Different anon, but I saw your tags on the BabsVass post, and I think I had the perfect idea for how they can involve Tim in their dynamic.

For Cass, Babs is mommy, and Dick is hers and mommy's boyfriend. It's perfect, and Cass has all the love and positive reinforcement she needs, but Bruce is still being stubborn and refusing to connect with his Birds, especially Tim, who's had to pick up after Batman to keep that man from killing himself.

Tim could use some love, and anytime I look at Tim and Cass together, a significant part of me goes "ah yes, the twins from different mothers". So imagine that's how they initially pull Tim away from Bruce.

Cass always sticking to his side whenever possible while she's not with Babs. If you can't find Cass, and she isn't with Babs or Dick, then go find Tim, and Cass will be right there, almost fused to his side.

Their first moment of anything more than the sibling-like relationship is when Tim comes back from a case tired and sore and needing a good hug, so he beelines for Cass, who's also coming back from a stake out, and holds her, their similar heights letting tim perfectly prop his chin on her shoulder and just cling to her, while they slowly strip each other out of their suits.

(based on this DickBabsCass post) anon you are ENLIGHTENED i am obsessed with all of these thoughts on all levels-

first of all, i *always* adore any headcanons that play with the idea of Tim and Cass looking like twins or acting like twins. having a similar fighting style, being very in-tune with each other, being *just* similar enough that it throws people off and makes them double-take and question. i think it adds much more of an incest sort of factor to their relationship that's fun to play with- TIm was trained by Shiva and Cass is her daughter. i think it's perfectly reasonable for them to be mirrors in a way, with similar habits and personality quirks.

and i love the thought of Cass wanting to steal Tim. Babs got Dick, so clearly, it's possible. but with Tim i think it'd be just a little more difficult, because most of Dick's attachment to Bruce is emotional, but Tim's attachment is logical. so it's hard to convince him to separate himself from what he views as his "duty" as Robin. he signed up for this and sure, he *wants* an out. maybe he's had a crush on Cass for a while now, and of course a crush on Dick so what Cass is offering is everything he could ask for- but he can't bring himself to separate from the role he chose. he's thinking about all the logistics of where it'll land Bruce emotionally- how he'll handle that sort of isolation again.

so i think stealing Tim could be a more dead dove move, something that's *definitely* laced with manipulation and some guilt-tripping. Cass fuses to his side, both bc she genuinely loves him and feels comfortable there like you said, but also to build up his trust. to make him default to working with her instead of Bruce. bc going to Bruce for cases can be unreliable, at best. if he's off-world, doing something with the Justice League, or just deems it unimportant, Tim is left on his own. and Cass is the one swooping in to provide support and talk over his cases with him, help him on patrols anytime Bruce is gone. i could see Babs pushing Bruce out of Gotham more and more, sending him on distress calls that she *could* send the Birds of Prey or other League members on, just because she knows Tim is Cass' current pet project and well, she's all for encouraging Cass build strong relationships.

i *love* the thought of them slowly building up to intimacy. that it just sort of happens in a way Tim can't deny, one second he's helping Cass strip armor and the next their kissing and it just feels like a natural progression of their relationship. all his friends have been making jokes about him and Batgirl anyway, so he can't even deny it atp. he just kisses her and presses into her into he's practically codependent in a way that she has programmed him to be, but also how they naturally fit together.

and GOD i love her basically edging TIm until she gets what she wants. i think it's extra fun if Cass is just a little frustrated at how long this is taking. it was basically quick and easy for Dick and Babs compared to this. so she gets a little impatient and pushes a little harder. going further than kissing and groping until Tim is panting under her and she can tell he's so close, he doesn't even have to tell her.

and Tim has sort of always known about the weird relationship going on with Dick and Babs and Cass. Dick and Babs call each other boyfriend and girlfriend, and it's a very open secret that Cass is sleeping with both of them and has been with Babs longer than Dick has. sort of one of those things everyone knows about but doesn't talk about, so Tim doesn't know the sordid details until Cass is whispering them in his ear. calling Babs *mommy* and describing exactly how Dick looks during sex, bc she *knows* about Tim's childhood crush on Dick and she's rlly leaning int it. she talks about how it feels to be emotionally taken care of too, that it's not just about the sex. and then she says Tim should join, and he's so close just from her talking about everything that he almost says yes on instinct. but he holds back and tries to say no. bc he knows what happened when Dick said yes. Dick has all but completely pulled away from bruce emotionally. and Tim is looking at it logistically, always thinking about Bruce's wellbeing. he knows he's going to get pulled away too, even if he'll still work with Bruce as Robin, he won't be the steady partner that Bruce needs.

but all of Cass' argument hinges on *Tim's* needs and wants. and so far, none of Tim's hero life has been about what he needs. for everyone else, they became heroes bc they needed it to be set on the right path. but not Tim. Tim's needs get compartmentalized so he can focus on everyone but himself and do what needs to be done. and now, it's vulnerable to have his needs on display. it's dizzying for Cass to be pointing out how Tim is neglecting himself and how very strong her points are about him burning himself out, and what'll happen if he has nothing left to *give* Bruce bc he's run himself too thin. and she's right, that he *feels* like he's on the cusp of falling apart under Bruce's pressure, so finally, he says yes without even meaning to. bc she's right no matter what he tries to argue, especially when it's so hard to think with her body against his.

i LOVE all the sexual scenarios you described too, oh my god. there's so much pent up between Dick and Tim that you're right, their first time would have a lot of tears and complicated feelings. it'd take a while before they got that all out, while Babs and Cass are just gently encouraging, telling them to take what they need. after that, Tim settles into understanding the dynamic. he gets to be used by Cass as she rides him under Babs' instruction as Dick is eating Babs out. he gets fucked by Dick while Cass is sitting on his face and whining. he gets to be the one giving Dick and Cass pleasure under Babs instruction, and sometimes even getting to give Babs pleasure, which feels like the highest reward, since she's their mommy. Tim slots into their dynamic so neatly that almost nothing changes- Cass and Tim are still glued to each other's side and Tim does still try to work with Bruce bc he's a stubborn bastard like that. but now he's more aware of Bruce's flaws and every argument he has with Bruce does more to push him away and toward Cass and Babs and Dick. Tim gets why Dick goes to Babs when he's angry at Bruce, now. he's doing the same thing, until he's angry at Bruce less and less bc he's working with Bruce less and less, completely buried in missions that Babs is asking him to do instead. and he likes it better when it's her in his ear instead of Bruce, she's kinder and gives him soft praise when he does well, and he knows when he comes home he'll get fucked nicely for it.

Cass is completely pleased, she has her twin, her mommy, and her mommy's boyfriend. Babs is utterly smug, having essentially stolen everyone right from under Bruce's nose. and Dick is just as content, having his girlfriend and Tim and Cass right where they belong. it's fucked up, and to a degree of all of them know there was an element of grooming from Babs (and even Cass, for Tim), but sometimes, that's just how things play out.

honestly i might write a fic of these four based on these thoughts if i dig my way out of my inbox anytime soon, bc this has sat in my inbox for like a week just so i can reread it and go feral again. anon ily. ty. (especially bc i also love the idea of TimBabs on it's own, but the Arkhamverse has saturated the content and made it boring when i want fucked up dead dove grooming vibes where Babs just has a weird Thing about the Robin mantle but no one ever shares my vision.)
