Okay so I haven't seen Transformers One yet (just had midterms) but honestly from the bits i've seen of it - from movie clips on tiktok to some of the hilarious promo stuff they have Bee do - i'm ABSOLUTELY in love with it. some of my favorite stuff i've seen are the little, more niche details i don't see enough of that really show how much care has actually been put into the movie. don't worry, no spoilers for the actual movie - mostly about official promo clips and such.

for example, i saw a bit of an interview where it's said the animation team all grew up with transformers, and were even fighting to animate their favs. there was also another interview i saw where someone - i believe a story boarder/director - seemed genuinely pretty sad that they couldn't do the Megatron gladiator and Orion Pax archivist backstories because it would make the movie too long. like, there is just so much genuine love for the franchise that makes the movie so good and so interesting its crazy like ahduaogeuaisahe

first off, he's such a silly guy and so adhd coded

but honestly, as a human, be just a bit careful around him, seeing as he accidentally knife-handed quite a few people, and some on purpose

he'd either be as clumsy as he is with his friends that he built, or would literally be too scared to get within touching distance of a human

if you want to get closer to him, honestly just listen to him - with some small input here and there to show you're listening - and he'd want to hang around you a lot more

really, just be nice, don't baby him, and let him yap as much as he wants - bonus points if you sometimes yap to him as well, i'm sure he'd be a great listening, with a lot of input from him, of course

Elita One

honestly, i wish i knew or could tell more about her, but any clips or trailers i've seen her in are pretty limited glimpses into her character

the trait i see the most from these glimpses however, is how she's ambitious and diligent

she'd probably respect you a great deal if you're as ambitious and diligent as she is, and would probably be a bit proud if you compliment her work ethic as well

i think she'd like someone who matches her, aiming for higher goals with the work and strength to prove it - especially since you're a human

bonus points if you can kick ass as well

similar case to Elita, except i think i have a bit more to go off of, considering how much he shows up in promo trailers and stuff

honestly, kinda hard for me to say?

again, i think he'd appreciate someone similar to him, considering how much time he spends with orion, it'd be a nice change of pace

someone who won't take bs, maybe a teeny bit of malicious compliance, and someone who doesn't try to hide their opinions

considering how mush shit miners seem to take from those who can transform, seeing someone else - especially some smaller, squisher being - being proactive and not taking shit, he'd probably be interested

Orion Pax

ok so only doing orion pax and not optimus prime because in total i've only seen like 3 clips of him as optimus soooo yea

i could see him with a jokester kind of person, but also with a more calm caretaker kind of person as well

being a jokester with him would be fun, and he'd probably have no problem with carrying you around to places for plans

being a calm caretaker would possibly be a little more stressful, but still fun with him nonetheless

either way, he'd still be somewhat careful, keeping in mind that he is much larger and sturdier than humans are

just don't play dead on him please, he'd genuinely freak out and run you over to D-16 and ask him what's wrong (D-16 probably won't find it nearly as funny lol)

Ableism

Typing quirks are a way of personal expression but why do so much of you hate to add plain text. I can understand to extent because plain text hates my head because of how long it can be but I'm not gonna act like a little bitch about it. I'm gonna add my typing quirk or even fonts itself to it.

I'm gonna ask someone to help me, or to do it for me. Stopping making excuses for ableism. Alongside with the typing quirks, your psds are ugly and eyestrainy. Psds also fall under racism because I have no idea why you guys are ignoring the fact some make dark skin characters lighter but in the case of ableism most of them are really bright and makes it hard to see.

Orange and brown? Green and yellow? Blue and brown? Why are you putting colours that can be so much eyesore together? And won't even tag as eyestrain and when someone does ask you only do it for one post.

Romanticization

This one is weird as fuck and I see no one mentioning it. Editblr highkey has a ddlg problem, this "little girl" aesthetic you guys have going on borderlines ddlg alot and its icky. The baby talk typing quirk is disgusting, stop it.

I'm not one to judge how someone copes with their trauma but what I DO judge is how you act when majority says its uncomfortable. Now this section I'm a bit unsure how to phrase it, gotta love dyslexia, but that isn't going to stop me.

There's alot of very uncomfortable romanticization of stalking which I've seen so much of alongside abusive relationships and the justification of these things.

Racism

Really can't escape this one unfortunately. Many of you are like kpop idols, you're too dyslexic towards the difference between appropriation and appreciation. Incase you forgot let me remind you.

You can not gift japanese names. Gifting names is a native practice therefore you can only gift native names. Also I've noticed you weirdos befriending people just to use their cultural names. I can't even say it east asian fetishization because its only Japanese.

Also for the love of God can you guys stop saying nonmem and non women especially when referring to sexualities. It's not hard to simply say "queer attraction to women" and "queer attraction to men".

Coming back to the "gifting" names thing, I think it's interesting how all of you conveniently have a Japanese friend who "gifted" you the name of a cute pink anime girl. Maybe I'll do a post later on how much of a bad liar you guys are.

Closed symbols is also another big problem you all have. No matter how much times you're told you can't use something you always cry "but my friend from xyz culture said it was ok!" Goddess Personas

Yea this one is getting a whole section of its own. Like any people I am uncomfortable with goddess personas, especially being someone with biblical sources. Now the idea that a teenager on the internet is making people call them a goddess is strange isn't it?

In my opinion, they're all annoying, copy and paste, and I think not a lot of people talk about how the really bad ones get. You all love to indulge them, make them think they have power over them. You put them on a pedestal and praise them and get surprised when it all goes to their head?

Stop giving 14 years old power, stop indulging in their habits and letting it go their head. Forcing people to refer to you as their goddess? Their Lord and saviour? Their idol? Someone they must listen to? It creates a power inbalance which always leads to the weirdest of manipulation. Also all the engagekiss copiers are so obvious why would you want to copy the identity of a groomer? It says alot of about yourself if that's what you think is ideal.

Callout Posts

Now, personally, I believe that the only reason a callout post happens is because someone was affected, does it not? Very rarely would a callout post would be a fake one, especially if someone has more then one. If you defend someone who has more than one call out post that's on you and you're gonna end up making one some day I can genuine you that. People don't make them for no reason.

Just angst and sad weather. Hope its good for my first BSD fic.

A soft breeze filled with springs essence flowed gently into the quaint office placed atop the red bricked building. It wasn’t much to look at, not really, other than its red exterior taking the eyes attention for a split second, there wasn’t much else to it.

Unless one was aware of its top floored residence. Quite the loud bunch many would complain. Always someone shouting and screaming about tardiness, unsettling comments about severing limbs, and often other occupants would notice a trail of emptied snack bags leading to the office. Simply a place to stay away from.

Now that was what you called home. 

The hums of the crowded streets played out in a symphony in front of you, just another side walk to cross and you were home. Home .. If the word stayed on your tongue for too long it might lose it meaning, or worse, become sour in taste. 

That top floor, was home. It had only been maybe 8 months since you began working there as an assistant. The Armed Detective Agency, the name really says all there was to it. The work wasnt too difficult, after all, you were a hardworker and you’ve been working your whole life one way or another. The president had made some adjustiments to your workload considering you were still a high school student. Of course you adamantly expressed your capabilities, but underneath it all, you were relieved. 

The breeze grazed your face and ruffled your hair, adding more knots into it after you had done so much to ensure it looked perfect, like nothing had happened. You sighed with a hint of ire plaguing not just your voice but your eyes. Perhaps holding your tongue could have granted you another hour or two of sleep. Alas, thinking of such what if’s was something you slowly learned to block out. It was pointless to fantisize of what could be anyhow.

You continued to fix your hair as you walked up the stairs, soon reaching the gates to your heaven with the oh so familiar sign positioned at the door. You hesitated briefly even as the sign urged you to come in just as the Earth welcomed rain. Thoughts began to overwhelm you. Mornings were never easy. You weren’t a sunflower waiting to greet the sun as the sun showers you with blessings and you return its gift with a smile. It was always terrifying. He was terrifying.

No matter what you did, no matter how hard you tried, you would never be enough to satisfy his will. At times, that thought alone shot bolts of desperation throughout your body, like an injured animal finding some way to stop the bleeding. What were you so desperate for? Home. It’s right in front of you, so why can’t you accept it now?

‘I didn’t get enough time to cover some of the bruises, what if they-’

“Ah you made it L/N-chan!” 

You shot up slightly at the new sound that entered your bubble. Your gaze turned towards the young boy’s voice, noticing his ragged hair. ‘Always quite slanted, not a single strand the same,’ you mused. “Atsushi you startled me aha..” Although the chuckle may have been a bit strained, you were happy to know your voice wasn’t void of that hint of delight to see him. 

“A-ah! Sorry! I guess I’ve been sneaking up on a lot of people lately. The other day it was Lucy, I made her drop her dish in the cafe- I really did apologize but she was very close to throwing me from a bridge aha-” Atsushi had a tendency of causing trouble from simple, and often innocent, actions. It was always amusing to hear about from him, they’ve never failed to crack you out of your reclusive state. 

Atsushi’s eyes wandered briefly to a mismatched coloured blotch on your arm, one you tried to conceal under your sleeves. When you took notice of his gaze, you quickly shifted that arm out of view; watching his shy and gentle eyes become disturbed with remorse. That unconcealable wrapping on your leg wasn’t any better to look at you figured, and you were sorry he had to see it. It was only for a moment though. He seemed more at ease once you smiled back at him. 

“If she did push you, I’d call Kyoka-chan.” You continued back at where the conversation left off at. At that Atsushi shaked his hands, trying to prevent the fictional scenario. “N-No! Kyoka might end up doing more than dragging me out of the water-” You both laughed at the scenario at the underlying understanding of Kyoka’s protectivness of Atsushi’s well being.

As you both walked into the office together, a scent of candies and coffee lingered in the air and the bustling office welcomed your arrival. Your eyes lingered on Atsushi as he made his way over to his desk to get started on what you could only assume to be another stack of Dazai’s unfinished paperwork. ‘I should go and get him some coffee, he might need it to finish all that.’ Looking at that stack was alone to make you wince and move towards your own desk. 

You usually make your rounds to greet everyone, but today was a difficult day and you were more tired than usual. So you figured finishing your work early would be the best way to go about things. As you began, the usual shenanigans continued to buzz around the agency. Naomi chasing Tanizaki begging him to bother himself with her rather than his work, the murmurs of the president and his secretary disgusing financial documents in his office, Ranpo-san’s loud crunches as he muched on what could’ve been his 15th chip bag of the day, and to top it off, Kunikida’s excessive yelling. You may be a hardworker but in this case, you couldn’t hold a handle to Kunikida’s work ethic. He kept everyone on task, or so he tried. 

While he was on his daily rant about Dazai’s tardiness to anyone who would listen, you felt a dreadful turmoil brewing in your head.

That buzzing in your head was a little more than unsettling. And just as your hand went to go reach your head, there it was again, that word. 

“Home.”

Why was it coming to the forefront of your mind? Why couldn’t that thought be subdued? Why were you so unlucky that the only word that haunted you was the one you cherished just as much?

He. Your father. Just a shadow of what he could’ve- no, should’ve been. A shadow who gained sentience and refuses to let you breathe. 

Your ‘home’ was hell personified. Every move you took would inevitably burn your feet. So you took no steps at all. Yet even then the fire raged on and clung to you. 

And right now, that fire was engulfing your head. 

You could faintly see Dr.Yosano in the distance, making her way to you. You couldn’t quite make out her expression when you dropped to floor and the fire took your eyesight.

Sometimes sleep was the only solace you could get, so you tried to cherish it whenever you could. This time, there was something different about the black void of unconsciousness. A dull pain.

It lingered and poked you in the void. Slowly voices became more clear, and feeling returned to your hands. Still, those wonderful eyes of yours refused to leave the dark. 

A part of you couldn’t deny that you liked it that way, but that poking sensation wouldn’t let you dream. 

You never had time for it.

So your eyes opened, breaking through the fire, and into the blinding lights of the ceiling panels.

“You’re awake-!” There a pair of wide yellowish-purple eyes looked back at you, secured with a load of concern.

It was Atsushi, worried about you as always. You wished he’d worry about himself more. 

It didn’t quite hit you that you were on Dr. Yosano’s lap or the fact there were tears in your eyes, slowly streaming down your eyes. Not until Kyouka, who sat next to Atsushi wiped them gently. 

What happened to you? 

Your body must’ve been more aware than your mind as it expressed it’s emotions more freely than how your mouth could vocalize them. Slowly you sat up and noticed exactly what had caused you to lose consciousness.

“What happened… y/n?”

Blood loss.

Dr. Yosano looked at the open wounds on your legs, carefully unwrapping the loosely tied bandages around them. She was inspecting the wound just as she was inspecting your face. 

They all were looking at you. Kunikida with a glass of water held firmly in his hand. Kyouka who stayed quietly by Atsushi, looking at your wounds. Yosano who looked slightly unnerved at the blood yet continued to press on; cleaning the wound. Atsushi who looked at you as though he knew and didn’t at the same time. But he wanted to know, oh how he wanted you to tell him. 

And suddenly, it was hard. 

You were young. You couldn’t hold it back anymore.

The tears poured out and so did the words you held in for so long. You tried to hold it all in, but everyone has their limits. Atsushi held you closely as you cried into his arms. Kyouka followed and joined the hug. 

She understood. 

You may be older than her but she knew your pain just as well. 

Yosano worked on your legs with utmost care and gentleness. She knew better than to ask to heal using her unorthodox methods. She’d rather not do that, even if it took away all the physical pain, it wouldn’t do anything for your mental anguish. So she helped in the ways she could. 

Kunikida offered you that glass of water as you talked and cried. He stepped back for a moment, eyes still intently on you as you spoke with your shaky voice and teary eyes. Until he caught the sight of someone hidden in the corner of the agency.

Dazai.

His expression was unreadable as always yet there was a sense of conflict stiring in those lax eyes of his that Kunikida rarely saw. Just as Kunikida noticed him standing there in obscurity, he left through the agency’s doors. Kunikida knew to follow him in case Dazai had finally built a sense of justice and planned to do something rash.

When the tears stopped, you sat there with your ragged yet quiet, breathing. Atsushi never once left your side. Kyouka still sat by you, unmoving. Kenji had returned a little while ago and brought you over some tissues and began reciting stories of his farm life adventures. 

Ranpo finally appeared again. His whereabouts were always where his interests lied…. Or where the snacks were. Thus, it wouldn’t surprise you if he had been there the whole time, just hidden away. 

With a lollipop still in his mouth, he looked down at you. You couldn’t read his eyes, you barely ever saw them when you think about it. Kenji, continued to talk while your attention shifted to Ranpo. He brought his arm forward, in his hand, a single lollipop. He motioned you to take it. 

When it was in your hands, he was already gone back to whatever he was doing, yet you stared at it as though it were gold. 

Home…. A place that’s warm.. A place you feel loved..

You were home. You were safe.

And so you smiled, it would be okay.

Weeks had passed since then, your father was arrested on accounts of child abuse and neglect and you were free from his torment. That moment when Kunikida had left that day, he must’ve gone to seek out your father you supposed. Regardless, you were thankful to not just him, but the entire agency. 

You were free, and you would be okay.

That ‘home’ meant nothing to you, so with Fukuzawa-san’s permission, you were allowed to move into the agency dorms. Again, nothing you could do would expression your gratefulness towards him.

Although old habits and traumas never die, you were healing. You had people who loved you and cared for you. People who would laugh with you as Kunikida and Dazai fought. People who would eat with you when you couldn’t sleep. And people who watched over you, even if silently.

You weren't alone, and most importantly, you were happy.

Ok so like I pulled up right and I knew it was gon be GOOD, but IT WAS GOODER THAT GOOD???? After I watched rise I was like mkmk yea there’s NO WAY they can make them more teenager-y But they Did.

My friend my love told me that they told the VA to change the script if they wanted to and if they thought it was more relevant and honestly? BEST DECISION EVER

U can feel however u want abt the movie but I will Fight You about the relevancy of it so bad, like something that media tends to focus on capturing is the Present, the feeling of the very moment “insert thing” happens, and the relevancy of certain situations in certain times. It’s the very reason why nostalgia hits so hard, because it is capturing the feeling of being right there in that moment, and so effortlessly

That’s what I felt watching the movie, THEY LITERALLT SAID RIZZ AND SUS, and I never in my LIFE thought I’d hear that in an ACTUAL OFFICIAL MOVIE, I just KNOW history scholars are gonna psycho analyze every reference they make

ALSO I ADORE SPLINTER SO SO SO MUCHANJAJASJKEKNX, I love seeing just-became-a-father splinter it’s AKJSNDNX. I really really love the angle they took with him, and him seeing himself reflected in superfly and how being so strict hurts his kids because it doesn’t let them explore options or themselves fully, even if he really does think he’s right

AND OH GOD near the end when superfly had the turtles and was abt to like snap them and I saw the broken shells I, no kidding, screamed. THE AMOUNT OF ANGST IVE CONSUMED THAT HAS HAD BROKEN SHELLS AS ONE OF ITS MAIN PLOTS AOQJJWNSNX, it was WILDDD having it canon ngl

Overall all the characters, like every single one, felt so fleshed out and real, it was genuinely so refreshing. I love how media now focuses on capturing raw human states instead of the heavily filtered beauty standard that our societies have for so long clung to. April had SUCH GOOD STYLE and I loved her :) because the plot was so heavy I almost expected a lot of the characters to not have an arc at all, so I was real surprised when splinter and April realized what they did was hurting ppl. Mikey was so so sweet, I love whenever he’s both a goofy goober but also one of the most empathetic ones, the hope and kindness in his eyes <33

DONNIE WAS SO RADDDD, the VA did SUCH a good job, he has my fav voice and overall he was so cool in character too, freaking out abt the attack on titan doodle was so me and I love seeing a representation of what non-toxic fandom looks like that wasn’t seen as a problem or as meant to be looked down on, bro just loves k-pop and anime!!!

Leo was AMAZINFGGGT, they kept his leader persona and his want to take responsibility and decency without making him an ass !!! And for someone who grew up with 2012 Leo that’s something I was REALLY at awe at

It’s also the first turtle x human ship i don’t hate, they didn’t make Leo be CREEPY ASF LIKE W 2012 DONNIE, but he was still a hormonal teenager having a real crush and they were still friends

Superfly character was so rad too, the way he spoke and carried himself was really interesting to look at and I thought it was so cool, I love villains that have actual stories, AND BABY HIM WAS SO CUTEEEEE, wish we got more sibling content on him and his crew tho, but that’s very me nitpicking

I love when tmnt doesn’t do orientalism :))) it’s very hard to avoid in iterations cause of the very foundation of tmnt, but I take it as a major W whenever we get a decent story(USUALLY AMAZING STORIES) that doesn’t rely on “oooohhhh mystery ninja stuff ooooooo” to make a compelling “aesthetic”

I also loved how Baxter stockman looked, and the turtle tots, the animation was OUT OF THIS WORLDDD, I rlly love how, as artists, we accept more diverse styles rather than just sticking to realism being the standard, because it allows for stuff like this to happen!!! And the scribbles added so much to the world ownqnnsndndjxjx I’ll rewatch it over and over again just for the art style

And also when Leo call himself leon IT MADE ME SO HAPPY BC LIKE LEO IN RISE LIKES LEON TOO IT FELT LIKE A WINK WINK SKSNSNWNMSND not sure if it was tho but it was me giggling and kicking my feet

The plot itself was so good too in the way that it applies to more than mutants, the seeking of acceptance is something really really relatable in so many contexts: neurodivergence, queerness, immigration, and so so so much more????? It’s one of my fav things of most tmnt iterations, its themes carry on to other contexts, not just to the specific story being told. This is what leads it to being so attractive to so many audiences

The music was very atsv and I thought it was so rad, it’s always nice to watch a movie that has that kinda soundtrack, especially in urban settings it’s a lot more fitting than an orchestra (sometimes, or at least I think)

By the time me movie was over with the BADASS SHREDDER APPEARANCE I lost control of my body and was just happy stimming violently and my friends just kinda 🧍‍♂️ at me, and they got the same rant u just read but even more messy, if that’s possible

I’m proud to have mutant mayhem as an official tmnt iteration, and I’m proud of the work that’s been done, and I hope to in the future maybe somehow contribute to a version too!!

Okay so like DC and Marvel, Donald Duck series has both animation and comic book serialization, and they tend have... very different directions.

TV series of Donald has like the classic cartoons and also Quack Pack and Ducktales stuff. I (unfortunately) don't grow up with those because my family didnt have any cables tv until like 2010ish? way passed when those on air on Disney channel so I don't know much about them

I DO HOWEVER, grow up with the comic serialization of Donald! Did you know they have like different magazine series and pocket comic book series?

I grew up with translated magazine comics and pocket comic books both sold locally. The magazine is just called Donal Bebek (Donald Duck) and the pocket comic book one is called Poket Paman Gober (Uncle Scrooge.. Pocket?)

I (think) the magazine series are more American-oriented? American publisher? Because they usually carries name like Don Rosa and Carl Barks (the famous ones I can remember on top of my head bc im bad at looking up artists name im so sorry)

The comic book series (i think) are more European-oriented. An Italian publisher got the rights to publish Disney comics so they also do Donald Duck and he became very famous there.

I think you've seen some of those post of "What do you mean Mickey Mouse is a detective and have cool adventures in Italian comics?" Because he does and those Italians comic also have a lot of fun Donald adventures too

The Double Duck series is about Donald was a secret agent who got his memories of it wiped after he finished his last mission, but he got roped in into it again so now he gotta relearn how to do spy stuff. The fun part is he was LEGIT a good spy (somehow!) Not the whole "oopsies i stumble n somehow finished the mission and everyone praised me??" Would one have a very difficult time with pets (or more likely a stray that decided he was there person and adopted him) because of how Draxum raised him? Like would he try very hard not to be attached to a living thing like that because he feared he’d be forced to hurting it later? Would it break his heart or make him feel like a monster to have some stray kitty or dog like love and embrace him when he knows he was forced to hurt animals by Draxum before? Idk if you feel like talking about it I’m very interested in like learning more about how his training would affect things like that in the future

“We accept the love we think we deserve” is a quote that comes to mind for one like he’s so confident and has such an ego but I think if he had to really acknowledge what he’s done to be who he is it might be harder for him to accept love from anything that offers it to him unconditionally where that be a stray cat/dog or Hamatos or maybe two (although their relationship is such a land mind right now I don’t think unconditional love is the right word like they do love each other but there’s so much damage and hurt there that I’d phrase it more as resilient love like it’s surviving despite the hardships but it also had to adapt and harden in order to survive) I think usagi would be more of an exception only because one can accept the love because he knows usagi is like him they’ve both gone through shit and come out what they are whether that’s good or bad?

That’s such a great quote and I agree, it fits One pretty well. It is difficult for him to come to terms with what he did, but the Hamatos help him through that (whether or not he wants it)

It is hard for One to accept being loved after all he’s been through and everything he’s done, but yea the difference with Usagi is that they’re kind of on the same pedestal. One knows that Usagi can do just as much damage as him and that Usagi would be a lot harder to knock down. Also, he doesn’t know that he and Usagi have feelings for each other, he just knows that they both care for and look out for each other.

Whereas, with Two, One has hurt him many times, and the Hamatos’ affection is very clear to him so all he wants to do is push them away.

What are you so worried about?

My first thought, when someone asks that, is “how much time do you have?”

Because I’ve got a list. Stuff I’m worried about. Stuff I should be worried about. Stuff I forgot to be worried about - that’s going surprise me later when I remember it.

There may be different things on it, but every one of us has a list like that. We’ve got a lot to be worried about.

That’s where you and I are at, when we hear today’s Psalm,

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.”

It’s a breath of fresh air – compared to everything that you and I are worried about. One that sounds great, if you’re a sheep.

I grew up grain farming with my dad. We didn’t have livestock. So, I didn’t know much about sheep.

We had some cousins who raised sheep a few miles up the road. I’d always see the sheep standing out there in the pasture when we drove past.

Watching how they moved in one big bunch, seeing how the sheep followed my cousins around, they never struck me as being very bright animals.

But seeing sheep from a car window for a few seconds as you drive past? That doesn’t give you the whole picture.

I found this out the first time I actually worked with sheep.

It turns out that what Jesus is saying in the Gospel about who sheep will follow is right.

Sheep won’t follow just anybody. In fact, they won’t follow anybody – until they get to know you.

If you go out in the pasture and start calling sheep that don’t know you, they’ll just look at you.

They don’t waste their time with people they don’t know.

Sheep are very peaceful animals.

If you get upset and start yelling at them, they’ll just walk away.  

They don’t waste their time with people who are upset and agitated.

As it turns out, sheep do what they do, because they know what they want.

And what they want is to be at peace.

And they do what they do - to get that. Because peace doesn’t happen by accident.

You and I can’t wait to have peace when our list of things to worry about runs out. Because every day, something else adds itself to the list. Truth be told, we’ll never get to the end of that list.    

That’s why if you and I want peace, we can’t wait for it to happen. Because peace doesn’t happen by accident.

We need peace right in the middle of it all. We need peace, even though we’ve still got a list.

So, what do sheep have to do with that?

For animals that want to be at peace, sheep are sitting ducks for pretty much anything that wants to get them.

They can’t run fast. They don’t kick very well. They don’t have claws or sharp teeth.

Sheep are basically defenseless. Sheep know this. That’s why they rely on the shepherd to take care of them.

And the shepherd does. The shepherd makes their peace possible.

When a storm’s coming in, the sheep will follow the shepherd to shelter.

When they hear wolves or coyotes, the sheep know the shepherd will fight their battles.

That is what the sheep do. What the sheep don’t do - is worry. No sheep has ever worried and “what-iffed” themselves into a sleepless night.

Because they know that as long as they’re with the shepherd, everything will be fine.

That’s what the 23rd Psalm is telling us – “yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.”

That’s what Jesus is telling us in today’s Gospel. Making it clear that there is no limit to what the Good Shepherd will do to protect His sheep.

If you and I want peace, we need to be like sheep.

As much as we may not like to admit it, there’s not much that you and I can do to stop most of what wants to be on our list of things to worry about.

And even when we can stop some of those things, you and I can’t stop everything. As hard as we try, there will always be something that finds its way onto that list.

Which is why you and I need to be like sheep.

Don’t waste your time thinking about your list of things to worry about.

Instead, think about the Good Shepherd who is watching over you. And stay in peace.

The God who has always loved you, from before you were born, is guiding you and protecting you. Even now.

That doesn’t mean that life will become magically trouble-free and nothing bad will ever happen, if you don’t focus on all the reasons to worry.

We all know from experience that sometimes the only way out is through.

But instead of looking at everything that’s on the list, instead of focusing on the reasons to worry in life, look to God.

The Good Shepherd who makes our peace possible.

When the storms come in, be like sheep.

When you hear wolves and coyotes, be like sheep.

As long as you’re with the Shepherd, everything will be fine.

This is the lesson from the sheep.

Stay in peace. Trust the Good Shepherd. Be like sheep.

So ANYWAY back to my adhd post, I'm still curious so researching for a thing or two (or three, gosh i don't like having to wait that much lol) and a thing that seems like the One I have to see is the "Seeks Novelty" part... like, I don't think I'm the kind to seek novelty. I'm actually very happy when things stay the same tbh. When they change too much it annoys me (cue me mad at changing schools every year for a while when I was little; mad at my parents being divorced; mad at having to change homes etc etc) but at the same time.... I kind of Am the kind to get bored quickly. When we were kids, my brother used to complain how he would introduce me to a random game and I'd like it and play with him for a week and then... "hey I'm actually getting kind of Bored now with this game let's play smth else"...

Some things I know about me for sure that MAY or may NOT fit into the Seeks Novelty criteria are also uhh

I get bored at songs pretty fast but idk how common is that soo

I switch Mediums a lot too? Like, sometimes I'll be just reading Manga and manga and manga 4ever and then I'm like "man i could do with a book" and then its just Books and then it's Anime and then Shows and then Online Fics and... anyways its a cycle. These days I'm very much on an Anime mood and don't wanna seek out any manga or other shows or cartoons... but I also don't know how common that is

Other criteria I think I don't fit are: hyperactivity, daydreaming (like yea i zone out sometimes but not to Daydreaming Land—like i do if i try really hard—, just thoughts), sensory sensitivity (although there is hyposensitivity autism, so i suppose theres hyposensitivity adhd as well??? OR its just normal sensitivity which is what im thinking) And besides That I know my memory is kind of bad, but I was assuming that was because of all the pandemic thing and brain locking memories and all that so I'm not trusting that one.

Idk if this is all neurotypical stuff but at last I think so? I mean tbh now I'm not sure.

My hcs on side-interests the ninja have. There will be little to no reasoning for most of these except I got the feeling (I'm not even going to attempt further explanation) Enjoy 👍

Kai: I've always thought that weapons (especially swords) and blacksmithing are def a huge special interest for him but I also feel like he would be into spiders and scorpions. If anybody else on the team started freaking out about a spider in the house (or the occasional scorpion on a mission) that he knows is harmless, he would definitely pick it up and chase them around with it (Jay is his most frequent victim). He's also into mixology. You know why.

Jay: Not gonna lie, had a hard time thinking about one for him, then I remembered he said he was into model building in the pilots and we never heard or saw of it again so yea, he gets to build little models. Considering how stressed out he gets in tough situations, I think he would really enjoy feeling like he's in total control of every little detail, and its probably good for blueprinting/practicing for new inventions.

Cole: This one kinda relates to his canon art interest but I feel like he would be really into old school cartoons. I'm talking black and white stuff. He would probably really enjoy that style and how outlandish some of those old characters could get in an age where there were a lot less boundaries. He would never try animating for himself but if he sees something he likes, he'll sit there and analyze one clip frame by frame until he understands.

Zane: BIRDS (I feel like these are just getting more and more canon compliant but whatever) You cannot tell me bro isn't an avid birdwatcher. Why else would Dr. Julien specifically choose a bird design when the aim was to make a friend for Zane? Bro could name all the native bird species for any region of Ninjago without needing to look it up. The birds like him back, too. Dude looks like a whole Disney princess everytime he relaxes outside cause all the nearby birds just flock to him and rest on his shoulders.

Nya: Much like Cole, Nya's into the classics, except she's strictly into movies, and not so classic that they're black and white. Annie, Braveheart, Alien, Predator, Crocodile Dundee, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Rocky, etc. if it came out before the year 2000, she's seen it and enjoyed it (she cried during Braveheart because we're actually really similar and I cried during Braveheart so now she does too). Despite how offensive some of that older stuff can be, she's never started a movie (or even sometimes a series of movies) that she couldn't finish.

Lloyd: Whatever the Ninjago equivalent of Pokémon is. You saw how much of a nerd he was, especially when he was still little, and especially about Starfarer. You're telling me he wouldn't freak out about something that has a show and a card game!? Even after he's been aged-up for a while, he still has and adds to his card collection and he still holds it VERY near and dear to his heart. After seeing how well the Starfarer thing worked, he has been slowly recruiting Jay so he can finally play against someone and get some use out of his collection, and its working.

This is actually a terrifying image. Imagine seeing a tall animatronic in a circle of salt, smiling and staring at you in the middle of a bloody room filled with dead broken bodies. Absolutely terrifying.

The presence of a powerful being akin to their own is tearing at the edges of their mind, taunting them. It could reach you, first.

I’m sorry to break it to ya buddy.. you’re a little too late…

The urge runs along the thin endoskeleton of their vessel, simmering and sharp. It would be swift. Her heart would taste of wicked sweetness.

They made a vow.

This is your friend.

Can I just say, they’re terrifying. They’re so strong and powerful and if they had not made that vow so many people would still be on their menu. The fact that they’re still thinking about it is very scary. But them not acting at all upon those urges and keeping them inside shows how much they care and are willing to change.

I praise their animalistic behaviors a lot but it is one of my favorite parts about them. It’s shined through throughout the whole story but now when the secret is out they’ve turned completely animal. An urge running through, simmering and sharp, makes me think of a predatory animal opening its eyes wide and raising its fur, ready to strike. They’re a monster at their core, but a monster that is willing to change for the better.

“We need to speak to them.” Moon tilts his head. The end of his nightcap spills over his shoulder. Her eyes slide to the patches, her dry, bleeding lips parting in silent surprise. “Where are they?”

The mentioning of the patches nearly made me cry..

A slice of starlight catches on something tucked away in the dirt. Peering down, Moon slowly crouches. He extends the vessel’s fingers until they grasp your black hair clip, stained in a purple fluid.

I love this little trinket so much! It’s tiny but it carries so much meaning, so for them to just find it on the discarded ground like that with purple goo on it is heartbreaking!

"Why do you call them that? Heart . That’s morbid.”

I never really thought about it, but yea it is pretty morbid actually… without context it can sound really, leeeeeally bad coming from a demon, even worse so from a literal heart eater.

After an attempted exorcism, he’ll seek to restore his strength.

Just Sun holding the backpack in which there are weapons and tools specialized to kill beings just like him is such a powerful visual to me!

The encounter with Y/N is so insane!! The silence is just as loud as Sun’s demands for Glitchtrap to let go of the kid. And that poor kid! :’0

Ok so the double possession is soooo beautifully written. It’s hard to find words to describe it, I’m stunned. The very beginning of it alone is GORGEOUS!!

A howl nearly ruptures your eardrums before he cuts down across Eclipse’s face, raking over one crimson eye that becomes dark and goo-dripping. Falling back, Glichtrap leaps quickly, his movement swift and precise. Eclipse is less graceful, balancing on a horribly bent knee.

They’re so broken already and then he takes one of their beautiful eyes!!! And again with the knee! Why the knees!!! AAAAA!! :’0

They lift their heavy head, staggering upright. One crimson eye searches wildly and finds you. The dread laid over their mouth injects cold water into your veins. The wound in their stomach splits, reaching to their side where the crushing force was dealt. Your eyes widen at their slowed reflex.

Live Meep reaction: I’m just screaming and crying. Just screaming and crying on the floor.

Panic bursts in your heart. Lifting his hand from your neck, claws flex before sinking into your chest, tearing through your flesh as if it were little more than wet clay. Pain ribbons through your body. You scream. The merciless claws dig deeper, nearly cutting to the bone of your sternum. The attack is careful, and deliberate, just enough to leave you alive.

Light only told Mikami about his meeting with Sachiko for the last time before they elope (www) They're not interested in talking about their family he thinks Mikami won't care about them and just move on

But Mikami will respond by randomly talking about her dead mom just trying to sympathize with Light (he's trying) but it makes everything more awkward for Light (like.. okay?) They never talk about their family again for years lol

I'll be discussing a newer oc in this post, riamu yumemi......! yea she's based on the im@s character so what... i used the character's name and used her appearance as inspo as well but that's about it. others may find unintentional similarities between the two though

i know nothing about im@s riamu it just... felt right to me to make the oc based on her ig? idk anyway here we go

so this riamu is a mad scientist girly who is absolutely Not professional enough for her job! she never follows lab safety precautions, none of her experiments are legal, she constantly causes explosions or invents a new virus on accident or creates deadly military weapons and she's an absolute liability to the corporation she works for. not that they can fire her though :) she's too valuable to them :) and bad things will happen if they fire her :)

not only that but she's also a nightmare to be around

she has very volatile and explosive mood swings and sometimes lies about shit for fun and makes people vaguely uncomfortable and she kiiinddd offf has a god complex?? but come on she's just a silly hyper girly :3 she's not really mean to people she's just .... a lot to handle and overwhelming

riamu is obsessed with presenting herself in a certain way, rn she's trying to present herself as a quirky and cutesy anime girl. she dyed her hair to stand out more and she dresses up in jfashion... even when she's at work. its obvious she forces herself to behave differently too. she forces herself to be outspoken, bubbly, charismatic, and basically just super duper different. she wants to stand out and make an impression on people's minds and god she does it so well. her behavior gets on people's nerves but lots of people end up being intrigued and drawn to her even tho they dislike her. so instead of disliking her they end up loving her too

speaking of love riamu is . absolutely desperate for love but she can't keep a relationship to save her life. instead she chases after unattainable beings that she can't even date, including:

1. the cute lady who recently gained superpowers and goes around and fights crime (i inserted this character bc i thought it would be funny to make this a universe with like stereotypical superheroes and villains and shit). riamu is very obsessed with her and claims that the superhero is in love with her too but that's... really not how it is. riamu keeps a collection of "proofs" proving the superhero reciprocates her feelings and she's really just reaching so hard man. the superhero avoids fighting riamu and battling her because any interaction or confrontation at all will just enforce riamu's beliefs that they're in love

2. an AI system created by one of her co-workers that's meant to help around the laboratory. riamu please stop trying to seduce the lab's AI and turn it evil. it cannot feel any type of attraction and it would be largely inconvenient if it attempted to commit omnicide against humans and the whole planet

3. speaking of AIs that commit omnicide riamu also has a fictional crush on AM from i have no mouth and i must scream.

that's all i have to say for now about riamu. extra fun facts about her:

- she permanently cured her own bad eyesight on her own but she still wears glasses as an accessory

- she wears an eyepatch sometimes but everyone knows damn well she doesn't need one

- some comments her co-workers have made about her: "i don't like thinking about her." "she's fun but... you really can't take her anywhere." "id say she'd be benefited by therapy but nothing can help her anymore." So Luffy does want the red dragon but Sabo strikes them a deal, red is a temperamental beast and will need to be monitored, Luffy also needs to form a bond with him before there can be any form of purchase made, no bond no sale thats how their business works

Dragons are prideful, stubborn and intelligent creatures and where they do not want to go, no one could possibly force them (except maybe Sabo but he’s a very specific case)

So Koala sets up what they call the training period, hopeful Dragon owners will come to visit their chosen Dragon in order to form an initial bond, if all goes well then it might even transform into a riders bond, its specific magic only Dragons wield

Luffy curious asks what a rider’s bond looks like and Sabo doesn’t hesitate to shrug off his jacket and unbutton his shirt to show the silvery blue sheen scaled pattern seemingly tattooed over his chest and down his ribs

Ace looks away if only for privacy, Sabo naturally doesnt mind if he does look, maybe he’s a little put out he couldn’t draw the eye of the handsome older prince

Koala smacks him on the arm and scolds him for not giving them any further warnings before stripping off the absolute heathen, Luffy oohs and aahs over the mark like “why over your chest tho?”

“Helps me feel closer to them. It can be anywhere honestly, most riders like to contain it to their arms, for easy identification, each mark is unique to the rider.”

“So it could be on your butt then.” Luffy says bluntly and Ace startles, hisses at his little brother to remember his manners when Sabo laughs, bright and airy, the noise carries in the small office and Ace can’t help but feel a little jealous at how free he sounds.

“Yes, there probably is some poor sucker out there with a rider bond mark on their butt.”

“Where’s yours?” Luffy turns to Koala who turns on her seat to the side and lifts her hair out of the way to show off a gleaming turquoise scale pattern running down the side of her neck and the back of her spine.

“How does the bonding work?” Ace still doesnt fancy Luffy being around such a volatile animal at such a formative age, in his opinion he’s too young but according to Koala and Sabo, red is roughly the same age as Luffy in human years which would help greatly in understanding one another.

“Mostly like any other animal, we supervise Luffy and red together, have Luffy shadow Sabo during dragon training, let them exist together and get used to each others presence. that sort of thing,” Koala says reassuringly

“But with extra steps.” Sabo adds on in a not so reassuring way, he still hasn’t closed his shirt, dusty white fabric frames his athletic shape prettily and Ace swallows and maintains his gaze above clavicle level.

“Define the extra steps,” Ace crosses his arms and tries to keep his voice level and not accidentally pitch it down in that apparently threatening manner he was often to do when it came to protecting Luffy.

“Dragons are crazy smart, they can see and understand a lot of things humans can’t, they’re not like other herd animals that can be broken in, you have to earn their respect.” Sabo explains glancing down at Luffy to make sure the little prince was payin attention.

To his pleasure, Luffy listens raptly, head cocked to the side with his nose crinkled up in concentration. Its clear he has his heart set on red and Sabo would do anything in his power to have them secure a bond. And only because he knows his dragons deserve good riders, he doesnt have any other ulterior royal motives standing in the room to persuade him.

“So they’re just like people and should be treated in the same way.” Ace surmises, thoughtfully, which if this was the case wouldn’t be hard at all for Luffy who had charisma in droves and already had the entire palace eating out of the palm of his hand.

“Yeah!” Sabo exclaims enthusiastically, leans over the desk separating them within the office, sharp teeth bared in a wild smile, “you got it your highness, not many catch on as quick.”

He looks like he wants to say so much more but Koala straightens up from her perch on the edge of the desk.

“Sabo,” Koala’s voice takes on a more stern tone, “now is not the time.”

“The time for what?” Luffy asks innocently and Ace watches curiously at the look Koala throws at Sabo briefly, equal parts exasperated, annoyed but mostly afraid.

He says nothing.

“Nothing, motormouth, I’ll end up sending you to sleep with all the dragon facts, little prince.” Sabo replies easily, but his mismatched eyes still hold a chilling fire within them that was most definitely ignited at Ace’s comments.

“But i wanna know” Luffy whines, endearingly but Ace shushes him nonetheless, they were guests.

“All in due time little prince.” Sabo says cheerfully, he finally starts buttoning up his shirt again, much to Ace’s relief, the dragon rider mark had been… distracting to say the least.

“I think North should be rested enough to take you out on a test flight.”

As if on cue, the sapphire scaled dragon rears his head up and pokes his muzzle in through the open office window, huffing smoke through flared nostrils.
