As a lover of ff6 first I'm almost offended at the crossover outfits in ever crisis bc it's like... ff7 overshadowed it entirely, and now the closest thing we have to modern renders of the cast outside of the brave exivus CGs is the cast of ff7 dressed as them 🫠

Holy moly a rendered drawing!? And it's Flatland!? AND it's sort of gijinka-fied?!?!?!? Crazy.

Drip or drown fellas? Be honest lol.

Okay, so some design choices I wanted to point out and "explain":

A. Square does not look any different because he is peak performance. The whole thing of 2D creatures who live "water" and look like amoebas was too good to tarnish. I kept it simple, gave him some boots to help with gravitational pain n stuff on his feet, and he has glasses cuz I saw some character in the movie with them and I thought it would vibe well. He looks a little older because of them, but whatever. The nerd needs to look like a nerd.

A. Sphere I took so many liberties with. At first, I went with the most basic CEO fit I could come up with, found it boring, gave him a vest and bowtie, cut the bowtie for a normal tie and gave him rainbow suspenders, then gave him the bracelets for funsies. The most consistent thing through all the versions was the analog watch (that he probably can't read lol).

He doesn't really feel like a CEO anymore, but c'mon, in canon he's a gold sphere and the only metallic solid. He's gonna look flashy and extra. It's a given.

Are you reeeally a Flatland fan if you haven't drawn or edited an image of A. Square being yeeted like a frisbee?

I feel like this is a staple, and I found this really amusing stock image that just fit so well.

I made the whole Flatland species friend-shaped. As an OSC person (yes I'm working on stuff related to it give me a sec), I could not see the Flatlanders as anything more than the silly stick limbed creatures of that community.

Spacelanders are different, but that's more so because of how the book refers to them. "Spacelanders" in the book, although the context is probably just different 3D shapes, are addressed as people who have people systems who do people things. So, I designed accordingly. (Also, I did NOT want A. Sphere to look like that one Pacman TV show. I think I would have combusted before finishing if he did.)

These were some doodles I worked with for just looks purposes. The tendrils(?) on their corners are the longest ones on their bodies. Circles have them all mostly uniform cuz they're boring.

complaining about creative writing post

#realistically i know it's fine and common and pretty popular even to do multiple works exploring the same theme #but after a while it does get slightly embarrassing to open a new document and do some shit to it and then sit back and go aw hell.#i did the thing i just did last week. but now it's a square #get a new trick guy!! write a different theme once in a while guy #rookposting #i woke up with a lawlight idea since ive been wanting to do another deranged oneshot that i mostly write at work so i started doing that #and then was like wow this feels remarkably too similar to the other shit i have already put them through #i need to like send them to the circus or something. get a new trick #i mean i can put them through it again!! i know no one will object to me putting them through it again #but i am wishing for some variety in my own diet that i am feeding to myself #this is not a post complaining about audience reception. this is a post complaining about lack of enrichment that i am giving myself #ALSO I THINK MY LIGHT NENDO MIGHT BE BEYOND REPAIR :( that has nothing to do with creative writing #but it does make me sad.

its so personally funny to me that literally everyone is team sasha (ie. maffhew, roddy) except sasha himself its "today? barky" "barky hes the best" "matthew tkachuk and you guys know why..." "id wanna be barky in tappara!" "its gotta be barky" "probably go cap!" "id say barky!" all over again like sasha youre bias is showing here please 😭😭😭

oh! now that you bring up forsy saying he saved the robes for gameday! (can we also talk about how cute his smile is as he says it because he looks so proud of himself that he listened to his captain when he told him to save the virginity of his bathrobes for the game)

it does makes sense why forsy was missing from the pic lundy posted on his stories (not that particularly means much considering ekky aj driedges spence adam jesper swaggy gadjo and kuli are missing) but in the sense that all the boys in the pic have their robes on or have them bundled in their laps sans lundy who takes tourguide duties very seriously! but even then forsy couldn't help but join in because he has them on as an extra layer during lunchtime so the cold mustve gotten to him somehow but to know even then he didn't go into the sauna with it... mmm... your restraint is admirable...

so really knowing all this the timeline gets so funny because this idea has been bouncing around probably since bzito gave them the robes in helsinki (whether that was when they landed oct 29 or the day after oct 30 when lundy played tourguide for them) and maffhew mustve quipped "man it would be so funny if we walked in with em huh?" to sasha and promptly forgot about it because he yaps unconsciously and anything out of his mouth comes out in a fugue state and also in a very "i say shit and i dont really expect to be taken seriously" kind of way, sasha made a personal note of it in the maffhew index he keeps in his head, told the team in a very sasha esque way aka "don't dirty robes too much we're gonna wear them for the game :]" and no one took him particularly seriously because its sasha he always jokes like this haha hes not really gonna- (reminds them day of probably via text) and go oh well i guess its a prank but i'll still wear them because it's sasha (shrugs) i don't mind being the butt of the joke if it's for sasha to which they're delightfully surprised when everyone shows up in robes and it slowly starts to dawn on them none of it was a joke at all

sans forsy who takes everything his captain says very seriously and diligently follows his every word and saved the sanctity of the robes for gameday merely because sasha told him to... which could mean nothing... of course...

dear god help us all...

I want to write I want to make girls be weird about each other in MY word docs I want to have creative projects and goals againn :/

#but i am. so tired #i also don't want it to be something i'm forcing myself through because i feel like that always backfires #this year to me has really been about figuring out what is actually important to me and in what ways i can push myself to grow without #sending myself back to square one again #i can kind of feel myself gearing up to create things again and have wants and goals again but it is sooo slow #absolutely everything wipes me out mentally which i guess it always did but now i can like. comprehend it!#i know what is happening in there but i am so clumsy at working around it. i hadn't practiced that a lot before #it's taking like multiple years to recover from stuff that other people seem to recover from easily #it's sooo annoying and it's not really about feeling like i wasted my 20s anymore #i am where i am it was my life and i spent it the way i did so far. i just can't change that #it's more about like Wanting to do so many things and feeling like there is the potential for so much and feeling held back by my own self #there are so many things i want to try now that i'm doing more than bare minimum surviving and it's like i want them all at once #but i can't possibly do them all at least not yet there just is not time or energy or money to do them all right away #i have trouble prioritizing

Making another baby quilt! Mostly because I want to buy more fabric but before I do that I need fabric out of my stash

My fabric going into my stash vastly outpaces my fabric going out and it’s really not sustainable lol
