au where I mix up all of the Ninja's powers and backstories into a slushie mess and see what happens.

So far I have:

Wu gets bitten by the Great Devourer and becomes super manipulative and toxic, as he tries to make Ninjago perfect, neat, and orderly with the Golden weapons. (Think lord business from the lego movie) Too bad he refuses to use his Oni side to obtain four arms to use them together.

Garmadon still trains under Chen and practices the Dark arts, but understands the balance of good and evil, and is filled with guilt over the fact that Wu got bitten when it should have been him. Wu, who doesn't like that Garmadon leans into "evil" practices and banishes him to the underworld.

The Green Ninja is Morro, who is biologically Wu’s son. (yeah, you thought canon morro was bad, this morro is so much worse since he's literally the weapon in making Ninjago in Wu's image) His personality is pretty much the same as canon (perfectionist, obsessive, crazy) it's just that he is in fact the Green Ninja and Wu enables him a lot.

Before everyone figures out that Morro is the Green Ninja, they think it might be Kai, who is the brother of Maya and has the power of Wind. He's Morro's replacement in this au, in the sense that he is also desperate to become the Green Ninja by whatever means necessary, and Wu pits Morro and Kai in a rivalry to see who becomes the Green Ninja. And Morro, who cannot fail his father, becomes violent and kills Kai. Kai isn't great in this au either and ends up in the cursed realm and later becomes a ghost.

Misako sees how problematic Wu is and after Garmadon gets banished, she runs away with baby Lloyd and tries to take Morro too, but Wu freaks out and thinks she tried to kidnap Morro so that she could use the Green Ninja's power for her own gain and he kills her to "save Morro," and thinks he kills Lloyd too.

Lloyd's actually fine, and just grows up at Darkley's until he gets adopted by the Royal Family, much to his dismay, and becomes the Quiet One who is willing to punch a dude to get his dad back. Because he doesn't have his powers, he relies a lot on his dragon and Oni heritage.

Nya is the only child of Ray and Maya, and when they disappear, Chen finds and adopts her, and she becomes the sister of Skylor. Despite having the element of fire, she relies heavily on mechs, and loves to invent, letting her sister use her powers while she designs Chen’s button chair.

Pixal is Ninja of Ice and still was created by Cyrus Borg, so Zane is still in the Birchwood Forest, forgotten and stuck there until Lloyd finds him and offers him a place in the cult group he’s starting.

Cole's dad dies, and while he tries to honor his dad's dancing legacy, he still inherits his powers and is forced to become a ninja. He's still a popular entertainer and pretty well known in Ninjago as such, and he really doesn't want to be a Ninja full-time and is only doing it because he's scared of what Wu will do to his loved ones. I do not know what power he should get and I am open to ideas.

Jay was raised as Cliff Gordon's son and so he's wealthy but he is also extremely talented in robotics. He and Cyrus Borg collaborate a lot and is best friends with Pixal. He does not have powers and tries to help Cole get out of the team. Honestly, I have no idea about Jay either.

Harumi releases the Serpentine after her parent sends her to a boarding school and forget about her. She does not want to be forgotten, and in a rage over it, discovers she can control Lightning.

Morro finds her and takes her in, reassuring her that there is a place for her on his team.

The team consists of Morro, Ash, Cole, Pixal, and now Harumi, all trained under Wu.

And then Lord Garmadon crawls out of the Underworld, eyes glowing purple and with four arms, demanding to see his son, and everyone starts to panic because they are pretty sure Lloyd is dead.

Damian Wayne for the ask thing

sexuality headcanon- Gay and cis, although I think that he likes to experiment with his gender expression a little with nail polish and makeup.

OTP- you know it's Damijon, such a great dynamic and how they mirror each other.

BROTP- Maps. We need more of them together. In fact, I think there should be a new team thingy with Damian, Jon, Maps, Maya, and Nika. Or just a friend group where they have sleepovers and gossip to each other.

NOTP- Him and Nika. Honestly, I would love for them to have a kissing scene like Artemis and Jason, but when they pull away, Damian goes. "No offence, but I'm now certain I'm homosexual." and Nika goes "None taken, because literally same." is it cringe? Yes. Do I care? No.

first headcanon that pops into my head- Dude is short. Like he never out grows any of his brothers. Not even Tim. No, I'm not projecting, why do you ask?

Favourite line from this character (this question is the bane of my existence lol)- "I'm a Wayne... and I'm an Al Ghul. But by being both, I can't be either..."- yes you can my sweet boy. (he's so child of divorce coded)

one way in which I relate to this character- art and animals. I love my cat so much, I would die for him. I'm also the type to ask my dad if we can keep any animal we come across as a half joke.

Thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character- Ian Wayne (iykyk)

cinnamon roll or problematic fave- Problematic fave, but also cinnamon roll. Yes, he's done some fucked up shit, but also consider that he's only 14 rn (I think) which is still very much a child.

I found some oldass Winx OCs, like from 2016 old back when I did everything on pixel bases, and I wanted to retouch them once more! especially since on god their designs were so plain lmao. They are:

Brook, Fairy of Liquid Moonlight (Solaria)

Sadly I never really built them up much as characters so at most I can only give like short sentences for each of them lol.

Brook is the leader, Aura's bff, the kind of friend that'll tell you "you are such a stupid bastard" as they make you soup when you're sick. Generally nice to be around until his UM ACKSHUALLY instincts override his common sense. (Originally the OC was a girl named Maya, but I have 5 other OCs with that name and water powers so now he's a dude.)

Aura is still a Brella kid meaning she has Stella's sometimes-overinflated ego with Brandon's natural charisma, aka she's a menace. She's very outdoorsy and competitive making her butt heads with Lina often.

Lina's will make most things a competition for the fun of it and to mess with Aura. Other than that she's a kind girl with a savior complex the size of the sun and a passion for sculpting just as big, wanting to live off her art in the future.

Delia was originally a Skoom kid but now she's just a random Eraklian girl. Sweet and kind, the girl takes no shit from everyone and can and WILL beat you up if you wrong her or her friends. Has a bad habit of getting into other people's shit to try to fix the situation.

Lisandro is the kind of guy that works out because it's fun and nothing else. Just as competitive as Aura (meaning he's also a target of Lina's shenanigans) but unlike her he's very aware of his flaws and that fucks him up a bit. Is also an indie singer.

Callisto is a really really kind and sweet girl with a fucking morbid sense of humor, that loves messing with people with Terrifying Plant Facts™. Other than that she's the capital-G Gamer of the group in both the good and bad sense of the word. She plays 5 MMORPGs at once someone save her from herself.

Inside Out 2

This is going to be pretty long, I think. Spoilers ahead.

I went to go see this with my siblings earlier this evening and oh. my. goodness. IT. WAS. AMAZING!!!

I did not go into it with high expectations, expecting another "first draft" movie. But no. It actually felt like a PIXAR movie.

Okay, the new emotions:

Anxiety: My immediate new favorite character. I love her wacky design and her VA (wasn't sure how Maya Hawke would do, but I absolutely ADORED her here). Also, as someone with GAD, she is my default emotion. I couldn't even hate her when she became the primary antagonist. And that panic attack scene. like.

Envy: Adorable. That's all I have to say. just. adorable. Again, character design and VA were perfect. I was kind of surprised that she was such a soft character. Almost seemed more like "emulation" or "admiration" than "envy." Wonder if they'll explore the harder/darker side of envy later I have only seen it once, so I could just be forgetting a part. I think there may have been a part where Envy caused Riley to side with the Firehawks. Anyway.

Ennui: Enjoyable character. Got a few laughs. Character design is fun like the others. I don't have strong opinions about them. I liked them.

Embarrassment: I liked the character design. "He's not big on eye contact or touching." Same dude. same. I was in physical pain whenever he was on screen, but I think that was the point. Also his teaming up with and hiding Sadness was so cute/sweet. Big marshmallow.

I've heard that guilt/shame were supposed to be involved. I would have loved this, but I can see how that might have made the movie a little too busy.

Now, the movie itself:

Some parts were rushed, but since this is a movie about anxiety, I'm not mad. Some worldbuilding parts could have been fleshed out more; it's only an hour and a half long, they could have made it a bit longer without it becoming tedious. Just linger on a few scenes a little.

Riley was ridiculously relatable. I mean, she always was, but this movie it's like they got footage of me. Except I got those feelings/thought processes a lot earlier than 13 and they've never gone away (if anything, they're getting worse. thanks burnout).

As someone who finds secondhand embarrassment to be physically painful, I spent most of the movie with my hands over my face. At one point (I think during the secrets vault) I slid down in my chair because I couldn't take it anymore. The squeaks and shrieks I had to keep quiet. I tell you.

As painful as those parts were, they were still cathartic. I felt seen. Having interests intended for much younger people. Being super conscientious about those interests and pretty much everything else to the point of missing the conversation. Constantly monitoring myself and being terrified that if I didn't I would end up alone. The conflicting self-images. The phrase of Riley's anxiety-driven self being "I'm not good enough" and anxiety being confused and trying to spin it as "just means we have room to improve" (or something like that). The panic attack. Oh my gosh the panic attack was perfect. The whirlwind and simultaneous paralysis. This movie made me cry so many times.

I am obsessed with this movie and will probably post a lot of art about it.

I lived abroad for a little bit as a teen in Vietnam which was amazing and I’m planning to move somewhere abroad again next year hopefully (seriously get me the hell out of SA)

My biggest dream / goal / career choice for most of my life was to be an actor but now I’m just kinda existing with no real drive or purpose in life. But I might pick acting back up now I’m becoming more comfy with myself and my gender :) my dream role is to play Frank from Rocky.

I wouldn't be embarrassed, I mean the article's not completely empty but it's obviously been stripped down to next to nothing compared to what it used to contain, and half the cited sources aren't really relevant at all. They briefly mention the MTF porn actor who coined the term but failed to mention the scores of other popular MTFs who were vehement proponents of the rhetoric (Riley J Dennis is the first one that comes to mind). And yeah that dude in the discussion page saying he's going to be watching the page and reverting any edits he doesn't like, isn't that very wikipedia illegal? I don't edit wikipedia but I'm fairly certain that camping on an article to make sure your edits aren't edited is not allowed.

It's definitely been a trend with "progressives" to flip the script on anything they've done and can see was wrong in retrospect, claiming "no actually YOU said this, not me." It's a very good reason to keep things documented, and I have huge respect for people who keep the receipts so we can hold people accountable for the harmful bullshit they've spread around. well. robin son of batman was really the comic that like cemented damian in my heart like its so crazy the art the writing (most of the time) the characterization is so. gutwrenching like he KILLS me in that comic. idk just his struggle with having to reconcile his desire to be what he was trained to be vs his idolization of his dad. damian in his early stuff is just constantly going What do you mean its bad to be ruthless and merciless and violent im trying to be you. and bruce goes. Who??? told you that?????? very funny. to me. horrible attitude horrible behavior he’s so stubborn but i love it. and there are so many reasons that he is the way he is especially when you realize that like. damian has literally never ever had fun or let himself have fun he doesn’t know how to PLAY with other kids and the batgirl panel where steph realizes this and gets a bouncy castle and forces him to. have fun. makes me crazy he’s a little kid what the hell. and son of batman even has some call backs to previous comics like theres this part in batman and robin (i think) where damian crushes a bat in his hands bc he got frustrated to show that its just like. natural for him to act that way bc thats what he was taught to do. violence is natural. and then when damian realizes he doesn’t actually. like violence that he doesnt want to hurt people fuuck dude he’s just a little boy trying to do what he thinks he’s supposed to do and then reckoning w the fact that he’s WRONG. and theres this panel in son of batman where damian is laying on his back in the batcave and staring at the skeleton of this bat he killed without even thinking of it. and he has like tears in his eyes. the potential of his character development is sooo compelling i just wish they gave him that chance. not to mention maya in son of robin as a perfect narrative foil for damian all the responsibility to family and the pressure of a legacy and what it means, whether they placed it on their own shoulders or not. soo good. and they’re silly. also damian’s pet goliath SIIICK SICKENINGG. one punch man image. I love telling this story!

I started drawing around 9 y/o and it was because my mom (who in no professional way is an artist. She works in law) was able to draw the cartoons me and my sister would see on TV.

I always looked up to mom as a little kid and wanted to figure out how to do that as well.

Time went on, I got into anime in middle school, checked out a bunch of Christopher Hart "how to draw anime books", and continued to draw all throughout high school.

Just to realize I didn't like how I was creating art.

I felt stuck and looking at the 7 years of art I did from middle school and high school I really felt I wasn't...changing.

Then I didn't change how I approached art for a few years after that. I was a workaholic so I never really dedicated as much time as I had wanted to figuring out how to change.

I tried branching out with different sources like studying Glen Keane gestures and loose western cartoon styles. Still felt stuck

THEN QUARANTINE HAPPENED 🗣️

Remember that workaholic life I mentioned? I use to work at least three jobs all at once before quarantine. Then I had no jobs. And I freaked out cause I saw my self-worth was connected with how much work I could do at once.

Not healthy, be better than me folks.

Anyway I needed a way to kill time and feel like I was accomplishing something. Then art reared her shiny ass in my face and said

"...draw, bitch"

So I did. All day. Every. Single. Day.

And there wasn't a goal to be a better artist this time. I just needed a damn project 😂. And it wasn't until the end of 2020 I saw improvement looking back to April

Also I won't lie, I made a tik tok in April, it blew up outta no where in August cause of Rock (freakin) Lee of all things. And I liked the attention. Don't be like me. I burned out very quickly due to that mindset of "make art people want to see as fast as possible!" Not make art for myself.

Anyway, by then I was use to drawing everyday. Not even full blown illustrations but like doodling everyday. And I wanted to keep that routine. So I got jobs that would allow me to at least be able to sketch at breakfast before work.

Then I got a job as a paint and sip instructor, so I was able to try painting more often

And from there I just started playing with art supplies all around. I treat art like math. My brain gets easily distracted and with that in mind, if I get tired of digital art, I go to color pencils or watercolor or gouache and then rinse and repeat.

Namor x Shuri Fankids

Soooooooo I've been thinking way too much about Shuri and Namor and I ended up plotting out a set of kids, each *very* loosely based on a comicbook character/identity that I thought would synergize well with their parents.

Azari - Eldest son of Namor and Shuri, who possesses an additional mutation to generate and conduct electricity, which earned him the name "K'awiil" (a Maya storm god) amongst the Talokanil. He's an energetic, happy-go-lucky sort, with an interest in architecture, but like his parents he will fight if needed, taking on the moniker of Thunderstrike when super-heroing.

Ramonda - Formidable as her namesake, Ramonda is the middle child and a dangerous warrior trained by the Dora Milaje and her Uncle Attuma, and eventually becomes per parents top general. However, much like her father she appreciates art, but does pottery and sculpture instead of painting to calm down. She wears an exoskeleton designed by her youngest brother and her mother, and tried out the names "Iron Cat" and "White Tiger" before settling for "Iron Tiger."

Kamar - The youngest, quietest child of the bunch. He very much takes after their mother, preferring the solitutde of the lab, designing new technology and upgrading the old. He loves music, with a particular taste for hip-hop. To aide in his inventing, Kamar developed a set of mechanical, tentacle-like arms, which (along with a suit) he wears into his rare fights, using the name "Octopus".

EDIT: oh! Forgot to mention, all three kids are about as durable as the average Talokanil. They can spend hours underwater, but their skin doesn’t exchange oxygen as well as their father’s so they still need to breathe air once in a while. They lack wings, but have pointy ears. They speak Xhosa and Maya interchangeably.

End Notes on Inspiration under the cut

Azari: So, in the comics (and orignally a cartoon) Azari is a child of T'Challa (Black Panther) and Storm (a mutant). Buuuut with T'Challa dead, and no Storm on the horizon, I feel comfortable with using him as a child of Shuri (Black Panther) and Namor (a mutant). "Thunderstrike" is a name for a Thor side character who wields a baton version of mjolnir. I don't think Thunderstrike is showing up *any* time soon.

Ramonda: She has the least going on when it comes who a specific character who inspired her, she's just named for her grandmother and is a badass. Her heroic identity, however, it twofold. There's a like... c-list villain associated with Black Cat and Iron Man called "Iron Cat," and then there's White Tiger. White Tiger is usually connected to the mystic side of Marvel, but one of the guys who was White Tiger (Kevin Cole) *was* once Black Panther for a bit. And yes, White Tiger is usually Latine, but as a Latino myself, I think the mantle being used by my Indigenous-Black fankid is fine, lol. And I really doubt we're gonna see an incarnation of either character any time soon, so...

Kamar: Sheesh. Okay, despite Namor kicking around since the 30s or whatever, dude only has like, one mainstream universe kid, and its Kamar. My Kamar is very In Name Only, as the comics Kamar wanted to kill Namor for a bunch of reasons. His hero identity is obvious, kinda. With Doc Ock come and gone from the MCU, the identity is up for grabs. I imagine Kamar's looking being more in like with the Superior Octopus suit, though. And interestingly, in the 2099 continutity, there's an Atlantean Doc Ock, which my Kamar kinda is (as Talokan is the MCU's Atlantis equivalent).

I mean, yes! Juni's characters are very deep and likeable. I like how much love and effort she puts in all of her characters. I'm sorry I answered this a little late, I was hoping to type up a nice coherent answer on my computer, but,, you said anything so,, mind I ramble? 👉👈🥺 I love this silly old man

Headcanons. Okay, so. He has golden eyes. He's associated with yellow and gold a lot, because of creation, but he prefers another colour. Not sure what.

Man's super short. Like, 150cm. Here is him next to Ray and Maya.

He's very fit, but not super toned and muscular. However much you'd need to be doing what he does.

More headcanons... like his dad and brother, he can purr, and is more flexible than most people. (Cause, yknow. The old fandom thing of dragon + oni= cat), and they also all have soft, floofy hair (an Oni trait). Because the dragon side is more dominant in him, he's relatively cold-blooded, and more susceptible to the cold than most people. (Makes having an extra warm best friend/boyfriend even better 🤭)

A more serious headcanon, he was relatively closed off after his father died. He was always more of an introvert, but Iza dying made the realisation hit him, that he's going to outlive people. He didn't really have many friends, until Ray basically decided this dude needed a friend. Ray got him to move past this fear, to live enjoying the now, rather than fearing the possibilities of the future. I think I worded that right. Anyway, they've been super close ever since. Unless it's an AU with Goldsmith, the only other person he's even remotely that close to is Misako.

There's only one more HC I can think of at the moment, and that's that he enjoys creative things, like art and stuff. His element probably plays a bit into that. He used to really like to paint, but doesn't do it much anymore. (There was a book that said Misako liked to paint... maybe they'd paint together and chat and have tea,,,)

There's the obvious ones, like Wusako, Spark, Goldsmith (AND. COMBINING THOSE. idk what their name would be, but,, maya/misako/ray/wu,,,), Waith (I think I've also seen it called Hopeshipping, which just makes me 🥺🥺🥺🥺), Wu/Libber, which one of my friends dubbed "CreativeShock". I'm sure that there's probably some more I might have forgotten.

I may have accidentally given him kids for three of those ships- Accidentally, because they all just popped into my head and refused to leave

I don't know if I have any random facts at the moment... apparently his favourite tea is white tea. Which I believe is the least processed type of tea. I think that might’ve been said in Wu's Teas, though, so take it was a grain of salt. (Or, since we're talking about tea.... a grain of sugar? :D)

Glacier dads au. Where Cole and Zane take baby Wu during S0G and go into hiding and just. Become his dads. It's very soft and sweet, most of the time.

Mermaid AU. Wu is a mermaid, as well as his family. He befriends, and TOTALLY doesn't fall for two humans (Ray and Maya). (But it turns out, Maya actually has mermaid ancestry, and eventually, can change forms between human and mermaid (she's an octopus mermaid, I can't remember the proper name at the moment.))

There's also a future part of that AU, where they're adults and have three kids and a house that's partially underwater. The kids can all change forms at will too. Nya is a regular mermaid, and Kai and Lar are octopi like their mama)

Band AU. Wus in an up and coming rock band with Ray, Maya, Lilly and Libber. They're called "Elements of Creation" or something, but I don't think they actually have powers fhdjsjm. This AU also has Goldsmith. They also have a little tuxedo cat whose name I forgot that Maya found and they rescued as a kitten.

Ice skater AU. Wu and Ray are together, and are figure skaters. However, duo competitions tend to be between male and female duos, so they search for another couple to have some partners for completions. Enter Maya and Misako. Begin them all falling in love 🤭

Family AU. An AU that goes along with the timeline of the show, the biggest difference being that Maya, Ray and Wu are all married. Kai and Nya live with Wu in the monastery after Ray ans Maya get taken away. Before being taken away, though, Maya had found out that she was pregnant again. She didn't get to tell her husbands before Krux took her and Ray while Wu was away, though :(

HAPPY Family AU. An alternate version of Family AU that branches off at around the time of Garmadon's banishment. He doesn't get banished, Ray and Maya don't get taken, and as little angst as possible happens. Lar gets to grow up with his siblings, who get to grow up with all three of their parents. Zane and Morro also get adopted. The kids get to spend lots of time with their cousin Lloyd. Oh, Ray's mother is also still alive, so the kids have their grandma! They call her Nanny :) that's what we called my paternal grandma, and. I think autumn deserves that honour :)

Alternate Timeline AU. Garmadon doesn't sign Wu's letter, and this event prompts him to leave Chen. Wu and Misako adopt Morro, and get married. Jun is in this AU :)

That's all the recent ones I can think of off the top of my head. There's also the LCA AU, Canon Divergent AU and Fantasy AU, but I haven't really touched those in years. OH and the Superhero AU. I'd like to get back to some of those but. Idk they kinda make me cringe since they're from like. Four years ago.

OH he's also heavily involved in Single Mamasako AU. He helps Misako with Lloyd whenever he can, even when he starts training the ninja. ....there's also an alternate version of that AU where he and Misako get together,, and I have also been thinking of a kinda AU that goes along with the show, where they become a thing .... around after s10? Idk I only thought of it the other day because. I love them. Wusako is cute and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

What plot points would change due to the inclusion of your character in canon?

Well obviously what happens to Rex in his life would change. He would have someone to go to for help after order 66 and someone who would always be with him for the rest of his life. He'd have kids, a little jedi son..he would've gotten to live a more full life than he was denied in canon.

Besides your face/voiceclaim, who do you think would be cast as your character?

Hmmmm...I'd really have to think on this because I just LOVE my faceclaim for Mari so much. Possibly Maya Jama could work. Overall vibe of her as a person is right hehehehe.

What fan-material would exist for your character in fandom?

Oh dude there'd be quite a lot I think. I think just based on how much she so deeply loves Rex people would be obsessed with them as a couple. But I wouldn't be surprised if people shipped her with Padme or other clones she's close with like Fox or Fives...or even ones she does not get along with like Wolffe.

Probably lots of pin up art drawn of her too because shes quite the dynamo of a woman and shes so outspoken I could see people wanting to draw her likeness quite a bit.

I said a little bit above but the wildest ones I could think of would be:

Mari and Padme - They work so well together I could see people liking this haha.

Mari and Wolffe - They are kinda like....enemies at first. They don't like each other but they're both super slutty....there's a very deliciously compelling story that could be told there.

Mari and Fives - Again because they're both slutty and charming and playful in the best way. They would've had a lot of fun together.
