Bubblegum Pink
Pairing: Rhea Ripley x Girly girl!Reader
Word count: 1137
My Matherlist :)
..................................................................................
You and Rhea had always been an odd pairing, but one that worked. Her brooding, gothic style was the complete opposite of your sunny, feminine aesthetic, but it never caused any problems between the two of you. In fact, you both liked the contrast. She loved how unapologetically girly you were, while you found her dark and edgy vibe pretty hot.
But now, with the release of the new Barbie movie, your worlds were about to collide in a way you hadn’t anticipated.
It all started when you saw the trailer. You’d grown up with Barbie, and seeing your childhood icon brought to life on the big screen filled you with pure joy. Naturally, you couldn’t wait to see it. Even more so, you couldn’t wait to share the experience with Rhea.
One night over dinner, as you twirled your fork through your salad, you casually brought it up. “So, the Barbie movie comes out this weekend. Want to come with me?”
Rhea, who had been chewing on a piece of steak, glanced up at you with raised eyebrows. “Barbie?” she repeated, her tone filled with playful disbelief.
You nodded eagerly, eyes sparkling with excitement. “Yeah! It’s going to be so much fun. I was thinking we could, like, dress up a little for it? You know, something pink and Barbie-like. What do you think?”
Rhea leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms with a smirk. “Pink and Barbie-like, huh?” Her dark lipstick accentuated her teasing smile. “Babe, I don’t really do… pink. Or Barbie.”
You felt a pang of disappointment in your chest, but you didn’t let it show. You knew Rhea was right—dressing up in something so opposite of her usual style was a big ask. “I know, I know,” you laughed, trying to brush it off. “It’s okay, I was just being silly. You don’t have to. We can just go as ourselves.”
But deep down, you’d been hoping she might at least entertain the idea. Not because you wanted her to change, but because it would’ve been fun to share this experience together, dressing up and embracing the moment.
The rest of the week passed without much mention of the movie. You noticed Rhea hadn’t brought it up again, and you didn’t want to press her about it either. You told yourself it didn’t matter—after all, what was important was that she was coming with you, not what she wore. Still, a tiny part of you couldn’t shake the wish that she might try, just a little, to embrace your world the way you always embraced hers.
The day of the movie finally arrived, and you woke up early, excited to get ready. You’d been planning your outfit for days—a dreamy, pink flowy dress with cute accessories, glittery heels, and even a sparkly headband to tie it all together. As you looked at yourself in the mirror, you smiled at your reflection, feeling like you’d just stepped out of a Barbie dreamhouse.
But when you turned around to check your phone, your stomach twisted a little. Rhea hadn’t said anything yet, and you weren’t sure if she was going to dress up at all. Maybe you had been silly to even hope she would.
You tried not to let it get to you as you waited for her in the living room, adjusting your purse strap and fidgeting with your phone. When you finally heard her footsteps, you stood up, ready to go, but bracing yourself for her usual all-black attire.
As expected, Rhea came in wearing her typical style—black jeans, a black band tee, and combat boots. Her dark eyeliner and signature smirk were firmly in place. But something caught your eye, and you blinked, not sure if you were seeing things.
Pink socks.
They were subtle, barely peeking out from the tops of her boots, but they were there. Bright, unmistakable, bubblegum pink socks. You stared for a second, processing the sight, and then your heart swelled.
Rhea shifted on her feet, her smirk faltering just a little as she noticed your reaction. “Don’t say anything,” she grumbled, glancing away with a slight blush rising in her cheeks. “It’s just socks.”
You were speechless for a moment, but then a wide, beaming smile spread across your face. “Rhea…” you whispered, your voice soft with affection. “You didn’t have to do that.”
She shrugged, still trying to play it off. “I know, but I figured, you know, it’s important to you. And they’re just socks. Not like I’m wearing a pink dress or anything.”
Your chest tightened with emotion. It wasn’t about the socks—it was about the gesture. Rhea had seen how much this movie and dressing up meant to you, and while she didn’t go all out, she’d made an effort. She’d stepped out of her comfort zone for you, even if in a small way, and that meant everything.
You rushed forward and threw your arms around her, squeezing her tight. “Thank you,” you murmured against her chest, your eyes stinging with happy tears. “This means more than you know.”
Rhea wrapped her arms around you, chuckling softly as she pressed a kiss to the top of your head. “You’re lucky I love you,” she teased, though her voice was warm and tender.
You pulled back slightly, looking up at her with a playful grin. “I know I am.” You glanced down at her boots again, eyeing the pink socks with a twinkle in your eye. “And for the record, pink looks good on you.”
Rhea rolled her eyes, but there was a hint of amusement in her expression. “Don’t get used to it, alright?”
“Too late,” you teased back, leaning up to press a kiss to her cheek.
With her arm around your waist, the two of you headed out the door. As you walked hand in hand to the car, you couldn’t help but feel like this day was going to be even more special than you’d imagined. Rhea might not be covered head-to-toe in pink, but she’d met you halfway. She’d made the effort, and that was more than enough to make your heart burst with love.
As you drove to the theatre, Rhea glanced over at you, taking in how happy and radiant you looked. “Alright, so what’s this movie actually about? Are we gonna sit through two hours of Barbie just being… Barbie?”
You giggled. “Oh, you’ll see. There’s a lot more to Barbie than you think.”
Rhea smirked, giving your hand a squeeze as she rested her arm over the console. “As long as I get to see you happy, I’ll sit through whatever you want, babe.”
And just like that, with her pink socks slightly hidden under her boots, you knew you had the best girlfriend in the world by your side.

Confidence | 18+ MDNI
Pairing: Reneé Rapp x Reader
Summary: Reneé asks you to come to her first day off shooting Mean Girls to give her the confidence she needs to play Regina George. (based on this scene)
Warnings: 18+ MDNI, smut
Reneé Rapp Masterlist | Words: 1.2k
-----
Reneé usually didn’t have a problem with showing off her body, she was proud of the way she looked, and often showed the world her confident side. She wore revealing outfits all the time, and never really gave a care in the world what others thought about her appearance. However, as the first day of shooting Mean Girls came closer, she started getting more and more nervous about portraying this confident character in front of the cameras.
Of course, Reneé had played Regina before, and knew the character well, but in front of the cameras it was different. On stage she got into character and played the part in front of a lot of people, but they were all sitting at a distance, and observed not only her but also the rest of the set around her. On set the cameras and the crew would be focussed on her playing the character the way they had envisioned her, of course they did the same for the other actors there, but the scene she was most worried about was Regina’s opening scene.
It didn’t take much convincing on your girlfriend’s end to get you to join her on set for the first day of shooting. You loved supporting her in person whenever you were able to. Supporting her didn’t just mean her music and her acting, you supported her in every aspect of life, and she did the same for you, that is why your relationship worked so well.
While it was an early call, Reneé still took some time to show you around the set. You hadn’t been to the Mean Girls set yet, and were looking at everything full of amusement. When you were younger, you had watched the original, and you always loved the movie, so seeing the set of the remake made you feel very nostalgic.
You sat to the side as Reneé was getting ready in the hair and make-up trailer, talking with her costars and the hair and make-up team. It was nice getting to know the girls she’d be working with for the next couple of months.
Before you headed to the set they’d be shooting at this morning, you took Reneé to the side. “I just wanted to say that you are amazing, and you look incredible. You are going to crush this scene, and every scene after. You are the perfect Regina George, and I cannot wait to see the lines we rehearsed together come to life. I love you, baby. Have fun out there, and I will be right behind the crew supporting you.” Reneé pecked your lips, “You’re the best, but shush now or you’re going to make me cry.” You both laugh, and head into the hall the scene would be shot in.
They were shooting the scene where Cady met Regina for the first time to the song ‘Meet the Plastics’. It included a close up shot of Reneé signing the song, while the camera slowly panned out, revealing more of her. It took a few takes to get the close up right, but when the crew was happy with the results, they moved on to the part that Reneé was most nervous about. It was a shot where she would sensually open her leather jacket and show off her boobs.
The first few takes were cut, “Reneé can you give us a try with some more confidence please?” The director asked and she nodded in response. Reneé looked up to you for some reassurance, and found you clenching your thighs together. You hid it well, no one else around you would notice, but Reneé knew. That familiar look in your eyes, and the subtle movements, she knew all too well. That sight alone gave her the confidence she needed to act the scene exactly how the directors had in mind.
Once the scene was done, and Reneé had quickly said bye to her co-workers she walked up to you, “I knew having you here would do the trick. Wanna head back to my trailer?” Reneé wouldn’t be in the next couple of scenes they were shooting, so she had some free time. She knew just the way she wanted to spend that free time.
After entering the trailer door behind you, Reneé pressed you up against it. Your breath hitched at the sudden movement, but a smirk started playing on your lips once you saw the look in your girlfriend’s eyes. “I told you you looked incredible.” You tease, letting your hand drag over her chest. When your hands found the zipper, you undid it the rest of the way, and took off the jacket. Your hands moved up her arms slowly until they reached the nap of her neck. “You are so beautiful, baby.” You tell her before she crashes her lips onto yours.
The kiss was instantly heated, you were very turned on from watching the scene Reneé acted in, so every small touch of your girlfriend letting her hands explore your body sent electricity throughout your body. Her lips made their way down your neck, kissing, sucking, and licking the spots you knew were going to have small bruises later. Your soft moans filled the trailer.
Reneé pulled you towards the bed in the back of the trailer. Only breaking the kiss, once you made it to the bed, so she could take off your shirt, and your bra. “So pretty.” She said before taking one of your nipples into her mouth, and swirling her tongue around the hardened bud. With one of your hands behind her back to pull her closer, and the other massaging her breasts, you fell back onto the bed.
It didn’t take long for both of your clothes to be thrown onto the ground, and your moans filled the trailer once more, as Reneé drags her finger through your folds. “Fuck, you’re so wet baby.” Between moans you manage to say, “I told you, you looked incredible.” Reneé chuckled, “Once again proving that you are a boob girl.” Her comment made you laugh, but it got caught short as she entered one of her fingers into you, and started fucking you at a fast pace right away.
Your moans start to get so loud that you’re afraid that someone will hear you, so you pull Reneé closer and crash your lips together to muffle the noises. You felt yourself nearing your high fast, as she entered a second finger, and used her thumb to run circles around your clit. “Baby, I-” Reneé’s darkened eyes meet yours, “Fuck, I’m close.” Reneé fastens her pace even more, loving the way she can feel you tighten around her fingers. “Come for me, baby.” Her sultry voice brings you over the edge. You moan her name loudly, no longer being able to control yourself as she fucks you through your orgasm.
You let your head fall back onto the bed, while you come down from your high with a heaving chest. Reneé cleans off her fingers on the sheets, before she places soft kisses all over your face. “You did so great, baby. I should take you to set with me more often.” She says smiling down at you, admiring the way your sensitive body reacts to her soft touches.

—————
everyone on the cast just announced their spots in the series, it was your first time doing this so you were a bit nervous. you watched your phone as all the positive comments started to roll in.
you heard the door to your trailer open and saw a familiar face, walker. you would never admit this to anyone, but you did sort of have a crush on him. but you had to put the admiration to the side now that he was your co-star.
“Y/N, do you want to go grab food since we’re done shooting for the day?”, he asked you.
“sure! where are we going?”, you replied as you got up and started exiting your trailer.
“i don’t know, in-n-out?”
“yeah, sure”, you said as you walked to the car.
the whole car ride was filled with scream-singing to one direction songs, it was amazing. the light that shined through his hair made you admire him even more. how the sunshine made his eyes sparkle. the way his smile grew when you were both singing along to the music that shaped both of your childhoods. you had always dreamed of nights like this, now they became your reality. your only wish was that he would see you as more than a friend.
—————
the next day you arrived to set early and we r straight to the hair and makeup trailer, which was were walker was also. you couldn’t wait to see him.
“hey Y/N, how are you?” walker asked as you walked through the door.
“i’m good, a little tired tho, how about you?” you replied.
“i’m good!”, he said.
you two fell into easy conversation while getting makeup done, or getting your hair fixed. it was always easy with him, you always felt safe and at home while you were with walker. it was just something about him.
—————
“action!”, you heard and immediately started to act out your scene with walker. it was going to be in the finale episode, where you place your necklace around his neck. it was supposed to be a little romantic, but it shouldn’t have affected you this much.
walker’s deep blue eyes stared you down, your cheeks immediately turned a deep shade of red. it was embarrassing, everyone on set would notice your admiration toward walker.
walker started laughing, most likely from your eye contact. almost every scene you guys shot together ended up like this, you and walker would burst out laughing. almost every scene had to be reshot many many times.
you shot the scene again and again until it was perfect. your cheeks still burning many minutes after.
—————
after many long hours of shooting, walker entered into your trailer to hang out with you. it had become a nightly ritual for you guys. you would lay on your couch and scroll on tiktok, showing each other the funniest ones.
after minutes of scrolling walker tilted his phone toward you. you noticed the tiktok featured you and walker. it was an edit shipping you two. it used clips from different moments from the press tour, and red carpet events.
“i mean… it’s a good edit”, you said nervously. you secretly loved seeing tiktok’s like these.
“yeah i agree, it’s one of the better ones i’ve seen. we look pretty good together, we make a great team”, walker replied not knowing how that last sentence would effect you.
“we sure do”, you agreed as both you and walker’s cheeks turned red.
—————
the other members of the cast had noticed how close you and walker had gotten, when you weren’t together, you guys were texting, and if you weren’t texting, you were probably asleep. aryan had brought it up to you last week, he said how everyone saw how you guys looked at each other, and how you were both always blushing when you had scenes together. you didn’t believe him though.
—————
filming had come to an end and you were definitely going to miss your new best friends, especially walker. you two had agreed to call and text as much as you could till you could be back together for the press tour.
—————

Y/Nfan- Y/N X WALKER CONTENT 🎉
—————
after the cast party, you decided to go over to walker’s place before your parents came and got you.
“hey Y/N, i kind of wanted to tell you something”, walker said nervously, “ever since i first met you you’ve inspired me so much and i just wanted to say that i really like you, in more than a friend way”, he rambled out.
you thought you were dreaming, no way he just said that. you stared at him for a second before kissing him, it was just a simple peck but you hope it got your point across.
“wait, you like me too?”
“of course, of course i do” you replied, noticing how red walker’s cheeks were.
he leaned in and gave you another kiss, you couldn’t believe this was real life.
—————
after a couple of months, many interviews, many nights on facetime, many ship edits being sent to each other, many days of secretly dating. you both decided to make your relationship public.
yourusername- my mom approves

a/n i’m loving seeing your comments about this universe! it makes me so happy 🩷🐠 i saw a guy make things with old silverware on tiktok and it inspired me for something so keep reading to find what it is :o
dividers by @plutism
from the stolen kisses universe
It was the warmest morning you’ve ever felt in Hawkins. The sun sat hiding behind the trees of the trailer park, Eddie had invited you to a very special date, as he called it, and you couldn’t stop shaking from excitement. You’ve had dates with him over the week, going to the movies and hanging out around the mall. For some reason you always avoided the community pool.
“Good morning, Wayne” You see Eddie’s uncle ready to leave for work, his shifts have changed since your dad accepted them at the car shop. With Wayne as the manager, he could’ve go anytime he wanted but he loved being early.
“Morning, kiddo,” he smiles, taking the last steps out of his trailer. You get closer to him and hand him a tupperware with a sandwich and some fruit.
“We are going on a picnic, so this is for you,” you smile. His eyes light up at the sweet gesture. Knowing his nephew is in good hands, and hoping he doesn’t get to the point where he acts like a kid and he has to kick his ass.
“Thank you, have so much fun” he says, giving you a gentle hug. You wrap your arm around him and wish him luck for the rest of the day.
“Bear hugs!” Eddie shouts, running towards you and his uncle to wrap you around his arms. “I’ve been working out at the shop, let’s see how much i can squeeze you both.”
“Son, let me out of this. I’m an old man." Wayne takes a step back, squeezing his nephew’s shoulder and earning a smile from him. “Take care of each other.”
“Yes, we will,” you say.
You and Eddie wave goodbye to Wayne as he drives his truck to the shop. With a smile on his face from how happy you two look and how delicious your sandwiches are.
“I guess you’ll have to see how much I can squeeze you!" Eddie wraps his arms around your waist, lifting you up and squeezing your body. You squeal in surprise and hug him by his neck to keep you from falling.
“Eds! Please, I can’t breathe!”
He turns around with you in his arms, You can feel the dizziness traveling from your head to your stomach, and it's enough to make you laugh. Your grip on Eddie is so strong that when he stops, you don’t fall off.
“I missed you,” he says, leaving a sweet peck on your cheeks. You blush as if it were the first time he did that. You’ve learned so much from this past week of dating him.
“You saw me yesterday, and the day before,” you smile, reciprocating your feelings. Eddie blushes with you. His cheeks are all so red. It looks so nice on him.
“I know, but I couldn't stop thinking about you. Ready for our date?”
You nod. He helps you get back on your feet on the floor and takes your hand, following you to your car. It’s easier if you drive your little car instead of the big, heavy van. Eddie doesn’t mind it, and he takes good care of driving it.
—
It’s been a long time since you’ve been driving. Eddie parks on the side of what seems to be an old camp entrance. The sign is still on, but the cabins and all the campsites are missing.
“We have to walk a lot, but it will be worth it”
He helps you get out of your car, and you take the blankets and the drinks so Eddie can carry the umbrella and the basket. You hike to what seems to be the highest spot around, the grass and the flowers adorn the secret place Eddie had been waiting for you to meet. When you turn around, you can see pretty much all of Hawkins, you see lover’s lake, the trailer park, and the ferris wheel from the fair.
“How did you find this place? It’s beautiful,” you say looking around, there’s so much green surrounding you. The flowers tickle your ankles and calves as you walk to see more. The sun shines right above you giving a sun kissed tint to your cheeks.
“Dustin told me about it. This is where they tested cerebro for the first time.” Eddie smiles, fixing the umbrella on the grass so it shields you from the sun. You fix up the blanket on the floor and the basket.
“I miss him so much, i miss them all." As you start to fix up the little picnic, You can feel your heart pounding in your chest.
“Me too, i can’t wait to have them back”
It’s great being with Eddie. He’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to you. He has been nothing but calm, honest, sweet, loving, and caring. But you also miss the kids, some of them away in California, some of them at camp.
“All ready, let’s enjoy,” Eddie says, snapping you out of your thoughts.
You do enjoy the picnic, eating all the food you made for Eddie, and getting to talk with him about nothing and everything at the same time. The sun, the sweet breeze of summer, and the warm voice of the boy you like so much. It’s everything you need to distract you from missing so many things, the kids, your girls, your hometown, and the sea.
It’s been so long since you've swam properly. The pool is quite small, lover’s lake looks so scary, and there’s no way you can’t feel cramped in your bathtub. You’ve been craving the sea less, knowing it has been so long since you’ve been fully yourself.
“What’s going on in that head of yours, sweetheart?” Eddie asks, rubbing your thigh and playing with the hem of your sundress. He couldn’t stop looking at the way it hugged your body so perfectly.
“Oh, nothing. The weather makes me miss home,” you say, looking at him. He squeezes your thigh, earning a smile from you. “But i love being here with you.”
You get closer to him, your thigh pressing against his. He closes the gap between your faces, brushing his fingers against your cheek to keep you close enough to press his lips against yours. Kissing you until you have no air, no option but to push back with a silent whimper.
You kiss his cheek and then travel down to his neck, his hands now rest on your waist to help you get on top of him.
“I love being here with you too, I know nothing can make you feel back home, but I hope this helps.”
You sit between his legs, and he reaches for the back pocket of his shorts. Then he takes out a necklace, it’s a silver chain with a matching shell charm. It takes all in you to not scream in his face, instead reach for the charm to look at it closely.
“Baby,” he whispers. “I know you have tons of jewelry, but this one is different, see?” Eddie puts his arms around you to help you put on the necklace.
“Different?” you ask, feeling his warm fingers on your back.
“A friend at the shop makes these out of old silverware. I thought something made in Hawkins with the touch of your hometown would make you build a bigger bridge between the two places.” His voice sounds so sweet, even more when you look at his shiny eyes. “A couple of years back a neighbor left his trailer and a box of silverware behind. Since that day Wayne and I have been using it for special occasions”
You feel the charm on your chest and graze it with your fingers. You look at Eddie with glassy eyes, his words make so much sense.
“I love it, baby.” You peck his lips, and he smiles back at you. “You are right, I'm holding on to this in case I need to be reminded of the two places that bring me so much joy. Thank you”
He nods, rubbing your cheek with his knuckles as he sees a tear rolling down your face.
“Sweetheart” he says, kissing the point of your nose, earning a giggle from you. “You don’t have to thank me. I’d do anything for you.”
“You are the best boyfriend ever.” Your hands press against his cheeks, kissing every inch of his face and making sure your red lipstick leaves marks on his skin. He smiles, so fondly of you and your touch.
“Boyfriend?” he grins. “Do you want me to be your boyfriend?”
“Yes! absolutely. Do you want me to be your girlfriend?” you ask, batting your eyelashes.
“Absolutely, i want you to be my girlfriend." He kisses you again, this time with more than a peck.
One of his hands touched the back of your neck while the other pressed against your thigh. He gets closer to you as you squeeze his face and lean your head to give him more access. His tongue makes its way into your mouth, playing with you. You moan softly, your teeth clashing and the remnants of your lipstick mixing on his lips. He gasps at the sudden way you sit on top of him, feeling the rough material of his shorts against your clothed core.
His hand rubs the skin of your thigh and goes up under your dress, resting on your hip and giving it a squeeze. He doesn’t go past that, he doesn’t want to rush you, but you take your sweet time to sway your hips against the bulge formed on his pants. The friction feels so good it makes your body shake, but something is setting you back.
“I’m sorry” you whisper, taking a break from the kiss and trying to ease your breathing.
“Is there something wrong?” Eddie asks.
“No, no. I got nervous, that’s all” you reply, avoiding looking him in the eyes. A wave of embarrassment rushes over you.
“It’s alright, we don’t have to do anything you don’t want, baby” His hand still rests under your dress, feeling the warmth of it on your skin.
“I’m sorry” you whisper again.
“Hey, look at me,” you finally lock your eyes with his. Biting your lip. “You don’t have to apologize for anything, ever. You are my girl, i will protect you and the only thing i want is for you to feel comfortable.”
“Thank you for taking so much care of me.” you answer, sweetly kissing his cheek.
“Always” he says, shaking his head, curls bobbing, and brushing against his sweaty forehead. “Are you alright?”
You nod. “Just got lost in my head, don’t worry”
“I do worry, but it’s okay. It happens.” he kisses your forehead, letting you breathe and feel relieved. No one has ever treated you this sweetly.
“Thank you, boyfriend,” you laugh, another peck on his lips for good measure.
“I’m here for you, girlfriend.”
“I’m here for you too.”
His arms come to hug you, your waist pressing against his torso as he falls on your back with you on top. You giggle as he shakes his head to get his hair away from his face, even with the bun he got, his hair goes all over the place. Your fingers brush against his skin, trying to get his curls out of his face, tickling him in the process.
He giggles back, noticing your smile and your cheeks glowing.
“I wish we could stay here forever” you say, your words tickling against his lips.
“Me too, but I have to go back for practice. Are you joining us?”
“Always, i’m your biggest fan ever.”
“And I'm yours, sweetheart.”
i love reading your answers so here we have new questions: should reader tell or show Eddie? do you want a trip to the beach or Eddie to bring the beach to us? 🐚

Scout's Honor - Eddie Munson x Reader
Collaboration with my dearest @munson-blurbs
An As You Wish story
Summary: The annual Father-Daughter Girl Scout Square Dance comes around but Eddie and Steve are saddled with some car trouble.
Note: Everyone needs to go thank Bug for this incredibly adorable idea!
Words: 2.1k
[As You Wish masterlist]
Men.
Can’t live with them, can’t…convince them not to go fishing on the day of their daughters’ Girl Scouts events.
Eddie and Steve had promised you and Nancy that they would be home in time to take Eliza and Mia to the annual square dance.
“We’ll get an early start,” they’d said, ignoring Eliza’s insistence that she won’t go with her father if he reeks of fish. He’d just laughed, kissed her cheek, and reiterated that he would shower before the dance.
Maybe you’re naive for believing him. And yet, when the phone rang and Eddie’s sheepish voice explains that Steve’s car broke down—codeword for ‘we ran out of gas’—you’re wholly unsurprised.
“I always made fun of Wayne for fishing.” Eddie muses, the payphone crackling as he exhales. “Called it an old man activity. This is what I get.”
You grit your teeth, hand clenched in a fist. “Just…get home,” you hiss, hanging up the receiver and massaging your temples.
Who could have ever foreseen such an outcome?
While you’re stewing over the men’s incompetence, Mia remains levelheaded—just like her mother—and proposes a solution. “What if Luke and Ryan take us?”
Her suggestion is almost certainly rooted in her crush on your younger son, but it proves to be a worthwhile idea, nonetheless. Eliza’s face lights up, and before you know it, your five-year-old is dragging her brothers from their room.
“Please?” She pouts sweetly, batting her doe eyes up at them. “Daddy and Uncle Steve can’t make it, and we can’t go all alone.” She lays it on thick, knowing full well she doesn’t have to—the boys would do just about anything for her.
Ryan and Luke raid Eddie’s dresser drawers for flannels, finding the ones that he had nabbed from Wayne’s trailer. The girls don cowgirl hats, excitedly giggling as they climb into the back of the minivan. It’s still strange for you to see Ryan behind the wheel, but your heart swells with pride as you watch him double-check Eliza’s booster seat before pulling out of the driveway.
At seventeen years old, Eddie Munson spent his Saturday nights selling cheap weed at high school parties—many of them, ironically, thrown by “King” Steve Harrington.
At seventeen years old, Ryan Munson is spending his Saturday night taking his little sister and her best friend to the Girl Scouts square dance.
“Everyone buckled?” He calls back, already knowing that they are. Still, he waits until he receives a chorus of yeses before he drives off.
Luke turns around from the passenger seat. “Now, do we have to make a perfect square?” He keeps a serious expression, much to Ryan’s amusement. “Like, what if it’s a bit oval-y? Do we get kicked out? Do you two get banished from the Girl Scouts?”
Eliza and Mia are both used to his nonsense, and they burst into a fit of giggles. Ryan cracks a smile of his own, eyes trained on the road.
Precious cargo and all that.
When they arrive at the old VFW hall, the girls immediately pull them over to their group of friends. It’s a sea of young girls and their dads—and some moms—but nary a big brother in sight except for the two Munson boys.
Ryan barely has time to feel out of place. The emcee, a middle-aged woman with bright pink lipstick and a too-wide smile, grabs the mic.
“Welcome to our Father-Daughter Square Dance!” The room erupts into applause, quieting down only to hear about how this fundraiser supports the Girl Scouts of Indiana. The scouts repeat their pledge, which is met with more cheers, and then a western tune bleats over the old sound system.
Eliza grabs Ryan’s hand as the emcee calls out instructions. Mia is a bit shyer with Luke, but they still manage all of the steps without stomping on the other’s toes.
“Liza, I’m sorry Dad couldn’t make it,” Ryan says between songs.
Eliza gives him a small smile. “That’s okay. It’s kinda cooler to bring my big brother.”
He grins. Just wait until his dad hears that.
As everyone is getting into position for the next dance, a new song comes on that has more banjo than Luke has ever heard in his life.
“Oh, yeah. We’re definitely in Indiana,” he says.
Mia chuckles as she peeks up at Luke from beneath the brim of her straw cowgirl hat. A blue ribbon on one of her red pigtail braids is loose so Luke reaches down to fix it for the little girl. Mia’s freckled face blooms as red as her hair. Luke pretends not to notice, not wanting to embarrass her. The big crush on Luke became obvious when she was three, and now at ten, it’s still hanging around. The fifteen-year-old Munson boy thinks it’s flattering and only ever teases her if she starts it first.
“Ready?” Luke asks, offering Mia his hand.
“Ready!”
“But I didn't realize any of this until I was standing alone. In a barn... wife-less. Now, you can imagine my disappointment when it suddenly dawned on me that the woman I love is about to be kicked out of the country. So, Margaret. Marry me. Because I'd like to date you.”
Both you and Nancy hold your wine glasses, neither moving a muscle as you watch Ryan Reynolds catch up to Sandra Bullock in a New York City office building. An empty pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream sits between you on the couch, two green-smudged silver spoons resting inside.
With the men out fishing, Ryan and Luke out with the two girls, and Natalie watching the rest of the kids over at the Harrington house, your place became the ultimate Mom’s Night In for you and Nancy. A chance to drink a little, gossip a little, have some snacks and watch some romcoms.
Your peace has finally come to an end, however, when the front door bursts open and two men who reek of murky water, bug spray, and gasoline come barging in.
“Jesus, Steve,” Nancy says, face pinching up at the foul odor wafting from your husbands.
You wave a hand in front of your face as if that will make the smell dissipate any faster.
“How were the fish?” you ask, turning your head away to give your nostrils a fighting chance.
“We caught a grand total of zero,” Steve says with a sigh, his black fishing boots looking comically misplaced on him. Neither of the men look natural in fishing gear. But when a guy from work offered Eddie the use of his boat for the day, he found he couldn’t turn it down.
“Did you bring the fishing poles?” Nancy asks, sarcasm lining the amusement on her face.
Both men give her an annoyed side eye before Eddie looks around and takes a step towards you.
“Where are the girls?” he asks.
“Ryan and Luke took them to the dance,” you tell him. “They should be back soon.”
Steve grimaces and claps a heavy hand down on Eddie’s shoulder.
“Eliza’s gonna kill you.”
Eddie raises his eyebrows and spins to meet his friend’s eye.
“And Mia won’t kill you?”
Steve grins. “Not if she got to dance with Luke.” This is the only time the man has ever been thankful for Mia’s crush on the Munson teen.
Front door still open from when the men barged in, Ryan, Luke, Eliza, and Mia walk inside, laughing and talking over one another. Ryan is giving Eliza a piggyback ride and Luke has Mia’s too-small cowgirl hat perched on top of his head. The moment Eliza’s wide brown eyes spot her father, she demands answers.
“Daddy, where were you?”
Ryan gently lets her down and she stomps over in her beige cowgirl boots, stopping right in front of Eddie.
“Liza, I’m so sorry,” Eddie pleads. “Our car broke down. We tried everything we could to get back in time—”
Tears build up in Eliza’s eyes and Eddie feels his heart constrict in his chest. It might as well be Eliza’s little fist squeezing it.
“You were s’post to go with me!”
Eddie sighs and runs a ringed, smelly hand over his face. “I know. And I promise I’ll go next time. But I’m glad you got to bring your brothers.
“Did you have fun at least?” Steve asks from behind him.
Mia nods emphatically and both you and Nancy have to bite your lips to keep from smiling.
Eliza nods in agreement, although not as enthusiastically as her friend. “Yeah. And Ryan is a good dancer.”
Luke smirks, and if Eddie were looking at him, he’d see the devious glint in his eye. “Not as good as Dad, I’m sure.”
Loud snickers come from you, Nancy, and Steve. Eddie’s jaw drops open as he looks around the room.
“I can dance!”
“Yeah, Dad?” Ryan asks.
“Yeah!”
“Lucky for you, we’re all right here to witness it,” Luke says with a shrug.
Eddie scoffs and shakes his head. “There’s no music. And I don’t really think my Metallica is easy to groove to.”
“We’ve got my Billy Joel—” you start.
“Or my *NSYNC!” Mia adds.
“No,” Eddie says. “Thank you girls, but no.”
Smirk only growing larger, Luke pats his father on the shoulder. “Lucky for you, we’ve got just what you need.”
Eddie raises an eyebrow as he watches his son take a CD out of a Target bag he was conveniently hiding behind his back.
“How was fishing, by the way?” Luke asks as he wrestles with the plastic engulfing the case.
“Pointless,” Steve says.
“Your uncle didn’t bring enough bait,” Eddie added. Steve is about to refute but Luke speaks before he gets the chance.
“But you would have, Dad? Does that make you a master baiter?”
Ryan is the only one who is unable to contain his laughter. The joke goes over the girls’ heads, but you give your son a soft glare anyway. Never mind that you found it hilarious, just as you know the other adults did as well, but sometimes you’ve got to be the parent.
Luke shrugs it off and pops the finally-freed CD into the stereo and the sound of a bow sawing over fiddle strings fills the room. Your second-oldest nods his head to Eliza.
“Go ahead, Lize. Show the old man how it’s done.”
“There’s not enough room to square dance in here,” Eddie says.
Without even so much as glancing at one another, you and Nancy get off of the couch and push it back, making plenty more space in the living room. The two of you smirk at one another and Nancy crosses her arms over her chest.
“Y’know, I don’t think it’s fair that you guys get to reap the benefits of your daughters being Girl Scouts without putting in the work.”
A grin grows on your face as you see where Nancy is going with this.
“Yeah,” you agree, “maybe you don’t need more Samoas this year.”
Eddie’s face falls, and he looks at Steve, who shrugs in defeat. Gotta hit the guys where it hurts: food.
“All right, show us the moves,” Steve says.
Mia grins, a bounce in her step as she takes Eliza’s smaller hand and walks to the middle of the floor. “Okay, me and Liza will be partners. Just watch us.”
Steve furrows his eyebrows and looks between the two girls, one with now-messy twin red braids, and the other with a light brown cowgirl hat atop two curly pigtails.
“Wait, if you two are dancing together, who are Eddie and I dancing with?” he asks.
Eliza giggles. “Each other.”
“Nope,” Eddie replies. “No way.”
With an over dramatic sigh, you shrug your shoulders at your husband. “No dancing, no Samoas.”
“Damn those little coconut fuckers,” Eddie mumbles under his breath. “All right, big boy. But I get to be the guy.”
“Sure, we’ll play pretend,” Steve quips back. It’ll be a miracle if they both make it through the first dance alive.
Eliza and Mia begin to go through the motions, showing their fathers what to do. Everyone is laughing as they do-si-do and hook arms to swing each other around.
“Did I earn my cookies yet?” Eddie asks once the next song ends.
“That’s up to your daughter,” you tell him with a shrug.
Eddie looks at Eliza expectantly, the big puppy dog eyes that he passed down to her working their magic.
“Almost, Daddy. You gotta dance with me first.”
“Now that, I can do.”

You never minded doing your neighbor Anakin favors. He is a single dad with three adult children and a grandchild, despite his young age. You don't know many people who become grandparents in their 40s, but Anakin's son had gotten a girl pregnant and she left him to take care of the baby.
Anakin's son isn't the best parent. He's still a kid himself but he's been working long hours to make enough money to support his child. During the day when he's at work, you come over to take care of the baby.
They don't pay you much but the baby, Eddie, is the sweetest little boy in the entire world. You work nights at the diner, so spending time at Anakin's trailer during the day is no issue at all, especially when you're so close to your own home.
Anakin's hours at the mechanic's shop change all the time. Sometimes he goes in before sunrise and gets home at 3 pm, and other times he hasn't woken up for the day by the time you get there to watch Eddie.
Today is one of the days he got home early. You were folding laundry on the couch when he walked in, sweaty and grimy from the day. He froze in the doorway when he saw you.
"Hi, Mr. Skywalker," you greet with a smile.
"You don't have to call me that," he chuckles as he kicks off his boots by the door. "How's the baby been?"
"Oh, just perfect," you smile. "He's down for a nap right now."
Anakin nods as he walks over to the kitchen sink to wash his hands. He watches you continue to fold the laundry and he thinks to himself that you would make a good housewife. You're responsible, pretty, and young enough to handle young kids.
Anakin drys his hands on the towel on the counter, then walks over to where you sit on the couch. You look up at him but you find it hard to maintain eye contact when he's looking at you so intensely. You've always been a bit intimidated by Anakin, but you know it's all in your head. He's a nice guy and you're just a girl with a stupid crush.
"Need any help?" he asks.
"No, it's okay," you smile.
"Are you sure?" he insists.
You look down at the full laundry basket of folded clothes. "Well, you could bring that to the bedroom for me if you want," you say.
With a charming smile, Anakin bends down to pick up the basket and starts off down the hall before turning around, waiting for you to follow him.
Anakin places the basket on the bed and stands back as you begin to place the clothes in his drawers. When you bend down to put some paired socks in the bottom drawer, Anakin looks shamelessly at your ass.
Putting on the charm and playing the nice guy has never been hard for Anakin. What's difficult is keeping his true nature hidden when no one is watching.
He sees how you look at him. You wouldn't babysit Eddie everyday for basically free if something wasn't in it for you. Anakin comes home early from work some days just so he can see your face light up when he walks through the door. You're so cute and innocent; such a sweet girl who has no idea what she's getting herself into.
Licking his lips, Anakin decides he doesn't want to hold off any longer. He steps towards you to place his hands on your hips and he pulls you back against him.
"Anakin!" you gasp, making him chuckle.
"Shh, you'll wake the baby," he says into her ear. "It's alright."
"W-what are you doing?"
The tip of his nose brushes against your ear and you shiver in his arms. "I'm doin' exactly what you want me to do, dollface."
"What-"
"You do all the house work, take care of my baby, greet me when I come home from work. You're pretty much my little housewife already. Why don't we make it official, huh?"
"I don't know what you mean," you say breathlessly.
Anakin's laugh rumbles through his chest. "I'm gonna make you mine, sweetheart. Might even give you a baby of your own."
Anakin's erection pokes your ass and you can't resist from pressing back against it. You have no idea where this is all coming from, but you have been dreaming of this. Anakin coming in and bending you over to claim you for his own, though you never thought it would actually happen.
"You wanna be pregnant with my kid, baby? You'd make such a good mommy. Don't you wanna make me a daddy again?"
Your stomach burns with desire but you know it's wrong. You had no idea he even had interest in you but now he's talking about getting you pregnant? You're brought out of your thoughts by the sound of Eddie crying in the next room. Saved by the bell.
You try to break away from Anakin's hold but he grips your hips tightly.
"But Eddie-"
"Let him cry. This is more important."

My ted talk about Rio Vidal
Facts that we can’t or won’t deny:
She is the MCU incarnation of Death.
She is Agatha’s ex (wife).
Now let’s talk about her characteristics and behavior in Agatha All Along.
Episode 1: She shows nothing but love for Agatha when she “visits”.
We now know that Agatha gets a different version of what people say to her, or sometimes none at all or people stays silent but she gets a response in her version, only dialogue with pure, strong emotions come through; so maybe all of Rio’s dialogues are not completely what it seems. I assume all the dialogues about the case is the spelled version, or Agatha self-inserted dialogues to keep her in the “detective” persona; so let’s talk about some that seems out of place or have double meaning, because I think some of it actually get through the spell:
If you want to be in control, you can be + Is this really how you see yourself? Rio is showing support, encouragement, or at least that is how Agatha interprets it.
That’s not why I came over. I think this line got changed a bit to fit the scenario, but it still carries some of Rio’s intention, which is to break Agatha out of Wanda’s spell (to kill, marry, kiss her).
Do you remember why you hate me? This line may get delivered in a different tone in reality (Rio laughing, mockingly says it maybe).
Are you hiding evidence + Well, you’re only lying to yourself. This seems out of place. The reality version could be: are you hiding something from me (thought? Sus af).
These out of place lines show Rio caring about Agatha, or it could mean that’s how Agatha interprets Rio. Nonetheless, if they decided to show Rio’s pov, I will get back to this.
There’s nothing that needs to be said about the morgue scene, except maybe Rio stays and watches her ex-wife put on a show for her, lmao (I need someone to draw her making money rain as Agatha distressingly get out of the spell).
I suspect the painting has something to do with their past. I will wait for more information.
Yes, I know she came at Agatha all stabby stabby after Agatha woke up, but let’s be honest, that could just be how Death expresses love. And her words in this conversation also shows caring and love, it’s only Agatha expressed hatred toward her.
Also, I rewatched episode 1 and now just realize Billy witness all that domestic chaos bet them, yikes (kinda feel lucky that he can’t read their mind, because damn, that’ll definitely be something).
Episode 4: This is the episode that explores their dynamic the most.
Agatha knew Rio doesn’t belong in the coven, she can’t be part of any coven. But to show up in front of her now, she looks extremely angry and upset at Rio.
In the trials, apart from Agatha tricking Rio into saying “get my bodies”, I found 2 interesting exchanges between them.
Agatha told Rio “No”. She knows Rio’s identity, so I think she thinks Rio is here to collect someone’s soul (at the time, it’s “Teen” who she suspects being Nicholas).
Agatha told Rio “You’re too early”. Given the new trailer having Alice look alive and well, with that dialogue, maybe witches won’t die within the trials, everyone will come back at the ends or the last trial and that’s when things go batshit crazy and Lady Death comes to collect “her bodies” (could possible that’s how Agatha and Rio met too).
Now, let’s talk about the moment Billy is injured.
Agatha is panicked and upset, and she is showing it. When she told Rio “Don’t” (take him away again!), Rio changes from silently watching the witches fussing to slightly surprised, and then her eyes look down at Billy, look at Agatha like she is thinking something. She knows who Billy is, and now with how Agatha behaves, she knows Agatha actually thinks he’s Nicholas and cares about him. That can’t be good. So now she has to do what she hates: hurt Agatha, aka telling her the truth, which is like taking Nicholas from Agatha all over again. And what annoying the most is that she is the only one knowing and Agatha will trust with that kind of information.
There is nothing needed to explore about the “She’s my scar” scene, lol. So let’s dissect the hug scene. That hug is Agatha expresses her gratitude to Rio (for not taking her son), Rio takes a moment to enjoy it but she has to stop at the almost-kiss. Because she knows, if they kissed, Agatha will hate her more after she knows Billy’s identity. Better to rip off that band-aid early, right? Rio’s face after is showing that she still dislikes it though.
Episode 5: She is at her best, chaotic evil entity who is in love with Agatha.
I mean, she really enjoys Agatha’s trial at first, because she likes to see strangers trying to torture Agatha (like they possibly can anyway, lol). But the moment Evanora shows up, her demeanor changes. Yes, strangers can hurt Agatha, because they can barely scrape the surface even if they throw everything they have in. And Agatha can do what she does best, trick them into handling over their power, and Rio gets the bodies. Not to mention Rio can see Agatha’s emotions if those witches can poke through the bear (their relationship is so poisoned, i love it). But not the MIL, because Agatha will actually become vulnerable, which Rio won’t absolutely allow. Because that will hit Agatha deep, and that will make her fall, and Rio will lose her.
Also there is a small scene where Agatha climbs out of the trial, Rio’s look and music is kinda strange. Let’s wait to see what they will show us.
I won’t look past how Rio mysteriously disappears whenever the coven is in crisis, maybe being Death, she can’t intervene with what decides the fate of the coven.

Shadow Generations
If the Fallen Angel motifs weren't obvious enough with Shadow's wings. This is the nail in the coffin. A biblical accurate Black Doom form of some kind. That thing looming over you in the White Space is going to be so creepy. Always watching you no matter where you go.
Looks like Black Doom still wants Shadow to be a part of his army. That honestly does makes sense. Black Doom was promised the Ultimate Lifeform to be the vanguard of his race, and he'll get what's his. I do think Black Doom unlocking Shadow's new Doom powers will allow him to create a deeper connection with the hedgehog. Making it easier for him to mind control Shadow.
Holy shit! This looks so very painful for Shadow. Am I the only one getting Symbiote vibes from this? Given the many comparisons that have been made between Shadow and Venom.
Damn! Black Doom look good in the updated graphics! In the upper right-hand corner, you can see the biblical accurate form. A while back a person by the name of cr1ms0nesp3ra-ac3 made a comment saying that Black Doom could be trying to possess Shadow's body.
I replied that in the previous trailers, we saw Doom's Eye, but I later stated that this does not definitively prove Black Doom has returned physically. His mind could still be trapped within the Eye. Alternatively, the new moon form in the White Space could be the new vessel for his consciousness, rather than the Eye. We'll have to wait and see. For all we know he could actually be back with his body. The new information provided in this latest trailer has led me to no longer believe in the possibility of body possession.
Seeing the volcano erupt in the background of the Chaos Island stage is a cool detail. To anyone who played Sonic Frontiers would know that the volcano only erupts after Sonic beats the pinball machine. After seeing this part of the trailer, I like to think Future-Sonic is on Chaos Island right now playing the pinball machine while Shadow is traversing the island.
Definitely won't happen but it would be awesome to see Super Sonic vs The Knight fight from the distance. It was said the Shadow's story would have crossover moments. Not sure what that means.
These two images go hard. In the background is the Doom Moon and it looks different here than it does in the White World. The sight of Shadow flying toward that thing is giving off a redeemed Lucifer vibe. You know? It's a good thing Eggman doesn't know about this. Eggman has a track record of pissing on moons.
Mother fucking Mephiles!!!!? I was completely blown away by this reveal! Mephiles has been pretty much a no zone for future stories after 06. Mainly because Sonic 06's story was erased from the timeline meaning him along with Iblis don't exist anymore. However, we know the real reason why Mephiles never made a return till now. His debut game in the franchise was and still is the worst one that nearly killed it. So, we can't blame for SEGA never wanting to acknowledge him again. I do hope he's done justice in Shadow's story. I am curious if Shadow will remember him. It will end the debate if Sonic is the only one who remembers the events of 06.
Such a cool scene! Shadow being a badass is always a treat to watch. Though his red eyes are concerning. Does that mean he's closer to falling into Black Doom's control the more Doom Powers he gets and taps into?
Maria Robotnik in the White Space. I would not have believed you if you told me during the early years of Youtube that Maria would come back in a game. But here she is, pulled into the White Space where Shadow is. I hope the reunion between the two is well written, acted, and animated.

Hate That I Loved You
Now complete on AO3!
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 ↓ | Part 5 | Part 6
Despite Eddie's wishes, everything just keeps on moving.
In a way, it's a little comforting to know that no matter how badly Eddie fucks up, life keeps going. It kept going when Lou almost broke him, it kept going every time he dumped someone or got dumped. It kept going when his mom passed away in the middle of the European leg of their tour.
It kept moving when he and Steve stopped walking in the same direction.
Eddie sits in his dressing room, waiting for his make-up to be finished. He barely slept during the night, a mix of anxiousness and fear of whatever was to come.
Eddie wants to talk to Steve and clear the air and explain that what he had seen the night before wasn't what he thought it was. There's nothing between him and Lou. Not anymore.
It's not like he thinks Steve still wants something with him. He's not delusional or anything, knows Steve is doing this only as a favor to him and nothing more. But he's done hurting Steve, needs to put an end to all this once and for all.
There was no time in between the band finishing up their part of the music video at around 3am and the super early call time they all had for the last day of shooting. When he got there, Eddie got dragged to wardrobe and make-up and had no time to even look for Steve.
He hoped Steve hadn't bailed because of whatever it was that he thought he saw last night, but if he had, they would most likely know by now. Probably.
But to be completely honest, Eddie doesn't even realize he's holding his breath in anticipation until the moment he lay eyes on Steve again.
Eddie gets into the studio all ready for the shooting. His clothes are a perfect match to what he used to wear back then, right before Corroded Coffin made it big. A sleeveless CC shirt with ripped skinny jeans. Always black. Chains and rings and a leather jacket on top of everything.
It feels even weirder once he gets a good look at it. The studio had been completely modified and now he can see a perfect representation of his uncle’s old trailer. The place where he made most of the music for their first album.
The place where he fell in love with Steve.
But now that Eddie is really looking at it, he can see only half of the trailer. The other half is actually the recording studio where they had made their first album.
Half and half, torn in the middle, just like Eddie had been back then. Unable to choose between life with Steve and the band.
Whenever Eddie was with Steve, his brain was thinking music and lyrics and chords. He itched to put his hands on a guitar, to take notes, to write.
Then, when he was with the band, he kept thinking about Steve, missing him, missing his touch and his kiss and-
“Hey,” Steve’s voice sounds unsure, like he had tried getting Eddie’s attention more than once.
“Hi. Sorry, it’s… Weird being back here,” Eddie says and Steve gives him a soft smile which… Don't seem like a bad thing.
“Yeah. Brings back a lot of memories,” Steve agrees and motions forward as if he’s going to touch Eddie’s arm.
But then the director is calling their names and asking if they are ready and Steve drops his hand, turning away from him.
“Can we, uh, talk? After? I really wanted to explain what you saw yesterday.”
Steve shakes his head. “You don’t owe me an explanation, Eddie.”
“No, I know. But I want to. If you… Please?”
Steve looks over at him and there’s this unreadable thing about his expression that tugs at Eddie’s heart. He needs him to say yes. Needs him to listen to him. He needs to still have a chance.
“Yeah, ok,” Steve says finally and Eddie can barely react before they are being directed to their places for the shoot.
They have both the places that tore Eddie apart, and they are separated by a thick glass. Steve is standing on one side, a symbol of Eddie’s past life, the one he left behind when he started to pursue a life in music.
The other is all his dreams coming true. Everything that he ever wanted becoming real. Back then, Eddie thought Steve didn’t fit in it. Steve didn’t feel he fit in. He never made Eddie choose, but soon it became clear Eddie wouldn’t be able to balance the two things at the same time for long.
He’d be away too much. And Steve needed him near. Wanted him there and Eddie wasn’t there. They fought, screamed at each other out of frustration and heartbreak.
Eddie wanted to stay and he knew he needed to leave, but he only found courage to do it when Steve told him he didn’t see a future for them, that Eddie should put his chips on something more certain.
He realized that day he would never be enough for Steve. He was splitting himself in half for him, trying to make everyone happy, and even then he was failing. Couldn't get things right.
The day he walked away, Eddie felt like his heart was going to give in. And he feels that way again as he looks into Steve’s eyes and sings how he hates that he loved him.
There's this glass in between them and Eddie can't get through. No matter how loud he sings, no matter how much he tries, he can't have it all. He starts to wonder how much different his life would be if he had bet on his relationship with Steve.
Wonders if he would've been happy with any other job. Maybe he would have become a music teacher somewhere. Have a white picket fence house with three cats and Steve. Maybe that would've been enough for him.
Or maybe he'd resent Steve, like he always said he would. Every time Eddie missed something related to the band because Steve, he said that. Like Eddie couldn't make his own decisions.
He knocks on the glass as Steve walks around the trailer with his back to Eddie. He wants to reach him, but he can't, and suddenly there's this suffocating need to tell him everything. To tell Steve how he feels.
It's not past tense. His feelings for Steve never went anywhere, always there, always alive. He needs him to know. Even if Steve doesn't feel the same anymore, he's sure Steve has moved on from their thing a long time ago. He just needs him to know.
Maybe back then it wasn't time for him and Steve, but maybe now it can be.

Sweet Home 3 Teaser Personal Breakdown
youtube
As what I feared, Sergeant Tak and Sang-won collabed (for the lack of better word). The people showing symptoms, instead of being isolated in certain place outside the stadium until they die (if my memory is correct), will be taken to wherever the Neohuman gang intended to further undergo monsterization process and if some are lucky enough, will be Neohumans (since we know not all people become Neohumans, some turn into pure full monster form)
Dr. Lim is pretty much alive, doing the announcement on the beginning of the trailer (well I thought Sang-won gonna give him double amount of karma for the torturous experiment he volunteered, apparently a too high expectation my bad). My assumption is after the encounter in the last episode of season 2, he made an agreement with Sang-won (probably to save his ass) and let him to the stadium
Yi-kyung's daughter is also inside the stadium now. Hm, wonder how and when she get in 🤔 What is she gonna do in season 3? Whose side she's on? Or she's still on her own side with the non-Neohuman monsters like the ones she has befriended (notice that none of them are Neohumans)? We shall see
Now I remember why the high school shaman girl in Exhuma felt familiar, turned out few months before the movie, she played the monster girl Sergeant Kim met in the last episode of season 2 where his platoon went inside the facility (now she's outside with the others). Yeah, definitely a polar opposite role. Strange I didn't saw her actress name in the SH2 cast list, I wonder why
Some glimpses of tragedy and doom that will happen to the soldiers (and if my memory is correct there's the sick woman with military boyfriend as well). It's not pretty, I know
We got action duo Eun-yu and Chan-young obviously fighting the monsters (and probably Neohumans too). His fans on twt pointing out in an understandable fear because of the genre that this little sneak peak might be summarizing his final appearances (as in death flag), but let's see when the season is released. I'm positive he's gonna survive, but if he got the Ji-su treatment, welp won't be surprised again this time
The scene where everyone (including Hyun-su and not just the stadium survivors) gathered outside, I wonder what was that for? 🤔 There are some monster cocoons as well
Only Kim and one of his crew who survived Bamseom?
Where did Hyun-su get the cool black suit? Did he go to another shopping mall like at the early episodes of season 2? Have he consider wearing a sleeveless cloth because it's a shame the expensive sleeve got ripped again
My bad feeling and paranoia is skyrocketing again with that Eun-hyeok only scene 😶 Yeah I know he literally walked with Eun-yu and Hyun-su on the first official teaser pic back in February. But better safe than sorry, I never trust that kind of blank sinister look and head tilting
Hoooo, Hyun-su is talking about taking out and killing Sang-won? 👀 Can't wait for the unlimited stabbing and flirting between them (featuring Eun-hyeok if the battle royal gonna be real)
We (I mean Hyun-su) gonna fight a bigger protein monster?
Who does Sang-won refer to with the "we'll meet soon? Hyun-su? His biological child?
Good luck with your family drama and inner monster struggle, Yi-kyung. Wish you all the best
Please do correct me if I'm wrong or add what you noticed but I didn't on the reply. Thank you

A/N: Well, here it is! As I currently have it planned, this will be seven parts, so we're officially past the halfway point now. This part's a little shorter, but I'm hoping you'll think it's worth it.
Big thanks to @drabblewithfrannybarnes for helping me nail down the new character here! (If you don't remember doing that Carly, it's because it was ages ago 🤣)
Any comment, reblog, or ask to let me know what you think will be greatly appreciated. Even if it's just screaming at me. 😄 As always, thank you so much for reading! 💜
The drive to the restaurant was uncomfortable. Or maybe it wasn’t. Maybe it was just you. Sitting in the backseat alone, while Curtis and Jensen quietly conversed in the front, you felt ridiculous. You should learn how to drive. You were a grown woman who couldn’t even get herself anywhere—just another way you didn’t know how to be responsible for yourself.
You stared at Curtis in the front seat. It’d been a few weeks since your boundaries conversation. You hadn’t spoken to him much since. He was right. It was better. Cleaner. But you missed being able to talk to him.
Something had changed about the way he watched you though. You would swear that it was more intense now, the way his eyes followed you around the room. And it always seemed like he had something to say, he’d just never say it. He didn’t make any sense.
You took a breath. You were nervous about this lunch. You weren’t entirely sure what the purpose of it was, aside from the fact that Marnie Reynolds had wanted to meet. You hadn’t seen her in years and then she just texted you out of the blue two days ago, asking if you wanted to have lunch. You assumed she was going to pitch you something. Why else would she want to talk? You hoped it’d be something easy to agree to. It would make Wilford and Tanya feel better if someone actively wanted to work with you, at the very least.
The restaurant wasn’t the kind of place you normally went to. It was nice, but tucked away, not designed for those who wanted to see and be seen. Marnie had chosen it. She was waiting for you at a small table in the back, even more private. She stood as you approached and enveloped you in a warm hug. She was just as glamorous as you remembered, suddenly hit by memories of sitting in her trailer while she let you try on her jewelry. She’d always been so nice to you. “Oh, honey, it’s so good to see you,” she said as you both sat down.
You smiled and nodded. “It’s good to see you, too. How are you?”
“Oh, good, good,” she said with a big smile. “Just got back from a shoot in Greece. Happy to be home.” Her eyes lost a little of their luster as she asked, “How are you, darling?”
“Oh, I’m fine,” you said. You could tell she wanted you to say more, but you just nodded and shrugged.
“Well,” she looked at you carefully, “I can’t get over how grown up you are. I know it’s silly, but I think I’ll always see you as the sixteen-year-old I met at the table read ten years ago.”
“You and all of America,” you said dryly before you could think better of it.
Instead of chastising you, she just nodded. “I’m very grateful I didn’t have to grow up so publicly and then have to make that transition to being an adult. I can’t imagine how hard that is.”
You shrugged again. You didn’t really know what to say to her.
“Which, speaking of, I owe you an apology.”
Panic rose in your chest. Oh, god. Had she sold a story about you? Said something private in an interview? Blocked you from a new role? You weren’t sure you could handle one more thing right now. “Oh?” you asked shakily.
She nodded, seriously. “I should have done a better job of keeping in touch with you after we’d finished the movie. I owed you that much. I’m sorry.”
You furrowed your brow, confused. “That’s fine. You’ve been so busy. I didn’t really expect you to remember me. I mean, you won an Oscar. I know how much work that takes.”
“Mmm,” she said, “and you sent me flowers.”
You shrugged. You just kept shrugging. “Well, you were always kind to me, and I was so happy for you. It seemed like the least I should do.”
“You were always so sweet. I’m so happy to see that hasn’t changed.”
At the sincerity on her face, you looked down at your menu. You didn’t know what to say to that.
“How’s your mom?” she asked, her tone strangely cautious. “Is she still your manager?”
“Oh, no. Wilford helped me get a new one when I turned 18. He thought I needed someone more experienced.”
She let out a breath, almost like she was relieved. “I have to admit, I’m happy to hear that.” You gave her a confused look and she continued softly, “She was always so hard on you. It was part of why I always invited you to my trailer. It seemed like you could really use a break from her.” She gave you another impossibly warm smile. “Plus, you were such great company. I loved making that movie with you.”
You couldn’t hide your relief when the server chose that moment to take your orders. You didn’t know what to do with the fondness in Marnie’s eyes.
Once you were both done ordering, you decided you were ready to talk business. “So, what’s the project?” you asked.
She looked confused. “Project?”
“Uh, yeah. Whatever you wanted to pitch me? The reason you asked me here.”
“Oh, honey, no, I’m sorry. There’s no project. I just wanted to see you.”
That didn’t make sense. That she didn’t want to work with you again made sense. No one did, so of course she didn’t either. But then why else were you here? “I don’t understand,” you said quietly.
She let out a sad little sigh. “I’ve seen some of what’s been going on with you, online, and it just seems like you need a friend. I want to be that for you. I think about you more than you know.”
“Oh,” was all you managed to say.
She grabbed your hand over the table. “There’s so much going on for you right now. I can’t imagine how hard it must be, and then to have to deal with it in public too.”
You didn’t say anything, just looked at your joined hands on the table. Then, finally, still looking down, “Uh, yeah. I’m having a pretty hard time.”
She squeezed your hand. “I’m so sorry. I’m here to listen if you ever want to talk about it.”
You finally looked up and nodded, but didn’t say anything else. You weren’t sure you could.
She looked at you carefully. “Have you thought about taking a break at all?”
You were reminded of Curtis, sitting on your couch, looking at you so earnestly, talking about taking a year off. You shook the image out of your head. “No,” you said. “It isn’t a good time. My reputation isn’t great right now, so I need to get back out there and show people that I can do the work. I need to fix it.”
“Mmm,” she hummed, “that sounds like agent speak.”
“Well,” you shrugged, “he’s right.”
“Remember, though,” she said, slowly, “that you’re a person, too. Not just a career.”
You just looked at her, blankly. Your career had been the most important thing about you since you were nine years old. You didn’t know how to separate the two. Luckily, that was when the server returned with your food, and Marnie graciously took it as a sign to take over the conversation for the rest of your meal. She talked about the movie she’d just finished, how her kids were doing, and the large garden she was planting at home. It was nice. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d had a meal out with a friend like this.
Still, you left the restaurant feeling raw and restless. You weren’t sure what to do with that conversation, the hard parts of it. The way she looked at you like she actually saw you. There was an itch in you now that just made you want to run.
Instead, as soon as you got home, you poured yourself a glass of sangria from the pitcher your housekeeper kept in your fridge and took the latest script Wilford had sent you onto your deck. You could feel Curtis watching you as you moved through the glass doors. That was his job, you told yourself. It was just his job.
The script fucking sucked. It was awful. The opposite of what you wanted to do. But you knew what Wilford would say. Beggars can’t be choosers. This was your fault. You were the one who’d destroyed your reputation. You had to be the one to fix it. And if making shit like this would fix it, then that’s what you had to do. Too many people relied on you for you not to do whatever you could, take whatever paychecks you could get. You hated it. You hated it so much. But you would do it.
You picked up your phone. You hadn’t realized how much time had passed. It was well into the evening now. There was a text from Michelle an hour ago, letting you know she’d left. And a few minutes ago, one from Nikki, a girl you partied with sometimes, that just said ‘Fuck them both!’
What the hell did that mean? Panic began to crawl up your throat and your hands started to shake as you typed your name into Google and clicked on News. Your stomach dropped. Johnny Storm, that snowboarder you’d barely dated over a year ago, apparently had a podcast now. And the latest episode, posted that day, featured Colin Shea as its guest. Shit. Fuck. You couldn’t even look at what they’d said. There was no point. It was all just the same old bullshit.
You felt tears start to prick at your eyes. Why couldn’t everyone just leave you the fuck alone? You weren’t even that interesting. How could they possibly have anything to talk about?
Fuck that, you thought, as you stormed back into your house. You distantly registered Curtis calling after you, but you didn’t pay any attention. You were too focused. You headed straight up to your bedroom. They wanted something to talk about? You’d fucking give it to them! You charged into your closet and grabbed the sluttiest, shiniest dress you had. Fuck yeah. You could do this. You would be exactly who they wanted you to be. If they wanted a show so fucking badly, you’d give them one.
You ran back downstairs, looking for a particular pair of earrings that a costar had given you as a wrap gift a couple of years ago – huge dangly ones that said Fuck on one ear and You on the other. There was nothing subtle about what you were going for tonight.
You’d have to think of someone to call, too. Someone suitable for the kind of scene you wanted to make, the kind of big mistake you wanted to fall into. You were so fucking tired of holding it all together. You were done. Your mind immediately landed on Lucas Lee, your costar in that dumb action movie last year. He was awful but so hot. Nothing but trouble and always up for whatever. Perfect.
As you entered your living room, your eyes landed on one of your jewelry boxes on the coffee table. There they were! As you picked up the box, you realized Curtis was sitting by himself on the couch. You saw him take in your short, sparkly dress and grimace. You weren’t in the mood to analyze it. “I’m going out,” you announced. “Have Jensen get the car ready.”
You were already moving through, headed back upstairs when you heard Curtis rasp, “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
You turned on a dime. “Excuse me?”
“I think,” he said slowly, so calmly you wanted to break something, “that going out right now, in the sort of mood you’re clearly in, would be a very bad idea.”
What the actual fuck? “Since when,” you asked, your voice quiet with seething anger, “is it your job to tell me what to do?”
He shook his head and you didn’t know how to react to how sad he looked. “I’m not telling you to do anything. I’m asking you to stay home tonight. For your own safety, which very much is my job.”
You just stared at him, dumbfounded. You didn’t understand him. He told you you weren’t friends. He was the one who said he was just your bodyguard. So what the hell was he doing now?
In the moment you stood frozen, just staring at him, he took a cautious step forward. “Did something happen?” he asked barely above a whisper.
You shook your head furiously. You felt like you could barely form words. You were so angry and lost, and scared, and sad, and confused. You were feeling more than you thought your body could contain. And you knew, you knew, the only way to get these feelings out would be to go out and get as wild as you could. And here Curtis was, not letting you. You were afraid you were going to explode. “That’s fine,” you finally got out, ignoring his question. “You don’t have to come with me. Jake neither. I’ll get a fucking Uber.” You took a step towards the opening of the room. “Go home Jake!” you shouted through the house. “I won’t need you tonight!”
Curtis sighed your name. “I’m not going to let you go out by yourself,” he said firmly.
You threw your hands in the air. “Then make up your goddamn mind!”
Jake appeared in the doorway, looking confused and Curtis turned to him. You took the opportunity to get back to the safety of your room, leaving your security detail to figure their shit out. Once back in your room, you dug through the jewelry box until you found the earrings you were looking for. You heard your back door open and close. Good. Jake, at least, was gone. You knew Curtis would be harder, but you were fucking determined.
Just as you were opening Uber on your phone, Curtis appeared in your doorway. “What,” you growled.
“Would you just listen to me for a minute?!” He said, not quite a yell, but not not that either, as he barged into your room. All of his practiced calm from downstairs was completely gone. “Something bad is going to happen if you go out tonight! It is, I know it is. And I know you can feel it too!”
“Why do you care?!” You shouted at him. “No one else does! Why do you care so much?!”
“You know why!” he shouted back, and took another step toward you, but then suddenly stopped. Much, much quieter, much softer, and with eyes so pleading, he said “You must know.”
You didn’t. You really don’t think you knew until that moment, when the realization slammed into you. Every look, every sigh, all of the moments of him that hadn’t made sense. You took a step back. “What?” you breathed, barely realizing that you were shaking.
He took a step forward to follow you, then stopped. He opened his mouth to say something, but you shook your head at him. “No,” you said. “You can’t.”
“I can’t?!” he asked, incredulous and upset again.
“No!” you shouted, but it was so much weaker now. “I just– Why would– I’m such a fucking mess!” You were starting to cry, the adrenaline of the last half-hour finally leaking out of you, replaced by that same bone-deep exhaustion that you’d had for too long. “I barely have a high school education. I don’t know how to do anything for myself. No one wants to work with me. I am barely keeping it together and everyone knows it. I’m a trainwreck! Why would you–” You couldn’t bring yourself to say the words that you knew he meant. “Why would you have feelings for someone like that?”
The sadness was back in his face. You looked away, unable to bear it. In your periphery, you saw him take a cautious step forward, then pause. When you made no move to run, he eliminated the distance between you, standing directly in front of you. He slowly, gently, carefully brought one hand up to touch your face, caressing your cheek with his thumb. “I know,” he said, voice barely above a whisper. “I know all that and I still love you. Because I also know that somehow, despite everything, you are one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. You are so kind. And thoughtful. You let everyone see your soft spots, even when all they do is hurt you. You have every reason to be awful or bitter or mean or any of a thousand things. But you aren’t. It’s all of it, it’s all of those things and the ones you said too. All of it together, that’s why I love you. I love you because you’re you.”
You wanted to sob. No one had ever said anything remotely like that to you before. Not anyone in your family, or a single one of your exes. No one had ever cared enough to say any of that. Except for Curtis. He’d always cared, hadn’t he? Since that first day he’d showed up, when you’d been so scared about the possibility of a stalker, he’d taken such care with you. He was the most caring, thoughtful, beautiful person you knew. You took a deep breath and looked into his eyes. You could see his worry, but also the deep conviction with which he’d just said all that to you. You couldn’t help yourself anymore. You surged forward and you kissed him.
He made a noise of surprise—you didn’t know how he could possibly be surprised after all that—but after just a moment he was kissing you back, bringing both hands up to cradle your head. You were getting your tears all over him, but he didn’t seem to care. He was soft and gentle and passionate. You needed more. You needed all of him.
You took a step back, breaking the kiss. You did what you could to brush the tears off your face. You grabbed the bottom of your dress and pulled it over your head, then tossed it on the floor. You stood in front of him in the lingerie you’d picked out to fuck Lucas Lee of all people and couldn’t understand how you’d ever been able to think about anyone but Curtis. But you did know how when you stopped to think about it. You’d never been able to fathom that you might deserve this man. That he might actually want you.
He stared at you. “Fuck,” he whispered. “You’re–” you braced yourself for what might come next. So hot or fucking sexy. You’d even gotten beautiful once or twice. He only took a second before he finished his sentence “–incredible,” with such awe on his face that you actually felt your knees go weak. You had to look away. He was too much.
He took your face in his hands again and placed a soft, short kiss on your lips. “But would it be ok if we slowed down?” he asked.
You couldn’t keep the disappointment out of your voice. “Why?”
“This is real for me,” he said. “And if we do this, I want it to be real for you too. I want you to be sure. And for now,” he stroked one thumb over your cheekbone, “right now I just want to hold you. Is that alright? If I just hold you tonight?”
You didn’t know how to respond to that. Sex had always been the best, most important part of any of your relationships. It’d been the biggest thing that any of your previous partners had wanted from you. You weren’t sure you knew how to do it any other way. But he was holding you so gently, looking at you so softly, all you could do was nod.
He kissed you once more. Then stepped back and started to take off his clothes. You made your way to your bed and got in, watching him as he shed his clothes. He really was the most beautiful man you’d ever seen. Nothing on any movie set you’d ever been on, any party you’d ever been to could compare to him.
Once he was down to just his boxers, he crawled in next to you and pulled you close. Your lips touched his shoulder as you asked, barely audible, “You really love me?”
He kissed your forehead. “Yes,” he whispered. “I really love you.”

“She ran?”
“Yeah, she looked out of it. I know she and Eddie smoke weed, but this wasn’t like that…” Max trailed off, she was finding it hard to describe what she saw.
“Wait, wait. Y/N and Eddie?” Dustin stood up, moving in front of Max.
“Out of everything I just said, that’s what concerns you? Really, Dustin?” Max rolled her eyes.
He paused. “It’s just Eddie’s one of my best friends, and he’s never talked about her before.”
Max shrugged. “They’re always sitting together, smoking weed at midnight at the bench by our trailers.”
“Why is she at the trailer park at midnight?”
“Because she lives there? What's with the 20 questions? She’s your friend too! Shouldn’t you know all this, especially with Steve’s obsession with her?”
Dustin shrugged. “They don’t talk anymore. Something happened.” He grabbed his backpack. “She’s a touchy subject for him.”
Max stood up. “Where are we going?”
“To Family Video”
—
“Holy shit” Robin’s eyes widened at the sight on the TV
“We have a situation” Dustin’s voice boomed as he pushed open the front door to Family Video, Max trailing behind him
“A bigger situation than a Hawkins teen getting murdered” Robin pointed towards the TV
Max and Dustin gave each other a knowing look
“What? What was the look for?” Steve questioned
“It's about that”
“What did you do?” Robin moved towards the counter
“Tell them, i'm going to set up shop”
And she did, she told them about Eddie arriving with Chrissy instead of his usual routine of smoking weed with y/n, Steve's eyes widened at that, and his heart almost beat out of his chest when she told him about y/n once again just running away, that wasnt like you. You were never run to one away from anything let alone someone you loved and he knew you loved Max.
“Why was she in the trailer park?” Robins eyebrows furrowed
Max rolled her eyes “You guys are shitty friends, she lives there, right beside Eddie”
“Max” Dustin warned
“How could you guys not know that, especially you” Her eyes darted to Steve “Aren't you two like in love” her hands placed on her hips
“Okay enough of that, Y/n doesn’t talk to us anymore, after Starcourt she just went a-whol” Robin groaned “You think she had something to do with this?”
“Absolutely not” Steve was quick to come to your defence
“We can't rule it out Steve, she's not the same y/n she was last year”
Max shook her head “She wasn't with Eddie when he left, he wouldn’t have left her behind if she was, they're like this” Max crossed her fingers.
Steve felt his heart break, knowing you replaced him with Eddie before the two of you even got a chance, like he meant nothing to you.
“She went up to the trailer after he left, she almost fell down his steps and she just collapsed to the ground. When I went outside to check on her she looked like she was going to say something but i'll never forget the look in her eyes… she was scared, like terrified and she just shook her head and ran”
“I think if we can find Eddie we can find…”
The bell above the door jingled, cutting Dustin off, all eyes darted to the door. The last person any of them expected walked through.
You
–
You felt like you were being chased. Something was following you, stalking you but you couldn't see it, it wasn't here, in your world. It was creeping up on you from the upside down. You didn't know how but you knew at this point anything was possible.
But you wanted to doubt it, you didn't wanna believe it because then that means Hopper died for nothing, Billy sacrificed himself for nothing. Because the gate had to be closed, right? That didn't mean that the upside down still wasn't there though, you knew it was always gonna be there lurking beneath, within Hawkins.
You didn't know what to do. Didn't know where to go, you most certainly were under no circumstances going back to the trailer park, it was daytime now, it had to be early afternoon that place surely would be crawling with cops by now, you spent all night hiding out at Skull Rock, part of you hoping for some reason hoped Steve would show up that he would sense you were here and he would come be your night and shining armour.
That you would feel his arms wrap around you, it would feel like a home you could have had, one you almost did but you set it on fire before it finished being built. You shook your head because it was for the best, you never deserved him.
But you wanted to find Eddie, you needed to because he would do the same for you. You knew one place he would be but half way there you could feel it.
Sense it, whatever it was, the hairs on your neck stood up and then you picked up the pace, each leaf crumbling under your heavy steps, each twig snapping making you hug yourself tighter till, your foot got caught on a log sending you tumbling down a hill.
Your clothes were ripped and torn, a throbbing coming from your head no doubt bleeding from a rock on the way down. You groaned standing up but when you did, everything was different. It was dark when mere seconds ago the spring sun was shining above you.
“Wha..” you mumbled to yourself, spinning in circles “No no no…”
“Y/N”
You turned around finding the voice, something was lurking in the distance, you backed into a tree, your body was shaking, squeezing your eyes shut.
“It's almost time, almost time to join me, join us”
Your chest was rising and falling rapidly, keeping your hands flat against the tree to steady yourself, you waited.
And waited for something, anything to happen and when whatever you were anticipating never came you opened your eyes and you were back.
You didn't waste a second before running to the one place you knew you could find help.
Family Video
—
The bell above the door jingled as you burst into Family Video. Everyone turned to face you, their expressions a mix of surprise and concern.
“Y/n?” Robin’s voice was gentle, her eyes filled with worry.
You looked past everyone, your eyes staring right into Robins, you were out of breath, panting your voice barley above a whisper “Did you mean it? W-what you said earlier?”
Robin frantically shook her head up and down “Yes of course, were always going to be here for you, trauma bond and all” She gave you a soft smile
If Steve thought his heart was beating hard before he was in for a reality check because all he could hear was the thumping of his heart.
You nodded frantically, looking over your shoulder. Steve watched your hand shakily wipe away the stray tears rolling down your face “Okay”
“Okay” Robin nodded
“Y/n?” You jumped at the sound of Max's voice coming from beside you, almost taking down the shelf of VHS beside you.
“Woah hey” Steve finally stepped forward “You’re okay, okay?”
When your eyes met his, it was like he was falling in love with you all over again but at the same time he wasn't sure how much more his heart could take seeing you like this. He swore he would always protect you and he wasn't going to fail you this time.
“Okay” You nodded, your lip trembling. You didn't believe him, you somehow knew it wasn't going to work out this time, not for you at least but you were going to do everything in your power to make sure it did for him.
“You wanna tell us what happened?” Robin asked gently
“We should get her cleaned up first” Max added, all of them really taking in your appearance. Your hair was messy like it hadnt been brushed in 48 hours, you had a rip at your shoulder, your pants had holes in both knees, blood seeping through, a cut on your cheek, accompanied by dark circles under your eyes and eyes that looked like they saw something no one ever should.
Steve didn’t hesitate flipping the sign from ‘open’ to ‘close’ grabbing his keys, opening the door “My house, lets go” He spoke to everyone.
—
Steve pushed the front door open, ushering everybody in, motioning for y/n to go in first, walking closely at her heels, afraid she would suddenly run off, something he seemed to expect from her at this point.
Everyone took a seat in various places around the living room whilst Steve took your hand in his leading you up the stairs and into his bathroom. He ushered you to sit on the closed toilet seat as he searched in cupboards and drawers for any medical supplies, when he found the rubbing alcohol he walked over to you, kneeling on the floor at your feet. Your leg was bouncing up and down as you mindlessly picked the skin at your nails.
“Hey” Steve spoke softly, placing his hand cautiously on your knee to stop the bouncing, your eyes zeroed in on him “I need you to stay still okay?”
You nodded, trying to steady your breathing. Steve gently took your hand in his, pulling it away from your nails.
“This might sting a bit,” he warned, pouring a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a cotton pad. He dabbed it on the cuts and scrapes on your arms, his touch gentle yet firm. You winced, but stayed still, focusing on his steady presence.
“Can you tell me what happened?” Steve asked, his voice low and calming.
You took a deep breath, your voice shaky. “It’s… it’s hard to explain. Something was chasing me, but I couldn’t see it. It felt like it was coming from the Upside Down.”
Steve’s hand paused for a moment before he continued cleaning your wounds. “The Upside Down? Are you sure?”
You nodded frantically. “I don’t know how, but I know it’s there. It’s like… like the gate never really closed. It’s still lurking, and I could feel it.” Tears welled up in your eyes. “I don’t know what to do, Steve.”
Steve’s heart ached seeing you so scared. He finished bandaging your arm and stood up, pulling you into a tight embrace. “We’ll figure it out. You’re not alone in this. We’ll find Eddie and get to the bottom of this, okay?”
You nodded against his chest, the warmth of his embrace providing a small comfort amidst the fear and confusion. For the first time in what felt like ages, you allowed yourself to believe that maybe, just maybe, things could get better.
—
Steve's house was quiet as everyone settled in. You sat on the couch, a blanket wrapped around you, trying to steady your trembling hands. The warmth of the blanket and the familiar surroundings brought a small measure of comfort, but your mind was still racing.
Robin handed you a cup of water, her eyes full of concern. "Take your time, Y/n. We're here."
You took a deep breath, the cold cup of water, soothing your dry throat “I... I think the gate might be open again," you began, your voice barely above a whisper. "Something's wrong. I can feel it. I saw it."
Dustin's eyes widened. "Are you sure? I mean, it could be PTSD or something."
You shook your head. "No, Dustin. I know it sounds crazy, but I was in the Upside Down for a moment. I saw it, felt it."
Steve sat down beside you, his hand gently squeezing yours. "We believe you, Y/n. We just need to figure out what to do next."
Max looked thoughtful. "If the gate is open, we need to find Eddie. He might know something.” She paused “I told you whatever he was running from, scared the living shit out of him”
Dustin nodded. "Yeah, and we need to get the gang back together. We can't handle this alone."
Robin glanced at Steve. "You think we should call Nancy and Lucas?"
Steve nodded, walking towards his phone.
Dustin piped up "We should try Will too”
—
By evening, everyone had gathered at Steve's house. Nancy and Lucas had joined everyone. The living room was packed, the air heavy with a sense of urgency.
Nancy was the first to speak. "Okay, let's lay out what we know. Y/n thinks the gate might be open again. We need to confirm that and find Eddie."
Steve nodded. "We need to be careful. If the gate is open, who knows what might come through this time."
Nancy looked at you, her eyes kind but serious. "Y/n, can you show us where you were when you felt the Upside Down?"
You nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "Yes, I can. It was near Skull Rock."
Steve stood up, his expression resolute. "Then that's where we start. Let's move."

Thoughts on The Boy Next World Trailer
Okay I'm counting TBNW releasing on Jan. 5th as an early bday gift for me. I'm excited to explore the multiverse. I'm glad they fixed Noeul's hair from the pilot and I'm glad they didn't dye it the usual 'Bottom Brown'.
I'm glad Boss continues to play cool characters and Cir pairs well with cutesy kind of guy Noeul's character Phugun is going to be. EXCITED to see Noeul with stuffies, cute toys, and sweaters he's going to look so adorbs. Also did I mention how beautiful they look?? And DID I SEE THE PAYU BUN IN THE TITLE CARD SCENE?
The plot looks interesting and we'll get to see CirPhugun fall in love more than once. I can tell MAME and MeMindY took their time with this series like they did Love Sea and I can tell the LITA money went into the production for it because it looks EXPENSIVELY good. I'm looking forward to the costuming and set designs a lot.
The snippet of a love scene we got has me pumped because there is LIFTING! MAME knows how much we love LIFTING. Has Boss been working out more?? He looks so big...I mean he's always been BIG but wow. Looking forward to seeing their insane chemistry I have missed so much.
MAME seems to be growing as a showrunner and writer. Her series have become more interesting plot wise and she's making likeable characters. She's still making them toxic but finely tuned toxic in a way that doesn't downgrade the characters in our eyes. But idk this series is leaning towards the non-toxic side along with Wedding Plan.
We haven't seen BossNoeul together as mains for over 2 yrs now and I'm excited to see their growth. They've been given such a complex plot and I know they're ready for it. I can't WAIT to make this series my whole personality!

Steddie Upside-Down AU Part 46
Part 1 Part 45
Hopper’s idling by the trailer when Steve and Eddie exit on the way to school the next morning. Eddie’s forehead immediately breaks out in anxiety-sweats. He stumbles back a step on instinct, arm up to waylay Steve. Nothing good ever came from the Chief of Police loitering in front of a drug dealer’s trailer.
Hopper cranks his window down, leaning out enough to stick his head partially out, and shouts over at them, “you cleared to go to school already, Harrington?”
Eddie drops his arm – threat categorized, acknowledged, and discarded. Steve steps over the threshold and down the front steps, each foot placed carefully, lest he stumble in front of Hopper.
“It’s fine,” Steve says, like he always does.
“Your doctor say that?”
Steve shifts his eyes toward Eddie, like he’s begging for help. Eddie clears his throat, pointedly not curling his shoulders in when Hopper shifts his glare over to him. “He went yesterday,” he calls over, like a chump. Because what his majesty wants, Eddie will provide.
Hopper raises his eyebrows, letting them stew in the silence as he keeps his eyes trained on Eddie. Weakest link sighted. And just like every time he finds himself in this standoff with the bane of his existence, he folds. “He’s not supposed to go back until Monday!”
“Munson!” Steve grouses. Eddie’s guts churn at being last-named again.
“But” Eddie starts, waving his hand in Steve’s face like that’ll buy him a few more seconds of grace. “You gotta let him go, Hopper.”
“I don’t have to do anything,” he grouses, still glaring into Eddie’s eyes.
Eddie fidgets, hoping Steve won’t be too pissed off. “Harrington here’s a flight risk,” he says, patting his head lightly, like a dog who’s just performed a marvelous trick. “You don’t give him something to do? We might never see him again.”
Steve scoffs, but notably doesn’t pull away from Eddie’s hand or refute his point.
Hopper continues glaring at both of them before sighing out like a beleaguered dog and rolls up his window. He doesn’t drive away. “Is that–” Steve starts, squinting at Hopper through his now-closed window. “Is that permission?”
“We don’t beg for permission, Stevie.” Eddie trails his hand through Steve’s peach-fuzz hair before skipping over to where his van’s parked, knowing without looking that Steve’s following him. He slides into the driver’s seat, waits for Steve to slide in as well before turning the key in the ignition. “We don’t even ask for forgiveness.”
He smiles over at Steve, cheeks hurting from the force of it. He feels like he’s just taken three shots of espresso, back to back to back. Steve smiles over at him, small but real, eyes shining in the morning sun. His hair glows golden in the sunlight, and his skin, still slightly sallow, is flushed pink in the cheeks.
“We don’t?” Steve asks quietly. He sounds excited. Like a kid told he’d get to open his birthday presents early.
Eddie’s endeared, any reluctance drained out of him around the second time Steve Harrington had saved his life. “Naw.” He reaches over, patting Steve’s knee, not letting his fingers linger like they want to. He cranks the engine, Black Sabbath booming from the speakers until Steve turns it down a few notches. “That’s for squares. And you, Steve Harrington, are a certified badass.”
Steve’s smiling out the window when Eddie glances over, watching trailers pass by. Electric Funeral turns over to War Pigs. Eddie sings along quietly as Steve bops his head along to a beat he doesn’t even know.
Hopper follows them all the way to school, his truck idling at the curb until Eddie pulls into a spot and takes out the key. Neither of them mention anything.
School passes in a mindless haze. Eddie listens to lectures on calculus and geography and the themes in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, lets it all fly over his head. Not even in one ear and out the other – that implies it went into his brain at all.
Jeff gives him dirty looks throughout calc, like he can tell Eddie’s checked out past the point of return and is feeling a sense of paternal disappointment over his lack of work ethic.
Eddie’d checked out long before Demogorgon’s and Demon Worlds made an appearance in his life. Now, class feels like biding time until he can get Steve back in his sights. Graduating feels like another step away from Harrington that he doesn’t want to take.
So he sits and stews and ignores Jeff’s disappointed eyes, and regrets that Steve’s a year below him and not smart enough to pass calc either.
Seeing him walk into lunch is a religious experience. Eddie sighs into his suspicious casserole, staring at Steve with reverence. He’s talking to Barb quietly, standing beside her in the lunch line.
Steve laughs at something she says, and Eddie swears he can almost hear it across the cacophony of the lunchroom rush.
“Dude,” Gareth says from beside him.
Eddie jumps, whipping his head over to where Gareth had snuck up on him. “When did you get here?” he hisses, narrowing his eyes.
Gareth stares back, deadpan. Eddie misses when his little sheep were at least a little bit afraid of him. Honestly, the gall. “I was here before you sat down.”
Ah, well. Eddie hunches, looking around the table that’s seemingly filled in around him. “So?”
Gareth leans closer, keeping his voice lowered. “Are you, like in love with Harrington?” Gareth asks, voice quiet enough for discretion even as it lentils up harshly at the end.
“No, shut up!” Eddie hisses back, but something restless and wanting unfurls as the fishhook in his ribs slackens with Steve’s approach. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!
“—could help you,” Barb is saying, inexplicably sitting at the wrong freaks and geeks table again. Clearly, there’s still trouble in paradise. “I’m free Thursday’s after school.”
Steve slides in next to Eddie, matching suspect casserole to Eddie’s own. He doesn’t look away from his conversation from Barb, but he slides his knee into Eddie’s, easy like breathing. Even easier, with Steve’s track record of not doing that.
“Really?” Steve asks, leaning toward her over the table.
Barb shrugs, nonchalantly, pulling that same bagged sandwich from her bag to munch on. “Sure, why not?”
She says it like it’s nothing, but Steve exhales like the world just stopped ending. “Thanks,” he sighs. “I’m just so behind, and my Dad–” he cuts off, shoves a forkful of slop in his mouth like that’s the reason for the pause. “I just don’t want to be held back.”
Jeff, the traitor, looks over to Barbara and unhelpfully contributes, “are you guys planning a study group?” he asks, continuing before she has a chance, “because this one could use a little of that.”
Eddie doesn’t let anyone else get in a word. “I can’t Jeffery,” Eddie sneers. “Thursday is Hellfire.”
Steve furrows his eyebrows like he’s thinking deeply, starts, “we could maybe do it on Wed—”
“That’s fine!” Eddie says. “I’m doing fine!”
He glares around at the table, daring anyone to say anything. Jeff scoffs, and Steve still looks worried, but no one says anything. Study group is born, and Eddie’s plans are finalized: his graduating class will be moving on without him.
He only hopes Wayne understands.

Curtains Closed
Summary:
Warnings: Heartbreaking angst I’m so sorry, cursing but I think that’s everything
Author’s Note: I am so sorry this is so sad fhskghs but i loved writing this request !! Please send me any more that you may be thinking of and I’ll do my best
The set is bustling by the time you get there, crew and cast dotted around everywhere all preparing to film and refilm scenes. This was the first time that you’d been able to make the visit, and yet Drew had been filming here for at least a month. It was a new film he was working on, but with you filming recently too, it felt like your paths just weren’t crossing.
“Hey (Y/N)!” One of the assistants smiles when she sees you, “His trailer is just over there.”
You thank her and turn in the direction of Drew’s trailer, where his character’s name is printed on a sheet of paper in the window. You knock and wait, almost nervously, for the door to open. You always felt nervous when you went weeks without seeing him properly, even a year into your relationship, that hadn’t changed.
It takes a few seconds before he comes to the door, swinging it open exaggeratively. His hair is messy and his top splashed with patches of water, a grin on his face.
“Hey baby!” Drew grins, though the moment stops quickly when he’s shot at with another spray of water, “You bitch!”
Your heart feels like it sinks for just a second, enough for you to notice. He hadn’t thought to kiss you when he saw you, not even reach out and wrap you in his arms.
“Sorry, sorry, come in,” He encourages, stepping out of the way for you to step through.
In the trailer, he’s joined by his costar, who you knew was called Emily. She was a beautiful girl, being a model before she’d become an actress, and she played his love interest in the film.
“Hey, you must be (Y/N) right?” Emily grins, holding a water gun in her hand that is still pointed at Drew.
“Yeah, it’s nice to meet you Emily.”
She doesn’t respond to you, instead squealing as Drew shoots her back, spraying her hair on either side of her face.
“So, how’s filming going?” You ask, sitting on the sofa across from Emily.
When Drew sits down, he takes the seat next to her.
“It’s good,” Drew nods, “We finished pretty early today, always easy doing scenes with Emily, you know?”
“Yeah, of course,” Emily grins, “We’re like a dream team on set.”
Your words seem to fail you, and you’re not sure why your chest feels so tight. This was stupid, right? They worked together, they were friends, it was good that Drew was working with someone that he got on well with. But that’s how it was when you two first got together, and part of you felt a sinking feeling that your instincts hadn’t failed you here.
“So where were you thinking of going tonight?” Drew asks, kicking his feet up onto the coffee table between the two couches.
You swallow the lump in your throat to respond but Emily cuts in quickly.
“Ooh why don’t you go to that Thai place we went to?” She suggests, and you’re sure that she has shuffled closer to Drew on the sofa.
“Yeah, we could do, it was so good,” Drew nods, “Me and Em went last week, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so much in my life.”
The lump is back in your throat, “Yeah, sure, whatever you fancy.”
~~~
That night, you and Drew decided to order food in instead of going out, after you’d told him that you didn’t feel well. He’d eaten three slices of your pizza when you told him that you couldn’t finish it. And he had believed you when you told him there was nothing else that was wrong.
You were both in the kitchen now, washing up the plates you’d used for your food.
“So, Emily seems nice,” You nod, dragging the kitchen towel over your plate.
“Yeah, she’s great, right?” Drew smiles, “We just have such a laugh on set, genuinely I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much.”
You felt like you could cry in that moment, not just from that comment but from the way his eyes seemed so bright when he spoke about her, the way you felt like his eyes hadn’t been on yours as much as normal.
He hands you the last plate and shakes his hands off into the water, taking one side of the towel in your hands to dry his off.
“Hey,” He takes it out of your hands and sets it down, wrapping his arms around your waist, “It’s good to properly see you again.”
You force yourself to smile, setting a hand on his chest.
I mean it, I feel like we’ve both been way too busy recently,” He nods, “It’s good for us to have days like this.”
You still can’t force your body to bring out any words, just looking at the boy in front of you like you’d never seen him before.
“Hey?” Drew dips his tall figure down to try and catch your eyes, “This is good, right?”
“Yeah, yeah, of course,” You smile and he kisses your cheek, releasing his arms from around you.
Your heart feels heavy and empty all at once, your mind running a thousand thoughts and thinking of nothing at all. When he walks off to disappear into the lounge, you feel like a part of you disappears with him.
~~~
That night, you both get ready for bed like you normally do. You brush your teeth together and he goes into the bedroom whilst you’re washing your face. It’s all the routine that you’re used to, and when you shut off the ensuite light, he’s already sat propped up against the headboard, scrolling through his phone. You’re still wearing one of his tops to bed, another piece of normality that it felt comforting to keep.
“Drew, can I ask you something?” You ask cautiously, hovering by the side of the bed like you’re worried about getting in.
“Sure, what is it?” He shuts off his phone screen and puts it on the bedside table.
“Do you think things are still the same between us when we don’t see each other as much? You know, like when we’re both so busy?”
You watch the way his face drops a little, “What are you talking about?”
“I mean… we’ve just both been so busy recently.”
“Yeah, and we make it work,” He continues, “We still text, we call, and it’s only been a few weeks, we’ve done worse.”
You drag a hand through your hair, pulling out one of the tangles to distract yourself, “I don’t-“
“What is this (Y/N)?” He shakes his head, “Is there something you need to tell me?”
“I just,” You take a deep breath, if you don’t say it now you never will, “I saw you with Emily today and I-“
“This is about Emily?” He sits up straighter, “Are you kidding?”
“Why didn’t you tell me that you two went to dinner together?”
His words fail him and it’s like you can see the confidence crumble just a little, “I don’t-“
“Is it because you knew that it would look weird? For you two to just be going out together?” You continue, a new sense of confidence fuelling your words, “If you didn’t think it was weird, you would’ve told me. We talk everyday Drew. What excuse did you come out with?Or did you just hope that I wouldn’t ask?”
“I just told you I was going out with the cast, it was last Friday,” He admits, as if he’s just been caught in the act completely.
Your heart sinks, “So you lied to me.”
“I didn’t lie to you, I mean, it wasn’t like that,” He scrambles, standing up now so that both of you were on either side of the bed now, too much and too little space between you all at once, “I just knew how you’d think it looked, and we hadn’t seen each other in a couple of weeks, and you were busy with work, and I just didn’t want you to worry.”
“So I’m busy working, and you’re out on dates with a girl I hadn’t even met before?!”
“No, no, no, don’t be like that!” He seems more aggressive now, “It wasn’t a fucking date, okay? We’re friends.”
“Friends? Because she’s just so funny, and you’re fighting in your trailer, and you’re sat next to her, and you’re doing everything with her?”
“I’m sat next to her?” He half-laughs, “So you’re noting down where I sit now?”
“But it’s not just that, is it, Drew? I haven’t seen you in weeks and you didn’t even care! It could’ve been anyone walking through the door and you’d have had the same reaction! It’s like I was fucking interrupting!” You are waving your arms around as you speak, the way Drew knew you only did when you were getting angrier.
“You weren’t fucking interrupting,” He shakes his head, “But if you don’t trust me in that then maybe this is more of an issue than just Emily. What else, (Y/N)?”
You look at him there, his features darkened by the lack of light in your bedroom. He’s more toned than ever for this role, the muscles of his abs dipping in and out of his stomach and casting small shadows over his torso, his arms larger and his shoulders broader. If you looked for long enough, it felt like he was completely different. But his eyes were still yours, in the way they creased when you made him laugh, and the way his dimples hooked either side of his lips when he saw you happy. But this time it felt tainted, your mind overloading with thoughts of him giving the same eyes, the same smile, the same dimples to her.
“I don’t know if I can do this, Drew,” You whisper the words, uncertain of how they’ll sit in the air between you.
“What does that mean?” He shakes his head, the fury in him settling down into worry.
You’re silent, complete silence between the two of you.
“Let’s just go to bed, okay? We’re just tired,” Drew states, convincing himself along with you, “We’re not thinking straight, this isn’t us. Let’s just go to sleep, and we’ll wake up, and we’ll be fine, okay?”
You don’t reply.
“I’m sorry for raising my voice, okay?”
“Okay,” You croak out, your eyes threatening to spill unforgiving tears.
He takes a deep breath and gets back into bed, pulling down the sheets on your side. You follow suit, climbing in beside him and pulling the sheets high up over you as if a shield from the argument that still lingered in the air. Drew dips an arm beneath your back and pulls you into him, another piece of normality he seemed reluctant to give up. His body is warm but it feels too warm beneath your skin, burning into you just a little. His chest rises and falls but it’s not in the same rhythm, his heart slowing down as yours still felt like it was racing.
Eventually, you’re sure that he has fallen asleep, and you stay awake for far too much time after, your eyes staring at the closed curtains on the other side of the room, willing for the light to come through.
~~~
The following morning, you’re awake before he is, though you’re sure that you hadn’t had more than a couple of hours sleep the night before.
It’s cold in the apartment, like an air of the inevitable had settled over everything that the two of you had. When Drew wakes up, you’re sat with your feet and knees tucked up to you on the sofa, your hands around yourself.
“Morning,” He says, his voice still sleepy and thick, joggers hanging low on his hips, forcing the V-line of his torso to poke out.
You look up and offer him a small smile, the biggest that your lack of energy can muster.
“Did you sleep okay?”
He regrets the question almost as soon as it is said, as if he’d just asked you the worst thing possible in the moment. Instead, he walks over the short distance to you and sits down, close to you on the sofa like he wants to draw you into him.
“Listen, (Y/N),” He begins, “I know things aren’t ideal. We’re both busy, we’re working in different places, different hours, and it’s not going to end any time soon. But we can make this work, okay? We can change things. I’m going to tell you everything, I’m not going to lie to you, I’ll make sure I have more days off and I can come and visit you, and we can facetime more instead of just calling,” He pauses to take a breath, “We can fight for this (Y/N).”
“I don’t know how much longer I can just keep fighting, Drew,” Your voice is croaky, threatening to break.
“But this is us, baby, we can’t lose this,” He sits himself closer to you, though avoiding contact like he is afraid you’ll shatter in front of his eyes.
“Drew, listen,” You let yourself breathe for a moment, “This has worked for us, it has. We’ve always made it work. But, right now, it doesn’t feel like that anymore. We’re in different places, and this time it was only weeks, next time it might be a couple of months. You’ll go on press for the film, I’ll be here. I don’t know how much we can keep doing that.”
“We can try, can’t we?”
“I’ve never seen you with anyone and felt the way I did yesterday, I saw you with Emily and I felt like a completely different person, like I was this jealous and overthinking version of myself, and I don’t want to be that. I don’t want to see you after weeks and just argue with you,” You’re speaking through tears that you are fighting back, “This isn’t us, you said it last night. But if we stay together now, this is what we’re going to be, and I don’t want you to be someone I end up hating.”
Drew’s silent, staring at you like he’s hoping he’ll wake up from a nightmare.
“So I think we need to break up,” You choke through the words, though they feel cold as they leave your lips.
“(Y/N) please,” He whispers, tears spilling over his eyelashes.
“I can’t fight for this anymore Drew,” You shake your head and your tears fall too now, staining your cheeks as they do.
He moves forward and grips your hands, pulling them into the middle of his larger palms and bringing them to his lips. You drop your head forward and press your forehead to his. His tears drop down and mix with yours over your tangle of hands, neither of you wanting to move as if moving would solidify what had just been finalised already.
“I’m never not going to love you, (Y/N).”
You nod against his chest, “Then you’ll go, and I’ll stay, and we’ll find our way back.”
(((Adding a normal people reference so that you don’t all hate me for breaking your hearts xoxo)))
