally or not might as well have thrown lit dynamite in my ask box. This discourse has been such a strange beast within this fandom and I have definitely shared some vague thoughts about it before. I’m putting everything under a read more, to help stave off some....harassment or putting it in people’s lives who may not want it. 

 I still remember I was frankly heartbroken and upset when I first learned Kery wasn’t romanceable by female V when the game first officially came out, but before I played it; River and Panam weren’t even really known about, cause they weren’t talked about much in the promo material,  plus Kerry was shown in romance scenes with what looked to be female V. So, if you go back far enough you’ll find me in December cope posting and being the saddest and angriest of beans, because other than Johnny who I knew was likely off the table. He was one of the only characters I wanted to potentially romance. Now, I’m further away from it, have  processed my feelings regarding it and am more rational I believe regarding the issue. 

But, that being said, a large issue of this sort of discourse is that; no matter what anyone says, someone somwhere is upset. I’ve been insulted, blocked, accused of fetishizing gay men, and so much over my opinion regarding this matter. I’m still currently debating if I even wanna tag this, cause the issue almost always brings negativity to my blog and to me. I have very little interest in being berated for this, so we’ll see how I feel after I finish typing this all out. I’m going to try to go through all my issues, my points, my troubles and feelings about the matter. But, at the end of the day, it is merely my opinion. If someone disagrees, fine, just don’t attack people or berate them over pixels in a video game. Just dont. That’s all I ask. Okay, so I’m gonna divide this into talking points and whatever, now. 

Firstly, Kerry is bisexual. Point blank, period. I’ve seen folks try to argue that his wife was like comphet, which if you dont know means that sometimes exclusively homosexual people will try to force themselves into heterosexual relationships because society has conditioned them to believe they have to be straight. While, I’m not negating the fact that this happens, as a bisexual/pansexual (I use the terms interchangeably to define my experience and feelings)  person I’ve struggled with it when making sense of my attraction to women. It genuinely is something that happens. This is not the case for Kerry; he doesn’t ever hide his attraction to men, between TTRPG lore and the video game he has had two wives , and he is stated by game developers and TTRPG creator to be bisexual.He is bisexual. Getting that out there, saying other wise, in my opinion is a level of bi erasure. That being said, I do still have my grievances with how the game chose to handle his bisexuality and bisexuality as whole, also imo, the game generally doesn’t seem...to treat players who are attracted to men well… 

But before I get into that, I wanna make clear, I feel like Cyberpunk 2077 should have had more romance options for every orientation. If you’re not going to create a player-sexual style of romance; ie where every romanceable character is attracted to the player regardless and wish to focus on each character having their own predetermined sexuality; only have one character for each sexuality is kind of bullshit. If you’re a lesbian player and you’re not into Judy, you get nothing, except a fuck around with Meredith (who I will get to later). You’re a straight woman, but not into River, shit out of luck. You’re a gay man who’s not into Kerry, sucks to suck bud. You’re a straight man who’s not into Panam (kind dont get how you wouldn’t be but who am i to judge), well, you can fuck Meredith… so woooo. Oh also, if you’re not attracted to women, you will still be forced to watch in first person pov a sex scene with Alt and if you want Johnny to like you, you gotta date a girl. Also, all the male love interests will be sidelined mostly…. Hooray… But I digress, either go in with all romance options bi/pan/player sexual, or give more options for romance. Cause now you have the issue of people not getting the partner they hoped for and not liking their only option. Now, you got people trying to make the Judy  bi, which is lesbian erasure and lesbophobic, along with people saying Kerry isn’t bi and can’t be with women which is bi erasure and biphobic. Whereas, if you had just gone in from the get go with either more options or a player-sexual romance system; we wouldn’t be here, CDPR. 

Okay, so next thing, now that I’ve addressed my issues with the entire romance system and that yes, Kerry is bi. Should Kerry have been able to be romanced as female V? Yes and no. Which sounds vague, but I’m going somewhere. With the current set up of it; Kerry being romanceable to a female V would have unfairly given female players an additional love interest over male players. Female V would have the option of Judy, River, or Kerry. And Male V’s would have the option of Kerry or Panam. That’s not fair. I get that, inherently. CDPR painted themselves into a corner, by only letting there be two romances for “each” gender, one for “each” sexuality, and then using a canonically bi character for one of them. They played themselves, they were either gonna have to give an unfair amount of love interest to one side of their gender system or make a bi character who will only pursue one gender. So, they went for the latter. 

Now, some people feel thats fine, because Kerry having a gender preference is fine and its okay for bi people to lean a certain way in regards to gender and its okay for them to not be attracted to people. And that is true. I am a bisexual woman who leans a little more towards men, I get that. However, I have only been given one reason for Kerry’s preference for male V over female V. And it was by a developer of the game who stated that Kerry pursues Male V and not Female V because Male V reminds him more of Johnny… And I hate that. I personally, hate it so deeply, because to me it does a complete disservice to Kerry and V’s relationship and Kerry’s arc. Because even with female V you see him being preoccupied with Johnny and V’s connection to Johnny, then you see him move past that. So, to then state, its still a deciding factor in him romancing V is so wrong to me. Like why???? Why would you do that to people who like Kerry??? Why would you put that in their heads, that Kerry on some level, subconsciously or not, was thinking about Johnny when he decides to romance V. Cause that’s not in the game, in the game you get the vibe he’s moving on past Johnny, like he’s growing, developing, genuinely likes V. But that stupid tweet, just radiates rancid vibes, whyyy???  

And then, outside of that nasty tweet, I have to ask what other reason is there for why he prefers male V over fem V.  They’re...the same characters essentially, just with different pronouns and body type. They also can look like whatever you want; they’re completely customizable. So, Its based off of what the game associates with  gender characteristics and nothing else, meaning, his attraction is rooted solely in their gender and he turns down fem V by virtue of them being a woman and nothing else. Which, yeah, bisexual/pansexual people have preferences but when that preference completely excludes a gender based on nothing but gender…. Uhh????? See my issue???? 

And I’ve seen people saying, well, its better than CDPR playing into slutty will date anybody bisexual stereotypes. But, the thing is...THEY STILL DO THAT which is what drives me up the god damn wall; they managed to do slutty bi stereotypes and I don’t even get kiss the boy, which again, I get the need for fairness but wow, just wow. And lemme explain. 

Meredith is the only character, other than joytoys, whom you can have sex with regardless of gender, body type, etc. She is the only character who shows that she is attracted to V on some level regardless of gender. 

She is a one night stand. Her sex animations are the same as joytoys. She treated like a promiscuous love phobic woman.  And having characters like that is fine, my own V is promiscuous and love phobic. But, we can acknowledge that in a video game by a AAA game company having the only character who is at least physically attracted to the player no matter what, be nothing but sex fodder...isn’t great bi representation, right? 

Oh, and Kerry himself still is a promiscuous bisexual man, he just won’t romance female V because apparently, according to a dev, they don’t remind him of Johnny enough. AND THATS THE DEVS WORDS, NOT MINE, I HATE THAT. Like, Kerry is shown to have people’s lingerie around his house. He’s stated by Johnny to be someone who fucks around. He gets a blowjob from a man in a stairwell. 

The two most blatantly canonically bi character in this game are promiscuous; one wont romance V at all and just wants sex, the other will only romance a male V because at worse, he’s comparing them mentally subconsciously to his dead friend and at best….because….reasons…. Literally, from what I understand for Kerry to romance V, they have to have the “male” body type and “male” voice. Meaning, fem V could literally by all appearances look like masc V, body type wise, but because she uses female pronouns and has a feminine sounding voice...no… the stars say no… 

In my honest opinion, it is bad bisexual representation and a not so well thought out romance system for a game. 

But, that being said, I literally never romance anyone, because I’m a Johnny simp. So, the fuck do I know.

BTS Caretaker CH11

What if it only brings more complication to her already complicated life? Can she survive their charms? Will she be able to resist them? What if they just wont let her go?

Chapter 11 

Journey back to his dorm feels like forever, the night skies were sombre and starless, and it seemed to mock Jin’s current state.  He purposely walked slowly along the empty streets in hope he could eliminate these unimportant worries in him.

When he was first brought into the company, he had zero knowledge and skills. Even though, it was indeed true skills can be shaped over times, but it was not an easy journey for him. He worked extra hard to make himself worthy in the group. Some may find it was ridiculous to scout him and turned him into one of possible Bangtan’s members.

Jin never missed a day excreting his sweat and tears, singing at the top of his lung, dancing his heart out just to ensure he is worth to be called as Bangtan’s members. His visual alone was not enough, he needed more.

Daesang awards were huge for them and up until now they still could not believe how this thing could happen overnight. They worked their ass off for years, not they wanted to brag and claimed they were better than other idols out there. Different people has different struggle in life. Each of the members has their own struggle too, including him.

He’s aware of the hatred thrown to them over the years, but the support from Armys manage to cover that up. Jin smiled to himself at the memories that he shared with the members and Armys. He would never get tired performing on stage, something that he would do forever.

His attention shifted to a store across the road. Absentmindedly, he crosses the road with a wide grin plastered across his face, there stood huge Bangtan’s standee in their Puma’s outfits. To be frank, he was proud of their achievement. Sometimes, it fascinated him to see their faces everywhere in the city.

It was too much to be called as a dream.

It was real.

“You did great” he whispered under his breath, and he took few more minutes to stare blankly at the standee in front of him. It felt like they had fulfilled the impossible in life.

Tapping his finger on the glass where his standee stood handsomely “You never cease to amaze me Kim Seokjin, good looking as always” he complimented.

When it came to self-compliment, Jin knew the drill.

It somewhat helped him to go through rough times in life, a little self-confident that is all he needed. Then, he would face even the hardest hurdles in life without any single whine.

Pinching the bridge of her nose to ease the ache, Seul sighed tiredly, scanning the now organized place with a wide grin “That took me forever!” she stretched a little. Unlike yesterday, she went a little later than usual, because she had to serve an early shift considering Wongeun is out of town for a week.

Checking every nook and cranny of the place, Seul entered that one room which she hated the most, Jin and Suga’s room. As irrelevant as it might sound, the room alone sent tingle down her spine. It brought back to that day when Yoongi and her just.. let’s stop it there. How it was not easy for her to just ignore this thought away, but they were talking about a kiss that they shared. Unintended kiss.

Seul walked pass Yoongi’s room and went straight to Jin. Crouching down in front of the cages where he kept Odeng and Eomuk, Seul decided to feed those two little not so innocent creatures. If it weren’t for them, the thing with Jimin would not happen.

Speaking of Jimin, it rendered her speechless. The topic of Jimin and Yoongi are something that she wanted to avoid for the rest of her life.

“Let’s eat Odeng-ie.. Eomuk-ie…” said Seul gleefully. Setting the food on floor, she sat down cross legged while her fingers fiddles with the lock. As soon as she unlocked the cage, the two siblings sprinted out happily and went straight to their source of happiness.

Seul strokes the top of Odeng head with her finger softly not wanting to scare it away “Eat well, you are so adorable” she giggled.

She then plugged her buds and tuned to some random songs like RM’s Mixtape whom she chose to ignore at first but only to fail her. It was not easy to completely ignore good songs especially Bangtan Sonyeondan’s songs. She had to admit this one fact that they were genius including Min Suga. The honesty in the songs that they produced gave life to her dull self. Guess, their songs are becoming Seul’s main therapy.

Letting out small chuckle, she watched the siblings fought for food and went around and round like a happy kid “It must be less hassle for animal like you. You have nothing to worry off, only to survive in this harsh world. That is not until you find the best owner that can love you without boundaries, then you are set to go” she whispered, giving Eomuk’s small head a soft pat.

After spending for good 30 minutes monitoring Odeng and Eomuk , Seul decided to call it a day, keeping them back into the cage. “We will play again tomorrow, I hope your Jin daddy would not be mad at me. Don’t tell him” she giggled.

Tapping her hand together, she rose up leaving the room silently. To her surprise, she was welcomed by the dark room. Seul tilted her head in confusion “Did I turn off the light? I don’t remember doing that” scrutinizing the room to find any sign of soul inside.

Seul turned her heels to serve the food that she cooked earlier on the table, the boys would be back anytime. With a light heart, she hummed to Bangtan’s songs while keeping her hand busy until everything is arranged perfectly.

A loud bam coming from the front door surprised her, Seul cursed mentally knowing what might come to her. Will she face another nonsense moments with one of the members again? Screw this, meaning it was a sign for her to leave immediately without them knowing. However, it was rather weird that she didn’t catch any commotions from the front considering how loud the boys could be sometimes.

                    It was a long silent only sound of light footstep could be heard across the room.

Her eyes eyed her stuff that lied helplessly at the corner of the room, thankfully it was away from prying eyes. Stealthily, Seul made her way without making any sound so she could leave instantly. As she was about to gather herself again and flee from the scene, her ears perked up, those sound of soft sob drew her attention from her stuff.

Who is crying? Her brows knitted together. Seul got up, bailing her earlier plan to escape. She was more interested in finding the source of that soft voice. To her, it sounded broken and for an odd reason her heart clenched in pain.

Her heart pounded as she searched for the owner of the sad sob. Due to the darkness in the room, she didn’t even realize the soft thing beneath her “Oh my god, im s-“her eyes shot open upon her skin made contact with the thing there.

His head was buried in his knees turning him into a fragile kid who feared the darkness.

Jin head snapped at the friction, and he looked at Seul with confused look. Even in the darkness she could see his eyes glistening with tears, something told her, he was indeed broken inside. “Who…are you…” in comparison to her encounter with Jimin, this one with Jin was rather calm. Most probably Jin was more mature and think a little rationally, she supposed.

His voice was raspy and gruffy, and Seul continued to stare at him in confusion and concern. He was supposed to flip out or scared at least because after all he found a stranger in the same room as his. Why would he act all calm and alright? Could Yoongi or Jimin told everyone about her existence? That could be it judging from Jin’s ignorance.

“Are you urm alright?” Seul inquired timidly.

Jin nodded slightly as his kept his meaningful gaze making Seul recoiled in her stance “You are Mrs Hwang’s daughter?” Jin mumbled. “I think I saw you before, that eyes” his lips were pressed into thin line trying to recall the memories.

“I don’t remember meeting you” she blinked.

He shifted, and even his little movement got her nervous. Seul stared blankly at Jin’s hand, he held out his palm to her direction as if like an offer but what was that for again. She hesitantly reached her right hand to his warm one, and Jin’s strong grip almost knocked her down.

Using Seul weight as a support, he pushed his body up, standing straight with a soft sigh.  

“Never mention this to other” he warned.

“I..dont have any intention on telling anyone. Urm.. I will probably just go” she pulled her hand away from Jin’s grasp. Now she missed the emptiness and warmth that she felt earlier. Why was she like this? Was she that desperate for a touch?

Nothing came from Jin, so she took the cue to walk away before anyone else appeared and she didn’t want to be cornered by the group. This was not the time to be investigated. He reached around and took hold of her wrist gently but firmly causing the girl to turn her body again facing Jin “Can I have a cup of hot tea?” he blurted out.

Seul was losing her words, first Jin was too beautiful and secondly the words coming from his mouth alone got her heart flipping weirdly here and there. Crazy Ji Seul.

“Su..re…I will get it for you” she coughed softly, slowly slipping away. She could feel his gaze throw daggers through her head. Was he always that calm? However, he looked like he was over all shits in life. Did something happen to him? Where were others?

The atmosphere was rather awkward, glancing over the man across her, Seul mentally complimented Jin’s visual. It was her first time seeing him up close, so it was fascinating to see the popular guy who became a talk of town due to his overflowing charms. She had to agree that Jin is dashing and super good looking.

Jin took a long sip from his hot tea, it helped to comfort his heart.

Finally breaking the silence, Jin let out an exhaust sigh garnering Seul attention “So are you a fan?” he looked up meeting her bewildered stare.

“Mmm.. not really? I listen to your songs though” she replied abruptly.

“Are you sure you are not a sasaeng?” he raked his fingers in his hair not breaking the contact with Seul. Jin was studying her diligently, since he only heard the story from Yoongi and Jimin. He had no choice but to believe Yoongi’s theory. When he first heard it from Jimin few days ago, Jungkook and him was shocked that it matched Yoongi’s story. Leaving them with no choice, they decided to trust Jimin and Yoongi, therefore just like that the rest of the members were being informed about this Mrs Hwang daughter situation. Well, minus their managers of course.

The boys decided to take this matter in their own hands. If what Seul told them was the truth, then what choice did they have. The caretaker ahjumma had been awfully nice to them, the least they could do was to seal the secret away from their managers and Bighit.

Depending on the root of the story and it validity, of course.

“Do I look like that ‘oppa please notice me juseyo~’ kind of girl” Seul mimicked a fangirl voice and rolled her eyes.

The corner of his lips was tugged into a small smile “It is too much a coincidence that you are the caretaker ahjumma’s daughter, how can we trust you?” he pressed.

“That is up to you, I am here to do my job as requested by my mother. And if it weren’t for her, I would not be here invading your so called personal space. I think I explained to that Suga guy and some weird guy who go around the house shirtless” she stopped, hissing under her breath for spouting nonsense in front of Jin.

“Weird guy who wander around the house shirtless? What exactly happened to you and Jimin?” he raised his brows with a deep frown.

Seul flustered “Nothing. I thought he told you everything considering the first thing that came out from you was ‘Are you Mrs Hwang’s daughter?’. Didn’t rude Suga tell you everything?” she snorted hoping Yoongi would not reveal the kisses.

“ Rude Suga” Jin shook his head in disapproval, “That is offending me Miss Mrs Hwang’s daughter” he exclaimed.

“Heol, I admired your strong bonds with Suga” she looked at him disbelief. Then the table turned silent again, as they were deep in their own thought trying to decipher things around them. On the other hand, Jin was too exhausted to start another mouth fight. For now, he trusted her seeing how she acted. Seul was definitely not a fan or worse sasaeng fan.

Seul cleared her throat easing the awkwardness “So, what happen back then?” she chewed her lower lips.

Not expecting the question from Seul, Jin face felt and now he returned to his sombre self “That one..i am having that moment where my mental shut down by its own. It is unavoidable and make me feel shitty. I feel like I have achieved something in life, but it still fails me” he murmured.

“Whatever happen to you, remind yourself that no pain comes without a purpose. You just have to move on from what is hurting you, yet don’t you ever forget the things that it taught you. Jin-ssi, just because you are struggling doesn’t mean you are failing. Every great success that you achieve now is a worthy struggle for you. Then, you realize that the hurdles that you face is not found on the path, it is the path itself. Do not be afraid to get up again and to try. I know you are worthy to be in Bangtan. Everyone does.” She exhaled softly.

He couldn’t take his eyes off her, and the lecture began to sound like a melodious music to his ears. Jin stared at her wide eyes as if it was some kind of joke that this person whom he just met could read through him like an open book. He found the strength to smile again afterwards which flustered Seul. She will never get used of Jin’s good look, it was dazzling.

“That takes my breath away..Mrs Hwang..mm?” before he could continue with the long nickname that he gave her, Seul blurted “It is Seul. Ji Seul” she smiled awkwardly.

“Seul..” he hummed with a shy smile.

“It is like you could read through me, thank you for that. I appreciated it Seul-ssi” he stretched out his hand to the cup direction, taking a short sip from it again while eyeing Seul. He remembered now where they first met. It was the elevator girl looking confused and broken. So, that was her.

“I need to go back, it is late. I don’t want to cause any uproar when the rest came in. This maybe probably our first and last meeting Jin-ssi. I will perform my job under the radar from now on” she professed.

Jin flinched upon hearing her random blabbered, Seul got up from her seat bowing politely “There are food for everyone, urm except for Suga” she patted her lips and scolded it making the older guy chuckled.

“I didn’t mean to sound bias but he…nevermind. I will take my leave now” she rubbed her neck, gathering her stuff and exited the area before she made fun of herself in front of him. Her steps came to a stop halfway to the living room, and without turning back to Jin “And, Jin-ssi.. Remember before anything, to be yourself and love yourself. It is the recipe to happiness” Jin tilted his head staring at her back with genuine smile. There was astounding power flowing in this room the likes of which he had never felt before.

“We will meet again for sure Ji Seul”

it kinda bugs me how they cant make httyd3 longer just so they can emphasize the story in a deeper meaning, like your post abt it being disproportionate. httyd3 had a LOT more plot than httyd2 and we can already see how it has to cramp so much and why that makes D2's pace felt pretty fast. the structure of the story is actually well planned.. perfect, to be exact! but the execution like putting pauses, necessary humor, longer dialogue, is whats needed to make it um, understandable? im not sure..

this isnt meant to judge the movie as bad though! but its a question ive been asking why they cant do it longer, for that sake. is it the budget? was Dean really certain the script is okay? or is it meant to be like this so people can interpret the movie their way? (oof that one is confusing).. i dont know, i want to ask about your thoughts on that >

It’s an interesting conversation for sure! I believe that THW doesn’t have to be longer to be extremely successful in the ideas it needs to convey! The core ideas being:

Toothless cannot be a wild dragon and strong alpha leader with humans. Other dragons probably deserve the respect of needing wild dragon needs, too.

Humans like Grimmel are extremely dangerous to dragons and will continue to arise, so dragons need to go to an area separate from humans to live in optimal peace.

Hiccup and Toothless’ powerful friendship will separate (insofar as physical location) due to the first two points

I know you’re not the only person I’ve talked to who wanted a longer time because you feel like certain elements were cramped, needed more breathing room, or that dangerous plot points didn’t get enough sense of weight. More time would presumably give that flow and sense of scale and danger. Now, it’s true that more time would give us more content to develop these things. That said, I believe solutions aren’t always “add more.” Creating good art isn’t about adding new things; it’s about knowing when to take away or alter, and how to make every second of your creation count optimally.

I remember when I was doing my music composition degree, my instructors hammered into me what would make a good final piece: the editing process of deleting measures - even measures that were really good! - because they didn’t fit what the final product needed. It’s painful to delete, but ultimately, it’s freeing; instead of making a music piece more cluttered to put all possible good ideas in, I can make it less cluttered, more manageable, more beautiful, more meaningful, and more effective to audiences. A better overall piece isn’t putting in every good idea I have; it’s leaving the piece with the beautiful ideas it needs.

I suggest The Hidden World doesn’t need added materials so much as it needs refining what’s already there.

Budget, production green lighting, and carefulness to the script all seem to have been done. HTTYD 3 was given a longer production time than originally planned. They pushed back the date exactly so they could make their best product. Interviews with people like DeBlois and Spielberg (who read several definitions of the script) talk about how much the script was transformed and bettered through its drafts. They did enough tweaking and care to rework the script. As for budget, the movie was 129 million USD, which sure was the cheapest of the HTTYD trilogy to create, but it’s about on par with what DreamWorks has spent on other movies like Home and Trolls - it’s not like there was skimping - and it’s all about making your money count, which I think this glorious, top notch animation quality film effectively did. So from what I’ve heard, I think production ran fine and we can’t question THW there.

I think most of THW’s problems can be solved simply by tweaking how scenes go down, taking a few small elements out, and adding a few small elements in. It doesn’t need time changes; it needs internal modifications to what’s already there. What I propose wouldn’t change much of the movie’s length - though maybe I we could add 5-8 minutes for things like a longer climax.

1. To Feel Less “Cluttered” or “Rushed”

The movie didn’t feel rushed to me or too cluttered, but it’s cluttered. You’re right. In addition to creating less clutter, my suggested tweaks will clear up time THW can spend elsewhere, streamline THW into fewer palatable essential ideas, and give a slight tone makeover that will add more sense of danger and conflict that THW needs.

Fewer humor side gags with minor characters (and less time spent on them). The gang’s antics are fun additions, yes, but that doesn’t mean they’re central to what the plot needs. Spending too much time with them adds clutter and takes away from plot-central, tone-central material. There’s a huge gaggle of gags in THW, more than any movie needs in a less-than-two-hour-long run time. Do we need all these to give THW its comic relief? Don’t get me wrong - I loved the humor - but time needs to be prioritized, and the movie will be improved once “less is more.”

Less time with Tuffnut’s pep talks. This goes with my first point. This comedic gag was lengthy in particular. It’s in part because it connects to the idea of Hiccstrid marrying, which THW does make more central in its themes. However, I also propose:

Spend less time (or delete) the will-they won’t-they marry Hiccstrid plot. THW intends to parallel Hiccup and Toothless maturing into adulthood, including their romantic connections. However, a will-they won’t-they marry subplot in Hiccstrid isn’t needed to create that parallel. Not to mention: it can be uncomfortable to have this undertone of romance as “required” adulthood maturation, and the fact that Hiccstrid are so close and intimate makes it feel “off” that they’re so uncomfortable talking about marriage. Spend less time here, simply make fans aware they’re going to marry in the future but not today, and return to the main relationships THW needs to pay attention to: that of Hicctooth and Nightlight. 

2. To Make Grimmel a Greater Sense of Threat

One of the central points is that Grimmel is extremely dangerous and represents one of many humans that’ll continue to be a threat to dragons. While Grimmel can be overcome, Hiccup will need to interact with Grimmel in such a way he can understand that dragons and humans cannot coexist in today’s civilization without continuing to risk danger, and that it’s best for everyone to live happily in two separate civilizations. It’s not being defeated by the enemy’s oppression, but taking a brilliant countermeasure to give humans and dragons both a better existence.

Making Grimmel feel like a greater sense of threat, and helping audience members understand what Grimmel represents overarchingly of humanity’s current antagonistic state, will help us and Hiccup process why a separation is best. This can be done by:

Show Grimmel’s impact on human society. All we’d have to do is change what his base looks like: it could be located in an area taken over from another human civilization, showing his army’s power and place in this world over humans.

Greater weight placed on Berk’s exodus. The Hooligans lost their home, but it’s played too lightly. It’s not written optimally as an emotionally impacting or destabilizing moment, which decreases the sense of threat Grimmel has. Instead of having the Hooligans excited to find New Berk, show them grieving. They can butt against Hiccup’s ideas of finding the Hidden World, but instead in a way where they’re frustrated at his naive solution and hurt at what they left behind. This isn’t adding time to THW; this is tweaking phraseology and presenting an event differently.

Change how Berk is abandoned. To make the attack feel more dire, threatening, either: 1. Have the Hooligans more reluctant and grumpy to leave in the town meeting, and not play the leaving scene so lightly, or 2. Have Grimmel chase them out of Berk so they have to flee then and there. This might even reduce time! 

Show Grimmel’s power over dragons. We could have a few-second-long flashback of him standing over a field of dead Night Fury bodies, or have his place cloaked in dragon skins or skulls. 

Show Grimmel’s power as a warlord. Grimmel acts in almost a solo fashion, despite cooperating with warlords and having an army. It doesn’t give us a good sense of scale. Show his interactions better with the whole of his forces to make him feel more dangerous, and for humanity as a whole to feel more like a threat against dragons. For example, in the scenes where he’s trying to trap the dragon riders, show him commanding more people.

Show Grimmel’s impact on the dragon (and/or human worlds) through landscape. What if, as the Hairy Hooligans try to find a new place to stay, they fly over several islands that have been destroyed by Grimmel’s forces? Either human civilizations, or homes once havens to dragons, with characters making comment they “hope” people got away. And what if, when Grimmel takes their dragons near the end of THW, it’s again through more violence and a raid and fire and destruction? 

Conversations more clearly talk about Grimmel’s dangers over dragons and humans, and how he’s one of many people that’ll arise. This idea is embedded in THW dialogue, but not clearly enough to fully grasp its weight, especially not in the sense we see characters grasp this. Have Hiccup and Astrid and Valka or something talk about how widely destructive Grimmel is, how even once he’s gone another man like him will take his place, and that while they may continue to fight and win for human and dragonkind, it’s ultimately not the right move to make for everyone to live safest and alive. A conversation laying this out makes a world of difference in our understanding of what dangers are going down and why we need to come to the solution THW concludes with. Again, this isn’t adding time; it’s changing phraseology. 

Add a few minutes to the climax. Make the final fight with Grimmel obviously the final fight, the threat bigger, the action more intense.

Perhaps show that Berk’s done good work changing the world by their choices. Even though Berk ultimately decides to let the dragons go, they are meant to be the voice of peace that changes their world. The good guys can’t resign to letting themselves live under the thumb of bad guys’ choices. Show that they’ve made a difference - Grimmel and his armies are gone and the world is regrowing (no more torched landscape, if we add that element in) - but that it’s still going to help their world by letting dragons go, too… for this generation, at least.

3. To Make Hiccup and Toothless’ Parting Jive Better

Hiccup and Toothless separate out of need - they can’t live in the same place for the better of both their kinds. However, since the movie spends so much time on Toothless chasing after the Light Fury, we don’t get that full sense of need. I propose:

Open THW with a clear Hicctooth sappy bonding moment. We need things like “Forbidden Friendship” and “Where No One Goes” to feel the power of Hicctooth’s love. Give us that starting sense in THW of how close they are before adding in the complications. It can even be done by tweaking how the opening fight scene goes down.

Show dragons profiting by living with humans, but it also being Complicated with their wild side. We need to acknowledge that the relationship between humans and dragons has done the dragons good, too! Otherwise it might feel incongruous with the rest of the franchise.

Show dragons being unfit in the urban area through their own restlessness. The movie tries to show this with Moosie Boi being too big for Berk, and Berk being so crowded with dragons Gobber finds the soup unsanitary. But if we see Stormfly restless and want to leave for the Hidden World, too, wouldn’t this say something more about where dragons are pulled to and belong?

Less time spent on Toothless investigating the Night Fury. You can’t cut this down too much or we’ll feel like rushing, but since THW focuses so much on just Toothless and the Light Fury’s connection rather than an overarching problem for dragons, it’s hard to feel the full-scale issues of the problem. Making it just him and her feels more like a hook up love story than “dragons and humans are incompatible for their needs.”

Change Toothless’ body language. Show more emotional division in Toothless about his conflicting options. Show him hesitant to leave Hiccup and the two interact over that. Show him lonely away from his kind when with Hooligans. Show him feeling that loneliness met - that deep emotional need of being with his own species - when he’d thought was lost to him (rather than focusing on it being a romantic hookup interest). This doesn’t take more time; it tweaks what was already given on screen.

Change Toothless’ emotions with the Light Fury to feel more like loneliness being met than horny boi practicing kissing with a rock. This does a better job of showing that Toothless has a deep need that needs to be met as a wild animal and as a social draconic species.

Change conversations Hiccup has with humans about Toothless’ struggle. Maybe have Hiccup processing less with people and more by himself or with Toothless. Don’t write the conversations with people be about “Toothless has a girlfriend” and “of course he left.” Discuss instead how Night Furies are social creatures and Toothless hasn’t been with his kind in six years - that’s a huge hole in his heart being filled. Validate the deep connection Hiccup and Toothless have, while simultaneously acknowledging the struggle of this moment now. The movie shows that the Light Fury can never be domesticated, so I think that’s fine, but maybe one line from Astrid saying, “I don’t think she’ll come to live with us,” would be enough to help other audience members pick that up too.

More time spent on all dragons being in danger, and Toothless as an alpha unable to protect them with Hairy Hooligans. The story doesn’t show Toothless being much of an alpha - intentional - until he reaches the Hidden World and it clicks. But I suggest it’d be more effective to pull this out more than having an issue with Moose Boi taking up too much space in Berk, and Berk being so crowded Gobber has a dragon in his soup.

Put more of a deal on Toothless being an alpha. You can say that Toothless didn’t understand or use his role as alpha when with humans, but I think showing more sense of conflict, and of an alpha needing to be wild to protect his own, would be useful. Make this an issue for all dragons. The alpha status being used as a blackmail device against Toothless to keep the Light Fury alive could be replaced with us seeing the full species of dragonkind being unable to be protected by an alpha apart from his own people. More needs to be done than dragons bowing to him in one scene to understand what the alpha does for his society.

Show Toothless with more Light Furies. The Light Fury being his singular focus is great. But what about, in the Hidden World, Hiccup and Astrid watch Toothless interacting with a whole group of Night Furies, and he’s clearly in a situation that was Made For Him?

THW already has great content in there - Toothless and the Light Fury interacting, Hiccup crying when he realizes Toothless is fit in the Hidden World, Hiccup freaking out and Astrid comforting him when he feels a low, and Hiccup and Toothless parting ways touchingly at the end.

With these proposed tweaks, we get Toothless and Hiccup’s relationship being addressed deeply from the angle of both friends. We understand what both Toothless and Hiccup emotionally feel, and palatably sense how both love the other. We get a sense that Toothless is attracted to the Light Fury and might want to mate, but that she’s also calling him into a wild life and reminding him that he’s been alone, separated from his kind. We get a sense that it’s not just Toothless, but all dragons who might be called back to the Hidden World. We get a sense that it’s not just Toothless, but his whole role as alpha affecting the entirety of dragonkind.

And once we add in a greater sense of Grimmel being dangerous, and that more humans like him will continue to rise up, we can understand why Berk would release all their dragons. It’s not that dragons hate living with humans - THW can make that clear - and it’s not that dragons haven’t been profited by living with humans. But in the current call, the current situation, it’s best to go to the Hidden World.

I’m mostly tweaking how scenes go down, changing lines and reactions rather than adding material. Feel free to propose a longer movie! For me, THW already has enough space to share its message. Maybe it needed to be a few minutes longer, but I suppose my own sense is that they had enough time to budget in this material, make a smooth-flowing movie with all the material they needed to present, and come away with an astounding storyline.

Like you, this isn’t meant to judge the movie as bad! It isn’t bad! It’s downright wonderful in many aspects. I’m so happy I’ve seen it and can scream over it! Simply, if I were in charge of tweaking the script, these are the first alterations I’d make, and I think it would make THW even better.

Specifically friends to lovers, but I also really like the found family trope. I know there are more tropes that I love but I can't think of them off the top of my head, so I'll probably just agree with others as the week goes on

Also not an overarching story trope, but more like a type of a scene... I really like this thing (if this is a trope please tell me what it's called XD) A, B, C are friends. A and B are bffs. C is not as close. B talks to C about this while A is away. This is an honest conversation, not a malicious one. B learns to see A in a way they hadn't before, and it strengthens the B-A friendship. I'm not likely to start reading a story just because I know it contains this scene. But if a story I already like has this scene, it is likely to be my favorite scene!(edited)

I guess part of the reason why I like it so much is, it shows that the relationship (the B-A one in this case) is not insular. It's a real relationship between real people, who also have relationships outside of it, and the relationships have an influence on each other.

(And that's a lot of "relationship"s in a paragraph...)

Positive relationships and healthy navigations between relationship and life problems are my jam The enemies to lovers trope can be gripping because you get an additional conflict on top of tension. I thought the novel Red White & Royal Blue did a good job at that. Grant Snyder did a trope bingo for murakami and I thought it was fun to do the same for my works in progress. All I can say is... Red Oni, Blue Oni (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RedOniBlueOni). This trope is seriously so good. My favorite thing about this trope is that the "Red Oni," or the hot-headed one, and the "Blue Oni," the cold or level-headed one, can be either friends or enemies. So it makes for a beautiful dynamic no matter what type of story it is. Buddy cops, competitors in the workplace, brothers, enemies, the straight man and the fool, you name it. Typically these characters are foils of each other, and their differencesbalways make for exceedingly fun interactions. Another favorite trope of mine, which I don't really know the name of, is where the seemingly hot/handsome guy is actually a dork who has no idea what he's doing. Everyone in the story thinks he's done everything, but really he's just a dopey, niave possibly shy and definitely clumsy virgin. But the social awkwardness only makes him inexplicably more appealing to the other lead. Cute

Ah! Another trope I have to add because it's basically my crack: Androids Are People, Too (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AndroidsArePeopleToo). I have loved this trope since before Detroit: Become Human, but the game certainly rekindled my love for it. Very genre-specific, but AI fascinate me to no end, whether it's in the real world, or in Sci-Fi.

Like, Love, Simon or Call Me By Your Name show gay men as people slowly falling in love and it’s tender and kind. But The Favorite literally has animal abuse in it and women sleeping with each other for power. I walked out of the theater. Same for Killing Eve, it’s about a spy and a murderer. High intrigue and drama but it’s obviously a toxic relationship from the premise

It’s formatted like a webcomic as well though formally called manhua. It does the slow burn romance, humanizing aspect very well. I’m not well versed in the mainstream portrayal but certainly on the indie side, people are stepping up and writing very positive and healthy lesbian stories

I just...I really love royalty. I can't help it. I love the pointless traditions, the fancy dresses, the palaces, etc.. And even if that's not part of it, I still like it when some rando girl realizes that she's a princess and now has to deal with that idea that she has subjects she has to protect or something. Bonus points if she's a magical girl. I even like it when it's a reverse situation where it's an evil princess. I will never tire of princesses ever because the concept is always fascinating to me no matter which way its spun.

ooh are we talking about tropes we like? I really like mind reading/ mind control. But consensual. It's feels like the theme of trust taken to the extreme, where a character has such belief in someone they'd trust their mind / body to them. But I've only really seen it in some kid's books I liked (Young Wizards, Animorphs), and the only webcomic I've seen with this idea is my own, and I haven't even gotten to that part yet. fall 2019 anime first thoughts

the new season is finally all here! i’m pretty positive about some of these new shows, so i’m very much looking forward to these next months’ releases~

sao: alicization: war of underworld: is it just me who didn’t know this or what- alicization arc takes place immediately after the first season apparently. so where are frickin ggo and etc fitting into this timeline? thanks reki. so far it’s pretty neutral, like this season isn’t blowing my mind or anything. but it’s not unwatchable. this arc might be the second suckiest after all the fairy arcs tbh. i just want smth more like ordinal scale or ggo. bc those were actually p good.

bnha 4: for some reason didn’t see a lot of hype around this new season? like was it not advertised a lot? do people not know it’s airing? idk. bnha is p okay for me, i like the animation and of course todoroki, but i’m no super fan oof and honestly i was more excited for the new releases of kimetsu no yaiba than this lol…

kono yuusha ga ore tueee kuse ni shinchou sugiru: ok honest to god i didn’t have crazy good expectations for tis but it left me surprised. it’s got strong ass konosuba vibes but in a good way, unlike *cough* world’s strongest fkn alchemist thing of last season***** and it’s pretty funny too

shokugeki no soma 4: yass! i finally caught up on s3 recently so yay i fkn love this. i love cooking shows for some weird reason and it’s just so pleasing to see all the creativity and specialized knowledge that goes into this. honestly the whole Central thing rly caught me off guard and im just super excited for this!

choujin koukousei-tachi wa isekai demo yoyuu de ikiniku you desu: ok first of all i hate this title. second of all, better than i thought. nice animation/ opening theme/ char designs. tbh the whole ‘super genius’ thing is kinda dumb like the CHILD is the PRIME MINISTER and another CHILD kills people in a WAR with a SWORD and anOther CHILD controls half the stocks or smth. stfu ok. i dooo like mr stocks market tho and ninja girl, they cute asf and doctor lady is so pretty. but like. eh. magician boy is also useless and annoying like if ya gonna be a magician type character in a MAGICAL world at least try to explain how his tricks work otherwise he is just useless and a faker. ya i don’t like him. and also it just kinda skips around showing their geniousness at work like how the science girl just makes hi-tech stuff and akatsuki can use his magic tricks when he obvs shouldn’t have any of his magic equip stuff like ughh it would be so much better if it didn’t gloss this over and i’d have more appreciation for the characters’ intelligence too. but oh well.

Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui - UmMMm........This seems high key illegal and it made me uncomfy because uhhhhh 17 x 27 year old ? This should teach me to read descriptions first instead of basing from the image which was still sus but I didnt think it would go this way ASDFGHJ. I may drop this one although the op was catchy and ehhhh may continue just to give it a low rate in myanimelist lol

Gokushufudou - Complete and utter disappointment. I am not gonna put it below the pedo shenenigans but damn I am disappointed. I think the overall concept is good and I am sure the manga is great, but you cant just take literal manga panels and blast some voice lines and call it animation because it looks bad and choppy. Maybe ill give the manga a try but dont watch it, not worth it.

Shadows House - It was... okay? I mean it was a bit boring in my opinion but Ive heard manga readers say that its very good and it holds up but for now I will tentatively hold to that. Nothing realy extraordinary happens although the main girls seem very cute so far, not much to say on it tbh.

Subarashiki Kono Sekai The Animation - This is very tentative because I know the game is good from what ive seen but maybe its a bit harder to grasp as an anime only watcher so I will give it the benefit of the doubt. The characters seemed really cool and that one asshole flirty villain dude got me looking respectfullY

Yuukoku no Moriarty 2nd Season - I meannn, i've never been the biggest fan of Moriarty the patriot but I love the Irene arc on the manga so ehhh hopefully its good,,,, I hope the problems I had with season 1 dont get brushed over to this season but overall an okay start in my opinion.

Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou. - I feel like this is what Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui was trying to be but this is a less creepy version of a similar concept xdd. Ngl this can either go two ways for me; if they push the romance it will be an immediate nope for me but if they go with the I will help this kid and this is an uncomfortable situation but I just want us to mutually grow and I want to see her live happy with her high school romance then it may be kinda poggers. like I said, its too early too judge but the main guy was a million times more likable than the one in koi to yobu who was just plain creepy.

Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san - I dont know what to say about this one ASDFGHJ Like I know its been controversial and the manga is popular and the art style is absolutely goooorgeous, but I cant help but feel a bit un comfy at parts and I felt kind of bad for the main guy. This may be one that gets better over time tho so I will still watch to see how it turns out!

Mashiro no Oto - This was.... weird (and not in a bad way I swear skskssk). I honestly went into it without many expectations, tbh it reminded me of barakamon and I didn't necessarily enjoyed it much but I though I'd give it a try. It's definitely a lot darker than I thought and although the animation threw me off a bit it was alright, ill keep watching it to see where it leads!

Fumetsu no Anata e - I liked it but it was a bit weirdly paced for me sksksk I feel like this is one of those anime that everyone will love and I am sure is absolutely fantastic but just wont hook me for some strange reason but I hope I am proven wrong! The animation is absolutely gorgeous tho ill defo give them that!!

Shakunetsu Kabaddi - This was good! I read the first five chapters of the manga so I knew what to expect. The animation is pretty and the story is interesting so far. I dont have much to say tbh but I thought it was cool to see a different sport and from what I read incomes from India which is very poggersss

Boku no hero Academia Season 5: It was good!! I know people like to shit on bnha but I love them and even if the plot Is kinda messy atm in the manga it holds a special place for me!! It was sort of a filler but I thought it was great and I loved seeing my babus baccc, the next arc is gonna be bombb so stand

Bakuten!! - Ngl I needed a sports anime to fill the hole of sadness that sk8 left in me and Bakuten will become my comfort show if it continues like the first ep ASDFGHJ. It was very good!! I love the main character already and the one who has those awful looking bangs because I like the quirky ones SKSKSKSK. Definetely give it a watch if you enjoy sports anime!

Bishounen Tanteidan - Okay this top 3 are pretty tied because I loved the first ep of them all because this is exactly right my comedic alley SDFGHJK It gave me so much ouran vibes and eye-....... Ive had this people for like 20 minutes and I would die for the pretty boy detectives SKSKSK anyways this is just my personal opinion because I know its not up everyones alley so yeah take it with a grain of salt.

Tokyo Revengers - I know I was going to like this one for a while so it doesnt surprise me to place it so high skskks I love the concept, reminds me of Erased (hopefully with a better ending rip) and I really want to take the manga up! Also hi blonde guy from the outdo if you are reading this I love you muah lmaooo. Super intriguing premise hopefully it keeps up!!

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun 2nd Season - I have no words other than you should all go pick up m!ik right this second because its my comfort manga and they are all so incredibly cool and important and Asmodeus and Lied and the ships and its funny and god go watch it pleaSEEE ASDFGHJK In all seriousness I do adore m!ik and I do recommend it for whoever loves this types of shows of cool characters and comedy.

ooh, the way her body kind of moves of its own volition is new — interesting. So is the feeling of suffocation, I'm so curious!OMG I LOVE HOW IT ALL JUST STOPS WHEN SHE SEES HIM! I'm loving this canon twist so much and I've barely even started. Aw she isn't panicking because she knows he'd never hurt her even in wolf form my heartttttt. Also I love their first meeting. I love her explanation to herself. I love this fic. I don't want it to ever end and I'm still at the beginning (2).

And ughhh I love this so much. OMGGG IM SO EXCITED FOR THEIR FIRST MEETING WHERE THEY'RE BOTH HUMAN AND CAN COMMUNICATE AND OBVIOUSLY BANTER. Also these lines are so great I love Carolines sass and how you write her (all the characters actually). (4)

Omg she feels like she belongs she's not scared of him she never will be this is my otp. I LOVE CONFIDENT CAROLINE. I feel so torn for Caroline, a part of her wants to protect him because of what she feels and a part of her wants to get away because of what she knows. (5)

This was one of the best first interactions I've read it was so good and there was so much chemistry and I can just imagine the tension crackling in the air between them and they were so in character and it was so perfect. Suga’s first impression of you is that you’re no stranger to guys. He sees you around school often, always with an entourage of guys who you appear to be friendly and close to. At first, he’s just someone in the background and you don’t notice him - he’s just another pretty boy, after all. You don’t see him completely until you run into him on the street and he reaches a hand out to you as he introduces himself. You remember who he is and you let him walk you home. The silence is awkward, but you keep a steady stream of questions flowing and by the time you reach your home, both of you are laughing and friendly to one another. Suga says he’ll see you around before heading off.

Somehow, Suga gets sucked into your existing pool of friends, but he manages to stand out because of his attractiveness and charm. He enjoys your weirdness and your playfulness, but he can also sense your serious side, especially when it comes to touchy subjects with your friends or in school. He walks home with you when he doesn’t have practice and you make every walk last longer by taking detours or alternate routes. Suga contributes to this by making his own journeys through the neighborhood and the two of you begin to discover elements about the community you never knew existed. These walks are never quiet now - you’re always talking, always engaging in Suga in a variety of topics. His range of knowledge helps when it comes to the random subject changes.

There are days when you and Suga are at one another’s houses simply working on homework or reading, days when you two are out and about running rampant in the city, and days when you’re planning road trips to get out of the city. Whenever you seem to have a bad day, Suga drops everything and marches over to you to make sure you have company and necessary essentials. Sometimes he won’t be able to make it because of volleyball so your other friends take charge, but their care isn’t the same as his. Suga is the team mom, after all.

Your closeness with Suga appears to be the same as with your other guy friends so when the shift occurs, neither of you notice. Suga is first to confess his feelings though and he insists that no matter how you feel about him, he’ll always love you.

OtsuboTaisuke (Kuroko no Basuke): His height and appearance might makehim appear rather intimidating at first, but he’s actually pretty friendly andisn’t that hard to approach. Your talkativeness actually makes it rather easyfor the two of you to get friendlier with each other since there’s always some mundanetopic you can use as conversation fodder. While at first, Otsubo will merely greetyou upon seeing you around the school since that’s the polite thing to do, butafter having a few conversations with you, those casual greetings will turninto longer talks between the two of you. He won’t mind listening to whateverit is you have to say, finding the majority of the topics you decide to bringup to be interesting though sometimes he can’t help but wonder how those sort of topics end up beingchosen. Your politeness and respect towards others definitely is a part of youthat Otsubo finds admirable since that can’t be said about some people. Plus,with how easy it is to get along with you, you’re certainly someone Otsubowants to hang out with more.

While it’s not like the two of you have a lot in common, it’ssimply entertaining being around you and that’s more than enough for Otsubo towant to be friends with you. Though basketball is the main sport he’s into,learning about your interest in extreme sports does intrigue him and prompt himto ask you more about it and that might lead to you inviting him to try it withyou one of these days. He also wouldn’t mind going swimming with you if you’reinterested since that’s a good way to get in some exercise too. If you’reinterested and asks him, Otsubo would totally be up to teaching you or playingbasketball with you too! Since Otsubo is the captain of the basketball team, hehas responsibilities he has to tend to and practices to attend of course, sothere are often days where he can’t spend much time with you. He’d love to hearabout your adventures that you go on with your other friends though, or he’d chastiseyou a bit for lazing around in bed being unproductive but he won’t mean that ina negative way much. It’s also really refreshing how even with your fun-lovingand carefree side, you can be pretty mature when time calls for it. Sometimesbeing the captain will lead to Otsubo feeling rather stressed and it’d be niceif he could talk to you as a way to let off some steam. On the flip side,Otsubo will also be willing to lend you his ear and shoulder when you need it.

It surprises Otsubo how you wear your emotions on yoursleeve and it sort of contrasts with him. Not that he has a hard time showinghis emotions or anything but he just keeps them in check more often. It doesmake seeing how you’re feeling that day easier though but with how sensitiveand emotional you are, it can also be a bad thing since you might end up beinghurt easily. When Otsubo notices that you’re upset or feeling down, he’ll tryhis best to cheer you up. If you need someone to listen to your problems andrants, he’ll lend you an ear. If you just want someone to be there with you, he’llquickly offer to stay with you. He isn’t super affectionate or used to beingaffectionate but if it’ll help make you feel better, he could learn to enjoygiving you cuddles. Otsubo is good at lifting his teammates’ spirits on thecourt and he hopes that works off the court too since it’ll certainly come inhandy in helping you. He might be at a loss regarding what to do when yourbreakdowns occur and will turn to his friends, your friends (if he knows themor have spoken to them before) and probably the internet to help him figure outhow to help you. He wouldn’t mind providing you with the reassurance you needto feel better, as long as it helps you. Your anxiety and depression also hashim stumped since he hasn’t friended people like you before, but Otsubo isdefinitely willing to learn.

Your cheery personality rubs off on Otsubo the more he’saround you and he finds your romantic cheesy side to be quite adorable. Hedoesn’t know much about romance at all and will probably resort to the Internet(after asking Takao once and getting teased in response) to see what sort of “romantic”acts he can do for you to make you smile. Giving you chocolates and flowers arethe first thing he tries, and then if you seem okay with him being close toyou, he’ll attempt holding your hand and giving you hugs. He does feel jealous at times at how closeyou and your childhood friends are but will understand that that’s just howyour relationship with them is and won’t interfere. As long as you’re happy andyou make time to spend with him, that’s all he needs.

Ao no Exorcist - Suguro Ryuji (Bon)

At the beginning, all of your guy friends will protect you from Bon because of hos frightening he appears. You insist that it’s just his face and not much can be done to fix that…but after a while, you realize you really shouldn’t approach him. He’s loud, rash, competitive…yup, you should definitely keep your distance. Despite this, you still run into him in the halls sometimes and he doesn’t pay you attention, so you try to not look at him either. Still, when he accidentally runs into you and makes you drop your supplies, he takes the time to help you pick them up and make sure you’re okay before continuing on his way. Maybe he isn’t so bad after all.

His academic prowess is outstanding and you’re surprised to hear that he’s at the top of his class. Since none of your friends can rival him, you decide to approach Bon and ask him to tutor you in your weaker subjects. He tries to shrug you off by recommending you to another student, but his own friends persuade him to take you on. You can tell he’s serious about the schoolwork so you keep your playfulness down during the tutoring sessions. Afterwards, you do what you can to loosen Bon up by taking him to your favorite stores or on walks to your favorite hiding spots. He’s still uptight and serious during class, but once school is over and no one else is around, he relaxes around you and even though he doesn’t quite admit it, he loves the playful side of you.

In your downtime, the two of you can be found reading a lot. You can’t get Bon to read anything other than bibles and holy scripts, so you read poetry to him in exchange for listening to him recite fatal verses. Bon is capable of keeping up with your shenanigans, which makes up for his lack of talkativeness - he’s a big-mouth, but when it comes to nonsensical things or philosophical subjects, he tends to be quiet. He’s also great at perceiving emotions so he’ll be able to tell if you’re having a bad day or not. He’s still working on comforting you though, so your other friends will have to school him in that department.

Relationships and friendships are pretty much the same to Bon, so his friends have to help spell out his feelings for you. He doesn’t exactly confess and when he does, he stutters and mumbles the words. It doesn’t matter too much to him if you don’t return his feelings…so long he’s able to remain as your friend, he’s happy to be whatever you want him to be.

Date: June 19 2017  Rating: PG Summary: Ed and Taylor spend some time relaxing at Ed’s house and watching The Secret Life of Pets with his cat.

Ed: Ed went into the bathroom and shower before going into his room completely naked and looks over at her where she was in his bed, "You look cozy" he says as he walks to the closet to grab his boxers and sweatpants.He puts the pants on and walked over to his side and Laid down, he pets the little cat next to them and he lays close to her, "You look way better in that shirt than i do"

Taylor: Taylor propped herself up as Ed walked in the room, staring a bit at his freshly showered body. She gave him a soft smile, turning on her back and stretching out on his bed. "I am cozy. Your bed is nice, the shirt is warm and Graham is keeping me company." She told him, giving Graham another scratch on the head. She giggled, shrugging her shoulders a bit. "You'd think I'd look nice in a trash bag if I wore it." She joked.

Ed: He scoots close to her and lifts graham up, "Quit stealing my woman, G" he says to the cat and places him to the side then wraps his arm around her, "I like having you in my bed. Its been weird not having you next to me after that trip" he tells her honestly

Taylor: She let out a laugh as Ed accused Graham for stealing her. She instantly complied when Ed pulled her close, loving the feeling of having him close. "I like having you next to me as much as possible." She told him, showing him a shy smile.

Ed: "You can have me close to you whenever you want" he tells her and snuggles close. He lays there with her for a moment before he quickly turns over and reaches into the side table pulling out a jewelry box that had a white gold pair of earrings with a sapphires that were blue like the ocean. "This is for you" Ed says and smiles

Taylor: "Good to know." She said, nuzzling close to him. She closed her eyes for a moment, feeling completely safe and secure with him by her side. She opened her eyes as Ed moved, giving her a box. She looked at him confused and opened it to reveal gorgeous earrings. "Ed!! These are beautiful." She told him, admiring their blue and gold contrast. "Thank you." She said leaning over to give him a sweet kiss.

Ed: He laughs at her happy reaction, thrilled that she liked them, "Youre welcome" he says and kisses her lips sweetly. He knew ahe didnt know what the gift was for and he thought today was a good time to tell her. "Im sure you dont know but today is a special day" he says

Taylor: Taylor looked at Ed, another look of confusion on her face. She tried to remember if there was anything that was really a milestone in their past friendship that she should've remembered, but she couldn't really think of anything. "Okay, I'm stuck. Why is it special?" She asked, wondering what could've possibly happened that she deserved this beautiful gift.

Ed: Ed sits up in his spot and looks at her with a smile, "On this day, 4 years ago is when I first thought 'wow, I love this girl'" he says and laugjs, "We were were at your house, watching Titanic during a break from tour and you were reciting all the lines and acting out all the parts and I knew that you were it" he explains. "Who would have thought that we would end up here"

Taylor: Taylor listened to Ed's explanation, her heart skipping a beat or two at the confession. She placed her hand on her heart, looking at him with adoration. "Ed..." She said, remembering exactly the day he spoke of. She crawled over to him, wrapping her limbs around him so she was sitting in his lap. "I'm glad that we are here. I'm so happy with you." She told him, kissing his lips again.

Ed: He wraps his arms around her and places a loving kiss on her neck, "I am too. Ive really never been this happy before, youre more than I ever thought was possible"!" He says. He had expected a romance between would be good but he had no idea how good it could be, she was like his missing piece, she made him feel strong and confident and like they could do anything if they were together

Taylor: She felt completely loved and safe in Ed's arms, never wanting that feeling to end. "I hope I make you happy as much as you make me happy. And that's a lot." She told him, smiling sweetly. Taylor and Ed's friendship advancing into a romance was one of the best experiences she's ever had. She knew they were still in their 'honeymoon stage', but she truly couldn't see herself getting tired of having Ed around.

Ed: He nods eagerly, "You do, you really do babe" he says and smiles. The puppy love stage was in full effect for them at this time, they were hot for each other and always wanted to be together but Ed had a feeling that even when thatbwore off that they would still be connected and happy because they had already meshed so well as friends, they were completely comfortable together and knew all there was to know.

Taylor: Taylor hugged him tightly, resting her head on his shoulder. She felt so comfortable with Ed, knowing that she could tell him anything and he would never judge her. That's always something she was nervous about in relationships was that she would have to constantly impress them and turn into someone she wasn't just to please her significant other. She had none of those vibes from Ed, which made her feel completely relaxed. There was no stress, it was all just adoration and respect for the other. "I love you, like a whole lot." She told him, peppering kisses on his neck.

Ed: Ed trusted Taylor and knew she would never judge him or his actions but there were still things he didnt show to her, he didnt want to show her how bad his drinking could be, he had that control and he didnt talk to her about his anxiety and sudden implive behavior because he didnt want her to worry or see him as weak but he thought that at least for now he had it under control. He looked at the girl in his arms and knew that she did adore him and want him and he never wanted that to change, "Hearing that always makes me smile like an idiot, I never thought Id see the day that youd say that to me"

Taylor: Taylor was so open with Ed that there were very few things he didn't know about her. She was sure that they would eventually come up, but she didn't see them as that important at the moment. She smiled widely, feeling proud of herself that she could make her boyfriend smile the way he was in that moment. "I'll say it as many times as you want me too."

Ed: He laughs a bit, "Just one more time" he requests and gives her a squeeze. He loved having her so close to him and sharing a bed with her. "What do you want to do with he rest of the night?" He asks

Taylor: She smiled sweetly, leaning in to give him a long, meaningful kiss. "I love you." She mumbled against his lips. She leaned back a little, taking a moment to think. "Depends on what you have to offer."

Ed: The kiss was sweet and soft but full of passion and love from both of them, he felt so lucky. "Well you did exhast me so I was thinking movies and junk food.. You know, the ed and taylor usual" he says, laughing. "But now we get to do that in bed and half naked" he adds with a laugh

Taylor: Taylor smiled, feeling guilty as charged, but not having any shame in it. "That sounds perfect." She told him, chuckling a bit at this comment. "Very true. There's more comfort that way." She smiled, getting off of Ed's lap to properly lay on the bed.

Ed: He reaches across the bed to grab the remotes, "Go get any snacks and drinks you deem needed, Ill get a movie set up" he says. They had done this routine many times before so it was almost like a tradition for nights in with them.

Taylor: Taylor nodded, getting up from the bed and scurried down the stairs. When she reached Ed's kitchen, she raided his pantry looking for all his different snacks. She grabbed some chips and cookies before going to the refrigerator to grab two waters. She made her way back up the stairs, making sure not to spill anything and walked back into Ed's room to deliver the food. She dropped the goodies on the bed and handed Ed his glass of water. "The land's finest water, sir." She playfully joked before setting her glass on the bedside table and getting into the bed. "What'd you pick?"

Ed: Ed takes the water from her and laughs at her joke, "Thank you, kind lady. It is much appreciated" he was laying on his back, head propped up with the pillows with Graham laying on his stomach. He looked back to the tv screen and shrugs, "Im not sure what to picl, what are you in the mood for?" He asks

Taylor: Taylor got comfortable under the covers, feeling warm and cozy in Ed's bed. "As long as it's not a scary movie, I can watch anything." She told him honestly, opening up the cookies and already taking a few in her hands.

Ed: He nods at her words and settles back, letting her join the cuddling with him and the cats. "Graham said he wanted to watch Life of Pets" he says. Ed loved animated movies, part of his kid at heart thing. He selects the movie and dimmed the bedroom lights. Happy to have such a relaxed night in with her, it was all very domestic.

Taylor: Taylor scooted closer to Ed, wanting to be close to him without disrupting Graham. She smiled at the movie choice, having seen the movie before. It was a nice feeling to be so domestic with him, just the two of them and his cat watching a movie and eating snacks.

Ed: The movie began and Ed smiled, he liked these kind of nights, Ed didnt really like being surrounded by people, it was exhausting and thus demanding drinking and what he considered to be an alter ego almost just to handle and not freak at times but this, just him and the person he knew better than anyone and the calm, this was what he lived for, the calm between the storms. He picked at the snacks while his fingers ran through her hair absent mindedly

Taylor: After a long day, relaxing in bed and watching a movie was always the way that Taylor would unwind and just relax. Having Ed with her though made it feel so much more comfortable. She watched the movie, completely melting when Ed started to play with her hair. "Mm, I love when people play with my hair." She hummed happily, her eyes closing for a second nuzzling into Ed's hand.

Ed: He couldnt help but chuckle a little and smile, thinking she was absolutely adorable. He kept playing with her hair and paid attention to the movie, he had seen it before but it always made him laugh. he lays back and stretches out, hos muscles flexing and the blanket falling from his half naked body as he did

Taylor: Taylor moved closer to Ed, placing her head on his chest without getting in his way as they continued to watch the movie. She took a moment to think about how lucky she was that Ed was interested in her. There were millions of people that he could've chosen but he wanted her and treated her basically like a princess. She was sad that he had to leave for tour soon but knew that he couldn't let all those people down just for her. So she enjoyed the time spent with him, giving her attention to him as much as she could before he had to leave.

Ed: Leaving for tour the following week would suck, the relationship had just started and they already had to be apart and it was sad, he would miss her a lot but knew that they would be texting and calling as much as they could. He leans over, putting his hand under her chin and bringing her gaze up before he places a soft kiss to her lips, not wanting to waste a second with her

Taylor: It was bittersweet that Ed had to tour the country soon, Taylor knew all about that feeling. But she knew that in the long run, it was all worth it. She was pulled out of her thoughts when Ed pulled her lips to his in a delicate kiss. She kissed him back, it almost being a reflex with how much they had done it. She loved kissing him because each time it sent butterflies to her stomach.

Ed: Ed had spent years thinking he would never get a chance to Kiss her like this and now that he was able to he just couldn't keep himself from doing it all the time. He kept the kiss going, his hand on her bare leg, wanted her close to him and never wanting her away from him

Taylor: There was so much love and coziness evry time the couple kissed. It was so new, but Taylor felt no shame nor awkwardness between them. They still acted silly when they were together, but now there was an added flare of being completely smitten with each other. She kept kissing him, her hand going to rest on his neck to keep him close. The kiss was soft but so special, her focus drawn to him.

Ed: He always made it a point to kiss Taylor in a way that shows that he is hers and that she was all he wanted, he didnt want her to have any doubt in his mind that he was different then the others had been, he would do anything for her. Ed turns more toward her and this causes Graham to jump up off of him and Ed pulls back, laughing, "Guess Graham didnt wanna be the third wheel any longer" he says, his lips cenitmenters from hers

Taylor: Taylor wanted Ed to know how much she cared about him with everything she did. She wanted him to feel the same love that she received from him. As they continued kissing, Taylor felt her head spin a bit as she let herself melt into it. She laughed along with Ed, hearing Graham jump off the bed. "Can you blame him? We're such a touchy couple." She smiled.

Ed: Ed laughs, "We are but can you blame us, I mean I missed out on a lot of time where we could have been doing this" he says and shrugs, "I think hes a little too dramatic"

Taylor: Taylor shook her head, "We both missed out, so Graham will get over it." She smiled, entangling her legs with Ed's. Their faces were only an inch or two apart, Taylor taking the time to admire Ed's features before kissing him again.

Ed: He looked into her eyes for a moment and felt himself fall in love all over again, hearing her words about her feeling ahe missed out on being with him for longer made his heart swell and he accepted the kiss, deepening it before he pulls back, playfully biting her lip then putting his forehead to hers, "Im so glad youre here with me"

Taylor: She felt that warm fuzzy feeling that people talked about whenever Ed was with her. She would always wonder what they could've been if they didn't meet when they were both in relationship before and now that she was living in the midst of it, she was overjoyed. She grinned at Ed after he bit her lip, looking at him fondly. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Ed: He didnt like thinking about all they missed out on and how they almost missed out on each other, he was just happy that he had her now. He smiles at her words, "Me either" he says and looks back at her adoringly, "I am so in love with you, Taylor"

Taylor: Taylor was appreciative of the past but she was living for the present because it was everything she could've wanted. A joyful tingle went through her body at Ed's words, a glowing smile appearing on her face. "I'm in love with you too." She told him, meaning every single word.

Ed: He smiles sweetly and kisses her again before cuddling close and taking her back in his arms. "This is the best way to spend the end of the night"

Taylor: She smiled, taking one of his hands into hers and kissing his nose quickly. "I agree."

Music: Genres: rap, r&b & hip hop (mainly) but I also like rock, some pop, classical…I’m pretty open to any type of music those are just the genres I listen to most often when I’m on the go!

Movies: I’m honestly not much of a movie person, I just don’t have the patience to sit for a long period of time lol

But I loveee harry potter, action movies, comedy movies & scary movies…but if you really think I should see a certain movie I just might see it if u convince me enough lol

Books: As far as genres go I just love books in a series..but if it has anything to do with vampires ill scream, I don’t like romance novels either
