If I had to describe it, I’m a lover for pink! When I was really you I loved it! My dad, single parent, went with the stereotypical “dress my daughter in pink” so I would wear a lot of pink dresses, skirts, shoes - everything was pink themed!

Then around secondary school time, so around 12-16, I didn’t like pink anymore because I thought “ugh pink is too girlie” and switched over to yellow and brown.

But then around 17 and onwards, I embraced my love for pink again. I don’t care if it’s “too feminine” or “too girlie”, it’s a beautiful colour to me - especially when the sky turns that colour around sunset and sunrise! 💗

I met Death

I met death. Not the death that most people think of. There was no towering figure with a massive scythe, no bone finger reaching out to me. Nothing like that. Death is a normal person, with dark colored clothes and a smile on his face. He came to me and said it was time to go. No fanfare, no grand white light. Just a young man in front of me, telling me it was time. I remember that I had pain before he came, but after that there was nothing. There was no pain. It felt good.

As we started walking together, I asked questions. The normal things you expect to ask; Am I really dead, What happens now, Do I get to say goodbye, etc. Death was kind, and answered all of my questions. Yes, I had died at work in my 50’s. We were going to the in-between place. We could stop and say goodbye to one person before I left, but after that I just had to wait.

We got to his car, a black one without any identifiable features, and he let me into the passenger seat. As I entered the car, my clothes changed into comfy loungewear. A pair of soft pants, a loose fitting button down, and a cozy sweater. I lost the glasses I had been wearing, but I didn’t need them to see anymore. As Death climbed into the driver's seat, my wife appeared in the backseat. She was confused, obviously, but I explained that I had died. She started crying, begging to come with me, but I stopped her. I explained that she needed to stay behind and take care of our animals, at least until they passed.

She asked me to wait for her and I said I would. Death confirmed that I could wait for her in the between place, and I kissed her one last time before she disappeared. I didn’t feel sad, which I brought up to Death. He politely explained that many people have the same experience and that it was completely natural. 

As we drove, I kept asking questions. Things that everyone would want to know. Are soulmates real? Is everything predetermined? Death's response was calm and collected. Nothing is perfectly predetermined, everything can change all the time. As for soulmates, things are a little more complicated.

People have many soulmates, spread all throughout time. Sometimes you get lucky and manage to find a soulmate from your time period, but other times you aren’t as lucky. Death told me that I have 4 soulmates, two past, one present, and one future. He showed me my past soulmates.

A young man from pre-civilization times, with scars running up and down his arms. The other, a female sailor. With the wind blowing through her hair, she looked calm. The same way I feel when I’m on the water. Then, my present soulmate. My wife, the one I just left behind. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be shown my future soulmate. They hadn’t been born yet, and there was no guarantee that they would be. 

After a long time, the car rolled to a stop. As I stepped out of the car, I felt everything melt off. All expectations, fears, worries, feelings, everything. I was stripped down to my own feelings. As we walked, my entire form changed too. I became the perfect version of myself. Just me.

While we walked, I noticed other Death’s. Some were leading their humans to the other side, others were just sitting and waiting for their humans to die. Everyone was calm and talking with their Death. My Death asked if I would like to meet some of my friends Deaths, and I said yes.

First, we met my wife’s Death. Another young Death with a style of dark academia and cottagecore together. They shook my hand, and told me they couldn’t wait to spend time with me once my wife died. After a short conversation, we moved on to my brother’s Death.

My brother’s Death was dressed comfortably. Loose ripped jeans and a band hoodie, with a confident smile. They shook my hand as well, and pulled me into a hug. I hugged back, knowing that my brother would likely feel it as well.

As we moved on, I was stopped by a Death that belonged to one of my friends. They smiled, and thanked me for being his friend. This Death was dressed as a traveler, a cloak, worn clothes, and a sword. I told them it was no problem, and we moved on. 

As I got into line, my body started to glow a little. Death smiled softly and told me that I had to wake up. It wasn’t actually my time, and I had more than 30 years left before he came for me again. I hugged him tightly and told him that I would miss him.

When I woke up, I realized that nothing had changed. I was in my bed, 18 years old, and more than mildly confused. This experience was weird as hell, but I did appreciate meeting Death before my time.

okay so a large part of me starting this blog is that i am v inspired to share my work and plans the same way a lot of knitting youtubers and knitting podcasters do so here is my humble attempt of doing it in textpost format.... this will probs be a long post so under the cut we go !

first off i wanna start off with my fall moodboard (this idea is heavily inspired by emily from high fiber knits on yt much love to her) that i just made on canva lol

i think if i were to give this one a name it would be medieval scholar autumn lol. medieval not in the riches and jewels and such way but in the cobblestones and horse drawn carriages and those white and cream buildings with dark brown wood beams all across them if you know what i mean. it's crisp weather and chilly nights and county fairs and clear blue skies and just a very vibrant autumn. the more scholarly side of it to me is hot milk tea and browns and creams and not necessarily dark academia (bc i think that has become too oversaturated and now everything qualifies as some sort of academia esque thing and i've decided that FOR ME its cringe and i dont care.) but like books and reading and stufying and studying groups because well i neeed to romanticize school because i have to do it now. now that i am taking a class and also working i really need to keep the motivation up and like. this will help bc i love pretty pictures. another thing i was heavily inspired by was this package of milk tea flavored kitkats that had a nice red and green tartan pattern on it now i don't like red and green together it always reads christmas to me but the pattern combined with the tea really spoke to me. tbh i don't know how often i would really go for this much orange i had a very specific vision in mind when making this moodboard but i feel like the aesthetic isn't fully captured, and that's okay ! i'm trying to learn and really internalize that moments are not things to have and own, and certain feelings and blips of time and that perfect slant of light, or scent of something sweet on a cool breeze, or sky just the right shade, cannot and should not be kept forever. they are there to exist and be experienced, and if they are forgotten later that's okay. it doesn't have to be owned to have mattered. all this to say that maybe the vibes aren't exactly right and i won't wear all of these on the perfect day for the perfect vibe because that doesn't exist outside of pinterest lol. on we move.

before the patterns, a disclaimer: i will not make all of these patterns, i know this. i might not even make or finish any of these patterns lmao i have work and school and while that doesn't take up all of my time, i am still a very beginner knitter (still haven't finished my first garment lol) and do not have the skills or the money or the time to invest in all of these patterns no matter how much i want to. i have other hobbies too ! and that's fine ! honestly a lot of the reason i am making this post is because i 1 love explaining my thought processes 2 i love planning stuff and 3 mmmm categorization. big fan of ravelry bundles its my jam. honestly im not even 100% tied to the idea that aesthetics and trends and seasons (in the fashion and style sense, not the natural phenomenon) are even a good thing or something that aligns with my morals and values. i just like pretty pictures and matching things around and stuff.

okay pattern 1 and the most likely one i am to cast on is the tonight top by lily kate france! i would use malabrigo sock in the colorway ivy, as i got this yarn as a gift from my friend when she was in paris <3 not much to say about this pattern in regards to what i would do with it, i just think it would be a nice way to learn some new skills and show off the beautiful green earthy yarn. and even tho it's not bright orange lol.

pattern 2 and now we're going in no particular order is the winter's pullover by ozetta. again really nothing special about this one but i do think a hand knit cozy sweater is a goal of mine just as a knitter and this one fits the bill! can never go wrong with a thick cozy sweater in fall

pattern 3 is the honeycomb cardigan by sedna yang which again, cozy cabled cardigan can't go wrong with that. do i think i will be knitting this any time soon? absolutely not. but i do think it fits the vibe very well even tho i will not be able to purchase yarn for it lol that is too expensive for me rn

pattern 4 is the romy sweater by sandnes design and tbh i'm not sold on this one. mostly picked it for the colorwork being reminiscent of the afformentioned medieval buildings with the dark wooden beams across the outside but. well i'm not sold. it does fit in as a cozy oversized sweater but idk if it's different enough from the others to really get me to wanna make it.

pattern 5 is the cadogan sweater by lily kate france and omg i do really love this design. like overall i just feel like it fits in with the vibe really well and is still modern and fun and new and feels like something i would by at a retail store so . !

pattern 6 is these tartan mitts by carolyn kern, although i wouldn't knit the mitts themselves, just use the tartan pattern and transfer them onto some different patterns, namely : the sirius skirt by charissa (which originally has a houndstooth pattern that also fits in but i have a vision in mind) as well as a sort of cape/capelet pattern as a little matching set thing. i have 2 patterns in mind for this, the butterfly cape by sj kim and the beauxbatons academy of magic capelet by dana williams-johnson. on the butterfly cape first, i love the sleeves and how they look in the photos on ravelry, but all of them include a belt and i really don't have any belts and am not a belt wearer so i'm not sure how this would really fit into my wardrobe and how often i would wear it. it looks beautiful but i'm not sure how much i would reach for it.... it also seems like the sleeves are connected to the lower body, giving it that butterfly wing shape, but that would limit movement and well. one of my goals in life and in my style is to never wear pieces that limit movement and make me more aware of how i can and can't move my body and draw my attention to how i'm moving around in life so like. there is that. now, the beauxbatons capelet is more of what i'm looking for and it looks easier to slap a pattern on there and not have too much trouble... however it is from the official harry potter knitting book which i do not support in any way shape or form. i have absolutely no qualms about pirating the book itself and taking the pattern from there, but the idea that it's connected to jkr puts me off of it a little bit. either way both of them look like they make beautiful finished objects, i just have to decide which one to make lol (if i make any at all. out of this tartan pattern mini collection i would probs make the skirt first and go from there)

pattern 10 is the agave by tricot design mcl and what drew me to this was the drawstring detail at the front. i don't think i would necessarly knit the full garment but maybe adding the detail to something like the milly skirt by sandnes garn at the bottom hem as like a little nod to the more medieval side of my plans and aesthetic.

okay finally pattern 12 is the penny gloves by petiteknit. a classic. cute. practical as gloves for when my steering wheel in my car gets cold. a fun small fall accessory when i'm not really an accessories gal.

and that's all ! in no way am i knitting all of these, this is an aspirational thing that also is mostly for my planning brain. honestly i think i might like planning out which garments to knit more than actually knitting them. either way happy knitting !

Modern SNK character fashion headcanons

} modern college headcanons!

} based off of my own personal opinions on what I think the characters would dress like today

} characters: Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Jean Kirschtein, Connie Springer, Sasha Braus, Marco Bodt

Eren Jaeger:

Eren didn’t really understand his own style till the end of his junior year. Now that he’s in college he definitely understands what looks best on him. But then again he can make anything look good. In middle school and all the way into sophomore year, he like strictly wore sports brand hoodies with either skinny jeans or joggers. Cause he like thought it made him look cool or sum.

Thankfully for him Mikasa naturally eased him into exploring things OUTSIDE of an adidas hoodie. Even if it took a while since he’s so gah damn stubborn, thinking he already looked good.

His closet consists of blacks, grays, and occasional whites. The oversized t-shirts, and leather. With his silver accessories. Eren’s style is not at all form fitted, he finds oversized to be comfier obviously, and he just overall feels more confident in bigger sizing.

Mikasa Ackerman:

So Mikasa has always been into the goth/ grunge style. But obviously as she got older and she understood what looked best on her and made her feel more confident, that elevated her style. Back in middle school she had that choker with like the crescent on it, with those distressed and bleached indie rock band shirts. That was kind of what was going on for her back then.

But senior year, she came back SWINGING. Like Jesus Christ everybody at school already knew Mika was beautiful before and admired her for her unique style but something about the summer before senior year had her just come back looking TOP TIER as if she could look any better. Wearing more skirts, dresses, new hair cut. And now in college she just is completely utterly comfortable in her own skin, and she doesn’t mind showing some in the process.

Her closet consists of blacks, dark purples, dark reds. With corsets, different patterned tights, lace. Wearing silver accessories, necklaces, piercings, rings.

Armin Arlert:

Now Armin obviously was that kid who had the rolly backpack and wore like a Minecraft tshirt in middle school. And literally all the way up until junior year he was wearing those basic ass striped polo shirts.

But THANK GOD for Mikasa. Her and Annie both kind of already knew what to go for and what would suit him.

So as he got used to this new style, he started doing exploring and shopping on his own. And needless to say he understood the assignment. The light academia style just LOOKS like it was made for Armin, and he loves it too. And now in college everyone kinda knows him as the cutie in the library.

His closet consists of neutrals like browns, whites, tans, blues. Wearing softer fabrics, knitwear, button ups and sweater vests with the occasional plaids. Blazers, and cardigans. And Armin doesn’t really wear accessories, besides his watch, and maybe like a single ring on his index finger but that’s about it.

Jean Kirschtein:

So Jean in middle school for sure wore like a Nike windbreaker like the same two everyday. And thought he was the shit cause he had a NIKE windbreaker. Up until senior year he was trying to really look into his own personal style.

But it’s kind of hard when you’re just so damn tall and constantly growing. So he kind of stuck with the basics jeans, maybe an oversized band tshirt and vans. But luckily being best friends with Marco who is also just as tall and has always dressed really well, he was able to kind of get an idea of where to start, style wise.

His style senior year and now into college really does suit him though. It’s a little more close fitted to his body, as his build is super nice, so he likes his clothing to accentuate it.

Compared to his other friends his style is a lot simpler but he manages to pull it off in a way that doesn’t make it look basic, but more so slick, and clean. His closet consists of dark greens, reds, whites and occasional tan. Wearing collared jackets, FLANNELS, button ups with the sleeves rolled up, and turtle necks. He does wear a lot of rings though, with like those like tie brecelets, and a chain, along with the simple small hoops.

Connie Springer:

So Connie in middle school was that kid who wore those like zip up hoodies with the faces on them, and wore that shit everyday with like khaki shorts.

But after he joined the basketball team in Highschool he just started dressing like his teammates. Joggers, hoodie, with the mf socks and slides. It wasn’t till like late senior year did this man just like all of a sudden have a style GLOW UP. And now in college he full on owns it with his fine ass.

Connie is 100% a sneaker head and I won’t be told other wise, man’s will lose his mind if someone steps on his sneaks, or if he finds a crease in them. His closet consists of all colors, he likes to wear color. Definitely into the oversized/ baggy fit. The street style really does suit him, and I know for a fact this mf is always wearing those fisherman beanies. He wears studs, with a chain and rings.

Sasha Braus:

Sasha in middle school 100% wore jorts (jean shorts) and no, I don’t mean the thigh high ones, I mean the above the knee jorts. She never wore like regular black and white shoes, NOPE. She literally only had those colorful, and patterned vans.

Once she got into Highschool she definitely went thru the skinny jeans and big hoodie phase. But the summer before senior year was when she kind of nailed down what not only was comfy for her (which is the most important to her in her style) but also what made her feel cute at the same time.

Her closet consists of all different colors, she likes being bright and standing out even if it’s a small pop of color. For sure a big pants small shirt girlie, baggy jeans, crop tops and tanks, baggy oversized shirts, and converse. As well as button ups that she throws over. It wasn’t till college though that she felt confident enough to show more skin.

Marco Bodt:

Marco in middle school literally always dressed nice, for a middle schooler at least. And he did it on his own. Wearing those long sleeves that had collars, and converse.

In Highschool it was pretty much the same but junior year was when he stepped it up big time. Experimenting with layers and different types fits seeing what looked best on him. Especially with how tall he his he knows how to dress his silhouette well.

His closet consists of mostly neutrals browns, greens, tans, whites, beiges. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love color, cause he does. Layering is his thing. Collared jackets, crew necks and long sleeves, with converse and straight fit pants, that he usually will cuff.

He doesn’t have any piercings, but he has thought about it, his go tos are rings, bracelets, and his watch though.

Raphael's & Kristina's Wedding

Just the aesthetic, references and inspo till I get around to actually making drawings and writing stuff for it.

Things might change when I actually decide to make it, but for now this is what I invision their wedding to be like.

This could be for any iteration, but it's mostly for Rise as that's the version of Kristina I have planned out the most. Though as of right now, I imagine their wedding would be very similar in all versions.

Kristina's Ring:

- Kristina wanted something vintage and preferrably gold, brass, copper in color. She also wanted it to remind her of Raphael,so she asked that it hold a red stone of some kind. Raphael wears a gold band to match her own, it was specially made to fit his finger.

Bridesmaids Dresses:

- Raphael let Kristina handle/choose the bridemaids dresses, as he had no preference on the matter. To match with the ring and her flowers, Kristina decides that she wants the dresses to be red and elegant. (I'm leaning more towards the 1st set of dresses, but I honestly like them both so idk which to choose. If you'd like, please let me know which one you think would suit the wedding better! It'd be a great help. Thank you!)

Kristina's Dress:

- Kristina wanted a dress that sort of matched her own style. (I feel that she gives off a more dark or light academia kind of vibe) so she goes for something a little more fantasy like. Something with big sleeves, a tight bodice and a long flowy skirt.

The Bouquet(s):

- Again, Kristina wanted something red to match the bridesmaid dresses and her ring. And she didn't want just roses. Roses could be mixed in, but she wanted other flowers as well. Her main three colors were red, green, and white. Something that also gave her fantasy vibes.

Their Head Pieces:

- Kristina didn't want to wear a veil, and instead decided to wear a gold leaf headpiece. Her mother wore something similar for her wedding, so it was also something setimental. Their brides maids/maid of honour/flower girl, also wore leaf headpieces, though theirs were silver.

The Venue:

- They wanted to get married somewhere nice. Somewhere outside of New York so they could really party and celebrate properly with their friends and family without worrying about anything or anyone. So, Kris' parents offered for them to host it at their family cottage. Somewhere Kristina would go to all the time during the summers and winter break. A place she had even taken the Hamato's a few times. It was special and private. Not to mention beautiful, with all the gardening her father did. Therefor it was perfect. They could set up a big tent outside in the yard and decorate it all nice so there was enough room for everyone. And some people could stay the night if they wished so they didn't have to worry about driving home late.

The Groom & Groomsmen Attire:

- Depending on which version of TMNT it is, they would be wearing different things. As some versions of the turtles have a easier time wearing actual clothes than others. Obviously Raph's brothers are the groomsmen (+Casey depending on the iteration). So some versions would wear tux's, or at least nice white/black button up shirts. Possibly suspenders or/and fancy pants or something-- idk I haven't figured out the guy's section yet hehe.

The Playlist:

- Kristina loves classical music. Among other types, but for their wedding, classical just suited it best. So they went along with songs like this.

The Ring Bearer and Flower Girl:

- The ring bearer was Kristina's cat. Who they trained to carry and bring the rings to them. It wasn't hard, he's always been well trained. All they had to do was attach the rings to his collar. The flower girl was Kristina's biological mother and aunt figure. She's important to Kris and Kris wanted her to have a role in the wedding, but she (her "aunt") didn't want to be a bridesmaid and asked to be the flower girl since they didn't really have anyone else and she thought it would be fun. She wore the same dresses as the brides maids.

The Maid of Honour:

- The Maid of Honour is/was Kristina's mum, Lorie Lennox. She wanted her mother to have a bigger role than Mother of the Bride, and she's one of Kris' best friends.

The Best Man:

- In most versions I believe Raph's best man would probably be Casey. But for Rise, I think Raph would get his brothers to draw straws or pick a number between 1 and 100 and whoever got it closest would be his best man or something lol. In the end, Mikey won and made sure to rub it in his brother's faces.

The Bride's Maids:

- Kristina's brides maids would consist of her closest friends, especially if they knew the turtles. I'm not sure about the other TMNT iterations as I've currently been only really planning Rise, so we'll stick with that. I believe Iris ( @digitl-art-monstr 's OC ) is introduced after Raph and Kris are already married, so unfortunetly I don't know if she'd be in the wedding. At least not in the Rise iteration. In the other iterations I'm not sure, so she has a chance to be apart of the bridal party there! Which is awesome hehe. Alba ( @rheawritesforfun 's OC ) would definitely be one of the bride's maids. (partners in crime forever haha) So would April. I don't know if Ro ( @rheawritesforfun 's OC ) would be introduced at this point, I don't think so, at least not in the Rise version which means she wouldn't be apart of the bridal party either. So April, Alba and Lorie (+ her birth mum/aunt who is still unnnamed lol) make up the bridal party.

The Grooms Men:

- The Grooms Men are Leo, Donnie, and techinically Mikey. (+Casey depending on the version, he wouldn't be there at all for Rise) Leo would be partnered with Alba (ofc). Donnie would be partnered with April. And Mikey would be partnered with Lorie. (totally wanna draw/write this, I think it would be hilarious-)

The Officiant(s):

- Kristina and Raphael had two officiants for their wedding. They asked Splinter to do it, of course. But they also asked Westly, Kris' father to do it as well. They wanted both of their father's to have bigger roles in their wedding and decided this was the best course of action. Plus it'd be interesting to witness. Westly still walked Kris down the isle, he just joined Splinter at the altar instead of sitting down or standing off to the side.

The First Dance:

- Kristina's and Raphael's first dance together was to the song below. And yes, they both cried during it.

The Food:

- Most of the food was made by Westly and Mikey, to help with their budget costs. Westly is an amazing cook and baker and Mike is too. They incorperated both cultures and had a lot of fun with it. They started with cute little pizza appetizers. Then they had chicken kebabs with rice and fried veggies for mains. And of course a shit ton of alcohol and a ice cream bar.

The Cake:

- The cake matched the rustic/cottagecore vibes and had edible flowers and vines wrapped all around it. It was three tiers and covered in white icing. And the flavour of the cake was red velvet.

The Honeymoon:

- While everyone left Kristina's family cottage/cabin, Kristina and Raphael stayed behind for the next couple weeks. Opting to save money and stay there for their honeymoon. I will write a whole special imagine/oneshot for this someday. So I won't say too much. Let's just say it was very much like the after math of the room from Twilight. ;)

Shingeki no Kyojin Headcanons: 104th training corps (College AU - Outfits pt I)

Hello, Postmodernbeing here. I decided to continue writing about this College AU , only this time, I'm making some outfits HCs, since I'm working in a oneshot and this visuals could be helpful. Also, it seemed like a lot of fun so I've decided to give it a try. Hope y'all like this. Much love.

IMPORTANT: I do not own Shingeki no Kyojin nor the trend of this outfits-displays, only this HCs belong to me. // Contains spoilers (for the icons that I used in some characters) // English is not my first language, so I ask for your patience and understanding.

Eren Yeager

Chains and rings of stainless-steel. Combat boots matching faux-leather jackets with studs and pins from bands.

Has a few flannel shirts (that he stole from Zeke, his brother doesn't mind, tho). But for the most part, Eren's shirts are from merch of bands with a few (handmade) changes.

Eren likes to sew badly on purpose some patterns or figures by following quick tutorials. All his clothes are modified or drawn over.

While his main looks are metal head alike, he also wears snickers, hoodies, sporty pants, and jackets to class. Pretty laid back, he looks as he just woke up from a nap all the time tbh.

Sometimes goes skating but he’s not that good, his skateboard is more of a fashion statement really.

Has both ears pierced around (lobe type) and tattoos on both arms.

It’s pretty obvious to this point, but I’ll say it anyways: Eren wears black religiously. Definitely he’s open to darker shades of any color, but must wear something black at least.

Mikasa Ackerman

Our girl wears black clothes mostly. She doesn’t have a preference between skirts/dresses or pants, but you’ll rarely see her wearing jeans.

Many skirts and ripped tights to match with platform boots or classic converse. Also owns a large wardrobe with different hoodie and shirt sizes and designs yet mostly in dark shades.

Lots of necklaces and rings with perforations to match, none in her face yet lots in her ears. Mikasa has only one tattoo: Azumabito’s clan logo.

Speaking about Azumabito’s, whenever she’s working with them, she wears faux leather jackets at most, and her classic red turtleneck. Nothing too exaggerated nor formal.

A total goth since middle school, and even though in college finds it a bit unpractical, she tries to keep it as loyal to her style as possible.

Books and notebooks are part of her attires. She’d be writing or reading at any time that’s possible. Not always about her classes, tho. She also likes novels and arts. An artsy goth, perhaps?

Armin Arlert

Sky blue is his color. Matching it with classy pants and blazers in clear colors.

His wardrobe looks like one that belongs to an aristocrats’ son. Some light-academia realness.

He can pull off some casual looks with sneakers but it’s more common for him to wear his oxfords, cap toes or moccasins to class, or anywhere really.

Cardigans, vests and blazers are his best friends as soon as autumn arrives. Always in colors such as beige, green, brown, and grey.

Armin is easily the best dressed from all his group of friends, and I’m not even open to discuss this. Let’s just remember his canon outfits throughout the four seasons. Even in a Modern AU he’ll keep being the king he is.

Not a big fan of accessories though. Except for his handkerchiefs that match his blazers. Since his grandfather used to choose his clothes, he taught Armin that a handkerchief was a gentleman’s must carry. Now he wears them only to pay his grandpa honor, as a lesson more so.

Jean Kirstein

King of brown jackets and turtlenecks. Really, his wardrobe is in such color harmony. It’s impressive.

Little to no accessories besides an occasional scarf or a single ring matching some bracelet.

Although he’s used to wear a consistent type of clothes and even colors, he wouldn’t dare to define a style for himself, is it boho? art hoe? dark academia? Maybe we’ll never know.

Zero perforations only because he’s scared of pain, but Jean is really drawn into them, so he uses fake ones for his ears sometimes. Has only one little hidden tattoo, made when he started college and lost a bet against Sasha and Connie.

Jean’s always stylish, clean, and smelling like cologne. He also has an extensive routine for shaving, combing his hair and trimming his beard.

Second best dressed of all his friends. Lowkey loves fashion but keeps it for himself (and Marco). Plus, in her mother’s house he keeps more clothes than his dorm' wardrobe can storage.

Marco Bodt

Colorful, youthful, and casual, that’s his style. Marco’s clothes reflect his joyful personality and every time he enters a room, he brightens the mood so easily.

A lot of denim and if he’s not wearing bright colors, you can be sure he’s caring something white with him (a bandana, a baseball cap, a scarf or his sneakers).

Shares with Jean a special appreciation for clothing, except Marco prefers more laidback and casual outfits.

Has no tattoos but recently got both ears pierced. He decided to since he really likes the earrings that k-pop idols wear.

If spring was a wardrobe, Marco would have it. I can’t stress this enough. Just so pretty and genuine.

Also, he definitely uses accessories (small jelly or colorful rings, bracelets of all kinds and simple necklaces) but there's more, he uses objects that are not meant to as accessories too. Such as band aids and small stickers around his face, skates in his backpack and flowers in his pockets.

Sasha Blouse

Unironically messy style. No matching patterns nor colors, different textures and sizes that made little to no coordination in her outfits. Unaesthetic is her aesthetic.

She likes baggy jackets and jeans with big pockets for snacks obviously, midi-skirts and graphic tees. Sasha is the definition of zero fucks given and still looking cute.

Of course, she knows how to pull off some cool outfits, it’s just that she doesn’t care that much unless is specifically required.

Not a big fan of accessories besides belts (maybe) and her backpack. Unless we’re talking about bucket hats that became a must wear thanks to Connie.

“Borrows” Nicolo’s hoodies/shirts that wears with her favorite threads. Then plays dumb when her bf asks her about his clothes. They both secretly love that dynamic.

Sasha plays it safe when it's about her hairstyle, also not a big fan of makeup -at least not the way Mikasa or Historia do-, but she’s open to try new things if her best friends dare her to.

Connie Springer

King of striped shirts and golden chains. His style is mainly urban and youthful. Conniegod remains unmatched in his awesomeness even in a Modern AU, if you ask me.

Owns a collection of sneakers that wears with his numerous printed socks. So creative and colorful.

Also, Connie has a small collection of unique shaped tinted glasses, also bucket hats and simple stainless steel chains.

Has small fun tattoos around his legs and arms, ears pieced but nothing too grunge. Speaking of which, he matches religiously his earrings with his chains that hang of his belt.

Usually wears dress pants or cargo pants. Anything but denim or really skinny fitted pants. Coincidentally, most of his shirts are loose too.

Definitely brings his skateboard with him all the time so it’s part of the outfit, really (Eren tried to copy that from Connie, let’s be honest). He’s so good at skating, and when he doesn’t feel like walking around campus, skating is always a good idea.

I had so much fun writing this! I love the dark academia aesthetic! And it made perfect sense and it wasn’t too much! Having a lot actually helps me expand and write more so thank you. Okay, so you are very different compared to the large number of characters on the boardwalk. Your style consisted of button shirts, sweaters or turtle necks, dress pants or a plaid pleated skirts, cardigans or waistcoats, oxford shoes or even wire framed glasses if you wore them for seeing or just for the look. 

To say that you caught the boys attention would be an understatement. You seemed to stand out amongst the crowd and they became curious. You were a mystery to them and they love the challenge. 

Somehow, someway, after days or weeks later, you became good friends which soon lead to you dating four trouble making punks. It was tough on both parts, but it happened, and hey, you weren’t complaining. 

You were very blunt when you first met them, not really interested in them and more or less interested in the book in your hands. It took a lot of “accidental” run ins to even get you to hang out with them. 

You slowly opened up when they offered to take you out for dinner at a local diner. They’re constant joking soon had you letting out small, almost whisper-like giggles and tiny smiles that sent them into a frenzy. 

When you would start talking about yourself, your ideas of fun were different from theirs. You liked museums, opera houses, bookstores and going to theaters to see plays. The games you played were chess and cards, and the music you listened to was old. You were pretty sure they thought you were boring but you actually peaked their interest. 

After a while of being friends with them, they asked you out. You liked them and the only logical step was to see if you liked them the same way they liked you was to date them, so you said yes. 

In general, them having a girlfriend with a 1940s/1950s dark prep look was fun. David and Dwayne like it the most. Paul next, then Marko. 

David actually really likes picking out your clothing on most days. You have an extensive collection of clothing with material from cashmere to linen, all the colors consisting of browns, black, cream and even a little dark green. 

His favorite thing to put you in is trench coats. Doesn’t matter what color it is, he just likes seeing you in them. Also, there are a handful of times that he has MADE you wear his trench coat. Yeah it almost swimmed on you, but he thought it made you look cute and it fit in perfectly with your look. 

Dark academia isn’t only your style, but it’s your way of life. David is the one that plays chess with you. You had to reteach it to him and pretty soon, the two of you had your own little set up in the cave that was always ready for a game of chess. 

David is sort of like you… in a way when it comes to others feelings. But deep down he knows that he really likes you and tries to show it the best he can. He took you to a theater to see a play that you were constantly talking about and so he took you on a date. You being you, didn’t realize that’s what it was until he told it straight to your face. Let’s just say you were speechless for the next hour. 

Also, when it’s just the two of you, deep inside the cave where your nest is, classical music is playing from your record player. It could be Beethoven, Tchaikovsky or Mozart. Whoever it is, David is the one that will listen to it with you the most. I think he really enjoys classical music and he enjoys it even more if the two of you are cuddling in your bed. 

Occasionally Dwayne would join the two of you. You would be sitting in between David’s legs as Dwayne sat in between yours, his head leaning back against your chest. It was like a cuddle pile… cuddle train?? Whatever you wanted to call it, it was cuddling while the three of you relaxed listening to classical music. And it was darn cute. 

Dwayne loves listening to you go on and on about any books you were reading at the moment. Whether or not it was nonfiction or even about any type of history. He was down. He lived through a lot and he knew about half of the stuff you gushed on about, but for some odd reason, it never bored him when you talked about it. 

He would be the one to get you new books, leaving you sweet little notes tied to them. Of course you thought it was just him being nice and thanked him for it without thinking there was any romantic meaning behind it. Yeah he was one of your boyfriends but it never really crossed your mind that way. He would just shake his head at your obliviousness and give you a small peck on the lips. 

Don’t ask him why, but his favorite look on you is a light cream colored blouse with a plaid skirt and Mary Jane shoes. Dwayne is a leg man so… he’s very happy when decide to show off some skin if you decide not to wear knee-socks or stockings with it. Even if you did wear them, he would still be attached to your side the entire night. 

Like David, Dwayne would bring you out to a lot of places that were opened late at night. If there was an art exhibition in town or even a museum that was open late, just say the word and he will happily drive you on his bike. Heck, David might even tag along. 

Also, late night bookstore dates… oh my heart, it’s too sweet it hurts. There are times that he does have to throw you over his shoulder when the bookstore is closing and you're pretty much refusing to leave. When he does that, you just stay frozen over his shoulder, not knowing if you should be blushing or cursing at him for carrying you like a sack of potatoes. 

If anything, you and Dwayne connect very well. You’re naturally very quiet and so is he. Not much is said between you two but there's a mutual understanding that can’t be explained. While the others are out causing trouble, you and him are on the sidelines watching hand in hand or your reading and he's just staring at you as you do so. 

Paul and Marko kind of give you whiplash. They’re loud and rowdy and definitely 100% opposite from you. But they interested you. They had a very chaotic outlook on life which made you ask many questions. 

Paul found your look sexy. He’s horny and you give off preppy school vibes, he’s living for it 24/7. Constant teasing of you giving him ‘private lessons’ which results with you whacking a book against the back of his head. But it doesn’t stop the reddening of your ears which doesn’t make him stop.  

This man is also your designated jewelry expert. You only wear some accessories and they're very simple. So you are very surprised when Paul finds you jewelry that is your style and collects it for you. You like leather watches, guess what, he’s got it for you. You want some fancy victorian looking brooches, he’s got that too. Simple rings with a single jewel in the middle, expect constant ‘will you marry me’ jokes, but he gets you the best.

Also, he’s not overly big into your music selection. He does try to get you into his type of music, which you only like very few and far between. But when you do get him to listen to your type of music, it’s only if you agree to listen to his music the next night. You guys come up with a system and decide to switch every few nights. 

Each of the boys have their favorite look on you and Paul's is when you wear a button-up of any color with a simple black tie, a pencil skirt and a pair of Dr.Marten boots. He especially likes the tie… for reasons. God damn it, you know the reasons, get out of here. 

He’s a very affectionate boy and he finds your looks over confusion some of the cutest shit he’s ever seen. Probably the first one to tell you that he loves you and you honestly like glitched out. Did you feel the same way? Yes, but poor little thing you doesn’t say it right away, but Paul knows that you aren’t really used to saying things like that without warming up to it. Which is okay. He knows even if you don’t say it. 

He definitely steals one of your blazers to put pins on it. Marko helps, putting a few patches on it that they both know you would like. It’s the one item that stands out in all of your clothing and you will wear it if they ask you to. 

Marko definitely thinks the look is cute and it suits you very well, but why no color?! You wear dark colors but nothing bright like the colors that are on his jacket. He tries to slip in some colorful clothing into your everyday look, it never goes as planned but you give him an A for effort. 

He loves how dark you can be at times though. You want to go to a local graveyard just because? Sure! Let’s go! He’s your designated graveyard buddy. You have many date nights there, looking at all the different gravestones and finding it interesting when you jot down some names in one of your notebooks. 

Speaking of notebooks, you have many of them. They were filled with notes from books you’ve read, real life observations or even just some random poetry and short stories that you wrote. Marko would go through them a lot and even sometimes draw little doodles or rough sketches that were thought up from your writings. 

When you spend nights down at the Boardwalk, your go to drink isn’t a slushie or a milkshake or even a soda. It’s coffee or tea. Yeah, and only Marko knows your drink orders by heart. None of the others seem to remember them correctly which you thank them for trying but Marko has got them all beat. 

Marko likes seeing you in sweaters and in your trousers or linen shorts with chelsea boots. If anything, when the two of you are alone, just wearing a knit sweater and shorts were perfect for him. He likes how cozy and warm you look. He’s very happy when he cuddles you and you are warm. 

Now when they tell you that they’re vampires, you think that they’re joking. Vampires aren’t real, they’re a work of fiction. Yes there was a real man named Dracula, but there was no way that they were actual vampires. 

Then they showed you hard proof and then there was no denying it at that point. Instead of running away, you were fascinated. You wanted to understand your boyfriends vampire ways that lead to you conducting extensive research and a notebook dedicated to them. 

They showed you everything about them, how they feed, to which you didn’t bat an eyelash of watching them feed one night. You were one morbid chick but they saw that as a plus that you didn’t react. You had graveyard dates for crying out loud, nothing really surprised them at that point.

Flying came next and they had a lot of fun showing you just how high they could go with you in their arms. You never screamed at the height, you were too caught up in seeing the overhead view of the town. You could get used to seeing a view like that every night.  

Then came the other things; how they slept before you came along, what actually hurt them and what didn’t. There was one time that you stared at their vampire faces for hours because you were taking notes on how their facial features changed. 

Soon you had to stock up on more turtlenecks because of the many bite marks they would leave behind from feeding on you if the weather was bad one night. It wasn’t tough adapting to their occasional feeding. A lot of your clothing already covered up your skin so it was easy to hide from people on your nights out. 

Not too long after, they popped the question. Would you want to be a vampire? Live forever, never grow up? Be with them for all eternity? You didn’t really need to think about it for too long, you knew what your answer was and so did they even if you didn’t say it out loud. You loved your boys and not much would change.

When you did change, it was entertaining for them to watch. You soon started taking down notes about your progress, comparing and contrasting your experience to their own. 

To the eyes of many, you became even more dark and mysterious. You had an aura around you that drew people in, it’s what got you your four vampire boyfriends, only now, it brought in your meal for the night.

MIKASA; An outcast that was never really looked at. She's a goth girl that might seem scary and out of place, but it's sweet once you get to meet her well.

•Also this girl fashion style? My God it's so on point you will want to be like her, even if you're not into that. I see her wearing plaid skirts,fishnets, croptops and a lot of chains and chokers.

•She surely had a vampire phase and will make you watch the whole damn saga of Twilght unironically...she's team Edward btw.

•I don't know why but I feel like she would be low-key into witchcraft. This happened after the night she watched the craft for the first night adn now she's secretly looking for some love spells just in case.

•I feel like Mikasa would go for a literature major or maybe something medicine related?? I honestly don't know, I also see her being a social worker for some reasons

•Mikasa is a hopeless romantic that will idealize you, she can't belive this is happening but she's happy that it's real.

•You'll be reading lovecraft, listen to some darkwave/post-punk songs as you dance or make out, and have some cute moments togheters that will make your knees go week.

•She's shy with pda but will hold your hand and kiss you happily when you're in public. She will blush but will have this tiny smile on herself that will not leave, she's giddy.

• I feel like she would be clingy and dependant. You know, texting you all the time and hanging of your arm whenever you're togheter.

•This relationship isn't a hobby for her, but it kinda seems like it.

•Also Mikasa can get possessive when she's jealous, she doesn't want to lose you but also doesn't want to admit that she feel this way. So her solution will be acting passive-aggressively

ARMIN; The boy who was labeled as the "weirdo" for reading some manga in Middle School...also his hairtcut didn't helped at all. Armin doesn't fit in and never has, so he's a shy boy who wants to feel like he belongs somewhere.

•He has grown up to be a cute boy who's majoring in ocean biology and will geek out if you ask him about it.

• Also, Armin is really into manga, anime and comics, and has no problem with dragging you into a whole Star Wars marathon, before binge watching one of his favorite animes.

• Eren is really good when it comes to gaming, the thing is that he gets mad pretty quickly and will insult everyone who gets in his way or kills him. I feel like he would be a streamer, maybe not a big one, but his viewrs like him and that's enough for him.

•I'm torn between him majoring in something related to humanitarian work, engineering or joining the army.

•His style could be called "grunge", to be honest, Eren doesn't put much effort into dressing himself. He wears a lot of dark colors, chunky rings and has chipped black polished nails from time to time.

•TW drugs, I barely know anything about this one since I'm not into it so bare with me. Eren is a stoner who's not oppsed to share a blunt with his friends and that will roll one for you if you ask really nicely. However, he will not pressure you into smoking or taking an edible since he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable and will pretty much tell others to fuck off if they bug you for it.

•When Eren is like this he gets touchy. The first thing that comes into his mind is cuddle with you, so he will pull himself on top of you and wrap his arms and legs onto you and ask for kisses with a pout, also it drives him insane when you play with his hair.

• It's kinda hard for Eren to low down his guard and be romantic, he doesn't want to embarrass himself and those love words just sound weird in his mouth.

•He prefers physical touch over anything else, therefore he loves to have you closer to him by wrapping an arm around your waist, kiss your temple when you're hugging and make out in any alone time you get.

•He's a sweet boyfriend who makes you feel butterflies in your stomach when you're together, but he can get jealous easily and his temper usually goes out of the way and makes him get in trouble. Eren can come off as possessive sometimes, but he brushes it off by saying he's just like that because he cares a lot about you. Yeah, this can get kinda toxic if you don't work that out.

• Being with him is addictive and you'll find yourself craving for his touch and to be with him, but don't worry, he feels the same way.

You know, for all I care abt my ocs fashion, I never considered canon characters. I mean some are obvious ( Marnie and Piers), but some aren't. I'll just focus on ( Legendverse) Hop here cause I wanna round out the Galar Trio.

When standing next to Naomi, you would notice they share a similar color scheme: purple, blue and yellow/gold( Naomi's accessories in her hair, as well as the gold crown pin holding her hair back). The main difference is that Naomi wears more lighter softer tones in comparison to Hop. This is especially shown in the neutral colors ( Naomi wears more white while Hop wears black). With all of that in mind, I figured that Hop and Naomi kinda share a similar style ( simple comfy clothes, sweaters), though with darker color tones are different. I also believe that Hop shows more of his sporty side compared to Naomi ( you can't really tell she can suplex you at first glance lol). I also feel he wouldn't wear things that are as loose compared to Naomi( her sweaters tends to be a bit puffy/baggy.) He's more compact, but still flexible enough to run and do lots of work in. I made a headcanons that Hop likes crochet, so I can imagine him wearing his own stuff time to time.

Both Hop and Carol share a similar style.... except Carol can be a fashion disaster. It amazes Hop how they can wear something so suave on day, but wear whatever the heck they are wearing the next. Anyway. Carol's base design is actually the most in game accurate: the green varsity jacket, a graphic tee( OR a button up. Still deciding) and their grey beanie( not to self: make sure Carol wears some greys). Little accessories of course: fingerless gloves, and a black choker necklace.

Honestly, as I say it, while the two have a darker tone compared to Naomi, Carol is clearly more 'edgy' of the two. Hop still has this level of softness that Carol doesn't really show ( I mean. In their base design anyway). They do have some level of sportiness ( Carol's varsity jacket, Hop's track pants.... I think that's what they're called), so there's that.

Finally, I think Hop ( especially post swsh) kinda embraces his nerd side a bit more. Fun fact: my version of Hop actually wears glasses, but he hates them lol. I can see him wearing wearing, like, academia occasionally( honestly both light and dark). Sometimes his clothes would be uneven, especially if he's in a rush( which he always seems to be lol).

Uh, I know I didn't really specify Hop's fashion until the end, and even then that's like a small part of how I see it, but I feel like comparing the Galar Trio is the best way to get my thoughts out ( and gush about Nomi's and Fitzs outfits ha). Yugioh S5 Ep 19: Yugi and the Only Neck Accessory He Didn’t Really Want to Wear

Been busy! Hopefully stuff will open up soon as I’m taking a hiatus on a different quarantine project and will be finishing painting the entire roof of my car this week? One can hope. Sanding the rust off the whole top of a car takes a long time it turns out?

Also, fun Yugioh fact, I recently painted a book cover for an author who is older so she’s never seen the show, and she looked at my tumblr, saw my Duke Devlin fanart and was like “That’s him. That’s my main character. OMG. You captured him perfectly!” and I was like “Ma’am that is Duke Devlin, hence the single dice earring on his lobes there, but we can work with this.” and now a spiritual Duke Devlin is on the cover of a Wuxia-style fantasy trilogy on the Vella. Had to give him a top knot and delete the eyeliner for Wuxia reasons but uh, that’s just Duke.

So long story short, fanart can get you work, don’t even worry about posting that stuff online because most people don’t even know it’s fanart anyway and older ladies freakin love it.

Back in Yugioh, the team was doing their best to navigate a map through the woods and they do about as well as they normally do.

And inside Tristan lifted up the floorboards and was like “I found the only way out, this is it, this is the only way.”

And they ended up in something that has a color scheme I would actually associate with a jungle. Finally. We have finally left California (in order to go to another Hell.)

Youknow, when we went to California, we visited Hell, and when we went to India, we also took a stop at the nearest death destination. There’s just so much death on this show and sometimes I forget because there’s been a ghost in our party for so freakin long it’s been normalized.

Joey freaks out at a flock of crows and reveals in this episode something I never realized about him before.

Like I’m not always the perfect observer as I’m sure you’ve noticed, but I love that this is canon for probably only this episode, but I will never forget it for the entirety of this series.

Bro was like “Maybe it’s a deep cut about Mai Valentine because she’s a harpy lady” but eh...pretty sure we spent like an entire season of Joey telling us that Mai was a good experience? Would be incredibly funny if immediately after all of S4, Joey was like “You know what? Screw Mai, guys.”

So my thoughts...it’s probably just a literal bird experience. Like I had a friend who hated deer because once she went to a petting zoo, got some pellets to feed the deer, but her finger was sticking up, so when the deer came over to nibble on some pellets her finger went up it’s nose by accident. She was so disgusted by this event that was entirely her fault, that she brought up how much she hated deer basically whenever we saw one.

So like...maybe Joey fed a bird wrong at a petting zoo. I can see him getting bit by a parrot because he was too Joey Wheeler.

But now that we’re in a graveyard neighborhood, Pharaoh decides to hop out because there’s a lot of ghosts here and he needs to practice socializing with his peers.

So that’s just a Yugioh monster doing the ostrich dance, right? Like this is a meme from like 2010 but on Yugioh in 2003(4?)

So they pull out their Pokemon to do some antics, Tea looked like she was about to do something useful, and Yami does a yump across time and space to get her as far away from playing (not)cards as quickly as possible and y’all...sure was a position these animators animated.

Holy crap.

And I was going off about that scene last season where they woke up in the same bed like...

...have these two been together this entire time? Like together together?

They’re like...way more comfortable than you’d figure they’d be considering Yugi nearly passes out every time he gets a hug. But Yami just like....How long has this been going on? As long as Joey’s fear of birds?

Like obviously this show would never cover what the hell Yugi may be thinking about this overreaching move here, because we’re gonna gloss right over that, and just run away up a flight of stairs. No one mentions this ever again. Which is mind blowing for an anime to do. I think in most anime I watch, the kids would be like “ahh ahhhh I bumped into a booooob!” like it does for I want to say every other episode of My Hero Academia. But in Yugioh, they saw that low hanging fruit and they were like “we expect a higher level of maturity out of our audience. Now here’s a fleet of ostrich dancing tree monsters with faces for crotches.”

They decided to sprint up this flight of stairs, and it enough of a slope to deter the monsters who are only unbalanced weird legs.

I want us to take a moment and admire this background painting. I can’t unsee the rocks that are all the same size, just piled on top of eachother. Did Alexander the Great just plop rocks here--or was the mountain made up of tons of similarly shaped boulders?

Like there’s a lot of nice bg’s in this arc, don’t get me wrong, but this one...I’m just trying to wrap my head around the logic of it.

At the top, they meet a pantheon, that is immediately blocked by this wall, because if this arc had a tagline, it’s “Yugi gets inconvenienced every 4 seconds.”

Bro was like “Clearly they would have pushed it over if Tea wasn’t slacking off” and like...she is actually. Look at her. Only used one hand? Slacker.

Joey was disappointed he couldn’t push over a massive wall, and the team decided not to analyze how much Joey Wheeler thinks of his own strength and instead fixate on these statues.

Usually in anthro characters they kinda look birdlike but act human. But what about an anthro that’s just a bird? Like human torso, but can turn his head 180 degrees? Yugioh made me ask this question.

And then Joey was like “wait, there may be a solution that isn’t just to use brute strength!”

Youknow it is a bummer that Kaiba couldn’t witness Joey own a dragon while he himself only has a robot jet dragon. Although, the jet is probably faster, stronger and overall...better than this baby dragon. It would have been great for Kaiba to witness Joey under-utilize this dragon and forget he has it for like huge swatches of the episode.

And then Grandpa pulled some body horror out of nowhere.

Wow.

I mean that is really gross.

I guess Grandpa can’t use Blue eyes, because Kaiba ripped it up, Grandpa can’t use Exodia because Weevil tossed it off a boat, and grandpa can’t use the card that’s just a building because...it’s a building.

So instead Grandpa has a bunch of meat and bones that look like something out of Doom. It’s probably from a more obscure Konami property, but I forget which.

I’ve seen Tristan hold back Joey in this hold, first time it’s been Tea.

So much shipping in this episode, it’s wild.

It’s also wild how low my standards are for what could possibly be shipping when it comes to Yugioh because of how freakin tepid all of these characters are, which as I’ve brought up before, I really don’t mind.

So Yugi decides that because Grandpa was folding his arms like one monster and it made a gem light up or something, to just do the video game thing and use the giant ass statues as clues.

Why was this arc not a video game? Like parts of it really feel like it was meant to be.

So Yugi falls down a hole, where the walls cave in like it’s that dumpster in Star Wars but like...it barely phases him.

Also...Yugi might be able to see in the dark. It’s never been brought up but like...the more I think about it...has Yugi ever struggled to see without the lights on?

After Joey disappoints everyone, he confronts death.

And Pharaoh and Yugi decide to solve the puzzle of “how do I get out of this trap dungeon room” which, honestly, is probably what they’re doing every time they hang out in the brain pyramid.

So they summon their mascot monster, and surprisingly the show decided its ability to fly cannot help them out here.

Kuriboh manages to become enough of a doormat to push Yami up to the stone and they end up in a set of weird cuts that ended in this?

Like seriously it was like flashes of light and then they were just...up here like this.

Alexander the Great, my man...

Were you planning to put that stone in the middle of a exhaust vent hoping someone would touch it? Because there’s no way anyone would rationally have done that. You would need to fly to do it. This is the world’s worst DM.

Like Yugioh pulls a lot of fantasy nonsense but this arc is a lot more like a “it’s a kid’s show, just go with it.” arc than most of them. It’s not a bad vibe, necessarily, it’s just not the vibe I’m used to.

So once I witnessed maybe the most boring conversation I’ve ever witnessed about corn (this was on a twitch stream, by the way, a guy was playing an interesting game, and then a guest came on and started talking about corn and plants for 2 hours) and they would not shut up about how all taxonomy is wrong because there are no such thing as trees and how all animals are labelled incorrectly, and then they started comparing it to like all sorts of mushrooms and phytoplankton as you would if you clearly got a little bit high before dumping your corn knowledge on a twitch stream.

Anyway, after that bizarre experience I suffered so I could learn how to play an obscure video game, I think I can safely say, that while I know everyone here thinks a bird can’t be a dog. If you’re a high biologist: a bird is absolutely a dog. Apparently you can just do that if you’re the most boring biologist alive and no one will argue with you because to do that would involve talking to you. We’ll just say a bird is a dog and no one can fight me or I will talk about the corn book that this guest on this twitch chat was thinking about renting from the library about the different types of corn mutations inherent in freakin Indiana. Therefore, Joey’s fear of birds and dogs is same.

So they use Dark Magician to save them from the statues, and Yugi busts into the pantheon again because they got to open this casket before a time limit that I kind of forgot about, tbh.

And inside the casket, is...this thing!

And you may say to yourself...it looks like it’s just floating in mid-air, that’s silly, and so I want to introduce you to the next panel where you can see that it is...quite literally...just floating in the air like a video game.

and it just slurps itself onto Yugi before he can be like “nonono.”

Wasn’t there some horror movie where you were stuck in some sort of body brace that slowly tortures you (was that Saw?) This has that vibes. Like man that looks uncomfortable to wear over a jacket and two belts and a collar that is another belt.

That and I...I gotta appreciate that Yugi popped his collar while wearing body armor and chunky necklace. What 00′s fashion appreciation right there.

Bit like...this isn’t breathable, right? Like Yugi’s gonna finally take this thing off and his jacket will just be completely soaked in sweat?

Ever since Remus and Logan had started dating the others rarely saw the two. They were always holed up in the library being sickeningly cute or in the imagination going on cute or by other standards disturbing because apparently taming ‘evil’ animals for a circus is not normal. Anyways Janus and Patton were looking for the two as it was movie night and Remus turn to choose. He already had some cheese horror movie picked out so he, Janus, and Virgil  could make fun of the characters.

Janus banged on the doors to the library and a few seconds later Logan opened one wearing one of Remus’ big hoodies because none of Remus' jackets fit Remus so naturally they wouldn’t fit his taller boyfriend. Remus followed behind in one of Logan’s jackets. Remus’ reading glasses had slid down and he looked adorable with Mortuus in his arms and Corvus on his shoulder.

“Hey guys. Is it time for movie night?” Remus asked.

“Yep. What didn’t you pick?” Janus asked.

“A random horror movie. You, Virgil, and I are going to make fun of the characters like old times,” Remus said, moving Corvus to Logan’s shoulder.

“You know Patton doesn’t like horror movies, Cephy,” Logan said.

“Oh he will the way us ex- dark sides watch them,” Remus said, setting Mortuus down and running down the hall opossum falling.

“She’s like a dog,” Logan muttered.

“Leave it. Remus raised her from a baby,” Janus said.

The three follow after and see Remus dragging his brother and Virgil down the halls. Virgil is grinning and chanting ‘Time to make fun of idiots’ in a sing-song voice and Remus joins in. Roman groans in annoyance and Patton moves to the kitchen to make popcorn. Logan and Janus sigh in annoyance.

“Five bucks says Virgil and Remus have already started on a blanket fort,” Janus said.

“I’m not taking that bet.”

Sure enough a half constructed fort using comforts, sheets, chairs from the kitchen, the recliner, and couch was being built by the duo. Both wore onesies. Virgil was in his skeleton onesie while Remus wore a Stitch onesie.

“Holy shit,” Roman said, staring.

“We’re having a Dark Sides movie night,” Remus chirped as Virgil nodded.

Both were beyond happy. They hadn’t done one of these in forever.  Mortuus was scooped up by Roman who also had Avis on his head. Avis began to scream which irritated even Roman so he was taken back to Roman’s room. While Roman took care of Avis Remus and Virgil finished the blanket fort.

“I will never understand how you two do that,” Janus said, crawling into the fort.

“Just because you forgot how to act like a kid doesn’t mean we did Janny,” Remus said.

“I did forget you ass. I just know how to act age,” Janus countered.

“I call bullshit mister, I tried to ask Patton out with fifty frogs you had Remus help you catch. I had to stop you. You are just as much a child as Re and I” Virgil said.

“In my defence they weren’t really cute frogs,” Janus said.

“Of course they were. All frogs are cute,” Virgil said.

“Hey Re why did you give Patton a hedgehog instead of a frog?” Janus asked.

“Because they make good cuddle buddies and Pattycake needs a cuddle buddy for when he can’t cuddle you,” Remus said like it was obvious.

“Huh,” Virgil said.

The other three watched the trio of childish sides.

“Hey Janny,” Remus said.

“Yeah?”

“Dare you to bring Sibium out here,” he said.

“What do I get out of bringing my darling out here?” Janus asked.

“Ummmm…” Remus said.

“You can borrow any item of clothing you want from me,” Virgil butted in.

“Why are you offering?” Janus asked.

“Because I wanna see Sibium too,” Virgil said.

The three ex light sides watched the ex dark sides interact and act like a couple of children.

“Deal,” Janus said and went to crawl out, “You better have the movie set up by the time I get back.”

Remus crawled over to the TV turned it on taking the remote when Virgil offered it.

“What was that?” Roman asked joining them in the pillow fort.

“Jay needed to relax and what better way than joking around like we did back then,” Virgil said.

“Were you guys always like that?” Patton asked.

“Janus has closed off and decided that acting like he once did is bad. I don’t know why. I used to be the cuter vintage outfits, mostly dresses. I think he thinks similar to luce della stella (starlight, Italian), that you have to dress and act a certain way to be listened to and taken seriously,” Remus said.

“How do you-” Logan starts.

“He adores picking apart people's psychology; it’s why he and Emile get along so well,” Virgil said.

“Ah,” Logan said oh so eloquently.

“Sorry,” Remus said.

“Don’t apologize Remus,” Patton chirped and joined everyone.

“Did Remus psychoanalyze someone?” Janus asked to come back with Sibium.

“You and Logan to be exact,” Virgil said stretching over Romans lap.

“He said you used to wear vintage dresses. Why don’t you anymore?” Patton asked.

“I mean I do sometimes,” Janus said.

“You should wear them more,” Patton said.

“Both he and Virgil should go back to how they used to dress,” Remus said as he pushed play.

“Wait what did Virgil dress like?” Roman asked.

“He put effort into how he looked. He would do a full face of makeup, shit ton of jewelry, and full emo outfit,” Janus answered.

“Why did you stop?” Roman asked.

“You guys already picked at me for dressing how I do now multiply that by ten. I wasn’t risking it,” Virgil said.

“It looked cool,” Remus muttered.

“Oh yeah what about your old style?” Virgil asked.

“Huh?” Roman said.

“Dark Academia,” Janus said.

“Shush. I’m watching the movie,” Remus said.

“Liar you just don’t wanna talk about it. You looked cool Remus,” Janus said.

He slipped out of the lying as he relaxed more.

“Meh,” Remus said.

“You did,” Virgil said.

“How about thi,” Patton said, “Next week we go shopping in the imagination and buy you guys a whole new wardrobe of anything you want.”

Everyone agreed before Remus hushed them as he did actually want to watch the movie. The ex dark sides made fun of the characters the whole time. Patton hid in Janus' shoulder during the gory parts. Roman pretended to watch while hiding in Virgil while Logan made fun of the characters with the ex dark sides. As the movie rolled to an end and the last person was killed Remus put on Lilo and Stitch to calm down the other two. By the end of Lilo and Stitch the sides were passed out in the fort.

Weird question, but the fashion lover in me wonders how you envision Darklina's personal Modern AU styles? I definitely see Aleksander as a suit guy with a more conservative Millennial look that had a flair for the dramatic in cut. As for Alina, I look to Jessie for inspiration: I definitely see Alina having an experimental style that would have Light & Dark Academia elements. The nose & multiple ear piercings would be a must. I see Darklina both having different style tattoos.

Weird and unexpected, my favorites!

For Aleksander, yes, obviously suits in dark colors. But I also like to imagine him with simple casual black looks but still having something very fashionable on him. I like to think that he does spent many hours in front of a mirror and he takes shopping very seriously. And not many people know that about him, but he does have a huge collection of band t shirts (some very old), hoodies and jeans but only if you close to him you can see him wear them. I do also believe that he likes some accessories too. Rings, obviously, but maybe also bracelets and necklaces. And if he smokes, of course he has a black case with “A. M.” written in gold on it.

For Alina, I pretty much agree with you. A style similar to Jessie’s. I think she would experiment with different styles and she wouldn’t be scared to wear anything she likes. And if she dates Aleks, she tries to match his style (not that he wants her too) but still keeping her own personal taste. She probably hates high heels but for a night out she rocks them. And I do believe that if she wants to be sexy she easily can and she does know how to do it successfully. Like Aleksander, she loves accessories pretty damn much. And of course she has Jessie’s piercings (if not more), like I’m pretty damn sure of it.

Both of them have tattoos. Alina has little, cute ones in random places on her body, some with color and some are just simple lines. Aleksander in the other hand, if he has tattoos, it’s big ones. No color. But also not usual patterns you see on someone else. He has some in very unexpected places too. And maybe he has one or two dumb ones which are from his college years and after some weird drunk night (you can’t convince me otherwise, frat boy!Sasha did live his best years in college, living his life in edge before he became a serious businessman).
