I finished season 1 of Vrains and it was cool but I thought it needed about 2 billion more secret identity shenanigans

So I went into a deep dive in my last two posts (1, 2) about all the problems I had with Vrains, and you'd think I didn't enjoy it, but in fact as I was watching, there was a separate, parallel version of Vrains that was playing in my head, a Yugioh I think we were robbed of and which fixes every problem I had with the first season, and that is Secret Identities AU.

Yusaku needs FRIENDS

This is YUGIOH.

This dynamic is everything I wanted from Vrains. Yusaku developing unexpected fondness for these bozos who think he needs a defense squad. I want Miraculous Ladybug levels of secret identity shenanigans. I want Yusaku slapping his duel disk every time Ai tries to blow their cover.

This AU sprung forth from the scene in the duel club where he shows Naoki his decoy deck. Having Yusaku passing as a bad duelist is 1) so funny, but 2) Yusaku needing to maintain his low profile is a useful contrivance for other characters to get more duels, and 3) I think it would be a really fun one-off episode where Yusaku has to duel using his bad deck. When he wins, Naoki is so proud he cries.

Having Yusaku actually have to interact with the other characters in the real world opens up Greek play levels of dramatic irony. The crux of a secret identity story is that every single interaction builds up anticipation, because you the viewer know that the other party is being deceived, and that the tension will snap when the secret is revealed.

I have zero anticipation about Playmaker's identity being revealed, because Aoi would be like "oh.... I guess he goes to my school" and Go would be like "have I seen that guy before?" But SIAU Playmaker? My guy is making friends just so he can betray them. Insane.

Go needs A ROLE IN THE STORY.

I said in my first post that Go isn't a rival or a best friend character. SIAU fixes this by making him both simultaneously.

Having him be the ace of the duel club is a natural replacement for his whole hero of the orphans schtick, while placing him directly the circle of relevance with the other characters. Instead of being disgruntled that the orphans suddenly like Playmaker more than him, he's disgruntled that Naoki and the duel club mooks are fawning over Playmaker -- which is actually just Naoki's character anyway.

I would kill for a big dramatic moment where Go learns that Playmaker and Yusaku are the same person, and even though Go feels betrayed that Yusaku has been deceiving him, he stands by Yusaku anyway because they're friends.

With a secret identity story, every conversation is working on multiple levels because each character is working with asymmetric information. You get these fascinating, layered scenes of two characters talking past each other because they cannot give up their secret.

Which would go especially hard with Go and Yusaku, because Go has legitimate criticisms of Playmaker in canon and Yusaku has legitimate reasoning behind the things he does, and as Go Onizuka and Playmaker they could never come to an understanding on them, but as Go and Yusaku, two friends in duel club, that door becomes open to them.

Aoi needs WRITING THAT ISN'T A TRAINWRECK

I made a whole post on this. Basically every problem would be solved if Akira doesn't know that she's Blue Angel. There's no reason for her to lose grotesquely against Yusaku, or have her basic autonomy called into question constantly. 

Having her actively deceive her brother is delicious. Like I said in my last post, it's so obvious how Akira's overprotectiveness has taken its toll on Aoi, and pushed her into developing this other persona, Blue Angel. I want this absolutely dysfunctional sibling relationship so badly. The Blue Angel vs. Zaizen duel would make me lose my mind.

And a secret identities setting works so well with the potential themes of VRAINS as a stand-in for the internet and Blue Angel as an idol. Give me that Perfect Blue Satoshi Kon good stuff. Give me those themes about identity, and the different lives we live, outward and inward, online and offline.

This also helps Akira's character, because I think he would be much more interesting and relevantly positioned in the story if he stayed a SOL Technologies baddie. SOL Technologies has very little presence in season 1 despite being critical to the story. After Zaizen is replaced by an irrelevant clown, they don't do anything but send out mook AIs to get destroyed. By having a three-way standoff between Yusaku's squad, the Knights of Hanoi, and SOL Technologies, both Hanoi and SOL Technologies become more compelling. They've both got all the reason in the world to want to take down the other. Zaizen vs. Revolver or Spectre? That's good shit.

And don't get me started on how I would turn Revolver into a Secret Identities character.

insurmountable love

[y/n] had always known about her importance to the sully family. she knew it when she was young, when she was just a toddler that managed to lift spirits when she waddled into the room. she knew it when each of her siblings fought for her attention with different games. she knew it when neteyam always seemed to come searching for her when he got sick of their father. she knew it when kiri shared her secrets with her. she knew it when lo’ak always invited her to join her in his rebellious shenanigans. she knew it when she held her baby sister for the first time.

she’d always known.

[y/n] felt her love for her family more than she’d felt anything in her life. no amount of anger, sadness, disappointment… none of it could top the amount of adoration she held for her mother, for her father, for her sisters and brothers.

but, [y/n] was starting to think, as she lay bleeding out on top of a rock in the middle of the ocean — in the middle of a home that wasn’t her’s — that maybe there was a reason she felt for much love.

“[y/n],” her brother’s voice brought her out of her thoughts. she stared into his eyes, although she kept fighting to urge to doze off. she was so tired. “[y/n], stay with me. okay, sis?” neteyam swallowed, fighting his tears. “lo’ak flagged mom and dad down. they are almost here, baby sis. they are almost here.”

“neteyam,” the younger sully whimpered. “neteyam, it hurts.”

“i know.” a glossy layer of liquid pooled in his eyes. “i know, but you are strong. you are strong, so just keep your eyes right on me."

his hand was warm against [y/n]’s cheek. her cupped her face softly, as if any rough movement might disintegrate her. but, he also couldn’t afford to let her go, for as soon as he let go… he feared she would be gone.

lo’ak watched beside them, hands pressing against [y/n]’s wound. tears flowed down his cheeks freely. it was his fault, it was his fault, it was all his fault. he couldn’t get it out of his head. if she dies, then he killed his baby sister.

lo’ak wanted so badly to talk to her, to offer support, to be the same brother that neteyam was, but lo’ak could never do that. he was scared, and he was a fraud. he acted high and mighty, he acted brave… and if he truly thought back to the history of his life, he only truly started pretending to be so courageous so that [y/n] would be impressed with him. so that his big sister would look up to him.

how ironic was it that, the moment she needed his strength, he couldn’t pretend anymore. he was a coward.

so, instead, lo’ak pushed against the bullet hole, blood staining his hands. the muffled sobs of tsireya were nearly drowned out by the chaotic scene around them, but lo’ak didn’t think he could ignore her cries in the same way that his heart panged at every pained noise that left [y/n].

it was only the sound of his parents’ arrival that either brother even dared to look up, but once they recognized their mother and father, eyes were set back on their baby sister.

tears fell from [y/n] eyes as she caught sight of jake. “dad,” she cried, nearly choking on her words. “dad, please.” she was begging, but she wasn’t sure what she was asking for. what could he do?

“hey, baby,” he whispered, kneeling next to her. “it’s okay. it’s okay, i’m here.” as jake attempted words of comfort, he picked up her feeble frame to check the exit wound, and his heart instantly dropped. his baby girl.

“dad, i’m scared,” she confessed. “i—i saw them. they were aiming at ‘teyam.” her words were growing thicker, voice stuck in her throat. lo’ak noticed [y/n] pulled her knees up at times, the pain causing her lower half to writhe.

“it’s okay, baby girl,” jake hushed. “it’s okay, you did everything right.”

“i didn’t want him hurt. i didn’t want him hurt, dad!” her pained sobs wavered. for some reason, she couldn’t be convinced — not in her delirious state — that she hadn’t made a terrible decision. she didn’t want to die with her father’s disappointment. disappointment that she put herself in danger. but she did it for her big brother.

in the chaos, none of them — tsireya and spider included, who also attempted to be helpful even though there wasn’t much that they could do — noticed the arrival of neytiri. not until her hushed voice of shock began mumbling, “no, oh no. not my sweet daughter.”

the na’vi mother rushed over, taking a spot between her two sons as she gauged the scene. her second youngest, hurt by the sky-people. her beautiful daughter, fighting death because of them.

[y/n] had faded to a silence at that point, the only noise being her whimpers of pain as she writhed. tears paved their way across the surface of her blue skin, and neytiri’s heart shattered.

but, despite all of it, despite the pain, the shock, the terrifying inevitability ( although they all denied it ) of her death… the worst part was when she opened her eyes wide and said, “i’m so scared.”

a beat of stunned, painful silence.

“i’m so scared. i don’t wanna die!” she whispered, looking into her father’s eyes. “please.”

and through his tears, jake gripped the hand of his second youngest and told her a kind lie. “i’m right here with you. you will be okay, baby girl. just hold on to us, okay?”

and to her credit, she did. through the pain, one hand held jake’s and the other held neytiri’s. the two brothers couldn’t do anything but watch helplessly, hands resting on her upper arms in an attempt to give her some form of strength.

and they stayed that way until the light left her eyes. the same light she’d carried since she was born, gone just like that.

maybe there was a reason she was full of so much love for her family. her theory… she was only destined to live so long, so eywa blessed her with an exuberant amount to enjoy for the thirteen years she was gifted.

The Loyal Pin - Episode 8

¡Sorpresa, cabronas! Blue Beauty Anin is back in the palace, and she is already causing issues for her color-coded brothers!

And for her Pink Person Pin!

So as much as I appreciate Anin being so focused on her studies, because she wanted to graduate early, I'm glad Pin called her out for not communicating and thinking this surprise would make her forget that she was basically ignored FOR MONTHS!

But thankfully Anin knows how to make it up to her (in bed) (THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!)

And now they can be color-coded girls in love and live happily ever after! Yes? YES!

Well, that's until Anin's color-coded brothers tell her she needs to start thinking about getting married . . . to a man.

But because this a GL, like queer magic, all the girls start showing up to Anin's yard for her milkshake like her sister-in-law with her sister, who just happens to be the girl who tried to assault Anin in her bed.

But nobody cares because Anin's color-coded brother and aunt (WHO IS WEARING PURPLE!) are planning a formal welcome back party for Anin which will literally bring all the girls to her yard for her milkshake (and other treats).

Anin is less than thrilled believing this is a ploy to get her to meet marriage prospects, but her brother promises that isn't what is happening.

All color-coded royals do is lie.

But our boy Pranot is going to make this party spectacular even if he has to hot glue and duct tape everything together by himself, and this is not me stereotyping the gays, but . . . . . . he has to be gay because only a gay man or a pageant mom could turn it out like this with such short notice.

So Pranot creates a party fit for color-coded royals overnight.

And the aunt, who is in her color (finally!) has the food covered.

But she can't stay, because she has a guest, in her house, waiting for her. *whispers* lesbian shenanigans are afoot

And to nobody's surprise, marriage prospects are at this party and lined up IN RED to greet our Blue Beauty. I know Pranot sent them a detailed document outlining the dress code, so if they were paying any attention, they would've known to wear BLUE to impress the princess and not RED to impress her siblings. Who do they want to marry?! Apparently not our lesbian!

Then Aon shows up looking like her and her sister thought this was a costume party and they are an orange and a cherry, which means the only time we have seen Aon is pink is when she was trying to slide into Anin's bed, and now she is on my list!

Sidenote: Is the brother's fiancée May from My Marvellous Dream is You and The Sign?! How did I miss that?! Obviously the outfit is doing it's job because it made me notice her in a room full of other beautiful women, so I'll quit hating on these fruity outfits now.

Actually, I won't because it's clear to me the two oranges from the orange tree belong together, so if Kuea really doesn't care about marrying a lesbian since he wants to Pin so badly, why not just marry another lesbian named Aon? Makes color-coded sense to me!

But then there is the issue of my babygirl Ueangfah who also showed up to Anin's yard party for her milkshake.

And because Anin is westernized now, she is white girl wasted, meaning she wants to make out with her girl anywhere and everywhere because eff decorum!

So Pin has to tie her up with a blue piece of fabric. (Where did this come from?!)

But it isn't for safety reasons. No! It's for ~kinky~ reasons.

And in the midst of some delightful girl-on-girl action, we get the rudest flashback to Anin's older brother checking on Anin since he was worried about her drinking, yet stumbling upon her exchanging colors and tongues with Pin, you know, like the French do.

So the episode ends with him finally realizing the big secret that everyone has been keeping from him including the servants -

Relationship Headcanons (Penguin, Shachi)

Penguin was the oldest of the original Heart Pirates quartet, he's always been the oldest even when it was just him and Shachi, before and after the tsunami that left them with Shachi's horrible, horrible relatives

It's made him protective over the people he holds dear, incredibly worrisome even if he tries to hide it, but also surprisingly nurturing for someone who seemingly goofs off as much as his counterpart does

He makes snacks, he checks up on the crew, and has a bad habit of taking too much onto himself, although not nearly as badly as the notorious Heart captain, Penguin still struggles with that "eldest sibling" mentality even if most of the crew is quite a bit older than him; he vehemently denies any teasing you or the crew give him about passing on those traits to Law

When it comes to you, Pen likes to keep a close eye on you even when things are calm and everyone's having fun, not that he doesn't trust you to take care of yourself, but he'd just like to make sure no one's getting hurt or too carried away when his crew mates' usual brand of shenanigans kick into high gear

There's a cute kind of shyness when he opens up to you for the first time; yeah agreeing to being in a relationship is one thing but it's another to actually know the person you love and with Penguin, it's tentative, almost scared, but genuine

He's hesitant to let you come too close at first, become too physical, an insecurity that you do your best to quell but it isn't easy, Pen's become used to protecting himself and his own so much that vulnerability is alien

Being topless with the guys on the Tang's deck, whacking each other on the ass with freshly laundered towels is one thing, but being intimate with his partner in a private room is another entirely

Still, you're patient with him, you don't react poorly when he gets overwhelmed at the protective layers of clothes hitting the floor, you allow him space, and eventually, maybe even agonizingly slowly, he lets you in - starting with a held pinky while Penguin catches his breath with his shirt off, his nerves getting the best of him after getting a little more handsy than usual that day

When the dam finally breaks, when he's comfortable showing himself to you in his entirety, you're surprised at how ravenous Penguin actually is - he's insatiable, betraying the composure he carries himself with throughout the day

In the bedroom, against the wall, in the communal bathroom and over the Tang's railing when everyone's asleep, hell, even in an alleyway once when the both of you had time to kill on a random island while everyone else was getting wasted, he can't keep his hands off you

To some degree you both know it's an act he puts on to vie for your attention, but there's also a real part of him that worries if he lets his hold on you slip a little too much, you'll disappear

I like to think Shachi's part fishman too, so there's a quiet part of him that worries his partner would leave if they found out, or couldn't handle the treatment you'd get by proxy of being so close to a fishman, even if he wasn't full-blooded - yet every day you find ways to reassure him that'll never happen

In return, he'll climb to the top of the Tang's mast to yell about how much he loves you and how perfect you are, he's a little obnoxious in the Maes Hughes "look at my adorable family" kind of way but you can forgive the mild embarrassment when he flashes his award-winning smile full of razor-sharp chompers

Shachi takes incredible pride in being the one who takes care of the Heart Pirates' hair, his little summer job on Swallow Island for the few years that he spent as a stylist really did turn into a passion for him, even if his occupation on paper is "pirate", but hey, who's keeping track anyways?

Despite his enthusiasm about most everything else, he's incredibly delicate with you initially, constantly checking in to see if you're alright, making sure boundaries aren't crossed, confirming that you are, in fact, enjoying yourself like the big shell-conchus dweeb he is, Shachi just wants to make sure you're alright

Not that he doesn't still check up on you now, he absolutely does, but now with a decent amount of shared time between you two, he's a lot less jumpy about things, more confident in his stride - or rather stroke, I should say

He's loud, peppers you in kisses all over, hell if other people can hear, Shachi needs you to know that he adores every part of you - it does result in an addition of both of your chores (takes two to tango), so whenever the sub drops anchor the both of you try to sneak off to a love hotel given the option of free roam at least once if possible

Shachi answers to you completely, he marks you up at your command and eases whenever you show the slightest discomfort; still, when you do manage to convince him to let loose, he definitely takes the phrase leaving his mark literally - with those exact teeth

He laps at the wounds he leaves as he makes love to you, smearing crimson and words of praise against your body like hymns of devotion, pulling you impossibly close and sharing your taste when you pull him in for a kiss, still trying to hold back that animal desire

The aftercare is just as tender, just as sweet, but maybe a little awkward the first time around when he has to explain to Law why he's sneaking medical supplies away while you sit in the middle of blood stained sheets like you're the victim of a murder

And a bonus for me since writing this had me thinking about it-

I know Law goes down on their man like a champ; inexperienced initially? Yes, but they learn quickly and spite from being teased is a good motivator as any, plus, pleasing their partner, of course

Kirin's got his dick out? Not a problem, they're making him beg for it, the E, As, and T on their fingers might not see the light for hours, not until they're satisfied with edging Kirin until he cries

The only one who beats them at that is Zoro but realistically, no one's topping the King of Cock, not unless Zoro finds it in his heart to not power-bottom Sanji for the night

who the fuck is this guy?? (daima speculation post)

Because I am desperately clawing at information and checking the news every 10 seconds compulsively, I thought I'd put my energy into speculating what Dragon Ball Daima is going to bring us because oh my god i'm so excited So my object of my interest is this person, who is very clearly the same species as the Supreme Kais. Here are my very cool, totally high quality screenshots (they are not)

The safe assumption is that this is a Makaioshin, a Demon Supreme Kai, which I think is likely true and likely the route they're gonna go. All fingers point to Goku and Shin's adventure taking them to the demon realm, and the demon realm is also a topic we've seen Shin have a ton of knowledge in (some reasons unfortunate)

BUT WHO IS THIS??????

So okay I have 4 theories, some I believe a bit more than others. insert my very cool art that I spent several hours on (i did not) ---

1.) The person in the trailer is Shin's twin or sibling and poses as his natural opposite. This is one of the simpler theories and also my favorite. It would be a lot of fun for the narrative, because it brings a lot of personal weight as to why Shin would want to be a part of this journey and also possibly give some insight as to why the majin/folks from the demon realm seem to have it out for the Supreme Kais so badly anyway. We know that this person likely holds a grudge from the Buu Saga ordeal, but the contempt for the Supreme Kais seemed to predate Bibidi and Buu invading the Sacred Land of the Kais. It would be interesting if there is family drama and jealousy is a factor, maybe this person was meant to be a Supreme Kai's apprentice anyway but Shin got it instead. It could be Shin's fault that they're in the demon realm at all. The possibilities are endless! (Also I would really love on-screen lore about their species)

I also really like this theory because Beerus also has a twin brother and the design differences I find very amusing. Also it would track that Beerus's twin hates Beerus because one time he ate a cake or whatever, but Shin's twin wants to eradicate everything Shin knows and loves because he looked at him wrong or something ---

2.) There's some interdimensional timeline bullshit happening and the person on the screen is actually a Shin fusion. I feel like there'd have to be a lot of plot shenanigans for this to work, but the idea that this person is actually a fusion has been thrown around some and I think it's neat. Most notable to me is that they look VERY SIMILAR to Shin but with some key differences, mostly that he's tall and has a different nose. Eye shape and hair are pretty similar and I also found it interesting that the coat is very similar to Shin's palette in Super, though with sleeves/pants/boots matching Shin's Daima palette. It is totally possible this is just a coincidence, especially since Kibito has pretty much the same palette as Shin in Daima but they're not connected at all

So, narratively, what would this do? The timeline placement for Daima is a big point of debate because we're given conflicting information: the two biggest points people point to is Shin and Kibito being defused which only happens around Battle of Gods, and Chi-Chi and Bulma's hairstyles which we only see after Buu Saga in DBZ. It is extremely likely that Daima is canon especially because Akira Toriyama was heavily involved in the story and characters, but how it ties in to the canon right now is a big question mark. It's totally possible that a very huge fuckup happened to cause a "fall from grace" that couldn't be fixed with dragon balls, maybe even the very same adventure that Goku and Shin are on at that point in the anime, and the character we see here is trying to prevent it while working in the demon realm. It's possible he's not actually a villain either and has multiple motives. He shows contempt after seeing Shin on screen, possibly lamenting past actions. I don't really think this theory is that likely (I think a lot of the similarities can just be explained with someone who knows Shin), but it goes down a thread that I think is pretty cool. ---

3.) Entirely new character with no connection to Shin other than mirrored occupations. I think this is the most boring option and probably also the most likely one. I'm down for new characters but I just find them having a more personal connection would be way more fun. Still, he seems to hate Shin (and it's likely that Shin knows him) so it'll be interesting to see what's going on there!

Even if this theory is the one that's the most likely, I still think it'll be a great time and I think would still open an avenue for us to learn a lot more about the Supreme Kais, the canon Demon Supreme Kais, and the demon realm as a whole. I really hope they can deal with this in a great way that doesn't cause any imbalance with the God of Creation/God of Destruction stuff ---

4.) Shin and this character are LITERALLY two halves of the same person who changed in their environments, kind of like Kami and Demon King Piccolo. I feel like this isn't the most likely route either because it would kind of dampen Kami and Piccolo's whole thing AND it would make no sense because Zamasu is an evil little bastard and their species is shown to have their own morals/values on a spectrum of good/evil, but I think this opens up an interesting can of worms that maybe the Supreme Kai's species can split themselves in order to fulfill certain roles for the universe (considering they can also split entire planets/duplicate life)

No one I know of has talked about this and it's driving me crazy but I think there's going to be a subplot about Demon King Piccolo for specifically for two reasons: 1.) BLUE DRAGON BALLS 2.) This screenshot

WHO THE FUCK IS THIS DUDE????? THAT LOOKS LIKE A NAMEKIAN TO ME Also he's DEMON KING Piccolo, he was the demon king (I assume) before Dabura, who our mystery character likely served as well. However, it's also totally possible I'm speaking out of my ass and Demon King(tm) is just a nickname for Kami's other half pre-our Piccolo, but I think that would be kind of lame so I like to think he was an actual demon king.

This is to say, maybe Kami learned how to expel all the evil from himself by seeking guidance of the other gods, and it's something that the Supreme Kais have done before and kind of need to do to keep tabs on the demon realm. OR this is just Namekian stuff and I desperately want to combine lore. You decide!

It is certainly fun to think about though! I think even if this route is possible, it doesn't mean that Supreme Kais are always going to be inherently good; their experiences shape them, and we also see this happen with Kami's evil half in the newly reborn Piccolo. Characters born to be evil do not necessarily stay evil, and characters born to be good do not necessarily stay good. Even so, I think this route would kind of fuck a lot of balance that the story tries to establish already so I think the Namekian stuff will probably be separate from who this character is. Still, I wanted to throw this out there

IN CONCLUSION... I dunno I still think the twin route is the most fun but I think there are really interesting plot threads that could happen. I feel like Daima will be lore heavy even though it's framed as a lighthearted adventure, so I hope to learn a lot. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, but when news is scarce I can't help but speculate the shit out of what we have. Feel free to let me know what y'all think!

Eddie is pretty. He’s so pretty with pink and blue and yellow hues dancing across his face, carnival lights twinkling in his brown eyes. He’s got sprinkles of glitter in his hair that he will surely be bitching about later on, and his lips are tainted red from a cherry-flavored snow cone.

You want nothing more than to smear your lips across his and taste them for yourself, but you’re stuck admiring from afar, poking your straw at the watered-down strawberry slushie in your cup.

Eddie believes that carnivals are nothing but money-sucking machines. The games are rigged, the rides are without a doubt hazardous, the food is overpriced and shitty, and there are hundreds of sticky, obnoxious kids running around like they have no home training. Eddie hates carnivals with every bone in his body, but he’ll be damned if he misses out on any chance to be around you.

You and Eddie are…well you’re something. You haven’t quite established exactly what your relationship is with Eddie. You hang out a lot, and you go out to watch movies, and you hold hands, and you kiss, and you might’ve sucked him off in the back of his van a few times, but Eddie hasn’t asked you to be anything serious yet. It’s not exactly his fault, he would’ve asked you a long time ago, but you asked him to go slow and ‘let’s just be careful for now. I don’t want Dustin finding out just yet.’

So…you’re not quite dating but you’re not not dating either. You’re feeling it out. You want to be sure about your feelings with Eddie and you want him to be sure about his feelings with you; because once Dustin finds out there is no going back. And you’d hate to be the reason why your (step) brother loses such a dear friend.

Eddie agreed to go slow and he agreed to keep it between just the two of you for now, but jesus christ, he can’t stand not being able to touch you and hold you and openly admire you in the ways he wants to.

He misses you and you’re less than thirty feet away. 

There’s a small stuffed animal in Eddie's hands when he walks up and sits next to you on the bench. It’s a miniature pink dolphin, the best he could get with a lousy shot. 

You glance at him and smile, “Hi, stranger.” Eddie smiles back and passes the dolphin to you, you trade him for your slushie and snicker. “I thought you’d pick the shark.” 

Eddie shakes his head, and peers down at the drink in his hand as he swishes it around. “It’s not for me.” He takes a sip of your drink and you watch as he smacks his lips together, letting the taste of the sugary treat settle in. “This tastes like shit.”

You snort, bumping your knee against his, nearly breathless at the sight of Eddie’s smile. “Because it’s watered down, genius.” Despite his previous display of distaste, Eddie takes another sip of your drink and you smile as you watch. Your fingertips dig into the plush toy; you want so badly to run your fingers through his hair, push his bangs back and kiss the arch of his eyebrow.

You push your knee against his once more and he looks over at you. “Thank you for my gift.” It’s almost pathetic, how giddy you get when Eddie dotes on you. He once drew a sun on your hand and you could barely tear your gaze away from it for the rest of the day. It nearly ripped you apart when the ink rubbed off in the shower.

“You’re welcome, sweetheart. I would've gotten you one of those huge stuffed animals, but those games are shitty pieces of money laundering thieves.”

You laugh as Eddie kicks at a rock beside his foot, mumbling a few curses under his breath. Just as Eddie begins to add to his rant, a couple walks past you, an oversized bunny draped across one of their shoulders. You and Eddie watch as they stroll by, and you fail to hold back a laugh. “Are the games rigged or do you just have poor aim?” You tease, to which Eddie snickers and responds, “I’m sure you know enough about my aim.”

The back of your hand meets Eddie’s shoulder in a warning slap and he giggles like a teenage boy. 

You fall silent for a moment and Eddie melts into the feeling of your leg pressed against his. “Why don’t we go get something to eat? I know a place with better drinks than…whatever this is.” Eddie grimaces down at the drink and you roll your eyes. “We can’t just leave—” “Why not? Harrington and Buckley are here.” 

You glance at him, and you can’t bear to watch the way his shoulders sink with the reminder of your reality. “Right, forgot about that for a second.” He sighs. You press your lips together before taking in a breath, turning to him, “Yeah, but you also haven’t taken me on the Ferris Wheel yet.”

Eddie gazes at you for a moment before turning to look at the large spinning wheel. He turns back to you and lifts a brow, “You expect me to get on that thing?” And you’re rolling your eyes and ushering Eddie to stand up and follow you before your friends can notice your disappearance. He complains but follows anyway, “You know they built this shit overnight right? Does that sound remotely safe to you?” 

You let out a breathy laugh with a shake of your head, “Eddie, you smoke two packs a day and drink Jolt Cola like your life depends on it. That shit’ll kill you quicker than this ten-minute ride on a wobbly Ferris Wheel.” And well, Eddie can’t argue with you on that, so he sucks it up and follows you onto the ride.

Once you're on the ride, your body is pressed against Eddie’s as it begins, slowly and slowly inching you up to the top. You’re busy watching the scenery but Eddie, for the most part, is busy watching you. When you glance over at him, you become shy of his gaze and smile, pointing over his shoulder so he can turn to see the sunset. Eddie watches in silence for a moment before he speaks, “This might be the first time the sight of Hawkins doesn’t make me wanna gag…”

Eddie turns to you and winks, nudging you as he speaks “But I think that’s just because you’re here.”

You gaze at him for a minute before tilting your head, “Eddie Munson, are you flirting with me?”

Eddie hums, raising his shoulder to dramatically shy away from you as he twirls a piece of his hair with his free hand. “I’m not that obvious, am I?” His eyes shine with adoration and mischief.

You hum, tilting your head back and forth in faux thought, “Obvious? No. Cheesy? A million times yes.” “Come on that was good. You’ve gotta admit that was good.” Eddie scoffs when you shake your head no before replying, “It’ll just inflate that big head of yours.” And Eddie’s lightly pressing the entirety of his large hand against your face, playfully pushing you away as you giggle. 

You grasp his wrist to pull it away and Eddie thinks you’ll drop his hand, but he’s gladly mistaken when you lace your fingers with his. Your heart skips a beat at the familiar feeling of his rough, calloused fingertips pressed against the back of your hand. Whenever he’s spent long hours shredding his guitar, Eddie makes a show of holding his fingers up in front of you and wiggling them until you gently grasp his wrist and press careful kisses to each of his sore fingertips.

Eddie’s voice is gentle and steady when he speaks, “What happened to being careful?” Your eyes meet his and for a moment, you don’t even remember that you’re on a spinning wheel, you only know you’re here with Eddie. “I’ve been wanting to kiss you all night.” You admit. 

His eyes are soft and silky pools of brown as they dart all over your face, searching for any sign of hesitation. “What about your brother? Our friends—” “Nothing matters when you’re 50 feet above Hawkins, Indiana.”

It’s your last trip around the Ferris Wheel before the ride ends, and Eddie refuses to wait in the line again and you’re looking at him like he’s a sky full of stars, so of course he kisses you. It’s slow and gentle and he wants to keep kissing you until his lungs shrivel up inside of him from lack of air. His hand cradles your jaw and he smoothes a thumb over your cheek when he pulls away.

The ride is almost over and you’re sad to have to return to your friends and be pulled away from Eddie. “Will you come over tonight?” You ask before the ride ends. Eddie had been waiting for you to ask, he’s been thinking about it all night. He tries not to sound too excited, but he’s got a shit-eating grin plastered on his face when you look at him, “Leave the window open?” “Bring some smoke and I'll think about letting you stay the night.” You tease, giggling when Eddie feigns offense.

As you step off the ride, you already want nothing more than the night to end, already missing the warmth of Eddie’s touch. But when you rejoin your friends and glance towards Eddie, he winks at you and you’re positive that you will sneak in at least two more secret rides before the end of the night.

Honestly my answers will sort of be an inversion of yours: Jean as someone I really appreciate but I'm not actively into and Venti as unhealthy obsession and fandom bicycle. (Thanks for introducing me to that term, lol.)

Jean

How I feel about her: I don't brainrot over her for her own sake, but as my de facto main in co-op, the permanent healer in my overworld team, and one of Mondstadt's most important characters I'm very fond of her. She deserves more breaks. So so much.

Her design fascinates me too; if you use the alt version of her default outfit it looks very modest and like everything's covered when she's standing still, only for more skin to be exposed on her upper torso when you run or otherwise move around. It feels like a visual reflection of how she hides/suppresses the more human, emotional parts of herself to perform her role.

Romantic ships: I'm not actively into any but Jean/Lisa just makes sense to me. Lisa is such a fun character to bounce off her. You've got me intrigued about Jean/Eula and Jean/Kaeya as well, and I should look into Jean/Diluc too.

I s2g her voice lines make her sound like she's starting to have a crush on Traveller too. That could be really wholesome; they could periodically show up in Mond, speedrun solving a ton of citizens' problems, and whisk her off to beautiful corners of Teyvat she'd never dream of having time to visit otherwise. And they both have sibling issues... I'm selling myself on this as I type it, dear lord.

Platonic OTPs: All of the above are also wonderful platonically. Also Jean and Venti!! God!!! I neeeed more interactions between them; it's a massive shame the game never showed us Jean or Diluc processing the Venti-Barbatos reveal and the religious crisis that would definitely cause. Especially for Jean! I wish this oneshot was a longer multichapter so badly.

I'm fascinated by the idea of them having a lot in common under the surface, especially if we compare Jean to how Venti may have been in Mond's cultivation period. Even their outfits have a lot of design elements in common!

Additionally, considering her parallels with/idolisation of Vennessa, I love the idea of Venti having unresolved guilt/unprocessed trauma about whatever happened to Vennessa in the end + maybe her overworking herself for Mondstadt until her death, and him screaming internally watching Jean go down the same path. I can't get enough of fics where he helps her relax for once. The two of them should go on some long field trip where they coax each other into acknowledging they're people that feel things.

Unpopular opinion: Not sure I have any! I'm not familiar with general fandom opinions about her but I'd be surprised if I saw someone severely mischaracterising her, tbh. She doesn't feel like a difficult character to grasp. Maybe my perception's skewed since I tend to obsess over human dumpster fires, though.

Something I wish would happen: mainly (gestures at the platonic section), but seconding you that we need her to make progress with Barbara too. I'd love to see her be dragged into more shenanigans with Diluc as well, though I'm biased as a combined-Diluc-and-Jean main.

Venti

How I feel about him: I probably need help with the amount I think about this goddamn character. I didn't truly understand the term 'comfort character' until I started obsessing over him. I project onto him a bit too much and I want to emotionally smash him to bits and scrape him together again.

Even without the brainrot, he's just fascinating; he's clearly a significant character that will almost certainly be tied to massive lore drops later on, and the vague hints about him having time powers mean that even the way he fundamentally experiences reality can be theorised about with wildly different ideas being equally valid.

He has me freezing up at every damn mention of wind and/or time and/or music in this god-forsaken game. And there are a lot of them.

Romantic ships: as I said, he's the fandom bicycle for me. Everyone gets a ride. I especially love zhongven in multiple permutations, and their longevity means fanworks for other Venti ships can easily slot in past zhongven as well. Otherwise I really like kaeven, I used to be more into diluven but kaeven has completely eclipsed it for me, and I'm really intrigued about the potential of furiven as well (though I usually approach that platonically).

Non-romantic OTPs: any of the above if not being done romantically, plus Venti+Jean and Venti+Vennessa (see Jean's section lmao) and Venti+everyone in old mond- especially NB and RHW. And I really really want to see him interact with Furina. There are so many people he either has a fascinating relationship with already or has potential to.

While it's not a ship, I find the idea that he's slept with the Tsaritsa at least once pre-fallout very funny.

Edit: Venti having a non-reciprocated crush on Vennessa is interesting as well.

Unpopular opinions: I'm not sure I have any in a tumblr fandom context? Maybe that any ships between him and a mortal who's grown up worshipping him (like diluc/venti, jean/venti, etc) would be a lot more of an emotional minefield for both parties than people tend to explore, with the mortal having to go through a religious crisis while Venti clearly just wants to be treated like a person + could be paranoid as hell about whether their consent to anything is genuine.

That's not a criticism of those ships, though! The opposite, actually. I'd love to see a long fic that really digs into that.

Something I wish would happen: ...there are so many things I could put here. The main ones are a) a Venti-is-Barbatos reveal (and maybe a reveal of his darker secrets, like any abyss ties) to all of Mondstadt, forcing him to stop avoiding his problems for once, and b) for Venti to be pushed into a corner and/or go apeshit and reveal just how much he was lying about his power level.

I need a Vennessa-Venti reunion as well. Please please please.

Size allergy (4/?)

It gave me enough inspiration to be able to continue this story (I'm thinking about making an art of it, although it might take a while)…

Todd has entered the scene and will try to help the boys through this complicated time. I understand that Todd isn't very popular in the fandom, but I really wanted to put him in my story, I hope that doesn't ruin the interest in this one 😅

No warnings here, just comfort and silly moments between the brothers.

In the outskirts of New York City, forests abounded where few dared to enter; not so much because of the wild animals, but because of the people who used to frequent these places. From deranged people, to aggressive mutants; however, some time ago the boys found in that forest the only guy who could help them in this situation, probably the kindest guy in the world. 

Todd had been a friend of the turtles since he met them and they built him a home for the puppies he adopted. That night, like others, he was out scouting around to round up the puppies that wandered too far away to take them to bed. It was while he was doing this scouting that one of his dogs appeared frightened, running towards him, whimpering with fear and trembling with its tail tucked between its legs. 

The mutant capybara for a second thought it was a wild animal from the forest, but something told him this was different. His dogs were already used to forest life and were never that scared of animals. So, he grabbed his flashlight and set out to explore what it was that scared his pup so badly. 

He felt noises, and even some shaking, but his instinct told him he should continue. When he reached the clearing where the dog had come from, he saw his beloved turtle friends, but Mikey was certainly different. 

“Guys?!” he exclaimed pointing his flashlight at them “What are you doing out so late? And... Why are you so big?” he said pointing at Mikey, who looked as big as a tree. 

“Hi Todd...” grimaced the orange tortoise at the capybara's quizzical look.  

“It's not that I don't trust you... But we didn't see he until now...” Raph seemed to be arguing with someone, but Todd couldn't hear him. 

“Is everything all right?...” asked the capybara as he approached, a couple of cubs behind him were following him cautiously “What happened to you? And where are your other siblings?” he asked with concern; he noticed that Mikey and Raph looked uneasy. 

When he got close enough, he could notice two small figures on Raph's shoulders, which looked like a scaled down version of the two missing siblings. Leo waved his hand at him in welcome. 

“Todd! Dude, I'm glad you showed up!” exclaimed the turtle leaning on Raph's head as if nothing strange was happening “You see, we're having a liiiittle problem with Mikey, do you think you could help us?” all the while the tortoise smiled trying to appear calm. 

The capybara stood for a moment watching, as if trying to process what he was seeing, but instead of jumping in to ask, he decided to put that aside when he saw that the boys looked overwhelmed. 

“Of course! That's what friends are for” he said cheerfully, taking Raph's hand to guide him, “I'll make room for you in my house and you can stay as long as you like” he said as he motioned for Mikey to follow them. 

Once at the capybara's dog center, he let the puppies give the proper love to Raph needed to de-stress. Mikey tried to pet a few of them, but only a few brave ones approached him because of their size, which discouraged him a bit. Leo and Donnie for their part, preferred to stay away from the doggie shenanigans, they were too big for them now. Todd could tell the boys were worried, so he did his best to try to cheer them up; he brought some of the blankets he used for the puppies when they were born so the twins could be comfortable, he also made lemonade for everyone, even preparing a whole pitcher for Mikey to have a downward serving. 

After sensing that the boys seemed to be calmer, he took his leave to go to bed. He invited everyone to sleep inside his house, but since Mikey couldn't go inside, Raph decided to stay outside with him. Leo and Donnie did accept and were carried in the capybara's hands. After making sure they were comfortable he went to rest.

Inside the house, the twins were on a high table so as not to get in trouble with the dogs; Donnie was doing checks on his tech and Leo was taking advantage of the size to drink more lemonade and lay under a lamp, letting his imagination make him think it was the sun. He tried to keep a good mood since they had arrived, enough they had with Raph stressed out. 

“How do you plan to be able to use your things with everything that happened to us?” he asked his brother at one point; he was a little bored. 

“If you guys would pay more attention to what I do, you would know that size is a minor obstacle for me” he answered haughtily, showing a pair of toothpicks he had in his hands, the size of branches in comparison. 

“Where did you get that?” Leo exclaimed. 

“Todd has a box of toothpicks... I just need a little ingenuity to be able to transform this simple piece of wood into a rudimentary...” he went on to explain. 

“Get to the point” interrupted his brother with boredom as he approached the place where Donnie was poking around with his goggles. 

“Phew!” he complained about the interruption “I can manipulate my technology to make these goggles work even if it’s not on my head” one of the side compartments was open and Leo watched as his brother used the tips of the toothpicks to move circuits inside “And... Done!” he said closing the compartment “Applause for saving the day!” he said bowing to Leo's indifference. 

“So... Now does it work?” the boy approached the back of the goggles to see if he noticed anything interesting, but Donnie stopped him. 

“We'll find that out with you!” he pushed him away and stood in the back area “Please! stand in front with your sword and I'll see if I detect anything interesting!” he seemed particularly excited. 

Leo didn't understand what his brother was looking for, but he still listened to him and went for his sword. He would never say it out loud, but this sort of thing was more fun than just lounging around by himself. Then he stepped in front of the goggles and struck a pose with his sword. 

“I bet I look great” he said doing more action poses. 

“Well... The shine is there...” Donnie commented a bit low, which made the other turtle strange “For the record, I'm not saying this because of your comic book character poses... Around you there is a rather subtle pink glow... And also, on your sword for some reason” he placed a hand on his chin. 

“What on earth are you talking about?” the fact that it glowed, even if it was a pretty color, worried Leo a little. 

“You see... If you thought I was going to stick with Draxum's terse explanation of our allergies, you're wrong!” he said while he pressed something in the compartment of his goggles and then ran to his communicator, which was next to it, Leo followed him curiously “Apparently... What affected us is still around us... A mystical energy that seems to be dissipating slowly, maybe that's why it lasts a week... This should make sense in a living being, since the body reacts to the foreign agent, although I don't understand why it also affected your sword... But with this data I can find out more about this mystical allergy” he made a gesture of quotation marks, but despite what it seemed, the boy looked quite satisfied with these findings. 

“Wow... So, we're giving off glitter” commented Leo teasing his brother as he leaned against him. 

“Scoff!, that's all you're taking away from my amazing explanation?” he complained pushing him away. 

“I wonder if Mikey's weapon has grown with him?” commented Leo observing his sword a bit. 

“Wait! Mikey!” Donnie suddenly exclaimed “He got contaminated with something different! I must see how this allergy works on him!” 

Then Leo, perhaps curious about his twin's sudden enthusiasm (or rather because he was looking for an excuse to leave) raised his sword and quickly created a portal that sucked in Donnie, his goggles and him to send them faster to their older brother.

Raphael was trying to cheer himself up with the help of Todd's doggies, he was a little nervous that Leo and Donnie weren't with him, but it was true that some of the dogs could be very rough with them. Interestingly, he seemed more concerned in comparison to Mikey; after a while together with the dogs, they got used to the presence of the huge turtle and he took the opportunity to hug and pet them gently. His attention then shifted to Raph, he could tell that still his big brother was not at ease. 

“Are you feeling right?” he asked catching his older brother's attention. 

“Huh... Yeah, why wouldn't I be?” replied the turtle with the red band with not much conviction looking up “That's what I should ask you” he said with concern. 

“I...” he looked at his hands, but his eyes were only fixed on the puppies in them “I feel fine now... I'm worried about how much I have left to grow, but I know you guys will be here for me” he smiled genuinely, which surprised Raph. 

“Heh... I guess it's not only your body that has grown...” he commented softly “I seem to forget that you have also matured with time little brother” he laughed, but looked at his little brother with pride. 

“Aww thanks Raph” he smiled cheerfully, but then went back to his worried look “But seriously, you don't look well... Despite being the only one of us that nothing happened to you” he bent down and put the puppies back on the ground “Seriously, are you feeling ok?” those puppy dog eyes seemed to be more effective now that Mikey was bigger, the older turtle sighed. 

“I'm nervous Mikey, not just for you...” he said releasing his shoulder tension a little “I'm worried about Leo and Donnie, they can get hurt very easily now... Also not having told dad that we were coming here worries me... I don't know what to do to fix this” he put his hands on his head and lowered it to the table. 

When the boys had barely reached the forest, Mikey again felt the pain that signaled another growth spurt was coming. Due to Raphael's impatience with the situation he started to scold Leo for leaving them in the middle of the forest, while Leo tried to explain that they were near Todd's house; the discussion only made Leo and Donnie shocked by Raph's loud voice and no one focused on the suffering moans of Mikey, who ended up passing another two growth spurts, leaving him approximately 23 feet tall. Things didn't calm down until Todd showed up, and since then Raph had been mentally berating himself for not taking good care of his siblings. 

Mikey had no idea everything his brother was thinking, but he did know how to cheer him up. He had been itching to do this ever since he saw his big brother the size of a medium-sized teddy bear, so he picked him up and pulled him to his chest for a warm hug. This took the snapping turtle by surprise. 

“Mi-Mikey!?” he exclaimed when his feet left the ground and he was suddenly wrapped between the big plastron and arms of his giant little brother. 

“Calm down Raph... I know you're going to work this out” he said as he stroked his head, had his big brother always been so adorable? “And we'll be fine” 

Raph, who was still trying to process the sensation of being lifted off the ground, smiled at his little brother, no doubt a hug helped calm his nerves a bit, and though strange, it was still comforting. He smiled slightly. 

“Thanks...” he said, happy that at least for the moment things were okay.

ok i think this is my first time ever watching a show while it’s coming out so i’m gonna write out my reactions as i watch the episode for the first time, even though i’m watching it from streaming (i don’t have cable rip) and i already got a bunch of spoilers.

Some cool ass fight scenes like the barry oak confrontation behind the scenes with the props and rpatical effects. The twins have a field day with the blood effects.

The tower of terry scene actually went through in one take, surprisingly. Ron kept going off script on accident and total awkwardness but it actually made the whole scene more complete.

The deez nuts joke went over so well that everyone constantly tries to deez nuts willy afterwards and he gets insanely paranoid about responding to people. When Willy hit Glenn back with the dragon deez nuts across the floor joke no one was as impressed like "its not the same"

Jodie and glenn arent siblings irl but they get on so well like one even out of acting due to their vastly different methodologies. Lots of fun sibling banter. I hc that jodie just looks like jimmy irl but more cop and buff looking.

The deck of many things episode with the reaper was probably really fun to film with all the effects and stuff.

The FREAKING PYRAMID. Of course they had to film that within the studio but they built a couple of steps for them to stand on. They actually got a water jet of apple juice in the studio. 2/4 of the dads got sick after filming that day.

Scam likely irl is a funny cool uncle archetype. His other roles involve wizardry and funkiness so this one was right up his alley.

I want a couple of shots of just the cast members breaking out in laughter after a particularly insane set of lines. they take SO many shots just to finish filming that scene. Bloopers my beloved you will always be famous.

Paeden bennets and Walter aren't acually related in real life but i hc that the kid playing Paeden is also an orphan and Walter irl adopts him in after filming and developing a bond with each other. Paeden being a giant zombie was probably fun to film like he would make jokes about how small everyone is even though its just cgi and dude is still tiny af irl.

I would like to think that the game at balls deep stadium was filmed at an actual nearby stadium that they rented out and they got to play an actual game of football after all of the shenanigans of filming.

Yeet bigly is actually disabled in real life, both of his lower legs are prostethics and made the attachment to skateboard pretty cool even though it took many, many tried and attempts to not fall flat on his face with some lessons from Nick on how to skateboard.

Glenn's trial arc of course took place in a real courthouse and they made a lot of ace attorney memes and bloopers but also ouch emotional damage. When Glenn read the script about the meth bay prison arc he was woah kinky

Erin o niel is a pretty cool and chill lady who does in fact love nature and would take walks to feel her role out. I hc that she was supposed to die at first during that library fight but she was so popular they overturned the script and look how that worked out for the better.

I've only been seeing people talk about how they're excited to see Isabella again in a phinabella context so far, so here's a list of Isabella-centric plots I'd like to see that don't revolve around her crush bc she's more than just a romantic interest:

I really want an Isabella and Pinky centered episode. Whether that's an "Isabella somehow accidentally temporarily finds out Pinky's an agent and shenanigans ensue" scenario or a "Pinky has to go to the vet but he ALSO has to fight Poofenplotz but Isabella is relentless" scenario is a toss up

I've said it before, but an episode about her cultural background/ethnicity that isn't based in stereotypes

Helping at a cousins quinceañera (or if it's set at any point in the future, HERS).

Give me an episode with just her, Baljeet, and Buford. I want to see more of their friendship so badly I love the trio

On a similar note, an episode with her and Ferb. Their friendship is everything to me

Another Fireside Girl centric episode or two - I want to learn more about the other girls and their relationship with her. A flashback of their first troop meeting, mayhaps

An episode focusing on her relationship with Candace - maybe a sister related event, with older sisters and younger sisters, and she asks Candace to go with her and they have a really good time and it's all soft and sibling-y

I want her to pet sit Biff and for some reason it's significantly more difficult than she expects. This could fully be a side plot to a normal episode like just:

Cut to Isabella at Buford's, holding a mile long list of instructions: "Why do I have to WALK HIM??"

For some reason completely not her fault (it's probably Doofs fault) Isabella is kicked out of the Fireside Girls and she has to prove she's innocent to be let back in (it's some absurd rule like "You can't wear purple striped socks on Thursdays" or something nothing actually bad)

She delivers cupcakes to Dr. D, recognizes him from CATU, and then proceeds to spend the whole day vibing in his lair watching him build stuff and critiquing it the whole time (bonus if Perry is still fighting Doof in the reboot and is Sweating Bullets™ in the rafters, bonus bonus if he calls Pinky and is like "come get your kid")

Again. Please. A Pinky and Isabella episode I was SO bummed she never found out about him 😭

The og cast from Undertale’s reaction to Frisk being a normal kid, and doing human kid things. Like tripping and eating concrete hard enough to give themselves a bloody nose, and just getting up to continue playing with a care. (I love the stories that let Frisk be a kid the most, it’s hard work saving an entire race and despite the ‘fanon’ of them immediately becoming ambassador for monsterkind, I think they deserve to splash in rain puddles and make snow/mud cakes.)

Heheheh, I love fan fictions where frisk just gets to be a kid again.

Toriel:

Toriel would just be happy to see Frisk acting like a child again, in the Underground they were so determined to free everyone, they were to busy to have fun. And then all that drama with the human government.

Well, even if it means mud on the kitchen tiles and cleaning up scrapped knees. Toriel is just glad Frisk is happy

Asgore:

Much the same reaction to Toriel, though he’s happy they feel comfortable enough around him to act like their age. Instead of the stoic figure he first encountered. Hearing their giggles reminds him of earlier times, with Chara and Asriel.

He’s glad he’s got a family again

Undyne:

HELL YEAH. She is fully indulging in frisks playful, childish side. Shes throwing them in the water, like all older siblings do, she’s chasing frisk and their friends around. Everything.

Everytime frisk falls down she’s right next to them. Scooping them up and swinging them around until they’re laughing!

Alphys:

Admittedly she isn’t the best with kids. But she tries, though she prefers when frisk isn’t running around screaming and making a mess. She definitely helps them settle down,

The two watch some child friendly anime and Alphys probably helps make frisk an OC. Not gonna lie, it’s the most fun Alphys has had with anyone in a long time.

Papyrus:

Papyrus is right alongside frisk as they engage in shenanigans. Probably also with Undyne. He makes puzzles for frisk to try, even though he starts to make them really challenging as time goes by

He’d also help Toriel clean up any mess frisk makes, though he’d also scold frisk as well “don’t be lazy, you don’t want to end up like Sans!”

Sans:

*snoring noises* yeah he’s probably sleeping through a lot of this, or watching from a distance. Sorry kiddo, he had to spend enough energy wrangling Papyrus in when he was their age.

Despite not actively participating, he still watch’s, making sure that they don’t get too badly hurt. And he does offer helpful advice, if you can get past all the atrocious puns

(Just some neat lil ideas I forgot to post)

Donnie, Leo, and Venus all fought in the battle nexus together

Because of his soft shell, Donnie was the first to leave the Nexus to become an engineer.

Second was Venus, She got promoted to Big Mama’s Assistant.

And Leo, well he never left the Nexus. He is the current champion and he hates how they all got separated

None of them are aware of Raph or Mikey.

Venus:

. The oldest by a couple of months.

. She is extremely serious when she’s on the job.

. She loves all the mischief the twins get into but she is always the one to say when it gets too far.

. Would be the one to get blamed for the twins shenanigans

. Basically Big Mamas bodyguard

Leo:

. Loved when they all fought together in the Nexus but now that they’re gone he is less enthusiastic.

. Spends his spare time bugging Donnie while he works but when he gets bored of that he’ll go either train or sneak to the surface

. Claims to be the older twin

. Self proclaimed medic

Donnie:

. Constantly working

. Doesn’t get much credit or praise for his work

. Watches most of Leo’s Nexus fights

. Is the older “Twin”

. Most spare time he uses to make a battle shell

. Although he doesn’t mention it much, he loves hanging out with his siblings when he has time and wishes they could more often

Once Leo started fighting in the Nexus alone Donnie got worried so he tried his hardest to become a good medic just in case Leo ever got hurt too badly

Leo isn’t the best at caring for his own wounds (not wanting his siblings to worry about him) but Donnie was always adamant on patching him up (although Donnie wasn’t the best with medical things he tried very hard)

I am a baldur's gate 3 enthusiast, played it so much and thinking about it in the terms of Lawlu

Law as the vampire elf pretending very badly to be human, with a master (Doffy) stalking his shadow. Once was a royal physician in the main city and uses that as an excuse of why he is always covered in or has blood around him

Luffy is funny as just Tav, is just a dude who got caught and broke out, and started poling his nose into everyones problems, probably grew up in and around brothels in the city, so there was a lot of gossip to get into and he's used to it. Would do odd jobs and help people in much the same way. Heh, and their is a god, Nika, just hanging out at camp cause it thinks Luffy's shenanigans are fun, providing random revivals for the party.

Law, thinking he is doing a great job in manipulating Luffy, being so totally lowkey about his past (not), and sure he tried to drink Luffy's blood then made excuses about it, but all he had to say is that he's hungry.

It would be also funny if Luffy is like 'wow, this feels nice' and falls asleep, while Law 'never had a drop of living human blood' cant stop himself, so drinks him dry. Luffy revived the next day would punch him, and then go "If you're hungry, feel free to have some again" leaving a very dumb founded Law rubbing at his cheek, sitting on the furs of his tent all confused. He was sure that he was going to be killed, or atleast have an uncomfortable talk there.

There is a charged tattoo scene where Law shows him his back, and Luffy gently traces the lines and makes some comments of things it reminds him of all silly and made to relax Law. They cuddle all night like that, Luffy would say no to having sex, because he sees the look on Law's face, he knows it well from his time growing up in brothel's that were not always great, and is not into that at all. Being around a hypersexualized environment, he's seen a lot and generally finds sex boring most of the time with little sex-drive of his own, so Law trying to seduce him that way fails every time xd. He tries but soon finds out giving Luffy some tasty food works much better lol

Their adventure goes on like that, Luffy teaching Law what it means to be free and how to have fun while meandering through the countryside with barely a goal in mind or so, it seems.

Then they get to the city, Luffy without hesitation goes to the nearest brothel, asks about who is the main vampire in the city slums now, they get attacked, he watches as Law gets a little feral in the interaction with his siblings. It's hot xd

Then Luffy just beelines it for Doffy's mansion, fuck him and his plans for daywalking immortality.

Trusts Law to make his own choices about the others hurt by Doffy, Luffy is someone who will let others take their own freedoms and sit back, he prefers it even

After it is all done, he is there to hold Law (let us hug him Larion!).

Main missions shenanigans, people talking big about nonsense Luffy dont care about, he's just here to punch a giant brain cause it tried to take his freedom!

They probably go to the underdark after, find a bunch of problems to solve, Law disappointed he can't see the sun again. Luffy just rolls his eyes, digs through his bags and casually pulls out a million trinkets they pulled of random vampires that let Law do whatever he wants, and they just travel around, doing adventures and helping their other party memebers who may not have had all their problems solved just yet.

another one though... hm. probably one of my dynastic hatefuckers ofic. i have four-five-five and a half of them planned (two are mostly a concept tbh) and only managed 10% of the first one before getting hit with "REWORK EVERYTHING" and got stuck at like 85% of the third.

second one is about guerilla member guy getting badly hurt by someone who wants to get in the good graces of his main enemy, the nephew and main general of the evil necromancer family invading his country! and then nephew being like "... you broke my nemesis???? tf do you think you are??????????" and getting hella weird about fixing him. it doesn't have as much plot as either the first or the third ones and tbh the characters aren't as well defined and fun as those other guys, so i might never manage to drum up the interest to write it. there's nothing cool that happens in it worldbuilding-wise that cannot happen in another story of the series...

fifth story is about not!ichigo being the hidden son of the princess escaped from evil coup by evil uncle and not!grimmjow and not!nell ending up in an arranged marriage to him to bring legitimacy to both sides. it's tbh too much of an expy idea right now and the characters still need worked on. i really want the harem shenanigans to be part of it but idk yet how to navigate the fact that nel and grim would be half siblings. (no incest! it's a V not a triangle.) do i just go with married to nel for babymaking but grim is the real husband? it's bothering me.

fifth and a half is F/F with the daughter of 4th story's king and my motivation to write F/F is usually not very high so it's been pretty difficult to see it as more than an intellectual exercise in fic-planning. :/
