Huh. Yeah. Far as I know, this isn't a common thing in the US. But also, neither is taking off your shoes when you go inside (though that seems to be a bit more common, depending on the household).
Are you in the US? Are your parents from another culture? This mindset screams "Japanese" to me, but that's probably because I associate the whole "you have inside shoes and outside shoes and never shall the two be confused" with Japanese culture. I also associate the willingness to wear masks when ill with them as well*. So I'm wondering if you grew up in a family with a different cultural background and that's why you're facing what I would consider to be "culture shock."
Conversely, I've worked in healthcare. And it ironically had kind of the opposite effect on me. Like, after the literal shit I've been exposed to, I'm seriously not worried about what's in the general environment. Of course I still wash my hands whenever I'm doing food prep, but I'm generally not worried about it when I'm out in public. I sort of consider anything I come into contact with as a way to keep my immune system trained up and active so that I'm less likely to get sick. Exposure therapy, if you will. That doesn't apply to anything obviously disgusting; I keep my hands to myself and avoid touching excess stuff. I also don't just go out to go out, so there's a lot less exposure in general for me, so that may play into things. ÂŻâ \â _â (â ăâ )â _â /â ÂŻ
Of course I'm super OCD about washing my hands whenever I'm doing anything healthcare/client/other people related. I'm just less concerned in general about myself, if that makes any sense.
*Please note that I am terrible at differentiating all peoples and cultures ftom each other and I'm very well aware of it. My labels are very often wrong/incorrect/likely fueled by bad stereotypes. I'm only associating this with Japanese peoples and their culture because my brain is screaming that it's isolated to them and not a generalized Asian cultural mindset, and I'm half remembering images from some educational show about it. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but know that I'm not trying to be an ass. This is one of those things where because my brain has not had a good reason/enough exposure to all the distinctions, it positively refuses to remember things, and I constantly get stuck in generalizations. No offense intended, I swear.
I'm also face blind and literally cannot physically tell the difference between different peoples, so that doesn't help either.
in the vein of "how do you stay safe from getting sick", I wanna say that something I always noticed as a kid was that a lot of the time when I went to people's houses and we would leave at some point to the mall or the park or something and then come back homeâŠI don't remember any of them washing their hands when we got back inside. they'd just immediately lead me back to their room or the living room or something, and then I'd feel incredibly self-conscious about going to their bathroom to wash my own hands. and I always thought it was absolutely bizarre because the way I was raised, the first thing you do when you come back home after taking your shoes and jacket off is go wash your hands. it's common sense. why on planet earth would you not wash your hands. you've just been touching a hundred public surfaces that could have anything on them and you think as soon as you set foot in your own house all the germs you've picked up just evaporate? it's absolutely insane to me to know that so many people don't bother washing their hands. WASH YOUR HANDS.
#cultural things#I find stuff like this fascinating truthfully#We all have such different expectations for how the world should work#And half the time we don't even realize that it's because of some thing that great grandma did 100 years ago and we've just all kept doing#And realizing that's it's cultural differences at play seems to be such a hard thing for so many people!#Maybe it's because I relocated a ton as a kid that I just expect people to do things differently from me and that's my normal#I dunno#The world is a strange place#But it's amazing when we can discuss things like this without judgment

And I forgot about the DRUMS!!! I think this is an album they may have been working on for years. I think they are going for a magnum opus
yea so i read this went you sent it at 6am cause ive been out of work sick for a few days now and my sleep is allll messed up. and i tinhatted EXTREMELY close to the sun on this one. but i kind of think im cooking. so let me explain.
also ill just say i think because we know somethings coming but we dont know what BUT we know there are threads throughout somehow connecting things from years prior like. all tinhatting is plausible until proven otherwise. if we want to draw a connection between two things we CAN. and i think thats why im so on board with mcr5 now when i havent been since 2019. bc ive done this before. i was in the trenches for the danger days rollout/promo and the transmissions on the website and everything and THAT was one of the most exciting times of my life and THIS reminds me of that. im glad people never gave up on mcr5 but they never gave me ENOUGH before now to really run with. and now they have and its a free for all. THIS is what being an mcr fan is about. tbh. this is what this fandom has been missing for AGES. when they dont give us teasers and lore and crpytic messages we devolve into like theorizing and arguing with each other about who they are as people. but this is the basis of mcr community to me....getting together with your pals inside your phone and inside your laptop (who now have grown ito irl friends for so many of us) and dissecting every shred of info they give us. thank god for my chemical romance.
ANYWAY sorry that. went down a path i didnt intend when i started. so yes um so what you said about them going for a magnum opus. let me tell you a little story. when i was in my first year of being a my chem fan, i was 13, i became QUICKLY obsessed, first with the black parade and then after i spent i think 2 months straight listening to nothing but the black parade on repeat all day every day (literally) i ventured into their other stuff and got like really sucked in to everything else, reading articles and interviews and watching every video of them youtube had to offer and talking about them 24/7 on the forums instead of doing homework, i would sneak the family laptop into my room at night so i could keep reading about them and talking about them instead of having to go to sleep it was THE most exhilarating and exciting time of my life. anyway. i remember (16 years later) reading a specific review of the black parade that said something like "my chemical romance will never top this album and they know it" and i STILL REMEMBER sitting on the couch and crying over it. because i had never listened to music that had made such an impact on me as the black parade IN MY LIFE. nothing had ever made me feel that way and that strongly as listening to that album. you know how we all always say we wish we could listen to my chem for the first time again just to have that feeling again. that was me. i had never experienced an album of their when it came out and i felt like the author of the article was telling me that i would basically never acheive that high again. it was devastating. i promise this is relevant. bc regardless of your PERSONAL FAVORITE my chem album, it is generally agreed upon that the black parade is their magnum opus. it just is. both in scale and musically and its impact on pop culture and its the best known to a general audience.
so you say they're going for a magnum opus. when the black parade is DEAD. they killed it. (in the new lore they were sent to the MOAT which i assume is some kind of exile and stripping of their status as the national band)
and so i started thinking about "in the face of extermination say FUCK YOU" and i think this applies here two-fold actually. MAYBE 3-fold. on one hand, in-universe. extermination being the concrete age, the dictator holding the people down and exterminating their livelihood. but also the extermination of the black parade! and then - irl - we have the extermination of mcr's chances of doing something huge again like this. music publications resigning them as soon as the album came out to never achieving something as epic and grand as that again.
and the FUCK YOU being, the opposition of the dictator from the people, the black parade being reinstated but? maybe they have plans to overthrow the dictator? IRL mcr saying fuck you, we can actually use the concept that you said was the best we would ever do, completely turn it on its head, and make something even more grandiose and epic and MAGNUM OPUS.
and also hail just reminded me obv of the UNKILLABLES drumhead in sydney. which both relates to franks personal experience there but also like. with this concept of in the face of extermination say fuck you. along with his end of tour post being a cockroach, notoriously unkillable! notoriously a target for extermination!!!!
god theres so many layers to this but i needed to get it off my chest do you still like me

barton being awkward at first or even completely throughout a whole interaction whenever he's trying to comfort people is so in character for him TBH and let me tell y'all why because i think it's important to his character:
he can fake a lot of things. barton can fake being nice to people, he can fake being innocent, and he can even fake having a much stronger sense of morality around people if he wants to â but whenever it comes to empathizing with someone on an emotional level... barton finds himself often struggling with faking it because of the nature of it. and this is due to it being different than whenever he's trying to feign something easily comprehensible like innocence. but empathy is something that's usually viewed as innate in us as humans and has to do with love, which doesn't depend on logic. it's something that comes from within, so it doesn't have clear parameters as to how you should do it, so whenever barton tries to fake it in the event that he's trying to make someone feel better; he'll stumble. and so although barton can cognitively empathize with someone, his efforts to actually put himself in other people's shoes fall flat, as he just can't physically imagine himself being in someone else's position probably more than half the time.
so if your muse were to ever come to him seeming upset, barton would likely not know what to do / how to comfort them, at least for a bit before referencing back on how he's seen other people do it. because i hate to say it (i don't, in reality, but y'all know what i mean LOL) but barton does actively mimic behaviors that he sees people do whenever he feels the absence of a certain emotion. he especially does this whenever he's trying to appear charming to other people, but like i said, he'll also try to use what he's seen his peers do as a guide as for what he should do in regards to empathy. and sometimes he may even seem a bit flustered before he's able to do this because he knows that it is expected of him to be able to empathize with people and can identify it in other people BUT knowing how to approach faking it has always been sort of hard for him even as an adult.
but yeahhh, that's just my own two cents about how barton sometimes break character that he is quote unquote ' normal, ' though he does try to mask this around people who aren't really familiar with him as simply being social awkwardness. however, it is part of a larger thing with him as despite the fact that he can blend in with the population REALLY well and also is pretty good at manipulating others, i suppose you could say that barton is still not an expert at ' constructing empathy ' because whenever someone is visibly hurt in front of him... he is more liable to act like he isn't sure what to do, than to put on an act immediately since he is likely to feel nothing first before anything else. and i realize that that is a rather unsettling thought, but i think that he is a lot more suspectible to doing this with people he doesn't know well / who he isn't particularly close to, as he's got a lot more practice with being falsely empathetic towards friends and/or sometimes even family members.
#OF MONSTERS AND MEN: musings.#YOUR NEED GREW TEETH: character study.#ANGER'S HELPED ME STAY ALIVE: headcanons.#yeah so i do know that this does bring up some questions because if barton mimics emotions then how do you know whether he's being truly-#genuine or not whenever he's interacting with someone? and wellll that is honestly a rather good question bc i feel like sometimes it IS-#probably hard to tell whether he is actually feeling these things rather than just putting on an act in front of people though i feel as if#it's possible that you'd be able to tell in general if you pay close attention to what his tells are for lying / i think humans just in-#general are able to sense whenever someone is not being 100% authentic and i believe i've mentioned this before BUT barton does sometimes-#give off weird / bad vibes sometimes so that could help another character figure out that he mayyy or may not be being real with them rn.#so yeahhh i know that this isn't the most happy or light thing go talk about at 10:30 in the morning on a Sunday but JSJSJ what can i sayyy#/ j JSJSJ nahhh I'm kidding around with y'all but i did promise you guys that I would post fluff so i still fully intend on doing that#my brain just decided it was time to explain some thing's about barton's behavior / some context behind it bc i always like delving deep-#Into my character like this (':#tw: potentially disturbing content.#tw: discussions of symptoms of a mental illness.#tw: mentions of manipulation.

throughout the series of drake and josh it pretty consistently implies that josh nichols is a christian (josh peck is jewish) and in the finale of the series helen (played by yvette nicole brown, not jewish[?]) is portrayed as a practicing jew
#i dont have a problem w either of those things necessarily i just find it interesting#if i had to guess. drake and josh was a mainstream that didnt wanna touch on religion generally#but josh was kind of a dork and usually when josh's religious beliefs are implied it is in dorkish ways#such as praying and thanking the lord after he has his first kiss.#but since dan schneider is jewish perhaps he wanted to make helen have a jewish wedding in the finale?#not that there needs to be a reason. but u do notice occasional jewish-related jokes in d&j but none of them are what you could call#offensive. in good faith that is. 'eric is a pacifist' 'i thought he was jewish?' like come on#text post#i have been rewatching drake and josh recently and i have had so many thoughts#im almost done. i just have left that stupid dance episode that they premiered last for the stupid reason#of a special dance-themed premiere night in fall 2007. they premiered the third episode of icarly and a new zoey 101 on the same night#which i think is so stupid. they should've aired really big shrimp last. it messed w my understanding of the series at the time lol#i remember not really knowing that the show was ENDING. like i knew icarly was starting & miranda was doing that#i thought really big shrimp was like just another special like go hollywood.#and then like two days later they premiered the helicopter episode for some reason#and i was like why is drake not famous in this. he just had a number 1 song in a superbowl commercial#and then a month later the dance one. which. if anything is satisfying about that as a final episode it's just that#that unnamed girl from the blues brothers episode who is obsessed w drake shows up again and congratulates them#and the very final line of the series is 'who is she?' because. because really who IS she?#that's a funny enough throwback to wrap things up with i suppose#drake and josh wasn't a highly serialized show so i can see how they could air those after the intended finale and act like it didn't matte#but i have to tell you it did fuck with my brain a bit at the time. lol. i still think of those episodes as having 'happened' after#and on paramount plus those episodes are still placed after really big shrimp. the injustice#but thats kinda messy. what a weird way to end such an influential and popular sitcom#season 4 had a few lowpoints while still also having some VERY solid episodes.#idk. ill have to continue my series review another time im getting way too longwinded here#helen dubois is jewish

Dear Tumblr, I have been desperately wanting to share this news with you since May last year and now I finally can: Gollancz is publishing not one, not two, but THREE of my queer medieval retellings over the next few years! You'll have seen me posting little bits about these books in the past, but I'm so excited to get to share them with you properly.
First up in 2025: The Wolf and His King, a queer retelling of Bisclavret that uses werewolfism as a metaphor to explore chronic pain and illness. It's also very much about gay yearning, fealty, and the mortifying ordeal of being known. Partially in second person and partially in verse, you can see my previous posts about it under the tag the wolf and his king or, for the really early ones, werewolves and gay yearning.
In 2026, I'm bringing you The Animals We Became [working title], which is a queertrans retelling of the Fourth Branch of the Mabinogi, looking at gender, compulsory heterosexuality, and trauma, via nonconsensual shapeshifting. Lotta trans vibes, lotta trauma; I wrote a first draft of this last year because I got carried away writing the sample chapters for my proposal and I'm excited to get deeper into it in edits. Aka t4t shapeshifting and trauma; generally tagged as also owls are transmasculine now.
And finally, in 2027, which is the one I've honestly been most excited to tell you guys about, it's To Run With The Hound [working title]. If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that I wrote a book with this title way back in 2018⊠well, the one I've sold isn't exactly that book, it's a proposal for how I intend to completely rewrite that book from the ground up, but yes, this is it: my CĂș Chulainn novel, my queer medieval Irish book, my (hopefully) magnum opus. Haven't written it yet, but the plan is to use a nonlinear narrative to explore why TĂĄin BĂł CĂșailnge is a tragedy, featuring a great many feelings about Fer Diad, LĂĄeg, and CĂș Chulainn himself.
There's a bit more detail and some FAQs on my website right now, but the most important thing is QUEER MEDIEVAL BOOKS WRITTEN BY SOMEBODY WITH MULTIPLE DEGREES IN MEDIEVAL LITERATURE. If that sounds like your jam, stick around.
#the wolf and his king#the animals we became#to run with the hound#also owls are transmasculine now#cu chulainn#blodeuwedd#bisclavret#writing#news#books

astro obvs. & notes #1 - general
authorâs note - this is for entertainment purposes only, none of this is fact. these are simply my own opinions!
- neptune 1H đ€ pisces rising, noticing their eyes first. the water influence to these placements adds something that draws you in like a current, no pun intended. i used to work with a pisces rising, and she literally looked like a pretty fish (lmfao) big, shiny eyes. either of these placements can find it incredibly easy to appear sensual or seductive.
- speaking of water placements! iâve also noticed pisces placements tend to take a lot of pictures around water. beaches, hot tubs, rivers.
- this can also be said for air signs (esp. libra) but with things they enjoy! iâm always seeing personal interest posts from libras, aquarians and geminis. music, video games, political causes, shows theyâre watching, food, celebrities, etc. anything they like, they post. anything.
- iâve never laughed harder than when iâm with people who have heavy gemini, capricorn, sagittarius and leo placements
- in my personal opinion and experience, capricorn risings are what people think scorpio rising is. iâve only met one scorpio rising irl (that i know of) and she did not fit martian/plutonian ruling at all. celebrity examples âŹïž
kim hongjoong of ateez. the intimidation factor, the style, sex appeal, the interest in piercings/tattoos. heâs a capricorn rising, with his chart ruler, saturn, in the sign of aries so we see a lot of red/martian influence from him as well.
megan fox. sheâs been a little fuckin weird ever since she dated mgk (that man makes me physically ill to look at much less read about) but! ïżŒshe had her bad bitch moments! being known primarily for her sex appeal + starring in jenniferâs body (a gothic treasure btw) i feel is very scorpio coded however she herself is a capricorn rising, with a sagittarius saturn in the 11h, more fire influence from her as well just like with hongjoong.
joan jett. THEE female guitarist of the 80s. her whole career was surrounded by sex, scandals, drugs, all the darker themes of rock n roll in general. sheâs another fire ruled capricorn rising and a sagittarius saturn in the 11h like megan. her style and even her personality has an edge to it, much more fitting for scorpio/plutonian stereotypes rather the capricorn ones. imo.
- actors whoâve done major/recognizable roles in horror usually have a capricorn neptune. neptune is imagination and capricorn is ruled by the devil card in tarot. combine the two and you have quite literally = dark imagination. celebrity examples âŹïž
mia goth staring in the X series as the main face of the trilogy
bill skarsgard being the main face of the IT remake as pennywise
evan peters as tate langdon in AHS, he also played jeffery dahmer recently for netflix.
- capricorn actually shows up quite a bit in the horror genre, esp. gore and paranormal. both actors and writers.
- sagittarius too, oddly enough. a lot of well known faces of horror have major sagittarius placements/stelliums/jupiter dominance.
- underdeveloped cancer placements are more manipulative and two faced than geminis. i see so much gem slander on here, and donât get me wrong, i love both cancer and gemini placements! however iâve met and befriended quite a few of both, and cancers by far have been the common denominator in issues around them more than once. stirring the pot then turning around and playing the victim when people are frustrated, lying, playing both sides to better their own situation, and even playing people against each other. iâve never seen such hateful behaviors from the geminis i know irl.
- aries men are much shyer compared to the women
- taurus women iâve met irl get pregnant very easily. venus? good coochie? idk
- grand trines are some of the most beautiful people iâve ever seen (a grand trine is when someoneâs big 3, so sun/moon/rising, are in the same element but in all 3 different signs. ex: virgo sun, taurus moon, capricorn rising)
- queer individuals with pisces placements can pass as straight pretty easily if they wanted to. most of them are chameleons
- aries risings iâm so sorry for the household you had growing up. i see martian childhoods usually being the ones who dealt with screaming matches, toxic parents, poverty and underlying issues with siblings that last into adulthood
- iâm not surprised at all when libra placements tell me theyâre in college for a general studies degree because they canât figure out what they wanna do yet
- a lot of fan favorite female characters in video games are canonically cancers
- if you think your rising sign doesnât suit you very well, try looking at whatever planet correlates with your gender identity. masculine: sun and mars, feminine: venus and moon. the houses and signs of these should help you out a little bit
- libra placements absolutely get favoritism at least once in their life, jobs/family dynamics especially
- sagittarius women usually have rough love lives, at least in the beginning. a lot of them try to save and help partners who donât deserve it and they get hurt badly in the process. same goes with pisces women
- virgo venus is not that bad of a placement as stereotypes make it out to be. clean freaks? yes. perfectionists? usually, yes. loyal? yes. remember the small things? yes. romantic? no. at least not in a cheesy way. sensual? yes.
- lilith aspects to any of the big 3 is a bad bitch placement. honorable mention is venus/lilith aspects as well
- air signs like spicy food just as much as fire signs
- a lot of rappers have heavy mercurial placements (virgo and gemini) (3h and 6h)
- mc aspecting venus in anyway is usually the person who fools around with coworkers/may even cheat on a partner with someone they work with. most people with this placement have definitely had a partner at one point or another worried about someone they work with. may be the type to have a âwork wifeâ/âwork husbandâ
- 6h chiron is the person whoâs life has been majorly impacted by their own or someone elseâs health. disabilities, chronic illnesses, stds, limb amputation, skin grafts, etc.
- aries moon and mercury combo = bad potty mouth, cursing is an almost unbreakable habit
- speaking of aries! aries and aquarius placements together in any of these âĄïž moon, venus, mars, lilith, pluto âĄïž usually have a tendency to jump around from partner to partner very quickly, including falling back into exes. their thoughts and opinions on people and things change SO quickly that they usually are the kind of people who have rosters (unintentionally). they are upfront, they donât lie or drag anyone along but they do seem to be restless when it comes to romance. even if they donât physically date a lot, they may often THINK of it, their minds going a million miles a minute
- geminis do not get the rep they deserve for being freaks. not only does the sign traditionally rule the throat/lungs/hands/nervous system, (choking, breath play, hickies, hand fetish/fingering, blindfolding and sub/dom dynamics) but itâs also ruled by the lovers card in tarot đïžđïž
- fixed signs đ€ tattoos
- sagittarius/capricorn/pisces/libra placements usually have issues with religion/spirituality growing up. either they were forced into one as kids and they have an unhealthy relationship with their god now as an adult or they simply struggle to find something that feels true to them. this is just my experience but every single friend iâve had whoâs left the christian church, had an interest in paganism/buddhism, joined the satanic temple, grew up as strict catholics, etc, have had these placements. religion is a revolving door for them and itâs a common subject of struggle in their life
- women with pisces placements tend fall into unhealthy relationships very easily, especially if theyâre heterosexual and dating men. they fall in love with the idea of love before the actual person presenting it. they are bossed around very easy and usually donât like confrontation. honorable mentions for this as well: pisces stellium, cancer stellium/mercury/saturn, 7h saturn
- cheesy hallmark movies make me think of taurus/libra venus placements, 7h venus as well
- 5h cancer/moon/venus, cancer rising/moon dom, 5h/8h synastry aspects please be wary of accidental pregnancies! wrap it before you tap it cause yâall extra fertile đ
- most well known streamers/youtubers have 10h stelliums, including their venus. a lot of them will end up dating another social media presence/someone who shares a platform/job with them
yay first post! pardon any spelling errors iâm proof reading this half asleep ᶻ đ đ° .á

okay but hear me out: hotch and bau!reader are married and she absolutely is the mom friend so the team calls them mom and dad
simultaneously
i LOVEEEE that cw; fem!reader, brief talk of illness, sweet domestic fluff (i'm crying)
interrupting the current, comfortable silence of the car - mind the radio playing lightly - spencer erupted into a sneezing fit, one that lasted at least a good ten seconds.
once his sneezing had ceased, you turned in your seat, allowing you to peer into the back at him. aaron's eyes quickly darted towards you, double checking your seatbelt was still properly laid across your chest despite your movement - just by force of habit.
"do you need tissues..?"
spencer weakly nodded his head in response, you plucked a few from the package you had conveniently stuffed into your pocket.
"how about a throat lozenge?" spencer croaked quietly and hopefully after he blew. the congestion was clear in his voice, as well as on the hoarse side.
"here." aaron didn't skip a beat, answering immediately. he dug into his pocket to retrieve a few, reaching his arm back behind his seat to hand the cough drops off to reid, all while keeping his eyes set on the road ahead.
emily snorted out a laugh, surprised, but not surprised at the same time. "you just happened to have some on you?"
"cold and flu season," aaron shrugged, flicking on his blinker and taking a right turn.
"and," you finished for him, looking out the window as he turned through the intersection, "with jack, the amount of germs he brings home from school. then you add his age to the mix - being more susceptible and all - you can never be too careful." you too shrugged, mirroring aaron's to a tee. "same goes for a team of profilers."
"speaking of," aaron searched through his other pocket, retrieving a pocket-sized container of purell and handing that back as well. "best we try not spread it if we can. the last thing we need is everyone calling out simultaneously."
"or," you reached into yours, grabbing a small hand gel also. "this one's scented. warm vanilla sugar, if you'd prefer this over the generic. and you know what," you adjusted in your seat again, facing aaron a little more head on, "we should probably stop and pick up vitamin c tablets for everyone before we get back to the pd. just to be on the safe side."
"ugh you two are so married and so mom and dad," emily feigned disgust as aaron nodded his head in agreement to your suggestion, but was still immensely entertained nonetheless, "it's sickening, pun intended. are you going to do the forehead check next?"

Dissection/Theory Analysis of Able:
So we all know about how Caine constantly feels undermined by his little brother's overachieving, but how does Able feel about it? I think the things that he does aren't ill-intended - he's instead trying to keep up with the great achievements of his older brother(how Caine knows multiple languages and has many accolades) and in his admiration of his brother's feats incidentally surpasses them from all the effort he puts into each act. Each pursuit he bests Caine in is just an attempt to better understand his brother by becoming a master in the things Caine likes.
Able is inherently people-pleasing, and that initial urge to perform exceptionally and be praised for it(starting with Caine and their parents) has expanded so much that the need to be the "good brother" is something that has fully taken over his identity - causing his gentleman act and his superior skill in everything Caine does. It is no longer just having the right cards to play at the right time to impress others, he must always be on top and visibly be doing so(aka why his face is the four aces in a suit of cards).
But, he's become so blinded by the need to excel in everything he does that he's gone into complete tunnel vision with his "perfect" facade and feels that his brother is the closest thing he has to a real connection with someone without having to be "the best". And even then, with his own brother, he's not comfortable enough to completely let his guard down and be a person without focusing on pleasing everyone around him
This is a long ask sorry haha
I love my man Able and I have so many theories about how he's handling all the pressure(I'm down bad for him AND want to psychoanalyze him since you gave us such juicy material in the Freakshow fic(which I'd guess is at least partially true to the direction you're heading with him in the carnival and normal aus)). He's my poor little meow meow(even tho he seems mostly fine in all the art we've seen of him) :)
Freakshow Au by: @hootbon
This made me so incredibly happy i couldn't help but doodle him over and over,,
I love psycho-analysis of my characters,, gonna read this over and over.. man you put my ideas for him into WORDS and that's the coolest thing ever.. i never thought Able would be described as "people pleasing" but MAN.. YOU ARE ABSOLUTLY CORRECT... GOD DAM...
Also aboslutely estatic that you took his psycho-analysis from the chosen one fic.. yesss.. i am very happy with Able and Caine's relationship and I'm especially happy with freakshow able's writing in both the fic and just in general. thank you for this,, made my night!

Anti-ism is psuedoscience and a moral panic rolled into one
One of the most dangerous things about therapyspeak leaving the intended audience is that now antis feel fully qualified to tell survivors how they should and should not be coping, even to the point of attempting to override/contradict the advice of certified therapists.
I've had antis tell me the fiction I enjoy writing is retraumatizing myself, that I am doing harm by writing it; when I responded that actually, my therapist signed off on the stories I wrote (even when I mentioned the specific phrase "consensual nonconsent"), they said that my therapist doesn't know what she's talking about since she sanctioned my coping mechanism and explicitly labels her practice as kink-positive. Antis are attempting to make me, a survivor with mental illness that could ultimately be fatal if I leave a psychologist's care, disregard the advice of the medical professional supervising me when they have no certification at all. This could, if I were a more vulnerable person, be dangerous for not only my trust in my therapist, but it could sabotage my treatment as well.
They are using what amounts to little more than memes, based on misinformation, that use a few intelligent-sounding phrases that very rarely apply the way they think they do, as a wedge to attempt to assert themselves as authorities who can, with certainty, dictate the appropriate course of treatment for a total stranger, including telling them to disregard the therapies administered by a trained professional.
In other words? Antis are frighteningly similar to anti-vaxxers, who took medical terminology they didn't understand, applied it to shaky cause-effect logic models, started a moral panic, used statements generated by that moral panic as a citogenesis-fueled proof their initial starting of the moral panic was justified, damaged the doctor-patient relationship of millions of total strangers, jeopardized the healthcare of those strangers who now believed their doctor to be incompetent for following accepted medical best practice, and fomented dangerous fringe political ideologies that coupled themselves to other conspiracies based on rejecting commonly-acknowledged practices.
"Vaccines cause autism! Narrative therapy that implements any form of controversial kink causes retraumatization of the writer, reader, or both, and starts the writer on an inescapable slippery slope to becoming an abuser themself! It's better to be dead than autistic! It's better to suffer feelings of shame and/or isolation in silence than it is to use fiction to put a voice to your feelings! Your child is vaccine-damaged from thimerosal and is getting sick from virus-shedding! Your fiction caused me to groom myself and you're a porn-addicted monster for not facing your trauma the proper way! Your doctor doesn't know what's good for you, I do! Only I understand how your body/mind work and what treatment is appropriate for you! Your doctor has been manipulated by Big Pharma/kink supporters! The empirical-study-informed best practices for pediatrics/psychology are what's wrong, not me, whose research is carefully informed by TikTok videos and Twitter posts carefully formulated to cause amygdalar growth to keep me afraid so I will continue to engage with fear-mongering content that causes my politics to shift towards the alt-right, who coincidentally also push narratives based in fear, not in medicine! I am being perfectly logical here!"
Antis fundamentally reject empirical medicine just the way anti-vaxxers do. They just seem to get a free pass on it since it's "only" mental healthcare they are sabotaging, and few people acknowledge it as something as legitimate and lifesaving as other medical care.

Hey there! Could you possibly write a Sandor Clegane x gender neutral reader where Sandor has a soft spot for reader and reader feels the same? He tries to hide it but one day reader getâs hurt and he patches them up and maybe confessions come out?
đŠ Little Birdâ Sandor Clegane x gn!Reader
Summary: You get injured in an ambush. Sandor carries you to safety and takes care of you.
Tags: #so much hurt/comfort, #a teensy bit of angst, #fluffy ending, #potentially OOC Sandor Clegane but personally I think he is pretty baby girl, #request
Warnings: Gender Neutral, no use of Y/N, descriptions of blood and injury, mentions of death, cannon compliant threats of violence, no beta and no âragrets' [1,371 words]
AN: This is a request by @agender-wolfie. I really hope that this is what you were looking for! It came out a bit longer than I intended, but I am such a sucker for hurt/comfort tropes I really shouldnât be surprised lmao. I wrote this all in one sitting and I havenât done any editing so please excuse any errors. Happy reading! đŠ Love BB
If you like this work my requests are currently open! So please give me your ideas ;)
You hissed a curse, gravelly and threadbare, as Sandor sidestepped another fallen tree.
A jumble of vulgar expressions that barely registered to you as they left your mouth. Almost all of them taught to you by the giant man holding you to his chest. The hound cradled you surprisingly gently, but his tension was evident. It was written all over him.
His scarred face, which you so rarely got the opportunity to study, was pulled into a broken grimace. The rest of him taut like a wire ready to snap beneath his armour. If you werenât bleeding all over him, you might have reached up to prod the furrow of his brow. A silly attempt to smooth away Sandorâs permanent scowl.
The thought shattered as another wave pain tore through your ribs. Every bump in the path sowing fresh agony in the ruined skin and muscle.
Sandor ran a calloused thumb over the side of your knee in apology. Uttering clumsy noises of comfort as he picked up the pace.
âWeâre almost there. Hold on just a bit longer, little bird.â
His gruff voice was cut with a noticeable amount of panic. Your brow scrunched at the unusual sound. You had gotten used to many things about Sandor as you travelled North with him. His rough sense of humour, bitter attitude, scarred face and huge stature were familiar to you by now. Underneath those things, his kindness and his softheartedness had become apparent to you too.
All the vulnerable pieces of himself that he smothered and choked beneath layers of vulgar humour and recklessness, had been presented to you in glimpses as you got to know him. But panic? Panic was new to you.
The farmhouse that Sandor had marked out in the distance finally drew into view. Up close it was a measly grey thing. The stone masonry looked haphazard at best but its chimney puffed with life. Behind it a barn lay with its doors open and rattling in the freezing wind.
You expected Sandor to head straight for the shelter of the barn but instead he strode to the front door. The family of four, seated around the dining room table inside, scrambled back as he slammed open the door with his usual subtlety. Which was to sayâ none at all.
You groaned as the sudden movement jostled your wound. Normally you would have chastised him for being so rude but your head was swimming. Too weak to lift your hand, you focused your energy on your eyes. Willing them to stay open, if not for your sake then for the sake of your worried companion.
An old man stepped forward to speak but Sandor cut him off, âOne of you better be a healer, because if they die I will mount all of your heads outside on sticks.â
It was an ugly threat and they paled. The youngest boy whimpered looking suddenly ill. A younger woman with dark hair and a generous smattering of freckles stepped forward. She gestured a slightly shaky hand towards the table before him, before turning to her family.
âClear the table, quickly. We can lay them down here,â her attention shifted back to the massive man standing in the doorway, âIâm not a healer by profession but Iâll do everything I can.â
Sandor seemed pleased enough by this answer. The rest of the family had been wise enough not to put up a fight and so Sandor stepped forward. He eased his grip and lay you down on the hastily cleared surface.
He moved to step away and let this stranger do her work but you whimpered. Fingertips clutching at air until he shifted back into reach.
A leather belt was stuffed between your teeth as your tunic was torn up the side. Unfamiliar hands grasped at your arms and legs. Holding you down with a bruising grip. All the while, Sandor brushed his bloodied fingers over your forehead and through your hair. The warmth of his skin a small consolation for the pain you were about to endure.
The woman lifted a needle and thread. With a glance at Sandor and his affirming nod she began to count down and you closed your eyes, unable to look.
Three.
Two.
One.
Fire. Your body was on fire. You arched off the table. Trying to escape the agony, the needle slowly piecing your flesh back together. The table shook as you thrashed but the hands holding you down didnât falter. Sandorâs gravely words of comfort were the last things ringing in your ears as the world went black.
âââ  ïœĄïŸâ: *.✠.* :âïŸ. âââ
The first thing that you noticed when you woke up was the lack of pain. Your side still ached, the wound tender, but it was a dull throbbing now. No longer, the screaming torture it was as Sandor carried you away from where you were ambushed.
The second was the warmth. You couldnât remember the last time you had been this warm since you and Sandor had journeyed across the border into the North. Sandor.
You opened your eyes slowly. The lighting was dim but from what you could tell you were inside the barn. The door was closed now though and soft orange candlelight illuminated the space.
You lay on your good side underneath a thick layer of blankets, and next to you lay the man your eyes sought for. His arm tucked you to him, large calloused hand resting somewhere on your lower back.
His heart thudded rhythmically beneath where your head lay on his chest. His even breathing and faint snores filled the quiet. Despite your inner protests it was the most comfortable you had been in years.
You gazed up at him, not wanting to wake him just yet. Sandor didnât sleep nearly enough and you were content to watch the way the candlelight danced across his skin. It caught on his scarred cheek. Shadows flickering on the panes of his face.
Unable to resist you lifted a hand to his cheek. Your touch was featherlight but his eyes snapped open. Sandorâs gaze flicked to you immediately. Scanning you for distress and finding none, his body relaxed.
âSeven Hells, I thought you were going to die. Never do that again,â he said gruffly. His cheeks were flushed but he made no move to shift away from you.
Your voice was cracked from screaming but you still managed to mumble, âMâSorry.â
Sandor sighed, âIt wasnât your fault, little bird.â He reached into his pack and pulled out a water-skein. Unscrewing the top he held it out towards you.
âHere, drink. Then you can go back to sleep,â he said.
âThank you.â
The moisture eased the pain in your throat and soon you were snuggled back up under Sandorâs arm. The wind howled through the rafters and you both sat in silence for a little while.
Your thoughts broke the quiet, âThank you for carrying me here. Thank you for staying.â
Sandorâs eyes met yours, they were unguarded and soft in a way that seemed reserved for you. Reserved for these conversations in the dark.
His voice was low as he replied, âI would have carried you to the ends of the earth, little bird.â
You studied him, the scars that mottled his skin, the cut on his brow and the curl of his mouth. Something deep within you settled, like a cat stretching out on a rug.
âYouâre a good man, Sandor Clegane,â you said.
The conviction in your voice hit him harder than any blow on the battlefield ever had. The tidal wave of emotions that followed threatened to take him under but he swallowed them down.
You pretended not to notice his watery eyes and he lifted his spare hand to stroke your head. âGo to sleep, Iâll keep you safe.â
You nodded sleepily, too tired to fight it off any longer. A few seconds pass before you feel it. The soft press of his lips on your forehead. They linger there for a while before he pulls back, the warmth that they leave behind searing like a brand on your skin. You smile as you drift off, lulled to sleep by his warm embrace and steady breathing.
âGoodnight, little bird.â

sara has been poisoned.
you know this because she has been sick longer than any fever lasts for, but more so because youâve spent nearly the entire past decade of your life studying poisons in sumeru. the anatomy of a poisoning is an old friend of yours; the poison, the poisoned organism, the injury to the cells, and the symptoms and signsâwhich is usually succeeded by death, although you are not so unskilled to undo the effects of a simple almond-based poison. no, the poison itself is not your concern, hastily and poorly concocted as it is.
no, your concern is the bastard who would dare do such a thing to your wife.
sara shivers as you pat a damp cloth to her forehead. her face is flushed with fever, sweat beading on her neck. her fingers grip and relax the bedding of her futon, eyes squeezed shut as the poison rips through her. youâve already administered the antidote, but the aftereffects are still something sara must weather alone. it makes your heart ache. you are used to seeing your wife as a pillar of strength, so to see her reduced to quivering frailness brings out a grief in your heart you only experienced once, as your mother lay dying. you lean down and press a kiss to her forehead, squeezing her hand. sara groans, but some of the tension in her expression melts at the gesture.
just then, the door slides open with a soft sound. by the cadence of the footstepsâeven, controlled, but with the weight of the houseâs masterâyou know it is your brother, ayato. you do not look at him when you speak, your voice deceptively soft.
âhave you discovered the culprit, brother?â
ayato hums behind you. âi have. one kujou kurose, a minor officer from one of the kujou branch families.â
âa fellow member of the kujou?â
âyes. though, he has made his disapproval of takayukiâs adoption of sara clear from the beginning. now that takayuki is out of the picture, i suspect he felt bold enough to make his move and get rid of her as well.â
you snort derisively as you brush some damp hair out of saraâs face. âhe would commit treason out of jealousy?â
âthe human heart is fickle,â ayato says evenly. âso, what is it you plan to do, sister?â
you tuck the sheets a little tighter around sara, then rise to your feet. you turn, and offer ayato a carefully measured smileâthe smile your father taught both you and ayato to wear; the one that brings with it unrest. ayato recognises it innately, and a spark of amusement lights up his usually placid eyes.
âwhy, invite them to tea, of course.â
-
kujou kurose is a poor actor.
you learn this as you sit across from him at tea, listening to him ramble and rave about just how terrible it is for general kujou to have fallen ill. your hands squeeze your teacup tight enough that the glass might have cracked in your grip. instead, you grit your teeth and patiently endure his incessant blabbering, before insisting he have some tea.
âsakura blend,â you elaborate. âthe petals came from the sacred sakura. it is intended to promote good health.â
kujou kurose idly strokes his beard and chuckles. âis that so? then let us drink to general kujouâs continued good health. please, pour some for me.â
you smileâpolite as everâand lean forward to lift the teapot. the collar of your kimono shifts with the action, and you can feel kuroseâs eyes linger on the brief flash of your exposed collarbones. a stab of annoyance flickers through you, but you tamp it down. you pour his tea, then return to your seated position. kurose, to his credit, is not so barbaric to forget the etiquette of tea. he sips his tea from his cup slowly, expression smoothing out as the warm, sweet liquid tips down his throat. your smile does not leave your face. when he sets his cup back down, his expression is utterly calm, relaxed.
fool.
your own tea is untouched. you watch him carefully as you speak. âis the tea to your liking, my lord?â
kurose gives you a look. opens his mouth and tries to speak.
he fails.
you cannot stop the sheer delight on your face as you watch the man realise he cannot move at all. his eyes, once arrogant and deceptive, are now filled solely with fear. rage flickers across his expression briefly, but the fear resurges without mercy as he experiences what it is like to have no control over your body. as he remains stone-still in paralyzed fear, you raise your own cup to your lips and take a sip. the tea is warm and sweetâbut to your seasoned palette of poisons, the subtle bitter hints of paralytic are obvious.
not that it bothers you. youâve been ingesting your own poisons (in controlled doses, of course) since your first year at the akademiya to get a leg up on your coursemates in describing and documenting the effects of assorted poisons. suffice to say, youâve developed a reasonable amount of tolerance to poisons, especially the ones you crafted yourself.
others, like kurose? not so much.
when you set your teacup down, there is nothing in his expression but despair. that dark, vindictive part of you howls with glee at the sight, and you give him your first true smile of the afternoon. when you speak, your voice is low, like a serpent slithering through tall grass.
âdid you think i would not know, kurose?â you use his first name casually, as befitting your status both as a kamisato, and the generalâs wife. âthe walls have ears, kurose, and you have been so very loud.â
his throat bobs. you had given him just enough of a dosage to paralyze most of his muscles, but not enough to freeze the ones in his lungs or heart. at least, not yet.
âi know you poisoned my wife,â you continue, your tone hardly betraying anything. the conversation flows as if you were merely speaking of ther weather. âand i know it is because you are too much of a bitch to face her in honorable combat.â
if kurose could move, he would have flinched. but he canât, so the best he can manage is a frenzied look of pure panic in his eyes.
âso you resorted to these⊠pathetic, underhanded methods you know sara would never dream of partaking in. and you thought, like this, you might win. and even if she didnât die, you could not be implicated because of a lack of evidence, and that saraâs own respect for the law would let you walk free. but iâm afraid your cowardice is only matched by your stupidity,â you spit, unable to contain your vitriol any longer. âbecause if you think i subscribe to such restrictions, you are sorely mistaken.â
you have been away from inazuma for years, studying in the land of wisdom. and many have forgotten just who you are, but you are a kamisato. they call your sister a heron, sweet and beautiful. they call your brother a fox, cunning and charming. but you? you are nothing so warm-blooded. you are a snake in the grass, coiled in on yourself, fangs filled with venom. and archons help whoever is foolish enough to tread too close to your nest.
âmake an attempt on my wifeâs life again, kurose, and i will watch the light leave your eyes myself.â
and with that, you stand, forgoing a bow, and leave the trembling man in your living room with a swish of your silk kimono.
-
sara blinks as she looks down at one of her documents. sheâs since recovered from her illness, and has resumed her duties as general. currently, sheâs going over her backlog of paperwork that accumulated while she was unwell. and one of them is particularly oddâkujou kuroseâs resignation letter.
âstrange,â she mutters, and you look up from your embroidery to glance at her. you tilt your head in question.
âwhat is, dearest?â
âuncle kurose resigned,â she says, scanning over the document again. âhe said he feels âtoo oldâ to keep attending to his role within the clan. heâll be⊠taking an extended trip to liyue to recuperate, apparently.â
you only hum at that. âmm, it is not too surprising. he is quite old, no?â
âwellâŠâ sara sighs. âhe is old, yes, but he is also⊠tenacious. i didnât think heâd resign unless he died. so itâs just weird, i suppose.â
you set your embroidery down with a smile, rising to your feet to pad softly over to her side. your brush her bangs away from her forehead and press a soft kiss to her temple. sara makes a tiny, surprised noise, a delicate flush settling on her cheeks as your hand rises to cup her jaw.
âyouâre so caring, my dear,â you chuckle. âiâm sure heâs quite fine. it isnât like he was threatened or anythingâheâs still a kujou, after all. who would dare?â
sara sighs again, and leans into your touch. âyouâre right.â
âi always am,â you quip, and sara rolls her eyes affectionately. she turns her head and presses a quick kiss to your palm.
âi love you,â she whispers, and your eyes soften. you lower your head to catch her lips in a soft kiss. she tastes like peppermint tea and sugar, the blend you made specifically for her. you breathe your reply against her lips.
âi love you too, my dear.â

When the end comes
You loved him with all your heart, held onto the person you knew will never be yours; but, the only regret you had was, you weren't able to tell him about those feelings.
Pairing: best friends brother JK x reader
Genre: ANGSTY, unrequited love
W/c: mid length?
warnings: depressing thoughts and implied suicidal thoughts, character dea*h, workplace harrasment, illness, family drama and step-parent, one sided love from oc' s side, tattoo artist Jk, age gape
A/N- This story is incomplete and I don't intend to continue it, but I'm still posting it because I wanted to share it with you guys and since many of you expressed your desire to read it :â -â )
It was during the autumn season when he first met you.
Not in a literal sense; but that was the day he thought he finally come to knew you. A side of you, he never thought he would be able to witness.
Just like the sight in front of him right now.
He did not even fathom the idea of seeing you like this. Beautiful eyes which once shined so brightly under the sun; are now closed. Not even a hint of flickering of your eyelashes which you usually do while being extremely nervous.
Now, autumn has returned again; but, despite the comforting warmth of the cozy weather being replaced by the harsh wind blowing away the leaves from the trees, creating the atmosphere unbearably gloomy and dull.
Because the warmth is gone, along with you.
âŠ
15 years agoâŠ
âWhy is he coming, now!? Fuck, I have to meet Sam!â Jia was beyond frustrated after knowing that her brother was coming to picked her up from the school.
Both you and Jia had been friends since your childhood. From being scolded by teachers to helping each other in anything and everything and being the âcrime in partnersâ duo, everyone in your school knew you two were inseparable.
She was always been a free-spirited girl. Generous and helpful, she was kind of a friend who stick by your side in bad times. Other than that, there were many good things about her and one of those were, her brother.
Jeon Jungkook.
The first time when you laid your eyes on him, you couldnât able to remove the image of his glowing face ever since then. He was gorgeous as well as kind. You were smitten by his beauty. He was popular among girls. With a face like that, it was a very common fact, girls often got trapped by his good-looks which wielded them to the world of imagination.
And, you were one of those girls.
You often found yourself daydreaming about him, made silly scenarios in your little head. Your weekly visits to his sisterâs house and getting to watch him closely more than any of those girls could, doesnât help with your increasing amount of fake scenarios growing inside of your mind.
It was a stupid little crush, but you still held onto the possibilities of those cringe worthy romantic stories in your head to manifest it into reality.
Whenever he was around, every time you got a little bit shy but you tried your best to hide it from others.
âSomeone clearly isnât happy to see me.â Your best friendâs brother sing song those words towards his sister, pointing out her scowl which was very much evident on her face upon seeing him. The fact that she was planning on meeting her so-called-date in the name of fake extra classes would be caught red-handed, made her panicked and mad.
âH-hello.â You asked him even though your heart was racing at the speed of 100 mph and your hand was sweating like the Niagara waterfall, you still conjured up some courage to start the conversation.
âMoon? How are you?â He immediately replied with a sweet smile on his face. People often compared his face with the bunny and you can say why. There are some significant similarities.
You got a little bit flustered whenever he used that name. He gave that name to you because you loved the moon. So much so that you escaped from your school with your Jia to watch the night sky.
It was the first time you witnessed the true beauty of the moon. Sitting on the edge of the river near her house, you both admired the shinning moon light spreading on the water as it sparkled.
You both got scolded for your little escaped not just from your parents but your teachers also. From that moment, he gave you the name âmoon.â
He was in his sophomore year of college, got an scholarship to study in abroad. It was winter at that time when he got back in his own country during holidays. Even though the atmosphere was cold, Jungkook radiated warmth wherever he goes. He was always been the one who shined brightly in whatever he did.
Jiaâs endless pleading didnât helped much in convincing her brother, so she didnât had any choice but to went back home. Through out the way to her home, she kept on cussing him.
âYou go on dates too! Even, you have a girlfriend!â That was the first time you experienced your first heart break. It felt like someone had put a knife into your heart.
âSo? Are you the same age as me?â Jungkook reasoned with her but the thing you noticed that, he didnât denied it. Your friend wasnât lying.
The brother-sister duo busy their selves in an argument about âJia should go on a date or notâ where you went silent, had a emotional turmoil within you. It was so random, your little heart werenât prepare for that news.
The thought of your crush loving someone else who was never gonna be you, shattered your heart. That day, you cried your heart out into your pillow at night when no one was around to heard your broken sobs.
âŠ
Thanksgiving came and it was time for celebration. It was the time for eating delicious food, show our gratitude to the universe and spending time with our loved ones.
But, you werenât particularly enjoying.
Every year, the Jeonâs and your family celebrated most of the occasions together, due to your father and Mr. Jeon being friends apart from your friendship with their daughter. But , this year, one more family joined in. You didnât mind if it was just another random someone, but it wasnât someone random.
The food was excellent as always. Mrs. Jeon had always been a great cook. All the food was mouth-watering but still, you found your self concentrating more on the scene unfolding in front of you rather than your food.
Jungkook invited his girlfriend to his house on Thanksgiving. That was the first time you saw the girl, your crush was in love with.
She was beautiful would be an understatement. Long, silky hair which was dyed brown, tall with a sweet personality. Anyone could have said on the first glance at them that, they were made for each other. There were many similarities between them too, like both were studying at the same college, Jungkook being art major and she was in the literature department, both belonged to the same city but never met each other before and the most importantly, both were at the same age.
Where you were four years younger than him, basically same age as his sister.
He probably think of you as his sister. No. Definitely he did.
You were burning with rage when you saw them holding hands. Even though everyone was around them, they didnât seem to care much. It also seemed like Jungkookâs family liked her so much. They were happy that their son have met someone who made him happy. Both their families were happy about their relationship.
When it was evening, everyone was chattering and laughing inside the house but you were on the balcony, standing alone. You couldnât help but cry. It was too much for you. Youâd been crying for days now, but now that youâve seen his girlfriend, there was no denying that it was real. Their relationship was real and you didnât had a chance anymore.
âMoon is watching the moon?â You didnât noticed when Jungkook came here. You abruptly wiped your tears away from your cheeks. He came closer to you and stand beside you, you took a step away, tried harder to hide your face from him.
When he noticed you hadnât answered his question, he continued âI picked the right name for you, didnât I?â he asked again, tried to humor you but you were nowhere near to laugh or even smile at his jokes.
You were standing there silently, not staring at the sky anymore. You lowered your gaze and your head fall downwards, shoulders slumped. He must had sensed that something was wrong with you, thatâs why he asked âHey, are you okayâ,â
Before he can finish his sentence, an ugly sob slipped past your mouth, unable to held it back anymore. This time he didnât held back, he placed his hand on your shoulder and made you look at him. You were insistent on not to face him so he settled with just holding you by your shoulder.
Tears were streaming down your cheeks without any resistance but his hands felt comforting even though he was the one hurting you at that time.
âWhat happened? Does someone hurt you?â you could sense the concern in his voice, his voice was so soft like he was afraid of hurting you. That made you cry even harder.
â____, please tell me what happened?â This time he was rubbing your arms up and down, a gesture of comfort. He patiently stand there until you calmed down and was ready to talk.
When he saw you finally wiping your tears away, he took a loose strand of your hair and tuck it behind your ear. That little affection felt like someone poked a needle into your heart.
âI like someone.â
You whisper to him , tried your hardest to not burst out crying again. You saw his expression turned into confusion, so you continued âBut, He doesnât like me.â
Again, your eyes were filling with tears. The image of them together encrusted into your mind will always hunt your down for sure.
Jungkook seemed to contemplate on how to respond to you. Then, he asked âHow could you know that he doesnât likes you?â
âBecause, he has a girlfriend.â
Jungkook was taken aback by your statement. He looked at you with sympathy in his eyes, like he was sad about the situation you were in.
âI- are you sure? Also, do I know them by any chance?â
You avoided his gaze but nodded to his question. You were afraid that he might know about your secret crush on him. What if, he hates you after knowing that he was the person you likes?
No no, you couldnât let that happen.
âhow old is he?â
âSame age as yours. And, Iâm sure that he has a girlfriend. Iâve seen them together the other day. You- you might know him but I donât knowâŠâ You shifted on your feet, fidgeted under his curious gaze. He was staring at you, you felt that even though you were looking at the other direction.
âMay I know his namâ ,â
âNo.â Before he could ask the question, you dismissed immediately. Thereâs no way in hell you were gonna tell him that.
After seeing your defensive state, he didnât push that question onto you anymore.
âOkay. You know, youâre a beautiful girl, right? Youâll find someone better than him in the future who will love you.â His smile was surreal, he was looking at you like you were the only one existed in the world, Eyes so gentle.
He was such a kind person, always helping who was in need, from offering jacket to a random person at a cold night to rescuing you from getting embarrassed in front of thousands of people on your first day of period. Even if you tried to assume that he was being caring only to you, that youâre special to him, you knew it wasnât true.
You were just a random girl who was happened to be his sisterâs friend.
He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and gave it to you. Your tears were as stubborn as you were, âIf he is my age then, that means he is older than you â,â the realization hit him.
ââ___, he didnât do anything to you right?â his worrisome expression made you think that why does that matter? His brows were pinched as he searched for your eyes.
âN-no, why are you asking that?â
âYou should be careful from people, especially older guys. Iâm not saying all the older guys are bad, but you havenât see much of the world yet, so it might be difficult for you to identify who is good. You also havenât matured enoughâ,â
âWhat do you mean by that!?â you got offended by the those words. Matureness doesnât comes from age, also why was he acting like a seventy years old grandpa?
He got off guard from the sudden change in your tone. Shifted on his feet, he tried to make you understand his prospective, âI mean, many guys in our college targets younger girls like you to take advantage of, and⊠I donât want that to happen to you.â
âW-why?â you wiped your nose with his handkerchief as you asked.
âWho wants something bad happens to the people they care about?â his smile was so genuine, the way he looked at you back then, made you feel things youâd never felt for anyone else.
That night you realized that, maybe, your silly little crush on him wasnât just a crush. It was more than that. Something that might ruin you in the end but, still you let that thing to engulfed you completely.
That night, you found comfort in the person who was the reason behind your heart break.
âŠ
That year, your father got transferred to a different country, so without a doubt, it was the time when you part your ways with your best friend.
It was painful, parting ways with the friend youâve spend your almost entire life, but whatâs more painful, was not able to see your childhood love ever again.
That was the last time you saw Jungkook on your way to the airport, walking hand in hand with his girlfriend.
You didnât knew back then when someoneâs in love, how they looked like. That radiant smile on his face and the glitter in his eyes when he looked at her shined so brightly made you think that, maybe it was the face of a man in love.
But, the sad thing was, you were not the reason behind that smile on his face.
âŠ
Life wouldnât be anymore shittier.
After you left your country, you tried your hardest to overcome and forget about Jungkook.
You left everything behind and those memories youâd made with some of the closest people there, werenât leaving your mind even for some moments. Every little thing you did back then, reminded you of them, especially Jungkook.
Still, you managed.
You did graduated from a college and got a job. Everything was going fine until you found out that you had pancreatic cancer.
Doctors said that it wasnât in itâs last stage yet but after thousands of medications and appointments for half an year, before that day, they declared that you only had 10 months to live only.
Not even an year.
It was so unfair. You had dreams and goals which you still had to achieve but life had other plans for you.
Your health wasnât well enough to maintain a 9-5 job, but, you still did it because you didnât wanted to be a burden on your family.
You were twenty-four when you realized your life was going to end soon.
âWhat is this!? Are you gonna present this in front of the client?â Your boss shouted at you, that bald-faced nuisance who doesnât even know how to pronounce âfutureâ. Yeah, his future was as clear as his empty bald-head.
Youâve submitted the same project for the third time, because he wasnât âsatisfiedâ with your work, but the truth was, he doesnât even turned the first page of it to check. Clearly, he was just messing around with you or to be honest, harassing you.
The reason behind it â rejection. You rejected his offer of âget a promotion just by spending a night with himâ. He was adamant on sleeping with you. His flirty remarks wasnât very subtle, you knew this pervert would come to this point at sometime.
âMake this again!â he threw the file across the table towards you. It hits you and you cursed under your breath.
âWhat was that?â he asked, his chimpanzee like face contort with anger once again.
He got a pretty punchable face.
âHave you checked my project, sir?â there was mockery in your voice which his one brain cell wasnât able to comprehend.
âWhat nonsense are you talking about?â his brows were pinched together, flared his nose like a fucking dragon.
âI submitted the same project for the third time yet, you didnât noticed that. Is your ego got hurt so much so that after my rejection, youâre doing this pity things to me now?â
His face goes through seven stages of grief, fear flashed through his eyes but, soon turned into rage. He abruptly stood up from his chair, banging his fist on the table, âWhat the hell are you talking about!? Have you forgotten your place? Donât cross the limit, ____. Youâre nothing, a good for nothing! You should know that, Iâm your senior here, talk to me with respect! Or â,â
âOr what? Are you gonna complain? You know, Iâm also going to complain about somethingâŠâ You said, your tone as calm as ever but eyes hard as a rock.
He knew, what filthy texts he had sent you and obviously, you didnât deleted them even though he had told you to. You thought, he might explode right at that moment out of anger, âAre you threatening me? Huh? What? Are you gonna complain about me now?â
âYes, you asshole.â
âBitchâ,â He was going to hit you with a file but before he could do that, your colleagues interrupted and he stopped midway, pretending like nothing happened.
You stormed out of his office, never minding him calling your name continuously. Everyone in your office looked at you like youâd grown two horns on your head. You didnât gave them any attention and straight up went to the CEOâs office.
He had threatened you countless times about how you were gonna lose your job if you donât work how he wants you to, accordingly.
But, you had nothing to lose anymore.
After you filed a complain and submitted the resignation letter, you left that company. For good.
On the way to your home, you called your parents and told the you left your job. Your step-mom was more furious than your own dad.
Of course, you knew that would happen but what was the benefit of continuing the job when you wonât be alive anymore.
You hang up the call as soon as you heard her shouting from the other side.
You felt lost. What were you doing all these years?
Barely surviving.
You didnât even know how it felt to live life. Not surviving, living.
All you did was, earning money with your fragile health to make it stronger but instead, it worsen even more at the end.
Now, you were on the brink of death.
Is it okay to leave everything behind? You thought. It wasnât like you had much left in your life anyway. Your parents were stressed all the time because of you. Your sister were depressed after knowing about your condition.
Is it too soon to die in this moment? You asked yourself while standing at the edge of the bridge which connected two cities together. Staring at the river below, almost 136 meters high. You kept on staring blankly at the way water flows by, wondering where it might took you if you jump at this instance.
Before, your intrusive thoughts controlled you, your eyes landed on a bird, itâs wing crippled. It kept on chirping and tried to fly, but every time it does, landed on the surface of the barrier.
You slowly shifted closer to it, not wanted to scared it away and held it in your palms gently, âHey, let me bandage you, okay? You will be able to fly again then!â
Fortunately, you had a small box of fast aid kit with you. Being a full-time patient and a regular visitor to the hospital, you got accustomed with the medical kits and medicines.
You swiftly bandaged the wounded wing carefully while rubbing its back.
âDo you have a name?â
The bird wiggled into your hold a little. You realized how dumb that question was, but youâd always liked talking to animals even though they couldnât reply back to you or even understood you. All they did was, stare at your face dumbfoundedly, probably judging the crazy women in front of them.
After you were done, you released it from your hold and you saw the bird flying again.
The happiness you felt at that moment was indescribable. It felt like, you were cured from your deathly disease and your death sentence has been halt for a long period of time.
You felt like, you could live your life, just like that bird.
You feltâŠalive for a moment.
You didnât knew when you started crying, tears ran down on your cheeks, on their own. You saw the bird fly happily. It wasnât fully recovered yet, but still, the determination and courage ignited something inside of you.
At that moment, you regain the courage to live your life.
Not surviving anymore but, living your life to its fullest. At least for once.
âŠ
Convincing your family wasnât easy, especially your step-mother.
You had decided that, you want to spend your last days of your life in your hometown, which meant, you all had to move back to your old country where, once you left everything behind.
âI want to live my life before I die, dad. I want to live and do all those things while Iâm still alive⊠because I donât want regret it on my last days. Please, let me fulfil all those dreams before I left this earth?â
You father rarely saw you crying since youâd grown up. Not that you often cried in front of people, you always preferred crying silently in the dark of your room, hiding from everyone.
It was surprising to him.
But, the most surprising thing was, when you saw tears in his eyes. Your father was someone who believed that, crying was a sign of weakness.
But, he didnât showed that to you, hiding his face from you, he said, âThen go, start packing your bags.â
You didnât believe your own ears, did you heard it right?
You couldnât contained your excitement as you hugged your father from behind and said, âThank you.â
Tears breamed from your eyes after realizing that, finally you were going back to your country.
âŠ
The streets still looked almost the same where you had spent your entire childhood, just not as much calm and warm as it used to be.
So many residents were built there now, it was more hectic and crowded. Thankfully, your old house was on sale at that time. The owner whom your father had sold that house to, wanted to sell it and your father bought it.
The walls of that house held so many memories, many untold truths and evidence of your cruel sleepless nights. The whispers of heart break buried in a corner of your room. All those memories came back to your mind and you found yourself day-dreaming about your old crush again.
âWhere Jungkook might be right now?â
âWhat are you thinking about?â your sister came up behind you, noticing your eyes fixed on the direction of his house.
Your sister had graduated at the same year when you guys moved here. You were more than happy that she decided to start her career here and stayed with you, at least for that reason, you were able to spent your last days with her.
She knew about every single thing happened in your life and Jungkook wasnât exceptional.
âNothingâŠâ
âDonât lie. You were thinking about Jungkook, right?â
Oh god. Hearing that name after so many years, felt surreal. It only intensified the longing you were feeling all those years. Your eyes slightly widened but you dismissed immediately.
âNo, you idiot. Go and do your work.â
âYou donât? Okay then, if you say so⊠but you should probably call Jia, she will be so happy to see you again!â
âIâll call her later but now, my head is aching! Can you please make me some tea?â you pouted at her, gave her those innocent doe eyes. She glared at you in return, with bombastic side eyes, she left the room.
You giggled and heard her cursing back at you. You laughed a little more at that. Your bond with your sister was special. Something very close to your heart. She was the only family you had, according to you.
Your parents got divorced when you were only twelve years old, so figuring out what was going on and adjusting to the situation was difficult for you. Separating from your mother was especially harder, you thought of her as your best friend butâŠ
No oneâs gonna stay with you for forever and you learned it the hard way.
Ever since then, so many things changed in your life. Your father married again in the hope that, you and your sister might be able to experience the motherly love from her, but instead you got more pain and suffering.
She was at your throat for every single second, peace was something you used to crave, if not love. You never felt at home. When you found out about your disease, it was a disaster; but still, all she cared about was money.
How thoughtful!
You decided to take your sisterâs advice and called your best friend. After eight years, you were again in your hometown. It was so nostalgic that you got emotional.
All the furniture were yet to be settled, your bed wasnât ready to be used so you took a seat on your window, staring outside.
As you saw the canvas of the evening sky transforms into a masterpiece of hues, a tapestry of twilight unfolds, painted in soft pastels â a symphony of peach, lavender, and whispers of indigo. That moment felt celestial as your heart filled with an unknown warmth and you found yourself embracing your own body into your arms.
You had called her few times in all those years and she did too; but, with time, the busy schedules and hectic day to day life forced both of you to grew apart. The calls kept on reducing in number and, then it stopped altogether.
The call rang for four times before she picked up. For some moments, you were just staring at each otherâs faces, network wasnât working on your favor so it took time to get a clear picture of her face.
âYouâre still alive?â was the first thing she asked you, very typical âJiaâ like behavior.
âYeah, Iâm still alive. Thank you very much! How are you?â you humored her and you saw her scoffed.
âYou tell me, where were you? Huh? NO calls! NO massages!⊠were you gone underground or something? Oh no, wait! You forgot about me, right?â
She kept on blabbering her nonsense, falsely accusing you, dramatically thrown tantrums at you. You saw her brows pinched together as she glared at you which was supposed to be intimidating.
âWell, Iâm in our hometown.â
ââŠWhat?!â
She couldnât believe your words so you turned the camera around and gave her the view of the street where you guys used to run and play.
You saw her eyes widened and mouth gaped at the view, she scrutinized the area a little bit longer and made sure it was indeed her hometown.
âFuck, bro! why didnât you tell me before?â
âBecause I wanted to surprise you, but well, looks like youâre not here.â
Her face turned into a sad expression from irritation, mirroring your own face.
You knew you wouldâve told her, but you genuinely wanted to gave her a surprise with your arrival, in which failed miserably!
âItâs fine, Iâm coming home in a few days.â That comforted you to some extent, knowing that you would be able to meet your best friend after all those years finally, before you die. It certainly gave you some comfort.
No one knew about your condition except your family, not even your best friend. The reason being, you wanted a normal life.
You didnât wanted those sympathetic looks from others or them doing things for your just because you are gonna die soon.
No, you wanted them to act normal, just like they always did.
You didnât wanted them to felt some urgency or pressure.
You didnât wanted them to feel bad or guilty for you.
No, you wanted them to treat you normally, just like they had been with you ever since they met you.
Just a normal life before you die, where you can enjoy every second of your life and live it with others. Was that too much to ask for?
âCome back soon then,â Your smile held a sense of nostalgia and melancholy in it and for a brief second, you thought you saw tears in her eyes.
âBy the way, have you informed others?â She changed the subject, probably didnât wanted to cry at that moment of happiness.
âYeah, we are going to meet at a club in this evening.â
âThatâs great! Have fun then and also⊠is Jay coming?â she smirked at the camera and arched a brow at you.
Having a crush was different but this guy was on another level. He was head over heels for you. You never understood his obsession or love (what he used to say) for you. He was the same age as Jungkook. It wasnât like he wasnât good looking, on the contrary, he was charming. A guy for any girl would fall for. Topper of his class with that cute face of his, he got the whole package.
But, you never felt anything for him. So the first time he confessed to you, you straight up said ânoâ. Maybe it was a bit rude, not that you were denying but You never grasped the concept of leaving someone in ambiguity without providing a clear response, especially when it involved feelings.
âDo you want me to bonk you in the head? Why would he come to our reunion party? Come onâŠhe isnât even belong to our friend circle!â You said in disbelief and she rolled her eyes a little more.
âDude, he was obsessing over you for such a long time! Iâm sure he might be into you after all these yearâ ,â
âJiaâ, you know how I feel about thisâ,â Yeah, she does. She knew everything, âCan we please drop it?â
She dropped the topic after your pleading. You always got irritated whenever she acted this way, teasing you by someoneâs name who had a crush on you, constantly encouraged you to start dating one of them. You being you, never listened to her.
You both talked about things in general after that and then hang up.
Yeah, it was good. If not telling anyone about your sickness helped you live the way you wanted to, then, itâs okay.
As soon as you hang up the call, you felt a sharp pain in your stomach. You breathed in and out as you tried to endure it. Probably because you hadnât took your medications yet. Thatâs why it was happening. Youâd accustomed with all this by that time, so it wasnât any thing new to you.
You were fine.
âŠ
The city you lived in looked different but still, there was a familiarity in it.
Sidewalks hum with activity as people strolled, laughter echoed from cafes, and the distant sounds of traffic created a vibrant urban symphony. The evening air carried a blend of aromas from food vendors, filled your noses trills and made your stomach grumbled.
You met with your school friends at the club 15 minutes away from your house as planned. Coming to a club doesnât made sense to you, because you werenât able to drink alcohol, but.. well⊠you were there because of your⊠friends.
You sat on a stool which were lined the polished counter, where patrons sipped drinks and shared laughter. You watched your friends danced across the crowded dance floor, lost in their own world.
You saw Kai from your friends group, approaching you, came straight at the direction where you were seated. You quickly reverted your eyes to somewhere, acted like you hadnât even noticed him just now, like any other introvert, focusing on your drink in your hand.
âHey, ____! Long time no see.â Yeah, it would be longer if he werenât just interrupted your peaceful time there.
He was grinning ear to ear like he just found some treasure. You adjusted yourself to looked at him, âYeah, Hey! How are you?â
âOh fine, just living the busy life of a busy man. You say, what youâre been up to these days?â oh, nothing special, just waiting to be embraced by death and, oh! Also trying to have a peaceful time which now has been disrupted. You hoped youâd be able to say that on his face but⊠oh, well⊠manners!
âNothing special â,â He pulled a stool beside you and hopped on it, âYou say?â
You watched him settling beside you comfortably. You internally rolled your eyes when you realized he probably wasnât going anywhere soon.
He started talking about his life which you didnât mind any attention to, you were busy finding loopholes to escaped the man in front of you. You eyes darted frantically everywhere around the club to found any of your friends, anyone, but the crowd made it harder to spot any of them.
He offered you a tequila which you politely refused. Then, he continued insisting on buying you a drink, his words laced with determination, the alcohol in his system clearly kicked out at that moment. The background buzz of the bar heightened as he tried to charm you into accepting, created a moment of tension which wasnât a good kind.
Despite your clear signal of disinterest, he remained persistent. It ultimately left you annoyed than ever. The last time, your refusal was harsh, words came out of your mouth was rude but the situation particularly made it harder for you to be calm, âHow many times do I have to tell you that I donât want a drink? It would be great if leave me alone.â
He took that to his heart, it seemed, because the look he gave you was similar to Chihuahua dogs when angry. You never got what this boyâs problem was, even any other boy who tried to pursued you before.
Why boys donât know when to stop and have no shame? Universal question. The whole world wanted to know the answer, included yourself.
âWhy the attitude? Iâm just trying to be friendly! Damn, seems like you donât deserve thatâ,â He scoffed, âyouâve become more hot, not gonna lie; but, that hard-to-get bitchy attitude is still there.â
The audacity he had!
You raised an eyebrow but maintained your composure. âFriendly doesnât usually come with comments like that. Itâs about mutual respect,â You retorted.
He leaned against the counter, undeterred. âCome on, no need to be so serious. Iâm just being honest here. You were always good looking and now, you looks irresistible, but the attitudeâŠâ
You sighed, contemplated on if you walked out of there or slap him across his face, âHonesty is appreciated when itâs respectful. Your comments are crossing the line.â
Unfazed, he chuckled, âI just call it like I see it. No harm meant.â
âWell, itâs causing harm. I value my personal space and expect to be treated with respect,â You stated firmly.
He scoffed again, âYou know, it wouldnât hurt to loosen up a bit. Not every compliment is an attack.â
As his audacity reached new heights with an attempt to grab your arm, frustration surged within you. You were on the verge of snapping back, but just in the nick of time, a familiar voice called your name, halting your impending outburst.
âHey, there you are! Iâve been looking for you.â
You turned your face to your left and saw Jungkook standing there, a n knowing smile on his face which he usually made when he got annoyed or angry.
Relieved and equally surprised to hear his familiar voice, you redirected your attention, grateful for the interruption regardless.
You stared at him with wide eyes, still thinking that if he was real or not. He glanced at the guy who had attempted to grab your arm, his smile faded into a more serious expression. âIs everything okay here?" Jungkook asked, his tone carried a subtle warning.
The guy got tensed, visibly uncomfortable under Jungkookâs scrutiny, stammered, âJust a misunderstanding, man.â
Jungkookâs demeanor remained stern as he replied, âBest not to misunderstand personal boundaries. Sheâs not interested.â
His hand was on your shoulder in a comforting manner. With that, Jungkook subtly positioned himself between you and the guy, creating a clear physical barrier. The unwelcome intruder, perhaps sensed the shift in dynamics, made a hasty exit. His protective side kicked out.âŠ
âŠLike any other big brother might had.
Being the protective big brother he was, Jungkook had a younger sister, so dealing with guys hitting on her became a familiar scenario for him. He had accumulated experience in handling such situations.
Yeah, he still saw you like his little sister.
âJungkookâŠâ Words came out breathy form your mouth like you still hadnât believe him standing there. The feeling you had buried in a corner of your heart years ago resurfaced once again, the bittersweet warmth you used to feel whenever you saw him bloomed inside of your heart.
Jungkookâs gaze held a mix of familiarity and affection, and you found myself lost in the moment, the years melting away.
âHey â,â He said softly as he stand in front of you, âAre you okay?â
When he smiled at you, you realized his smile was still the same, radiated warmth and playfulness. That boyish innocence was still there but with a mix of mature allure that time. That doe-like, expressive eyes that held a certain depth, his gaze was both inviting and enigmatic, in which you found yourself drowned.
There were significant changes in his appearance though, like the tattoos on his arm and those piercings on his eyebrows, ears and even his lips. You stared at him absentmindedly before he spoke, âMoon? I asked if youâre okay?â That name again!
âYeah, right⊠Iâm okay. Thank you, Jungkook.â
He smiled at your response as he said, âI didnât knew you were in the town.â
âYeah, no one does actually. I wanted to surprise Jia, but she is out of the country soâŠâ
âRight, she is.â Then silence settled between you two. Before it could got more awkward, Jungkook said, âSoâŠhow is life going?â as he took the seat on which Kai was settled before.
How were you gonna answer that? Your life⊠you felt like it was never yours. You moved out of the country because of your father, you got a college degree so you could help your family financially, then you diagnosed with a disease which eventually going to kill you so you didnât had much time left.
But, in all of these, what you did for yourselves? When was the time you actually lived your life?
You didnât had an answer to that tbh.
âNothing special. My dad got retired so we thought about coming back to our country.â You answered, swirling the glass of virgin mojito in your hand. âand, what about you?â
âMe?â He asked, his doe eyes staring wide at you, chucking a little, he replied, âCame back to my home after realizing, Iâm not gonna get a job there any time soon, not bad thoughâ,â He glanced over your shoulder as you saw something flickered in his eyes, â âThen thought about starting my own business, now I got my own tattoo shop.â
You saw him frequently glancing over your shoulder, as if someone was behind you whome was trying to see.
âOh! Thatâs awesome!â
He didnât replied and kept staring at a particular direction behind you. When you attempted to look behind, he stopped you by grabbing your arm. âYeah, it is.â
He let out a laugh which clearly indicated his nervousness. âIs everything okay?â you asked.
âYeah, yeah.â
âIs someone behind me?â
âYeah⊠itâs just my ex.â
He said that casually as if he wasnât just trying to desperately snatch a glance at her. You didnât understand, his ex?
You remember his girlfriend. What was her name again?
Nina? Nanny? Ah, no. Yes!
Nancy. She was his girlfriend whom he invited to the thanksgiving party. As far as you knew, they were still dating according to Jia even though she confessed that to you a long time ago.
âUmmâ Jungkook? I need more context to understand what youâre talking about. So, fill me in what Iâm missing out?â You squinted at him dramatically and he laughed a little at your ministration.
That same smile which was enough to make your heart flutter and skip a beat.
âItâs nothing, just thatâŠâ He paused midway and glanced over your head again before continuing, âWe broke things up a few months ago. Decided to go separate ways because we didnât work out eventually?â
There was a question mark at the end, you wondered why was that for. Was he not know why they broke up? Thatâs sounds silly. Maybe, he was confused after they broke things up and thought that he made a mistake there? He might still wanted to be with her?
Before your train of thought escalate even further, He tapped you on your shoulder and brought you back to the reality, âEarth to ___,â You saw him smiling at you, âWhat are you thinking?â
You were wearing off shoulders, so, the naked touch of his fingers upon your skin kindled a transient flame, imprinting an indelible mark of his presence that will linger unwelcomed for the next few days.
âN-nothing, what were you saying again?â shaking the dizziness from witnessing the stars in his eyes, you asked. Itâs normal for a human being like you, feeling dizzy after touched by someone made of stars. Gotta be grounded, you arenât allowed to touch the stars, you reminded yourself.
âI asked, if you want to dance with me. Would you?â He asked as he extended his hand for you. You knew, you shouldnât touch the stars but the shining flow of it made you blinded to the upcoming consequences of your actions.
You should knew well, why he was asking for a dance. His ex was still behind you so the only reason would be to â made her jealous, still you reciprocated.
You warned him about your lack of knowledge in dancing, nonetheless, he pulled you to the dance floor.
Placed your hands on his shoulder and his on your waist, he instructed you to move. As soon as, you two stepped on the dance floor, the song changed to a melodic one from a upbeat song.
Apocalypse by cigarettes after sex started playing in the background and you found yourself staring at the men in front of you for a second before you broke the eye contact.
Even thought you turned you face to the other side you could feel his eyes on you, making your mind go blank.
He pulled you closer, bodies Pressed together as both of you started to move in sync with the music. His breath hit the side of your face, making your breath hitched after knowing the close proximity between you two.
â____,â He called, your name sounded pretty from his lips, âLook at me.â
It sounded like a demand but his tone suggested other wise. Tender and delicate, as his soft lips brushed against your hairline, made you gulped the lump forming in your throat.
You did look him in the eyes. His gaze, held galaxies within, each flicker echoing the poetry of an undiscovered universe, in which you found yourself lost.
âYouâre doing good. Just donât think too much and let your body move according to the rhythm â,â He said, his gaze focused on your face, closer than before. The ambient lighting casted a soft glow, accentuating his delicate features, his words gave you courage, an unfamiliar sense of comfort and his face made you thought that you had someone you could rely on.
In that shared gaze, time momentarily freezes and you found yourself falling for him, again.
âAishâŠI sounded like some know-it-all, I think? donât mind it, please.â There was nervousness in his voice, fleeting glances searched for reassurance to make sure you didnât found that offensive.
You didnât help but realized how thoughtful and considerate a person could be that he was worrying about something so small. It wasnât even sounded offensive to you, it was just a suggestion, guidance to someone who doesnât know the âDâ of dancing.
Like a delicate melody played on uncertain notesâa sincere expression that made his words all the more genuine and endearing and you found that oddly charming.
You couldnât help but smiled at him, âDonât worry, I didnât mind at all, but⊠I might get offended if you donât tell me the truth right now.â You teased, slightly grinding at him.
He pinched his brows in confusion, âWhat are you talking about?â
âAre you. . . Somehow trying to make your ex jealous? Because if you are, I think itâs working.â
His eyes widened a bit, clearly wasnât expecting something like that. He, again, glanced over to the girl who was still standing at the same spot for ten minutes, observing every move you two made.
âIâ Noâ, I mean not exactly,â He looked at you with a hint of guilt in his eyes, giving you an apologetic smile, âWell, not gonna lie. I did tried to make her kinda jealous â but it wasnât the entire reason why I asked you for a dance.â You found a hint of panic in his eyes, again looking like he didnât wanted to offend by any means, which you found enduring. Why does he cared so much? You thought.
You couldnât help but saw this little things in people, especially the people you held close to your heart.
âThen, why did you asked?â
âBecause, I wanted to.â He said casually, as if he didnât just made you skipped your heart beat a little faster. You shifted your gaze to the other side, feeling weird emotions about the person you wouldnât felt. Nonetheless, you chuckled a little bit.
âYou would have told me earlier, then I might have put more effort.â
âSo, you arenât putting effort yet?â He giggled, eyes gleamed under the light.
âNo â I didnât mean that, but, now we have a mission in our hands, so we better win it!â
He made a look of knowing, realized what you were implying. He let out a chuckle, shook his head at you adorably and gripped your hand a bit firmly, pulling you a little bit closer as if there were any gap in between.
Your chest flashed against his, the burning heat of your cheeks might be visible by then, you felt his thumb rubbing slowly at your waist where he was holding you. That small gesture was supposed to be comforting but it only made your cheeks grew a shade brighter.
You thanked the dimly lights of the club.
The evening went by just the two of you holding each other close as you swung your bodies to the unfamiliar melodies. This time, there was no barrier in between you two, like, âhe see me as his sisterâ or âhe has a girlfriend.â
âŠ
Sometimes, It was hard for you to understand Jia.
That one time when she asked if she could borrow your white gown on her birthday. Of course you gave that to her. It was her birthday party in the evening, so you didnât grasp the fact why she wanted to wore something âŠold, when she had a new dress waiting for her in her wardrobe.
But, then switched her dress to that very new black dress in the middle of that party. When you asked her, she refused to gave you an explanation, which baffled you and left you confused.
Even though you didnât liked her odd behavior that night, you let that slipped.
âTaehyung is looking at your direction â,â one of the girls from your class whispered in your ears as she giggled like a typical teen girl next to you.
All of your friends were sitting at the cafeteria, munching on your food. It was a typical boring day at school until your eyes landed on Jungkook. He was in the senior year and also the captain of school soccer team.
When you were busy drooling over him, your friends started making their own theories.
âYeah, Iâve seen him staring at ___ quite often.â Other girl from your same table passed a comment.
Kim Taehyung was in the soccer team as well but a year older than Jungkook, but they were like brothers, the âITâ best friend duo. It was quite usual for you to saw Taehyung whenever Jungkook was around. He was with him almost all the time.
But, you never noticed him staring at you. You thought they were making silly scenarios in their little head in hope of some Juicy gossip until you noticed, Kim Taehyung staring at your direction.
âStop, guys! He is probably looking at somewhere else or looking for someone? Who knows!â You shrugged them off, not wanted to participate in their nonsense.
The men, they were talking about was the âsweetheartâ of your high school, every other girl was smitten by him, so it was a bit difficult for you to accept that he might had a crush on you.
â___, you are dangerously oblivious.â Then they laughed as if they just discovered the funniest joke of the century, their laughter echoed through out the cafeteria except from you and Jia.
It was easy to assume someoneâs weight just by looking at the structure of their body until you had to carry them.
âFuck! He is heavy dude!â Jia cursed under her breath, unable to hide the suffering of carrying Jimin all the way up to the 5th floor to Jungkookâs apartment.
âHe doesnât seem likeâ,â You were about to trip and fall, but adjusted yourself quickly. âyeah, he is heavy.â
The knock on his door wasnât too loud as you made sure not to woke any neighbors up 2 in the morning.
You heard a groan along with some footsteps before the door swung open in front of you and you wished that you wouldnât saw what youâd saw.
There was Jungkook, naked and standing in his full glory. Thank God, he had a sweat pant on.
You immediately looked down out of respect andâŠwell, shyness? Because the way your cheeks heat up was embarrassing. You were flustered and you hoped, no one noticed.
Jungkook made a surprised gasped and scrunched his brows out of confusion, âWhat are you guys doing here at this hour? I- wait, is that jimin?â
âYes!! Now help us, dummy.â Jungkook grabbed Jiminâs arm but not before shooting a glare at his sisterâs direction, gave her a look of âyou better shut the fuck up.â
He took jimin from you two and carried him like his weight was nothing, held him like a feather. Before the three of you could reach out to the sofa, you saw Taehyung came out of another room.
âWhatâs going on in the middle of the night?â His deep voice was an octave lower, clearly he was in his dreamland. With a scowl, he rubbed his eyes and looked at his very drunk friend, âWait â Is that jimiâ Is he dead?â He dramatically gasped.
âNo. But, tell me, are you twoâŠgay?â She asked them quietly, made it more dramatic by her expressions. Her mischievous eyes shifted to Taehyung from Jungkook, then again on Jungkook.
Taehyung gave a glare at her direction, no words left from his mouth. The poor guy just woke up at the middle of the night and accused of fucking Jungkook. You held your laughter back, didnât wanted to make it more chaotic than it already was.
âNoâ I mean you look like you just had a rough night andâ,â
âJia, will you shut up?â Jungkookâs voice was stern, as if he was holding himself back. His sister knew how to get on his nerves, for sure.
Ignoring the fact that she was about to bring scolded by her elder brother, she took the responsibility and filled him up with the information.
âWe were at this bar and we saw Jimin thereâŠlying on a couch. The owner was searching for his friends but, since they werenât there, we took him here.â She chirped, feigning innocence as if she didnât just called her brother gay.
Jia decided to met you at this famous bar, again you went along with the idea even though you knew the fact that, you wonât be able to drink anything.
At least you liked the ambience of the bar, until you found a very drunk blonde haired guy laying on a couch, almost knocked out. The owner was literally about to kick him out if it werenât for you and Jia arrived at the right time.
âHe was supposed to join us.â Taehyung shook his head in disappointment, letting out a huff, he walked over to Jimin who was finally knocked out on Jungkookâs couch. Following Taehyungâs lead, you sit beside Jimin, scrutinizing his face for any discomfort he might had.
Your gaze briefly flickered towards Jungkook, caught him staring at you, before he quickly averted his eyes towards Taehyung. You knew, it wasnât anything you might had thought of, but the way your stomach flipped over wasnât something normal.
âWhat you guys were even doing?â Jia asked exaggeratedly, squinted her eyes at both men in front of her suspiciously.
Yes, Jungkook and Taehyung was like brothers since they were in high school, probably saw shits of each other which might had never been seen by anyone, their bromance was top-notch but that doesnât allow people to question about their sexuality. You knew, Jia was just joking and probably pulling her brotherâs leg off and besides, Jungkook has a girlfriend. Or so, had.
They might broke up, but the possibility of him having feelings for her was strong, because of the dance you two had that night at the club. No person who doesnât had any feelings for their ex would did such thing to just made them jealous. He doesnât said that, he doesnât had to, it was all clear in his eyes or so you noticed.

JING YUAN CANâT help it. He doesn't know what drives him to do it; to stare at you until holes are burned in you or touch you carelessly or talk about you like you're a piece of meat, he can't help it. It's akin to a primal urge, or manly instinct that makes him defile you disgustingly and unapologeticallyâand it makes him feel like a gross teen boy whose dick grows hard at the simple mention of women, but it's something about this aura of naivety and peace that swarms you that brings this carnal desire out of him. Youâre the perfect prey, helpless, unsuspecting, and trusting of the ill-intended, hungry predator. Everything makes his heart flutter and his stomach gnarlâhe turns into a different man because of you.
Friendly, neighborhood, retired Army General and current Xianzhou Police Chief Jing Yuan was a mask to cover perverse, snobby, and icky pervert Jing Yuan; the one who got a kick at making you do silly tasks so he can stare up your skirt and who always told you to take a seat so he can press up on you and grope you indistinctly. He sees you and immediately a deviant fire is kindled in his chest, his cheeks heat up and his skin runs cold. It's nasty, but he can't help it.
He needs you selfishly. He can't stand to watch you talk to other men and tend to their needsâsure, it's your job to pour them lemonade and escort them to the spa and guide them around the country club for a look at all the activities, and he respects that you're a hard and diligent worker, but seeing you with other men boils his blood. It's as if the lines between reality and his fucked up fantasy world have blurred, and you belong to him, you're his woman and he stakes his claim on you like a wild animal. Jing Yuan likes how you don't question how he suddenly needs your assistance, and that it's impossible for anyone but you to do it, because it lets these other men know that you respond to him. He's never felt this way about a woman before, not even the mother of his own child, so it means you're special. You mean much deeper to him than you could ever understand and all he wants is your company and to love you down into the cage of his heart.
It's not a crime to have a crush. It's not a crime to be in love with a woman you barely know. And it's not a crime to imagine her stuffed with your kids after watching her interact with yours. A crime? No. Weird? Maybe; but Jing Yuan does it anyway.
On the occasion when he brings Yanqing to the club, he gets on his best behavior. They play friendly games of golf and lounge about in the garden area, and eat up a storm in the illustrious dining hallânormal father-and-son things. Nothing out of the ordinary, people wouldn't even know that all Jing Yuan could think about was you and how sweet your pussy must taste as he eats ice cream with his son. He stays on his best outward behavior, trulyâyou wouldn't have even known he was in the bathroom jerking off because something about you today set him off.
He walks into the dining hall, looking around to see you. Yanqing had run off to the pool ages ago, so Jing Yuan had some time to himselfâŠor, rather, time for you and him. He thought about how he would take you and claim you for far too long now. He thinks about it too much, actually. And thatâs insane; considering the fact that you only started working at Stargazer Navalia Country Club two months ago.
He goes to his usual spot: against the wall on the northeastern side of the hall. It's slightly tucked away, the ceiling lights on that side are dim and the roaming eyes of others are limited. It's perfect for him when he touches you and even more perfect to convince you to have a seat and chat with him. You always listen, always fall for his lonely old man act, even though you've seen him with his snob friends Luocha and Dan Feng, and he's more than well-known around the communityâheâs far from lonely, but his lips utter such pitiful deception that you can't help but spare him some of your company.
Jing Yuan has been doing this for a few weeks. Heâll invite you over for a refill of the house's special lemonade, sipping the juice as soon as you finish pouring, letting his lips smack obnoxiously, his tongue running across his top lip, and muttering out an âAhh, so sweetâŠâ, keeping eye-contact with you. His plump, rosy lips will break into a smile at your widened eyes and flustered expression, and that's when he asks you to stay. âWouldnât you give me a moment of your time? CâmonâŠcall itâŠcustomer service.â
Usually, heâll sit across from you and ask about your day. Heâll listen to your short spiels about your coworkers or your university and even your extremely personal information about your family and friends. It's cute how you open up with abandon, and he likes how apologetic you get when you feel like youâve spoken too much. Heâll reach across the table and tap your pouted lips, âItâs okay, sweetheart. Keep going,â and he stares at your lips as you talk his ear off. But todayâtoday, Jing Yuan is pushing the limits.
He invited you over, and instead of you sitting across from him, he pulls the chair next to him. Your proximity is close, no closer than ever before, but close enough that you feel like he can hear your heartbeat. He drapes a buff arm around the back of your chair, the pads of his fingers just barely ghosting over your biceps. He takes a deep breath, presumably to settle into his seat but actually to breathe you in. You smell sweet. He wonders if you taste sweet.
âHow was your day?â the man starts. It's okay, it's fine, itâs just Jing Yuanâheâs fine! You nod your head, âOkayâŠnot too eventful but umâŠkind of busy.â He immediately replies âYeah? Tell me about it.â
Your shift started at eleven o'clock this morning, and you clocked in slightly late earning your managers, Ms. Yukong, mouthful of scolding. âAgain? This is the third time in a rowâŠâ She was a strict woman. Yukong was adamant about running an establishmentânot a job. In her mind, there's a distinct difference, a fine line that separates Stargazer Navalia Country Club from other leisure resorts, and that line was drawn by poise, professionalism, and punctuationâthe three Ps. You essentially lacked all of that. Youâre always late, and if youâre not late, youâre just barely making it, you run around a lot and don't collect yourself. Oftentimes, you take on too much than you can handle and overwhelm yourself, making a fool of yourself before the very opinionated eyes of the patrons. And you were clumsy. The country club was your first service job and your first job ever. You wouldn't have gotten the job if your parents didnât force independence upon you and you complained to your friend, Tingyun, about your unfair predicament, and she promised to put in a good word for you to her boss. That good word was a basket full of fabrications and exaggerations. Yukong told you that you were fortunate to be allowed to work at the club, but it was hanging in the balance if you didnât step up your game.
Jing Yuan hadnât expected a full rant, but he was glad that you felt like you could talk to him. He wants to hold you, tell you that Yukong is a miserable bitch and she doesn't know what the hell she's talking about. You can't do any wrongâthat woman wouldnât know poise, professionalism, and punctuation if it slapped her across the face, so who was she to criticize perfection?
He gets even more upset when your chest starts to heave and youâre blinking back tears, explaining how you cried after leaving Yukongâs office and felt so useless and stupid. And you made it your mission today to do your best. No overworking, no clumsiness, and no more strikes earned. Your head was on a dart board, and Yukong was aiming at the bullseye.
You told him you just wanted to be good. To be worth something because you aren't incompetent. If only you knew how he saw you.
Tears run down your warm cheeks and your frowned lips curve into a sad smile, a laugh escaping as you pat away tears from your eyes. âSorry, I donât mean to cryâŠâ
ââŠI should be getting back to workâŠâ You move to get up but Jing Yuan stops you, his big hand on your thigh. This isn't new, but your eyes meet and you almost burst into tears again. Your lips frown up again and quiver and your eyes gloss overâoh, you poor thing. He squeezes your thigh as if to tell you youâre okay, but when that doesn't seem to stop the tidal wave of tears from beating at the barrier of your blinking eyelids, he pulls you in.
It's a hug. You've hugged people before. You do it all the time. Even to himâyouâve hugged Jing Yuan before, but this? This is different. He cradles the back of your head as you rest your cheek on his shoulder and he kisses your hair softly. Heâs warm, like the summer heat, and your body feels like itâs on fire. His fingers stroke at your hair as if he was trying to soothe your feelings, and it works, you sniffle and softly whimper, curling your fingers against his thighs. He's taking care of you and if only you could understand what youâre doing to him. His cock is slowly growing stiffer and heat lights beneath his skin as it does yours. You feel so weak and small in his hold and God, is it doing something to him. Your breathing brushes your tits against his side and he wants to feel them pressed against his chest as he pounds into you. Your sniffles and tears that form small puddles on his shirt make him think about how you would cry from overstimulation and his big cock stretching you out.
He needs to get a grip. To stop his gross thoughts but it's no use when your entire existence is an aphrodisiac to him. It was a short hug, no longer than a minute, but it felt like it lasted a lifetime. When you pull away, Jing Yuan can't look at you. He can't look at your flushed cheeks, glossy eyes, clumped lashes, and pouted lipsâhe canât look because he wonât be able to contain himself. You clear your throat and sit up, wiping your eyes and smudging your cheap mascara. Heâs slightly upset that youâre leaving already, so before you go, he pinches the hem of your shirt, pulling you back.
âIt's gonna be okay, little one. Have a good day.â He pats your head and smiles at you. You get flustered and quickly nod, running off as if to disappear.
You find it hard to have a good day when youâre wrapped up in your head, thinking about Yukong, yourself, and Mr. Jing Yuan. He was a nice man, sometimes too nice and you were unsure if that was a negative or a positive.
His touches feel like theyâre burned into your skin. When you think about his tight, warm, and world-erasing hug, your skin tingles and births goosebumps to the surface. When you think about his deep, reverberating voice praising you and denying the existence of imperfection in you, you run hot. Itâs a dangerous juxtaposition that left you an unfocused mess, productivity being the last thing of your concern. How bothered your body felt was in big bold letters in your brain, and it was hard to not prove Yukongâs harsh words about you right. You needed to get it together, but it was hard when Jing Yuan lingered in your mind like a deadly plague.
You catch Tingyun up during your dishes duty, scrubbing the dirtied plates, bowls, spoons, and forks and passing them to the girl to be dried. She laughs at you, shaking her head as she spins her hand around the inside of the porcelain bowl. âCan I be honest with you?â You nod at Tingyunâs question, âhis intentions are less than pure. Heâs nice and all but I think you should create boundaries. I don't like how every time you tell me about him he's grabbing on you and stuffâŠâ
You have an issue with seeing the best in people. You canât see anybody as evilâtheir actions donât define their character in your mind and that's a fatal flaw. You shake your head at Tingyunâs words, smiling, âI donât agree. Heâs justâŠI donât know.â you shut the water off, and set down the plate in your hand. âI think heâs just lonelyââ
ââHe has friends. His golfing budsâŠ?â She points out. You sigh and shake your head. âYeah, but they don't come to the club often.â
Tingyun rolls her eyes. âCan you be for real? What company can you provide to a man whoâs nearly double your age?â
On that front, Tingyun had a point. Youâre still in college, barely coasting your way through your third year and Jing Yuan is in his mid-to-late thirties, pushing forty. He was a dad and you were a student. He lived his lifeâheâs on his second career, and youâve only just barely begun working your first job. You never knew what to talk to him about and you never understood what he talked about. There was a disconnect, but you felt like that didn't impede the slight friendship you had. âHe just needs someone to talk to!â
âDidn't know talking included his hands on your ass but okay.â Her snide remark makes you frown. He wasnât all that bad. Tingyun didn't get it.
Her eyes immediately meet yours and she softens. âSorry.â You nod to her apology, cutting the tap back on and resuming your work. You didn't like to be judgemental and you wanted to give Jing Yuan the benefit of the doubt. He wasnât all that bad and you liked himâfor the most part. She pats your shoulder softly. She does mean well. âJust be safe, okay?â
âYou never know whatâs going on in someone's head.â
Itâs so hot. The weather forecast called for unbearable heat and ungodly levels of humidity. The sun was angry at the world, shining down harshly and roasting your skin. Surprisingly, the club had seen the most members today. It was filled to the brim, bustling and condensing heat at every corner that you couldnât escape.
Your uniform was dripping in sweat and it was sticking to your skin. Your hair, pulled away from your face, felt like it was dripping onto your shoulders. You were hot. And luckily for you, Qingque had taken off from work today due to the heat, leaving her shift open. You swooped in and took the role, slipping off your uniform when the clock hit 2:30 and sliding into the lifeguard swimsuit. It was tight fitting but comfortable and paired with the visor blocking the mean sun from your face, you felt fine.
Lathering a security layer of sunscreen onto your skin, you make your way to the pool, reciting Yukongâs words in your head. You had met with her at the beginning of your shift where she told you this was your last chance. Lifeguarding wasnât some fun easy-money task. Screwing around the way you usually do could be at the cost of someoneâs life and she wouldnât put anyone at risk. At all. So you go with your head up and a warm smile, climbing up and sitting down with a hawk eye on the pool.
The water was clear blue and rippling. Bare flesh and bright swimsuits are blurred and hazy under the surface of the water. Itâs a nostalgic scene, sweet chatter and giggles from the playing children, splashing water, and pattering wet feet on the hot pavement work together to induce peace upon you. This is a scene you could get used to, especially when Jing Yuan emerges from the water.
He looks divine. His upper body is exposed, large muscles flexed as he lifts his body weight from beneath the water, resting on the edge of the pool. His water-darkened hair slumps heavily in his ponytail, flipping over as he shakes his head, ridding of the water. And the water spills down his skin deliciously, thick droplets pathing down his body. Itâs a sight to behold and you can't help but stare.
Jing Yuan wonders if this is how you feel. Ogled and objectified down to the bone. Your shade-hidden eyes bore into him when they should be watching the children. But he likes it. He feels like today is going to be a good day.
He comes to the pool often, usually just watching Yanqing show him his âtricksâ, but he notices the order. The lifeguards cycle every forty-five minutes. He noticed it the first time when one of them took off immediately after jumping in after a panicking Yanqing, but today it was going to come to his aid. Today was the day. Heâd waited too long, thought about it too hardâŠJing Yuanâs fantasy world was going to pour into reality. That in itself was a terrible horror.
He waits patiently for forty-five minutes. Splashing water with his son occasionally, stepping out of the pool for a rest, or waving at you as he floats atop the water. Forty-five minutes. Tick tock.
He stops you on your way inside. His towel was thrown over his shoulder and his wet hair slung up into his fixed ponytail. Youâre so enthralled by his state that you aren't taking into consideration the lazily fabricated lie that he needed your urgent attention to. You were no dummy. Jing Yuan is an overly attractive man, but he was out of your league and the father to a boy only seven years younger than you. Your lives were incompatible and frankly, he wasn't what you were looking for. Attractive? Yes. Boyfriend material? Not so much.
Regardless, you follow him to the locker room to look for his supposed missing watch. You ask him where his locker is located and he points around the corner, â125D.â His locker is tucked off around the corner, deep in the row and far from anyoneâs initial line of sight. You see his golf bag resting against the wall and Yanqingâs goggles on the bench and make your way to it, âWhere did you last have the watch?â
This was way out of your jurisdiction, and, besides, he was the police chiefâwhat the hell could you do to help him find a missing watch? Nonetheless, you listen intently as he provides the details: he took it off to go swimming, placed it on the shelf in the locker, and came back to find it missing. You nod slowly, diligently looking through the slim locker. Thereâs not much in it and not much space a watch could slip through, so youâre confused. It's clearly not here. âI don't think I can be much help for you, youâre better off checking with whoever was in here last.â
And then his body is close to you. Your proximity thickens with the chlorine and sandalwood scent he carries, and his broad form towers over you. Your breath hitches and your body tenses as a large hand lays against the back of your thigh, running up your bare skin until it meets the curve of your ass. He doesn't say anything. Neither do you. You feel like youâre frozen, stuck beneath him, and that only urges him further.
His other arm wraps around your waist and he pulls you in, resting his chin on your shoulder and breathing you in with a deep breath. You can feel his exhale on your neck and you shudder, pushing away to create distance. Jing Yuan only tightens his big grip on you, âI want youâŠâ he murmurs, leaning into your neck. His lips ghost over your skin and you squirm, trying to wriggle out of his grasp. This can't be happening. Not here. Not now.
You try to tell him that but it's futile. He presses his slightly chapped lips against your neck in fluttery kisses, wrapping his lips around nips of skin every now and then and leading a path to your collarbone. He steals a look at you from the side, âTell me you don't want this and I'll stop.â
He now frames your body beneath his, pressing you against the cold lockers. You wince at the harshness of how he handles youâhow his hands incessantly run up and down your body and gropes your assets and how he grinds his dick against your ass. He breathes heavily against you, grunting and growling in your ear as he edges himself closer and closer to the brink of losing control.
You try to speak up. To tell him you can't do this and that here is not the place. But you part your lips to object, only for a whimper to escape in its place. Youâre shaking your head no but it opposes the sounds that leave you and the subconscious grind back of your hips. Jing Yuan uses his right hand to cup your pussy with a hardened gaze watching your reaction: your eyes widen and then squeeze shut, and you roll your lips inward, pressing them shut. He feels a slight throb when he presses his fingers against your sex, and the heat that radiates from you is all telling. âStop fighting itâŠdonât deny itâŠyou need me to take care of you.â
Kisses on your neck resume as he rubs your clothed clit, using the way your knees buckle as leverage to slightly bend your over, grinding into you rougher. âCan't you feel how hard you make me, baby? Fuck,â he whispers, his grinding now turning into desperate rutting. âIndulge me, just a littleâŠsay yesâŠâ
Youâre shaking your head no, fighting his words. You think that if you close your eyes hard enough youâll wake up in the real world and this will have all just been in your head. The sight of the lockers in front of you dispels that thought instantly. You fight against your own body, swallowing down the sounds of pleasure that rumble in you at his touch. You promised Yukong you would do a better job. You liked working here. If she found out you had sex with a customer during work hours in the public locker room, sheâd have your head on stake. But God, he knew what he was doing. Itâs like Jing Yuan knows how to get into your head. All of his innuendos day in and day out, his flirtatious banter, and his wandering eyes the past few months have been test runs on you that heâs conducted for his fucked up memory log. So he could prepare for this moment. So he knew how to make you weak and make you succumb to his advances. You were a nice girl with a hard time saying no. You always indulged his requests and always did what was told to you. His constant âSay yes, baby. Say it. You know you want this,â in your ear was persuasive enough for your weak resolve. Soon enough, youâre quietly parroting his words.
âY-yesâŠIâŠI want it,â you huff out, and he stops.
Jing Yuan lets you goâpulling off of you and spinning you around. Then, heâs swiftly pushing you against the lockers, caging you in with his big arms on either side of you. His golden eyes are richer, darkened with fantasy and lust as they bore into yours. His rosy lips curve into a sinister smirk, âLook me in my eyes and say you want me to fuck you.â
Your eyes meet, locking with each other softly. Youâre telling yourself in your head that you can say no, but your mouth moves first, âI want youâŠtoâŠâ you grow shy at the words, and Jing Yuan smiles at you. He steps closer, grabbing your chin softly and your waist with his free hand, pulling you in. âSweet girlâŠâ he mumbles, brushing his lips against yours and bumping your noses.
Your kiss is sweet. It's the type of fairytale kiss, the type of wonderful kiss that whips the air out of you and has fireworks blowing in your pretty little head. Your lips mold and work together, and he takes his time getting acquainted with your mouth. He waits until you part your lips on your own to invade your mouth, and even then, he tenderly explores the cavern. He kisses you with dominance and experience. He kisses you with passion and desire. He kisses you like heâs in love with you.
You wrap your hands around his neck, pulling him into you, chasing his kiss as if he was trying to leave you. It begins to heat up. Impatience grows like mold between the two of you, you begin to want and need each other more. His hand gripping your chin wraps briefly around your neck to pull you closer, and his hand around your waist moves to your ass, cupping a cheek in his palm and roughly squeezing. He sucks on your tongue, moaning deeply into your mouth. Teeth start to clash and tongues start to bump and spin, spit dribbling out of your mouths. He bites onto your bottom lip as he pulls away, and then catches the drool running down your face with his tongue, running back up on its path to your mouth. With your saliva on his tongue, he kisses you harshly one last timeâa kiss that makes you lean your head against the lockers behind you, giving him access to the expanse of your neck.
He admires the hickeys he already left, kissing them tenderly before leaving a few more. His teeth drag on your neck, and he's pulling the straps of your swimsuit down your arms. It's agonizingly slow and you look away, not able to face him as he unveils your body to him.
It's like a dream. Even better than. All of his fantasies and perverted thoughts haven't done any justice to how you lookâthe most perfect, pretty boobs with hard nipples that are begging to be played with, the most gorgeous frame that pops even more without your clothes, your dips and curves begging to be filled by his grip, and your pretty pussy, which he takes his time getting to and unveiling. He gets on his knees, kisses your soft thighs, and slowly pulls your swimsuit down to your ankles. You try to hide, feeling vulnerable and anxious in your fully naked state but he pulls your legs apart, kissing the inside of your thigh. âYouâre beautifulâŠâ
âPrettiest thing I've ever seenâŠâ he says, trailing up your legs. He doesn't give you time to fall into your mind. He exhales deeply, letting the air from his nose blow against your pussy. You squirm but he pulls your legs apart again, looking up at you as he places a chaste kiss on your slit.
Youâre already wet, susceptible to his touch, and fragile. You slightly leak past your labia and his lips shine in your slick. Eye contact remains as he licks your arousal off his lips, swallowing your taste with a satisfied hum. âSo sweet, too. Better than I ever imagined.â
Something about his admission flusters you. You knew he enjoyed your company, but you didn't know he put thought into you this way. It flatters you, to say the least, and your body responds in a very telling way: your clit throbbing and hole clenching in need.
Jing Yuan smiles at how you can't hold eye contact with him and how you look down at him with urging eyes. Your body gives him the okay your mouth fails to do, and he dives in, wedging his tongue between your folds to lick a thick stripe. You gasp loudly and slam your palm against the locker behind you, seemingly caught off guard by his action. And then he does it again. This time, making his way to your clit slowly, only to circle around the bud but not pay it any attention. And again, this time only lightly flicking your clit with his tongue and ghosting over it but ultimately focusing on collecting your sweet juices, slurping it down with an obnoxious volume.
Your position is fixedâyouâre stuck. Your legs are draped over his shoulders as you basically sit on his face, and he holds you tightly by your soft thighs. Your gaze is filed unto each other, unmoving, and he watches with glee at how you react when he finally gives your clit attention. He wraps his lips around the bud, sucking it into his mouth and swirling his tongue around it. You practically burst into tears. You moan out, immediately threading your fingers in his white locks. âOh, fuck,â
He abuses your clit until your voice goes hoarse. He doesn't care that people could probably hear you. He wants them to. He wants them to hear his name flow from your mouth like syrup out of a maple treeâthick in lust and fatally sweet. Your moans sound even prettier in reality. Jing Yuan has come to the conclusion that you are one of a kind. No wild or active imagination could do you justice. He could eat you out for daysâyouâre just so sweet and so easy to please. Your clit getting sucked on sets you off and when he runs his thick tongue through your sloppy folds to collect your stream of arousal, you whine even louder, competing with his slurping and licking noises.
âI want you to cum on my tongue, pretty girl,â he says, pulling away from your folds. âWanna taste all of you,â and he presses a kiss to your clit. You suck your bottom lip between your teeth, nodding rapidly, âPlease! Wanna cum so badâŠâ
Heâs determined now. Like a man starved, he practically feasts on you. His tongue is everywhereïżœïżœïżœlicking and swirling from every direction and it drives you insane. You can feel the burning tension in your gut churn and to egg its release out of you, you toy with your nipples, resting your head against the lockers as ecstasy overcomes you. You whine and whimper out meek little âYes!ââs and âOh, God!ââs like those are the only words you know, feeling your orgasm so close that it heats your skin to the touch.
Your back arches and eyes blow wide, your body fighting against itself. You trap his head between your thighs but push his head away, damn near screaming at the top of your lungs that it's too much and you can't take it. This pushes Jing Yuan to do more, to tighten his hold on your thighs and suffocate himself in your pussy. Knock the tip of his nose against your puffy clit and probe your clenching hole with his tongue. His jaw hurts but he keeps it up well, humming and moaning endlessly to send warm vibrations through your skin. His name breaks off of your tongue so weakly and your head feels light. It's like something in you snaps, like all composure and decency melts off of you in an instant. You could care less about Yukong or anybody else for that matter. This entire room could cease to exist and it wouldn't matter because Jing Yuan has blasted you off to cloud nine. The feeling of his tongue swimming through your folds is pleasure in its purest form and it pushes you to the deep end, drowning you in overwhelming ecstasy.
The grip you have on his hair tightens and you pull the long locks as if itâd stabilize you from the wreckage your pending orgasm was bringing upon you. A silent moan falls from your lips, followed by an airy plea, âJ-Jing Yuan, please..!â Your voice falters and falls into another broken moan. Your back arches yet again and your hips buck into his face, and there it is. That tight band in your stomach snaps and your orgasm wracks through you roughly. Your thighs shake and your chest heaves heavilyâyou feel like you can't breathe. And he doesn't let up, wrapping his lips around your sensitive clit for the harshest suck of the night, humming happily as you squirm and spasm in his hold.
You come undone, dripping down his face like a rushing waterfall. He cleans you up with his tongue, continuing to help you come down from your high even as you whimper and sniffle from overstimulation. With peppery kisses, he pulls away from your pussy, licking his lips clean and rolling his eyes at your taste. âYou did so good for me, baby.â
A carnal glint shines in his eye as he takes your waist in his hands, pulling you into him for a kiss. Your lips connect with fervor. He immediately establishes dominance, invading your mouth with hunger and greed. Your teeth clash and knock and your tongue is bullied by his. Your taste on his mouth is strong and it's hard to ignore it, and on him, it tastes wonderful. Your legs are jelly, useless. He holds you up with his hands but ultimately decides to press you against the lockers once again, grinding his painfully aching hard-on onto your thigh. No. This can't happen. The longer you're in the locker room with him, the more risk that's run. People are going to start leaving the club soon, and you don't know what youâd do if they caught you like this.
You try to push him away but he only presses into you more, rutting against you more desperately and aggressively. You gave him an inch, and now he's going to take a mile.
He growls against your lips before pulling away, resting his forehead on yours. âGotta have you, baby,â he starts, pulling down his swim trunks. His hard cock jumps out, leaking and hard and so thick it makes your eyes bulge out of your head. You can't do this. You open your mouth to protest but he just kisses you again, shutting you down instantly. He takes your hand in his, bringing it down to his dick, and forces you to hold his girth in your hand. He's heavy and hard. Two prominent veins bulge and throb and his angry tip spills milky beads of precum into a pool in his slit. He makes you jerk him off, groaning into your mouth deeply, âFuck. Need you so bad, little one. Need your sweet little pussy wrapped around me, need to feel you, to fill youâoh, fuck. Let me? Give me that, please.â
He practically begs you. He ruts into your hand and speaks into your mouth like a bitch in heatâyouâre finding it hard to deny him. And he keeps begging. Keeps nipping at your lips and swiping your jaw now and then with his tongue. He's desperate. And you feel like you have no choice. ââŠOkay.â
Jing Yuan doesn't notice the uncertainty in your tone. He nearly jumps for joy, kissing you so passionately and hooking his hands on your ass, hoisting you up into the air. You squeal and he laughs, kissing you again as he properly positions his tip at your entrance. âBeen thinking about this since I first laid eyes on you,â
As he starts talking, he slowly slides you down on his length. You gasp and winceâheâs so fucking big. Your nails immediately dig into his shoulders and you try to brace yourself, but good God, itâs like heâs splitting your body into two. He slowly sinks in, kissing your cheeks and mumbling praises that don't do much to ease the burn of the stretch. You almost want to stop, but he's like a brick wall. Impossible to get through.
âYouâre so tightâŠâ He feels like heâs breaking you in. Like youâre untouched and not prepared to take him and it sets him off. Your whimpers are sweet and the way you hug him like you're scared to let go ignites that all-too-familiar carnal flame. He wants to ravage you. It takes a few moments but he finally bottoms out with a deep groan. âSo tightâŠso wetâŠfuck, it's like youâre made for me.â He does an experimental thrust and his heart swells at how you moan into his ear and clench around him tighter. âTaking me so well,â
This starts a rhythm of slow thrusts, the two of your bodies getting to know each other. Jing Yuan is so big and he feels even bigger inside of you. Your cunt feels like it's being reformed in its shape, stretching around him widely to accommodate every bit of him. And your pussy around him was so worth the wait. Your gummy walls welcome him with a tight, warm hug, and you leak down his length unabashedly. The combination of your arousal and his slow thrusts get you two acquainted quickly, and he steadily starts to pick up the pace.
Jing Yuan has shortly found his rhythm. He thrusts up into you while simultaneously maneuvering your hips down and youâve never felt anything like this before. He pounds you. Hard. Rough. And slowly gains speed. His heavy balls slap at your ass and your puffy clit kisses his pelvis and it all makes you weak. You bury your head into his neck and pull him closer to you, feeling enveloped in his strong hold. How he's easily able to hold you up and fuck you the way is he makes your stomach churn and knot. There's a rhythmic slapping that coordinates with his grunts and your cries and it's so loud and lewd, youâre sure the whole country club knows what you're doing. But it doesn't bother you. Because yet again, Jing Yuan works your body like an expert, plunging into your depths so well that you can't do anything but clench and drip around him like a broken faucet.
His hands are on your ass, squeezing and slapping your cheeks to make you squeal out, practically yelling his name for the masses. It all feels too good. He knows what he's doingâhow to angle his hips and find your G-spot almost instantly and abuse it until you feel like your brain has melted into mush, how to mix the pain of his calloused hands slapping your ass sweetly with the pleasure he bestows upon you, how to sweet-talk into your ear and flatter you so well that butterflies are born in your tummy and your hole clenches even tighter around him. He's experienced. He's taking your body on a trip it's sure to never forget and never replicate, and you wish you knew how he did it, because heâs only been thrusting into you for a few minutes and you feel like you're about to explode.
He's now pounding into you more furiously, and you chalk that up to his orgasm approaching him as well. âI'm gonna cum againâ!â you announce, voice low in a broken whisper. His thrusts get sloppy and he grunts to concur, âMe tooâlook at me,â
Your eyes meet and this might be the rawest moment you've ever had with Jing Yuan. There's nothing but passion and adoration in his golden eyes as he looks at you. And as he kisses you for the nth time this evening, it's soft. Kind. A complete one-eighty from how desperately and angrily he bullies his thick cock into your drooling cunt. âCum with me.â It's more of a demand than a request, but you nod in understanding anyway. You want to feel him throb and empty out his balls inside you. You want to hear his voice crack and break as he moans out your praises. You want to feel him give it to you until he can't anymore.
He snaps his hips into you, hard and one at a time. He goes as deep as possible, making your eyes blow wide and spill tears. He's so deep in your stomach it's almost like he pops the bubble of your orgasm himself, and you're spilling all over him in a matter of seconds. It was unexpected and you drawl out a whiny moan, grinding your hips back onto him subconsciously. Your orgasm makes him follow suit, and soon enough, you're filled to the brim with his semen. Warm ropes mix nastily with your own release and it drips out of your hole as he continues to thrust through your orgasms.
âOh shitâŠâs good, little one.â He kisses your cheek and carries you to the bench, laying you down. âOne more for me, âkay?â
Your mind is lagging behind. You didn't even catch his statement until he was sliding into you again, pressing your hands against your stomach to feel him inside of you. âSo deepâŠâ
âYeah? Feels good, doesn't it?â He wastes no time, not sparing a second to waste. You're still so sensitive, and so is he, and everything is so sloppy. So messy. Your eyes roll to the back of your head when he finds your sweet spot again, and fuck, it feels so good. ââM not gonna lastâŠâ
Jing Yuan basically crushes you against the hard bench, closing the proximity between you two and harboring the flame between your chests. His head in the crook of your neck shakes, âMe neither. Want you to keep it all in.â His pathetic rutting elicits the wettest sounds from your pussy, and the empty locker room echoes it around with bass. He runs on and on about stuffing you full, fucking his kids into you and you don't know what at what point that started to sound good to you. Your belly rumbled in that all-too-familiar wait, your orgasm wasted no time in building.
Your eyes start to tear even harder and white blotches soon cover your whole line of sightâbut not before Jing Yuan stills inside of you, dumping his second load inside of you with a guttural groan and clench of his abdomen. He rubs rough circles on your clit, murmuring about how you can do it until you clench around him, squirming beneath him as your orgasm hits you again. He doesn't pull out. He keeps you plugged up with his cock, forbidding his cum from leaving you. You didn't expect this to happen. Ever. But Jing Yuan? He always knew. It was just a matter of when.
So when your sight returns and you open your eyes to see him leaning over you, you smile happily. It was almost like you're Cinderella and he's Prince Charming, coming to rescue you from your hellish job in the most unconventional way possible. But unconventional feels good.
He won. No matter what he had to do, he won. His fantasy came to fruition and he would rather nothing else. This moment will be forever cherished, even if the distant opening of the door sounds off, and footsteps rapidly approaching bring you back to reality. He won. And nothing, or nobody, can change that. Youâre all his now.
