“Fuck this, fuck life, what the fuck!” You screamed out to no one in particular as you threw rocks at the lake behind your house.

You hadn’t been handling it well, your brother in exile while you were here, wasting away with the ghost of your best friend since birth. How fucked up is that? The cherry on fucking top of all of this. You didn’t mind, but it hurt that he only remembered bits and pieces. You wanted to yell at him, scream at him about how he left you and how selfish he was.

But you didn’t. He’d already dealt with too much from others, stuff he didn’t understand since Wilbur was the one to create it all. He didn’t deserve it, he didn’t do anything. His ghost is just the happy Wilbur that got lost.

“Dear? Are you ok?” You heard a voice ask from behind you as fuzzy fur was felt on your hand. You looked down and saw friend nuzzling into you, Wilbur holding the lead and looking at you with a concerned expression.

You signed out as you turned back. “Yeah, just thinking too much.”

Sitting down on the grass, Ghostbur came on the other side of you and sat down, both of you looking at the sunset that had just begun.

“I know how much alive me hated it when you overthought. I still have those memories. So I’m guessing he doesn’t want you too.” Ghost said with a soft voice as you smiled at the words, tears marking your water line.

“Yeah no, he hated it. So did Tommy. It’s why I’ve been doing it so much lately, I don’t have them to keep me in check.” You said as you brought your knees up to your chest, lying your head on your knees.

“What have you been thinking about?” The ghost beside you asked as you turned your head to look at him. His skin cold and blue in every way, the yellow sweater now ruined and a brown sheen from everything that’s happened. He looks different yet so familiar.

“How I could’ve been better. How I could’ve saved Tommy from being exiled by Tubbo, how he’s being tortured by the dream right now , how he’s just a kid and he doesn’t know any better. You have to be that petty to send a kid to prison on another island away from his only family? And then Wilbur- alive you- how selfish he was to just leave like that after destroying something we all worked hard to defend for months. How he left me alone to deal with all of his shit. Jesus I fucking hate him.” You whispered out the last part at you wiped the stray tears that fell. Your hatred for the man was short lived as a cold hand met yours and squeezed them together.

“I’m sorry I can’t help. But Toms doing fine, I saw him today. And for alive me, I know he loved you very much. And he wanted you safe and happy, so I’ll try my best to do that for you. I wish I could understand why everyone hates me, but all I know is I can’t fix it.” The statement was a sad one, but a true one. He couldn’t fix it, it was Wil’s problem to fix, but he was getting the short end of the stick.

You leaned over and placed your head on his shoulder, getting closer to him than before. “I’m sorry. You don’t deserve it. We have each other yeah? Until Tom comes back?” You asked, looking you at him as he nodded, the sunset warming his face a bit, unless it was you.

“Yeah. I like that.” Ghostbur said as he relaxed into your touch, a smile on his face as he leaned to his head against yours.

You only needed each other in the end. You had your Wilbur, and that’s all you needed.

well,,, that’s what i always do. english is another language to me! cop out answer, lmao. but other than that, i guess i could be persuaded to write a few lines in spanish here and there. did study it for 7 years, after all.

overall, i thinks it pretty cool! as long as there is an ez translation somewhere, easy to understand without a translation, or if it’s not done in a way that bi/multilinguals absolutely would not speak B)

I can list at least three full animatics for this song for every major fandom I have ever been a part of, and still it's so hard to find them because there are so goddamn many

It's an absolute banger from the absolute King Alan Menken, originally from the pretty underrated Tangled the Series. I've seen animatics for this for like every fandom I can think of, and it deserves it because it slaps and has great vocal performances from Jeremy Jordan and Eden Espinosa.

i'm pretty sure this song is more well known than the show it came from is lol. i looked up "ready as i'll ever be animatic" on youtube just to confirm and counted 20+ of them, and i didn't even finish scrolling. it is a genuinely really good song from a /surprisingly/ good show that imo is super underrated. i definitely would recommend checking it out if you get the opportunity!

it's a fandom song that transcended its fandom and became a hit for twist villains.

The song really fosters creativity with how many animatics can create a darker AU where the usual protagonist (or a close associate) is made to be the antagonist because of injustice suffered and the other characters have to fight against them

I've seen *at least* one animatic of this song in almost every fandom I've looked into

It has a lot of Animaniacs because it is sung by an ensemble cast It is good for demonstrating a lot of different conflicting perspectives of characters for your big dramatic fight and its catchy and I love it

I mean everyone loves a scenario where one of the main cast becomes a villain for tragic reasons and the rest of the characters have to fight them while dealing with the betrayal and attempting to make them see reason

How in the actual hell does a song from a Tangled spinoff series go this spectacularly hard? More to the point, how does it have an animatic/AMV for practically EVERY FANDOM IN EXISTENCE?! Yeah, most people know it from that one Warrior Cats MAP, but there is SO much more. Not to mention the bucketloads of people who used this song for their own OCs, which is always a bonus.

Hey guys

I know I kinda soft returned with the launch of the WOY reanimated but I just wanna say I am officially coming back to tumblr and it’s honestly probably gonna become my main social media seeing where things go

I loved this site but for a while I pretty much used it strictly for the tntduo community and, well… I think we can all guess why I don’t really want to associate with that anymore.

With everything that’s happened I just can’t even think about the characters positively anymore, it just makes me depressed, like most things do nowadays.

I’m still hoping to find a new fandom/ship to fill that void. I thought I kinda had it with SVS but i should’ve known that such a large but still niche community would eventually betray me.

So I guess for now I’m gonna focus more on my smaller hyperfixations, WOY, Deltarune, Ok KO, things I love and am dedicated to but hasn’t reached the level of obsession that I’m used to having in my life. And maybe I’ll get there eventually.

Also gonna post my art here more, sometimes for archival purposes sometimes just to get it out there.

The main reason for this is because of the AI bs that Meta is pulling over Instagram. I just can’t stand it, and if my work is gonna get stolen no matter what I do I at least don’t wanna be around to see it. And I hate putting those filters over my art. So yeah, I’m probably leaving instagram semi-permanently after tomorrow. I mean, I’ll post big updates and project announcements on there and stuff, but I just don’t really wanna use it anymore.

I wanna get back into fandom and community and having a good time talking about the things I love, instead of feeling like I’m constantly walking on eggshells just to please everyone.

i’ve also been trying to not be super negative but the big sad is also hitting me tonight. like i LOVED q, his dsmp character is one of my favorite characters from anything ever, i had on multiple different occasions called him the funniest mfer on the planet, i bought so much stupid las nevadas merch and now it’s just like. Guess who watched the new puss in boots today and could only think of how he could turn it into an au? Me.

So i’m gonna explain my thoughts on an sbi/dsmp au puss in boots, spoilers ahead for the film

Puss in boots - techno, bad ass with a sword, doesn’t feel fear ect ect. He had several near death experiences and somehow made it out alive, but never truly enjoyed life, so dream (death) comes to finally take his life

Softpaws - wilbur. He is not in love with techno, cus that’s just weird ew and also it just makes aus better when they’re found family (says literally everyone ever). Wilbur distrusts techno after he left him alone in a room full of people who hated them, and somehow made it out. Has trust issues, but is still a badass

Perrito - tommy. Chaotic little shit, just wants friends, sees the best in everything and everyone because we love a good optimist :) tommy just wants techno and wilbur, two friends he starts to see as brothers, to be happy, and can see their brotherly relationship from miles away even when they can’t. He also saves the day, cus he’s actually awesome

Death - dream, man dedicates his life to hunting down techno because he doesn’t value his life as much as he should, and also just hates the fact he keeps getting away. After an epic battle, he realises that techno realises his life has value when there’s people he cares about in it, and that Wilbur and tommy make him a better person

Goldilocks - PHIL. That man just wants a family, idk what to tell you, him and his crows (cough cough the bears) dedicate their very souls to getting that wish because Phil wants a family. And he sees The renowned technoblade, Wilbur soot and some random blonde kid called tommy trying to get this wish, and decides if he can’t wish for a family, maybe he’d just make them his own, and bring his crows along with him

Jack Horner (the dude who eats the pie) - i didn’t actually have a set person for this, horner in this film is a horrible person through and through, the conscience on his shoulder not being able to influence him at all was proof of that. I dont know a character that didn’t change at all, like even c!dream learned at the very end it wasn’t worth it, and tho that was hardly anything at least he learned something! Horner was loved as a child, given everything including love and respect, and still he remained horrible, so i don’t have someone for him lmao

The cat lady Luna - I can just imagine Niki or Puffy taking all these stray cats in and taking care of them, :000 maybe BOTH OF THEM!!! Omg what if they both take in stray cats and like omg i had a realisation this is so cool

Anyways it was a fantastic film highly recommend, like it was genuinely awesome

Character you think is overrated

Hmm… I feel like most of the characters are pretty good and should be popular, and I don’t find myself getting annoyed when I see a ton of content for them, even if I’m not personally a fan of ‘em.

I do think that a lot of people justify Dream when they most definitely shouldn’t—he is a bad man—so I guess that can be a little annoying.

But I don’t think his actual character is overrated; just that weird fanon interpretation of him.

I honestly hate to bring a more negative topic into fandom discussion again but there’s been something that’s been a constant in the dsmp fandom for as long as I’ve been in it and I just feel like having a little rant. Don’t mind me if you’re not here for that.

If you’ve been in the fandom for any amount of time (or at least since I joined late 2020) fun fandom catchphrases such as “the fandom is dying” “the smp is going downhill” and “the fandoms got so much worse” have surely been a common occurrence. How very fun and quirky :|

This kinda talk has always aggravated me so much and I think I know how to verbalize why now. The dsmp was a very strange internet phenomenon for a short while. Hell, all three of my very non-nerdy siblings got very into it. At a point it was practically everyone’s thing. My question is where the fuck do ppl think it’s going past that? Certainly not up, and very unlikely everyone from that wave would love it forever. The fandom isn’t dying it’s losing weight. At no point would any experienced fandom nerd ever call what we have a dead or dying fandom.

And sure it’s upsetting when a fandom begins to split and form separate bubbles, but what do you expect of such an enormous group of people? If a person thinks the fandom is worse now honestly I’d just say they aren’t curating their experience thoroughly enough, I guess that’s harder on Twitter and Tiktok but don’t blame the whole fandom for that shit. And especially don’t host “I’m not in this fandom anymore but I’m still mad at it” discussions in our fandom tags. (Looking at a select few tiktok videos I’ve seen recently)

I guess my main point is that if you looked at fandom popularity as a graph people are so obsessed with the popularity being a perfect straight line forever or even getting more popular as it goes but that is just not how everything works. Especially an independent creative project based on individual peoples motivation. I’m gonna get a bit existential here but oh “The fandom has just been slowly dying as it goes on :’(” . . . Yeah and so are you. Slow decay of things over time is quite literally the most natural progression for anything. There’s erosion and decay until only the most resilient pieces are left. And I say that with all the love of two years of the most passion and inspiration I’ve ever experienced for a fandom in my heart. We live, we experience, we change, that’s just how our silly brains work. Oh god, this is getting way too deep for a rant about minecraft men but god damn it decay is not something to fear. Let the fandom go through its life cycle, why would you want to focus on the erosion when you could focus on how beautifully polished what is left is becoming? Its ok to have a bad experience with a fandom and be angry about it but projecting that back at the fandom in such a general and aggressive way especially from outside of it always does more harm then good. Please stop telling me my community and greatest comfort is dying, we’re right here.

I don't do it beyond a few words because, well, I won't know the language. One or two words, or a common phrase, is pretty easy to get right but beyond that I would need a consultant.

I wrote quite a lot of angst but usually I give my poor little characters a happy ending cos I end up caring about them too much. That is decisively not the case with What could have been.

I have an idea for like a Spirk royal AU where Earth, Vulcan and other species of the federation are now kingdoms on one big planets. Spock is the prince of Vulcan and one day Jim (an orphan from the earth kingdom) gets kidnapped and brought through Vulcan to be traded to someone but he escapes and finds refuge on the king’s castle as a manservant to the king. Shenanigans ensue, the young prince and the errand boy fall in love but in order to marry Jim would have to legally be a Vulcan so he has to go on the quest thing where you survive three (??) days in the Vulcan desert without anything. Also Spock’s dad is categorically against it and tries to prevent the marriage from happening at all.

Before the Vulcan Spice tea grows cold, I got quite attached to this little thing when I wrote it :) it’s a Star Trek TOS mixed with Discovery so I get why it has very little reach but I think it’s quite cute :)

Minecraft. Not MCYT, Minecraft. The game. Yep, I wrote a fic about Minecraft mobs doing the Olimpics…. It had a moral in the end and everything. It’s still out there, on the internet. Has like 10k reads and everything. Technically it’s my most popular fic out there by sheer numbers alone I think… (Tho thankfully not in English)

I love all the stuff I write, (ignore comments from last question XD) no matter what because I believe that all of them got me to how I write now, but from a purely “I like the way this thing is written and the direction I took this plot in” then it has to be My Companion Slime. a/n: this fic was weird to write bc i normally write that the character calls him clay but with the setting it didn't seem right lmao – also psa, i have very little knowledge about constellations but i thought it was cute so i left it in lol

many members from the dsmp decided to take a road trip together (yes they clowned on dream the whole time)

it was a week long trip and it was finally the last day! you'd went cross country, stopping at a few different airbnbs along the way

and at this point, you were kind of over it😐don't get me wrong, it'd been an amazing trip, but you'd had little to no alone time in a week and you were just relieved to be going home after this

until you saw the last house, where someone had to share a bed.... and you and dream had just happened to pull out the two shortest straws…

‘Damn it.’ You mentally rolled your eyes, of course you’d end up the one to share a bed on the last day. You’d been driving all day and considering it was only one night, you had no mental energy to argue over sharing. Dream didn’t even seem phased at the fact, honestly you almost felt bad about how annoyed you were with everyone with how nice he’d been about it all. But he was always like this, he was always kind to you.

That was until you rolled over for the hundredth time that night. The space between the pillow wall you'd built and the edge of the bed was seeming to get smaller and smaller as the night went on. Even though the air was thick in the room, your feet were cold from Dream hogging the blanket and the bed would shake every few minutes from his constant movement. You could tell he was awake even though he was staying silent, and you tried your hardest not to let out an annoyed huff.

Finally, he shifted to peer over the pillow wall. In the dark you could still make out his green eyes and fluffy hair.

"You awake?" He whispered. You groaned internally, literally why does this man want to have a conversation now?

"No."

"Oh come on now, you can't say that and be asleep. I cant't sleep. We should do something." He shifted again so his forearms were leaning against the wall, basically destroying it.

"We are doing something. It's called trying to sleep so we can wake up at a good hour and go home." You sighed, screwing your eyes shut.

"It's only like 1 in the morning, we have plenty of time to sleep. Come on.. please, it'll be fun." Whatever, fine, maybe he'll actually calm the fuck down after this.

"Fine. What the hell can we even do right now." You opened your eyes up again, staring at the ceiling.

"We can go for a drive?" You can hear the smile in his voice. This man's love for driving was absurd.

"Uh how about no? We've literally been in the car all day and I'd rather not go back until we have to." You finally turned to face him, he wore a lopsided grin and a crooked pajama shirt. Cute.

"Fine, fine. How about we just go for a walk, yeah?" You grumbled, swinging your legs over the edge of the bed and grabbing the hoodie you left on the floor. No way in hell were you changing for this, it was bad enough you were even indulging in it.

“Alright,” He grinned in your direction, slipping a pair of shoes on. “We can walk to that clearing with the little pond we saw on our way here, it's not far."

"That's fine but can we please not be out forever? I'm serious about getting sleep." You recalled the place he was talking about, it was pretty over there. Plus, you were pretty sure you could see the stars tonight.

Dream hummed, "Yeah, yeah grumpy. Let's go and be quiet, I don't want to wake anyone."

"Didn't seem to mind waking me up." You rolled your eyes, the audacity.

"Not my fault you got stuck sharing with me." He elbowed your side lightly.

You decided to keep quiet after that, slipping out of the airbnb. It wasn't cold, but there was enough chill to make goosebumps rise on your skin.

The walk there was silent, both of you just taking in the scenery. Your mind was replaying all your favorite moments from the past week, sure you were tired and ready to sleep in your own bed, but you were grateful for the people around you and how happy you'd been the past 6 days. Dream had invited you to come along almost last minute compared to everyone else. He had messaged you one night and told you he was paying for everything and would be happy if you came, and who could say no to that?

"What? What is it?" Dream had his eyes on you as you came to a stop, reaching your destination. "What's with the smile, I thought you were grumpy."

"Shut up. I'm just thinking about the past week. I had a really good time, I'm really glad I came, thank you for inviting me." You rolled your eyes, but the smile stayed put.

Dream hummed, "Me too. Honestly I thought you were gonna say no when I asked you." He chuckled as his arm raised to the back of neck, scratching slightly.

"Really? What makes you say that?" Your nose scrunched slightly, you guys had always had a good relationship, you always enjoyed hanging out with him.

"I don't know! I guess I thought you wouldn't want to spend that much time with me." He was smiling, but you could tell he was being serious.

You frowned, "I'd never say no to something like this. I know I'm 'grumpy' or whatever but I seriously like spending time with you, all of you."

"Thanks, I like spending time with you too." He turned to face you, but you tilted your head up, getting a good look at the stars. Your heart softened at his words, he really was a good man.

There was a moment of silence before you spoke up again, "Do you know any constellations?"

"Uh, I can find Leo probably." His head tilted up to match yours and you snorted.

"Of course you can." You smiled and shook your head, typical Leos.

"Oh, there it is, here look." His finger pointed up at the sky, your eyes following where it led.

"There?" You asked, raising your own finger. Dream shifted behind you, close enough to feel his breath on your neck. He hooked his hand on yours and moved your finger up slightly, "Here." He murmured. His skin was soft against yours, you felt his heartbeat on your back and you could smell his aroma.

Neither of you moved, you could feel him turn his head to look at you. Your cheeks heated and you slowly lowered both your hands. You tilted your head to meet his eyes, your noses were barely touching. The beating in your chest grew faster and your mind whirled as you saw him lean in, just so slightly.

You pulled away and turned around quickly, "We should get back." You cleared your throat. Your palms were still sweating, but for a second your thoughts went blank.

"Um, yeah sure." He shoved his hands in his pockets and started his way back to the airbnb. You stood there for a moment before following after him.

What the actual fuck just happened. You were going to kiss him? Or was he going to kiss you? None of that even matters since you'd just rejected him. You cursed yourself as you kept trudging on.

This whole thing was a hot mess, it wasn't like you didn't like him, it was just you'd never thought about it before. Sure, you'd flirt with him in call or make dumb suggestive jokes, but you'd always assure yourself there was nothing underlying there. They were just jokes.

But now you couldn't stop thinking about it, his soft skin against yours, his heartbeat, the way his eyes looked so intensely into your own. Your brain kept repeating it over and over again, it made you sick.

By the time you reached the airbnb again, you began to hate how you yearned to be touched by him again. That, ok fine, you did want him to kiss you but you chickened out. He didn't help by holding the door open for you when sneaking back inside. You mumbled a thanks, not daring to look at him. You could still feel him behind you as you tiptoed back to your room, which you just conveniently forgot you had to share.

You got situated as fast as you could, climbing back into the bed, holding your breath as you went. You waited to feel the dip in the bed signally him coming to lay next to you. When it didn't come, you peeked at his side, he stood there gathering a pillow and his phone before turning to leave. Your heartbeat sped up again.

"Clay," You sat up before you could stop yourself. "Wait, can- can you stay. Please." Your voice wobbled, but the moments back at the clearing kept playing again and you couldn't just sit there anymore.

He turned around shifting his feet, "Yeah, yeah sure." His eyes seemed to soften at the expression on your face.

Your hand swiped at the pillow wall, this time completely dismantling it and you lied back down. You felt the weight shift as he settled next to you, your breath was still shaky. He lied down facing you, eyes searching your face.

"Hi." You whisper, nerves come rushing back now that he's here again.

"Hi." He chuckles and smiles softly. His eyes are still searching your face, he looks uncertain.

"I– Well I–"

"Listen, don't worry about it. I was dumb I don't even know what I was thinking. We can just forget it." He interrupts you, his eyes darting down and cheeks flushing.

"That's not what I was gonna say." You faltered. He stares quizzically, silently asking you to continue. "Well I-I first wanted to apologize, I was a dick back there. And um.."

The words taper off, lost. You feel his gaze bore into your face, he tentatively raised his arm from inside the covers, hooking your chin with a finger.

"It's ok." He whispers affirmatively. The consequences are instant, your nerves slow and you can only focus on how close he is. His eyes find yours, and he no longer seems uncertain. "Can I kiss you?"

You can only nod, so sure of your decision.

George was finally done with the fighting. So much warfare, so much death and destruction. It was too much. Even his former best friends, Dream and Sapnap had been swept up into the chaos. Well, Dream had actually been the cause of a lot of the deaths. 

George Not-Found was done with the fighting, though. He wanted to keep you, the love of his life, safe. For so long, you had been begging him to move out of the SMP lands and live in the unoccupied lands outside of normal civilization. Your boyfriend hated the idea of leaving.

“All of my friends are here!” He’d protest. “George, all of your friends are either dead or criminals!” You couldn’t stop yourself from shouting back. It was true. Sapnap’s whereabouts remains ambiguous but Dream’s were well known. He had been locked in Pandora’s Vault. The notorious prison, made of mostly obsidian and Blackstone, was built with a seemingly immeasurable amount of traps. And yet, people still feared Dream’s escape.

George knew his former best friend was too far gone, but he hated it. He hated knowing the person he thought would be there through everything, was gone; had left for his own selfish gain.

Your shoulders slumped when you saw your boyfriend’s lip start to quiver. “George... I’m sorry. But I really do think we should move. It’s not safe here anymore.”

He took a deep breath and nodded. “Okay, we’ll move.”

That was three months ago. Now, the two of you were living happily alone in your cottage. The two of you built it together and it was perfect. It surely wasn’t the biggest or most impressive dwelling on the whole server, but it was charming and suited both of your needs quite nicely.

“George, my love, I’m going to collect berries for breakfast. I’ll be back soon,” you announced, collecting your gear. You walked over to where your - now fiancé - was napping on the couch.

You scoffed playfully at his sleeping form, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. Grabbing a random pen and post-it note off the coffee table, you wrote a note. The note explained where you were going, why, and when you expected to be back.

“I love you, George. Sleep well.” You added at the bottom with a smile.

Basket for berries swinging on your arm, light cloak on your shoulders, you left your charming house to go collect breakfast. 

You did now realize that it would be the last time you’d see him.

Three hours later...

George Not-Found woke up with a start, tumbling ungracefully off the couch. Rubbing his elbow as he sat up, he looked around the house. It was empty. 

“Y/n? Love?” he called into the empty air. He looked around some more, standing up and walking around.

A note on the table caught his eye. Your handwriting was spread over the small piece of paper. The message scrawled gracefully. “I’ve gone out to gather berries for breakfast,” he read aloud. “I should be back in an hour.” His heart began to drop. “I love you, George. Sleep well.”

His grip on the note went slack and it fluttered to the ground like a leaf. George frantically whipped his head around to look at the clock. It had been three hours since he fell asleep, and you weren’t in the house. Something was wrong.

George grabbed his sword, goggles, and some extra health potions off of the shelf by the door.

But as he closed the front door, a dagger with a note pinned to it stuck into the wood of the door caught his eye. The dagger was familiar, a polished silver handle set with diamonds and emeralds. The handwriting was even more familiar. But it wasn’t yours. It was Dream’s.

He ripped the dagger out of the door to read the note.

“Hey, George.

As you might have guessed by now, Y/n is gone. I’ve taken them. You shouldn’t have betrayed me, George. You knew that wouldn’t end well. Meet with me at the ruins of the community house tonight. Or else.”

George was so shocked. He knew something was wrong, but he really hadn’t expected Dream to be the cause of it. He hadn’t even realized he was on Dream’’s hit list - or list of enemies - to begin with.

The night was dark as the moon was only half full as George waited for Dream. The ruins of the community house sat still behind him. You could still see the burn marks on the pieces of the house that hadn’t been destroyed.

He was running his hands over a burned piece of wood when a voice made him turn around.

“Hello, George.”

He whipped around. “Dream.” 

The man with the porcelain white mask visibly froze in surprise. He had never heard his former friend this serious before. Honestly, it was kind of terrifying. But the master manipulator pulled himself together.

“You seem thrilled to see me.”

But George wasn’t having it. He only wanted to know where Y/n was. Were they okay? Could he save them?

It was as if Dream could read his mind. 

“You want Y/n.” It wasn’t a question. It was a statement, a fact. Something so obvious it made no sense for Dream to say aloud.

“No shit,” George growled. “Where are they?”

The most wanted man on the server didn’t need to take off his mask for George to know he was smiling cruelly. His heart sank to his stomach, preparing for the worst. And the worst was what he got.

“They’re dead.”

Those two words, and everything seemed to stop. The world went quiet as George tried to take in the news. The words just didn’t seem to absorb into his brain. It made sense. What were you supposed to do upon hearing that the absolute love of your life had died? Just nod and move on with life? Hell no.

“Go, Dream.” George’s voice was hoarse, cracked with grief. 

Dream tried to say something, but he was cut off.

“Just fucking go.”

So Dream left and George was left to process his feelings amongst the ruins alone.

Tears finally began to fall. His knees buckled and he crashed to the ground, bent over on the ground. The torrent of emotions - anger, frustration, grief, emptiness - cascaded over him. 

He let out an earth-shattering scream. His throat burned but his sobs simply couldn’t carry the weight of his grief alone. 

Holding himself in a tight hug as he rocked back and forth, George came to terms with your death. 

You were gone. The love of his life was gone. Dead. Killed. Taken away from him. Your own life ripped away. And all because he hadn’t just agreed with you and moved away earlier, before the fighting and the wars got really bad. 

“I’m sorry, darling.” his voice was carried with the wind. So heartbreaking that even the sky began to cry. The raindrops fell softly, as if they were keeping a vigil.

“You were right. We should have moved earlier. I should have listened. But I didn’t, and now you’re dead.”

He was cut off by his own sob, a wretched sound that echoed slightly off of the burned ruins of the community house.

“I’m so sorry, darling.” He took a shaky breath. “I love you.”
