(Bro you can't just leave this in the tags)
Hear me out ... Wedding planner Steven
He's doing a major in event management and a minor in hospitality management and I he does it via online college so he can still travel around the states.
I had this fic idea where he gets an internship at a wedding agency and because he's incredibly tall in head he kinda scares off potential mentors until he finds one who's willing to give him a chance.
He makes friends on this online college and together they host their own graduation and all his family, other friends and his mentor show up and-
Does anyone wanna talk about Adult Steven with me? I really want somebody to talk about Adult Steven with me.

I think Dick and Jason would have multiple “what the actual fuck are you saying right now” with Tim and Damian when it comes to quality of life/monetary differences. Sure, Dick and Jason got used to Bruce’s “is $100 a good enough tip on a $30 bill?” shit, but hearing Tim talking about a new laptop he bought for $5000 literally is like a punch in the gut.
If they ever went on a cruise (which they totally wouldn’t because cruises are floating death traps), Jason and Dick would be in awe of the fancy amenities, where as Damian would be unsatisfied with the quality, since he grew up with every single amenity known to man. Tim would just feel like it’s all normal since the Drake’s were extravagant and travelled all over the planet.
Jason : My bedroom is bigger than my fucking apartment.
Dick : I could do a full gymnastics routine with the space in my room.
Tim :
Dick :
Tim : My room is normal sized…
Jason : You grew up in a mega mansion. I hardly think you’re the benchmark of a normal room-
Damian : I must agree with Drake. This room is frankly underwhelming.
Dick, staring wildly at him : What do you mean underwhelming- Dames there’s an aquarium wall in your room.
Damian : Yes. Underwhelming.
Jason :
Dick :
Jason : Do you want to-
Dick : Jump off the boat? Yes.

(click for higher quality!) draconified link concept ive been chipping away at this past week ..... here's my funny little compendium concept for him:
"A heroic spirit has taken the form of this bestial dragon. Unlike it's kin, this creature exhibits an extremely aggressive disposition. It appears highly territorial, and will relentlessly chase down those who disturb its skywide patrols - of which it seems to be endlessly searching for either a long-time vassal or foe. Unfortunately, it seems the spirit within has long since forgotten exactly who it was looking for…"

adventure time lore is insane. it starts off just being a goofy kids show that has magic for no reason, but then you learn that all magic users are manic and/or depressed (what betty calls sadness and madness). because it turns out magic is actually a cosmic force beyond mortal comprehension, that itself was learned from cosmic entities that predated the existence of time itself inside a sea of monsters. and "magic" really is just understanding more about the nature of the universe than most people. that, in a way, reality isnt "real" and understanding that allows you to mold it. and thats magic. but that drives you to insanity and/or apathy. and there are beings who hold significant cosmic importance who are more prone to magic. and the reason magic became prevalent on earth is because of a nuclear war a thousand years ago, which released the entity that represents the destruction of all life onto the world. and after a nuclear apocalypse this gave way to a new earth, where magic could thrive. but a lot of the beings we see arent even magical, theyre just mutants from what happened 1000 years ago. and humanity as we know it has been all but wiped out. but everything stays the same because cycles of war and violence continue. and it doesnt matter if its nukes or magic. everything stays the same, but still changes.

“Back at home my wife awaits for me. She’s my everything; my Penelope.”
Throughout the Odyssey, Odysseus had placed Penelope at a high pedestal. His devotion so ground breaking that he’s willing to go through so many lengths to meet his wife — a being so pure and bright in his eyes.
As years go on, Odysseus only sees her as this beam of hope, talking of himself as a tainted figure in comparison; unable to find any reason to push forward if it were not for his Polaris. Ultimately having situations, like in the musical, where he begs for Penelope in his dreams to see him as no different to the man she once loved. In fear that if he does come back, he had become too corrupt and disproportionate for her to recognize.
Mind that I like to think he had forgotten that time has changed her too — making her wiser and more cunning. The Penelope he talks of when influencing himself and others is only a still portrait of her younger self from when he had left Ithaca.

Honestly I don't even think the base concept is stupid to begin with. Everything about the Hero Factory and the way it operates is deeply, deeply concerning when you examine it beyond the surface level marketing.
It's a privately owned, bleeding-edge tech, militarized police force, under the absolute control of a wealthy, unelected CEO with zero outside supervision, that manufactures entire living people whose sole reason for existing is to fill out the ranks and follow Makuro's orders, who are tied to the Factory by their need for constant recharges, and who can't choose to leave without being labelled "defective," and presumably undergoing heavy modifications to remove their reliance on the aforementioned recharges. Anyone who opposes the factory is unilaterally labelled a "villain" and then incarcerated within their private facility, kept underground in apparent perpetuity in cells barely bigger than they are. No shot at rehabilitation, no dignity whatsoever, they're not even technically in prison. They straight up call it "villain storage." Not a prison, not even a dungeon. Storage. They're shoved in boxes and shelved. Even the ones created directly or indirectly by the Factory itself, which makes up a substantial portion of this catalogue. That's not even getting into the ethical nightmare of the Hero Recon Team, a highly secretive special ops division that specializes in spying on literally everyone, or things like the Antropolis incident, where the Factory was called in to assist with a giant creature incursion that was getting in the way of a corporate construction project, which turned out to be the planet's indigenous species defending their home, and resulted in the extermination of that species.
Like seriously, the morals of each individual Hero aside, the Hero Factory itself is very unsubtly corrupt, a tool to control the galaxy rather than protect it, and to serve the interests of whoever has the deepest pockets. The whole shining facade crumbles to dust under the slightest bit of scrutiny. But of course you're not supposed to examine it because it's LEGO, they have a capitalist market to stay in the good graces of. It's for kids, it's not that deep, etc. Just good robots vs. bad robots, that's all it's meant to be.
So the fact that at any point they actually did consider making Mr. Makuro the true villain of the story, revealing that the Hero Factory and everything he claimed to stand for was a sham, and that he'd been manufacturing problems to keep himself relevant, make it seem like he and his Heroes were needed to keep the peace, just so he could stay on top? Well it's astonishing really. Like that's a legitimately scathing critique of capitalist oligarchy and police states. I'm not shocked in the slightest that they didn't end up following through on it, but I am floored that this story was in the cards at all, let alone the actual planned ending.
That Makuro was going to be either a rogue Turaga or Makuta repeating the mistakes of his creators on a galactic scale, in their own image? That's icing on an already rich cake. He was basically set up to outdo Velika at his own game, before we even knew what that game was.
Ok but like. As stupid as the original Hero Factory ending concept was (where Makuro was a Turaga and it was the Bonkleverse all along and there was an evil Villain Factory under the Hero Factory building or whatever), there is something kinda profound about a creation of the Great Beings proceeding to not only do basically what the GBs did, but also to make his own creations resemble the species that created him in the first place (the 1.0 and Breakout designs used the same head-piece as Bionicle's '09 sets).
EDIT: This might not actually be a real thing. I thought it was, but I can't find any actual evidence.

I love Zutara as much as the next girlie, but I think people romanticizing Zuko catching Azula's lightning in the Final Agni Kai are doing Zuko's character a massive disservice. He would have done that for anyone. Not just anyone in the Gaang, anyone.
He did it for the division he ended up getting burned over. He did it for his subordinate that was going to fall to his death after the ship was struck by lightning. He did it for Lee, when he was kidnapped by Gao. He did it for Iroh, when he confronted his dad and tried to break him out of prison. He did it for the whole Gaang at the Western Air Temple. He did it for Sokka, Suki, and Hakoda at the Boiling Rock.
His whole character revolves around saving everyone else first. Hell, he tried to save Zhao of all people! There's no way that would have gone well for Zuko if Zhao had actually taken his hand. He always does what he thinks is right first before considering his own safety.
Zuko always saves other people. Even if, especially if, he can't save himself.

I really do think dracula daily/re: dracula is the best way to experience dracula the book, because it adds an entirely new level of horror and dread that a book can never truly achieve.
Because, instead of simply reading through the book in one go, you have to wait along with it. You get to see Jonathan express his terror in real time, and experience the dread of days going by with no news from him, wondering what could possibly be going on in the time you hear nothing.
Like it’s a level of horror of the unknown storytelling that Bram Stoker never could have imagined and it adds an entirely new experience to the story and i just think it’s neat

when people refer to canon story-relevant kingdom hearts games as ‘spinoffs’ it makes me sad not only for the obvious reasons i always say but also bc like man i WISH this series had spinoffs. imagine what they could do if they had permission from nomura to truly go off the rails and ignore the greater canon for a second and just do some fun whimsical plotless thing in an alternate universe. imagine a fishing/boating game on destiny islands. kh fighting game. it is an injustice that we have been deprived of kingdom karts. can anyone hear me
#in terms of alternate gameplay and lack of reliance on plot#i feel like melody of memory is the closest thing kh has actually had to a spinoff#but even that is important in its own way in the end#union cross to a certain degree as well what with being an online multiplayer gacha type game#its original concept i would definitely classify as a spinoff game#bc it was set in a totally different world and time period and was supposed to be about customization and fun with friends#and nomura or someone said it wasn’t meant to be connected to the plot#but then like. he did very much go and give it a plot. like he went back on that almost immediately#and even then. given that the game is still very much combat and exploration#even from the beginning can it really be called a spinoff? it’s just kh in a different format#i’m talking like a game in which the objective is something totally different.#racing game or cooking game or fighting game or (another) rhythm game#ace attorney style detective game. dancing game. dude i don’t know#there are so many different flavors they could go with here#alas nomura is allergic to genuine whimsy which is hilarious given that this is a disney series#like he apparently was like ‘ohhh should we really let sora in smash? would it make sense in the story?’#my brother in christ surely we’re not supposed to interpret this as canon to kh right? right????#i guess it’s just that the kh franchise has a very specific pristine vibe he wants to maintain#which is disney shenanigans as a seasoning on top of a main dish of Stone Cold Serious Anime Plot#kingdom hearts#kh#mine: kh

Everyone waits.
The chatter and banter which once occupied the courtyard dies down to dull whispers and foot tapping.
Everyone waits, and there's no Crowley.
"Wonderful," Jamil sighs. "He's probably taken all the money and run off. I told you all that-"
"Maybe he's late!" Kalim shouts. A few in the crowd murmur in hopeful agreement.
Silver coughs. "Maybe he realized this whole thing is ridiculous and is processing everyone's refunds,"
They don't like that option as much.
The sun hangs lower and lower in the sky, threatening to shroud everyone in darkness as the minutes tick on.
"Well, I've had enough of this," Vil says, turning towards the exit. "I've put off my afternoon long enough."
"For once, we can agree on something," Leona murmurs, dragging Ruggie along with him.
No one is exactly surprised with this turn of events- but there's a definite sense of disappointment that everyone is sharing.
"He probably just forgot or 'somethin," Epel says, walking alongside Ace, Deuce, and Jack back to Ramshackle to update you on the happenings.
Jack shrugs. "He's definitely not the most organized, but there's no way someone could just "forget" about this. I think Jamil is right, he probably ran off with the money while he could. The swindler..."
Deuce is the next to add something to the pity party. "And yet, we should've known this was a possibility,"
"Shoulda seen it coming..." Epel murmurs. "I shoulda listened to Vil and pulled out while I still had the chance. Dang it..."
The lights are on in Ramshackle as the four approach, a warm and welcome sight after their disappointing afternoon. And the front door is open- were you expecting them?
"Hm. Well, think of it this way," Ace pushes the door the rest of the way open. "We may have been scammed, but at least nothing changes. I mean, it could've been worse."
"A lot worse," Deuce murmurs, following him inside.
The four make it into the foyer and stop dead in their tracks.
There are many things to expect walking into Ramshackle- cobwebs, dust, ghosts, you- Crowley is usually not one of them.
"You- you've been here this whole time?!" Epel shouts, throwing his arms out. "We were all 'waitin for 'ya like a bunch of idjits!"
Deuce and Ace wince. "Dude, chill... but seriously, where were you?"
Crowley doesn't have the chance to answer before something else steals away their attention.
You walk into the room, suitcase in hand. "Guys?"
The four turn to greet you, eyes wide at the luggage you're carrying. "What's that... Crowley?"
The man himself just stands there, pretending to ponder something. "I could have sworn I sent someone to break the news... how peculiar,"
Epel's brow knots. "What news?"
"A third party somehow got wind of our little... venture and donated a very high sum at the last minute. Along with a very passionately worded letter about our dear prefect's safety here at school," he pauses. "Or lack thereof."
Crowley sighs. "The name rung a bell, but... I couldn't imagine how or why anyone outside of NRC would be following the prefect's moves so closely,"
Deuce's eyes narrow. "Crowley. What are you trying to say?"
"Well, I..." he says, seemingly at a loss for words. "I'm afraid to say that our prefect is being transferred to Noble Bell College,"

Killing Daisuke’s parents but also like feeling so bad for them.
Imagine your kid absolutely devastated to have to be sent away to some shitty internship but you think it’s for the best. You don’t hear back from the company for a while and just think it’s gonna take a while. It’s a long trip after all. Then those long weeks turn to long months and then you get news they haven’t had contact with the crew in a long time. You don’t know if you’re ever gonna see your kid again.
You don’t know if he’s coming back from a trip he didn’t want to even go on. That you made him go on. I’d never forgive myself.
