I don’t know if you’ve gotten this ask already but, for your Minecraft tmnt au, endermen ARE able to pickup TNT, just not light it, and i thought that maybe Donnie would try to teach his fellow endermen how to, because why only carry explosives when you can also light them, anyways, just a thing I thought you might like drawing (only if you want and have time to of course)

Ever since I was itty bitty I’ve had an extreme love for the Aether mod in Minecraft. It was such a pretty place and shaped a lot of things about me and my aesthetics (You see my banner? My own dimension is styled after the Aether!)
I’ve posted about another character in this story once, but I’ve been working for the past three years on this story that has my own version of the Aether dimension and it’s based around aethermen, the Aether variant of endermen.
These characters I show you now are historical figures in aetherman history! I’ve been procrastinating on drawing them for a long time, but I finally did it and I may as well show it here! I’d love to post more about this story in the future, I draw and develop it often and I’d like to one day tell it wether that be through drawings or writing C:
Enjoy the great heroes of the aethermen! They get fancy special cloaks soon huhu
Tumblr media
I may as well give some extra information on these lovely heroes!
SoulWhisper SoulWhisper, the yellow and purple fella you see there, is considered the first great hero, blessed by god to protect their kind from Blight. He was blessed with a bow that could defeat a blight-thing instantly and empowered him when he held it. He was known to be a caring and calm individual who would sacrifice himself for the sake of his kind. That promise was eventually fulfilled, and his leader made sure his name would be remembered for eons. WildNova WildNova was a brash and short-tempered aetherman, unusual behavior for a normally calm and quiet species. He ended up being a powerhouse in battles against valkyries and blight-things seemed to never even touch him. This power increased tenfold when he recieved his own holy weapon. The scrolls are vague about how he was extinguished, but most assume he went down in battle, just as the blessed hero before him. ShimmeringDaze ShimmeringDaze was known as a social glitterwing, who loved glitterwings. So much so that she changed her appearance to match one and even her own weapon was styled after one. She was gentle and nurturing, always looking after others before herself and fell in battle fighting for the good of all aethermen with a steely determination and a pearl that shone with all the love in the sky. PrismPop PrismPop was a bright and excitable aetherman who could cheer up anyone's gloomy day. They were kept out of battles when they received their holy weapon, but they didn't seem to mind. They instead focused on helping the city, constructing grand libraries and teaching the young and even helping their leader with his duties (even though they DEFINITELY could not do them well...). Their leader kept him close and protected until tragedy struck during a battle on the outskirts of the city and PrismPop's attempt to help ended with his passing.
Hmm... This scroll isn't very detailed on the lives of these heroes. I guess there's not much room on a scroll to begin with... Maybe there's scrolls specific to them somewhere. We'll find it eventually, I'm sure.

How is Scott different after he becomes a Speaker? Are there any physical changes or is it all mental?
Right now, I think that Scott’s physical changes really only occur when using his powers. When Scott uses his Speaker powers, one of the main things is that turquoise light projects out his mouth. I could also see him being able to open his mouth abnormally wide(think like endermen, but I’m mostly referring to the fanart depictions where the sides of the mouth tear to open wider). Summoning more mouths is definitely one of them, I also think this could happen with Watchers and Listeners where they can summon more eyes and ears.
Little tangent but I thought it’d be cool to have a flying creature associated with each being. Birds for Watchers because Grian is a Watcher and is associated with birds. Bats for Listeners because bats got big ears and they rely on echo location and their hearing while their eyesight is poor. And the only thing I could think for Speakers are bugs(I couldn’t really think of any other flying animals). Cicadas are very loud but I don’t want to draw Scott as a cicada.
Other physical changes could maybe be his hearing and eyesight sometimes give out on him with all the energy for his senses being prioritized to his voice. I say this because non human Speakers are never seen with eyes or ears. This would carry on with my depictions of the other beings. Watchers will never be seen with mouths or ears and Listeners will never seen with eyes or mouths
For mental changes, most of it would not be the fact he’s a Speaker and more he’s around the Speakers all the time, their voices always in his ears. Because Speakers have so much influence on others, they could convince Scott to go too far and hurt his relationships or reputation with the other players. Revert him to Double Life Scott if that makes any sense.
Thank you for the question! Sorry my answer is kinda lengthy.

on the whole disabled scar discussion and coming from someone who's chronically ill and a fellow wheeler,
fully agree that it's okay to change the disability, especially considering that scar himself has been general with his conditions (etc not giving a specific disorder)
and it's so important for people to make c!Scar physically disabled too imo. it's so annoying watching the narrative of "his character isn't disabled!" and then excusing it for oh disabilities are hard to draw/write, wheelchairs are difficult to include, tubes are hard to write
then... learn?
if you want to write a character who happens to be disabled, you don't just throw yourself in. you learn how it works and hear others perspectives.
like i personally project a LOT when i write Scar, i'll write his experiences to mirror my own and even then i do a lot of research to ensure i'm not misrepresenting. i find no issue with people doing the same or taking creative liberty when it comes to "cc! scar has a nmd but when i write c!scar he's a potsie with comorbid disorders"
and imo he should always be a wheelchair user, whether ambulatory or not. it's so ??? to make a character who is a non-ambulatory wc user suddenly only need a cane (many even doing it where he only needs it every now and then). it's not hard to make the minecraft world seem accessible/possible for someone physically disabled when the same minecraft world has shit like watchers, dragons, endermen. like brother if you can write about grian having avian instincts then you can write(+draw! as a writer i'm probably focussing on that side a bit much) about disabilities+experiences that are well documented/taught on
i am hARD rambling here but i'm just grateful this shit is being discussed bc this community is riddled with ableism (and fatphobia etc)
I really appreciate your perspective! Thank you!
I'm an ambulatory cane user so I'm always eager to hear from wheelchair users on their perspectives. I worry sometimes that I'm being a bit too dramatic on this, but it's really good to hear your opinion on the matter too!!
tldr

A new Delta reference!!! It's a new year and my main minecraft ocs are all officially one year old now!!! Figured it was time to update Delta's ref since they needed their anatomy and color fixed, though not much of the design had that much done to it, just fixed up to look more appealing!
Her design is how I go about drawing endermen as a base, but her eyes are special as to show off how they are not a naturally born enderman but a spellborn ender!! She was created through magic and thus, doesn't emote. However, she is a sort of Demi-god with her powers and such. she can use dragons breath lol!!! They're so quirky!!!!
I love Delta, it's a shame I never draw her, but I hope you enjoy :0) I'm gonna try and upload some sketches and such as I get through this semester in school, but the summer will most likely be busy since im graduating soon!!!
but yay happy birthday to all my main minecraft ocs they're all a year old :0)))

So.. uh- hm.. @murkystarlight you said you would be interested in.. u know.. taking a look at my OC and I- uh.. hope you don't mind me-
Enough with cringe intro, let's go and see this dumbass! (New from gacha cause I was too lazy too draw anything besides the sword)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guy with a sword.
I'm gonna ramble abt him a bit here, don't mind me a lot.
So, this muffin's names is Alex (how original) and he's 26 y.o.
He has parents! Adoptive, but very caring pair of villagers. Dad Feron and papa Shum! Feron works as blacksmith while Shum is and archer.
He was taught hoe to fight from the childhood, but didn't really like the idea to be and archer, so instead he choose to be a swrodsman (he still pretty good at aiming, he just don't like it.)
He has a cat named Puffy! But he left him at his parents house to avoid hurting poor guy. He also has this untamed wold I was talking about. He called him Tami, and even though the wold understands it's his named, he usually chooses not it react. The wold is pretty impudent tbh. He still loves him though!
He doesn't really have any friends, since he's more of a "I'm going to learn everything I can the way I want since it's way more interesting then trying to socialize anyway." His family are his friends!
Since he's the only human in their village, he usually protects it from mobs and rouges!
His favourite member of the Old Order of The Stone is Gabriel! (no way are you surprised?)
His favourite member from the New Order of The Stone us Axel! (he loves explosions and Magnus is his second favourite so..)
His dad made the sword for him! But in a way "You get all the materials you want by yourself. No trading, no stealing, only mining. That way you'll learn how hard it is."
And he did! He got the materials and made the design himself! The whole sword is from iron, meanwhile the Eye of Ender is made of glass, and the green part that represents creeper contains layer of fur. And ofc it's supposed to represent each mob: bone for the skeleton, web for spiders, Eye of Ender for endermen and whatever it is the green for creeper!
He loves music! And music discs! He has almost full collection of them.
Doesn't like beetroot though.. ugh..
I think that's enough of me rambling abt silly guy for now.

Naturalized Etho design sketch for my thing. I figure totems and maybe some armor can be jewelry but I'm working on that, hence the totem armband. More rambles under the cut.
I'm pondering about modded armor that the narturalized Hermits might be able to wear and I think that enchanted jewelry could be pretty flexible with connecting the minecraft mechanics to how Naruto's world works. Impulse is a gem merchant outside of Hermittown if you remember all the way back to chapter 1 and I think it'd be cool if I could tie that back in to minecraft logic. Plus it would mesh better with locations I've described like the marble bridge- what if the gems light up or ward away endermen or protect carved details from the elements? As of now Kakashi has no explanation for the opulence and with how capitalistic Hermits can be I need a reason for them to not have tanked the economy of the elemental nations. So the gems need to have some kind of function beyond tool making.
If you guys saw the (now kinda outdated) Grian design then you might have noticed that the workgloves are shorter... a lot shorter. I'm debating glove lengths and drew them short here but I'm considering giving Etho long gloves. Notice the marring on his arm- that's a redstone burn. My thinking is that redstone is dangerous to non-minecraft entity peeps and so the naturalized Hermits that work with redstone regularly would have larger, thicker work gloves to protect their hands and arms. I am toying with the idea of having gems in the gloves. I'm not sure what they'd do yet but gem gloves feel very modded minecraft to me.
The belt is pretty thick... but that feels minecrafty to me and I hate drawing the edges of well fitted shirts. So thick leather belt. The sticks with the gems in the tops (and the bottoms) are the modded tools (they are collapsible and the gems correspond to the material the tool/weapon is made of) and the book is basically an inventory, but can store more. The naturalized hermits may not be minecrafters at the minute but that's not going to stop them from emulating their normal selves to the best of their abilities.
I've been going back and forth on long v short hair designs for Etho and I've narrowed the designs down to two different possibilities... but one is still long and one is still short (this one actually). Ugh. I'm working on fleshing it out.
Etho doesn't have a red eye, he's got a "blind" eye. Basically with the mods of the Naruto world the replacement eye looks physically blind but is functionally a regular eye. They haven't figured out/haven't looked into how to change its color (yet). Why does he have a replacement eye? Well, that'd be because Etho had two eyes after being naturalized, the world recognized that's not what the real Etho looks like and put him in a position to get it "fixed" (and the same is true of other traits in this universe, like Scar's scars which were gained in the same event actually).
Similarly to the glove dilemma I'm trying to see if I can work in patterns onto the Hermit's sleeveless shirt things. But as I look into Naruto's design choices and such it seems increasingly unlikely; it'd be too distinct in-world. Originally Etho had a creeper-face pattern on his shirt.
But I am giving every naturalized Hermit ugly leather boots, no way around that.
Etho is 32 here and I want him to be just slightly taller or shorter than Kakashi... I haven't decided which.

Some cut pages from this comic. Though the basic idea is still the same and some of the dialogue remains, I am redoing these due to small edits and a different artistic approach.
The cover MAY actually be kept, as I’m rather proud of it, but it’s more likely that I’ll remake it.
In this draft of the story, Steve’s dim-wittedness was due to him being a little too cocky, whereas in the current version it’s much more due to his naivety. Steve and Creepy were also originally thieves, and had been for 90% of this story’s development, but with a heavy heart I had to change it to fit the story I wanted to tell. It was mostly a bummer because I liked the conversation between Steve and Creepy at the beginning, already establishing that Creepy is careful and likes to play the long game whereas Steve rushes into things a little too quickly, but I think the change will have been worth it.
I’m not sure how people will feel about my Creeper designs? I think overall Creepers and Endermen have changed the most, but Creepers still win that comparison by a long shot. I tried to make them more lizardlike, and gave them a tail to kind of compliment that (and because I think they’d need it for balance).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even OLDER versions under the cut!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do actually like the above version of the prologue (you can read the official one here!) but it was too much of an info dump. Most of the lore has stayed the same, though, and I do actually like the black/white parallel shots, it just didn’t make the cut, especially after I ditched the vaguely-realistic approach. It also talked a lot about random worldbuilding tangents (like illagers and such) that weren’t important for the story while not at all detailing the brothers’ story.
Tumblr media
Last but not least we have this monstrosity! I hated (and still hate) drawing backgrounds, so I wanted to build the settings in Minecraft and use them as the backdrops, but I didn’t like the result….and look at this art! It’s not the worst, but the shading is terrible….and the creeper design just wasn’t super appealing to me. I feel like the current design is a little better at being likable to the reader but off-putting to the in-universe characters. Also I totally whitewashed Steve. My biggest mistake here was the shading, although I hadn’t quite mastered lineless art either.
It’s far from the worst art I have of them (again, I’ve had these characters since before fourth grade) but definitel6 not something I’m proud of.

Day 3 of @peerpressureweek I got real excited about this one lads
Cultural differences and language barriers my beloveds <3
”Ender prince,” the particles that hovered on the edges of his vision whispered. ”We may have found a solution.”
“Have you now?” he muttered, voice pitched low and distracted as he surveyed The End. The dragon was still keeping the main portal locked away beneath her wings, stranding thousands if not tens of thousands in the Nether and the Overworld. Only Ranboo, being the prince, and a handful of other particularly powerful Endermen could make the jump without the portal open. Well. Most Endermen could make the jump out. It was making the jump back in that posed the problem.
More than that, she thought herself a tyrant, making demands none of them could deny, for her overwhelming strength. She ate too much. Stored too much of her energy in those deadly crystals, the ones that none could break without risking damage to their Pearls. Even if they could somehow band together and wound her, she’d just draw on those energy reserves to heal herself, and she’d scorch and eat them all long before they managed to bleed the crystals dry.
But a solution. That had Ranboo’s ear.
”In the Nether—” Ranboo pulled a face, which had the particles laughing at him immediately. He hated the Nether. ”Yes, in the Nether, our Ender prince. There is a Piglin king. He is strong. Stronger than the dragon. His bastion wants to expand, but a clade of Endermen block the Piglins’ path most violently."
Ranboo perked. “So I go, order the Endermen to back down, and tell the Piglin king that if he kills the dragon, they will leave his territory entirely.”
The particles made a pleasant hum. They warned him again of danger, but yes. Ranboo knew. If he was strong enough to kill the dragon, he was more than strong enough to pose a serious threat to Ranboo’s life. Heck, if the particles were right, he’d might even be strong enough to kill the clade that blocked his path. Why didn’t he try? Ranboo had never heard of a Piglin being overly cautious.
Well, either way, Ranboo was thankful for it. Reincarnation might return the dead Endermen’s Pearls to The End, but nobody liked dying, and a peaceful, mutually beneficial resolution to the conflict was more than welcome. He donned his elytrian cloak, put chorus fruit and weapons in one shulker box, three diamonds in another, and closed his eyes and breathed.
Nether.
He opened his eyes, his Pearl thrumming behind his diaphragm, and scrunched his nose at the oppressive heat.
“I have arrived in the Nether; which way do I go?” he asked his particles, and they led him on a long and frankly confusing journey, during which he mentally recited what he was going to say. His path bottomed out in a stretch of warped biome, where he was promptly attacked by a hoglin. Okay, maybe he should’ve kept his weapons out, and only put them away after he’d reached the bastion. Shows of peace didn’t do him much good with wild animals.
But he dropped the hoglin carcass into the shulker box with the diamonds and called out for all Endermen in the area to come to him. Being their prince, they didn’t have much choice but to obey, though all seemed quite happy to see him.
“Are you alright?”
“Why are you here?”
“Are we able to go home yet?”
“Are we able to go home soon?”
“How can we help you?”
“What are you doing?”
Ranboo raised his hands, his tail flicking in a smile. “I am here to negotiate with the Piglin king that’s giving you trouble. Please refrain from attacking any Piglins unless they attack you first, at least until I say otherwise.”
All gathered Endermen bobbed their tails in a nod, and Ranboo flicked another smile at them. “Have any of you picked up blocks with gold in them? I hear Piglins like those; I can add them to my gift if you have any.”
So in the shulker Ranboo had three diamonds, a hoglin corpse, and two blocks of gold nuggets. Perfect gift, honestly. “I will return with the verdict. Stay away from the bastion for now.”
He warped to the bastion, the Piglin guards immediately on alert, but Ranboo made a show of dropping his weapons into his shulker, and then set the second shulker down between them.
“Please take this to your king. It is a gift from me. I would like to speak with him.” Nailed it.
They regarded him with open hostility and wariness, looking at his face (but Ranboo did not attack, despite their baiting him to do so). One guard kept a crossbow trained on him, the other tapped the box open like it might explode when he did. But, seemingly content with its contents, the guard nodded at the other with a grunt and took the box in.
Ranboo stayed right where he was, and he and the guard pointing the crossbow at him had an honestly wonderful interaction. The guard’s tail kept flicking and twitching, and so Ranboo flicked his own smiles back in kind. What a friendly guard! Ranboo was expecting them to be far more hostile, for their conflict with the nearby clade! How nice :).
The bastion’s main gate opened once more and a group of Piglins poured out, their king at their center. Ranboo certainly thought he was king, his hands had golden rings on nearly every finger, and his body language spoke of confidence.
“Piglin king,” Ranboo greeted, giving another friendly flick of his tail. Here’s hoping the king was as personable as the guard, whose tail was practically wagging, now.
“Enderman. I thank you for your gift. You wanted to speak with me?”
“My Pigspeak is rarely practiced. Forgive me if I misspeak.” Ough, Ranboo was pretty sure that was the word. Pigspeak was a tough language, their sentences structured differently than Voidtongue, but Ranboo wanted the dragon dead more than he wanted to avoid social interaction with a member of a different species in a language he barely knew. “I have a problem. You have a problem with my Endermen. I would like us to,” Ranboo’s tail lashed in a frown, searching for the right words.
“Make amends?”
His tail and ears flicked up. “Yes! Amends. I will help your problem with my Endermen. You will help with my problem.”
“Ah, workin’ together then.”
Another issue was that Ranboo had learned Pigspeak with Ender tutors. The accent was… rough, to translate around.
“Workin’ together, yes. Together amends?”
“Right.” The Piglin king’s eyes were sharp. “What are you proposin’?”
Ranboo’s tail lashed in another frown, his eyes pinched around the edges. “Workin’ together is easier if you do not staring at my face,” he hissed, and tried not to give in to his urge to deathcall about it. That would summon all the nearby Endermen, and he wanted to prevent a bloodbath, not start one.
“A Piglin looks his opponent in the eye,” stated the king.
“We are not opponent! We are together amends!” Ranboo all but shouted, and mercifully the eyes did leave his face, the king now looking amongst his entourage.
“We aren’t,” he thankfully agreed, his gaze now settled somewhere around Ranboo’s neck, which was a little intolerable but much better than his face. “Come inside. We can discuss this further privately.”
Ranboo strode forward and pretended that he was not bothered by being encased in blackstone and surrounded by Piglins. He was the prince. He could kill a Piglin easily enough, and teleport away when their numbers overpowered him. Even so, it was easier when he and the king settled into a small, clean, and well furnished room. Well. Small in terms of height, the size of the room was about average but Ranboo had to stoop.
“For Piglins, not makin’ eye contact means you’re a coward and a weaklin’. I couldn’t keep havin’ this conversation with you out front; I’d lose face.”
Ranboo desperately tried to keep up with his accent and the confusing terms he was using as he took his seat. “Your face… will be torn off you?” Ranboo asked. That seemed a dire consequence for not doing something that no reasonable species would ever do in the first place.
“Er, no. It means they’d stop respectin’ me as much.”
Then why not just say that? Ranboo huffed, his tail lashing with agitation, but he only let it lash once. He was being polite. Well mannered. He was ignoring that Piglins had some terminal fucking issue with not saying what they meant. No, no, rude thoughts, he was being polite he was being polite.
“Thank you for conversation with me in here,” he said instead, “I have asked my Endermen do not attacking your bastion already. They are waiting for me. If you help me, they are leaving here total.” Ranboo’s tail lashed with a frown. No, that wasn’t the right way to say that. “They are leaving here entire? Entire…”
“Entirely.”
“Leaving entirely.”
“And you’re some kind of big hotshot who can make that kinda call?”
Call? Hm. He supposed he had called them to him. “I am Ranboo, prince of The End.”
That seemed to give the Piglin king pause. He leaned back in his chair, and dipped his head. Ranboo was pretty sure that this was a sign of respect? Endermen’s heads didn’t really move much, except to look at things. It involved him removing his eyes from anywhere near Ranboo’s face, so he would go ahead and assume that meant it was a respectful gesture.
“I am Technoblade, king of this bastion. What do you need from me?”
“Slay the dragon.”
The Piglin king did not move for a very long moment. Ranboo was content to sit in the silence while his thoughts moved; such things were commonplace in Ender conversation.
“Heh?!”
Oh, maybe Ranboo had used the wrong word. “Kill? Kill the dragon. Dragon stop aliving.” No, wait, that wasn’t a word—right? Ranboo was pretty sure that was not actually a word.
“I, yeah, okay, I got that, actually, but you want me to?”
“Yes.”
“Can’t you, I don’t know, do it yourself?”
“No. You know the game Fruit, Seed, Stone?”
“I’m… not familiar, no.”
“Fruit defeats seed, because without fruit, seed does not have energy to grow. Seed defeats stone, because stone cracked open by seed–” he didn’t know the word for germinating in Pigspeak, “growing. Stone defeats fruit, it can… fruit open.” Ranboo mimicked the act of bashing a rock against a chorus fruit to open it. “Each weak to one opponent and strong to other.”
“And this is like that? The dragon’s strong against Endermen, but weak against Piglins?”
“Yes! You understand.”
Technoblade sighed and pushed his ringed fingers through his hair, head tilted back towards the low ceiling. “What happens if I don’t agree?”
Ranboo’s tail waved in a shrug. “My Endermen cannot leave. The dragon locked The End. She guards it. They cannot go home. I told my Endermen do not attacking your bastion. They will not. But they cannot leave.”
Technoblade’s head bobbed forwards and backwards, which was a very strange motion Ranboo couldn’t decipher in the slightest. “Right. But if I kill the dragon, that frees The End, and if I unlock The End, they’ll go home with you.”
“Yes.”
“And we can send our hunting parties out to forage mushrooms and kill hoglins that way without issue, once they’re gone.”
“Yes.”
“What makes Endermen so weak against the dragon, anyway? She stare at you too hard?”
“Fire,” Ranboo said, stone serious. “Her breath deadly to Piglins, yes, but her breath very deadly to Endermen. I can,” he mimicked bashing again, “Piglin with my hands until Piglin dead, but I cannot punch fire, and I cannot reach her when she flying.”
Technoblade huffed out a laugh, and sat forward again, extending a hand. “Fine. I play pest control for you, you get your people outta my backyard.”
Ranboo’s tail flicked in a smile at Technoblade’s outstretched hand, but he didn’t have any block to put in it. Oh well. He pulled up a block of the blackstone floor and placed it in Technoblade’s palm, happily leaving his own hands on the brick.
“Yes! I am happy you together amends with me.”
Technoblade laughed again, and set the blackstone back where Ranboo had pulled it up from. “Sounds good. But you gotta either let me teach you better Pigspeak, or teach me your language. Listenin’ to you talk is makin’ my ears bleed.”
Ranboo’s tail lashed with a concerned frown, his head dipping this way and that to examine the king’s ears.
“Er, ah, no, not literally bleedin’, it’s a figure of speech.”
Ah, more Piglin nonsense. “I will teach you Voidspeak, but you must saying what you are meaning.”
Technoblade snorted. “Fair enough. I look forward to workin’ with you, Ranboo.”
And Ranboo’s tail flicked with a smile as he agreed.

Minecraft rottmnt au?? Oh please tell more
-☆staranon☆
Ok now that I’m actually confronted with the task of putting my thoughts to print I’m drawing a bit of a blank, but I’ll try and ramble about some of it here! (thank you so much for the ask!!!)
The gist is, through mystic mishap (Mikey trying to save him from the prison dimension) Leo is sent hurtling through dimensions to Minecraft. It’s a silly little doodle au I made up after playing Minecraft a few days too many.
Leo, once thrown into the world, is left injured and alone without any means of escaping. So he’s forced to travel aimlessly, searching for any information as to how to get home. He finds strange structures that sometimes contain more information about the world and what had happened before. (Kraang invasion)
Tumblr media
This all takes place hundreds of years after the kraang had been evicted from the world so we’re following Leo as he discovers the after-effects of wide scale kraang takeover on a world that defeated them.
Creepers are actually the last surviving “kraang” left on Minecraft, save for a few exceptions we’re still ironing out. They are both self destructive and green due to a fungus based bioweapon the “old ones” (those who fought the Kraang before) used in the war.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Zombies are also an unintended side affect of this)
They kinda plague Leo specifically because I feel like it would be funny (traumatising). They’re pretty rare normally but he seems to attract them for some reason.
There’s a bunch of other stuff we created as well, like the kinda history of the villager and illagers (the villagers live in a kind of isolated cult society) and the political connections between the different old-one societies and why each of them individually fell to the Kraang or joined together.
In all honesty I’m bad at writing story elements, or character writing. likelyhood is I’m not gonna do much with this au aside from doodles maybe every now and then.
Tumblr media
If I was to outline a kind of story it’d be how he goes from structure to structure discovering more about the stories of those who all died during the war against the kraang whilst trying to track down more information about “the portal”.
Obviously there’s several portals in minecraft so he gets mislead into believing a portal to the nether could be a portal home, and that could lead to a certain amount of angst.
He would eventually find a way home, probably after defeating the ender dragon (it’s corrupted by the kraang)
Some facts about the dragon and the endermen:
The endermen have a kind of cryptid, assumed benevolent vibe to them in this. No one really knows their objectives aside from them trying to save(?) the dragon, which is a kind of god in this world.
The endermen are revered as a kind of holy figure due to their connections to the dragon.
The dragon works like a kind of phoenix but nobody knows this, unless the endermen do but no one knows what the endermen know or don’t know.
The dragons breath is literally the dragon dying kraang style™️ it’s great 👍
The dragon is stuck in a kind of half-death because of the kraang so it’s eternally suffering lol
Also the villagers mistakenly believe Leo to be some kind of enderman equivalent due to his portalling, and worship him accordingly, as seen in this post here
Some other facts:
A lot of the old ones religions were focused heavily on life and death and the cycle of decay (the purity or lack thereof depending on the culture) due to the fact skeletons have always just. Existed.
There is more lore about the specific beliefs of each about the life and death thing but I’ve forgotten them and will have to ask my sibling about it again
Skeletons were able to become passive but only due to religious practices of one of the old-one societies (the desert peoples)
All of them added the dragon somewhere in these religions but how exactly the dragon played a role in them was different depending on the religion and was subject to many debates (+ wars)
High-tech-kinda Machinery and magic exist. The ins and outs of both are unclear (Each society were more or less involved in the practices of either )
The underwater temples (and the underwater peoples) were extremely technologically advanced. Arguably the most advanced of all the old ones. They didn’t believe in the standard respect for the cycles of life and death and the practices surrounding the skeletons but they had their own beliefs and culture separate to the rest of the old ones.
The underwater ppl did body modding with copper and technology. Think underwater steampunk. You get me. Their zombies reflect this.
Mushroom islands are like nuclear wastelands but from mushroom bio weaponry
Mooshrooms are the only things that can survive on those islands anymore
They are like the zombies but better (somehow managed to reach complete symbiosis with the fungus. Unclear how exactly??)
Oh yea the dragon lives on the moon but the moon has an atmosphere so it’s fine
The kraang were all eviscerated by a machine created by the old ones. The only remaining kraang are those who were too far altered to be recognised as fully kraang anymore (creepers) and therefore managed to avoid whatever the old ones machine did, or were protected by plot (the dragon corruption).
The deep dark has lore and Leo is definitely gonna explore it in his search to find a way home.

Hey, I saw your post asking us to gush about minecraft ocs and…ok, so, I have a lot. Partly because details of my ocs tie into the world I made for them, and mostly because I’ve been working on this for 3 and a half years and there’s a lot to tell.
Anyways, my main oc, Hannah, is from the real world and was dragged into the realm of Minecraft. It turns out that there are four kingdoms in this world and three out of the four kingdoms believe in a religious prophecy that entails that a tyrant will rise from one of the kingdoms, but a warrior will return to vanquish them. They believe Hannah to be this warrior, but Hannah doesn’t feel like she is. Unfortunately for her, the only way for her to get back is to go through the same portal that she came in from, and the only way to get the portal to reactivate is to gather the missing corner pieces from each of the four kingdoms. Throughout her journey, Hannah makes friends and allies, all while learning the rules of the server she’s in and how Minecraft works.
Oh yeah, the four kingdoms here are:
Kinerfall: A kingdom for the other players on the server. They see the world as more of an in-depth roleplay thing. Ruled by Queen Amara, who is also from the real world.
Weyforlosa: A kingdom for mobs. They are currently in an active war with Kinerfall because their ruler, King Coveris, used to date Queen Amara, but they split because they each thought that the other was going to be the tyrant.
Lavail: The Nether kingdom. They usually don’t believe in the prophecy or the religion the other kingdoms follow called Avianity. Ruled by King Hesil.
Vaniscar: The End kingdom. Currently the people there are a bit on edge because their recently crowned king, King Afias, has a bit of a checkered past, but he’s what they have for now.
Here’s a drawing of the rulers of those kingdoms btw:
Tumblr media
Throughout the story, Hannah makes friends with some mobs that decide to tag along with her, pictured here:
Tumblr media
Lonnie is a witch’s experiment that came to life as a slime. She loves adventures and knows how to brew potions.
Isador used to be a wandering trader, but he got turned into an evoker after being captured during a raid. He breaks free from the pillager’s side after meeting Hannah.
Dilou is a part of the royal guard for Lavail. He’s never been outside of the Nether before, so the adventure he goes on with the team is full of new surprises.
Evelyn has it out for King Afias after he wronged her in such a way that it got her banished from Vaniscar.
Anyways, sorry I rambled for so long. I just have a lot to say about this world…wait, I didn’t even tell you its name.
The world is called Avion. As such, the story is called Tale of Avion.
That’s all. Take care. Stay determined <3
Tumblr media
This is me reading this btw^^^
Thank you for sharing!!! Your drawings rule, I love the way you draw endermen especially (you get the proportions just right!!) Also never apologize for rambling about it, especially when you've been asked to do so! I appreciate it!!
As for Kinerfall, all of the players there see it as a roleplay sort of thing (and at least Amara is an irl person, though idk if the others are as well)... would they ever want to return to the real world, do they have access to do so, or are they mostly just in-game players? Is Amara an exception in this right, like Hannah is?
Also even if Hannah isn't the real hero the rest of the kingdoms make her out to be, she still seems to be uniting them in a way! Getting a bunch of mobs together from different corners of the world towards a common force (and getting to understand where each is coming from) is very valuable!
For kingdoms, are they/have they ever been on good terms? Do they have agreements or treaties between one another to keep the peace, is it uneasy, or are there a lot of wars happening? In my head I feel that Kinerfall wouldn't get along with a lot of the kingdoms (being that players typically hunt mobs for resources/sport/etc.), but I have little knowledge about it as of yet so I'd love to hear :)
I ask a lot of questions because I'm curious, so sorry if the wall of text is a little intimidating! I just love the worldbuilding!! As you know, my nether fascination is not very sane of any human being, but I also love exploring how in-game mechanics might work in a story-- things like using your inventory, for instance, or how totems of undying feel to use, if applicable in the AU. Like-- for the end kingdom, what is their main material? Like what are Afias' clothes/armor made of? Do they have materials in the end we're not able to see in game, or do they trade with other kingdoms? Do they eat chorus fruit? Do endermen need to eat at all? How do alliances work out between them all? How do the mobs keep from burning during the day? Do they have any magic that helps? Charms, amulets, totems? Do kingdoms have to compromise sometimes (like players would need to have a meeting with the mobs at night, to prevent them from burning up, in lieu of being able to see all that comfortably?)
ALSO stay determined? A fellow UTDR enjoyer? Huzzah! This is coming from someone who wears a LOT of stripes and now has a love for sweaters after allowing it to shape my life a while back lol
Anyways. Lots of questions, I'm inherently curious, what can I say? Long story short. I love your characters I'm looking directly at them!!!! Thank you for sharing with the class :D

Do you get along with the other inhabitants of the world?
'Depends? As you players call them - Hostile mobs? Yeah, these guys are avoiding me for some reason. Especially skeletons and zombies with drowned they just can't stand my presence. Spiders, ghasts, and endermen are fine with me being around tho. But my favorites are sniffers, allays, squids and glow squids, creepers, and cats. These are friendly :D I even have a sniffer at my home. He's not tamed or anything - I hatched him from an egg I once found, so I think he counts this place as his home too. I let him roam outside by opening the gate before I go to sleep. He always comes back in the morning and even brings some glow berries. His name is Steven'
Tumblr media
*(I forgot how to draw smth moving sorry)*
'Oh yeah! We also got what y'all call 'unreleased mobs'. These guys live deep within the FarLands, but I visit them as much as I can. Glare guys like me a lot'

I think I've had Enderman take and place blocks while I work on the land, I let them take the blocks they want and always try to leave the block they place so they know I appreciate them and their help!
I'll especially do this when building my base, they are welcome to take a block if they want and if they place a block down it becomes part of the base no matter what it is! My base is their base, they are free to use it whenever they want and they can invite friends/family if they want to too!
I feel Enderman would have some games that are similar to ours, but with a twist! Like with the hide n seek game. I'd give an example of other games they may play, but my brain is drawing blanks. I'll let you know if I think of any though! - Enderman Anon
yess, I love it when the guys help. I want them to feel safe around me!!
Endermen games... ouhhh I would have many more thoughts on this if it weren't for how late it is.
But! To compensate:

Okay so because I'm curious and I miss the funky guy- what are you headcanons for Ranbob by any chance? If that's alright.
Oh boy, you have no idea how much I struggled because I wanted to draw somefin for this like I did for Crops’s but artblock is a Binch.
Anyways-
Ranbob is my absolute favorite character in Tales, he’s just a precious murderous lad. That and The Lost City of Mizu is my favorite Tales so there’s already a lot of bias there lol-
-Immediately starting off with what he is, since in my headcanon Ranboo isn’t half ghast half enderman or whatnot. This means Ranbob is still part enderman but because of his bloodline he’s now part something else. Ranbob is part enderman and mostly axolotl. (Not gonna get into what Ranboo is here, just know the half he is isn’t Axolotl. Lore~)
-Ranbob can safely enter water. No burning. He can also teleport like an enderman, albeit varied. Refer to here for my Endermen lore for more of his abilities.
-Ran and Ranbob are not related. This is one of the two biggest things I have in terms of these two.
Tumblr media
Ranbob met Ran when the lad was 8 and the older enderman was 16. Ran was one of the few in Mizu’s above water crew so he knew more of the overworld and in turn knew the stories in Mizu were mostly bullshit. Despite this, he tolerated Ranbob’s curiosity and taught him what he knew of the stories. Later in their friendship, though, Ran became more violent and devoted to his beliefs and worship of his idol and demanded Ranbob find something to tether himself to, even if it eventually led to a fight that made Ran leave to the surface and Ranbob in Mizu with his selected idol to prove himself. Ranbob is 18 at this point.
-Around the time he hung around Ran, Ranbob spotted an axolotl appearing more often outside the glass of Mizu, following playfully around him. He ended up letting it into Mizu one day when wishing Ran luck on his scouting trip, thus sealing his own fate.
Tumblr media
-Ranbob’s worship towards Dream is fully manipulated by said axolotl, done by a lonely and bored god. He would get nightmares and broken visions of the past, normally about his ‘idol’ and the others worshipped and admired in Mizu. The one who guided him to slaughter the population in Mizu was all XD’s doing, as a ‘test of faith’.
-When the fishermen visit Mizu, the events are fully similar. The only difference being the moment Cletus shattered the hole in the hallway, he’d made a hole for Ranbob to reenter with. When Charles dives in the secret room, Ranbob could’ve easily swam it due to being able to breathe and swim underwater. So when the glass in the tree room is shattered, Ranbob swims out of it and stalks the remaining trio through the other side of the glass.
-There’s more lore on what happens afterwards that I’m not gonna say because then it gets more detailed and this is already getting long with text but I will say this: Ranbob survives at the end of Mizu and finds out the truth of who exactly he’d been listening to. He never dares try to find Ran, the scar on his chin a valid reminder not to.
Tumblr media
This picture isn’t lore related, I just wanted another excuse to draw Ranbob. I also technically drew him for this map part here.
If you ever wanna know more of my headcanons, don’t be afraid to ask! It was fun writing these out finally, like how I did with Crops!

Im trying to make a cranboo design, and i have a good idea of the clothes they would wear and such but when im trying to draw their face i just come up blank. Do you have any suggestions on how i should draw their face?
Well first of all don't limit yourself to humanoid features or even overall face structure. CERTAINLY don't feel limited to conventional attractiveness. I've seen various anthro Ranbs (dragons are popular I saw a birdlike one once nothing is saying you can't do smth fun)
Second of all if you have an idea of what endermen would look like in your artstyle use it; if you don't it might be easier to work that out first as a different angle to approach
In general Minecraft is a land of infinite opportunity; allow yourself to be governed by rule of cool. Shapes that look nice, features that are fun to draw, &c. The only canon information we have is technically just the eyes and tearscars exist and the half enderman thing; how any of that looks can vary huge. What's fun for you about drawing eyes, especially fantasy eyes? How do you reconcile the "eye of ender" object with it, if you do? How do you convey expression? What's smth fun for you to do tearscarring with? Floral draws her Ranboo's tearscars as neon; Now minecraftsz used to draw a Ranboo with tearscars that looked like chickenpox scars. What would be fun and interesting for you to do? What do you want to get practice in? What's important to you to see? Features for nonhuman Minecraft characters AREN'T about "why" they're about "why not"
For Ranboo specifically some more questions 2 get you started: how does his face and flesh stand up to the tears and possible other injuries? What's an enderman and how do you make it look tired, or afraid? How do their teeth work? Do they have them? Do they have a mouth at all? They're canonically a late teenager/equivalent in age; how would this be conveyed on a half-enderman? Are their eyes easy to look at or difficult?
Checking how expressions look on certain features and whether you like it/think it fits is fun; do some test runs with features you're not sure of by doodling it to certain lines maybe (and these can just be random ones too)
This turned in2 a bit of a ramble on chara design philosophy despite me being a hobbyist artist who is bad at chara design but this is how I like 2 think when I make silly guys and well I have fun so I'm doing smth right
